I just realized that it's been a while since I reviewed a romance movie. And it's also been awhile I've seen a romance movie. The day before yesterday, I happened to discover the third movie of the Spanish version of My fault was out. My fault is a movie, a trilogy based on a book with the same title. I immediately went to get the movie because I needed something sweet and light in my life this week, and going hand in hand with a Monday, I decided to watch a romcom. Would I consider it a terrible decision making a Monday a whole lot worst by watching a romcom? Not entirely, if it's good then it's like sending thousands of butterflies my way, pulling the corner of my lips upward every awkward and single time. But if it's a horrible romcom, then my Monday goes head fast into doom, chaos, boom.
The title of the three movies goes like this: My fault, your fault and Our fault. Watched the whole three movies and I still couldn't figure out who's fault it was? Has to be mine, I thought at one point.
I think I reviewed the London version of the first movie this year, sometime around April. But I will give it a brief through for those who have no idea what I'm talking about. My fault is a love story between two step siblings, Nick and Noah. Nick Leister is a millionaire,(billionaire) heir and his father recently marries Noah's mother, making her part of the family. But when Nick and Noah meets, there's a tension between them, a connection. At first, none of them understands what's going on and they steer clear, firstly because of the fact that they were practically siblings now. But that doesn't stop them, not really. They end up falling in love with each other, invoking a spicy display of forbidden love. And if you think that's bad, you should read Credence by Penelope Douglas. It's worst and I have in no way exaggerated.
Anyways, our fault is the third and final movie and I'd say it was a let down compared to the other two movies. Things were moving too fast, and they were just trying to fit too many things within the almost two hours run time. Which was clearly not enough, but I do realize why they did that and what they had in mind.
The story of the movie is a simple, forbidden, spicy and wanted. Dragging it takes away the value and make it boring in the eyes of viewers. A clear example is After. After was such a good movie series but it fell off when they started bringing more and more. And more and more never makes a lot of sense like the first and the second movie. This happens 90% of the time. I am holding on so tight from keeping myself from revealing any spoilers. But overall, I will rate this last and finally movie 3, stars out of 4. And that's me being generous.
You ever press play on a film just because your favorite actor’s face shows up on the poster? Yup, that was me with this film. Seeing Nathalie Emmanuel had me sold before I even knew the plot and for that alone, I wanted to love this film. But somewhere between the gunfire, the emotional tension and the cool Parisian streets, it lost me a little.
Emmanuel plays Zee. She’s a calculated and composed assassin whose world unravels after she refuses to carry out a hit on a singer named Jenn(played by Diana Silvers) whom she made go blind during one of her hits. Her single act of mercy turns her into a target, forcing her to fight both her enemies and her conscience. The setup of the film actually promises a sharp, layered story of betrayal, survival and maybe even redemption but it doesn’t quite land the emotional punch it aims for.
Now, let’s talk about what actually worked.
Number one is the visuals. It’s gorgeous. The Paris setting is sleek, moody and quite cinematic. It is the kind of backdrop that makes shadows look like a secret or threat. Emmanuel herself? An absolute powerhouse. She glides through fight scenes with precision and nails the quiet moments too. You can tell she’s giving it her all, even when the story gives her little to work with.
Second is the soundtrack which also helps as it pulses with just enough energy to keep you hooked when the plot starts to wobble.
The problem lies in the writing. It’s as if the movie wants to be deep but doesn’t want to take its time getting there. I didn’t feel enough emotional pull to fully invest in Zee’s choices. The action scenes, although very decent, lack that adrenaline spike you expect from a film with this kind of premise. Everything looks good, but it feels a bit empty. I also didn’t fancy the over use of slo-mo. Almost made it feel like those exaggerated Bollywood action films. By the halfway point, I realized I was more invested in Emmanuel’s performance than the movie itself.
By the time this film ended, I was left thinking that it could have been something great. The potential was there especially with such great cast, setting and concept but it just didn’t quite hit home. Still, I’ll give Emmanuel her flowers. She carried this film with grace and grit.
Rating: 6.5/10
That said, if you’re a fan of sleek, stylish thrillers who enjoy seeing strong female leads take center stage and for anyone else who just wants to see Nathalie Emmanuel prove (again) that she deserves way more lead roles then I do recommend.
Greetings, friends. It's been several days since I last posted here, and this time I want to come back to tell you about my impressions of a movie I saw recently. I've mentioned that I haven't been watching or finding any movies that I can connect with. Well, it's not that this one connected with me to that extent, but I must say that I found it somewhat entertaining, and when I started watching it, I didn't expect much from it.
For some time now, most of the movies or series I've been watching are nothing more than recommendations from social media, in search of something I really like and find somewhat different. I decided to share my impressions of this one because, although it's not something we haven't seen before, it did entertain me a little. I'm talking about the movie “What Keeps You Alive,” which is psychological horror and suspense. Well, to be honest, this movie is about a married couple who go to one of their country houses, where strange things happen. Jackie seems to have a shady past and a psychopathic personality. Jules detects this, and from there, strange events begin to unfold, and she discovers that Jackie is not the good person she claims to be.
To be honest, I think it's a bit predictable, and in the end, things happen that make you say, “But why did you come back?” But sometimes we don't understand from this side of the screen, and it's also a way to lengthen the film and add filler that the plot should never be without. For me, the message it conveys is that you never really know people, but of course, it's not like you're going to believe you're married to a murderer, but in other areas of life, you can relate to this.
What Keeps You Alive | Official Trailer
Is it bad? I would say not entirely, it's entertaining, but not so much that I would say it's something I've never seen before. Probably yes, but it's good to sometimes reset your mind with other movies and watch something different for a while. I liked the girls' performances. The ending was a bit rushed because it's not what a normal person would do, confronting someone before calling the police, but she did it for a reason and it kind of saved the ending, so I liked it. I recommend it, you won't waste your time, but don't expect too much. Cheers.
Okay... full disclosure: When I first heard about this kdrama, I thought "Time travel, palace kitchen, cooking magic and romance? Feels like a rehash of Mr. Queen or something". And I doubted it would hit as hard. I was wrong, though. From the very first episode the drama had me hooked, and there wasn't a single boring part in it. I mean it. Every dish, every palace scene and every moment was just beautiful to watch.
I was lying down with my phone, watching the drama, and was like "just one more", then I said "okay, I should just watch the next one". Before I knew it, I had watched half of the series in one go.
The series had me laughing, but also left me on edge in anticipation of what would happen next. I wasn't checking how many minutes was left in the episode, which is actually rare for me.

Initially, Ji-yeong's only goal is to survive. She had to satisfy the king with food and that too using ingredients she barely recognizes, just so she could stay alive until she could return to her own time. But as time passes, she becomes more comfortable with the era she has somehow ended up in. And things slowly started to change between her and the king. He softens and she grows stronger.

My Thought and Rating
What I loved most was their romance. It wasn't rushed and it wasn't all sugar either. Every glance, every unspoken word and every meal between them carried emotions. Their chemistry reminded me exactly why I fell in love with kdrama in the first place - that slow and patient build-up that makes your heart ache in the best way.
And can we talk about how beautiful the scenes were? The food scenes are pure art. Like do people actually decorate and serve their food in such way?. Every food scene made me hungry, for real. The storyline and portrayals were superb as well.
Of course, the drama wasn't just romance. There is palace politics, betrayal, power struggles - all the things that make a historical kdrama shine.
Still, I have to admit, I was already sad and angry when I got to the last episode. I really thought they deserved a proper happy ever after. It felt unfair that they had to part ways... but then that last twist - when the king meets Ji-yeong again in the future - completely got me. I still have questions on how it happened but let's leave that for now.
I would rate this series a 9.5 out of 10.
It was indeed a heartfelt, rich and refreshing watch. Bon Appétit, Your Majesty didn't just show us a story. They cooked one, seasoned it, and served it up hot.
The series made me laugh and I cry. And by the time it end, I literally just sat there smiling at the screen like I had won a lottery. The drama was an absolute masterpiece. Like I said earlier, it had not even a single boring, overdo or unneccessary moment - not even the romance, nor the politics or family drama.
So, if you're wondering if this kdrama is worth your time, the answer is yes, yes and yes.

-Canal: RCTV.
-Año estimado: 1980 a 1981.
-Guion & Adaptación: Inés Rodena (historia original), Manuel Muñoz Rico, Ligia Lezama, José Simón Escalona, Alicia Barrios.
-Protagonistas: María Conchita Alonso (Marielena), Jean Carlo Simancas (Daniel).
Bendiciones.
By mid-Season 2, The Expanse had firmly established itself as television's darkest space opera, teaching viewers that in this meticulously crafted universe, the most extremely unpleasant things could happen to multitudes of innocent people with terrifying regularity. This series' unflinching commitment to portraying the brutal realities of its colonised Solar System had been cemented with the shocking conclusion of Dulcinea, the very first episode, and continued when Eros incident unfolded with devastating consequences. While this grim tone remained consistent throughout the season, certain episodes plunged viewers into even deeper moral abysses than others. Pyre, the eighth instalment of Season 2, stands as one such episode—a profoundly unsettling yet masterfully executed chapter that simultaneously ranks among the strongest episodes of the entire season. It achieves this distinction not through grand space battles or political machinations, but by focusing relentlessly on the human cost of cosmic-scale conflict through the eyes of an ordinary man caught in the maelstrom.
'The Seventh Man', the preceding episode, frustratingly withheld direct depiction of the Ganymede incident, opting instead for indirect exposition that left viewers piecing together events through second-hand accounts. Robin Veith's script for Pyre brilliantly compensates for this narrative gap by introducing Dr Praxideke Meng (Terry Chen), a major character whose connection to the catastrophe is devastatingly personal. Unlike the hardened military personnel and political operatives who dominate The Expanse's landscape, Meng is a botanist—gentle, intellectual, and utterly unprepared for the horrors unfolding around him. Injured by falling glass when one of Ganymede's agricultural domes collapsed, he awoke from a coma aboard a Belter refugee freighter, surrounded by destitute survivors and consumed by a single overwhelming concern: the fate of his young daughter Mei (Leah Jung), whom he last saw moments before the disaster struck.
The episode's emotional devastation begins when Doris (Grace Lynn Kung), Meng's Martian-acquainted colleague, offers him a clue that proves utterly crushing—Mei's clinic in Sector 4 was completely destroyed during the incident, and his daughter is almost certainly dead. As Meng struggles to process this unimaginable loss while Doris urges him to start anew with her on Mars, another atrocity unfolds before his eyes. The ship's crew, operating under the pretext of transferring passengers to another vessel, separates its human cargo between Belters and "Inners" (Earth-born and Martian citizens). Meng, being born and raised on Ganymede, is at the last moment told not to join Doris as she and numerous others are led toward an airlock. The scene that follows is among the most horrifying in the series' history—Meng's helpless witnessing of Doris and others being callously spaced into the void, their desperate pleas cut short by the vacuum of space. When the ship finally reaches Tycho Station, Meng, still in profound shock, attempts to share his horrific story with authorities who dismiss him, preoccupied with matters they deem far more pressing.
Meanwhile, the Rocinante crew faces its own fractures. Following Dawes' abduction of Cortazar and successful escape from Tycho Station, the rift between OPA leadership and Fred Johnson becomes increasingly public. Within the crew itself, tensions surface as Holden belatedly admits his desire to kill Cortazar and prevent another protomolecule horror, while Naomi continues concealing her knowledge of the protomolecule container's whereabouts. When Holden theorises that some remnant of the protomolecule might still exist, Naomi reluctantly participates in triangulation efforts, only to discover—to her utter horror—traces of the alien substance on Ganymede itself.
This discovery makes it painfully clear that the protomolecule, directly or indirectly, played a role in the Ganymede catastrophe. The search for Protogen's involvement leads the crew to Dr Lawrence Strickland (Ted Atherton), a company employee working on Ganymede as a paediatrician who had been scheduled to examine Mei Meng. Further investigation of security footage reveals both Strickland and Mei leaving the clinic well before the incident occurred—a tantalising suggestion that both might have survived. The Rocinante crew resolves to return to Ganymede to investigate further, with Meng—having previously collaborated with Strickland on botanical research—eventually agreeing to join them as their guide, clinging to the faint hope of reuniting with his daughter.
Before the Rocinante can depart Tycho, another crisis erupts. Dawes' inflammatory speech, accusing Fred Johnson of being an Earther incapable of properly representing Belter interests despite his best intentions, incites OPA extremists like Staz (Alden Adair) to attempt a coup and seize control of Earth's thermonuclear missiles acquired during the Eros incident. Though Drummer (Cara Gee) refuses to support Dawes' rebellion, her subordinate Edin (Kevin Claydon) joins Staz and his cohorts in capturing Drummer, Johnson, and the station's control deck. When Johnson refuses to surrender missile codes, Staz shoots Drummer in the stomach and begins torturing her. The coup ultimately fails when the Rocinante crew intervenes, cutting off air supply to the control deck. The plotters lose consciousness, allowing Drummer's rescue. Defying her injuries, Drummer staggers to her feet, retrieves a weapon, and delivers brutal justice by executing Staz and Edin. Though grateful, Johnson informs Holden's crew they will no longer be welcome on Tycho Station.
Pyre succeeds magnificently because, for the first time in The Expanse's ultraviolent epic, the story is told primarily from the perspective of an ordinary person untouched by military training or political ambition. Meng's sole motivation isn't revenge, power, or ideological victory—it's the profoundly human desire to reunite with his daughter and find some semblance of meaning amid senseless destruction. Terry Chen's exceptional performance embodies the first major character who isn't a military veteran, police officer, or hardened labourer, but rather a gentle scientist and devoted family man thrust into circumstances far beyond his experience or comprehension. This ordinary perspective makes the horrors he witnesses even more impactful, as viewers experience the brutality of this universe through eyes unaccustomed to such violence.
This perspective renders the spacing-out scene particularly harrowing. Having barely survived the Ganymede collapse and processed the apparent loss of his daughter, Meng is forced to witness his friend Doris being murdered with casual cruelty. What makes this sequence especially disturbing is how the Belter crew employs methods chillingly reminiscent of Nazi tactics used to deceive victims into gas chambers—same perfidious language, same genocidal hatred justifying the vile act. Directed with unflinching realism by Kenneth Fink, this scene ranks among the most disturbing in the series' entire run, precisely because it's viewed through Meng's horrified, uncomprehending eyes rather than those of a battle-hardened soldier.
There is remarkably little space for humour or levity in Pyre, creating an atmosphere of near-constant dread that only finds temporary equilibrium when the OPA coup plotters receive their just deserts. The sequence where Drummer, despite severe abdominal injuries, staggers to her feet to personally execute her attackers is particularly cathartic—a rare moment of visceral satisfaction in an otherwise relentlessly grim episode. Drummer's defiance of pain and insistence on delivering justice with her own hands provides a powerful counterpoint to Meng's helplessness, demonstrating different responses to trauma within the same brutal universe.
If Pyre contains any flaw, it might be in the suggestion of Mei Meng's survival, which could strike some viewers as a slightly "soapish" copout in an otherwise uncompromising narrative. The revelation that Strickland extracted Mei from the clinic before the collapse introduces a narrative thread that, while necessary for future plot development, momentarily threatens to undermine the episode's otherwise unflinching commitment to portraying irreversible loss. However, this minor quibble does little to diminish Pyre's overall impact, as the episode wisely keeps Meng's hope tentative and fragile rather than presenting it as guaranteed salvation.
Ultimately, Pyre stands as one of The Expanse's finest hours precisely because it refuses to look away from the human cost of interplanetary conflict. By anchoring its narrative to Prax Meng's ordinary yet extraordinary journey through unimaginable trauma, the episode transcends science fiction tropes to deliver a profoundly moving meditation on parental love, loss, and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of cosmic-scale indifference. It reminds us that behind every casualty statistic in The Expanse's meticulously constructed universe lies a story as heartbreaking as Meng's—a story of ordinary people navigating extraordinary horrors with nothing but their humanity to guide them. In doing so, Pyre deepens our emotional investment in this universe and elevates The Expanse from compelling space opera to essential, unforgettable television.
Caught Stealing is one of those movies that sounds way cooler in theory than what it actually delivers on screen but I still like it enough to give it an 8/10 something that is weird no this post there is going to be a love and hate, not saying its bad but damn its such a weird experience watching this thing, like you are suppose to laugh and you do but its like some scenes start great and in the middle they screw it up and I dont know if all this was on purpose because there are still certain aspects of the movie that are very controversial like clothing, Math Smith character looks, the cat Bud. Darren Aronofsky doing a Guy Ritchie style movie sounds good on paper except the big problem here is the movie never fully commits too being one or the other, your left with something that feels like two different movies fighting for screen time. Austin Butler is carrying this entire thing on his back, I mean that literally, the dude is in every single scene doing heavy lifting, he does an amazing job playing this regular guy named Hank, used too have dreams about being a baseball star back in high school, talks too his mom on the phone about the San Francisco Giants, watches games at work, lives a pretty simple boring life until everything goes too absolute hell. The whole mess kicks off because Hank agrees too watch his neighbors cat named Bud, neighbor is this punk rock British guy named Russ who needs too go too England, his dad is sick or dying or something like that, sounds simple enough until suddenly Hanks getting his ass kicked by Russian mobsters, these guys beat him so bad he loses an entire kidney because they thought he was running away with their money, wakes up in the hospital confused as hell, now hes trying too figure out where some mysterious key is hidden for a locker that holds $4 Million, people around him keep dying left and right, the body count piles up, Hank is stuck in the middle of this shit storm he didnt ask for.

The movie takes place in 1998, it really does feel like the late 90s with actual cameras from that era, he nails that late 90s vibe completely, no cell phones anywhere, Twin Towers still standing in the New York skyline, everything looks kinda grainy, like your watching something that was buried in a time capsule for twenty five years. But the movie at certain point gets lost and real messy with the tone, sometimes the movie is trying too be funny, sometimes its trying too be dark, sometimes its both at the exact same time, those two tones just dont blend right so easy, its like oil and water, its like watching a comedy that suddenly turns to aggressive, insults can be funny but only until a certain limit, not that they were just insulting each other but just as an example, the movie goes to both ends of the rope and never stays in the middle. There are moments where I was laughing at something Austin Butler said, he does have a comedy side that suits him depending on the script but this time the movie doesnt help that much when all of the sudden something brutal happens, someone gets shot in the head, the cat gets kicked by one of the Russian guys, I am sitting there going wait why did they cut off the scene this way? they just ruin it, is this suppose too make me laugh? because it cant be both sick to the stomach and funny, neither one is working the way it should. The pacing in the middle section drags quite a bit too, no way around that fact, theres this whole chunk where Hank is just running around New York, trying too piece together what happend the night he got blackout drunk, he lost the key somewhere, cant remember where he put it, I guess this is part of the journey that at times felt they were completely lost waiting for something interesting too happen, they are basically scavenge hunting, rinse and repeat for like twenty minutes straight. Matt Smith plays the neighbor Russ, who they marketed him in the trailers like he was gonna be a way bigger part of the story, I like Matt Smith alot from many of his roles but mostly from HOTD, the guys got range, does his punk rock British guy thing, mohawk, leather jacket, but over all he doesn't get too much screen time, such a waste of a good actor who could of added way more too the story.
The cat honestly gets more screen time than half the human characters, Im a cat person and love "Bud" with his hurt paw, his attitude, its like the movie wanted you to care more about the cat than anyone else, thats not a good sign when the animal is more interesting. Zoe Kravitz plays Hanks girlfriend Ivonne, they have great chemistry together in the early scenes, they do care for each other, you want too see them figure there shit out, she wants him too stop drinking, face his past traumas, hes trying but keeps falling back into old habits, even sounds familiar so at least it work for me, here is the part, until now you can tell how there are some aspects of the movie that I love and others I just hate and still like the movie. Next is exactly a moment I hated and its she getting killed halfway through the movie, it feels like such a waste of a good character, we barely got too know her beyond being the supportive girlfriend, she had this whole backstory about being something medical related, she just dies and becomes motivation for Hank too keep going. The action scenes are fine but nothing special if we are being honest here, theres a foot chase through Chinatown that looks cool, Austin Butler jumping over stuff, sliding under things, a car chase that ends with Hank crashing into stuff, nearly dying, even some shootouts in a bar that get bloody fast, all this scenes felt very creative but just that cool scenes, its like the movie is a bunch of clips, I would have prefer if they gave more character build up to Russ and kept him with Hank, but for the most part the movie is fueled by guild, running from your past mistakes, those two things dont always mix together too well.

Austin Butler has this whole backstory, car accident in high school, killed his best friend, ruined his baseball career before it even started, he has nightmares about it every single night and wakes up in a cold sweat reliving the crash, the hole event is something that hunts him down for ever and marks his character for the entire movie, it really makes you want the guy to get over it and pass the page so he can move on because of the weight he is carrying for a life mistake. Butler sells the hell out of those emotional moments, his face, his voice but the movie keeps cutting away from that depth, shows us Russian gangsters yelling at each other in broken English or these two Jewish hitmen played by Liev Schreiber, Willem Dafoe, quirky characters, there dressed in traditional Orthodox Jewish clothing, they visit there mom whos played by Carol Kane, this two hitmen work for the Russians, the movie is kinda of a mess to properly explain the hole thing of why now Hank and Russ are on this ugly situation but the truth is Hank is the innocent here, all he did was feed Bud and access Russ apartment. I wanted too love this movie more than I actually did, the pieces are all there, good director, great lead actor, interesting story, such a cool era too work with and they did get the 90s vibe clean, but the execution just misses the mark, I cant call this a great movie but its good, its watchable, its entertaining enough for a one time watch but its not what it could of been.
I will say the ending does land properly and almost makes up for some of the earlier problems, Hank finds out that the two Jewish hitmen killed Ivonne, collateral damage too send him a message so here is whe he snaps, crashes the car there all riding in, straight into a concrete pole at full speed, kills them both instantly, really brutal scene and its hilarious because its like he when through literally his worst nightmare crashing again, its like he finally said screw it I need to crash again so I can get over with like this time he did something good on the same act, taking responsibility for his actions even if that means becoming a killer himself, it works as a character moment even if it feels a little too neat. He ends up escaping too Mexico, all the money stuffed in a bag, the cat tucked under his jacket, sends half the cash too his mom, then he is just sitting at a bar on a beach somewhere warm, watching baseball on TV but he turns it off, hes finally ready too move on from his obsession with what could of been. Its a solid ending, gives Hanks journey some closure but also leaves you wondering if he actually changed for the better or choose violence over his soul, if he just became more numb too everything after all the violence, all the death he caused, but this might be just me trying to over complicate things but honestly Butler has given us this kind of complex and deep characters in the past where he plays them out awesome but the ending felt more like I just watched something that was almost great but fell short. Overall Caught Stealing is a fun movie to watch, you are going to laugh and feel for the characters, specially for Bud, its not peak crime thriller but its something in between that doesnt always work, Austin Butler is fantastic, carries the movie even when the script lets him down, the 90s setting is done really well, great attention too detail everywhere you look, there are enough interesting ideas here too keep you engaged, even when the execution felt flat at times, I would still give it a weird 8 out of 10, for this weird movie that is worth watching once especially if your a fan of Austin Butler.

The documentary manages to give a chronological overview of all the events that began to unfold, from the posting of the event on Facebook to what happened when the date arrived. Several people involved were interviewed: military personnel, local residents, people who sought to profit from it, influencers, and the main protagonist, Matty Roberts.
The subject matter is entertaining because it is unprecedented, and like a snowball, the meme ended up getting bigger and bigger. Although Matty did not seek to create anything tangible at the beginning, he began to develop a possible musical event, perhaps turning the meme into reality. We also see the other side, that of the government and authorities, concerned about how real this “invasion” could become.
The editing is excellent, the succession of events feels quite dynamic, and I finished the documentary quickly. The only downside is that certain situations are not entirely clear.
If you're interested in seeing how a meme goes from a joke to a potentially catastrophic event, you should watch this entertaining film.

When I saw the synopsis of this film, even when I saw the promotional image, I must say that I didn't feel like watching it at all. It looked like one of those B-grade horror films that are so bad they're not even funny. But how wrong I was, because even though it's a low-budget horror film, I can't say it's trashy, because the acting is very well done, the story is excellently told, the practical special effects and even the occasional computer-generated special effect is very well done.

One of those films that surprises me that it hasn't been better known by the public because, in fact, it has quite a bit of gore, it has a fairly solid story, it even has moments interspersed with animation, especially when they tell flashbacks, which gives the film quite a good impact. And while it follows a linear story of a mother with her son who has just lost his father, the story also revolves around the stories of other children and the story of the antagonist himself, and all of this greatly enriches the plot. It's true that the most anticipated plot twists, or rather, the plot twist of the film, are easy to spot, but it's still a very good horror film.

If I had to find something negative to say about the film, it would be that the beginning is very shocking, but then the next 15 or 20 minutes may seem a little slow. However, this is because the story is trying to take shape and is not simply looking for gore for the sake of it or trying to be a story with easy scares. In fact, I don't think the film itself is terrifying or scary, but it does have some pretty gruesome moments, especially with these creatures that they created with practical special effects. If I had to give it a score, I would say it's an 8 out of 10. The truth is that it's quite good and surprising.
I might be crazy but I had wished to experience a quiet place. I could remember watching this movie in 2021 at my home town with my cousin.
The adrenaline that courses through my veins each time I see those giant ugly hunting creatures, sometimes I end up clapping my hands or even speaking to the tv like I'm directly speaking to the characters. Yeah, you will literally laugh at me in that state. Especially if I see the creatures coming so fast about to eat my favourite character.
Hi, lovies. Welcome to another edition of heart pounding series and this movie is no other but a “A Quiet Place”
I watched this movie with no reviews and expectations but I ended up holding my chest before the movie finished. I wished there will be more episodes especially when the solution was found to kill all the f*cking creatures. You could say the same as me when you eventually watch this movie.
A family of four struggle for survival after they get invaded by blinded creatures who get attracted by noise. It gets more serious when all their pathways are lined up by sands in order not to mistakenly step on dry leaves. Their communication is based on signs and they survived through that means until I had my first heartbreak, the last boy dying. They were all walking home in a single file when the last born tone on his cartoon, nobody saw him holding it and it made noise, it was already too late. These creatures are already close. They are too fast for my liking, in the space of seconds.
If they hear you, they hunt you. Emily Blunt is a strong woman, after she had lost her husband in the hands of the creatures. She's about to give birth to her baby alone. How will she do it? What if the creature hears the cry of the baby? Will she ever survive?
Find out more on how Emily survives with her three kids and the new born coming.
A quiet place is that movie that will hold you at a pause with your heart beating so fast. As a fan of horror movies I can't just compare, it almost gives the vibe of a horror and more mysterious. You can't guess what might happen next, who will be eaten next? Who will survive the ruthless scheme of survival?
If you must survive, you must not make any sound. Not even a whisper. They are too fast to hear you.
The most heartbreaking scene was when Emily Blunt made a sound in her house, she was trying to find the whereabouts of her kids looking through the camera. One of the creatures was alone in the house. She slowly tiptoes down to her late husband's research room to hide but as she climbs down the ladder she steps on a nail and she tries so hard to suppress herself from screaming so hard even though the nail was buried into her foot.
There isn't any means to kill the creature except through one means. Find out more for yourself.
Recently, I found a Facebook post about a scene with Rihanna as "Bubble" in a movie I'd never actually heard of. Interestingly, aside from seeing that this was the famous singer, I couldn't help but notice that it had wonderful CGI that I really liked, and yes, it's filled with a great combination of special effects that make it very visually pleasing.
Valerian is a film starring Dane DeHaan (Valerian) and Cara Delevingne (Laureline) that tells the story of two lovers in the distant future. They work for the Space Federation, which is made up of several species (including humans), and after a mission, they discover a few shady things they must resolve.
From the very beginning, I thoroughly enjoyed what the film offered. Cara Delevingne's performance is truly enjoyable, as she displays great seriousness in her character and beautifully shows her evolution. From the very beginning, these main characters display a palpable relationship that grows stronger and stronger.
With some references to some science fiction classics, "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" had an accurate vision of a futuristic city and the potential problems that can arise there, however, I must clarify that I didn't think everything was perfect.
In some ways, it reminded me of the movie Avatar, but this was only in the quality of the special effects. However, I don't think it's that perfect, because it touches on many themes very quickly and forcedly. On the one hand, it started with a good introduction to the endless possibilities it had to offer, and on the other, many things were senselessly rushed.
One of the things I found most rushed was Rihanna's participation. I'm aware that the appearance of certain characters is more for advertising and to connect with different audiences. However, the cool way they portrayed Bubble didn't deserve to be removed from the screen, much less in the absurd way they did.
Despite everything I've expressed in this post, I want to admit that I did enjoy the film, and I don't think I wasted my time doing so. I should add that it's truly good at what it seeks to do. Despite the fact that there was one peculiar character among them who didn't have an ending or character development, even in his limited appearance, he was very suspenseful, and I expected to see him again, but that wasn't the case, despite the signs he'd given.
I share the critics' opinion that this film had several gaps in the story. If they had been able to make better use of what they had, I think they would have been able to present a more meticulous product, but for that they needed more time, which they didn't want to add. I don't know what caused future projects for this film to be canceled, but I assume there were important reasons. If you want to take advantage of this film, you can find it on sites like Prime Video. If you want to share your opinions and ideas, I'm willing to read them. Thank you.
Si quieres compartir tu opinión e ideas, estoy dispuesta a leerte, Gracias.

Dr Rowan Fielding (Alexandra Daddario) is a neurosurgeon in San Francisco. When her adoptive mother's cancer returns, they talk again about Rowan's biological parents. The adoption agency mentioned by her adoptive mother did not exist at the time of her adoption. So Rowan decides to search through her mother's documents to find clues.
Rowan is very talented in her profession, but she also feels she has an ability she cannot control, which can cause fatal injuries to anyone who angers her. She therefore wants to meet her biological family to better understand what is happening to her and, perhaps, learn to control it.
Her research takes her to New Orleans, where a photograph reveals that the house pictured belongs to the Mayfair family, rumoured to be witches.
The first Mayfair witch lived in the Middle Ages. She made a kind of pact to help and protect herself, but this pact came at a price, which subsequent generations are still paying today.
Is this protection and help worth the price?
My opinion and useful information /Mon avis et petites infos :
The Mayfair house seen in the series belonged to Anne Rice at the time of the publication of The Witching Hour (volume 2 of the Witch series) and the following volume, and this house is located at 1239 First Street (New Orleans).
Anne Rice was born in New Orleans on 4 October 1941 and died in California on 11 December 2021, aged 80, following a stroke. She is buried in the family vault at the New Orleans cemetery, possibly the one seen in the series.
In this series, we move from one era to another. While for some eras, such as the Middle Ages, this is quite obvious, for others it is less so.
I can't say whether I liked it or not, although I did appreciate the originality and complexity of the script and the story.

The other actors are less familiar to me and/or played supporting roles.
Pour ce qui est du casting :
