Yep, just as you read. The Gantz series completely disappointed me. Greetings, my dear Otakus of #AnimeRealm, how are you today? My week has started well, although I'm not in the mood; I'm lacking energy and desire to get things done. So here I go. One day at a time, watching good series and movies on hold, desperately waiting to see the premiere of Kimetsu No Yaiba.

I was looking forward to watching something good, and I decided to remember old times, but good times with Gantz, and what do you think? Watching the first chapter and the others I realized that I had never seen it since it came out and I was sure I had.

Well, no, I watched it 21 years later and was too disappointed. If I waited so long to see it, it was because my suspicions were right: it turned out to be nothing more and nothing less than a nonsense series loaded with Gore and a lot of porn.

The truth is that I dislike anime stories where everything makes no sense and the author doesn't even bother to explain what's going on; he just takes you by the hand through 26 episodes that take forever with quite ridiculous characters as villains, so that no one survives at the end.

If they are supposed to have died in the real world, but in this dimension with Gantz, they have the chance to revive their old life, why make them go through everything if technically and officially no winner is allowed, even if a year goes by in that game?

For me, Gantz as a character, he turned out to be a demon who boasts of making bad people suffer or people who did something bad in their lives and died an abrupt, unexpected, sudden, and horrible death.

I remember when I was a teenager, I half saw some scenes at almost midnight,t and to me they were horrifying because of the explicitness of the deaths they show in them. This is no longer Gore but being purposely grotesque. But, even though much of the series was like that, it didn't bother me as much as other aspects.

What stressed me the most was the time they took to make a decision and act. Every one of the characters (if these aliens were supposed to be super fast), everything, by logic, should be fast too, right? both their deaths and their time to react to such a situation.

But no, here in this aspect, the author wanted to apply something like Knights of the Zodiac, where the fights took forever and the blows were never carried out in their entirety, but only after 5 episodes. The truth is that I got exasperated several times between the protagonist's monologue and his slow way of reacting to finally die horribly.

In the end, my suspicions turned out to be true; the series is nothing more than Grotesque Gore with a pornographic touch. The rest makes no sense at all, not the plot, not the characters, nothing. Everything is empty. For me, it turned out to be as bad as Mirai Nikki, but at least that series did make some sense with its dailies, and it had potential.

Gantz, unfortunately, didn't. It started badly, was pointless, and ended worse and pointless, literally speaking. For me, it goes to the trunk of oblivion. It is a series that I will never watch again in my life. Because of the great disappointment it generated in m,e and just because many consider it a classic, I will assign it:

I just finished watching Fargo (the 1996 film) for the first time, and the first thing that crossed my mind was how retroactively most of the movies and TV shows I've seen in my life have been inspired by it. It's quite ironic considering I've always considered myself a fan of the series of the same name.

And under the direction and script of the Coen brothers (yes, the same people behind The Big Lebowski and No Country for Old Men), Fargo is one of the most solid audiovisual pieces I've seen in a long time, a perfect modernization of the western as a genre, simple, yet substantial. For those familiar with the FX series (which, by the way, takes place in the same building), several of its most iconic elements: the dark comedy, the plot built around a violent and stupid crime, the absurdity, the mesmerizing dialogue, as well as the ability to create beauty in a rural American town where it seems like nothing ever happens, until it does.

What can I say about it? It's characterized by an impeccable script, executed by several actors giving some of the best performances of their respective careers (Honorable mention to Steve Buscemi, who always excels in dramatic roles). The music, the sustained shots of the white Minnesota landscape.

Every element of Fargo comes together to provide a timeless experience, and, without wasting time on pretentious conversations, tells us more about the human condition than many other works that pretend to be more complex.

I'm not bothered by the idea of having waited so long to see this film for the first time, given the fact that it left me with an indescribable desire to continue immersing myself in its universe. So I consider this an ideal time to revisit Noah Hawley's brilliant series, a project that nicely balances the idea of being a spin-off or sequel with a tribute.

I could spend hours looking for the fifth leg of the cat, criticizing small details of the narrative like the fact that everything happens very conveniently to Frances McDormand's character, but the simple truth is that there's something about Fargo's execution that makes it extremely easy to forget all this and simply get carried away by the story unfolding before our eyes.

Is it perfect? The answer to this question is entirely subjective; in my case, I couldn't find anything that could knock it off the pedestal I immediately placed it on.

Sweat is a dramatic film made in Poland that shows us the life of a fictional fitness motivational speaker named Sylwia Zając, played by Magdalena Koleśnik. Sylwia is famous on social media. She has hundreds of thousands of followers who respond to her stories, view her posts and attend the events she holds in public spaces such as shopping malls, parks and squares. As a fitness motivator, Sylwia shares through her networks not only her exercise routines, but also her healthy habits, her diet and always sends videos and messages of good vibes so that those who see her are encouraged to try a healthier lifestyle and more physical activity. Her fans and followers support her and come to her calls, some even manage to thank her in person for what she does and have a very high opinion and concept of this influencer who seems to have it all: she is young, beautiful, cheerful, famous, leads a healthy lifestyle and is about to sign a contract with a TV channel for a morning show, what more can you ask from life? But, what her followers don't know is that, deep down, despite all her success and all that goodness, Sylwia feels lonely and empty, because when the screen turns off, when the Instagram story ends and she has to go home, she feels that her life lacks meaning because she doesn't have someone to share with who she truly is underneath all those workout routines, forced smiles and that image she projects in which it seems like every day is a parade of good things.

Cuenta con cientos de miles de seguidores que responden a sus historias, ven sus publicaciones y acuden a los eventos que realiza en espacios públicos como centros comerciales, parques y plazas. Como es motivadora de fitness, Sylwia comparte a través de sus redes no solamente sus rutinas de ejercicios, sino también sus hábitos saludables, su dieta y envía siempre videos y mensajes de buena onda para que quienes la ven se animen a probar un estilo de vida más saludable y con más actividad física. Sus fans y seguidoras la apoyan y acuden a sus convocatorias, algunas incluso logran agradecerle en persona por lo que ella hace y tienen una opinión y un concepto muy elevado de esta influencer que parece tenerlo todo: es joven, hermosa, alegre, famosa, lleva una vida saludable y está a punto de firmar un contrato con un canal de televisión para un programa matutino, ¿qué más se le puede pedir a la vida? Pero, lo que sus seguidores no saben es que, en el fondo, a pesar de todo su éxito y todas esas bondades, Sylwia se siente sola y vacía, pues cuando la pantalla se apaga, cuando la historia de Instagram finaliza y ella debe volver a casa, siente que su vida carece de significado porque no tiene alguien con quien compartir quién ella verdaderamente es debajo de todas esas rutinas de ejercicios, sonrisas forzadas y esa imagen que proyecta en la que parece que todos los días son un desfile de cosas buenas.

We all know that influencers are like any other celebrity: they show their audience a personality that doesn't always match their reality. And that's normal. Social networks are spaces governed by appearance and to stay on these platforms you have to be better than the rest: more cheerful, more beautiful, more dynamic, funnier... in other words, continue to feed in the public's imagination, the fantasy of someone who's always happy, who always makes people laugh, who always looks perfect.

Todos sabemos que los influencers son como cualquier otra celebridad: muestran a su público una personalidad que no siempre coincide con su realidad. Y es normal. Las redes sociales son espacios regidos por la apariencia y para mantenerse en estas plataformas hay que ser mejores que el resto: más alegres, más hermosos, más dinámicos, más graciosos... es decir, seguir alimentando en la imaginación del público, la fantasía de alguien que siempre está feliz, que siempre hace reír, que siempre luce perfecto.

Certainly we can mention some examples of people who are famous on social networks and who don't necessarily match that description, but most of them do; and although some want or seek to show themselves more authentic, more real, the truth is that what is shown in their profiles is nothing more than a partial version of themselves, which is just another way of saying that they are masks, characters, illusions. That behind those profiles there are human beings with vices, fears, traumas and insecurities like the ones we all have, is no secret. In that sense, Sweat has not discovered anything new. But what Magnus von Horn has achieved with his script and direction is to put the spotlight behind the screen and draw attention to how - many times - these celebrities have built their own golden cage, as they have locked themselves in a place where they can't be themselves - not quite - and where wanting to show themselves as a normal person seems to be condemned. Sylwia wants to meet someone, to fall in love, to form a life, she wants to look for that intimacy that only company and love can give her, but it seems that those who know her take her for someone more superficial and empty, as if because she is dedicated to promoting an idea supported by her image she doesn't have the right to have a deeper personality. In other words, the men she meets see her as a woman to sleep with and nothing more. On the other hand, her family and friends, proud that she's famous, see her as an empowered, strong and successful woman, but Sylwia is much more.

Ciertamente se pueden mencionar algunos ejemplos de personas que son famosos en las redes sociales y que no necesariamente coinciden con esa descripción, pero la mayoría sí; y aunque algunos quieran o busquen mostrarse más auténticos, más reales, lo cierto es que lo mostrado en sus perfiles no es más que una versión parcial de sí mismos, lo que no es más que otra forma de decir que son máscaras, personajes, ilusiones. Que detrás de esos perfiles existan seres humanos con vicios, miedos, traumas e inseguridades como las que tenemos todos, no es ningún secreto. En ese sentido, Sweat no ha descubierto nada nuevo. Pero lo que Magnus von Horn ha logrado con su guion y su dirección es poner los reflectores detrás de la pantalla y llamar la atención sobre cómo - muchas veces - estas celebridades se han construido su propia jaula de oro, pues se han encerrado a sí mismos en un lugar en el que no pueden ser ellos mismos - no del todo - y en el que pareciera condenarse el querer mostrarse como una persona normal. Sylwia quiere conocer a alguien, enamorarse, formar una vida, quiere buscar esa intimidad que sólo la dan la compañía y el amor, pero pareciera ser que quienes la conocen la toman por alguien más superficial y vacía, como si por dedicarse a promover una idea sustentada con su imagen no tuviera derecho a tener una personalidad más profunda. En otras palabras, los hombres que conoce la ven como una mujer con la cual acostarse y nada más. Por otra parte, sus familiares y amigos, orgullosos de que sea famosa, la ven como una mujer empoderada, fuerte y exitosa, pero Sylwia es mucho más.

Why can't someone be a world famous person and at the same time be shy? You can feel alone in the middle of the crowd, feel that you have no one even if you receive tens of thousands of likes and comments on social networks, because the truth is that later, when you turn off the screen or log out, none of those followers are there with you, so are social networks to blame for promoting a style of relationships between people that are nothing but smoke? how to get a real connection in such a world? does the famous person owe his/her audience? can the audience judge him/her as a character rather than a person?

¿Por qué no puede alguien ser una persona famosa mundialmente y a la vez ser tímida? Uno puede sentirse solo en medio de la multitud, sentir que no tiene a nadie aunque reciba decenas de miles de likes y comentarios en las redes sociales, porque la verdad es que luego, al apagar la pantalla o cerrar la sesión, ninguno de esos seguidores está allí contigo, ¿son entonces las redes sociales las culpables de promover un estilo de relaciones entre personas que no son más que humo? ¿cómo conseguir una conexión real en un mundo así? ¿el famoso se debe a su público? ¿puede este juzgarlo como personaje antes que como persona?

Sweat could not premiere at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival as planned due to the CoVid-19 pandemic; however it did manage to garner some awards and was distributed after its actual release, a year later than planned. Four years have passed since then and yet the film is tremendously relevant today. Social networks continue to be an important aspect of our reality and the power that the collective has over the individual through the possibility of cancellation, denunciation or censorship for anything that is done or said is ever greater. Influencers and celebrities are seen as a figure of power, when in reality the real power is held by the masses who elevate them as easily as they can overthrow them and even lead them to a tragic destiny. Five years before being nominated for an Oscar for his Danish film Pigen med nålenaka (The Girl with the Needle), the Swedish Magnus van Horn left us this other story, perhaps less dramatic and less shocking, but equally worthy of reflection: are social networks only a space for connection and entertainment? How to recognize the real behind layers and layers of appearances, glitter, flashes and fake smiles? How to embrace the vulnerability of the people behind the characters? Is it convenient to show oneself as one is on social networks? Is it advisable? Moreover, is it possible? This movie leaves a lot to think about, how many of you have seen it? Han pasado cuatro años desde entonces y sin embargo, la película resulta tremendamente vigente hoy día. Las redes sociales siguen siendo un aspecto importante de nuestra realidad y cada vez es mayor el poder que tiene la colectividad sobre el individuo a través de la posibilidad de cancelación, denuncia o censura por cualquier cosa que se haga o diga. Se ve a los influencers y a los famosos como una figura de poder, cuando en realidad el verdadero poder lo tienen las masas que los encumbran tan fácilmente como pueden derrocarlos e incluso llevarlos a un destino trágico. ¡Hola amigos! Hoy les traigo la reseña de la tercera temporada de la serie El juego del calamar. Un final que se hizo esperar, aunque me tomé mi tiempo para verla tranquila y aquí les dejo lo qué me pareció.

Esta nueva temporada sigue los acontecimientos directos de la temporada anterior luego de que la mitad de los jugadores se revelara y fueran asesinados por los que organizan el juego. Ahora Gi-hun se encuentra muy afectado, con culpa y sintiendo que no hay esperanzas, y todos los que lograron sobrevivir deberán enfrentarse a desafíos cada vez más peligrosos. Si quieren vivir deberán mantenerse unidos. Mientras tanto, llegan los vips y uno de los agentes se revela para salvar a uno de los participantes. Del otro lado, el ex policía sigue buscando la isla donde suceden los juegos para acabar con ellos a tiempo sin saber que hay un traidor en sus filas. 

This new season follows the direct events of the previous season after half of the players were revealed and killed by those who organize the game. Now Gi-hun is badly affected, guilt-ridden and feeling that there is no hope, and all those who managed to survive must face increasingly dangerous challenges. If they want to live, they must stick together. Meanwhile, the vips arrive and one of the agents reveals himself to save one of the participants. On the other side, the ex-cop keeps looking for the island where the games are taking place in order to finish them off in time, unaware that there is a traitor in their ranks.

Una tercera temporada que se siente más bien como la segunda temporada parte 2. No entiendo porqué las separaron si es una continuación directa de la anterior. Bueno, de todos modos fue bastante entretenida aunque no haya causado el mismo impacto que la primera temporada. Lo que sí me pasó con esta es que la sufrí mucho más porque me encariñe con varios personajes que terminaron perdiendo la vida y quizá esperaba que tuvieran un destino más feliz, pero bueno, esa fue mala mía.

A third season that feels more like the second season part 2. I don't understand why they separated them if it's a direct continuation of the previous one. Well, anyway it was quite entertaining even if it didn't make the same impact as the first season. What did happen to me with this one is that I suffered it a lot more because I got attached to several characters who ended up losing their lives and maybe I was hoping for them to have a happier fate, but well, that was bad of me.

A decir verdad, es una serie que brinda pocas oportunidades de supervivencia, o sea, si fuera lógico podrían haber sobrevivido varios al darles constantemente la posibilidad de retirarse. Lo que marca la serie es que el ser humano es muy codicioso y que mientras más dinero obtiene, más quiere ganar sin importar las consecuencias. Solo piensan en ellos mismos y sus necesidades. Demostrando la calaña de lo que están hechos, aunque no sean todos así. Por lo que fue inevitable no sentir pena por los que quisieron irse desde un principio y no pudieron hacerlo, y por las cosas que tuvieron que hacer para intentar sobrevivir. Realmente algunas escenas se me hicieron bastante crueles. 

To tell the truth, it is a series that offers few opportunities for survival, that is, if it were logical, several could have survived by constantly giving them the possibility of withdrawing. What the series shows is that human beings are very greedy and the more money they get, the more they want to earn regardless of the consequences. They only think of themselves and their needs. Demonstrating the calaña of what they are made of, although they are not all like that. So it was inevitable not to feel sorry for those who wanted to leave from the beginning and couldn't, and for the things they had to do to try to survive. Actually some scenes were quite cruel to me.

Encima estos juegos tuvieron el agregado de que varios personajes se conocían o compartían una historia en común y eso hacía fortalecer los lazos, pero al mismo tiempo uno sabe que la mayoría no va a lograrlo. Así que bueno, tuvo sus momentos, aunque haya sufrido con algunas muertes, estaba preparada para ellas. También comparto eso de que los juegos no me parecieron tan impactantes como los de la primera vez que uno no sabía qué esperar, aunque sí creo que fueron más violentos.

On top of that, these games had the added bonus that several characters knew each other or shared a common history and that made the bonds stronger, but at the same time you know that most of them are not going to make it. So well, it had its moments, even if it suffered with some deaths, I was prepared for them. I also share that the games didn't seem as shocking as the first time you didn't know what to expect, although I do think they were more violent.

También noté ciertas incongruencias y agregados para tratar de enriquecer la trama. No creo que haya tenido un mal cierre, pero me hubiera gustado algo mucho más esperanzador, algo de justicia aunque sea mínima. Hay cosas que todavía estoy intentando entender. Sobre todo el papel del ex policía obsesionado con encontrar la isla para que al final no ocurriera nada con eso. O cómo pudo escapar a tiempo y todo ese final del que no voy a hablar para evitar spoilers, pero si la vieron seguro me entienden.

I also noticed certain incongruities and additions to try to enrich the plot. I don't think it had a bad ending, but I would have liked something much more hopeful, some justice even if minimal. There are things I'm still trying to figure out. Especially the role of the ex-cop obsessed with finding the island so that nothing happened with that in the end. Or how he was able to escape in time and that whole ending that I'm not going to talk about to avoid spoilers, but if you saw it I'm sure you understand me.

Aun así, creo que tuvo el final esperado. No sé si el que se merecía, pero sí el adecuado para este tipo de serie. Fue algo agridulce, pero esto no quita que no haya disfrutado de verla. Es una serie como mucho entretenida y tuvo sus momentos brillantes.

Even so, I think it had the expected ending. I don't know if it was the one it deserved, but it was the right one for this kind of series. It was somewhat bittersweet, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy watching it. It's an entertaining series at best and it had its bright moments.

After reviewing Squid Game, someone recommended Alice in Borderland, and I quickly went to watch season 1 and 2. Let me just say that this series deserves a standing ovation.

Alice in Borderland is a 2020 series about an obsessed gamer, Arisu, who found himself in a real life game where he had to find clever ways to survive. Fortunately for him, he found himself with his friends in the game so it was a little easier for him until he had to sacrifice them to keep going.

Along the line, he met people and found new friends and kept trying so hard to find ways to end the game. He kept looking for answers and ways to leave the game and go back to reality. But each step that sent him closer to the answer got him into more danger.

In the end, he found his way home (back to the real world) after winning all the games and clearing all the cards. When he came back to the real world, he met the friends he had in the game, but he couldn’t recognize them.

After watching the movie, it felt like Squid Game was an organized version of Alice in Borderland. There’s so much chaos and a lot of unnecessary conversations in Alice in Borderland but Squid Game was straight to the point.

But I’ll definitely give it to the producers that they really did so well with this series. The editing in this movie looked so real to the extent that at a point, I forgot they were just playing a game.

They did so well with the cinematography too. I don’t know how they came up with the way players were eliminated but it was just so creative. And the way the camera angles were placed was just incredible.

Let me talk about the games. For this particular side, I’ll give it a 10/10. The games were really interesting, especially the ones that had to do with intellectual ability. I was really impressed.

I can’t talk about this series without talking about the characters. Just like Squid Game, I believe the characters in this series were purposely created to be in this series. They played their roles so well.

One thing I disliked in the movie was the unnecessary conversations. I believe that since it was about games, certain conversations were just unnecessary. And the fact that the main character was always beating about the bush anytime he had something to say was just a huge ick.

Alice in Borderland is really a great series. It’s not just entertaining but educational too. I learned a lot, with the main thing being how betrayal always comes from those we never expect. I’ll give it a 9/10.

We’ve been on a roll with movies from 2016, and I must say that I’m having the time of my life. Movies from back then were true gems. At least most of them. I think more than historical films, biography dramas may have a more profound effect on me, and I thought to spotlight one that turned my eyes to a never-ending water fountain. Sit back and relax…

LOVING (2016)

Richard Loving is a humble construction worker in a small county in Virginia. He falls in love with Mildred Jeter, a local black woman and a family friend. When Mildred gets pregnant, he decides to marry her. At the time, there were strict laws against interracial marriage in Virginia, and so the lovers drove to Washington D.C to get married. Finally married, Richard makes plans to build a house for his wife.

This dream is cut short when, soon after, the Sheriff and his deputies storm into their home to arrest the Loving family for breaking the anti-interracial marriage law, adding that their marriage license holds no water in Virginia, just before hauling them away and into prison. The lovers plead guilty to the judge and are sentenced to one year in prison. But after the judge suspends this sentence, the Loving family begins to fight back. That just maybe, there is hope for their love to win the test of legality.

Sometimes, I think about how close some of the horrible things that faced people of colour were. The 1950s and into the 1960s are way too recent in my opinion, and it is sad that this was the story of so many people in the not-too-distant past. I’d watched the documentary and was already abreast with the story of the first legal interracial couple. Not had a personal experience, but I have read stories of people from Virginia who all attest to this being a reality for them.

When it comes to the execution of this film, I have mixed feelings and contradicting opinions. For one, I’m glad that the movie chose to focus on the love story of this couple, instead of all the court proceedings. But somehow, I feel the movie would have been more compelling if the court proceedings had more light thrown in. It would have made for a more suspense-filled, nail-biting movie. But I guess we cannot have all wins, can we?

And for the casting, I strongly believe that Mildred Jeter and Richard Loving may have been compatible for the movie, but not just for themselves. It was beautiful watching them interpret a love story that is so beautiful, it stood the test of time with the worst possible odds, but something felt missing. Or maybe that’s just me.

Altogether, this movie is an easier depiction of the racism and bigotry that were predominant in that period, and even though there was a quiet, nearly emotionless ending, it still holds value as one of the most brilliant films of that year. Many people will concur with me on this legend of the seeker being among the best season movies especially to me. I have not followed those TV series a long time ago but Legend Of The Seeker is one of the TV series that genuinely caught my attention. As a child, I loved watching and enjoyed any movies with magical plots and I could say that this movie was quite enjoyable to me.

The key reason that my favorite show is Legend of the Seeker is the mix of action, magic, heroism and love. The movie revolves around an account of an ordinary man who finds himself behind destiny. He is turned into a hero who has to combat to rescue the world against a wicked ruler. The movie seems to be a trip, a dangerous trip with lots of friends on board and many surprises. This film actually taught me so much regarding life and fate.

THE PLOT

The movie is a story of a man called Richard Cypher who lives in a small village called Hartland. He is attempting to lead a peaceful life until a woman called Kahlan Amnell comes by in his life. She is escaping danger by soldiers and Richard comes to her assistance. At that point, the life of Richard is not the same.

Richard then gets acquainted with a great wizard called Zeddicus Zu zorander (Zedd as he was referred to in the film). Zedd reveals to Richard the fact that he is the Seeker of Truth which he has never heard before. This implies that he has to uncover the real and cease evil. Darken Rahl is an evil king and the Seeker is the only man who has the opportunity to beat him because he desires to rule the world and make its inhabitants his slaves. The villain in the book is Darken Rahl.

Through these forging together Richard, Kahlan and Zedd drive to go on a risky yet long journey to destroy Darken Rahl. In the process they encounter the enemy and friends and there are several episodes in the film. The three venture in enchanted sites, face and kill menacing monsters and win difficult puzzles. Richard also gets a very mighty sword named Sword of Truth that gives him powers when he is enraged and he can fight on behalf of the right.

The truth of the matter is that I love the movie because it is not a movie about fighting. Then again there is love. Richard and Kahlan in that movie love each other so much, but the painful thing is that they cannot be together because Kahlan is a Confessor. A Confessor in that movie means a woman who can make anyone lose their will just by touching them. If she ever gives in to her love, she might destroy Richard. This creates a lot of emotion in the movie and makes their relationship strong but painful.

MY REVIEW

So here is what I want to discuss in detail about my review with reference to the movie. Actually, I liked Legend of the Seeker throughout. The film is very lesson-filled, and I have learned numerous things on the themes of courage, sacrifice, love, and purpose. I will tell you some of the things I especially liked and some things which I think might be improved.

I would like to discuss the characters first of all. The plot is centred on the characters. Craig Horner, who acts as Richard Cypher, is the ultimate hero. He is courageous, modest and powerful. He did not become a hero because it was in his choice, rather he answered the call to assist others. He is not perfect and he develops because of difficulties. Kahlan Amnell, who is represented by Bridget Regan, is a very beautiful woman but powerful at the same time. Being a Confessor some people fear her, yet she has a good heart. She loves him so much and Richard is in need of her love but she holds it back in order to protect Richard. I felt so much about that sacrifice.

The wizard Zedd is highly funny and wise. He injects humor in serious times and his words are always useful. He is paternal to the team and in case he is not there things would not hold. In later episodes of the series, a different character named Cara, a Mord Sith warrior comes into the group. She was their foe in the beginning, but she transformed and turned into the most powerful and interesting characters. She is tough, brazen and very faithful.

The storyline in the movie I believe is one of the main things that makes it so awesome and entertaining. In my case, the plot is loaded with thrill. The series offers a change with each episode. One day they fight magical creature, next it is a mystery to solve, another one is running away. You will never get bored watching it.The way the story grows is very good. Richard starts as a villager, but you see him become a strong leader. Kahlan and Zedd also grow in their roles. The enemies also become more dangerous, and the challenges harder.

Like I said earlier, the movie teaches about destiny, that sometimes we are born for something bigger than ourselves. It also teaches sacrifice. Richard and Kahlan always put the lives of others above their own happiness. Their love is strong, but they refuse to be selfish. Not only that, when I was watching the movie, the movie also talks about truth and justice. Richard’s main job as the Seeker is to search for truth and fight lies. That lesson is powerful, especially in Nigeria today where there is so much dishonesty. We need more “Seekers” in our land and society.

If you are someone like me that love action, you will enjoy this movie. The sword fights are very interesting, and the use of magic makes the show even better. The special effects may not be as high as Hollywood standards, but they still look good. You will see fireballs, mind control, magical spells, and spiritual battles.

CONCLUSION

To sum up, The Legend of the Seeker is an epic and a gorgeous tale which teaches me and all people who view it about the truth, love,destiny and sacrifice. Personally, I could relate with the characters and message. Evil exists in this world and we need individuals who will be willing to take a position against that which is wrong even in circumstances when it is difficult to do so. The movie is not only entertainment to me, but it is also a tale of mission and integrity. Following the transformation of Richard who initially was nobody but became a hero, I was reminded that every one of us is great. We do not have to have a magic sword, but we can call truth, love, and boldness in the day-to-day life.

Most movie lovers that I know watch movie after a long day at work to release stress and rest, myself included.

My week started as a very busy one and to release some stress, I make sure to watch a movie during the night time. I started this series a few days ago and but by bit I’ve been able to see all the episodes of the show and today, I want to share this movie with you all. If you’re a lover of action movie, this series is surely the one for you.

This series lives into the life of a drug dealer, Tommy Egan who grew up with trauma. His mother who was and is still a coke addiction left him in the part when he was a kid and his grandmother has to raise him since then. Growing up in New York wasn’t easy for someone from his kind of background but soon enough, he makes good friends who became family through the drug and soon enough, he and his close friend James St Patrick were running the city.

This series stems from the main power series but this is more about Tommy Egan and his life after he had to flee New York when he was accused of murdering his friend James St Patrick. With nothing left for him in New York, Tommy Egan drove his car day and night on the road headed to California to start a new life. He had already called some of his buddies in the drug business over there so they were expecting him.

But his plans and life changed totally when he stopped in Chicago for a drink and that led to him deciding to stay there to see where the road leads him. His first day in Chicago, he hit it off with the lady at the bar, Gloria who gave him a warm welcome and some more. But that day didn’t end without him almost getting into a fight with Victor Flynn whose father was a drug dealer and owner almost a half of the Chicago territory.

As someone who loved challenges and moves, Tommy decided to test the waters in Chicago for a start and before he could do that, he is attacked by an old worker from way back in new York , Lilliana. However, the managed to come to a common grounds when he find out Lillian’s had a shot ton of coke in her apartment which he obviously requested to help her move. To move this coke, he had to look around, make connections and find the main men in the drug business in Chicago and that’s how he came to build connections with the Flynn family, the Serbians and the CBI ( Chicago brothers incorporated).

As you know, the drug business is a very tricky one and Tommy knew exactly which doors he should knock on and not knock on. Obviously, he got into wars with some of these groups but always managed to find his way out. But, would he get between two brothers fighting over a territory when he finally mages to have a drug of his own which could change the came for him with the help of Claudia Flynn. And how does the story end for him with this new step he is taking. Does he put his life , that of the family he just discovered, his business partners and civilians at risk? You’d have to find out!

MY THOUGHTS AND RATING

I’d rate this show a solid 10/10 because why not. Of all the power series this is actually my favorite because of the plot and the characters involved. The man character, Tommy Egan is someone who means business but always find a way to chill in the princess. His sense of humor is just top notch and I love how he and Lilliana hit it off very well right from the start.

This movie thought me about the importance of family and the lengths that people would go to just to satisfy their selfish interests. If you’re looking for a series to get hooked on, this is the one for you.
