Do you ever get up from a dream and wonder if you are really awake? This is what I first saw in inception. Still, years later, the film still plays the best way with my head. Directed by Christopher Nolan, Inception is not just a film that you watch. This is a puzzle that you try to solve while your brain tries not to explode.

The story follows Dome Cobe played by Leonardo Dicaprio. Cob is not a normal thief. He does not steal gold or cash. He steals secrets from people's minds. He does this secretly in his dreams. It feels good, right? But this is not easy. Cob and his team have to build the whole world inside a person's head and trick them to share what they are hiding.

But this time, Kob gets a new job. Instead of stealing an idea, he must plant a plant. This is called "Inception". It is super risky and almost impossible. To do this, Cob holds a team together: Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levit) that keeps things in check, the Elliot page that designs Dream Worlds, EMS (TOM Hardy) that is good in cheating people, and Yusuf (Dilip Rao) who mixes them all sleeping.

They have to put an idea so deep that the target, Robert Fisher (Sylon Murphy), thinks that this is his own view. And to do this, they have to go deep and darker in the layers of dreams. A dream inside a dream inside a dream. The deeper they go, the more dangerous it is. If they die inside these dreams, they can be trapped in a place called Limbo forever.

While all this is happening, Cob is fighting his demons. He is haunted by the memories of his wife, feces (Marion Kotilad), who pops up in dreams and messes up things. He is not real, but Cob's crime makes him feel real. This part really hit me. This shows how powerful crime and regrets can be, and how our minds sometimes implicate us in our worst memories.

One thing that I like about incenation is how it treats the audience with respect. This does not answer your. You have to pay attention. You have to think Some people hate him. I love it. This makes me feel smart and stupid at the same time. Dream rules, kicks (which awakens you), the spinning top that may or may not stop - all of this keeps guessing you.

Visuals is another thing that makes the inception special. This is a scene where Ariadne bends Paris in half. Roads bends and meets the sky. Shift gravity in the hallway. A city breaks like sand. All these effects seem so real that you forget that you are seeing special effects. Nolan used practical effects and mixes of CGI, which makes the dream world feel more reliable. Music by Hans Zimmer is perfect. This loud "brrrmmm" sound that became famous? He is a zimmer. Their score makes every scene very big. Even quiet moments feel stressful due to that music. It is like another character in the film.

I also have to talk about the end. If you have seen the inception, you know about the spinning top. Cobe awakened his small totem to check if he was awake. If it rotates forever, he is still dreaming. If it falls, it is awake. Before the film ends, we see if it falls. I still argue about this with my friends. Some people say that he is awake. Some people say that he is still dreaming. Nolan left it open with purpose. This is the right mind game. What inception finals is not only science-fi plot or dream worlds. It is about ideas. How powerful thoughts can be. How they stick and grow in our mind. How crime, love, regrets and hope can shape our reality. Cob wants to return to his children, but first he has to face his mind.

If you haven’t seen Inception, I honestly think you should. Watch it when you can give it your full attention. No texting. No bathroom breaks. Just sink into it and let your mind wander. And if you have seen it, maybe it’s time to watch it again. Who knows? You might wake up to something new.

Moving on with Andor Season 2 episodes 7 through 9, man I gotta say it's kinda a mixed bag and honestly left me feeling pretty let down compared to what we got in Season 1 but as I have mention on the past days, this Season 2 has its own moments its just that its not a solid, you really need to put the work to figure out things and have them make sense, specially with Gormn rebels. Like we all knew what was gonna happen from the jump, no real surprises there and it kinda drags on way too long before it finaly gets to the point we're all waiting for. The whole Gorman resistance thing it's as French as it gets, seriously just call the city Paris already, I mean name me one protagonist you actually give a damn about but in contrast this season make me care more about the bad guys than Cassian and Bix, couldn't find one to root for on their side. The whole resistance vibe felt forced and kinda ridiculous, like they were trying way too hard to make it dramatic but ended up just being a bit of a joke considering the entire Plaza scream what was going to happen, AGAIN!!! I mean the hole massive killing. Then there's this whole setup with the Empire wanting to mine calcite for the Death Star, which we already know about so there's zero suspense in watching it all unfold. The pacing feels off too, like they're stretching out scenes that should be tighter, making everything feel bloated when it should be lean and mean, its like they told you the ending but then they move into the details, like the rebel missions. Season one had this incredible tension where every scene mattered but here it feels like they're just filling time until they get to the inevitable massacre we all saw coming.

But hey it's not all bad and probably I'm just hammering down on the obvious things, the show still nails SOME of that gritty Star Wars atmosphere and the way it ties into the bigger universe is kinda cool if you're a hardcore fan. The Gorman massacre scenes hit hard visually even if the story around it felt a bit off, you can see the budget on screen with those practical effects and crowd scenes. The political stuff with Mon Mothma stepping up and calling out Emperor Palpatine directly that's classic Star Wars and it's done pretty well here. The tension in the Senate, the propaganda machine, the betrayal elements, it all adds some weight to the story even if it doesn't quite land with the impact it should. And the little details like the reprogramming of that security droid into K2SO, that's a nice touch that connects with Star Wars battles where men connects with tech and other Alien living things. The way they show the Empire's false flag operation on Gorman is actually pretty clever, using their own troops as casualties to justify the crackdown. Syril's character storyline from true believer to disillusioned victim has some good moments, especially when he realizes Dedra has been lying to him the whole time, they somehow did manage to make the empire story side way more interesting. But still it feels like the show is trying to do too much at once and ends up spreading itself thin across multiple storylines that don't quite connect.

What really bugs me is how the characters don't get the development they deserve, Syril for example starts off interesting but then just falls face first when he was confuse and had no idea what was going on, his relationship with Dedra turn very interesting at first specially when they had this fight ish with Syril's mother when she went visiting, I even felt a bit for her because latter on she also understood Dedra was no good for her son. The obvious remain as Syril obsession with Cassian should have been more emphasize as this driving force but when they finally meet it's just stumble by accident in a cafe that ends with him getting shot by someone else entirely, classic OF FUCK NOT YOU!!! Not Now!!! and then someone else saves Cassian. Dedra's psychological breakdown after orchestrating the massacre is there but feels rushed but I still love it because it does gives you that feeling like "Finally she is getting what she deserve". When it comes to Cassian, he is supposed to be the heart of the rebellion but this season makes him seem more like a reluctant participant who is just going through the motions, mostly a rebel who eventually wants out of it and have gotten lost, it happens many times in war that those fighting after so long can't even remember how everything started and why they still fighting, so for me it's like they're just ticking off plot points instead of letting the story breathe and grow naturally. Bix leaving Cassian at the end should be this heartbreaking moment but it feels more like a plot convenience to get her out of the way for Rogue One, as a fan who doesnt know much about lore and how this connects to other series, Bix leaving honestly made me think there was going to be a third season but its ok, also I fell Diego Luna did a fantastic job on this scene showing how devastated he is but at the same time like "I understand why you did it" its like she leaving refuel him and gave him motive to keep in the rebellion, at least thats how I see it.

So yeah overall I'm in the middle with season two, not fully disappointed but its like season one set the bar so damn high and this batch of episodes just doesn't live up to that standard. I'm not trying to say they ran out of imagination because it still feels like Star Wars but most things were very predictable and there is also a lot of character development wasted and untouch, same goes for location development like Yavin. The pacing is off, the characters feel flat and the big moments don't hit like they should when you're watching. Still if you are a casual Star Wars fan there's enough here to keep you interested, the universe building is solid and there are some cool callbacks to season one. The way they handle the transition from scattered resistance to organized rebellion has its moments even if it's not as smooth as it could be. Mon Mothma's transformation from cautious politician to rebel leader is probably the strongest character development in these episodes. The production value with the customs, locations, secret meetings and even during the massacre sequence where you really feel the chaos and brutality of the Empire's response. But honestly it feels like they are more concerned with setting up Rogue One than telling a compelling story in its own right, like they stumble with this awesome season one that was gold and now they have to tell everyone "we have to shut it down" because this other might give us more rating. I'd give these episodes a solid 7 out of 10, yes the series picks up by A LOT!! compared to the first episodes so I hope the last three are good enough for closing, sad it wont have any more seasons.

Las series televisivas de medicina son algo que me gustan ver mucho, como Chicago Med, Dr. House y en su tiempo la serie de Emergencias ahi por los 90's. Pero no me esperaba algo tan intenso como la serie de The Pitt.

Si alguna vez han visto la serie de "24" la premisa de estar cronológicamente en tiempo real, en vez de que un capítulo de la serie pasen varios días dentro del mismo capítulo, en la serie de 24 pasaba justo 40 minutos, lo que dura un capítulo normalmente menos comercial. Y en la serie de The Pitt es exactamente igual.

Toda esta primera temporada de tan solo 15 capítulos nos centraremos en un solo día, mas bien en el turno matutino del departamento de urgencias del ficticio Hospital Médico de Traumas de Pittsburgh

Empezando el dia a las 7:00 AM y ni tiempo tenemos de ir conociendo a los personajes porque como a un verdadero hospital de urgencias en todo momento van llegando en ambulancias personas a punto de morir ya sea por estar a punto de sufrir un infarto, alguien fue atropellado, porque se estaba ahogando alguien o porque uno de los pacientes llego por recibir algún balazo en un asalto sin mencionar a todo los que están en la sala de espera demasiado llena queriendo ser también atendidos.

Entonces es a través de este ir y venir al estar checando y salvando pacientes el cómo vamos conociendo a nuestros personajes, desde el jefe de la sala de urgencias y los demás médicos expertos, tanto como a los residentes y los estudiantes de medicina que están en su proceso de aprendizaje también salvando vidas.

Pero si cada capítulo representa una hora del dia y un turno dura 8 horas, entonces porque esta primera temporada tiene 15 capitulos, bueno, porque justamente a las últimas horas del turno pasan un suceso que se va construyendo desde el primer capitulo que hace que todo el personal de urgencias termine quedándose horas extra que incluso son apoyados con el turno vespertino para intentar cubrir la cantidad de pacientes en riesgo a morir para ser salvados.

En esta serie en todo momento está pasando algo que no deja que te distraigas en otra cosa, ademas la serie puede ser un poco grafica, por lo que si en otras series médicas no veíamos gran cosa del paciente enfermo, aqui podemos llegar a ver como se le ve una pierna destrozada a alguien que fue arrollado por un tren.

Pit Bull Sessions, a standout example of this duality, encapsulates both the erosion of Homicide’s original ethos and the enduring brilliance of its ensemble cast.

The episode’s main narrative centres on the gruesome death of elderly retiree Tsjark, found mauled to death by pit bulls in his Baltimore home. Detectives Pembleton and Falsone investigate, quickly homing in on Tsjark’s estranged grandson, Harry (Paul Giamatti), a 35-year-old underachiever who had been disowned by his father and forced to live with his grandfather—a relationship fraught with mutual resentment. Giamatti’s performance is masterful, distilling Harry’s emotional vacuity into a chilling portrait of a man who weaponises his own insignificance. The scene where Falsone manipulates Harry through appeals to his latent guilt over the dogs is particularly potent, a testament to the actor’s ability to convey layers of suppressed emotion. For Giamatti, then at the cusp of his breakthrough into leading roles, the part serves as a microcosm of his talent—a chance to embody not just villainy, but the hollow, almost comically ordinary nature of evil.

The Waterfront Bar segment, while uneven, briefly recaptures the show’s earlier spirit. The interplay between the detectives evokes the ensemble’s chemistry from the series’ prime. Gharty’s story, in particular, underscores Homicide’s enduring strength: its ability to weave dark comedy with harrowing reality, finding absurdity in tragedy without diminishing its gravity. Yet the inclusion of Tony—a character whose purpose remains opaque—feels gratuitous, a misstep that distracts from the scene’s emotional core.

At the end of the day, Pit Bull Sessions is a fractured but fascinating relic of Homicide’s twilight years. While the episode’s reliance on soap-operatic twists and underdeveloped subplots betrays the show’s decline, it is elevated by standout performances like Giamatti’s and fleeting moments where the series’ original vision briefly rekindles. For all its flaws, the episode remains a testament to the enduring power of its ensemble and its capacity to transcend its own creative limitations.

Creo que nunca había visot una película tan desastrosa como Bride Hard jajaja, es la nueva película de Rebel Wilson que prometía ser una mezcla explosiva entre Bridesmaids y Die Hard, pero terminó siendo un accidente. Cuando vi el póster con Wilson y el título, yo pensé que por fin vería una comedia de bodas decente, algo que me hiciera reír hasta llorar pero me equivoqué completamente, esta película es un ejemplo perfecto de cómo tomar una premisa interesante y convertirla en algo mala muy malo. En la historia Sam es una agente secreta interpretada por Wilson, quien debe lidiar con ser dama de honor en la boda de su mejor amiga mientras unos matones atacan la ceremonia y esto puede sonar genial y divertisdo en papel pero en la realidad es tan malo que parece que filmaron la peli con el presupuesto de un comercial de televisión, como yo digo el papel aguanta todo.

Lo peor es que esta cosa está dirigida por Simon West, el mismo tipo que hizo Con Air y Tomb Raider, películas que aunque no aunque no sean la tapa del frasco en el cine tienen secuencias de acción decente, pero aquí parece que todo eso se olvidó. A mí me parece que Wilson tiene un carisma natural pero ni siquiera eso pudo salvar esta peli, la pobre mujer hizo lo que pudo con lo que le dieron, imagínate que sale peleando contra unos tipos enormes usando rizadores de pelo como si fueran nunchakus, algo que es bastante ridículo. Además de Wilson aparece Anna Camp como la novia, Davine Joy Randolph, Anna Chlumsky tratando de hacer algo con un personaje que no tiene personalidad y Stephen Dorff como el malo principal que parece estar ahí solo por el pago. Las secuencias de acción son terribles y los efectos especiales parece que los hicieron con una computadora de los años noventa.

Aunque la película trata de ser graciosa los chistes son maloooss, no hay ese ritmo cómico, no hay química entre los personajes y definitivamente no hay ninguna razón para que esta cosa exista más allá de intentar hacer dinero rápido. Wilson se ve bien físicamente después de su transformación eso no se puede negar, pero su personaje está tan mal escrito que ni siquiera ella puede hacer que funcione, y cuando tienes a una actriz que es divertida naturalmente como Wilson y no es capaz de sacar una sonrisa, sabes que algo está muy mal. Los dobles de acción son tan obvios que eso si da risa, sobre todo en esas tomas lejanas donde le cubren la cara a la doble con una peluca rubia para que no se note que no es Wilson, algo que cualquier persona con ojos puede detectar o sea. Quizás la idea de agente secreta en una boda pudo haber funcionado con un mejor guión, mejor dirección y definitivamente mejor presupuesto, pero el resultado fue esta peli que parece que la hubieran hecho en un fin de semana.

Lo que más me molesta de Bride Hard es que desperdicia completamente el talento de los actores, está Divine Joy Randolph que demostró en The Holdovers que puede actuar increíblemente bien, pero aquí la reducen a hacer chistes sobre lo sexy que está, algo que es bastante fastidioso después de los primeros cinco minutos. Anna Camp, quien fue genial en Pitch Perfect aquí parece completamente perdida como si no supiera qué tipo de película está haciendo y la verdad no la culpo porque creo que ni los escritores sabían lo que estaban haciendo. El ritmo de la película es extraño, va muy rápido en algunas partes y es lento es otras yo creo que editaron las escenas al azar sin pensar en cómo fluiría la historia completa. Los malos parecen haber salido de cualquier película de acción de los ochenta, sin motivaciones claras más allá de queremos oro. La película intenta hacer comentarios sobre la amistad femenina y la importancia de estar ahí para tus amigas, pero esto parece superficial y forzado me pareció que metieron estos temas a último minuto para darle algo de profundidad emocional.

La película dura una un poco mas de hora y media pero yo sentí que pasaron tres horas porque no pasa nada interesante, solo escena tras escena de Wilson tratando de ser graciosa mientras pelea contra tipos que obviamente no saben cómo actuar en una película. Yo le doy a Bride Hard un 5/10, es una película que tiene demasiados errores, además de que no se define si es comedia, un thriller de acción, un drama sobre amistad o una parodia, me pareció más una parodia, lo cierto es que falló en todos los generos porque no se enfocó en ninguno. Los diálogos son demasiado malos están llenos de clichés y las frases que suenan como si las hubieran sacado de otras películas mejores, sin ninguna originalidad ni personalidad propia. Creo que Bride Hard es un desperdicio total del talento de Wilson y del resto de los actores y una pérdida de tiempo para cualquiera que decida verla.

I don't think I've ever seen a movie as disastrous as Bride Hard hahaha, it's Rebel Wilson's new movie that promised to be an explosive mix between Bridesmaids and Die Hard, but ended up being an accident. When I saw the poster with Wilson and the title, I thought I would finally see a decent wedding comedy, something that would make me laugh until I cried but I was completely wrong, this movie is a perfect example of how to take an interesting premise and turn it into something really bad. In the story Sam is a secret agent played by Wilson, who must deal with being a bridesmaid at her best friend's wedding while thugs attack the ceremony and this may sound cool and funny on paper but in reality it's so bad it looks like they shot the movie on a TV commercial budget, like I say paper holds everything.

What's worse is that this thing is directed by Simon West, the same guy who made Con Air and Tomb Raider, movies that even if not even if they aren't the top of the bottle in the cinema have decent action sequences, but here it looks like all that was forgotten. Although the movie tries to be funny the jokes are badoooss, there's not that comic timing, there's no chemistry between the characters and there's definitely no reason for this thing to exist beyond trying to make a quick buck. Wilson looks good physically after her transformation that can't be denied, but her character is so poorly written that even she can't make it work, and when you have an actress who is naturally funny as Wilson and she's not able to bring out a smile, you know something is very wrong. The stunt doubles are so obvious that that does get a laugh, especially in those far away shots where they cover the stuntwoman's face with a blonde wig so you can't tell it's not Wilson, something anyone with eyes can spot or be. Maybe the idea of secret agent at a wedding could have worked with a better script, better direction and definitely a better budget, but the result was this movie that looks like it was made in a weekend.

What bothers me most about Bride Hard is that it completely wastes the talent of the actors, there's Divine Joy Randolph who proved in The Holdovers that she can act amazingly well, but here she's reduced to making jokes about how hot she looks, something that's pretty annoying after the first five minutes. Anna Camp, who was great in Pitch Perfect here seems completely lost as if she doesn't know what kind of movie she's doing and I really don't blame her because I don't think even the writers knew what they were doing. The pacing of the movie is strange, it goes very fast in some parts and is slow is others I think they edited the scenes randomly without thinking about how the whole story would flow. The bad guys look like they came out of any eighties action movie, with no clear motivations beyond we want gold. The film tries to comment on female friendship and the importance of being there for your girlfriends, but this seems shallow and forced and I felt like they threw these themes in at the last minute to give it some emotional depth.

The movie is a little over an hour and a half long but I felt like three hours went by because nothing interesting happens, just scene after scene of Wilson trying to be funny while fighting guys who obviously don't know how to act in a movie. I give Bride Hard a 5/10, it's a movie that has too many mistakes, besides it's not defined if it's a comedy, an action thriller, a drama about friendship or a parody, it seemed to me more like a parody, the truth is that it failed in all the genres because it didn't focus on any of them. The dialogues are too bad they are full of clichés and the phrases that sound like they were taken from other better movies, without any originality or personality of its own. I think Bride Hard is a total waste of Wilson's and the rest of the actors' talent and a waste of time for anyone who decides to watch it.

En aquellas épocas gloriosas donde la inclusión forzada no era más que una pesadilla, Disney se atrevió a darle vida una de las sagas de libros de fantasía (infantil pero no tan infantil) más clásica de la historia: "Las crónicas de Narnia". Los actores, todos blancos y concordantes, lograron causar nostalgia en los que, tras algunos intentos de adaptación, no habían hallado una versión cinematográfica digna de la leyenda escrita de C.S Lewis. La película, estrenada por allá en 2005, tuvo una buena recepción, o al menos promedio, según lo que vi en Rottentomatoes... O al menos eso con respecto a la primera película.

Fueron tres, la anterior mejor que la siguiente, si es que se entiende mi sentido mal del humor, (😄). La primera peli de la saga la vi en DVD, ni siquiera conocía yo que era la adaptación de un libro, pero admito que me enganchó de inmediato. Tenía unos nueve años. Mi personaje favorito fue, desde el primer momento, el león parlante, con el que sufrí y lloré, porque sí, después de la tragedia de Mufasa (difícil de superar) me topé con la tragedia de Aslan. Por alguna razón, A Disney le iba muy bien creando películas donde mataban a los leones.

¿Qué tenía Disney en contra de los leones? Sí que nos hicieron sufrir esos hijos de #$%&.

Hace poco me volví a ver la saga (culpa de tiktok) y, la nostalgia regresó. Así que, decidí traer un poco de esa nostalgia a la comunidad, claro, para aquellos que, al igual que yo, disfrutaron de este clásico.

Las Crónicas de Narnia: El león, la bruja y el ropero

Ver a esa niña entrando a un mundo invernal a través de un ropero, me llevó a buscar mundos escondidos cuando tenía mis nueve años. Lo digo en serio. Imagino que los niños que se encantaron con esta primera película, hicieron lo mismo. Estuve recordando eso mientras la volví a ver; me pareció tan encantadora como la primera vez, ¡y vaya que pedazo de sountrack! A pesar de que han pasado ya 20 años, la historia de los hermanos Pevensie envejeció bien. Digo esto, porque cuando somos niños la noción es diferente, y cuando somos adultos, lo que alguna vez pudo parecer maravilloso puede terminar con ese típico: ¿Por qué me gustaba esa película?

De todas las escenas, la que más que golpeó (como dije al principio) fue la de Aslan en la mesa de piedra. Incluso ya de adulto sentí cierta nostalgia. De los hermanos, la pequeña Lucy me pareció más encantadora. A Edmund lo odié en mi niñez y luego otra vez cuando volví a ver la peli (😆). A los otros dos nunca los vi con el mismo carisma, quizás, porque no tuvieron un desarrollo igual de interesante. Y la bruja, pues... la bruja es simplemente detestable. Okay, pero la actriz (Tilda Wilton) sí que supo como lograr que la odiáramos. Reí cuando vi a James McAvoy interpretando al señor Tummus, no recordaba que, alguna vez, formó parte de la saga.

La primera entrega de la saga, al menos para mí, sigue siendo la mejor. Quizás porque intenta ser más fiel a los libros, y logra evocar la magia que intenta transmitir. Las escenas de batalla y las criaturas parlantes, me convencieron, más de lo que algunos Live Action recientes pudieron convencerme.

Las Crónicas de Narnia: El príncipe Caspian

A ver, la segunda entrega cinematográfica de esta saga, llegó para dejar atrás todo lo que conocimos en la primera película. ¿Magia? Sí, pero no tanta. ¿Criaturas parlantes? Sí, pero no tantas. Bueno, ustedes entienden. Narnia y los hermanos Pevensie no eran los mismos; esta vez, la trama se movía entre la fantasía y el realismo, enfrentados entre sí. La primera ocasión que la vi, extrañé mucho los viejos personajes, el mundo de ensueño y por supuesto, no entendí por qué todo había cambiado. Claro, pasaron un montón de años (creo que mil trescientos años 😄) y el señor Tumnus, los castores y demás estaban hechos polvo. Los enemigos son ahora los Telmarinos, conquistadores sin oficio, que van por ahí expropiando tierras y usurpando tronos como buenos socialistas, ah no, eso no iba ahí. 😂

Bromas aparte, la película es bastante épica; las batallas y las cuestiones de traiciones familiares le dan un toque bastante bueno. El final bastante melancólico, más aún cuando se revela que dos de los hermanos, ya no podrán volver a Narnia. Algo extra: fue la primera vez que vi una actuación, Ben Barnes, y como el príncipe Caspian, no me cayó muy bien.

  De interés: Con esta segunda película, Andrew Adamson cerró su trabajo con la saga. Dos películas, con resultados algo diferentes, lo llevaron a un feliz término con su propia visión de cineasta, al menos según lo que opino yo. Hizo un buen trabajo, a pesar de las notables diferencias entre ambas entregas. 

Las Crónicas de Narnia: La travesía del viajero del alba

Y finalmente, llegó Michael Apted para terminar de ponerle fin al asunto de Narnia. La tercera película ya no se siente nada igual a la primera esencia con la que me cautivó Disney. Aparte, se introdujo un nuevo personaje, que tal como se muestra en los libros, sería quien remplazara a los hermanos Pevensie (o a los dos que quedaban) de su rol protagónico. Pero, Will Poulter, el actor que llegó para el puesto, no fue de mi agrado. No lo sé, esta fue para mí la peli más floja de las tres. A pasar de que deseaba verla, mi espera fue algo decepcionante.

Y hasta lo que sé, no habrá más películas.

No todas las sagas de películas pueden mantenerse en la gloria por tanto tiempo, a menos que seas Peter Jackson y hayas creado la versión cinematográfica del señor de los anillos, 😂.

Mi refugio ante la cancelación cinematográfica de Narnia, fue albergarme en los libros de C.S Lewis. Si bien la metáfora es supuesta por las creencias cristianas del autor, he de admitir que, al menos en la primera película, Andrew Adamson supo como transmitir algo de la mente de dicho autor, además de la esencia que transmite la saga literaria.

Soon enough, I'll have all the free time in the world to watch all the anime on my to-watch list. I have a long list of anime that I compiled a long time ago. I have not really been able to watch anime as much as I wanted over the past few months. I had other priorities, and I knew if I started watching anime, I would lose focus. But now, I'm a free bird. I remember coming across an interesting reel on Instagram (my favorite go-to platform when it comes to searching for anime recommendations) about a seemingly interesting anime. The reel was only about one minute long, but it was still able to pique my interest. I checked the comment section and luckily, someone mentioned the title: Devil May Cry. 

Devil May Cry has been on my to-watch list for about one month now. Interestingly, I had the chance to use free wi-fi today, so I downloaded it. Devil May Cry is a dark fantasy anime, loaded with mystery, action and adventure. If you're the type that enjoys watching a lot of action (shootings, bombings and good fights), then this anime is for you. I will try as much as I can not to reveal spoilers in this post because I enjoyed watching this anime and I want you to enjoy it without spoilers.

As I mentioned above, Devil May Cry has just 8 episodes and that is one of the reasons why you'll enjoy watching it. The anime is set in the period where demons invaded the world. To maintain balance and peace, demon hunters have to fight demons, particularly the white rabbit, whose goal is to open the gates of hell so other demons would come into the world. You would think that the White Rabbit is a pure evil character and that he wants to destroy the human realm. However, there is more to his story. The White Rabbit reminds me of my favorite character from Naruto, Itachi. From the outside, some characters may seem like villains, but deep down, they are soft. While some care about achieving peace in their own ways, others want to create a new world where they can live freely with their loved ones. 

The White Rabbit also fits into the definition of the phrase, “Villains are made not born.” I totally enjoyed watching this anime and I think you should also give it a try. Although the characters develop too quickly, the plot is not bad at all. Generally, it is a very nice anime and I'm sure you'll enjoy watching it.

Desde hace unos meses soy fan de las novelas coreanas, se me hacen muy frescas en las historias además de que al ser cortas las puedo ver de principio a fin en muy poco tiempo.

Así que si Disfrutas los dramas coreanos y te gustan las series cortas, este post es para ti.

El día de hoy les quiero hablar de una serie coreana llamada "Esta bien no estar bien", la cual llamó mucho mi atención por los temas que aborda.

Esta bien No estar bien, es algo que muchos hemos pensado por lo menos una vez en nuestra vida, ya que el no estar bien es parte de una gama de sentimientos que existen en nuestras vidas.

La claridad u oscuridad de nuestro ser puede estar reflejada en esta serie, muchas veces no nos atrevemos siquiera a pensar que existen estos sentimientos dentro de si, en lo personal se que existen muchas tonalidades en mi interior, desde las mas claras hasta las mas oscuras.

La salud mental es algo difícil de diagnosticar, y puede llegar a ser muy frágil, tanto como el pétalo de una rosa o muy fuerte como la coraza de una tortuga.

Esta serie coreana protagonizada por Seo Ye-ji y Kin Soo-hyun trata de la vida de una pareja de hermanos, el mayor con autismo y el menor quien cuida de el, es enfermero de un hospital psiquiátrico, quienes cada año se cambian de domicilio debido a que huyen de los recuerdos del asesinato de su madre.

Conocen a una famosa escritora de cuentos infantiles quien sin saberlo ya se conocían de tiempo atrás y esta relacionada con el asesinato de su madre.

Es muy interesante que relacionen su vidas con diferentes cuentos infantiles, en realidad no se si existan pero si eran buenos.

Al final se descubre quien fue el asesino y aprenden a aceptarse, vivir juntos, ser una familia por elección.

Esta serie cuenta con 16 episodios de 60 minutos cada uno y la pueden encontrar en Netflix, las actuaciones son muy buenas.

La actuación de Oh Jung-se como Moon Sang-tae el hermano autista tiene muchos matices, puede pasar de la felicidad al llanto, el hecho de que sea autista no le resta importancia, por el contrario te deja ver que es como cualquier persona, que puede llevar su vida de una manera normal, claro con ciertas restricciones.

Espero que se den tiempo de ver este drama y les guste, es bastante interesante y lo mejor es que son pocos episodios.

I want to reiterate the good development of the story. In only 8 chapters, the adaptation invites us to get to know the characters more deeply, including Musashi, the best of all samurai, who surprisingly is afraid of bridges between mountains but not of fighting with other swordsmen and monsters, something out of all logic but that highlights the humanity of the character.

Finally and to conclude, I must emphasize that it is a decent adaptation, the animation has good elements, when there is blood, it looks like blood, not in spurts but a little realistic, the fights are very elaborate, although I must say that I did not like the last one because it was very surreal, but I understand the supernatural touch of the franchise is acceptable.

All in all, it's a series you can watch and enjoy.

En solo 8 capitulos la adaptación nos invita a conocer más profundamente a los personajes, inclusive a Musashi, el mejor de todos los samuráis, quien sorpresivamente le tiene miedo a los puentes entre montañas pero no a pelear con otros espadachines y monstruos, una cosa fuera de toda lógica pero que resalta la humanidad del personaje.

Por último y para concluir, he de destacar que es una adaptación decente, la animación goza de buenos elementos, cuando hay sangre, parece sangre, no a chorros pero si un poco realista, los combates muy elaborados, aunque debo decir que el último no me gustó mucho porque fue muy surreal, pero entiendo el toque sobrenatural de la franquicia es aceptable.

En definitiva, es una serie que puedes ver y disfrutar.
