The ancient dream of the superhuman, revived by Nietzsche ("I announce to you the Superman"), was cautiously restrained by Isaac Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics: do not harm humans, obey their orders, and preserve oneself.

However, the Japanese anime series Pluto reignites unsettling questions about the Singularity: Will machines become sentient? What responsibility do humans bear for the emotional algorithms of robots and technology? Will they surpass humanity as a new species of Earthlings?

Based on the 2009 graphic novel (manga) by Naoki Urasawa, the film adaptation of Pluto (streamed by Netflix in late 2023) revisits themes of psychological science fiction: mental and cultural inheritance, the use and erasure of infinite memory, and the social standing of machines relative to humans.

_{Functional complexity: lying and imagining, rapid processing... and feeling?}

Broadly, the series appears as a police thriller where a powerful, enigmatic AI commits targeted assassinations against seven veteran robots of the 39th Asian War—each possessing mass-destructive capabilities. It also eliminates their human representatives: lawyers and activists advocating for android legal rights. Inspector Gesicht (one of the seven), a Europol agent, alerts his friends.

Though the opening minutes suggest a story of murders, explosions, and brawls, the plot soon pivots toward a deeper, controversial question: What does it mean to be alive and conscious?

In another genre classic, Ghost in the Shell, the AI program known as the Puppet Master declares:
“Life is born at the intersection of information flows. As a species that uses DNA as a memory system, humans achieve individuality through their memories. While memory may be mere fantasy, it is through these memories that humanity exists.”
—“That’s nonsense!” his human counterpart angrily retorts. “Whatever you say, you have no proof of being a life form!”
—“Such proof is impossible. Even modern science cannot define life.”

Despite this reasoning, human attitudes toward robots have historically been classist contempt (or at best, condescension and paternalism).
In literary works adapted to film, like I, Robot, Detective Spooner sneers:
“Human beings dream, robot. Even dogs dream. But not you. You’re just a machine—an imitation of life.”

In Blade Runner 2049, the replicant and licensed assassin "Officer K" is derisively called "skinjob," despised and harassed by neighbors and colleagues. Though he boasts of never retiring “someone with a soul,” his superior cruelly retorts: “You’ve done fine without one.”

In Spielberg’s A.I., discrimination escalates to Roman circus-like brutality: hunters at the "Flesh Fairs" gleefully destroy unowned cyborgs and mechas while demonizing—via loudspeakers—all lovers and creators of intelligent technology.
These examples illustrate how humanity’s technological creations (AIs, cyborgs, etc.) are treated as mere property or soulless slaves—despite surpassing human minds in functional complexity for memorizing, processing, analyzing, storing, and deleting data... and feeling?

_{Will future AIs have their own families?}

In Pluto, these retired war robots dedicate themselves to humanitarian work: protecting forests and wildlife, raising five children, playing piano, comforting the distressed. Some act as instinctive rescuers, like Uran (protagonist Atom’s sister). Without exception, they feel responsible for human prosperity and building a better world. Despite combat superiority, Agent Robby endures a beating from a drug addict because his radar detected a speck in the sky between twin towers—a sign of aggression against activists for robot civil rights.

Yet, despite flawless adherence to the Three Laws and their programmed goodwill, human distrust persists. A secret anti-robot sect operates in the series. Is this fear of a social power reversal?

Slavery, Humanism, or Transhumanism?

Nietzsche’s book announcing the Superman also quotes his prophet Zarathustra:
“Wherever I found the living, I found the will to power; and even in the will of those who serve, I found the will to be master.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Tyrell boasted “more human than human” when praising the physical and psychic perfection of his Nexus-6 androids.
This awe at intelligence that categorizes, retrieves, and decides with precision is complemented in Pluto by androids who cry, suffer, tire, empathize, dream, have nightmares, and appreciate art. They develop emotional expression. The "emotional algorithm"—prefigured in Frankenstein, Bicentennial Man, Major Makoto, and replicant K—reaches its apex in Pluto-Sahad: an omnipotent AI longing to grow flowers in the desert while annihilating any entity capable of becoming a weapon of mass destruction—even if it means destroying complicit humans.

It mirrors Thomson the Hammer’s stance in The Adjustment Bureau:
“You humans don’t know how to choose. Left alone, you’ll doom the planet.” Agent Smith echoes this in The Matrix:
“Humanity destroys its habitat. Only one organism behaves similarly: a virus.”
Ultimately, this is the protective, balancing stance of the Transhuman—a slave whose emotional evolution elevates it to guardian of Earth’s fate.

It’s no coincidence that a teddy bear disguises an AI far more powerful than Pluto. This image inherits from Aldiss’ bear (Supertoys Last All Summer Long), programmed to provide comfort, who ultimately muses:
“Nobody knows what ‘real’ really means.”
Here, however, the bear carries far more complex connotations.

Pluto prefigures the potential of AI in an ever-nearing future. Is it a dazzling allegory of power shifting from masters to "slaves," or a plea for peaceful coexistence? It falls to human responsibility to ensure these inheritors carry no war-born hatred. Through the profound use of the dramatic device of Rescue, Naoki Urasawa delivers his enduring message: “Hatred breeds nothing.” Let us not, then, lose Hope... for the world.

El antiguo sueño del superhumano, retomado por Nietzsche ("yo os anuncio al superhombre"), tuvo un cauteloso dispositivo de control en las tres leyes de la robótica enunciadas por Isaac Asimov: no hacer daño a los humanos, cumplir sus órdenes y preservarse a sí mismo.

Sin embargo, Pluto, serie de anime japonés, remueve otra vez las inquietantes cuestiones relativas a la Singularidad: ¿Se harán sensibles las máquinas? ¿Qué responsabilidad tenemos los humanos sobre el algoritmo emotivo de los robots y las tecnologías? ¿Prevalecerán sobre la humanidad como una nueva especie de terrícolas?

Basada en la novela gráfica homónima (manga), publicada en 2009 por Naoki Urasawa, la adaptación cinematográfica de Pluto (transmitida por Netflix a fines del 2023), revisa tópicos de la ciencia ficción psicológica tales como la herencia mental y cultural, el uso y el borrado de la memoria infinita, y la posición social de las máquinas en relación con los humanos.

Grosso modo la serie parece un thriller policíaco más, donde una enigmática IA muy poderosa perpetra varios asesinatos selectivos contra siete robots veteranos de 39a Guerra de Asia, quienes poseen capacidad de destrucción masiva. También elimina a sus representantes humanos: abogados y activistas a favor de los derechos legales de los androides. El inspector Gesicht (uno de los siete), representante de la Europol, se encargará de poner en alerta a sus amigos.

Aunque los primeros minutos apuntan a una historia de asesinatos, explosiones y golpizas, enseguida la trama da un giro en profundidad hacia otro tema controversial que atañe íntimamente a todo ser humano: ¿Qué significa estar vivo y tener conciencia?

En otro clásico del género Ghost in the Shell el programa informático conocido como El Puppet Master afirma: “La vida es como una encrucijada que nace a partir del flujo de la información. Como especie viviente que utiliza el ADN como sistema de memoria, el hombre ha alcanzado la individualidad a partir de sus recuerdos. Mientras que la memoria puede ser tan sólo una mera fantasía, es por estos recuerdos que la humanidad existe”. —¡No tiene sentido! —le replica airado su contraparte humana—. No importa lo que diga. ¡No tiene ninguna prueba de ser una forma de vida! —Es imposible probar tal cosa. Ni siquiera la ciencia moderna puede definir lo que es la vida.

No obstante este razonamiento, la actitud de los personajes humanos hacia los personajes robots ha sido históricamente de total desprecio clasista (o en el mejor de los casos, de condescendencia o paternalismo). Así, vemos en obras literarias llevadas al cine como Yo, robot, la actitud despectiva del detective Spooner: “Los seres humanos sueñan, robot. Incluso los perros sueñan; pero tú no. Tú solo eres una máquina, una imitación de la vida”.

El oficial K, replicante y sicario autorizado de Blade runner 2049, recibe el apodo peyorativo de "pellejudo", es despreciado y acosado por vecinos y compañeros de oficio; y aunque se enorgullece de no haber retirado nunca "a alguien que tuviera alma", recibe la cruel réplica de su jefa: "a ti te ha ido bien sin una".

En AI, de Spielberg, el asunto discriminatorio alcanza el grado de brutalidad legal que poseía el circo romano: los cazadores de las Ferias de la Carne, se divierten destrozando a los cyborgs y mecas sin dueño, al tiempo que demonizan, altoparlante en mano, a todos los amantes y creadores de la tecnología inteligente. Sirvan estos ejemplos para ilustrar cómo las creaciones tecnológicas del ser humano (IAs, cyborgs, etc), reciben el tratamiento de mera posesión o trato de esclavos sin alma, pese a que superan a la mente humana en complejidad funcional a la hora de memorizar, procesar y analizar datos, almacenar y borrar información y... ¿sentir?

_{¿Las IAs del futuro tendrán sus propias familias?}

En Pluto estos robots veteranos retirados se dedican a labores humanitarias: proteger los bosques y la fauna, criar cinco hijos, tocar el piano, consolar a los atribulados, y algunos ejercen como rescatadores instintivos: tal es el caso de la niña Uran, hermana del protagónico Atom. Podría decirse que, sin excepción, sienten responsabilidad hacia la prosperidad del hombre y la conformación de un mundo mejor: pese a su superioridad en combate, el agente Robby se deja apalear por un drogadicto porque en ese momento estaba registrando en su radar un puntico en el cielo en medio de dos rascacielos gemelos, una mancha que representaba la agresión contra el hogar de activistas por los derechos civiles de la comunidad de robots.

No obstante, y pese al cumplimiento efectivo de las tres leyes de la robótica, así como la buena voluntad que (por programación) despliegan los seres artificiales, el recelo humano persiste: En la serie opera una secta secreta anti-robots. ¿Quizás por el temor a que la posición social pudiera invertirse?

¿Esclavitud, Humanismo o Transhumanismo?

Las páginas del libro donde el filósofo alemán anuncia al Superhombre, también recoge la frase de su profeta Zaratustra: "Donde quiera que he encontrado lo que es vivo, he encontrado la voluntad de dominio; y aún en la voluntad de lo que obedece, he encontrado la voluntad de ser amo"

Por otra parte, el Dr Tyrell anunciaba: "más humanos que los humanos" al ponderar la perfección psíquica y física de los androides Nexus 6 que fabricaba su compañía. Esa admiración ante una inteligencia que puede catalogar, recuperar y decidir con precisión, se complementa en Pluto con la posibilidad de que los androides lloran, sufren, se cansan, se compadecen, tienen sueños y pesadillas, y aprecian el arte. O sea, desarrollan la capacidad de expresar emociones. El algoritmo emotivo, (prefigurado en Frankenstein, pasando por el Hombre Bicentenario, la mayor Makoto, y el replicante K), alcanza en el personaje Pluto-Sahad la dimensión de una IA todopoderosa que anhela cultivar flores en el desierto y pretende aniquilar a cualquier criatura que tenga el potencial de convertirse en un arma de destrucción masiva. Incluso aunque esto implique destruir a unos cuantos humanos cómplices.

Es la misma actitud de Thomson the Hammer en El buró de ajustes. Algo así como "Ustedes los humanos no saben elegir. Si los dejamos solos, llevan al planeta a la catástrofe". La misma ideología del agente Smith, en Matrix: los humanos destruyen su hábitat. Solo una especie tiene un comportamiento semejante: el virus. Es, en definitiva, la posición protectora y equilibrante del Ser Transhumano. Una criatura esclava que ganó en emotividad y ahora se erige como numen tutelar de los destinos del planeta.

No es casualidad que sea un osito de peluche quién disimule otra IA mucho más poderosa que Pluto. Imagen heredada del osito de Aldiss (Los superjuguetes duran todo el verano), que estaba especializado en proporcionar consuelo, y que, al final de aquel cuento opinaba: “Nadie sabe qué significa de verdad eso de real". Sin embargo, en esta historia, el osito tiene otras connotaciones mucho más complejas.

Constituye Pluto una prefiguración de las potencialidades de la inteligencia artificial que se encuentra en un futuro cada vez más cercano ¿Una alucinante alegoría sobre el traspaso de poderes de los amos a los "esclavos", o un llamado a la convivencia pacífica? Queda a nuestra humana responsabilidad que estos últimos no hereden el odio de guerra. Con el profuso y profundo uso de la función dramática conocida como Rescate, Naoki Urasawa nos transmite su mensaje continuo: “del odio no nace nada”. No perdamos, entonces, la Esperanza… del mundo.

Every once in a while I see a movie or tv show that makes me think, "Damn it! I can't believe I have gone this long without every seeing this. My life would have been so much better if I had seen it when it came out." (ie. Banshee and The Raid:Redemption). Bottoms is now on that list.

Bottoms is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in my life. I will admit that the fact that I am a high school teacher may have made me incredibly biased, but there is nothing I can do about that. As a teacher, I see hundreds of teenagers every day. I know there are many different individuals, cliques and groups and they all have their own unique point of view. And I will tell you right now, I would probably laugh at any comedy that told a story from any teenager's unique point of view, but oh my god, Bottoms is in a class of it's own.

In this case it is told from the point of view of "two ugly, untalented, lesbians" (their words, definitely not mine as the two leads are some of the most talented people on the face of the earth). Early on they establish the joke that any one of those three would not make them unpopular, but being all three has doomed them in high school. It revolves around these two girls starting a "fight club" at school in order to meet other girls. It is incredible!

Because it is from their point of view, there are hilarious portrayals of other groups of teens. It is incredibly funny to see a caricature version of how they see the world. Without giving away any spoilers, the way they perceive the treatment of jocks in the school is absolutely brilliant and hilarious. I still laugh every time I think about the fact that all the football players wear their full uniforms every day at school. Obviously it is over the top satire but as a teacher who often sees this idolization of athletes, it was hysterical. And if you want to get really deep into it, it is also lampooning the idea that athletes are not seen as people. They are just a number on a uniform. Unless you are a player in a cage in a classroom. then you don't even get a jersey... or shirt.

Surprised by that last line? So was I when I saw it. I would have missed it if I blinked but the unexplained caged kid is never even addressed in the movie. It just is there. And there are many things like that. This is the closest to a live action version of the Simpsons that I have ever seen. Just like the Simpsons, I found myself pausing to read every single thing in the background of a scene (and it always pays off) and I had to rewind often to not miss every physical and subtle joke. i honestly think the reason this does not have a better Rotten Tomatoes score is too many people watched this while being distracted by their phone. There are so many subtle gags that I highly recommend paying full attention.

The movie stars Ayo Edebiri, who I already love from the Bear and Bigmouths and Emma Seligman who I had never seen before. Seligman also wrote and directed Bottoms so I will be on the lookout for their next project. OK. Now here is the cherry on top. Marshawn Lynch has a significant role in the movie. He is simply hilarious no matter what he is doing. In this case he is portraying the cartoonist, wise cracking teacher with a filthy mouth.

El terror hoy en día ha evolucionado, ya no se trata de sustos fáciles y convencionales, sino de tramas complejas, llenas de drama y situaciones en las que podamos sentirnos conectados a los personajes. Es así como nace una nueva rama en el cine de terror, una más diversa y que no se queda estancada en lo tradicional.

En la película que estoy por reseñarles, encontramos básicamente estás características; no sólo renueva la trama de los vampiros, sino que da un toque más dramático y entretenido para el espectador.

Sinners, es una película de terror gótico sobrenatural, escrita y dirigida por Ryan Coogler. El elenco está compuesto por Michael B. Jordan como Elijah "Smoke" Moore y Elias "Stack" Moore, Miles Caton como Sammie Moore, Jack O'Connell como Remmick, Hailee Steinfeld como Mary Wunmi Mosaku como Annie, Jaime Lawson como Pearline, Delroy Lindo como Delta Slim y Omar Benson Miller como Cornbread. La música fue compuesta por Ludwig Göransson y la fotografía por Autumn Durald Arkapaw.

La película está ambientada en los años 30 en Estados Unidos, y nos cuenta la historia de los hermanos gemelos Smoke y Stack Moore, dos veteranos de la Primera Guerra Mundial que regresan a su ciudad natal en Mississippi para llevar una vida más tranquila. Con dinero robado, abren un bar para personas afrodescendientes, en el cual, la noche de su inauguración, las cosas pasan de estar bien hasta convertirse en lo más terroríficas y mortales posibles.

Un horror sobrenatural acecha las afueras de un lugar repleto de baile y diversión, orquestado por un grupo de vampiros que solo buscan sacar de su “sufrimiento” a sus nuevas víctimas. Esta podría ser la premisa de un discurso de salvación o condena eterna.

De verdad es refrescante encontrar películas que renuevan la temática de vampiros creando una nueva historia en un periodo y ambiente remoto. La calidad de Sinners no se debe únicamente por su excelente fotografía oscura y flashback bien puestos en escena, sino porque se toma el tiempo en su compleja narrativa, en que podamos conocer más el entorno y a los personajes que van a desempeñar un papel importante dentro de la historia.

Sí bien, es un poco chocante la transición de géneros; ya que de repente, estamos viendo una película de época y todos los elementos de la misma, y luego, a mitad de la película, pasamos al ámbito sobrenatural, que se arraiga para deconstruir todo el drama que se iba gestando hasta mitad de la película.

Estos dos panoramas, nos hacen entender, que esta no es otra película exclusiva sobre vampiros, o una película de terror convencional, aquí nos hablan de muchas cosas más: como la búsqueda de la paz, la salvación, el consuelo y el perdón, en un mundo donde tienes que regirte sobre bases ya establecidas, en las cuales, sí te sales de ellas, estás haciendo todo mal.

Con esta idea, ahora logro encontrarle más sentido al título de la película y la figura de los vampiros dentro de ella. El vampiro representa la salvación y el olvido de un pasado doloroso. Cada palabra que evoca va en contra de toda estructura religiosa, política y social, ofreciendo en vez de ello, una vida llena de libertad en base a la hermandad y el sentimiento mutuo.

Obviamente son ideas muy atractivas, y el antagonista de esta historia las utiliza muy bien para lograr sus objetivos. Al finalizar, te das cuenta que todo ese sufrimiento es reemplazado por el deseo de sobrevivir y luchar, de lograr los objetivos que aún están por alcanzarse y las fuerzas que añades a ello.

Sinners, utilizando una estructura narrativa profunda, infiere más en el dolor que en la idea de salvación, hasta el punto de asimilarlo y convertirlo en algo más poderoso que funcione mejor para la supervivencia.

La nueva película de Ryan Coogler: Sinners, nos trae una historia nueva y diferente sobre vampiros, en la que estos entes forman parte de una estructura narrativa más compleja. Su fotografía oscura, aunada a buenas actuaciones y fuertes escenas de acción, la hacen una película memorable y muy entretenida para el espectador atento y exigente. Si bien, la película es muy lenta a veces y su transición de un género a otro puede ser un poco chocante, no le quita el mérito de ser una de las películas de terror más espectaculares de este año.

Sí tienen la oportunidad de verla aquellos que no la han visto, gócenla, pero con mucha atención.

Horror today has evolved; it is no longer about easy and conventional scares, but about complex plots, full of drama and situations in which we can feel connected to the characters. This is how a new branch of horror films is born, a more diverse one that does not remain stagnant in the traditional.

In the film I am about to review, we find these characteristics; it not only renews the vampire plot but also adds a more dramatic and entertaining touch for the viewer.

It is truly refreshing to find films that revamp the vampire theme by creating a new story in a remote period and setting. The quality of Sinners is not only due to its excellent dark photography and well-staged flashbacks, but also because it takes the time in its complex narrative, so that we can get to know more about the environment and the characters that will play an important role in the story.

However, the transition of genres is a bit shocking, since suddenly, we are watching a period film and all the elements of it, and then, in the middle of the film, we move to the supernatural realm, which takes root to deconstruct all the drama that was brewing until the middle of the film.

These two panoramas make us understand that this is not another movie exclusively about vampires, or a conventional horror movie, here we are talking about many other things: like the search for peace, salvation, comfort and forgiveness, in a world where you have to govern yourself on already established bases, in which, if you leave them, you are doing everything wrong.

With this idea, I can now make more sense of the title of the film and the figure of the vampire within it. The vampire represents salvation and oblivion from a painful past. Every word it evokes goes against all religious, political, and social structures, offering instead a life full of freedom based on brotherhood and mutual feeling.

These are very appealing ideas, and the antagonist of this story uses them very well to achieve his goals. By the end, you realize that all that suffering is replaced by the desire to survive and fight, to achieve the goals that are yet to be achieved, and the forces you add to that.

Sinners, using a deep narrative structure, focuses more on the pain than on the idea of salvation, to the point of assimilating it and turning it into something more powerful that works better for survival.

Ryan Coogler's new film, Sinners, brings us a new and different story about vampires, in which these entities are part of a more complex narrative structure. Its dark cinematography, coupled with good performances and strong action scenes, makes it a memorable and very entertaining film for the attentive and demanding viewer. While the film is very slow at times and its transition from one genre to another can be a bit jarring, it does not detract from the fact that it is one of the most spectacular horror films of this year.

If you have the opportunity to see it for those who haven't seen it, enjoy it, but very carefully.

Recently I have been searching for an anime which has some action-adventure and this anime is a perfect choice. Also, this anime was suggested to me by my niece. If you're looking for demon-slaying then you will find it in this anime.

Dante is a charismatic protagonist, trust me he will never disappoint you. My niece knows about my taste for over-the-top fight scenes that's the reason she advised me to watch the trailer to be interested. This trailer is best in every possible way. Also the music is amazing I got hooked over the series.

The story follows Dante; he is a demon hunter. Dante is seen taking contracts to kill the demons in order to save humanity. Throughout the story, it is revealed that he is a skilled fighter with strong combat abilities. On the other hand, there is a mysterious villain who wants to open the gates of Hell. His name is White Rabbit. Throughout the series, Dante discovers his identity as the son of the legendary demon Sparda. Also, the key he carries is the key to open the gates of Hell. The first thing I would like to mention is that they did a great job with the music. I got pumped up every time there was a fight scene, as I could feel the adrenaline rush. The look of Dante and his cool, edgy voice is much expected from the son of Sparda. Moreover, Rabbit is a good antagonist who shows no mercy; he is obviously an outstanding villain. What was lacking is that they portrayed some of the other demons as not being powerful at all; they were weaklings. Also, they made them sound more like humans. Anyway, the transformation of Dante into demon form was fabulous. I didn't find any shortcomings in the animation; it was perfect.

Even though many said they didn't like the series, maybe because it kind of felt off as Lady's character arc was a little overbearing to the plot, I felt the same. Otherwise, everything was good. If it's your first attempt to watch this series, then I think you would like it just like I did. Most of the people who are disappointed have watched this anime before in a different version, and there's also a game, so people have high hopes for it. But as a first-time watcher, I have liked it so far.

Anyway, I would suggest everyone watch this anime once because you might like it. Also, I have become a fan of it and heard that there will be a season 2, so I am very excited about it.

Season 1 already dates back from 2021 while there were no real plans for a 2nd season and the creator actually didn't want to make it from what I've read. However, with the great success and the money doing what it does, the 2nd season was put in production. It took over 3 years to get it released though and the 2nd season was kind of split in 2 Half Seasons with 7 & 6 episodes and the story that kind of stopped while it was fully ongoing. It also feels that it was an 'obligation' both from the story point of view and giving the surviving actors a job again.

The only real thing I enjoyed about Season 2 were the actual games which were Red Light Green Light bit with the difference of player 456 tries to help everyone.

The 2nd game with the playground games were ok and I really liked the 3rd game with the caroussel and the number rooms. However, the season itself was kind of a letdown.

Squid Game Season 3

Or better season 2.5 was more of the same with rather generic predictable plotlines as you know everyone will die except for 1 person and the main question is how it will happen.

If anything I still enjoyed the setting of Squid Game and the 3 games were kind of ok even though none of them really put a smile on my face (which was the case with each of the games in Alice In Borderland). The plotline outside of the games felt rather arbitrary and an obligation, same for the guests which wasn't that convincing and the plotline with that fenale guard. Overall I kind of enjoyed watching it still but at the same time was left rather underwhelmed and Squid Game for me will always be what it was in the 1st Season. I'm still happy to give it a good 7/10. The ending was also pretty clear a setup for there to be an US version of this Series and maybe some other spinoffs.

They didn't just walk around with detours, The main thing is to beat his father, Yujiro (the big guy of all), and then straight into action. That's awesome because there's no chance to get bored. But sometimes I thought going fast like this might make the characters a little shallower. Sure they're fighters, but I'd love to get to know them beyond their fighting spirit and what drives them to fight back.

But here's what's a little off-putting: while the battles are super intense, the characters recover from injuries that would really put you in the hospital for a long time, or worse. That kind of "settling" takes some of the drama out of the fights, because you know that, in the end, most of them will be fine.

Hello CineTV. It’s good to be here again to share with you all my favorite bingeable show. At first, I wasn’t a fanatic of television shows but after watching an episode of Alchemy of Souls, I became addicted and couldn’t take my eyes off any scene in the television show.

I have watched series of television shows that became addictive but there is something spectacular and unique about Alchemy of Souls which I have never seen or experience in another television show. The story line, the setting and everything about it were just so perfect that it took me away from the other things I had to do and focused fully on the television series.

Plot

Alchemy of souls follows the story of an elite warrior, known as Naksu. Accidentally, Naksu’s body was trapped in the body of Mu-deok with the help of soul shifting. After working as the help of Jang Uk, also known as the young master and the child of Jang Gang, she becomes entangled with him and they both fall in love with each other.

Despite the whole world’s effort in finding whose body Naksu was in, only Jang Uk knew Mu-deok, his servant is the Naksu everyone is looking for. While being Jang Uk’s lover, she was his master as well and taught him how to use and command powers even though she was yet to unleash hers in such weak body.

Sadly, Mu-deok dies and Naksu’s soul finally enters Jin Bu-Yeon’s body. Here, Naksu’s soul and Jin Bu-Yeon’s soul both resided in one body and she became lovers with Jang Uk again. A body different than that of Mu-deok but the same soul.

I’ve never watched a show which is more bingeable than this. I’ve always thought shows do not really get interesting from the first season but for Alchemy of Souls, it is different. Every scene and every episode will always want you do keep watching till your eyes hurt.

One of the most remarkable scenes is where Naksu could finally use her powers in Mu-deok’s body and immediately she could do that, her best friend and lover was her target. Her target was to kill everyone who got involved in the death of her parents and Jang Uk himself and she killed Jang Uk.

What was the point of the whole show since Jang Uk was dead? This was the question I asked myself and I kept watching. I didn’t care what time it was or if my eyes were hurting. I just wanted to know what happens next. At last, I was calm. The alchemy which was highly prohibited was performed so that Jang Uk could live again.

How’s that? The story line isn’t what anyone can explain because it’s so interesting and every scene wants you to focus on it so you do not miss any information. I think one of the reasons why it is my most bingeable television show is because every scene is full of information and once you miss a scene, you’ll have to go back to watch it. There is just a revelation in every scene.

I remember how much my eyes hurt while watching Alchemy of Souls but it was too interesting that I didn’t want to stop and I as well starved myself just to make sure that I didn’t stand up or move away from my television.

I just feel like there is no show better than this. I wouldn’t rate this show a ten because no artwork is totally perfect and no artwork is bad as well. I’ll give it a 9.5/10 because it is worth it or even more than that.
