This weekend I had a lot of free time, and I spent it watching TV or using different streaming platforms. I was able to catch up on some series that released new seasons and also watch some movies I'd been meaning to see as soon as they came out. One of these movies I finally got to see was LOCKED, which I had two reasons for:

1. The casting with Bill Skarsgard, well known for, among other films, It, where he played the evil clown Pennywise; and also for the excellent lead actor Anthony Hopkins.

2. The trailer, which completely sold me on the story about a unique setting, a high-end, cutting-edge car, where a man who was about to steal it is trapped.

Este fin de semana tuve mucho tiempo libre y lo dediqué a ver televisión o las diferentes plataformas de streaming; pude estar al día con algunas series que nos entregaron nuevas temporadas y también ver algunas películas que tenía en cuenta verlas apenas salieran. Una de estas películas que por fin pude ver fue LOCKED que tenía 2 razones para verla:

1- El casting con Bill Skarsgard muy conocido entre otras películas por It, donde interpretó al malvado payaso Pennywise; y también por el excelentísimo primer actor Anthony Hopkins.

2- El tráiler, que me vendió completamente la historia sobre un escenario único, un carro de alta gamma y tecnología de punta, donde se queda encerrado un hombre que lo iba a robar.

If you saw the trailer, you'll surely understand my excitement. With that top-notch cast and an intriguing, action-packed premise, it promised to be a psychological thriller I'd remember as one of the best. However, I'm sorry to admit that the film was quite mediocre. In this post, I want to explain my assessment. It's a personal opinion, and if you liked it, that's fine. Taste is subjective, and my opinion is based on my personal tastes, not as a film critic, but only as a viewer.

If you haven't seen the film, I suggest you watch it first, and don't let this post spoil any information about it.

Si vieron el tráiler seguro entenderán mi emoción, ya que con ese elenco de alta factura y una premisa intrigante y llena de acción, prometía ser un thriller psicológicos de esos que recordaría entre las mejores. Sin embargo, me duele admitir que la película fue bastante mediocre. En este post quiero explicar mi apreciación, es una Opinión personal, y si a ti te gustó pues no hay problema, los gustos son subjetivos y mi opinión se basa en mis gustos personales, no como crítica de cine, solo como espectadora.

En caso que no hayas visto la película, te sugiero que la veas primero, y no te dejes adelantar alguna información sobre ella en este post.

Brief Synopsis: A thief named Eddie Barrish, played by Bill Skarsgard, gets into a luxury SUV packed with high-end technology. He tries to get out, but fails despite his best efforts. He then realizes it's a trap set by the car's owner, a sick old man named William, played by Anthony Hopkins, a mysterious man who, upon contacting Eddie, explains that he's sick and that he's basically doing this for fun.

That said, I want to explain in three points what I DIDN'T LIKE about the movie LOCKED.

Breve Sinopsis: Un ladrón llamado Eddie Barrish interpretado por Bill Skarsgard, sube a un auto todoterreno de lujo, con tecnología de alta gama, al tratar de salir no logra hacerlo a pesar de sus esfuerzos, y luego se da cuenta de que es una trampa, realizada por el dueño del carro, un anciano enfermo llamado William, interpretado por Anthony Hopkins, un hombre misterioso que al hacer contacto con Eddie le explica que está enfermo y que esto lo hace prácticamente para divertirse.

Dicho esto, quiero explicar en 3 puntos lo que NO ME GUSTÓ de la película LOCKED.

1- THE SCRIPT: From the moment Eddie and William begin to converse, there's a discussion about social class, lack of opportunities, unequal tax payments, etc., since Eddie is a thief living a miserable life and William is a rich man. However, from this moment on, it seemed very strange to me that the script's approach to this was rather pointless, lacking in originality or appeal.

This weak script and lack of originality was present throughout the entire film; it gave the impression that we had seen this story countless times before. I'd like to contrast this with, for example, the script of a work of art like SEVEN, where every line of dialogue contributed not only to the film's theme but also to the development of the characters, their outlook on life, with strong subthemes and philosophical reflections. In LOCKED, there's none of that; the script, the characters' personalities, the dialogue—everything was quite cliché and a real nuisance.

1- EL GUION: Desde que Eddie y William comienza a entablar conversación, se mantiene una discusión sobre clases sociales, la falta de oportunidades, pago desigual de impuestos, etc. ya que Eddie es un ladrón con una vida miserable y William es un rico loco. Sin embargo, desde este momento ya me parecía muy raro que el guion para plantear esto fue bastante fatuo, sin originalidad ni gancho.

Este guion flojo y falta de originalidad estuvo a lo largo de toda la película, daba la impresión que ya habíamos visto esta historia innumerables veces. Quisiera hacer un contraste en este punto con por ejemplo el guion de una obra de arte como SEVEN, donde cada diálogo aportaba no solo al tema de la película, sino también a la construcción de los personajes, a su forma de ver la vida con subtemas fuertes y reflexiones filosóficas. En LOCKED no hay nada de eso, el guion, la personalidad de los personajes, el diálogo, todo fue bastante cliché y un fastidio de verdad.

2- TOTALLY PREDICTABLE PLOT: As I mentioned on my cover, "The trailer was better than the movie." If you've already seen the trailer and know what the movie is about, well, that was it... There wasn't a spectacular twist; what I imagined could happen, happened. It was a real waste of a basic story and a waste of the talent of such actors.

3- CHARISMALESS CHARACTERS: The truth is that one can empathize with Eddie. He's just a thief and an irresponsible father, who doesn't make an effort, doesn't make smart decisions, he's a total disgrace. On the other hand, William is a rich man who, now that he's sick and suffered a loss that the movie tells us about later, now only has fun with a trap as expensive as that car he adapted. We really don't care if he or Eddie dies; they aren't characters with a development that makes us take or empathize more with one or the other.

2- TRAMA TOTALMENTE PREDECIBLE: Como menciono en mi portada, "Mejor estuvo el Tráiler, que la película" si ya viste el tráiler y sabes de que va la película, pues ya era eso... No hubo un giro espectacular, lo que me imaginaba que podía pasar, pasó. Fue realmente desaprovechar una historia base y desaprovechar la factura de tales actores.

3- PERSONAJES SIN CARISMA: La verdad que uno lo logra empatizar con Eddie, él es solo un ladrón y un padre irresponsable, que no se esfuerza, no toma decisiones inteligentes, es una desgracia total. Por otra parte, William es un rico que ahora que está enfermo y dado una pérdida que nos cuenta la película más adelante, ahora solo se divierte con una trampa tan costosa como ese carro que adaptó, realmente no nos importa si muere él o Eddie, no son personajes con un desarrollo que nos haga tomar o empatizar más con uno o con otro.

I think there are so many movies about a car, or anything that happens in a car, to a taxi driver, with a crazy client; there are also good movies about a unique scenario where they're locked in a coffin, in a spaceship, in a smart apartment, etc., and LOCKED simply took elements that had already been shown in so many other movies and put them together without a good script or character development, making them all just really bad.

I really DO NOT RECOMMEND this movie. I'd like to pretend I've never seen it and continue paying attention to future projects featuring Bill Skarsgard and Anthony Hopkins, which I hope and wish will be more respectable than this mediocre, disappointing, predictable, shallow, and lazy one.

Considero que hay tantas películas sobre un carro, o todo lo que pasa en un carro, a un taxista, con un cliente loco; también hay buenas películas sobre un escenario único donde se quedan encerrados en un ataúd, en una nave espacial, en un apartamento inteligente, etc. y LOCKED simplemente tomó elementos que ya habían mostrado en esas tantas películas y las juntó sin un buen guion o desarrollo de personajes, para hacerlos simplemente muy mal todo.

Realmente NO RECOMIENDO esta película, quisiera hacer que nunca la vi y seguir prestando atención a los futuros proyectos en los que veré a Bill Skarsgard y Anthony Hopkins, que espero y deseo sean más respetables que esta mediocre, decepcionante, predecible, superficial y floja.

¡Hola! Soy yo Equipodelta y vengo a recomendarte películas viejitas pero bonitas.

Todavía no supero esta película, empiezo a redactar mi experiencia y empiezo a llorar de nuevo, me dio hondo en el corazón. Es muy dulce, muy bonita al final. Así que, si quieren algo de cursilería y romanticismo, llorar un poquito, se las recomiendo.

Brendan Fraser... hay muchas películas que no he visto de él, lo conocí en George de la jungla y luego me impresionó con su atractivo en "Al Diablo con el Diablo" puedo decir que fue uno de mis amores platónicos de mi adolescencia - Corría los años 90's - Claro... en la Momia, terminó por conquistar muchos corazones más.

Escroleando las películas que él actúa, buscaba "Al Diablo con el Diablo" era la que quería ver, quería reírme un rato pues esa película me encanta, elegí por error Still Breathing que la puedes encontrar con otros nombres en español como: La chica de mis sueños o unidos por el destino, pasados los 15 minutos de la película me dije que no era la que quería ver sin embargo, podía dar un vistazo para compartirla por aquí asi que, seguí mirando y disfrutando la nueva experiencia porque no había visto nunca esta película.

Ya saben... me gustan las películas románticas viejitas... tal vez tampoco la has visto y si la viste, me cuentas tu experiencia.

Hello! It's me Equipodelta and I'm here to recommend you old but nice movies. I'm still not over this movie, I start to write my experience and I start to cry again, it hit me deep in my heart. It's very sweet, very pretty in the end. So, if you want some cheesiness and romance, cry a little bit, I recommend it. Brendan Fraser... there are many movies I haven't seen of him, I met him in George of the Jungle and then he impressed me with his attractiveness in "To the Devil with the Devil" I can say that he was one of my platonic loves of my adolescence - It was the 90's - Of course... in the Mummy, he ended up conquering many more hearts. Scanning the movies that he acts, I was looking for "Al Diablo con el Diablo" was the one I wanted to see, I wanted to laugh for a while because I love that movie, I chose by mistake Still Breathing that you can find it with other names in Spanish as: La chica de mis sueños or unidos por el destino, after 15 minutes of the movie I said to myself that it was not the one I wanted to see however, I could take a look to share it around here so, I kept watching and enjoying the new experience because I had never seen this movie before. La historia me encantó, pero vine a entender la idea ya pasados los 45 minutos pues déjenme decirles que la película dura al rededor de 1:45 minutos. Puedo decir muchas cosas a través de mi experiencia espero no extenderme mucho...

Ley de atracción...

Fletcher (Brendan Fraser) es un artista callejero, serio, de buena familia, buenos principios, es buena gente, dedica su tiempo a alegrar corazones en los hospitales o personas con alguna enfermedad con sus marionetas o tocando la trompeta al ritmo de jazz junto a su abuela Ida (Celeste Holm). Tienen una extraña superstición de que encuentran al amor de sus vidas en sueños o proyectándose con ella.

Fletcher nos vende la idea más cercana a lo que conozco como "ley de atracción" pues es tanta la energía que dedica en tener lo que desea, que se proyecta, traza planos y se guía por el poder de su intuición, que no le queda otra al universo que llevarlo a donde quiere... Pero allí un pequeño defecto en el cual me identifico bastante y por eso lloré.

El universo pudo atraer a Fletcher la mujer que estaba manifestando, pero tenía defectos; era interesada y estafadora. Él hacía collages de fracciones del rostro cuando soñaba con su chica, para saber cómo era y hasta dónde buscarla. Guiado por su intuición a través de un sueño, pensó que la chica vivía en japón y preparó su viaje, el avión hace escala en algún lugar de Estados Unidos y se da cuenta que el nombre del lugar que vio en sueños, lo tenía en frente, muy seguro de él mismo y su intuición, entró al lugar para conseguir a la chica de sus sueños.

I loved the story, but I came to understand the idea after 45 minutes because let me tell you that the movie lasts about 1:45 minutes. I can say a lot of things through my experience, I hope I don't say too much...
Law of attraction...
Fletcher (Brendan Fraser) is a street performer, serious, good family, good principles, good people, devotes his time to gladden hearts in hospitals or people with a disease with his puppets or playing the trumpet to the rhythm of jazz with his grandmother Ida (Celeste Holm). They have a strange superstition that they meet the love of their lives in dreams or by projecting themselves with her.
Fletcher sells us the idea closer to what I know as “law of attraction” because he devotes so much energy to have what he wants, that he projects himself, draws plans and is guided by the power of his intuition, that the universe has no other choice but to take him where he wants... But there is a small defect in which I identify myself quite a lot and that's why I cried.
The universe could attract to Fletcher the woman he was manifesting, but she was flawed; she was self-serving and a con artist. He would make collages of fractions of the face when he dreamed of his girl, so he would know what she looked like and how far to look for her. Guided by his intuition through a dream, he thought that the girl lived in Japan and prepared his trip, the plane stopped somewhere in the United States and he realized that the name of the place he saw in his dreams was in front of him, very sure of himself and his intuition, he entered the place to get the girl of his dreams.

Por su parte Rosalyn (Joanna Going) estafa hombres junto a un equipo en el cual valiéndose de su belleza los hace comprar cuadros costosos para luego revenderlos, luego que lo logra, se hace pasar por alguien enferma y ellos salen despavoridos. Siempre los cita en esa cafetería donde Fletcher llegó buscando la mujer de sus sueños, ella pensaba que Fletcher era su siguiente cita a estafar y en medio de la confusión, ella aplicó sus artimañas para conquistarlo sin saber que Fletcher era tan adorable que la fue conquistando sin darse cuenta. Algo como "estafador estafado" salvo que Fletcher solo tenía buenas intenciones con ella.

Rosalyn ya avanzado el tiempo hasta conocer a su familia y lo que hace se dio cuenta que era el hombre equivocado, cuando quiso dejarlo no pudo, ella se había enamorado. Fletcher sabía que ella no era tan buena persona, pero aun así la aceptó con sus defectos y apostó por el cambio de ella y que se quedaran juntos.

Parece que el universo no te dará todo tan perfecto... Tienes que seguir trabajando en ello y por ello, no es tan fácil, tal vez, por que si es fácil no lo agradecerías o no lo valorarías.

For her part Rosalyn (Joanna Going) swindles men with a team in which using her beauty she makes them buy expensive paintings and then resell them, after she succeeds, she pretends to be someone sick and they leave in panic. She always dates them in that coffee shop where Fletcher arrived looking for the woman of his dreams, she thought that Fletcher was her next date to swindle and in the middle of the confusion, she applied her wiles to conquer him without knowing that Fletcher was so adorable that he was conquering her without realizing it. Something like "con man conned" except that Fletcher had only good intentions with her.
Rosalyn and advanced the time to know his family and what he does she realized that he was the wrong man, when she wanted to leave him she could not, she had fallen in love. Fletcher knew that she was not such a good person, but still accepted her with her flaws and bet on her change and that they would stay together.
It seems that the universe won't give you everything so perfect.... You have to keep working at it and because of that, it's not that easy, maybe, because if it's easy you wouldn't appreciate it or you wouldn't value it.

Unidos por el destino...

Al principio no entendía la película, no entendía a lo que se dedicaba Rosalyn y la interacción de Fletcher con su extraña tradición supersticiosa familiar, por eso le di un 4, tal vez no sea muy justo porque el final, el final estuvo demasiado bueno, es de esas películas que parte en un punto y es algo circular, porque recorres la historia y todo se entrelaza para llegar al mismo lugar... Si, es algo confuso...

Puedo decir que la fotografía, los escenarios los vas a disfrutar mucho, la interacción de todos los personajes es hermosa, es llena de amor, ternura, familiaridad, dulzura, amé la interpretación de Ida, creo que es la abuela que todos quisiéramos tener. Con esto resumo que, Fraser y Joanna me hicieron creer en sus personajes y en la historia, sus interpretaciones estuvieron a la altura y no solo ellos, cada actor, fue impecable.

Es extraño que esta película no tuviera mucho renombre en su época, no fuera exitosa como las otras, pero creo que fue definiendo a Brendan como actor para películas románticas, dramáticas y modo comedia, una buena ensalada rusa.

¿Qué podemos aprender de esta película?

Ley de atracción, confiar en nuestra intuición, luchar por nuestros sueños, proyectarnos, enfocarnos, ser mejores personas, tener siempre fe que merecemos lo bueno, lo mejor, respetar nuestras tradiciones familiares, a pesar de todo... No dejes de creer en el amor verdadero.

Si te gustan las películas de comedia romántica y que te hagan llorar, pues te recomiendo esta, me ha encantado.

At the beginning I didn't understand the movie, I didn't understand what Rosalyn was doing and Fletcher's interaction with his strange superstitious family tradition, that's why I gave it a 4, maybe it's not very fair because the ending, the ending was too good, it's one of those movies that starts at a point and it's something circular, because you go through the story and everything is intertwined to get to the same place... Yes, it's a bit confusing...
I can say that the photography, the scenery you will enjoy a lot, the interaction of all the characters is beautiful, it is full of love, tenderness, familiarity, sweetness, I loved Ida's performance, I think she is the grandmother we all would like to have. With this I summarize that, Fraser and Joanna made me believe in their characters and in the story, their performances were up to par and not only them, every actor, was impeccable.
It's strange that this movie didn't have much renown in its time, it wasn't successful like the others, but I think it was defining Brendan as an actor for romantic movies, dramatic and comedy mode, a good Russian salad.
What can we learn from this film?
Law of attraction, trusting our intuition, fighting for our dreams, projecting ourselves, focusing, being better people, always having faith that we deserve the good, the best, respecting our family traditions, despite everything? Don't stop believing in true love.
If you like romantic comedy movies that make you cry, I recommend this one, I loved it.

Through Luffy's laughter , Robin's tears , and Ace's dreams - One Piece taught me not to give up.. To keep standing up, even when the world tells us to bow down.. So if you think this anime is only for kids or empty entertainment , try watching it with more open eyes.. Because it could be that the answers to many things in the real world... are actually in the world of fiction..

🏴‍☠️ “I'm gonna be the Pirate King!” - Monkey D. Luffy

It was a rainy Friday night. I’d had one of those long, exhausting weeks, too much thinking, too many emotions and I just wanted to lose myself in something… different.

A friend had once told me, “Watch Death Note” but I didn’t quite get it at the time. But scrolling through my watchlist, I saw the title again. This time I tried reading meaning to the title “Death note? 🤔 Does it mean a written note at the point of death? Well, I don't really know at that point. It was just my mind making assumptions 😁.

So I clicked “Play.”

Right from the first episode, I knew this wasn’t your typical anime.

The atmosphere? Dark. Tense. Mysterious. The characters? Complex and unpredictable. The questions it raised? Haunting.

Death Note is a story of a high school genius, Light Yagami, who gets a hold of a mysterious notebook that a death god (shinigami) Ryuk dropped. It is not a regular notebook but the Death Note, and there is one frightening commandment with it:

The name of the person who is written in this note will die.

Light is skeptical at the beginning. However, when he attempts to do it and finds out that the power is real, his world and mine as a watcher become totally different.

He starts murdering criminals, each at a time, thinking that he could clean the world of evil and establish a new society in which he will be the god. He introduces himself as Kira and ends up being a hero and a criminal, depending on the subject.

However, things do not work out according to the plan. The world takes notice. So does police. And that is when we encounter L- an eccentric, genius detective who goes on to become the biggest competitor of Light. It is not only a fight of the good and the evil, but also a war of mind, intellect and will.

I even supported Light even though I knew that he was wrong in what he was doing. He was composed, self-assured and smart. It was exciting to see how he schemed and gamed.

But then… I would change and start rooting L. He was weird- barefooted and sitting on chairs, munching on sweets all the time- but he was somehow so weirdly brilliant you wanted him to be the winner.

That is what made Death Note so strong.

It did not say who to cheer for. It puts you in two minds. It caused you to think. It put you to wondering:

If you had the power to kill evil people and no one could stop you… would you?

This anime is not only about a magical notebook. It is a story of good and evil, of power, justice, and the thin border of the hero and the villain.

Light thinks he is doing good, killing criminals to make the world a peaceful place. However, we later realize that he becomes proud. He begins to kill individuals that come on his path. He is a liar, a manipulator and even plays with people who are closest to him.

So… does he remain a savior? Or a mere murderer, Power-drunk?

On the one hand, L is a fighter of truth, even though he is allowed to violate a number of rules. He is not perfect as well.

And as a viewer I was always divided between them. At one point I wanted Light to win. The one after that, I was scared of what the world would be like in case he did so.

The show revolves around their psychological battle. It reminds me of chess players, of silent chess masters, reading the minds of the other, attempting to outsmart one another with holding their cards close to their chests.

There were so many scenes that I was holding my breath. Each word, each glance there was stratagem.

It was not only that their competition was exciting but also tearful. This was because they were lonely. Both brilliant. Both misunderstood. In some curious sense they were more alike than not.

When it came, as you will know when you see it, I was heartbroken. Not that somebody was dead but that something pure and intense had ended. That was one of the most touching moments that I ever experienced with anime.

I even felt chills at some point. Moments that I found myself guilty of liking the bad guy. There were the moments I burst in laughter as Ryuk could say something so dark and yet so casual. and I stopped the screen, seconds to breathe.

Death Note did not only entertain me. It was a challenge to me. It caused me to see the world in a different way.

The presence of robots in the human world will become stronger and stronger and there will come a point where they will control every activity and dominate the world. This is something that lately we have seen in each of the movie platforms and each time they take much more strength, better robots and above all a super incredible technology and really that such films leave much to talk about the way they are developed, so this time a great director bet on getting something simple in a series that so far are a few very short episodes and there to see how all this is great impact robots.

I have seen many movies of this type of science fiction and each of them has a different touch, proposal towards technological equipment, but all to the same point that the robot will do everything without the presence of human beings, for this series is known as Murderbot, we will see a robot who is willing to challenge himself by hacking your system, which leads him to take action and to present certain dislikes in several things that he has to know how to face all that situation, also see how to solve many errors of the fumes and when we realize it is a robot that has to do many things, where we wonder will this robot be able to do everything they ask?

La presencia de robot en el mundo humano será cada vez más fuerte y llegará un punto, donde ellos controlarán cada una de las actividades y dominarán al mundo. Esto es algo que últimamente hemos visto en cada una de las plataformas de películas y cada vez toman mucha más fuerza, mejores robots y sobre todo una tecnología súper increíble y de verdad que ese tipo de películas dejan mucho de que hablar por la manera como están desarrolladas, así que esta vez un gran director apostó en sacar algo sencillo en una serie que hasta los momentos van pocos episodios muy cortos y allí ver cómo todo esto de los robots es gran impacto.

He visto muchas películas de este tipo de ciencia ficción y cada una de ellas cuenta con un toque distinto, propuesta hacia los equipos tecnológico, pero todas al mismo punto de que dicho robot harán todo sin la presencia del ser humano, por esta serie que es conocida como Murderbot, veremos a un robot que está dispuesto a desafiarse el mismo hackeando su sistema, la cual lo lleva a tomar acción y a presentar ciertos disgustos en varias cosas que tiene saber cómo enfrentar toda esa situación, además ver cómo solucionar muchos errores de los humos y cuando nos damos cuenta es un robot que tiene que hacer muchas cosas, donde nos preguntamos ¿Podrá este robot ser capaz de hacer todo lo que pidan?

It is incredible the way the series was worked, as it always keeps that great technological aspect and take it all to another level, which allows it to be very nice and so each of the viewers can see another reality of such machines, so as the episodes go by you can go noticing a little desperation in knowing what can make the robot and how to have to escape from that world, since in the end they are machines and can be destroyed at any time when they begin to present failures, therefore there will also come a point of this robot may have certain reasons to also have to defend and take care of a great mission, so when we realize that it is a robot with capabilities that are to be admired and sure that many of the things they do would not be possible without this type of machines.

Es increíble la manera como fue trabajada la serie, ya que siempre mantiene ese gran aspecto tecnológico y llevar todo eso a otro nivel, la cual permite que sea muy agradable y así poder que cada uno de los espectadores puedan ver otra realidad de dicha máquinas, por eso a medida que los episodios van pasando se puede ir notando un poco de desesperación en saber que podrá hacer dicho robot y cómo tener que escapar de todo ese mundo, ya que a la final son máquina y pueden ser destruidas en cualquier momento en lo que comiencen a presentar fallas, por ende también llegará un punto de este robot podrá tener ciertas razones al tener que también defender y encargarse de una gran misión, así que cuando nos damos cuenta es un robot comuñas capacidades que son de admirar y seguro que muchas de las cosas que hacen no fueran posibles sin este tipo de máquinas.

A series that has a certain part of comedy and a good humor that allows to enjoy the whole series, and it is one of the things that you have to admire, since they go straight to the point and to be able to take all an exploration of that robot that is about to explode, covering each of the necessary points. También la presencia de grandes actores para así poder tomar el control de todos esto y en especial ese gran robot, la cual cuenta con una gran capacidad al ser las tareas, al tener que ver cosas de la realidad y poder buscarle sentido, para así avanzar, ya que si no será otra de esas máquinas controladas por otra máquina, por ende en esta serie toma una gran responsabilidad y más aún cuando se encuentra solo son tantas opciones, ya que el tiempo corre.

I had been waiting for some time for the outcome of this interesting series that had so much impact in the world. When the first season of Squid Game was aired, I did not understand why it had so much hype in social networks, the truth is that I was not attracted by what the story had to offer, however, I must confess that “pressured” by the strong hype, I decided to watch the first season. Like most people, I was immersed in this twisted story that we all know, in which greed, avarice and immorality play a fundamental role and in which the weak have no place.

Everyone should already know that in Squid Game we see a group of people trying to survive deadly games in order to obtain a great prize, with which they could pay their debts, cover illness expenses and solve their lives from the economic point of view. It is worth mentioning that these games are sponsored by an unscrupulous organization that seeks to entertain a few powerful people at the expense of the needs and weaknesses of hundreds of people desperate to obtain a monetary prize that not even working all their lives would be able to collect.

At the beginning of the second season we see how player 456, who was once the winner of the games, plots revenge against the organizers, he hates with all his being those who made him live a real hell and in that sense he has the conviction to use all available resources to end those games once and for all. Player 456 recruits some people to help him find the person in charge of finding the ideal people for the game, and so they start searching all over Seoul until they finally find the man.

But it won't be easy to put an end to a criminal organization that has unlimited resources and that watches every link that can harm them. So, after trying by force to find those who are in charge of bringing the games to life, the 456 player ends up once again involved in the games, once again he will have to participate in these nightmarish games using the same number he used in his previous participation, however, this time he is more cold-blooded and together with his wit he will try to end the games from the inside.

It is evident that those who organize the games are trying to show that human beings are evil and that, for something like money, they are capable of killing each other, betraying each other and going over anyone's head to achieve their goals, and well, honestly this is somewhat true, but player 456 along with another group of players show us that there is still hope to keep our sanity and to think about the mistakes that can be made, however, a whole bloodbath was necessary for many to come to their senses and understand that it is not worth sacrificing human integrity and our morals as human beings to get money in return.

I like that the series delves into human nature and how greed and avarice can take us to unsuspected extremes, to the point of not recognizing ourselves and our actions, but it also opens the window of sanity through the 456 player, who beyond being perfect, tries to make the best possible decisions according to the situation.

This is a well-rounded series from start to finish, well directed and produced in each of its three seasons, it offers dramatic scenes and lots of blood, but without overdoing it, in fact, I don't feel that there are elements of gore present in the series. The suspense is handled quite well and is mostly represented in the decision making of the players who are involved in terrifying circumstances. I must say that the actors did a splendid job, the expressiveness of the South Koreans is remarkable and makes the characters feel closer. I definitely recommend this series, I assure you that at least you will be entertained.
