I normally stay away from Australian series regardless of how profound the reviews are and this is a personal thing. I have a difficult time understanding the accent. Sorry for being American I guess.

This one I think I spent time on it despite having some difficulty with certain parts not fully understanding that is being said because of two reasons: There is nothing else to watch right now in my world and also, the episodes are a mere 25 minutes long.

This show has been around for a while, 2018 to be precise, but I am late to the party probably initially because it is an Australian production and I, as I mentioned before, tend to avoid those.

This series starts out with a bang though, and I appreciate the way they streamline whatever it is that they need to get across thanks to the 25 minute runtime of each episode.

I know, I know... we should be able to pay attention for a full hour now because someone, somewhere decided that this is how long series episodes need to be now. For me personally, I feel like this new quota on episode length has lead to a ton of filler and bullshit conversation that exists in the stories merely to eat up time, not to add to the stories.

While some out there might not think this is a terribly novel approach to telling a story, I enjoy the character Ray (played by Scott Ryan) and how he is a hitman/enforcer for hire, but he also has other aspects of his life that he must approach in a completely different way such as looking after his daughter and terminally-ill brother.

He cherishes normal-life things such as having an ice cream with his daughter, making her laugh and ensuring she has a quality and safe life, taking care of his dog, and enjoying normal things like having a girlfriend and normal outings with pals.

This isn't an easy double life to lead though and as time goes by, even in the mere first couple of episodes that I have seen, he really struggles to keep the two aspects of his life separate.

There is a scene really early on when he is walking with his daughter and a couple of punk kids knock her ice cream out of her hands, swear at him, and threaten him in front of her. He has to keep his cool in order to give a parental life lesson to his kid, but at the same time we know that vengeance is definitely coming for those street punks. It is very rewarding when that time comes.

Ray also has an unusual method of intimidation and getting things done because he is more of a cerebral assassin than a tough guy - although he is a tough guy as well.

Although certainly not to the level that a hitman must go through this, I think that most parents have to lead somewhat of a double life, concealing what they are really like to their children in order to help them to not have a messed up childhood and to admire the person that you want them to think you are, rather than what you really are....and Ray has to be very careful with how he handles this.

I can see how this can lead to a ton of situations that are kind of similar to what Walter White had to go through with his family and friends in Breaking Bad.

I haven't seen very many episodes of this yet, but I am already convinced that I am going to watch many more of them. This doesn't have the makings of something truly Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad epic, but I believe that it could serve its purpose, especially since each episode is really short.

Should I watch it?

I think that if you enjoy a nice mix of crime, drama, and a touch of comedy thrown in there, that you ought to at least give this one a shot. It is low-commitment viewing after all since each episode was designed to be aired initially on FX, which is a network with commercials, in just half hour.

If you aren't hooked like I am after 2 episodes it likely isn't going to happen. I see no harm in giving this one a shot.

By the way I didn't make a mistake "Inbetween" is supposed to be one word :P

Hello Hivians and CineTv community members, you won’t believe I almost missed this week contest, my inner man kept telling me “Have you done this week cinetv contest?” And I was like, there isn’t any contest yet. I know the reason why I thought so but I would keep that to myself. This week is a new week for the contest and the film I’ll be reviewing for this contest is a classic sitcom series, many people might have watch it and some other wouldn’t have but I can promise you, I’ll try my best not to include too much spoilers so you can enjoy the film if you want to give it a try.

Everybody Hates Chris.

Growing up is hard, but it's even harder when you're Chris Rock's kid. 'Everybody Hates Chris' is a hilarious and heartwarming sitcom that follows the life of Julius and his family as they navigate the ups and downs of adolescence in 1980s Brooklyn. With Chris Rock's signature humor and wit, he made show is a must-watch for anyone who's ever struggled to fit in or find their place in the world. Now instead of talking and rambling all about the film, I’ll be using the question tag to talk about it so I can avoid too many spoiler.

What you loved or hated about it.

One thing I love about the film is the narration that went underground as the film plays out. There are some part that might hard to understand but the narrative made it easy. I also love that we got to see the life lived by Chris rock in Chris, there were many funny moments too

What I hate about the film was the way Chris family treated him, I believe the only person who understood him and was on his side was his father. There were so many moments I wish I could have helped him but I can’t.

How it influenced you (and/or people around you).

Well, there were a lot of moral lesson to be learned from the film. The life of Chris is enough to learn and there are some things about the family that was pointed out which I would like to avoid in my family when I have one and there are also some things I would like to imitate, like the sibling love, sharing of chores, the communication between Chris and his dad. And many more, I try to become a better person to my siblings also.

What part of it did you find most interesting.

One part I found interesting was the part where Chris mom sometimes treat him like she wasn’t the one that gave birth to him and threat her other kids with much care and love. Giving him more work to do to the point he wanted to leave the house for them. Crazy right?

Another part was the part where the siblings just accepted whatever was going on with Chris and just watch. I guess they were scared to talk but at a point they came around too.

Any scene that still pops into your mind.

The part Chris got a girlfriend and he had to ask her to sign a contract for it to be official because he was trying to avoid trouble in the future. That episode was very funny to me and I laughed very well.

Performance of the actors/actress that left an impression.

One of my favorite character of the show was Chris, his dad Julius and his mom. At a point, I felt the mom was a bully who just bully her husband and children, yeah she was trying to train them in her own way but at a point it was too much and Julius wasn’t man enough to take control of his family.

I love how they all acted their part so well it felt like a real family, the facial expressions and everything was just so perfect.

¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de The Anime Realm! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva reseña de anime. En esta oportunidad traigo un anime del género policiaco y de thriller psicológico llamado, "Psycho Pass". Del año 2012, producido por Production IG y dirigido por Naoyoshi Shiotani y Katsuyuki Motohiro. La historia se vive en un Japón futurista, dónde a través del Sistema Sibyl, los ciudadanos son constantemente monitorizados (en pensamiento, conducta, personalidad y predicciones del sistema) en favor de lograr una armonía moral/social dónde aquellos que presenten conductas o si quiera tengan pensamientos criminales, sean reprimidos o en última instancia, fulminados. La premisa del anime no solo resulta interesante sino también inquietante, pues imaginar un futuro dónde exista un sistema que controle de tal manera a la población, no parece nada humano.

En el anime tenemos cómo protagonista a Akane Tsunemori, una joven con todas las cualidades para encontrar cualquier trabajo pues ella es un ciudadano ejemplar (su reputación es buena y no parece verse afectada por el Sistema Sibyl), sin embargo, decide unirse a la División de Investigación Criminal de la Oficina de Seguridad Pública, cómo Inspectora, siendo asignada a la Unidad 1. Allí ella deberá trabajar en conjunto con los llamados Ejecutores, un equipo conformado por antiguos Inspectores que alcanzaron un nivel alto de criminalidad en el Sistema Sibyl (por verse expuestos constantemente a casos criminales) y otros par que simplemente cumplen con los requerimientos para atrapar a otros criminales porque ellos también son, criminales. Akane parece una joven conservadora, un tanto ingenua pero realmente es alguien perspicaz e inteligente y aún más importante, tiene un motivo e interés real por la vida humana.

Hace muchos años ya que vi "Psycho Pass", cuando un momento dado me había mudado de ciudad y solo tenía un televisor y un dvd dónde ver películas y series. Un buen día un amigo mío que es amante del anime, me prestó varios animes y entre esos estaba este. Con tan solo dos temporadas y capítulos que van directo al grano (sin necesidad de relleno), se convirtió en lo que creo yo, uno de los mejores animes que he visto. El anime toca varios temas cómo la deshumanización pues resulta chocante el solo hecho de que alguien sea aprehendido solo por haberse cruzado por la mente con una idea polémica (por ejemplo, los llamados pensamientos intrusivos), restando un poco de libertad a esa divergencia que existe en los humanos. También sobre la perfección moral, cosa que vuelve a tocar el punto anterior. Resulta contradictorio, pero esa búsqueda de ser un ciudadano perfecto conlleva a presiones que eventualmente genera conflictos internos. Además, que derecho tienen los demás sobre nuestros propios pensamientos.

Pero uno de los temas más interesantes que trata el anime es sobre la corrupción; entorno, personas y demás. Durante cierto punto se nos enseña que algunos Ejecutores están allí por haber visto demasiado, por lo que Akane, siendo una persona con una racha de excelencia podría verse afectada por estar tan inmersa en su trabajo. Si miras fijamente el abismo, el abismo te devuelve la mirada. Diría Nietzsche. Es una advertencia. En todo caso, si eso sucedería ?dejaria Akane realmente de ser "alguien buena"?. El anime recuerda un poco a "Ghost in The Shell", "Akira" y por supuesto "1984" de George Orwel. Lejos de ser un Japón utópico, parece más una distopia. Recomiendo ampliamente que lo vean, pues además tienen una buena banda sonora, una bella animación y un guión muy bueno. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.

¿Cómo están el día de hoy? Yo muy bien y muy feliz de estar otra vez por aquí para contarles que, por razones de la vida, terminé viendo en casa de una amiga una película de la cual ya tenía una idea, gracias a la gran cantidad de promoción que se le hizo, pero sin duda me dejó muchas opiniones buenas y malas que quiero contar. Obviamente, hablo de Destino final: Lazos de sangre. Sin más, quiero contarles un poco de la película y, obviamente, de mi opinión.

How are you today? I'm very well and very happy to be here again to tell you that, for reasons of life, I ended up watching at a friend's house a movie of which I already had an idea, thanks to the great amount of promotion that was done, but without a doubt it left me with many good and bad opinions that I want to tell you about. Obviously, I'm talking about Final Destination: Blood Ties. Without further ado, I want to tell you a little bit about the movie and, obviously, about my opinion.

Destino Final, Lazos de Sangre nos sumerge otra vez en el perturbador mundo donde la Muerte no ofrece clemencia. Esta vez, la pesadilla comienza en un tranquilo campamento de verano, donde un grupo de amigos se reúne para celebrar sus últimas vacaciones antes de la universidad. El protagonista, Alex, vive una angustiante premonición: el viejo puente que están a punto de atravesar se colapsará, destruyendo la vida de todos. Desesperado, logra avisar a algunos de sus amigos y a otros más, sacándolos del autobús justo a tiempo para presenciar cómo el puente se desploma en un conmovedor espectáculo de acero doblado y concreto. A partir de ese momento, se da comienzo a la inevitable secuencia de eventos trágicos.

Final Destination, Blood Ties plunges us once again into the disturbing world where Death offers no mercy. This time, the nightmare begins in a quiet summer camp, where a group of friends gather to celebrate their last vacation before college. The protagonist, Alex, experiences a distressing premonition: the old bridge they are about to cross will collapse, destroying everyone's life. Desperate, he manages to warn some of his friends and others, getting them out of the bus just in time to witness the bridge collapse in a moving spectacle of bent steel and concrete. From that moment on, the inevitable sequence of tragic events begins.

The survivors of the bridge collapse begin to die continuously, in horrible and seemingly fortuitous events that, nevertheless, maintain a disturbing pattern. Death, ever creative and ruthless, uses everyday situations and insignificant details to carry out his plans. A gymnasium becomes a lethal danger, a bonfire in the woods turns into an uncontrollable fire, and even a simple bike ride can result in a deadly disaster. Tension mounts as the increasingly small and frightened group tries to unravel Death's misguided plan, anxiously searching for a way to break the cycle that traps them.

Cada fallecimiento desvanece la esperanza y la paranoia se establece entre los que sobreviven. Investigan que el secreto para subsistir podría radicar en comprender el orden de las muertes y, quizás, si se puede, actuar para interrumpir la secuencia. Sin embargo, la Muerte siempre parece adelantarse, tejiendo su telaraña mortal con exactitud ineludible. Each death dashes hope and paranoia sets in among those who survive.  They investigate that the secret to survival may lie in understanding the order of the deaths and, perhaps, if they can, acting to interrupt the sequence.  However, Death always seems to be ahead of them, weaving its deadly web with inescapable accuracy.  "Destination Ending: "Blood Ties" retains the pattern that enshrined the franchise: inventive and intense demises, coupled with the nagging perception that there is no escape.  It's a race against time in which fate is already determined, and the only question mark is who will collapse next, and in what manner.

Mi opinión

Para mí esta película es una entrega bastante aceptable y impactante de la franquicia; desde el primer momento te agarra y no te suelta, realmente te mantiene viéndola. Me gustó bastante la premisa de toda la premonición que existe, todo el suceso con el restaurante; todo esto la vuelve muy interesante y una premisa bastante única en Irlanda, lo cual le da muchos puntos positivos. Uno de los puntos positivos que me gustó es que esta película tiene un esfuerzo muy grande en la idea de que, por más que trates de escapar de la muerte, la muerte ya tiene un plan para ti, entonces realmente ni que juegues su juego podrás escapar de ella y aquí lo hemos claramente; esta fue una de las cosas que más me sorprendió.

For me this film is a pretty decent and impactful installment of the franchise; from the very first moment it grabs you and doesn't let go, it really keeps you watching it. I quite liked the premise of the whole premonition that exists, the whole event with the restaurant; it all makes it very interesting and quite a unique premise in Ireland, which gives it a lot of plus points. One of the positive points that I liked is that this movie has a very big effort in the idea that, no matter how hard you try to escape death, death already has a plan for you, so you really can't even play its game to escape it and here we have it clearly; this was one of the things that surprised me the most.

Hay un punto muy importante que tocar, que es positivo para unas personas pero negativo para otras, pero cuál es la creatividad con la que la muerte orquesta sus accidentes y las muertes que causa, los métodos para eliminar a los supervivientes, a ser ingeniosos y a veces casi que cómicos con su gran nivel de complejidad, pero terminan siendo un espectáculo visceral. Esto para algunos personajes es positivo, pero para otros no tanto; por ejemplo, para mí no fue su punto más fuerte, ya que me llegaba a estresar un poco lo rebuscadas que podían ser las muertes, quitándole un poco de realismo a la película.

There is a very important point to touch on, which is positive for some people but negative for others, but what is the creativity with which death orchestrates its accidents and the deaths it causes, the methods to eliminate the survivors, to be ingenious and sometimes almost comical with their great level of complexity, but end up being a visceral spectacle. This for some characters is positive, but for others not so much; for example, for me it was not its strongest point, as I came to stress a little how far-fetched the deaths could be, taking away a bit of realism to the film.

Si bien la estrella de la película es siempre la Muerte misma y sus elaboradas trampas, los personajes en "Lazos de Sangre" cumplen su función. No son los más profundos, claro está, pero te los crees en su desesperación. Ver cómo la paranoia los consume, cómo se culpan unos a otros y cómo intentan, inútilmente, encontrar una salida, es parte de la experiencia. Quizás no empatices con ellos a un nivel emocional profundo, pero sí sientes su terror y su frustración. Son peones en un juego mucho más grande, y esa impotencia es contagiosa.

While the star of the film is always Death himself and his elaborate traps, the characters in "Blood Ties" play their part. They're not the deepest, of course, but you believe them in their desperation. Seeing how paranoia consumes them, how they blame each other and how they try, futilely, to find a way out, is part of the experience. You may not empathize with them on a deep emotional level, but you do feel their terror and frustration. They are pawns in a much bigger game, and that helplessness is contagious.

Un toque diferente que me gustó de esta película es que hay momentos en los que realmente piensas que quizás, solo quizás, puedas romper el ciclo. Esos pequeños momentos de esperanza, por muy fugaces que sean, añaden una capa extra de intriga y, aunque la fórmula es la misma, la ejecución de las muertes y la forma en la que se conectan todos estos eventos que ya hemos visto siempre son inesperados. Realmente, para mí este fue el mejor aspecto de la película, ya que, acercándonos hacia el final de la película, me hicieron creer algo completamente diferente a lo que pasó, pensando que la protagonista podría sobrevivir por simplemente llevar ese papel de protagonista, pero nos demostraron una vez más que la muerte es muy inteligente y no persona.

One different touch that I liked about this film is that there are moments where you really think that maybe, just maybe, you can break the cycle. Those little moments of hope, however fleeting, add an extra layer of intrigue and while the formula is the same, the execution of the deaths and the way they connect all these events we've already seen are always unexpected. Actually, for me this was the best aspect of the movie, as, approaching towards the end of the movie, I was made to believe something completely different than what happened, thinking that the protagonist could survive by simply carrying that leading role, but we were shown once again that death is very smart and not a person.

Más allá del gore y la adrenalina, esta cinta también te deja pensando en la inevitabilidad de la muerte. Es un recordatorio macabro de lo frágiles que somos y de cómo, al final, nadie puede escapar de su destino. La película juega con la idea del control, o la falta de él, en nuestras vidas. ¿Realmente tenemos el poder de cambiar lo que está escrito, o solo estamos posponiendo lo inevitable? Es una pregunta incómoda, pero que la película plantea de forma muy efectiva a través de su narrativa implacable.

Beyond the gore and adrenaline, this film also leaves you thinking about the inevitability of death. It is a macabre reminder of how fragile we are and how, in the end, no one can escape their fate. The film plays with the idea of control, or lack thereof, in our lives. Do we really have the power to change what is written, or are we just postponing the inevitable? It's an uncomfortable question, but one that the film poses very effectively through its relentless narrative.

En resumen, esta película tiene algunos aspectos positivos y otros negativos, pero para mí llegan a ser un poco más de peso los aspectos negativos y, aunque en el público tuvo un recibimiento bastante bueno y una crítica algo positiva, realmente no es de mis películas favoritas. En esta sala siento que la hicieron muy comercial y nos quitaron ciertos aspectos de la película que hubieran subido su nivel cinematográfico. Aún así tengo que admitir que la pude disfrutar mientras la veía y no me aburrió ni mucho menos; realmente me dejó pendiente y viendo cada suceso que por la misma pasada. Personalmente le doy un 6/10; no es la mejor de la saga, pero tampoco la peor.

In summary, this film has some positive and some negative aspects, but for me the negative aspects are a bit more weighty and, although it had a fairly good reception from the public and a somewhat positive review, it is not really one of my favorite films. In this theater I feel that they made it very commercial and they took away certain aspects of the film that would have raised its cinematic level. Even so, I have to admit that I was able to enjoy it while watching it and it didn't bore me; it really left me hanging and watching every event that happened during the movie. Personally I give it a 6/10; it is not the best of the saga, but not the worst either.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a good example of how even the most successful cinema masters can risk overdoing the application of a single formula, so over time all those superhero films start to look indistinguishable each other. The television creators’ job, or rather Netflix’s, seems easier at first glance, considering that, instead of a new sequel or spin-off lasting two hours, they have to produce material of at least 13 hours. There are, however, reasons to believe that finding something original is much harder. This problem, among others, was faced by the creators of the second season of Daredevil, who at the beginning of 2016 had to somehow justify the expectations raised by the surprisingly high-quality first season and its spin-off in the form of Jessica Jones.

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind New York lawyer, is already established as Daredevil at the start of the second season, a masked avenger who at night, using his keen hearing, fighting skills, and other impressive abilities, tries to right wrongs and save the lives of his fellow citizens that he cannot in court. His triumph over the criminal empire of Wilson Fisk (Vincent d’Onofrio) is, however, short-lived, as the departure of the evil and all-powerful gangster boss to prison creates a power vacuum in the treacherous streets of Hell’s Kitchen that numerous other, often equally violent and ruthless "players" try to fill. One of them seems to be much more evil and violent than the others, or rather it seems that his campaign of mass and brutal liquidations of criminals has no other purpose than bloodshed. It is only when Murdock, together with his friend and law partner Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), gets involved in the case that it is revealed that behind it all is Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), a former Marine who, after the tragic death of his family in a drug deal shootout, decided to clean up New York from criminal scum in his own way. Murdock not only has to face someone who has taken Daredevil's vigilantism to another, much bloodier level, but also faces the ghosts of his own past in the form of the arrival of Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung), his former girlfriend and martial arts master who seeks his help in fighting a secret society of ancient Japanese assassins.

The producers of the series were aware that the second season had to be different from the first, and this was helped by the fact that its creators, Drew Goddard and Steven S. DeKnight, were no longer available, and the job of leading was taken over by Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez. The difference in the series was most noticeable in that Daredevil no longer has one powerful arch-nemesis and super-villain with whom he has to enter an epic conflict for the heart and soul of New York, but instead faces characters who, each in their own way, represent alternative versions of himself. The best example of this is Frank Castle, whom comic book fans will easily recognise as Marvel's Punisher, and whom Jon Bernthal plays in a masterful way, leaving light-years behind the three actors who played the same character on the big screen before him. Bernthal's Punisher is a realistic character, who with his appearance, gestures, but above all his actions, clearly suggests how deep a traumatic disorder, but also awareness of the consequences, or that not everyone has to understand his actions. Things are good with the arrival of another legendary Marvel character – Elektra – who is portrayed as an apparently perfect partner for Daredevil, but whose beauty, intelligence, charm, and martial arts mastery also hide a deeply hidden and suppressed, but sometimes unstoppable tendency to kill. French actress Elodie Yung, who plays this character, is a real discovery not only because of her exotic appearance, but also because of her talent that includes both acting and hand-to-hand combat, making her performance much better than Jennifer Garner who played the same character in the film version. To the set of all these morally ambiguous characters, one can add Daredevil's old mentor Stick, who, unlike his relatively brief appearance in the first season, has a somewhat more significant role here and whose presence at the very end prevents the obligatory cliffhanger and "unexpected" twist from getting an unnecessary melodramatic dimension, or streching credibility. Always reliable character actor Scott Glen in the role of Stick shows that even in his old age he is able to "spice up" the content with his performance.

The rest of the cast, or Daredevil's company from the first season, has remained in the shadows. In this, Foggy Nelson, played by the excellent Henson, has fared better than Karen Page; his character no longer functions as a "comic relief" and Murdock/Daredevil's sidekick, but as an exceptionally capable lawyer and the protagonist's conscience. While the character of Karen Page had a few good scenes, especially those in which she tries to convert Frank Castle from his violent path, the writers were not inclined to her in the end – both because of the forced and doomed-to-fail romance with the protagonist, and because of her not entirely convincing transformation into a journalist. The second season of Daredevil is therefore somewhat inferior to the first, but it has retained enough quality to justify the third and, perhaps most importantly, be a quality link for new spin-offs and the introduction of new characters and series into the Netflix Marvel universe.

RATING: 7/10 (+++)

Vi Drop una película que salió hace poco y está dirigida por Christopher Landon, para mí una de sus películas más conocidas es Happy Death Day y Freaky, en esta oportunidad este thriller mezcla una cita romántica con suspenso psicológico, me pareció que queda muy bien la combinación. Esta película trata sobre una mamá viuda que se llama Violet que después de un buen tiempo sin pareja decide conocer a alguien y lo conoce por una página de esas de citas, yo nunca he experimentado con una de esas páginas, la verdad me da un poco de miedo pero al parecer este tipo con el que ella sale es normal y es bueno, aunque al principio lo dude y pensé que era medio psicópata porque es demasaido bueno para decir verdad jajaja. El hecho es que ella se encuentra con Henry en un restaurante súper elegante para su primera cita pero las cosas se ponen bastante raras cuando empieza a recibir mensajes anónimos en su teléfono a través de una app que se llama drops, y lo que está recibiendo son amenazas o sea le dicen que tiene que matar a Henry o si no van a matar a su hermana y a su hijo que los secuestraron en su casa, me puse a pensar que hubiese hecho en su lugar y la verdad no quisiera estar en sus zapatos, a mí que me dejen con mis problemas normales prefiero no salir a conocer a nadie jajaja.

Me gustó bastante la película porque tiene tensión todo el tiempo y no hay efectos especiales exagerados o escenas de acción súper elaboradas, toda la película pasa en tiempo real en este restaurante de lujo y lo mejor es que nunca te aburres porque siempre está pasando algo y yo estuve atenta con el Sherlock Holmes activado tratando de descubrir quien es el de las bromitas por el celular. Además la química entre Megan Fehee y Brandon Slenar es muy buena, se siente real la conexión que tienen a pesar de que ella está pasando por el peor momento de su vida, el tipo es super comprensivo y no parece un idiota como en muchas películas así, porque se da cuenta de que algo anda mal y trata de ayudar y eso hizo que me sintiera más enamorada de la pareja. Megan Fehee tiene que actuar como si estuviera pasando un buen rato en su cita mientras por dentro está muriendo de miedo y la verdad me convenció y Brandon Slenar es todo masculino y encantador. El misterio de quién está enviando los mensajes se mantiene bien durante toda la película, hay pistas falsas que te hacen sospechar de diferentes personas en el restaurante y cuando finalmente se revela la verdad tiene sentido pero también me sorprendió un poco yo soy de las que siempre adivino quien es el malo o todo el rollo pero esta vez no la pegué. Aunque el final si es algo falso, desafían todos los límites de la gravedad y del tiempo porque la mujer llega a la casa volando para salvar a su familia, eso fue lo que no me gustó demasiado falso.

Esta película pareciera que tuviera como dos niveles diferentes, por un lado es un thriller psicológico con toda la tensión de los mensajes amenazantes y por otro es una comedia romántica incómoda donde él está tratando de tener una cita normal mientras ella está completamente estresada, es como si fueran dos películas diferentes pasando al mismo tiempo, pero la verdad eta combinación funcionó. Hay un mesonero en el restaurante que se llama Matt que a mí parecer está allí para distraer porque también pensé que era él, siempre pensé que eran todos, realmente creo que su papel es más para bajar la tensión y agregar algo de humor a toda la situación. También me gustó como manejan el tema de la tecnología y lo vulnerable que nos hace, la idea de que alguien pueda enviarte mensajes sin tu permiso y usarlos para chantajearte es algo que sucede más común de lo que creemos y la verdad cuando te pasa es aterrador y no estoy mintiendo, me pasó y te sientes espiado, claro no eran mensajes amenazadores pero si había alguien que le mandaba mensajes a mi pareja, fotos de nosotros dos paseando en el centro comercial y así y yo me partí la cabeza tratando de entender quien nos estaba espiando, al final nunca lo supe pero fue bastante desagradable. Otro tema que también toca la película es sobre el trauma y violencia doméstica a través del pasado de Violet, no es nada pesado o dramático más bien se integra bien a la historia principal y le da más profundidad al personaje.

El restaurante me encantó es todo elegante y sofisticado aunque también da algo de claustrofobia cuando la tensión aumenta, estar en un piso alto de un edificio es demasiado peligroso con todo lo que está pasando y la vista panorámica de la ciudad contrasta bien con el horror psicológico que está viviendo la protagonista. Lo chimbo es que hay unas partes donde la lógica desaparece como cuando el malo logra hacer todas estas cosas elaboradas en el restaurante sin que nadie se de cuenta y en el final cuando ella que colgada de una tela y no se rompe jajajaja esa no me la comí, pero bueno estaba bien metida en la historia y obvié un poco eso, la verdad creo que si no te pones a analizar cada detalle disfrutas de Drop, es una peli para pasar un buen rato.

Drop es una película entretenida de principio a fin por supuesto no es ninguna obra maestra, yo le doy un 6.5/10 porque se nota que Christopher Landon tiene bastante experiencia en este tipo de películas y le salió bien la forma en que mezcló los géneros, otra cosa que ayuda es que los actores principales tienen la química necesaria para que te importe lo que les pase y te metas en la historia, es una buena peli para pasar una noche de cine en pareja o con amigos que les guste el suspenso, no es demasiado intensa como para traumatizar a nadie pero si tiene bastante tensión y buen ritmop porque cada escena aporta algo a la historia y no hay relleno innecesario, voy a confesar que no esperaba mucho de esta peli pero terminé pasando un buen rato.

I quite liked the movie because it has tension all the time and there are no exaggerated special effects or super elaborate action scenes, the whole movie happens in real time in this fancy restaurant and the best thing is that you never get bored because there is always something going on and I was attentive with the Sherlock Holmes activated trying to find out who is the one with the jokes on the cell phone. This movie seems to have like two different levels, on one hand it's a psychological thriller with all the tension of the threatening messages and on the other it's an awkward romantic comedy where he's trying to have a normal date while she's completely stressed out, it's like two different movies happening at the same time, but the truth is that this combination worked. Quien no ha tenido un dispositivo de inteligencia artificial (Alexa) o en la compu has visto aplicaciones de inteligencia artificial, pues el día de hoy les traigo la reseña de una película animada de Dreamworks Animation llamada "Robot Salvaje" la cual trata de una inteligencia artificial, basada en el libro del mismo nombre de Peter Brown, fue multipremiada y nominada a los premios Oscar 2024.

Cabe mencionar que este post lo escribí varias veces ya que por problemas técnicos se borró varias veces, pero como es una película que vale le pena decidí volver a escribirlo ya que explora varios sentimientos humanos.

Está película trata de un robot con inteligencia artificial que naufraga en una isla deshabitada el cual necesita se le asigne una tarea, trata de comunicarse con los habitantes, pero solo eran animales y al no poder hacerlo, opta por activar su modo aprendizaje para poder comunicarse con ellos.

Ocurren varios sucesos que la llevan a encontrar un huevo que al revisarlo ve que aun hay vida dentro, y decide terminar de empollarlo, para así terminar con esa tarea, se hace amiga de varios animales que la ayudan a mantener con vida al pequeño patito que empolló.

A partir de aquí no les contaré mas ya que no les quiero hacer mas spoiler, en cuanto al desarrollo de la película.

La película en general está cargada de sentimientos que te hacen soltar una que otra lágrima ya que la robot se da a la tarea de cuidar a su nuevo hijo, el momento en que sale del cascarón es muy emotivo ya que se puede comparar con el momento del parto en el que nos enseñan a nuestro recién nacido que la emoción nos hace sentir una explosión multicolor, realmente es mágico, y supieron retratarlo muy bien.

Es una película de excelente animación, no solamente del robot, sino también de los animales a los cuales le da su propia personalidad, y los paisajes tan maravillosos que podemos ver a cada minuto.

Podemos encontrar Amor, Amistad, lealtad y compromiso dentro de la trama, es alentador que a pesar de las adversidades podamos sacar algo bueno, que aun haya humanidad.

Creo que fui una de las pocas personas que disfrutó de la secuela de la película de jumanji obviamente la primera siempre será la mejor pero no puedo negar que estas películas nuevas de jumanji son increíblemente divertidas al menos como la típica película que vas a ver al Cine sin pensar mucho, ahora con esta nueva secuela de esta nueva oleada de películas de jumanji puedo decir que esta película es exactamente lo que vamos a esperar de ella una película entretenida y bastante ligera sin grandes desarrollos en la trama.

Los efectos especiales en esta parte son buenos y la secuencia es rápida e intensa, me generó bastante adrenalina tanto que comencé a gritar que salieran de allí jejeje. Después de esto la película salta al presente y vemos que todo es un sueño o mejor dicho una pesadilla que está teniendo Stephanie, interpretada por Kaitlyn Santa Juana, sueña lo mismo como por casi dos meses y resulta que la muchacha del sueño es su abuela y aquí es donde la película se pone buena y explica cómo funciona esto de bloodlines y por qué toda la familia está marcada para morir.

The deaths in this movie are brutal and creative, it keeps that Final Destination spark of turning an ordinary situation into a deadly nightmare, from a simple backyard grill to MRI machines, it can be a death trap. The death in the hospital is probably the best of the whole movie, a sequence so crazy and gore that it made me laugh and scream at the same time. What I liked is that the film maintains that balance between horror and comedy, never taking itself too seriously but also never becoming a complete parody of itself.

The ending is brutal and has that typical Final Destination conclusion that reminds you that no one can escape death forever, I quite liked it I think Bloodlines proved that this franchise still has a lot to give.

En mi opinión Final Destination Bloodlines es justo lo que necesitaba esta franquicia después de 14 años de ausencia, mi puntuación es 7.5/10, es una película que respeta lo que vino antes pero que también trae ideas frescas, aunque tiene sus defectos como que a veces se ve mucho el uso de computadora y no son tantos efectos prácticos y algunos personajes actúan de manera estúpida para que la trama funcione, la película logra capturar esa esencia de Final Destination que tanto me gusta, por la mezcla de tensión, gore creativo y humor negro. La actuación de Kaitlyn Santa Juana como protagonista es buena aunque debo admitir que no es la más carismática de la franquicia, pero en general los actores se ven como si fueran una familia. Las secuencias de muerte son buenas y creativas y aunque ya conozca la formula de memoria la película me logró sorprender. El final es brutal y tiene esa típica conclusión de Final Destination que te recuerda que nadie puede escapar de la muerte para siempre, a mí me gustó bastante creo que Bloodlines demostró que esta franquicia todavía tiene mucho que dar.

What Men Want is a 2019 comedy movie that stars Taraji P. Henson as Ali. The movie is about a lady that works in a men's-dominated organization, and she was always sidelined whenever they were doing anything in the office, including a promotion. Because of this, she was determined to succeed in the men's world no matter what.

At a friend's bachelorette party, she was introduced to a psychic called Sister. She told her she wanted her to help her connect with men well, and Sister gave her a tea to drink. After that she and her friends drank and danced, and Ali was knocked out from drinking too much and became unconscious. When she woke up in the hospital, she heard the thought of the doctor attending to her, but she wasn't sure. While she and her assistant were in the car driving, she spoke to him, and he replied in his mind, and she heard his thoughts. She freaked out, but later realized that it was just men who thought she could hear.

They went looking for the psychic and tracked her down. Ali told her about her new ability and how she wants it to go away, but their psychic convinces her that her newfound ability is an asset. Ali had a change of mind after her conversation with Sister and decided to use her ability. She used her ability and learned about a poker game that would be attended by her colleagues and showed up there uninvited, and beat them to their game.

My review I don't know if it's just me, but I love every movie Taraji P. Henson stars in. I love the way she acts; I love how she makes every role she performs look seamless and real. Be it comedy or drama, she does it so perfectly; she is just too good. All the cast did absolutely well too 😄

Imagine waking up one day and you can hear the thoughts of the other gender—mind-blowing, right? But I don't think I want to be in such a position; I think I would run mad with all the things I would hear. But I love how the movie gave us a glimpse of what goes on in a man's head; it was really hilarious and disgusting at the same time.

I had a good laugh at different scenes, mostly where she and a guy are staring at each other while the guy thinks he's talking to himself alone in his head and doesn't know he's conversing with her.

God is so wise in His ways that He didn't make us hear other people's thoughts; if He had, a lot of people would have been dead by now, myself included.

Recommendation

The movie is highly enjoyable but I won't recommend it for family time with kids because most of the mens thought were sex related or how hot ones body is but if you need something to laugh and released some of those stress then you can go for it.

Rating I would rate it 3.5/5 because i enjoyed every part of it .
