Hello movie lovers and members of cinetv community. It’s another week for the cinetv prompt and this time we are to talk about a film that deals with lots of adventures. The reason why I’m happy about this week prompt is because there was an adventure film I just watched, an animation with the voice character from one of the most famous movie of all time “Pirate of the Caribbean” but that’s not the movie I’m talking about, I’m talking about

Yeah, that’s just the title Rango. Honestly, I was just watching Tv and I saw the movie on my dstv, I decided to give it a try and it was all worth it. Now let’s heard to the review.

After doing my search about "Rango" because I always do my research about a movie after I finish watching it, I discovered Rango is a modern classic that has aged like a fine wine, that is, no matter what year you watch it, it would still give you that fresh feeling of those that watched it back then. It was released in 2011,and this animated western film is filled with comedy and adventure. The film has become a beloved favorite among both kids and adults. The movie tells the story of Rango, a chameleon who finds himself in the dusty town of Dirt, where he becomes the unlikely sheriff.

The Storyline

The storyline is engaging and full of surprises. The film started of with Rango, voiced by Johnny Depp, he is a chameleon who's lost his sense of purpose. After accidentally ending up in Dirt, he becomes the town's sheriff and must navigate a complex web of corruption and danger.

How did he became the town sheriff, it was all lies and luck on his side. After lying to the people of the town about his great feets outside of the town, how he killed bandit and saved a town with one bullet, the town people believed in him and then the biggest predator attacked “The Hawk” Everyone went hiding but Rango didn’t know why until he was chased by the hawk. He ran and in the attempt to save himself with his gun from a rope that was binding him down, he shot the rope but the bullet went else were, bouncing from one place to another until it hit a big iron that fell on the hawk. One bullet. The town people praise him and they made him the town sheriff.

Along the way, he befriends a variety of quirky characters, among this characters are some wreaked one like Beans, a tough desert tortoise, and Rattlesnake Jake, a menacing western diamondback rattlesnake.

The Adventures

After Rango became the town sheriff, they were hit with another disaster, the last water that the town people rely on for survival was stolen and no one knows who did it. With Rango as the Sheriff, they set out to claim their water back and this was a whole new adventure for them.

The process of investigating the crime scene, the thieves, the returning to the town and all was well acted.

Lessons to Learn

One of the most significant aspects of Rango is the lessons it teaches, Courage, True leadership, The power of friendship and community.

Overall, Rango movie is a masterpiece of animation that I believe everyone should see. It’s fit for both adult and children of all ages. Watch it and thank me later.

Film Review: Lili Marleen (1981)

Rainer Werner Fassbinder, the enfant terrible of post-war German cinema, is a paradoxical figure in film history. His career, though abbreviated by his death at 37, was astonishingly prolific, yielding over 40 feature films, operas, and theatrical works in barely two decades. A director notorious for his unflinching exploration of societal decay—whether through the lens of racism, homosexuality, or the moral rot festering beneath West Germany’s economic miracle—Fassbinder’s films often alienated mainstream audiences despite their critical acclaim. His aesthetic, a collision of Fassbinder’s self-proclaimed “Hollywood irony” and the stark realism of the New German Cinema movement, left him stranded between artistic ambition and commercial viability. Lili Marleen (1981), released a year before his death, stands as his most explicit attempt to bridge this chasm. A kaleidoscopic blend of biopic, musical melodrama, and Holocaust story, the film is both a testament to Fassbinder’s ambition and a cautionary tale of a visionary straining to reconcile his idiosyncratic voice with populist appeal.

The film’s classification as a “biopic” is, at best, a tenuous claim. While Lili Marleen draws loose inspiration from the life of Lale Andersen (1905–1972), the German singer immortalised by the titular song, it functions more accurately as a roman à clef. Andersen’s semi-autobiographical 1972 novel Sky Has Many Colours—a fictionalised account of her wartime experiences—provides the skeletal structure for Fassbinder’s narrative, though the director embellishes and reconfigures events to suit his thematic preoccupations. Her affair with Robert Mendelsson (Giancarlo Giannini), a Swiss-Jewish pianist, is as much a collision of passion as it is of ideological friction. The subplot involving Robert’s espionage mission to gather evidence of Nazi death camps feels perfunctory, tacked onto the melodrama without sufficient emotional or thematic integration. This tonal dissonance reaches its nadir when Fassbinder, in a moment of uncharacteristic self-indulgence, casts himself as resistance leader Günther Weissenborn—a cameo that borders on self-parody. Worse still, the film’s final act includes a baffling reference to Fassbinder’s own Berlin Alexanderplatz (1980), a television miniseries that would have been utterly obscure to all but the most ardent cinephiles. These choices betray a director torn between populist storytelling and avant-garde pretension, resulting in a work that never fully coalesces.

Nevertheless, Lili Marleen remains a fascinating artifact of Fassbinder’s career—a film that, for all its imperfections, encapsulates the contradictions of its creator. It is a work of audacious ambition, blending historical inquiry with operatic excess, and a film that dares to ask whether art can ever transcend the moral compromises of its creation. While it may not rank among Fassbinder’s masterpieces—Ali: Fear Eats the Soul (1974) or The Marriage of Maria Braun (1979) remain more cohesive expressions of his genius—it offers a compelling entry point into his oeuvre for viewers unacquainted with his more challenging works. For historians, it serves as a provocative meditation on the role of artists under totalitarian regimes; for cinephiles, it is a testament to Fassbinder’s restless experimentation with form.

Review The Fable 👮🏻 How to Not Kill for a Year
Welcome to another art post here in the community.

I didn’t know much about The Fable before watching it. I had only read somewhere that it was an anime about a hitman who had to live peacefully for a year without killing anyone. It sounds simple, but what I found was one of the most fun, weird, and even unexpectedly absurd experiences I’ve had with an anime.

Right from the start, the premise had me hooked, I think.

The protagonist, known only as Fable, is a professional hitman who never fails or never used to. He does the job calmly, without getting worked up, wasting time, or showing emotion. He seems like a machine (Anyone here know Hitman?). But after so many years of killing, his boss decides to give him some “forced vacation.” The order is clear: he must live like a normal person for a year. No killing anyone.

Not even in self-defense.

The funniest part is that Fable takes this new mission as seriously as any assassination contract. He starts introducing himself as Akira Satō.

He moves to Osaka with his “sister” (who’s actually his assistant, the hilarious alcoholic Yōko). That’s where everything begins to unfold.

The big twist in The Fable is the contrast.

You take someone who can kill in a thousand ways, who has modern ninja reflexes, and throw him into a world where the biggest challenge is understanding how to talk to people or working as a fried chicken mascot illustrator.

Yes, seriously.

He gets a job as an illustrator for a chicken mascot.

And he takes it seriously...

The comedic part of the anime works really well. Fable is completely disconnected from human emotions, but at the same time, he tries to be “normal.” He studies how to laugh at jokes. He finds it weird to sleep eight hours. He trains every day but hides it like an addiction. Unlike other comedies that rely on forced gags, here everything flows naturally. We laugh not because he’s clownish, but because he genuinely doesn’t know how to be human.

But The Fable isn’t just jokes. There’s real action, with well-choreographed scenes, chases, and fights against mobsters and criminals who have no idea who they’re dealing with. And that’s another high point: the way the anime blends humor with real danger. The villains are cruel. There are tense scenes, innocent people at risk, and Fable has to restrain himself from breaking the no-kill rule.

The animation isn’t amazing, I’ll be honest.

It’s not on the level of Jujutsu Kaisen or Attack on Titan. It’s simple, and at times even feels a bit static. But it never really bothered me.

The writing and characters carry the anime with ease. In fact, the simplicity of the animation might even match the show’s down-to-earth vibe.

The side characters are also really good. As I mentioned, Yōko steals the scene multiple times. She’s a sarcastic alcoholic but smart, and she balances Fable out. There are also yakuza members watching him some trying to start fights, others trying to protect him. The anime handles relationships well, even if subtly.

One thing that surprised me was how the anime handles violence. Even though it’s a story about a hitman, it’s not a gore anime. There’s no pointless blood splatter. When violence happens, it’s quick, precise, and direct. This gives more impact to the scenes because they aren’t gratuitous.

Another surprise was the social commentary hidden between the lines. Fable is a product of a system where killing is business. He lives on the edge of morality and duty, and when he tries to live as a civilian, he realizes just how out of place he is. At times, the anime even lightly touches on issues like abuse, power, status, and how we treat people with “invisible roles” in society.

The pacing is good. There are 25 episodes split into two parts (two cours). No episode feels like filler. Everything is well constructed, with a beginning, middle, and end. And yes, there’s room for continuation. The manga has a lot more story, and from what I’ve read, there’s still plenty of great material to adapt. Hopefully there’s more to come.

Speaking of the manga, it’s worth mentioning the author:

Katsuhisa Minami. He wrote and illustrated The Fable, and also worked on the sequel called The Fable: The Second Contact.

His style blends dry humor with intense action, and that’s a strong hallmark of the series.

The anime was produced by Tezuka Productions, known for classics like Astro Boy and Black Jack. It was directed by Ryōsuke Takahashi, a veteran with experience in military anime like Votoms, which adds weight to the action scenes.

Overall, The Fable was a pleasant surprise.

An anime that blends action, comedy, and a good dose of drama, without overdoing any of it.

It’s the kind of story that hooks you because it’s different. There are no superpowers, no teenagers saving the world, no villains yelling clichés. It’s a story about a man trying not to be what he always was. And that, to me, is what hit the hardest.

This is my second time watching this movie, and I remember saying I'd review it, but I'm just realizing I haven't done so yet, so here we go.

This movie is a sci-fi thriller with a bit of romance, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Tiller. This was a strange combination for me, so I wanted to check it out.

Es la segunda vez que veo esta película y recuerdo que dije qué haría un review y recién me estoy dando cuenta que aún no lo había hecho, así que vamos allá.

Esta película es un thriller de ciencia ficción con un poco de romance, está protagonizado por Anya Taylor-joy y Miles Tiller. Para mi esta fue un combinación extraña y por este motivo quise echar un vistazo.

What's it about?

At first, the plot is somewhat divided between these two characters, Levi (Miles) and Drasa (Anya).

Levi is a former American Green Beret, and Drasa is a Lithuanian sniper. Both characters are sent on a mission that is supposed to last approximately one year. The mission consists of guarding towers at the edge of a gorge. There are two towers, both at one end of the other.

In the story, these two characters are supposed to be on this secret mission. They know they must each guard their own towers, but they don't know exactly what they're supposed to guard. Furthermore, they were forbidden from communicating since each belongs to a different area, and evidently each side is protecting its own interests.

We already know how movies go: they forbid the characters from doing something, but eventually they do it, and the worst part is that they enter the gorge and end up discovering what's really there.

¿De que trata?

Al principio la trama va un poco dividida entre estos dos personajes con Levi (Miles) y Drasa (Anya).

Levi es un ex boina verde estadounidense y Drasa es una francotirado Lituana. Ambos personajes son enviados en un misión que debe durar aproximadamente un año. La misión consiste en resguardar unas torres al borde de un desfiladero. Hay dos torres ambas están a un extremo de la otra.

En la historia se supone que estos dos personajes están haciendo esta misión secreta, saben que deben resguardar cada uno sus torres pero no saben exactamente de que. Además, estos tenían prohibido comunicarse ya que cada uno pertenece a una zona diferente y evidentemente cada lado protege sus intereses.

Ya sabemos como son las películas les prohiben a los personajes hacer algo y eventualmente lo harán y lo peor es que se adentran en el desfiladero y terminan descubriendo que es lo que realmente hay allí debajo.

I feel like it's an entertaining film worth watching. It always kept me intrigued, although I admit the romance wasn't very convincing. I'd remove that category and leave it with the rest; possibly that and other details would have given it a better perspective. I mention this because I feel the romance takes away from the story's power; it's like adding a bit of filler. I admit it was interesting to me; I think anyone looking for a good time could be entertained.

Siento que es una película entretenida que merece la pena verla, siempre me mantuvo con la intriga aunque admito que la parte del romance no me convenció mucho, yo le quitaría esa categoría y la dejaría con el resto, posiblemente eso y otros detalles hubieran dando una mejor perspectiva. Menciono esto porque siento que el romance le quita fuerza a la historia, es como meter un poco de relleno en la historia. Admito que para mi fue interesante, creo que cualquier persona que este buscando pasar el rato podría entretenerse.

I am here again to share my opinion or review of the movie I've watched recently. It's Paddington in Peru.

I know that there were two Paddington movies before this one, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch them. At first, I was hesitant to write a review on this, but I still decided to do so. Even if I only watched Paddington in Peru (the third movie), it was still very interesting and entertaining, and I think it's a different story from the two previous movies. So, I don’t think it really matters whether I’ve watched them or not.

Anyway, Paddington in Peru follows the journey of Paddington as he returns to Peru to visit his beloved aunt Lucy at the "Home for Retired Bears", with the Brown family who tagged along with him. But as they arrived there, they found out that his aunt Lucy had gone missing. Their exciting visit and thrilling adventure arose when a mystery plunged them into an unexpected journey.

Paddington and the Brown family, determined to find Aunt Lucy, head to the jungles in Peru and spring into action to find her. And as a result, they were thrown into a treasure quest that they believe will lead them to her.

The questions are, will they find Aunt Lucy, and will they find or discover some treasures? These queries will definitely be answered when you watch this film. But I can 💯% assure you that it's full of exciting adventures, and I hope that you will love it too as much as I do.

This movie is warmly delightful, smart and adventurous, it is packed with humor, charm and heartfelt messages.

It has a good message about family. It teaches us about the true meaning of home and family, and this film will surely entertain people of all ages, young kids and adults alike.

The actors are all amazingly good, and the settings were absolutely stunning. It showcases the beautiful and incredible variety of landscapes in Peru. It is simply magical, a perfect place for a story full of adventure like this.

My favorite part that really touched my heart is when Paddington asked the Brown family if he could come back home with them despite discovering his own home and roots.

This film is really heartwarming and a must-watch, so I highly recommend this to you. You'll never regret it, and you will surely love it.

Kimi ni todoke, adaptaciones live action 2010/2023 [esp-eng]

Mis gustos son variados y en estos no podía faltar el romance, de ese dulce, amoroso, tierno e inocente, con estas características supongo que debes de haber pensando justo en “Kimi ni todoke” un anime y manga en estilo “shōjo”, dentro de los cuales ocupa son duda el primer puesto en mi top de este estilo.

My tastes are varied, and romance is a must. Sweet, loving, tender, and innocent—with these characteristics, I guess you must have thought of "Kimi ni Todoke," a shōjo-style anime and manga, which is undoubtedly at the top of my list in this genre.

La trama guarda nerviosismo en cada uno de sus capítulos, y en cada uno de los mismos vemos los avances de “Sawako Kuronuma” o más bien conocida como “Sadako”, apodada con ese nombre por su parecido con el personaje de la película “Ringu” o en su versión estadounidense llamada “The Ring” (El Aro). Sawako es una chica temerosa qué refleja un aura oscura y misteriosa, sin embargo por dentro es muy dulce y gentil.

The plot keeps you on edge in every chapter, and in each one we see the progress of Sawako Kuronuma, better known as Sadako, nicknamed after her resemblance to the character in the movie Ringu, or its American version called The Ring. Sawako is a fearful girl who exudes a dark and mysterious aura, yet inside she is very sweet and gentle.

En la otra vereda, con un aura repleta de luz y jovialidad encontramos a Shouta Kazehaya, un joven amable y carismático, amigo de todos los alumnos en su salón de clases y muy popular entre las chicas, su sonrisa contagiosa es la que llama la atención de Sawako tomándolo como su modelo a seguir.

On the other side of the aisle, with an aura full of light and cheerfulness, we find Shouta Kazehaya, a kind and charismatic young man, friend to all the students in his classroom and very popular with the girls. His contagious smile catches Sawako's attention, and she takes him as her role model.

Sawako siente una infinita admiración por Shota, de cierta manera, ella lo ve como su modelo a seguir. Sin embargo Shouta, siente un interés amoroso hacia la chica tímida. El ve mucho más allá de lo que los demás ven y se admira con cada gesto y sonrisa que está regala sin darse cuenta.

Sawako feels infinite admiration for Shota; in a way, she sees him as her role model. However, Shota feels romantic interest toward the shy girl. He sees much more than others do and admires every gesture and smile she gives him without realizing it.

Pero, hoy no hablaré del anime en si y haremos una comparación entre sus dos live actions.

However, today I will not discuss the anime itself, but rather compare its two live-action adaptations.

La primera es su live action titulada “llegaré a ti”, esta se estrenó en el año 2010. La segunda, titulada “Kimi ni todoke” llegando a ti “From me to you” fue estrenada en el año 2023.

The first is a live-action film titled "I'll Reach You," which was released in 2010. The second, titled "Kimi ni Todoke" (Reaching You) or "From Me to You," was released in 2023.

Si bien es cierto, ambas tienen los mismos personajes, y no hay variación en ese sentido, siento que la versión de 2023 fue mucho más fiel al manga y anime en cuanto a trama y parecido con sus personajes.

While it is true that both have the same characters, and there is no variation in that sense, I feel that the 2023 version was much more faithful to the manga and anime in terms of plot and character likeness.

En ambas versiones hallamos a sus mismos personajes e interacciones, sin embargo en ambas entregas nos regala escenas no vistas en el anime. En la trama de 2023 estas escenas aclaran partes del anime, sin embargo en la entrega de 2010 hay escenas cambiadas lo cual deja pensando al espectador.

Both versions feature the same characters and interactions, but both installments offer scenes not seen in the anime. In the 2023 plot, these scenes clarify parts of the anime, but in the 2010 installment, there are changed scenes that leave the viewer wondering.

En lo personal, la primera que vi, fue la entrega de 2023, siento que sus personajes captaron la esencia de los mismos y eso es algo que se agradece, los diálogos eran muy parecidos y era como estar viendo el anime en carne y hueso, la versión de 2010 se modificó algunos diálogos haciéndolo ver de un modo distintos, a ratos podría pensarse qué estamos viendo algo totalmente distinto, pero luego retoma su cauce y volvemos a sentir que estando mirando “Kimi ni todoke”.

Personally, the first one I saw was the 2023 version. I feel that its characters captured the essence of the original, which is something to be grateful for. Por otro lado, la actriz “Tabe Mikako” quien la personificó en la versión 2010 parecía un tanto forzada, no quiere decir que sea mala, pero en esencia me quedo con la primera mencionada. En cuanto a parecido con el personaje de anime Mianami llegó muy cerca en cuanto al parecido, aún más que lo que logró Tabe.

Motorheads, Love for Speed is a drama, teen romance TV series set in the year 2025. It was directed by John A. Norris, who is the creator of the story, in collaboration with Neil Burger and Rebecca Rodriguez. What is the theme of the series? It tells us about street car racing. Like many of you who have read some of my reviews, I personally love car racing, so I was interested in the production and my expectations were high. Did it live up to them? This and much more, I am going to tell you about it below.

This series has ten episodes of a total of 55 minutes each more or less. The story that tells us about a group of teenagers, which live their first loves, heartbreaks and their first cars to do one of the things they like the most, such as street racing. One of the things I like most about the series is the fact that it mixes action, adrenaline and youthful relationships. Among the main characters we have twin siblings Zac and Melissa, who along with their mother Samantha, move in with their uncle Logan Maddox. Logan is a former NASCAR driver, who owns a garage and who along with his nephews enter the world of street racing.

Entre los personajes principales tenemos a los hermanos gemelos Zac y Melissa, quienes junto a su madre Samantha, se mudan con su tío Logan Maddox. Logan es un expiloto de NASCAR, quien tiene un taller y quienes junto a sus sobrinos se adentran al mundo de las competencias de autos callejeras.

The film leaves us different messages, it has a pretty good story that I don't dislike. A plot that you can enjoy a lot, it has a story full of adrenaline, action, love, it also has suspense, which makes it much more attractive, because the series does not become so predictable. Zac and Caitlyn's father, Logan's brother, is not in their lives and the reality is that at the beginning we don't know why and that's where the suspense I was talking about comes in. I mention the latter to talk about the first message that the series leaves us, which is to break with the step, as these boys must make the decision whether to follow in their own footsteps and continue with the mistakes made by their parents. The production leaves us other messages, but among the most important we have what is the power of friendship, that despite the problems that arise along the way, the support between the group of teenagers demonstrating the importance of loyalty.

I thought the director's work was excellent, he knew how to transmit what he wanted to show on the screen and give different messages to the audience, especially to the younger ones, not to make the same mistakes as others, but rather to learn from them. The script was written by the creator of the story, John A. Norris. I thought the script was quite good, everything was perfectly understood. The cast of the series is another point that I must highlight, where Ryan Phillippe plays Logan Maddox, an actor who has done different projects that I personally consider that he has done a very good job, remembering that the review is purely as a personal opinion. We also have Nathalie Kelley as Samantha, Michael Cimino as Zac and Melissa Collazo as Caitlyn, in addition to another group that make up the cast of the series with characters that form an important role in the story.

The cinematography that gives us an atmosphere full of adrenaline at the time of the races, youth drama and love. We also have quite beautiful locations that are shown in the series. Additionally, we have wonderful scenes with different visual effects, especially in the races, that take us inside the Motorheads story. Another positive point of the series is the soundtrack is excellent, with a combination of alternative rock, hip-hop and electronica, which captures all the attention of the viewer, especially the younger ones, because that is where the series is aimed, but this does not mean that they can not be seen by people of other ages, because this production can be seen by anyone, the important thing is that they like the genre.

La película nos deja diferentes mensajes, cuenta con una historia bastante bien que no me desagrada. Una trama que se puede disfrutar bastante, cuenta con una historia llena de mucha adrenalina, acción, amor, también cuenta con suspenso, lo cual la hace mucho más atractivo, pues la serie no se hace tan predecible. El padre de Zac y Caitlyn, hermano de Logan, no está en las vidas de ellos y la realidad es que al inicio no se sabe el porqué y allí entra el suspenso de la cual les hablaba. Esto último se los menciono para poder hablarles sobre el primer mensaje que nos deja la serie, que es romper con el paso, pues estos chicos deben tomar la decisión si seguir sus propios pasos y continuar con los errores que cometieron sus padres. La producción nos deja otros mensajes, pero entre lo más importante tenemos lo que es el poder de la amistad, que a pesar de que pesar de los problemas que se presentan en el camino, el apoyo entre el grupo de adolescentes demostrando la importancia de la lealtad.

El trabajo del director me pareció excelente, supo transmitir lo que quería mostrar en la pantalla y dar los diferentes mensajes al público, sobre todo a los más jóvenes de no cometer los mismos errores de los demás, más bien aprender de ellos. También tenemos a Nathalie Kelley como Samantha, Michael Cimino como Zac y Melissa Collazo como Caitlyn, además de otro grupo que forman el reparto de la serie con personajes que forman un papel importante dentro de la historia.

La fotografía que nos da una atmósfera llena de la adrenalina en el momento de las carreras, el drama juvenil y el amor. También tenemos lugares bastante hermosos que se muestran en la serie. Synopsis: James is a young aspiring actor who makes a living working as a ride-sharing driver. However, when he accepts what seemed to be just another routine ride, he actually has no idea of the perverse game he will be forced to participate in.

One of the things I like most (and obviously value) about suspense movies is the ability the script has to create situations where the characters experience situations of real danger, with a “tactile” tension, making the experience of watching that story something more immersive. Modern cinema is still trying to find this path within this genre, but it has not yet found the most productive direction to follow. This movie is yet another example that fosters everything I am saying, because it is a project with a very interesting idea, but very poorly developed.

Set during a long night in the intense city of Los Angeles, the plot is centered on three characters: James, Jessica and Bruno. James is trying to be an actor, and when that doesn't happen, he works as a driver for a private ride company (app rides), while Jessica and Bruno are just seemingly normal passengers, however, James will discover that they are very different. The movie is divided into two precise moments, and it is from this that the script tries to outline a suspense plot based on a purely psychological foundation.

While driving for Jessica, James realizes that they were discreetly flirting with each other. It doesn't take long until James accepts another ride (after dropping Jessica off where she wanted to go), and he ends up meeting Bruno (the typical passenger who seems to be everyone's friend, but who actually hides bad intentions) and after being invited by the passenger to take a much longer ride in exchange for better pay, James' night becomes a big nightmare, which, by the way, ends up being shared with Jessica inside the same car.

The initial tension is relatively well-built (even with some questionable decisions in the middle of the entire process of connection between each of the three characters, which basically reflect stupid attitudes that in the real world would be something difficult to happen), but the pace of the movie is too slow, and ends up bringing a very shallow story right in its second act, to the point that its less than 80 minutes seem to last more than 120 minutes. Not even the use of clichés of this cinematic genre are used with the minimum of caution, delivering a very bad climax.

At times it is true that the dynamics of the script tries to establish a good narrative (and in fact, in essence the plot is cool, and has good potential), and relies on longer dialogues to try to do this (favoring the collective rapport of the characters, which ends up being the “key piece” of everything we see on screen). However, the suspense takes a while to build, and when things are actually starting to heat up (and here I'm referring to the psychological game that James and Jessica are forced to participate in under Bruno's command) the movie reaches its “conclusion”.

Personally speaking, I found the idea of using a single car as the main setting for all the more specific events very interesting. This creates a somewhat “claustrophobic” feeling, which is initially a positive thing, but the script fails to create situations that sustain this type of approach for long, and it doesn’t take long for things to start getting too repetitive (and from that point on, the movie fails to offer anything useful). Not to mention the fact that the villain’s motivation is never fully explained in the plot.

There is a brief explanation of the villain’s objective (and I prefer to believe that the script wanted to make a kind of criticism about how dangerous all people can be, regardless of gender, nationality, sexual preference, financial class, color or physical features), but there is no “sedimentation” of this idea that justifies the acts committed throughout the narrative. In the cast, Jessie T. Usher, Bella Thorne and Will Brill even tried hard to deliver performances with an “acceptable quality”, but even this cast isn’t good... They are clearly sabotaged by this script.

Nem mesmo o uso dos clichês desse gênero cinematográfico são usados com o mínimo de cautela, entregando um clímax bem ruim.

Em alguns momentos é verdade que a dinâmica do roteiro tenta estabelecer uma boa narrativa (e de fato, na essência da ideia a trama é legal, e tem um bom potencial), e aposta em diálogos mais longos para tentar fazer isso (favorecendo o entrosamento coletivo dos personagens, que acaba sendo a “peça-chave” de tudo o que vemos na tela). No entanto, o suspense demora a acontecer, e quando de fato as coisas estão começando a esquentar (e aqui eu me refiro ao jogo psicológico ao qual James e Jessica são obrigados a participar sob o comando de Bruno) o filme chega a sua “conclusão”.

The animation is quite nice, from the very beginning it feels very fluid, however, something that the first installment did very well was to feel extremely vibrant with its color palette and a spectacular amount of details, something that is not appreciated in this film, it could be argued that it seeks to have a more "gloomy" theme but that is no excuse to ignore the details that make the animation stand out.

El villano es el gran fracaso de este apartado, si hay algo que dejo en evidencia la primera entrega es que pueden hacer antagonistas con una buena motivación y con el cual pese a todo se puede empatizar, aquí no sucede eso, se expone un villano genérico que solo es malo porque si, es un retroceso bastante denotable si se le compara con su predecesora.

‎I saw this show during the holy week last two month and I still have no idea why I haven't reviewed it yet. In my lifetime, I haven't really seen a lot of Kelvin Hart's movies but the ones I've seen do not fail to turn me into a laughing mess. I choke in between giggles and laughs whenever I see a show with him in it. And this one, wasn't any different. ‎ ‎I have this roommate that loves watching a lot of comedy movies and cartoons, although for some reasons she hates the kind of cartoons I watch. Which might include anime and maybe incredible and the likes but I guess everyone has their tastes. So, yes; back to the comedy movies. It's a Thursday in holy week and my roommate is hovering over me from the edge of my bed, where she stood, asking if I'd watch a movie with her. I glance at her and glance back at the novel I was reading and decide not to let that enthusiastic expression on her face fade. So I scoot to the side of my bed, leaving her room to slip in and start the movie with her. I also remembered to tell her I might sleep off during the first minutes of the movie, because I thought it wouldn't be so good. I ended up having my eyes peeled open till the end of the movie. I laughed my stomach out and my eyes watered by how much I was laughing. It was just so good. ‎ Source ‎Think like a man is a movie that stars a lot of amazing actors and actress I can't begin to mention. The movie starts with a book by Steve Harvey: Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. This book emphasizes on how men thinks during a relationship or before courting a woman and after marriage. It's bizzare how so much information managed to enter into a book. That's what the women in the movie thought. Naturally, it was a best seller as women are always as confused with the behaviors of men the same way they are with women. But sometimes, it's just difficult trying to know the male person. They're just weird and this is me being nice. ‎ ‎The movie follows four main couples, each at a different stage in love. They’re all connected through friendship, work, or just bad advice. And through it all is Cedric, played by Kevin Hart, who’s loud, divorced, and living in a hotel, pretending he’s happy to be single. ‎ ‎First, there’s Zeke. Zeke is a classic player. Smooth talker. Knows how to get a woman into bed without making promises. He meets Mya, a woman who’s done with hookups and heartbreak. Mya decides to follow the 90-day rule from the book. No sex for three months unless the man proves he’s serious. Zeke thinks he can wait her out. He flirts, takes her on dates, acts like a gentleman. But she doesn’t budge. They come close one night, heat rising between them, clothes half off, her body against his—but she stops. He’s frustrated, but something in him shifts. He starts wanting more than just sex. When the 90 days pass, they finally sleep together. But then she finds out he had bragged to his friends, treating her like a conquest. She’s hurt. She leaves. Zeke, for the first time, feels real regret. He goes after her, not with lines, but with honesty. He tells her she’s changed him. He doesn’t want to go back to being who he was. She takes him back. ‎ Source ‎Then there’s Lauren. She’s powerful, rich, and sharp. A boss in every sense. She meets Dominic, who is handsome and smart, but works as a valet and dreams of opening a restaurant. Lauren lies to herself, tells herself she can handle dating a man who doesn’t match her status. But she keeps hiding the truth from her coworkers and her friends. Dominic cooks for her, takes care of her, and they have a deep connection. There’s real chemistry. The sex is passionate, but also vulnerable. She wants him, but doesn’t respect him fully. When he finds out she’s been hiding him, he walks away. He tells her he’s proud of who he is, even if he doesn’t have it all together yet. That honesty hits her hard. In the end, she swallows her pride and tells him she doesn’t want the perfect man anymore. She wants him. ‎ ‎Jeremy and Kristen have been together for nine years. Kristen wants marriage and a grown-up life. Jeremy still acts like a boy. He plays video games, drinks with his friends, and lets his mother control everything. Kristen starts applying the book’s tactics. She redecorates his house, throws out his comic books, and forces him to act like a man. It pushes him to a breaking point. He accuses her of changing him too much. But when she says she’s done raising a man-child, he finally understands. He gets a job with better pay, grows up, and proposes. She accepts, realizing that the man she loved was always there—he just needed a push. ‎ ‎Michael and Candace are the other long-term couple. Candace is a single mom with a son. Michael is sweet, but his mother still calls the shots. She doesn’t think any woman is good enough for her son, especially one with a kid. Candace loves Michael but doesn’t want to fight for a place in his life. When she sees that his mother will always come first, she walks away. Michael realizes that he’s about to lose not just Candace, but the family he’s started to build with her son. He stands up to his mother, tells her he’s choosing Candace. In the end, he proposes, and this time, Candace believes him. ‎ ‎All the while, Cedric is in the background, being loud, messy, and funny. He’s divorced and bitter. He acts like he’s enjoying single life, but he’s clearly miserable. He constantly complains about his ex-wife Gail, but it’s obvious he still misses her. He offers his friends the worst advice, usually based on what not to do. Cedric’s role isn’t about getting back together with anyone—it’s about realizing that healing takes time, and pretending you’re okay doesn’t make it true. ‎ ‎Things take a turn when the men find out about the book. They discover that the women have been using Steve Harvey’s advice to control the game. So the guys decide to flip it. They read the book too, and start using it to mess with the women. They pretend to be everything the women want—sensitive, thoughtful, committed—but only to prove they can’t be manipulated. ‎ Source ‎But the games don’t work for long. Everyone starts to feel the weight of the lies. Real feelings get tangled in fake behavior. Hearts get broken. Friendships strain. Then one by one, each man drops the act. They stop trying to win and just tell the truth. They admit their fears, their pride, their love. ‎ ‎The movie ends with each couple coming back together, not because of a book, but because they finally show who they really are. Kevin Hart was a main character and he did an incredible job, not gonna lie. I laughed my ass so many times, I even fell off my bed laughing at one point.
