‎I saw this show during the holy week last two month and I still have no idea why I haven't reviewed it yet. In my lifetime, I haven't really seen a lot of Kelvin Hart's movies but the ones I've seen do not fail to turn me into a laughing mess. I choke in between giggles and laughs whenever I see a show with him in it. And this one, wasn't any different. ‎ ‎I have this roommate that loves watching a lot of comedy movies and cartoons, although for some reasons she hates the kind of cartoons I watch. Which might include anime and maybe incredible and the likes but I guess everyone has their tastes. So, yes; back to the comedy movies. It's a Thursday in holy week and my roommate is hovering over me from the edge of my bed, where she stood, asking if I'd watch a movie with her. I glance at her and glance back at the novel I was reading and decide not to let that enthusiastic expression on her face fade. So I scoot to the side of my bed, leaving her room to slip in and start the movie with her. I also remembered to tell her I might sleep off during the first minutes of the movie, because I thought it wouldn't be so good. I ended up having my eyes peeled open till the end of the movie. I laughed my stomach out and my eyes watered by how much I was laughing. It was just so good. ‎ Source ‎Think like a man is a movie that stars a lot of amazing actors and actress I can't begin to mention. The movie starts with a book by Steve Harvey: Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. This book emphasizes on how men thinks during a relationship or before courting a woman and after marriage. It's bizzare how so much information managed to enter into a book. That's what the women in the movie thought. Naturally, it was a best seller as women are always as confused with the behaviors of men the same way they are with women. But sometimes, it's just difficult trying to know the male person. They're just weird and this is me being nice. ‎ ‎The movie follows four main couples, each at a different stage in love. They’re all connected through friendship, work, or just bad advice. And through it all is Cedric, played by Kevin Hart, who’s loud, divorced, and living in a hotel, pretending he’s happy to be single. ‎ ‎First, there’s Zeke. Zeke is a classic player. Smooth talker. Knows how to get a woman into bed without making promises. He meets Mya, a woman who’s done with hookups and heartbreak. Mya decides to follow the 90-day rule from the book. No sex for three months unless the man proves he’s serious. Zeke thinks he can wait her out. He flirts, takes her on dates, acts like a gentleman. But she doesn’t budge. They come close one night, heat rising between them, clothes half off, her body against his—but she stops. He’s frustrated, but something in him shifts. He starts wanting more than just sex. When the 90 days pass, they finally sleep together. But then she finds out he had bragged to his friends, treating her like a conquest. She’s hurt. She leaves. Zeke, for the first time, feels real regret. He goes after her, not with lines, but with honesty. He tells her she’s changed him. He doesn’t want to go back to being who he was. She takes him back. ‎ Source ‎Then there’s Lauren. She’s powerful, rich, and sharp. A boss in every sense. She meets Dominic, who is handsome and smart, but works as a valet and dreams of opening a restaurant. Lauren lies to herself, tells herself she can handle dating a man who doesn’t match her status. But she keeps hiding the truth from her coworkers and her friends. Dominic cooks for her, takes care of her, and they have a deep connection. There’s real chemistry. The sex is passionate, but also vulnerable. She wants him, but doesn’t respect him fully. When he finds out she’s been hiding him, he walks away. He tells her he’s proud of who he is, even if he doesn’t have it all together yet. That honesty hits her hard. In the end, she swallows her pride and tells him she doesn’t want the perfect man anymore. She wants him. ‎ ‎Jeremy and Kristen have been together for nine years. Kristen wants marriage and a grown-up life. Jeremy still acts like a boy. He plays video games, drinks with his friends, and lets his mother control everything. Kristen starts applying the book’s tactics. She redecorates his house, throws out his comic books, and forces him to act like a man. It pushes him to a breaking point. He accuses her of changing him too much. But when she says she’s done raising a man-child, he finally understands. He gets a job with better pay, grows up, and proposes. She accepts, realizing that the man she loved was always there—he just needed a push. ‎ ‎Michael and Candace are the other long-term couple. Candace is a single mom with a son. Michael is sweet, but his mother still calls the shots. She doesn’t think any woman is good enough for her son, especially one with a kid. Candace loves Michael but doesn’t want to fight for a place in his life. When she sees that his mother will always come first, she walks away. Michael realizes that he’s about to lose not just Candace, but the family he’s started to build with her son. He stands up to his mother, tells her he’s choosing Candace. In the end, he proposes, and this time, Candace believes him. ‎ ‎All the while, Cedric is in the background, being loud, messy, and funny. He’s divorced and bitter. He acts like he’s enjoying single life, but he’s clearly miserable. He constantly complains about his ex-wife Gail, but it’s obvious he still misses her. He offers his friends the worst advice, usually based on what not to do. Cedric’s role isn’t about getting back together with anyone—it’s about realizing that healing takes time, and pretending you’re okay doesn’t make it true. ‎ ‎Things take a turn when the men find out about the book. They discover that the women have been using Steve Harvey’s advice to control the game. So the guys decide to flip it. They read the book too, and start using it to mess with the women. They pretend to be everything the women want—sensitive, thoughtful, committed—but only to prove they can’t be manipulated. ‎ Source ‎But the games don’t work for long. Everyone starts to feel the weight of the lies. Real feelings get tangled in fake behavior. Hearts get broken. Friendships strain. Then one by one, each man drops the act. They stop trying to win and just tell the truth. They admit their fears, their pride, their love. ‎ ‎The movie ends with each couple coming back together, not because of a book, but because they finally show who they really are. Kevin Hart was a main character and he did an incredible job, not gonna lie. I laughed my ass so many times, I even fell off my bed laughing at one point. Hello anime lovers, I’m back with another review of an anime series. Recently, I have been watching a lot of anime related to time travel, and I’m somewhat addicted to it. I always find joy in sci-fi-related anime. But today’s anime is different. I watched this anime long ago, but I re-watched it again as I almost forgot the story. So the name of the anime series is Jujutsu Kaisen. It’s an incredible anime, and I wanted to share a glimpse with you guys.

The thumbnail is scary; I can tell already that the anime is going to be awesome. The dialogues and everything blend so well with the animation; the animation is more amazing than I recall. Mappa is on a roll; they truly deserve Studio of the Year for having such great anime. I think the trailer didn’t do the anime justice, so I would recommend watching the anime first before judging.

The story begins with a guy called Yuji Itadori. He was a simple guy, and he had friends with whom he used to hang out. They had a club where they used to call for ghosts, and in search of a haunted place, one day they discovered a box that had a finger inside it. Actually, it was cursed, and Yuji had no idea about it, but for that box, his friends were in trouble. He came to know about it through Megumi Fushiguro, who was in search of these types of things because he is a Jujutsu Sorcerer. They work to fight off spirits in order to prevent harm to humans. Yuji’s friends were in trouble because the spirits started to attack his friends, and Fushiguro told him to stay back, but Yuji meddled in because he didn’t want to lose his friends.

At one point, he ended up swallowing the cursed finger inside the box in order to save his friends. After that, Yuji became a vessel for the powerful cursed spirit, which is Sukuna. Yuji became stronger and saved his friends from the monster spirit, but in the end, he lost control as Sukuna was trying to take over his body. The story is about how Yuji struggles to survive with Sukuna inside his body and save human beings.

Well, the concept of cursed spirits and domain expansions is something unique that I have seen so far; also, the fighting styles hooked me immediately. To be honest, by the end of Season 1, I got addicted to this anime, and the character development is undeniable. Everything in this anime kept me glued to the screen. It might not be one of the perfect anime, but it’s undeniably entertaining. If you are a fan of intense battles, then this series has something special for you!

Well, Yuji, our main protagonist, was not allowed to completely dominate the anime, and that is very rarely seen. Most of the time, it is seen that his teacher, Gojo, stole the show with his mesmerizing heroic moments; many scenes can send a shiver down your spine. Even though he is a secondary character, he is still a fan-favorite character because he shines more than our protagonist. As you can see, all of the fight sequences are executed with the right usage of music and colors. This has made the anime look more watchable.

Hi movie lovers, I’ve got some news! Drum rolls….I’ve literally fallen in love with Aamir Khan movie productions. My Goodness! He’s the producer of the last movie I reviewed: “Like Stars on Earth” And many other beautiful movies like the one I’m about to review now! It’s such a masterpiece. I bet you there’s more to come as regards my future movie reviews when it comes to movies produced by Aamir Khan.

The movie I’ll be reviewing today is titled: DANGAL and it’s an Indian term for Wrestler.

PLOT SUMMARY The movie Dangal is a powerful Indian sports drama based on the real life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat. He was a former wrestler who trained his daughters to become world class wrestlers. Mahavir came from a small village in Haryana, India. It was from that small village that he emerged as a national wrestling champion with the dreams of winning gold for his country on the international stage. But due to lack of support from his family and society, he gave up wrestling to take up a normal job.

But that didn’t kill his dream of winning gold for his country. He got married and he yearned for a male child who would take up his dream and fulfill it, but he felt his dream shatter when he ended up having four daughters. Coming back from work one day, he met two boys in his house alongside their parents with the claim that his eldest daughters, Geeta and Babita had beaten them up for insulting them. Mahavir was so elated, he felt his dream coming true. And that was where the journey began.

He began training Geeta and Babita as if they were in a military zone. They woke up by 5am and when they tried making excuses because of their hair, he cut it short. The training was so hard that Geeta and Babita saw him as wicked and believed that he didn’t love them.

They suffered criticism from the village and even got teased at school. It was inevitable since that was the first time something of such was happening in the village: “girls turning to boys”.

They eventually attended a wedding secretly and when Mahavir invaded the party and gives them the dirt stare, they get scared and hide while narrating to the bride how they feel about their father’s treatment. The bride’s statement was their turning point: she told them she wished she had such a father who didn’t prepare her to be married off at an early age but craved to give her a future.

They got back home and doubled their effort and slowly, their hard work started to pay off. Geeta won state-level championships, got selected to the National Sports Academy, and eventually won gold at the Commonwealth Games. Babita also followed in her footsteps. The movie really ended on an emotional and victorious note, as Geeta finally won gold for India, thereby, fulfilling her father's dream and realizing that everything he did was out of love and belief in their potential.

MOVIE REVIEW Dangal is such a fierce movie I must say. Every scene was intense, especially the wrestling matches. I could literally feel the tension and the pressure crawling up my skin. The movie is a story about family, discipline, sacrifice and the misunderstood love of a parent. I could 100% relate to this movie because I remember how it took me years before I got to understand the reasons for my dad’s disciplinary actions and words. Geeta and Babita saw their father as controlling in the initial moments. I could feel their pain because, like me, some of us had been there too.

But as the story progresses, I began to see what Mahavir saw all along and that was potential. He saw champions in his daughters when no one else did, not even they themselves. He believed in them enough to fight society, tradition, and even their own resistance.

One emotional moment for me was when Geeta, after joining the national academy, started distancing herself from her father's teachings. She now believed she knew better now and saw her dad’s techniques as old fashioned. But after a series of defeats, she realized the value of his tough love. One night she made a call to him crying and asking for his forgiveness. It was so touching. It reminded me that sometimes, distance and experience are what it takes to understand our parents.

Aamir Khan did a good job in his role as Mahavir. Portraying the true attributes of a father with so much depth.

I would gladly give this movie a 10/10 as it does nothing but Justice to the actual objective of the story.

One of the things that causes the most intrigue in the Samurai x series is Kenshin's past. When we first start watching the anime - not the actual anime - we are surprised by the immediate context. A drifter being honored by the government captain on one hand, but at the same time pursued by assassins who challenge him to a duel only to see him spill blood.

Honestly, when I watched this anime back in the 90's era I always wanted to know what Battousai the pieceworker was like, but evidently in the anime we are only given glimpses of that, and understandably so, as it's a main thing in the plot.

However, I think that one of the best parts of the story is when we are shown, first in the manga, Kenshin's memories, which were masterfully adapted in the Ova: Tsuiokuhen, the only canonical one, and worth watching.

In this Ova we are shown what the famous Battousai was like, and let me tell you, he is nothing like the Kenshin who fights with a dull sword. In this Ova, we can see the rawness of the pieceworker in full swing, but also all the factors that lead him to become a wanderer and seek redemption.

I particularly loved it, because it is faithful to the manga, perhaps the animation lacks a little of what we know due to the studio that adapted it. That's why there are slight differences in the faces of the characters, but leaving that aside, the work they did was very complete, exquisite you could say, and if you are a fan of Rurouni Kenshin you will surely enjoy them.

Initially we are shown when Kenshin is rescued by Hiko Seijuro on that fateful night when he was also going to be killed as a child. Then the author reveals part of his training but also his thoughts and ideals, which led him to leave his master and take the path of the sword to free the people from the oppression of the Shogunate.

Particularmente me encanto, porque es fiel al manga, quizás la animación carece un poco de lo que conocemos debido al estudio que la adapto. Por eso es que hay ligeras diferencias en el rostro de los personajes, pero dejando eso de lado, el trabajo que hicieron fue muy completo, exquisito se podría decir, y si eres seguidor de Rurouni Kenshin seguramente las disfrutaras.

One has many ideas of what Kenshin might have been like in his past, but here we are shown in great detail. He was literally an assassin, hired by a group that sought the restoration of the government, a group that fit his ideals, so he joined that side and fought against the Shogunate, eliminating important people, and also facing the Shinsengumi, where we have Saito as one of the highest level captains.

At this stage of Kenshin's life there is no mercy, no mercy, only blood and death. Elements that may be shocking to the viewer or reader who is used to the Kenshin who does not kill a fly, that is why it is so shocking and spectacular.

I absolutely love movies that mix brains with heart-pounding action, and this one? Fallout is something else entirely. It’s sharp, intense, and so packed with adrenaline that once it starts, you’re not going anywhere. This isn’t just another action film. It’s smart, emotional, and thrilling from the first scene to the last. And Tom Cruise? He doesn’t just play Ethan Hunt. He is Ethan Hunt. His performance is on another level. If you enjoy films that keep you on edge and actually make you feel something, this is definitely one to add to your list.

The Storyline

The story takes you around the world, from the streets of Paris to the mountains of Kashmir. After a mission goes wrong and dangerous plutonium goes missing, Ethan Hunt and his team are thrown into a desperate race to stop nuclear disaster. But things aren’t as straightforward this time. There are secrets, shifting alliances, and a growing sense that someone they trust might be working against them.

The Plot

Everything kicks off when Ethan makes a choice. Instead of securing stolen plutonium, he saves a teammate. That one decision opens the door for the Apostles, a deadly group with ties to past enemies, to start putting a terrifying plan in motion. The CIA doesn’t trust the IMF to clean up the mess alone, so they send in a new agent, August Walker, to oversee the mission.

I’d give Mission: Impossible Fallout a strong 9.5 out of 10. It’s everything you could want in a movie thrilling, smart, emotional, and unforgettable. It’s not just something to watch. It’s something to experience.

Gene Roddenberry, the architect of Star Trek, was a man of contradictions. His vision for a utopian future free from prejudice was undeniably noble, yet his execution often veered into didacticism, as if he feared audiences might miss the point unless it was bludgeoned into them. Nowhere is this more evident than in Star Trek: The Original Series’ episode "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" (1969). While Roddenberry’s intentions were rooted in a genuine desire to confront societal ills, this instalment exemplifies his tendency to sacrifice nuance for bluntness, resulting in a story that oscillates between bold allegory and unintentional self-parody. The episode’s unyielding moral posturing, coupled with its budgetary compromises, renders it a fascinating but deeply flawed artefact of 1960s progressive messaging.

The plot begins with the USS Enterprise en route to Arrianus, a planet ravaged by plague, to perform orbital decontamination. However, this routine task is derailed by the theft of a shuttlecraft from Starbase 4. The Enterprise intercepts the vessel before it disintegrates, beaming aboard its occupant: Lokai (Lou Antonio), a humanoid whose body is bisected by stark black and white skin, one half of each pigment. Lokai, a native of the distant planet Cheron, claims to be a fugitive revolutionary, fleeing persecution by his own kind. His plea for asylum is soon complicated by the arrival of Commissioner Bele (Frank Gorshin), another Cheronian whose skin is inverted—white on one side, black on the other—who brands Lokai a terrorist responsible for millennia of chaos. Captain Kirk, ever the weary mediator, dismisses their feud as irrelevant to his mission, but Bele’s telekinetic powers force the Enterprise to divert to Cheron, where the futility of their conflict is laid bare: the planet lies in ruins, its population extinct, with only Lokai and Bele remaining to perpetuate their hatred.

Roddenberry and writer Oliver Crawford conceived the episode in the wake of 1968, a year marked by the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy, as well as widespread racial unrest in the United States. Where previous Star Trek episodes had tackled racism through metaphor, this instalment abandoned subtlety entirely. Lokai and Bele’s war, predicated solely on the inverted pigmentation of their bodies, was a direct indictment of Earthly racial divisions. Crawford’s script borrowed dialogue from contemporary civil rights debates, with Lokai accusing Bele of systemic oppression and Bele retaliating with warnings of "radical extremism." The message was clear: to an advanced civilisation like the Enterprise crew, human racism would appear as absurd as a war fought over which side of the face is dark or light. Yet in its eagerness to drive this point home, the episode’s allegory collapses under its own weight. The Cheronians’ identical appearance—their only difference being the arbitrary orientation of their skin tones—renders their hatred not just irrational but comically trivial. What might have been a profound meditation on prejudice instead resembles a morality play performed by characters whose grievances are so contrived they border on parody.

The casting of Frank Gorshin as Bele is a masterstroke. Best known as the manic Riddler from the 1960s Batman series, Gorshin brings a theatrical intensity to the role, his eyes blazing with righteous fury as he denounces Lokai’s "savagery." His performance is a masterclass in venomous grandstanding, every line delivered with the fervour of a demagogue. Antonio, by contrast, leans into Lokai’s desperation, though his character is afforded less depth, often reduced to a cipher for victimhood. Together, they embody the cyclical nature of hatred, yet the script’s lack of subtlety undermines their dynamic. The Cheronians’ conflict is presented as a fait accompli, with no exploration of historical context or cultural nuance—merely two men shouting moral platitudes at each other.

Director Jud Taylor, tasked with bringing this concept to life on a shoestring budget, deals with the constraints with ingenuity. The invisible alien ship, a cost-saving measure, is never shown, leaving its capabilities unexplained—a narrative shortcut that strains credibility. Similarly, Bele’s telekinetic hijacking of the Enterprise is treated as a deus ex machina, with no attempt to rationalise how a single individual could override Starfleet’s defences. These omissions highlight the episode’s prioritisation of message over logic. Yet Taylor’s direction isn’t without flair: the haunting projection of WWII-era bombed cities onto the Enterprise corridors during Lokai and Bele’s final confrontation is a striking visual metaphor for the devastation wrought by their feud. Alas, the sequence’s impact is diluted by its campy execution, the ghostly images appearing more like a low-budget stage effect than a profound revelation.

Let That Be Your Last Battlefield also holds a peculiar place in Star Trek lore as the first episode to introduce the Enterprise’s self-destruct mechanism—a narrative device later immortalised in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984). This procedural detail, however, is buried beneath the episode’s heavier themes, serving more as a plot convenience for Kirk to regain control of his ship than a meaningful addition to Starfleet protocol. The lack of explanation for key elements—the Cheronians’ powers, the extinction of their species, or the feasibility of the Enterprise’s mission—underscores the episode’s storytelling shortcomings. For a series that prided itself on "thinking man’s science fiction," this instalment often feels like a schematic for a more rigorous narrative.

The episode’s legacy is one of division. For some fans, it remains a landmark in television’s engagement with racism, its boldness outweighing its clumsiness. For others, it epitomises the pitfalls of didacticism, its heavy-handedness rendering the message inert. The latter critique is not without merit. By reducing racism to such an absurdly literal conceit—the idea that people would hate each other for the "wrong" half being black or white—the episode risks trivialising the very issue it seeks to condemn. It mistakes shock value for profundity, assuming that stating a truth loudly is the same as exploring it meaningfully.

Yet, for all its flaws, "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" is as a product of its time—a well-intentioned, if ham-fisted, attempt to confront America’s original sin through the lens of speculative fiction.
