By reimagining him as an omnipresent force, the film taps into a universal archetype—the unseen leader whose legend becomes a weapon against oppression. This mythologisation, however, comes at a cost: the film erases the complex ethnic realities of wartime Sarajevo, where pro-Axis Croatian Ustaše militias operated alongside German forces. The absence of these factions, replaced by a faceless "collaborationist police," reflects the Communist regime’s commitment to its "Brotherhood and Unity" ideology, which sought to downplay ethnic divisions in favour of a unified Yugoslav identity. While this simplification streamlined the narrative for international audiences, it also neutered the historical nuance, reducing a multifaceted conflict to a morality tale of occupiers versus patriots.

Krvavac, no stranger to the demands of the Partisan genre, approached Walter Defends Sarajevo with the technical precision honed during his earlier triumph, The Bridge (1969). The two films share not only a director and a lead actor (Živojinović) but also a pragmatic focus on action over ideology. Unlike the didactic tone of lesser Partisan films, which interspersed battle scenes with Communist exhortations, Walter Defends Sarajevo lets its visuals and performances carry the ideological weight. The resistance fighters are depicted as stoic professionals rather than rabid ideologues; their Communist affiliations are mentioned only once in passing. This restraint, paradoxically, amplifies the film’s emotional impact, allowing viewers to project their own ideals onto the characters. The Holocaust - which Lebović, one of the writers, survived, and which amounted to 70 percent of deaths in WW2 Sarajevo - is also briefly mentioned through words of Muslim watchmaker Sead Kapetanović (Rade Marković) who mentioned the debt to his Jewish acquaintance who got deported.

The action sequences, meticulously staged, are a masterclass in mid-20th-century filmmaking. The motorcycle chase through Sarajevo’s cobbled streets, the hand-to-hand showdown in a fog-shrouded quarry, and the climactic explosion at the end—all these scenes betray Krvavac’s deep study of Western war epics like The Guns of Navarone (1961) and Von Ryan’s Express (1965). Yet the film also owes a debt to Jean-Pierre Melville’s Army of Shadows (1969), whose claustrophobic tension and moral ambiguity are echoed in the cat-and-mouse dynamic between Pilot and Kondor. Živojinović’s performance, a blend of Gary Cooper’s laconic cool and Charles Bronson’s rugged resolve, anchors the film. Chinese audiences, starved of foreign cinema, embraced its underdog heroism and anti-imperialist ethos. Živojinović, dubbed into Mandarin, attained near-mythical status, his image adorning posters and his lines—"That is Walter"—echoed in playgrounds and public squares. The film’s success in China was no accident: its themes of grassroots resistance and collective sacrifice aligned with Maoist rhetoric, while its lack of overt Communist dogma made it palatable to a regime wary of Tito’s non-aligned Yugoslavia.

Back in Sarajevo, the film’s legacy took on a bittersweet hue. For decades, it was a staple of Yugoslav television, a shared cultural touchstone that transcended the republics’ ethnic divides. But after the Yugoslav Wars (1991–1995), its themes of unity gained a tragic resonance. The 1984 Olympic host city, once a symbol of multiethnic harmony, endured a brutal siege (1992–1996) that laid bare the fissures the film had papered over. Yet the city’s artistic community reclaimed Walter Defends Sarajevo as a testament to Sarajevo’s indomitable spirit. After Zabranjeno Pušenje’s 1984 album Das Ist Walter, Dubioza Kolektiv’s 2010 anthem Vratit će se Valter ("Walter Will Return") reimagined the film’s hero as a symbol of resistance not just against fascism but against the corruption and nationalism that plagued post-war Bosnia.

Its flaws—its historical omissions, its occasional melodrama—are eclipsed by its craftsmanship and its uncanny ability to speak to different generations and geographies. In the end, the film’s most enduring line—"That is Walter"—resonates not because it identifies a man but because it gestures toward the collective will of a people to defy oppression. Walter, like the city he defends, is less a person than an idea: indomitable, shape-shifting, and eternally alive in the imagination.

Starting the Salah break with such an action thrilled movie as Hit the third case was an interesting thing to me. The movie was full of intrigues and criminal destructiveness. Though it's full of murder and bloodbaths, the story line and the theme of the movie really moved me and I would love to watch the movie again.

The movie HIT THE THIRD CASE, is an interesting indian (Telugu Language) movie that's written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu and produced by Wall Poster Cinema.

The movie featured as its character the likes of Sakaar, who happened to be the main character and the movie protagonist, we also have in the movie, Versha a colleague to Sakaar in the HIT department of the police force, we also have Mrudula.an undercover to the mission to the Arunachal Pradesh forest who also happens to be Arjun Sakaar lover and the also, the main Antagonist of the movie and the leader of the CTK, Alpha. All these characters really played their roles to the best of their ability.

THE PLOT/REVIEW

The movie Hit the third case is such an interesting movie that started on a very good note of honoring a valiant female police officer who paid the last price of sacrificing herself to uncover a cult or secret group that are known for murder and not only that, she was also honored by the police department nationwide for saving a baby by being killed by the secret group named CTK. The name of the late female officer was ACP Dhanya. All what she was recognized for was full of selflessness and heroism which are things I believe we all must be willing to do these days to save others but, the reverse is the case as we are only selfish about things around us.

So, after the first scene, we were given a report about a police officer who was under prosecution and was later sent to jail for being found guilty of the offence he was accused to have committed.

So it's at the prison that he was saved by a fellow prisoner from being stabbed by another prisoner and this was what led to the whole storyline. The film was a narrated and flashback story of how he got imprisoned as a police officer who has sent many to jail as a gallant officer.

The question that led to this flashback was the one asked by Samuel Joseph who happened to be found guilty of human organ trafficking to a Swedish pharmaceutical company to make Viagra for the rich in the society. Though this was revealed at the end of the movie. But such an act was a very bad one and this is because it involves the taking of innocent people's life and this is actually selfishness on the part of the man called Samuel Joseph.These acts can also be found in our society today as selfish people can do anything to make wealth at the expense of other people's life. This movie really helped to expose the devilish acts of those bad people in the society.

So, it's in his narration about what got him to the prison that made Arjun Sakaar had a flashback about how he got himself involved in killing two pedophiles just to join the dark web cult organization as he would be required to kill and upload two videos of him killing two people the same way before he can join or be admitted into the group. Though, he had a good intention, but was done in a bad way.

Arjun Sakaar, was a gallant police officer who in charge of the homicide department of the police department was to investigate series of murder cases under his jurisdiction and in the course of his investigation, he got to know the source of the murder and was really after the offenders and in the process he got some of them arrested, but the death of one of the offenders at the hospital and the other at the police station led to series of protest which later got him transferred to another city, but instead of him backing off, he promised to see to the end of the dastardly act. So, he didn't allow that to affect him as he took it upon himself to fight the fight to the end. This act can be seen in a loyal and valiant officer like him, he didn't really allow his transfer to hinder him from doing the needful.

So, having made that decision, he looked for a way to get in the way of the dark web organization, but it would be difficult for him to do as a non member may not really have the chance to meet them nor attend their annual meeting.

So, for this reason, he joined them and made sure he got admitted into the group by the killings of those pedophiles I earlier mentioned. So, this killing earned him a spot and ticket in the organization's next meeting, but he would not receive the invitation message until he helped to stop an attack by a guy who also wanted to join the group at Jaipur. It's at Jaipur that he helped to rescue a victim and eventually killed the culprit.

Though he was injured, it's when he was healed from his injuries that he got invited to the annual meeting of the dark web cult organization meeting. This he earned by uploading two videos to the hidden site of the organization.

Less I forget, in his second attempt to kill the second person, he was caught by Versha at the scene of the crime. But while Versha had vowed to expose him, he narrated while he killed the man and his motive and intent of doing the killing. So, it's this story that made Versha believe him. Though his intentions were good, killing people shouldn't be an option. Aside from that, maybe Versha should have even advised him to go that route, but nothing was said after what he told Versha.

So, after his invitation to the meeting, he got prepared and informed his team and his boss at work ADGP who first questioned his joining the group, but later agreed with his motive and gave him the go ahead to go on the mission.

This his boss also provided him with an undercover agent whose name is Mrudula. Mrudula, who happened to be Arjun's lover , knew Sakaar to be a police officer but pretended not to reveal her own identity to Sakaar. But when Sakaar got to know, he got offended, but after she had explained to him, he believed him and all of them with other members of the team went on the mission having been instructed on how the mission would go. Here, we can see love at the centre of everything. Though, she hid her status from her love, but that didn't stop their love for each other.

So, getting to the place where Arjun was to meet those group of cultists that were to pick him up, he dropped all his communication gadgets and ammunition and after he had walked a little distance, he was picked up in a convoy of three cars. Though, being trailed by the team of police that followed him, he could not be found by them as the deadly group drove him to the Burmese Palace in the Arunachal forest having misled the team to other three locations. This can be seen as a smart move on the part of the dark bed cult group.

So, while looking for him, he had been transported to the Burmese palace where he was being welcomed and treated nicely, though at the events at the Burmese Palace, he was not the only one to inducted into the group as there's four others to be inducted, but because of his own mission there, he helped to searched the place and got hold of their devices which he later used against them, even when he was to be caught after the gas explosion, he conducted himself in a calm manner and he pretended not to be a police, he also killed the four newly recruited CTK members to justify himself and it's there that he also fought Diwak a police who had been caught by the group while trying to raid the other locations.

Diwak would have been killed by Arjun Sakaar, if not for the timely intervention of Alpha who found the police ID card on one of the dead newly recruited CTK members that justified Arjun not to be a police officer. This is a misplaced identity on the part of Alpha. Though, it's as a result of the smart game being played by Arjun by placing the card in the pocket of the guy that saved him from killing his fellow policeman.

So, after the event at the ring, Sakaar asked Alpha to give him an hour to question Diwak which was granted to him and it's in the space of the one hour that they mapped out their plans to rescue the hostages and also escaped. Though it's a difficult move in the mind of Diwak, but a possible move to Sakaar. After he had showed him the exit door and other strategic places in the Burmese palace, Alpha commanded everyone to converge again and they converged and it's at their latest convergence that a baby was to be killed and this was what prompted Sakaar Immediate action to rescue the hostages for the captivity of those who claimed to be fighting for freedom. What an irony of the situation at the Burmese Palace. So, having witnessed serious execution of people and that of Dhanya, Sakaar decided to stop that of the little baby and he did so with his act of valiant as he killed many of the cult groups members and rescued all the hostages. Thank God for the backup team that came at the right time to save them from being killed. Though, they have been in the forest for so long, but for the timely intervention of the Sakaar pet Vulture who led them to the scene.

So, that's how all were liberated and freed from the captivity of those who claimed to be fighting for freedom. It's after the release of these people that more light were shed on the operation of those people about how they kill and sell the organs of those killed to make Viagra and that one of those behind it had been imprisoned but still enjoying in the prison. So this was what led to Sakaar going to the prison to kill Samuel Joseph who he had confided in in the prison. That's also what's obtainable in the society today as people who are supposed to be punished for their deadly office were being treated with luxuries in the prison just because of their I'll gotten wealth.

The last scene was a scene where two people were caught to have buried a man in their truck with sand, the ACP Verrapan IPS, got them caught and apprehended them. That was a smart move from him, had it been he was not bilingual, he wouldn't have caught them, but with that, he was able to get them arrested. That's self development.

THEME

The movie was full of murder, corruption and other bad vices. Equally in the movie, we have love, loyalty, brevity, smartness, sacrifice, honor and things that can also be emulated in action.

The cinematography is clean and the presentation of the characters are top notch. The music played in the movie also embellished the movie and makes it fulfilled. What of the dancing steps, it's in order.

RATING: I will rate the movie 8/10.

Synopsis :

Devon (Meghann Fahy) s'occupe de son père malade et alcoolique toute seule. Elle tente en vain de joindre sa sœur Simone (Milly Alcock), plus jeune qu'elle, pour venir l'aider. Simone publie plutôt des photos de son nouveau lieu de travail, qui est magnifique. C'est un grand domaine au bord de l'océan et elle y est l'intendante en chef pour sa patronne Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore), qu'elle semble admirer un peu plus que de raison.

Grâce aux photos publiées et le nom de l'île, Devon décide de se rendre sur place pour parler à sa sœur.

Mon avis et petites infos :

C'est spécial. Je ne sais pas trop quoi en penser. On a certainement voulu nous faire passer un ou plusieurs message(s), comme "ne vous fiez pas aux apparences" ou "ce n'est pas parce que tu fais bien ton boulot que tu ne peux pas te faire virer", .. L'ascension est souvent longue et ardue, mais la chute est beaucoup + rapide.

Pour ce qui est du casting, j'ai cité Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy et Milly Alcock. J'y ajoute Kevin Bacon dans le rôle de Peter Kell et Felix Solis qui interprète José. Milly Alcock n'est pas encore fort connue, mais elle fait son petit bonhomme de chemin, puisqu'elle joue dans House of the Dragon (Rhaenyra Targaryen jeune) et qu'elle interprète Supergirl (DC Comics). Meghann Fahy et Felix Solis apparaissent tous les 2 dans de nombreuses séries-tv, mais dans des rôles secondaires. Je ne vous présente pas Julianne Moore et Kevin Bacon, que tout le monde connaît. Perso, je garde en mémoire le rôle de Clarisse dans Hannibal pour Julianne Moore et celui de Ren McCormack dans Footloose pour Kevin Bacon.

If you’re someone who enjoys emotional stories that leave a lasting impression, The Green Mile is a film you absolutely need to see. It’s not loud or fast-paced like most blockbusters. Instead, it slowly pulls you in with a story that’s touching, mysterious, and honestly… pretty unforgettable. I didn’t expect it to stay in my head the way it did, but here we are.

The Storyline

So, the story is told through the eyes of Paul Edgecomb a kind-hearted prison guard who works on death row during the 1930s. His job? Making sure everything runs smoothly until an inmate walks “the green mile” which is basically the path to the electric chair.

One day, a new prisoner comes in: John Coffey. He’s huge, quiet, and looks scary at first glance. But from the moment he speaks, you realize there’s something really different about him and I don’t just mean his size.

The Plot

At first, it feels like just another prison story. But then things start getting strange in a good way. John Coffey was convicted for a horrible crime, but Paul starts to wonder if he’s even guilty. Why? Because this man seems more gentle than dangerous… and then there’s the small fact that he can do things no human should be able to do. As the movie unfolds, it becomes clear that The Green Mile isn’t just about prisons or criminals. It’s about people and what happens when we choose to really look at someone instead of judging them. It’s emotional, magical, and heavy all at once.

A Man Like No Other

John Coffey is the kind of character you don’t forget. He’s big and strong but acts like a little kid kind, soft-spoken, and full of emotion. You can feel that he’s carrying some deep pain, and watching him just makes your heart ache. Michael Clarke Duncan did an amazing job with the role. I’m not even joking you feel every word he says.

I was bored and decided to watch something light to pass the time. I didn't want something with a complex plot, just something straightforward and engaging. Then I remember this tiktok I saw of a guy making Final Destination style death clips. I searched online, and sure enough, there's a new Final Destination movie. I remember the old ones being fun and straightforward, so why not? Final Destination: Bloodlines.

PLOT

Stefani keeps having this same vivid dream about her grandmother, and it is starting to affect her quality of life. So she takes a break, goes home and consults her family. Along the lines, she realised her grandmother might be crazy and stays far away from society, but she reaches out nonetheless. Her grandmother tells her something that is about to turn her life upside down.

MY THOUGHTS

I have watched a few other editions of Final Destination, and usually they're always exciting, but then we've never gotten to understand what exactly was happening and why exactly the people were dying. We just know there's one major death event that's supposed to happen, someone finds a way to stop it from happening, and then death comes back to take them out one by one. But in this one, we finally get a full storyline and get to understand why all the other people from the previous movies have been dying all along. Which I must admit doesn't make sense, but then movies like these are not meant to make sense. You watch them purely for the "thrill" of seeing some exaggerated and impossible death play out thanks to cinema magic. I am not sure it is for everyone cause of the gore, but I just found it mildly amusing to watch. It is like watching your intrusive thoughts take over, all of a sudden, everything bad that could possibly happen happens, leading to some over the top death. I must say the producers have tried a lot, I can't imagine it is easy to keep coming up with creative and gruesome ways for someone to die. The fact that they've done it for 6 movies is impressive. But I must admit, this being the final movie, I was a bit underwhelmed by the nature of a few of the deaths. There were a few which blew my mind, too, so I guess you can't be too picky with things like this.

I think I have said this before, but I'll say it again, this movie is not for everyone. If you're a fan of horror movies that aren't scary, but end up being funny, then I think you'll enjoy this. If you're not a fan of gore, you should definitely skip this one. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it, and I'll give it an 8/10.

Aquí vamos otra vez con Disney y sus remakes en adaptación real, esta vez vi a Lilo y Stitch, por un lado entiendo que Disney quiere atraer la nostalgia de los que crecieron viendo la película original del 2002 y por otro lado siento que perdieron mucho de lo que hacía especial a esa versión animada. La película no es un desastre total como algunos de los otros remakes que he visto pero tampoco es algo que me haya emocionado demasiado, no tuvo ese toque especial que recordaba. Maya Kealoha hace un trabajo decente como Lilo y realmente captura esa energía caótica de la niña, aunque a veces se nota que está actuando con un personaje invisible la mayor parte del tiempo, Sydney Agudong como Nani también está bien, aunque me pareció que no tiene la misma presencia fuerte que tenía la Nani original, pero cumple con su papel y Chris Sanders regresa para darle voz a Stitch y eso está genial porque mantiene esa familiaridad que todos conocemos.

En mi opinión Lilo y Stitch 2025 es una película que existe principalmente para vender y no porque alguien tuviera una visión creativa nueva para contar esta historia y eso se nota en cada parte de la película, tiene muchos cambios innecesarios no es qie sea la peor película que he visto este año, pero es decepcionante considerando lo especial que era la versión animada, yo creo que algunos clásicos no necesitan ser remakeados más cuando el resultado final se siente como una copia barata del original, y por supuesto que Disney tiene los recursos y el talento para hacer algo bueno no entiendo porque prefieren tomar el camino fácil de recrear algo que ya funcionaba en lugar de arriesgarse con algo nuevo y aunque Stitch se ve adorable no fue suficiente para salvar la película.
