The fight for the Dutton Ranch, their acclaimed Yellowstone, continues.

For a long time we have been waiting for the continuation of this series, many things were said, regarding one of its main protagonist, they said that he would retire, that he would not come out, the truth was hoping that it would not be yes, because without a doubt, he was the main attraction in this series, his role, marked a lot in this story.

But well, now we have to keep watching, to see how this story will end, this fight of the Dutton, without their leader, it will be difficult, to preserve their legacy, their heritage, only they will know how far they will go to fulfill their father, and keep their ranch.

Family at War

Seeing this family at war, has been the most attractive and entertaining of this series, the fight between the brothers, and against their enemies, in short, since I started watching it, I did not hesitate a moment to look at the stories, all related to this series, especially with the Duttons, who since centuries past, have lived in constant war, fighting for their home, their land, always considering themselves the sole owners of everything.

Love and hate, is what we reflect here, love for his family, for his father, but at the same time that hatred, envy, more than anything, a constant competition, there are many situations that we will see in this series, it covers a little bit of everything, perhaps that is what makes it completely different, attractive, and even reflective, in a way.

On the other hand, we have the scenography, how to leave it aside, of course we are talking about cowboys, ranchers, all this related to the countryside, nature, a beautiful place to live, I think it is one of the reasons to want to keep that land, to continue living there, producing, with their cattle, their horses, it is not easy to leave all that behind, and lose it, for someone else to come and contaminate it.

It is, as Jhon Dutton says, is the best place to die in peace, the truth I agree with him, the peace, the calm it generates, the silence, and how not to enjoy that beautiful sunrise, or sunset.

I love this kind of stories, with lots of action, drama, intensity, conflicts, they turn out to be very entertaining, too bad, well, we will not see more of the head of this family, let's wait to see how all this ends, who will end up keeping the ranch.

Hace tiempo que estamos esperando la continuación de esta serie, se dijo muchas cosas, con respecto a uno de su protagonista principal, decían que se retiraría, que no saldría, la verdad tenía la esperanza de que no fuera si, ya que sin duda, él era la mayor atracción en esta serie, su papel, marco mucho en esta historia.

Pero bueno, ahora nos toca seguir mirando, a ver como terminara esta historia, esta pelea de los Dutton, sin su líder, será difícil, lograr conservar su legado, su herencia, solo ellos sabrán hasta donde llegaran para cumplirle a su padre, y conservar su rancho.

Familia en Guerra

Ver a esta familia en guerra, ha sido lo más atractivo y entretenido de esta serie, la pelea entre los hermanos, y contra sus enemigos, en fin, desde que empecé a verla, no dude un instante, en buscar mirar las historias, todas relacionadas con esta serie, sobre todo con los Dutton, que desde siglos pasados, han vivido en constante guerra, luchando por su hogar, sus tierras, considerándose siempre los únicos dueños de todo.

Amor y Odio, es lo que nos reflejan aquí, amor por su familia, por su padre, pero a la vez ese odio, envidia, más que todo, una competencia constante, son muchas las situaciones que veremos en esta serie, abarca de todo un poco, quizás eso es lo que hace completamente diferente, atractiva, e incluso reflexiva, de cierta forma.

Por otra parte, tenemos la escenografía, como dejarla a un lado, claro estamos hablando de vaqueros, rancheros, todo esto relacionado con el campo, la naturaleza, un hermoso sitio para vivir, pienso que es una de las razones para querer mantener esa tierra, seguir viviendo allí, produciendo, con su ganado, sus caballos, no es fácil dejar todo eso atrás, y perderlo, para que venga otro a contaminarlo.

Es, como dice Jhon Dutton, es el mejor sitio para morir en paz, la verdad coincido con él, la paz, la calma que genera, el silencio, y como no disfrutar de ese hermoso amanecer, o atardecer.

A mí me encantan este tipo de historias, con mucha acción, drama, intensidad, conflictos, resultan ser muy entretenidas, lástima, bueno, no veremos más al jefe de esta familia, esperemos a ver como termina todo esto, quien se terminara quedando con el rancho.

Bien amigos, esta es mi corta opinión sobre esta serie, si no la han visto, los invito a verlas, están a tiempo...ahh recuerden ver las precuelas, les encantara también.😀

There was a time when animated movies were mostly aimed at children. Even so, when analyzed carefully, these movies always had lessons aimed at all types of audiences. One of these movies is precisely the animated movie Toy Story, a seemingly harmless adventure where toys fight for survival amid different types of adversity, but which actually hides an incredible story about the importance of a very precious asset: friendship. One of the most incredible works ever made by Disney to date.

Entertainment Weekly

Written by the trio John Lasseter, Pete Docter and Andrew Stanton, directed by Lasseter himself and released in 1995, this is the kind of movie that connects us differently with our childhood memories, where we maintained a relationship of total admiration for our favorite toys (and even with those other toys that were less favorite, but that somehow were still precious to us). It is almost a “transitional fable” about real life. However, you need to buy into the idea of the script to be able to awaken that nostalgic feeling and travel with the idea.

Cinemablend

The friendship duo formed by Woody and Buzz Lightyear is that typical friendship that no one expects to see, but that becomes a reality and usually lasts a lifetime (when it is obviously well cultivated by both sides). The representation of the friendship between them is something so true and natural that it is impossible not to remember friendships that became real in my life when I could not even imagine that they would ever happen. In the movie, the scale of the events that make Woody/Buzz become friends ends up “resembling” real-life events as well.

ABC

Many friendships are initiated and built through strange, funny, tense or even reflective events and in the movie, all of this is portrayed in unique ways, making the plot easily recognized by the audience as something engaging, fun and exciting. In particular, the friendship between Sheriff Woody and astronaut Buzz is something interesting from its turbulent beginning to its captivating end. In the midst of all this, the script always makes a point of making all the other characters orbit around them, emphasizing the importance of these friendships.

Época Negócios

Full of iconic moments, this movie has one of the best duos in cinema and even though it is an “animation developed for children”, this is the kind of project that every adult should watch. Dubbed by the duo Tom Hanks and Tim Alley, the movie has incredible technical quality, an extremely dynamic and efficient script and a very sharp direction work. Without a doubt, it is one of the best works ever made to demonstrate the power of friendship and, at the same time, how this friendship can “help” us become the best versions of ourselves.

Concurso CineTV: “Toy Story”, una lección improbable (e inesperada) de amistad.

Hubo un tiempo en que las películas animadas estaban diseñadas en su mayoría sólo para niños. Aun así, analizadas con detenimiento, estas películas siempre tuvieron lecciones dirigidas a todo tipo de público. Una de estas películas es la película de animación Toy Story, una aventura aparentemente inofensiva donde los juguetes luchan por sobrevivir en medio de diferentes tipos de adversidades, pero que en realidad esconde una increíble historia sobre la importancia de un bien muy preciado: la amistad. Uno de los trabajos más increíbles jamás realizados por Disney hasta el momento.

Escrita por el trío John Lasseter, Pete Docter y Andrew Stanton, dirigida por el propio Lasseter y estrenada en 1995, este es ese tipo de películas que nos conectan de manera diferente con nuestros recuerdos de la infancia, donde manteníamos una relación de total admiración con nuestros juguetes favoritos ( e incluso con esos otros juguetes que menos nos gustaban, pero que de algún modo seguían siendo preciados para nosotros). Es casi una “fábula de transición” sobre la vida real. Sin embargo, es necesario hacerse con la idea del itinerario para poder despertar ese sentimiento nostálgico y viajar con la idea.

La pareja de amigos formada por Woody y Buzz Lightyear es esa típica amistad que nadie espera ver, pero que se hace realidad y suele durar toda la vida (cuando obviamente está bien cultivada por ambas partes). La representación de la amistad entre ellos es algo tan verdadero y natural que es imposible no recordar amistades que se hicieron reales en mi vida cuando ni siquiera podía imaginar que alguna vez sucederían. En la película, la escala de los acontecimientos que hacen que Woody y Buzz se hagan amigos también acaban “pareciéndose” a acontecimientos de la vida real.

Muchas amistades se inician y construyen a través de eventos extraños, divertidos, tensos o incluso reflexivos y en la película, todo esto se retrata de maneras únicas, haciendo que la audiencia reconozca fácilmente la trama como algo atractivo, divertido y emocionante. En particular, la amistad entre el sheriff Woody y el astronauta Buzz es interesante desde su turbulento comienzo hasta su cautivador final. En medio de todo esto, el guión siempre se preocupa de hacer que todos los demás personajes orbiten a su alrededor, enfatizando la importancia de estas amistades.

Llena de momentos icónicos, esta película tiene uno de los mejores dúos del cine y aunque es una “animación desarrollada para niños”, este es el tipo de proyecto que todo adulto debería ver. Con la voz del dúo Tom Hanks y Tim Alley, la película tiene una calidad técnica increíble, un guión extremadamente dinámico y eficiente y un trabajo de dirección muy preciso. Sin duda, es uno de los mejores trabajos jamás realizados para demostrar el poder de la amistad y, al mismo tiempo, cómo esta amistad puede “ayudarnos” a convertirnos en las mejores versiones de nosotros mismos.

Mesmo assim, quando analisados com cautela, esses filmes sempre tinham lições voltadas para todos os tipos de públicos. Um desses filmes é justamente a animação Toy Story, uma aparentemente inofensiva aventura onde brinquedos lutam por sobrevivência em meio a diferentes tipos de adversidades, mas que na verdade esconde uma incrível história sobre à importância de um bem muito precioso: amizade. Um dos trabalhos mais incríveis já feitos pela Disney até então.

Escrito por pelo trio John Lasseter, Pete Docter e Andrew Stanton, dirigido pelo próprio Lasseter e lançado no ano de 1995, este é aquele tipo de filme que nos conecta diferente com nossas lembranças da infância, onde nós mantínhamos uma relação de total admiração com nossos brinquedos favoritos (e até mesmo com aqueles outros brinquedos menos favoritos, mas que de alguma forma ainda eram preciosos para nós). É quase uma “fábula transitória” sobre à vida real. No entanto, é preciso comprar a ideia do roteiro para conseguir despertar esse sentimento nostálgico e viajar na ideia.

A dupla de amigos formada por Woody e Buzz Lightyear é aquela típica amizade que ninguém espera ver, mas que se torna uma realidade e costuma durar por toda uma vida (quando obviamente é bem cultivada por ambos os lados). A representação da amizade entre eles é algo tão verdadeiro e natural que é impossível não lembrar de amizades que se tornaram reais em minha vida quando eu nem podia cogitar que algum dia elas aconteceriam. No filme, a escala dos acontecimentos que fazem Woody/Buzz se tornarem amigos acaba se “assemelhando” também aos fatos da vida real.

Muitas amizades são iniciadas e construídas através de eventos estranhos, engraçados, tensos ou até mesmo reflexivos e no filme, tudo isso é retratado de maneiras únicas, fazendo com que à trama seja facilmente reconhecida pelo público como algo envolvente, divertido e emocionante. Em especial, a relação de amizade entre o xerife Woody e o astronauta Buzz é algo interessante desde o seu início turbulento até o seu final cativante. No meio disso tudo, o roteiro sempre faz questão de fazer todos os outros personagens orbitarem acerca deles, enfatizando a importância dessas amizades.

Repletos de momentos icônicos, este filme tem uma das melhores duplas do cinema e mesmo sendo uma “animação desenvolvida para crianças”, esse é o tipo de projeto que todo adulto deveria assistir. Dublado pela dupla Tom Hanks e Tim Alley, o filme tem uma qualidade técnica incrível, um roteiro extremamente dinâmico e eficiente e um trabalho de direção bastante afiado. Sem dúvidas, é um dos melhores trabalhos já feitos para demonstrar o poder de uma amizade e, ao mesmo tempo, de como essa amizade pode nos “ajudar” a nos tornarmos nas melhores versões de nós mesmos.

Eternal youth is one of man's unattainable desires. Looking young without signs of time is more important than feeling good and behind this need there are emporiums of cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries and a variety of plastic surgery and aesthetics professionals who earn billions to satisfy this need. Who wouldn't want to stop time and paralyze wrinkles, or better yet, remove them.

For years science has been looking for the holy grail of eternal youth, being the main interested celebrities, influencers and millionaires, these would be willing to pay anything, just to look good, but to what extent would they be willing to get it, this is the film that today I want to review, Level 16 is a science fiction thriller that will leave you glued to the screen for 102 minutes.

La eterna juventud es uno de los deseos inalcanzables del hombre. Verse joven sin señales del tiempo es más importante que sentirse bien y detrás de esa necesidad hay emporios de industrias cosméticas, farmacéuticas y variedad de profesionales de la cirugía plástica y de la estética que ganan miles de millones para satisfacer esa necesidad. ¿Quién no va a querer detener el tiempo y paralizar las arrugas?, o mejor aún, quitarlas.

Durante años la ciencia ha buscado el santo grial de la juventud eterna, siendo los principales interesados famosos, influencer y millonarios, estos estarían dispuestos a pagar lo que sea, con tal de verse bien, pero hasta qué punto estarían dispuestos para obtenerlo, de esto trata la película que hoy quiero reseñar, Nivel 16 es un thriller de ciencia ficción que te dejará pegado a la pantalla por 102 minutos.

It is set in a kind of boarding school, orphanage or reformatory all in one, at first I did not identify which of the three was, first I thought it was a boarding school for girls because of the educational regime, the standards and rules they all had to follow, but then I thought it was a prison and that they were paying a sentence for the treatment they received and I was not so wrong; however, it was not entirely true, it was about some girls without a family who wanted to be adopted and have a real family. And because of their need to be accepted and adopted, they followed the rules to the letter in order to obtain the great prize "to be the chosen one". This happened when they reached level 16.

These young girls arrived at this prison that looked like a boarding school when they were very small. It is not known if they were kidnapped from their real families, which would be the hypothesis that fits in this thriller: that is left to the imagination of the viewer. These young girls are taking on indoctrinated tasks in every sense, forced to watch the same movie over and over again, to wear the same clothes that were a dull and gray uniform, to do housework without complaining and to dope themselves with a medicine that they were led to believe kept them pure and unblemished.

For these young girls to think about their lives and analyze their surroundings was a sin, they could not ask questions and lived a fantasy, every time they went up a level they were given a small bonus to motivate them to remain obedient, such as a nice dress to wear on a night out, or some special food. Once they reach level 16, the suspense begins. The protagonist begins to reveal herself and stops taking the medicine that kept her asleep at night, and as she became more aware of her surroundings, she learned everything that was going on.

Está ambientada en una especie de internado, orfanato o reformatorio todo en uno, al principio no identifiqué cuál de los tres era, primero pensé que era un internado de señoritas por el régimen educativo, las normas y reglas que debían seguir todas, pero luego pensé que era una cárcel y que estaban pagando una condena por los tratos que recibían y no estaba tan equivocada; sin embargo, no era del todo verídico, trataba de unas niñas sin familia que deseaban ser adoptadas y tener una familia de verdad. Y por su misma necesidad de ser aceptadas y adoptadas, es que seguían las reglas al pie de la letra para obtener el gran premio “ser la escogida”. Esto ocurría cuando llegaban al nivel 16.

Vamos, por parte, estas jóvenes llegaban a esta cárcel que parecía internado siendo muy pequeña. No se sabe si fueron secuestradas de sus familias verdaderas, qué sería la hipótesis que encaja en este thriller: eso lo dejan a imaginación del espectador. Estas jóvenes van asumiendo tareas adoctrinadas en todo sentido, las obligaban a ver la misma película una y otra vez, a usar la misma ropa que era un uniforme sin gracia y gris, hacer labores domésticas sin quejarse y a doparse con una medicina que les hacían creer que las mantenía puras y sin manchas.

Para estas jóvenes pensar en su vida y analizar su entorno era un pecado, no podían hacer preguntas y vivían una fantasía, cada vez que subían a un nivel les daban una pequeña gratificación para motivarlas a seguir siendo obedientes, como un vestido lindo para que usaran en una noche, o algún alimento especial. Una vez que llegan al nivel 16, inicia el suspenso. La protagonista comienza a revelarse y deja de tomar la medicina que la mantenía dormida en las noches y, al estar más atenta de su entorno, se enteró de todo lo que sucedía.

All the young girls were being used as donors without knowing it, and the families that were supposedly adopting them did not want them, but their skin, especially their faces. I think you can already imagine where this whole story comes from, which honestly I do not see it as utopian, if there is money you can buy whatever your vanity dreams, this film ends with a strong and shocking scene that I will not tell you, but it is the one that will leave you reflecting on deadly sins such as pride, vanity, ambition.

It is a good movie, but it is not excellent either, it has its script details and sometimes gives the impression that it was made with low budget, the special effects that were used in the bloody scenes were regular, if I had to give it a score I give it a 7 / 10, since the argument I liked and the interpretation of the young protagonist I connected with the character.

Todas las jóvenes eran usadas como donantes sin saberlo, y las familias que supuestamente las adoptaban no las querían a ellas, sino a su piel, especialmente su rostro. Creo que ya te imaginas por donde viene toda esta historia, que sinceramente no la veo tan utópica, si hay dinero puedes comprar lo que tu vanidad sueñe, esta película termina con una escena fuerte e impactante que no te voy a decir, pero es la que te dejará reflexionando sobre pecados capitales como el orgullo, la vanidad, ambición.

Es una buena película, pero tampoco es excelente tiene sus detalles de guion y a veces da la impresión que fue hecha con bajo presupuesto, los efectos especiales que se usaron en las escenas sangrientas estuvieron regulares, si tuviera que darle una puntuación le doy un 7 / 10, ya que el argumento me gustó y la interpretación de la joven protagonista me conecto con el personaje.

Synopsis: A group of competent journalists specialized in documenting episodes involving wars crosses a part of the United States to fulfill a mission while a civil war takes place and “embraces” the entire nation.

In a dystopian reality, any type of cinematic narrative can be considered true based on the ideas that are most pertinent to bring the script to life. In the case of this movie, in addition to this prerogative existing, it is based on facts that could really have happened in real life and that is precisely what makes this movie so significant in so many spheres. Set within American soil, the chaos of the civil war arrives and brings with it truly devastating consequences that will be measurable as time goes by. The creative freedom over a project of this magnitude is something provocative, because it touches on many wounds. American patriotism reveals itself as unlimited stupidity, something that is not so far from the current reality.

Cinoche

Trying to get an exclusive interview with the President of the United States before he is killed (because he is “trapped” in the White House to stay alive amidst the chaos of a civil war that is taking place), a team of journalists is in a “race against time” and faces a series of unexpected adversities to accomplish this mission. The danger is imminent, and they spare no effort to reach their final destination before it is too late. However, the road in the middle of the war holds some even more suffocating surprises along the unknown path. The feeling of doubt hangs in the air at all times, for different reasons, bringing other problems (and it is precisely here that a large part of the conflicts that shake the psychological health of these journalists occur).

I could easily describe this script as a kind of “war road movie” (a great example, by the way). A good part of the plot (which is apparently simple, but very branched out in its different objectives) takes place in the middle of the road. The interspersed episodes that are fully connected amidst all the gradual political confusion that is happening are presented in isolated ways, but they complement each other by having their relevance treated in a very assertive way, delivering to the public a very attractive journalistic density. The climate of tension involving the photojournalism side is captured with efficient framing, helping to fragment the public's perspectives in the midst of so many traumatic events of great impact.

The New York Times

While there is a linearity in the events that support the main plot, the elements that led to it are not presented so clearly. There are only small pieces of information scattered throughout the script, and you have to be careful not to miss all these details, which are fundamental to understanding how that civil war ended up creating the socio-political-cultural chaos that is seen on screen in such an overwhelming way. The team of journalists has the most relevant weight because it is through them that the audience is thrown into the narrative in a more brutal and emotional way. Among tense, violent and some more boring moments, the script is executed with good insight (especially if you consider only the journalistic core... which has distinct layers within its own group).

Kristen Dunst and Wagner Moura are the protagonists. Alongside them, in a more secondary role (but equally of great importance), is Cailee Spaeny. The three are essential for the development of the narrative to happen for different reasons. Dunst is the leader, and plays a more experienced role because she is the journalist with the most knowledge on the subject. Moura has an explosive personality, and works as a “counterbalance” to Dunst’s character’s personality. Meanwhile, Spaeny is a budding journalist looking for inspiration within this special group. The supporting characters end up not being that important, although they are “functional” within this package. Overall, there are no exceptional performances here, but they are all believable enough within each proposal.

WIRED

Although there is no narrative depth about the respective personal stories of each character (which I personally didn't like very much because it ended up “distancing” me a little from them as a viewer, preventing me from creating greater empathy with them and their respective professional causes), the movie delivers exactly what it sets out to do: give the audience a minimalist war journalistic experience, with brief intimate touches and a level of immersion full of suspense, sprinkled with graphic violence with a high degree of realism (especially in its third act, where everything was intensified with even greater levels of density, suspense and political reflection). There is a dialogue promoted by the soundtrack that “envelopes” the terrorism presented with skill.

In the midst of a central government that is collapsing, the new American nation is experiencing something never seen before. The technical production does its utmost to convey this feeling of imminent chaos, and when it actually arrives, there is a true pyrotechnic spectacle full of gunshots and explosions everywhere (generating a lot of destruction and a bloodbath that leaves a trail of limitless violence). A very well-done job, full of practicality in its effects, demonstrating that A24, despite having spent a lot of money here, opted for a more realistic and visceral essence. This was another great positive point of the movie, because it ends up being something rawer and more sentimental (something that totally matches the atmosphere established within the project since its initial, more tense moments).

The Direct

Written and directed by Alex Garland (who, by the way, deserves much praise for his work in both roles), Civil War is a futuristic portrait of a politically failed society, but it should not be seen that way because in the not-too-distant future we could be experiencing something very similar (or even worse). Although the general context provides a subtle approach to many other subjects, the focus falls entirely on the group of journalists (which sometimes becomes somewhat boring), demonstrating that information is still a great source of power. This movie is a convincing “journalistic” experience, and it has the impact to trigger good debates because if it is “dissected” in its entirety, it will be easy to see how important the discussions that are “within” it are.

CRÍTICA DE PELÍCULA: “Civil War” (2024)

Sinopsis: Un grupo de competentes periodistas especializados en documentar episodios bélicos cruza una parte de Estados Unidos para cumplir una misión mientras se desarrolla una guerra civil que “abraza” a toda la nación.

Dentro de una realidad distópica, cualquier tipo de narrativa cinematográfica puede considerarse verdadera en función de las ideas que sean más pertinentes para darle vida al guión. En el caso de esta película, además de existir esta prerrogativa, se basa en hechos que realmente podrían haber sucedido en la vida real y eso es precisamente lo que hace de esta película algo tan significativo en tantos ámbitos. Ambientada en suelo americano, llega el caos de la guerra civil y trae consigo consecuencias realmente devastadoras que sólo podrán medirse a medida que avanza el tiempo. La libertad creativa en un proyecto de esta magnitud es provocativa, porque toca muchas heridas. El patriotismo estadounidense se revela como una estupidez ilimitada, algo que no está tan lejos de la realidad actual.

Intentando conseguir una entrevista exclusiva con el Presidente de los Estados Unidos antes de que lo maten (porque está “atrapado” en la Casa Blanca para sobrevivir en medio del caos de una guerra civil en curso), un equipo de el periodista enfrenta una serie de adversidades inesperadas y esta en una “carrera contra el tiempo” para lograr esta misión. El peligro es inminente y no escatiman esfuerzos para llegar a su destino final antes de que sea demasiado tarde. Sin embargo, el camino a través de la guerra depara algunas sorpresas aún más asfixiantes a lo largo del camino desconocido. El sentimiento de duda flota en el aire en todo momento, por diferentes motivos, trayendo otros problemas (y es precisamente aquí donde se producen gran parte de los conflictos que afectan la salud psicológica de estos periodistas).

Fácilmente podría describir este guión como una especie de “road movie bélica” (un gran ejemplo, por cierto). Buena parte de la trama (aparentemente sencilla, pero muy ramificada en sus diferentes objetivos) se desarrolla en mitad del camino. Los episodios intercalados que están plenamente conectados en medio de toda la paulatina confusión política que está sucediendo se presentan de manera aislada, pero se complementan al tratar su relevancia de manera muy asertiva, entregando al público una densidad periodística muy atractiva. El clima de tensión que involucra la vertiente del periodismo fotográfico se captura con un encuadre eficiente, ayudando a fragmentar las perspectivas del público en medio de tantos eventos traumáticos de gran impacto.

Aunque hay una linealidad en los acontecimientos que sustentan la trama principal, los elementos que la intensifican no se presentan con tanta claridad. Hay poca información dispersa en el guión, y hay que tener cuidado de no perdernos todos estos detalles, que son fundamentales para entender cómo aquella guerra civil acabó creando el caos sociopolítico-cultural que se ve en pantalla en semejante película. manera abrumadora. El equipo de periodistas tiene el peso más relevante porque es a través de ellos que el público se introduce en la narrativa de una manera más brutal y emotiva. Los tres son esenciales para que el desarrollo de la narrativa se dé por diferentes motivos. Dunst es la líder y desempeña un papel con más experiencia ya que es la periodista con mayor conocimiento sobre el tema. Moura tiene una personalidad explosiva y funciona como “contrapeso” a la personalidad del personaje de Dunst. Mientras que Spaeny es un periodista en etapa inicial que busca inspiración dentro de este grupo especial. Los personajes secundarios terminan no siendo tan importantes, aunque “funcionales” dentro de este paquete. En general no hay aquí actuaciones excepcionales, pero todas son suficientemente creíbles dentro de cada propuesta.

Si bien no hay profundidad narrativa sobre las respectivas historias privadas de cada personaje (lo cual no me gustó particularmente porque terminó "alejándome" un poco de ellos como espectador, impidiéndome crear una mayor empatía con ellos y sus respectivos causas profesionales), la película ofrece exactamente lo que se propone: ofrecer al público una experiencia periodística de guerra minimalista, con breves toques íntimos y un nivel de inmersión lleno de suspenso mezclado con violencia gráfica con un alto grado de realismo (especialmente en es tercer acto, donde todo se intensificó con niveles aún mayores de densidad, suspenso y reflexión política). Hay un diálogo promovido por la banda sonora que “envuelve” el terrorismo hábilmente presentado.

En medio de un gobierno central que se desmorona, la nueva nación estadounidense está experimentando algo nunca antes visto. La producción técnica hace todo lo posible para transmitir esta sensación de caos inminente, y cuando realmente llega, hay un verdadero espectáculo pirotécnico lleno de disparos y explosiones por todas partes (generando mucha destrucción y un baño de sangre que deja un rastro de violencia sin límites). Un trabajo muy bien hecho, lleno de practicidad en sus efectos, demostrando que A24, a pesar de haber gastado mucho dinero aquí, optó por una esencia más realista y visceral. Este fue otro gran punto positivo de la película, porque termina siendo algo más crudo y más sentimental (algo que coincide completamente con la atmósfera instalada dentro del proyecto desde sus momentos iniciales más tensos).

Escrita y dirigida por Alex Garland (quien, por cierto, merece muchos elogios por el trabajo que realizó en ambos papeles), Civil War es un retrato futurista de una sociedad políticamente fallida, pero no debe verse así porque En un futuro no muy lejano es posible que estemos viviendo algo muy similar (o incluso peor). A pesar de que el contexto general aporta un enfoque sutil a muchos otros temas, el foco recae completamente en el grupo de periodistas (lo que a veces resulta algo tedioso), demostrando que la información sigue siendo una gran fuente de poder. CRÍTICA DE FILME: “Guerra Civil” (2024)

Sinopse: Um grupo de competentes jornalistas especializados em documentar episódios envolvendo guerras atravessa uma parte dos Estados Unidos para cumprir uma missão enquanto uma guerra civil acontece e “abraça” toda à nação.

Dentro de uma realidade distópica, qualquer tipo de narrativa cinematográfica pode ser considerada como verdadeira baseando-se nas ideias que são mais pertinentes para dar vida ao roteiro. No caso deste filme, além dessa prerrogativa existir, ela é baseada em fatos que realmente poderiam ter acontecido na vida real e é justamente isso que torna este filme em algo tão significativo em tantas esferas. Ambientado dentro do solo americano, o caos da guerra civil chega e traz consigo consequências realmente devastadoras que são poderão ser mensuradas à medida em que o tempo for avançando. A liberdade criativa sobre um projeto dessa magnitude é algo provocante, porque toca em muitas feridas. O patriotismo americano se revela como uma estupidez ilimitada, algo que não está tão longe assim da realidade atual.

Tentando conseguir uma entrevista exclusiva com o presidente dos Estados Unidos antes que ele seja morto (porque ele está “encurralado” na Casa Branca para se manter vivo em meio ao caos de uma guerra civil que está acontecendo), uma equipe de jornalistas enfrenta uma série de inesperadas adversidades e uma “corrida contra o tempo” para conseguir realizar esta missão. O perigo é iminente, e eles não medem esforços para chegar até o seu destino final antes que seja tarde demais. No entanto, a estrada em meio a guerra reserva algumas surpresas ainda mais sufocantes pelo caminho desconhecido. O sentimento de dúvida paira no ar a todo momento, por diferentes razões, trazendo outros problemas (e é precisamente aqui que acontece uma grande parte dos conflitos que abala a saúde psicológica desses jornalistas).

Facilmente, eu poderia descrever este roteiro como uma espécie de “road movie de guerra” (um ótimo exemplar, aliás). Uma boa parte da trama (que é aparentemente simples, mas muito ramificada em seus diferentes objetivos) acontece no meio da estrada. Os episódios intercalados que vão sendo totalmente conectados em meio à toda confusão política gradual que está acontecendo são apresentados de maneiras isoladas, mas eles se auto complementam por terem as suas relevâncias tratadas de uma maneira bem assertiva, entregando ao público uma densidade jornalística bastante atraente. O clima de tensão envolvendo o lado do jornalismo fotográfico é capturado com enquadramentos eficientes, ajudando a fragmentar as perspectivas do público no meio de tantos acontecimentos traumáticos de grandes impactos.

Apesar de haver uma linearidade nos acontecimentos que sustentam à trama principal, os elementos que a escalaram não são apresentados tão claramente. Há apenas pequenas informações espalhadas dentro do roteiro, e preciso estar atento para não perder todos estes detalhes, que são fundamentais para entender como aquela guerra civil acabou criando o caos sócio-político-cultural que é visto na tela de uma maneira tão avassaladora. A equipe de jornalistas tem o peso mais relevante porque é através deles que o público é jogado para dentro da narrativa de um jeito mais brutal e emocional. Entre momentos tensos, violentos e alguns mais entediantes, o roteiro é executado com boa perspicácia (principalmente se for considerado só o núcleo jornalístico... que tem camadas distintas dentro do seu próprio grupo).

Embora não haja um aprofundamento narrativo sobre as respectivas estórias particulares de cada personagem (o que eu particularmente não gostei muito porque acabou me “afastando” um pouco deles enquanto telespectador, evitando que eu criasse uma maior empatia com eles e com suas respectivas causas profissionais), o filme entrega exatamente tudo aquilo o que se propõe a fazer: entregar ao público uma experiência jornalística de guerra minimalista, com breves toques intimistas e um nível de imersão repleto de suspense regado à violência gráfica com alto grau de realismo (em especial no seu terceiro ato, onde tudo foi intensificado com níveis ainda maiores de densidade, suspense e reflexão política). Há uma interlocução promovida pela trilha sonora que “envelopa” o terrorismo apresentado com habilidade.

No meio de um governo central que está ruindo, a nova nação americana está experimentando algo nunca visto antes. A produção técnica se esforça ao máximo para entregar essa sensação de caos iminente, e quando ele de fato chega, há um verdadeiro espetáculo pirotécnico cheio de tiros e explosões para todos os lados (gerando muita destruição e um banho de sangue que deixa um rastro de violência sem limites). Um trabalho muito bem feito, cheio de praticidade nos seus efeitos, demonstrando que a A24 apesar de ter gasto dinheiro alto aqui, optou por uma essência mais realista e visceral. Esse foi um outro grande ponto positivo do filme, porque ele acaba sendo algo mais cru e mais sentimental (algo que combina totalmente com o clima instalado dentro do projeto desde os seus momentos iniciais mais tensos).

Escrito e dirigido por Alex Garland (que aliás, merece muitos elogios pelo trabalho feito em ambas as funções), Guerra Civil é um retrato futurista de uma sociedade politicamente fracassada, mas que não deve ser encarado dessa maneira porque em um futuro não muito distante nós poderemos estar vivenciando algo muito parecido (ou até pior). Apesar do contexto geral trazer uma abordagem sutil sobre muitos outros assuntos, o foco recai por completo sobre o grupo de jornalistas (o que às vezes se torna algo entediante), demonstrando que a informação ainda é uma grande fonte de poder. Esse filme é uma experiência “jornalística” convincente, e que tem um impacto para desencadear bons debates porque se ele for “dissecado” por inteiro, será fácil notar o quão importante são as discussões que estão “dentro” dele.

Magnificent miniseries that I stumbled upon a few days ago on streaming platforms. Based on tragic real events, adaptation of a successful book that manages to draw a portrait of the armed conflict in Ireland.

Politics and religion are the causes of so many misfortunes since we started to have conscience and to organize ourselves. When they are combined, the result has a greater magnitude. Look at the state of the world today, armed conflicts in many places, people suffering the misfortunes of wars that will be centuries old.

The miniseries follows the story of Dolours Price and her sister Marian, who come from a family that has fought for the freedom of their country, and end up joining the IRA and participating in the armed struggle whose scars have not healed.

Magnífica miniserie con la que me topé hace unos días en las plataformas de streaming. Basada en trágicos hechos reales, adaptación de un exitoso libro que consigue dibujar un retrato del conflicto armado en Irlanda.

La política y la religión son las causas de tantas desgracias desde que empezamos a tener conciencia y a organizarnos. Cuando se combinan el resultado tiene una magnitud mayor. Miren cómo está el mundo hoy, conflictos armados en muchos lugares, gente sufriendo las desgracias de guerras que darán origen incluso a varios siglos de antigüedad.

La miniserie sigue la historia de Dolours Price y su hermana Marian, que proceden de una familia que ha luchado por la libertad de su país, y acaban uniéndose al IRA y participando en la lucha armada cuyas cicatrices no han sanado.

Dolours in real life was the wife of the great actor Stephen Rea, whom there is evidently an actor playing him in the mini-series, which takes place over three decades. Dolours fue en la vida real la esposa del gran actor Stephen Rea, a quien evidentemente interpreta un actor en la miniserie, que transcurre a lo largo de tres décadas. Los años setenta, ochenta y noventa, cuando se consigue el alto el fuego. Es una adaptación de un Bets Seller que cuenta hechos reales y muestra muchas mentiras, sobre todo las del famoso Gerry Adams, líder del ala política del IRA, que sigue negando haber pertenecido a la organización, cuando fue uno de sus dirigentes y el causante de muchas desgracias.

Los hechos narrados dejan claro cómo la mayoría de estas causas violentas, que nacen en un principio legítimamente por personas que buscan la libertad, derivan en organizaciones igual de opresoras y criminales que los gobernantes. Es en la época de nuestra juventud cuando somos más rebeldes y soñadores. Creemos en muchas tonterías. Justicia, libertad. Es la época en la que pensamos que un mundo de igualdad y felicidad es posible. Pero la realidad siempre nos dará una bofetada.

I think one of the biggest mistakes is that these organizations end up hurting their own sympathizers or people outside of all this. instead of focusing on screwing those in power, they hurt innocent people, which in the end takes its toll on them.

In the evolution of Dolours' character we see the changes. When time passes and he matures, when he realizes that there is a lot of lies in all the fights. When after suffering the consequences of his terrible acts, he sees the world differently. When he feels that nothing changes after having given almost everything for a cause.

The effects of war affect everyone. Victims and perpetrators will always have to live with trauma and loss. Once again it becomes clear that in a war there are no winners. In the end, everyone is a victim and even if peace agreements are reached, hatred will not disappear.

I loved the cast, I hadn't seen anything about Lola Petticrew, who plays the young Dolorus. There is double casting for several characters, as the story takes place over three decades. The setting is very neat and the story engages.

Creo que uno de los mayores errores es que estas organizaciones acaban perjudicando a sus propios simpatizantes o a gente ajena a todo esto. en vez de centrarse en joder a los que están en el poder, perjudican a gente inocente, lo que al final les pasa factura.

En la evolución del personaje de Dolours vemos los cambios. Cuando pasa el tiempo y madura, cuando se da cuenta de que hay mucha mentira en todas las peleas. Cuando después de sufrir las consecuencias de sus terribles actos, ve el mundo de otra manera. Cuando siente que nada cambia después de haberlo dado casi todo por una causa.

Los efectos de la guerra afectan a todos. Víctimas y victimarios siempre tendrán que convivir con el trauma y la pérdida. Una vez más se pone de manifiesto que en una guerra no hay vencedores. Al final, todos son víctimas y aunque se alcancen acuerdos de paz, el odio no desaparecerá.

Me encantó el reparto, no había visto nada de Lola Petticrew, que interpreta a la joven Dolours. Hay doble reparto para varios personajes, ya que la historia transcurre en tres décadas. La ambientación está muy cuidada y la historia engancha.

Don't Move is a movie that was recently released on Netflix and, although it doesn't have a very high score by critics, for me it was good enough to get to the end and leave me satisfied, so I give it a score of 8 /10.

Se trata de una mujer que decide subir a lo alto de una montaña con una vista maravillosa, una vez que está en la cima comienza a tener pensamientos suicidas, porque está sufriendo la pérdida de su único hijo qué ocurrió en ese mismo lugar y subió con la intención de matarse, pero sus planes cambian cuando la asusta la presencia de un hombre quién comienza hablarle tratando de persuadirla, logrando su objetivo y descendiendo ambos por la montaña. 

En este momento ya me había sorprendido la película porque no me esperaba que la protagonista quisiera suicidarse, luego me imagine que surgirá un romance entre estos personajes,  eso era lo que la protagonista también quería 😅, pero ella no se esperaba que ese amable hombre que le acababa de salvar la vida se convertiría en su verdugo y qué minutos después sufriría de un secuestro y una persecución hasta el final del día. Al principio creí que era un secuestro normal y corriente y no fue así. Resulta que este hombre usaba una inyección paralizante y era un asesino en serie.

Su título no te muevas tiene muchos significados durante la trama: el primero es el método qué utiliza el secuestrador paralizando sus víctimas y el segundo es que gracias a que ella no podía moverse también logró esconderse en varias oportunidades y salvar su vida, pero es una película con muchos giros inesperados que te mantiene atento, por qué aunque esta mujer estaba paralizada pudo escapar varias veces como también tuvo que pedirle ayuda al mismo secuestrador para seguir con vida aunque parezca un poco confuso lo que estoy diciendo y tal vez no lo puedan entender, tienen que ver la película para que lo comprendan.

There were moments where I thought it was all going to end, but it continued. From the beginning of the film until the end, suspense and intrigue were present.

Its denouement was also unexpected, because they hint that they could make a second part, closing with some black humor and a thought of reflection. I didn't like its ending so much, but I felt it had a good closure. It is a production that in its environment most of it is in nature, it has few characters and an outstanding acting quality. I should mention that some scenes are bloody and have some gore, but they are few.

I liked it and it will stay in my memory for a long time, I recommend it as an option to accelerate the pulse. From it I learned that we appreciate life more when someone else wants to take it away from us and that giving up is never an option, you have to find the courage to face anything, no matter how dangerous it may be.

Esta mujer que quería morir en un principio, se aferró a la vida, escapando con un ingenio sorprendente, se lanzó a un río pudiendo ahogarse, consiguió ayuda sin mover un dedo ni poder hablar, parece mucha ficción; sin embargo, todo quedó bien argumentado. Hubo momentos donde creí que ya todo iba a acabar, pero continuaba. Desde el principio de la película hasta el final, el suspenso y la intriga estuvieron presentes.

Su desenlace también fue inesperado, porque dan a entender que pudieran hacer una segunda parte, cerrando con algo de humor negro y un pensamiento de reflexión. No me gustó tanto su final, pero sentí que tuvo un buen cierre. Es una producción que en su ambiente la mayor parte está en la naturaleza, posee pocos personajes y una calidad interpretativa sobresaliente. Debo mencionar que algunas escenas son sangrientas y tienen algo de gore, pero son pocas. 

Me gustó y se quedará un buen rato en mi memoria, se las recomiendo como una opción para acelerar el pulso. De ella aprendí que apreciamos más la vida cuando otro nos la quiere arrebatar y que rendirse nunca es una opción, hay que sacar el coraje para enfrentar cualquier cosa por peligrosa que sea.
