Everyday life's hardship of immortals in Japan. They have no human rights and the "government" does cruel unethical inhuman experiments on them, using torture extensively.
Dynamic story, full of action. Gets slightly worse as it develops. Very supernatural concept of immortality. Unimpressive graphics.
Mildly entertaining. Main problem is struggle between "peaceful" group of immortals versus militant group of immortals pushing back against hunt and experimentation.
The show is infused with propaganda but I suppose nothing less is expected from "Netflix original series"...
Against all odds, protagonist works with his torturers against(!) immortals who try to fight for liberties and rights. Of course, freedom-fighting immortals are blackwashed in the end. Almost always, immortals are referred to as non-humans (de-humanising group of people).
One of my first anime that I saw that were not the traditional ones like Dragon Ball, Naruto, Pokemon, Digimon, Inuyasha, among others, was Ajin, an anime that to be honest was not one of my favorite genres, but it really surprised me and for the better. This production is an adaptation of the manga of the same name created by Gamon Sakurai and Tsuina Miura. Ajin is of the genre of horror, mystery, supernatural and even psychological suspense, being this very different from what we usually see, which I think is quite positive, to see new things with themes that perhaps we think we will not like, but in the end if we end up convincing us.
I watched this series online, the first broadcast was in 2016 and the same is available on Netflix platform. The anime Ajin is about Kei Nagai, a young man studying in high school in Japan, who is an Ajin, as he possesses a supernatural creature that normally kills humans, since they hate them. Some humans possess immortal beings, who are pursued by the government, who try to study them to learn more about these supernatural beings that are in the form of a human but totally black. They give certain abilities to their possessors, such as that they cannot die, and they can defend their bearers in a battle.
A very particular plot that I had not seen before in any other anime and what strikes me most is that it is not only focused on Kei's perspective, but also on the side of other characters who try to make sense of what they do, to convince that what they do is the right thing to do. Particularly our protagonist (Kei) does not hate humans, as the other Ajin bearers do, but rather wants to protect normal humans. On the other hand, we have the police who marry the Ajin to investigate their nature and how to use them for the benefit of humanity and how to obtain immortality.
Ajin, an animated TV series where there are no good guys and bad guys, as we usually see in anime, where the good characters fight with the bad guys, on the contrary, here we can say that everyone has something bad in what they do, just that they do it for a reason and for their own survival. In the anime we have a good amount of main and secondary characters. The bad thing I saw in this production was that some secondary characters, despite being interesting in the story, came out few times, even once and then disappeared, so I think that these characters were wasted to enrich the story much more. Among them we have Kaito who is Kei's best friend and who, if I remember correctly, appeared only once, at least in the first season which was the one I saw out of the two that exist as far as I understand.
This anime has a very interesting story where we see how some people try to be accepted in society, but due to the fear of being different, a war for survival begins. The plot seems to me that it is not perfect, but at least it is not like the ones we usually see in other anime, that's why I liked it. The animation I must say that I found it quite strange at first, it was not one of my favorites, I feel that it is a little rough, but finally I ended up adapting, there are positive aspects such as the gestures of the characters and movements during the battle, is what I can highlight in this aspect. The design of the characters is quite correct.
By this I do not mean that the animation is bad, because it is not, just that I had not seen a 3D CGI style, at least at the time I saw the anime, I was more used to 2D which is more of my favorite. It's more of a matter of habit than anything else. We also have quite a few blood scenes which can't be missing in a horror production and more so in these times where anime series are censored more. Finally, we have the soundtrack that is what I like most of the series, where in tense moments the background music allows us to immerse ourselves in the story. The intro is one of the best of the anime. I also liked the Spanish dubbing, it was pretty good, although sometimes I prefer to watch anime in the original language and this is the case.
If you like anime with dark and psychological themes, Ajin is the ideal and I highly recommend it. I think it's a good anime, I was quite surprised, just like Death Note, although of course this one is at a different level. I don't like the animation at all, although in the end we get used to it. If I would have to give a score to Ajin series 8/10, an anime that is not perfect, it has its details, but in general it fulfills its purpose which is to entertain the viewer.

Ajin: Demi-Human (2017) ~ A fantastic Japanese film production - worth the precious time to watch.
**Ajin: Demi-Human is a film production inspired by a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gamon Sakurai. This super fantastic story presents a category of people who can't die - an epic story about the immortals, made on a pretty amazing level. Ok just look at the trailer below.**
**The story of the film begins with a teenager, who turns out to be an Ajin ~ he finally manages to escape before the government authorities finish those experiments he was subjected to. Yep, thus becoming a fugitive chased by his powers, he will eventually continue to fight back. I confidently recommend the feature film - it's a rather remarkable cinematic achievement, in which we will see the Japanese actor, Takeru Sato, in the lead role. Yep, that fantastic actor who played his role, Himura Kenshin in the movie series - Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X).**
A short summary of this film production.
>**Nagai ~ a trainee doctor who discovers on the hard side that death does not cling to him. Captured by the government, he will be subjected to various inhuman experiments, but Nagai is quickly saved by Sato, another character endowed with the gift of immortality. Okay, from here the story goes on a pretty epic thread ~ a battle between good and evil with many visual scenes that will delight our eyes.**
**So, i will try not to give too many details about what is going on inside this fantastic creation......
The movie is a bit like "Venom" - so you get a little idea of what to expect - just a little bit like that. Ok, why do i make such a resemblance !!? Those people endowed with that supernatural power have been penetrated by a certain category of entities, which gives them the power to be immortal.**
This kind of movie is made for fun .... seriously now, from my point of view the movie is good, excellent effects and successful action. Honestly, i would have liked the movie i spent more time on, to be more longer ~ being initially drawn to the trailer and the lead actor (overall, i liked it). At first i didn't have high expectations, but in the end i managed to surprise myself more than i liked. It's a spectacular creation full of special effects, a movie worth seeing. I hope that in the future, those Japanese people will think of giving us a sequel ~ at least as good like this. Yep, a very promising creation, you will not be disappointed. I recommend with confidence.
SYNOPSIS
The Ajin are creatures similar to humans, without any modification in their body or any other limb, the only small difference is that they cannot die, no matter how they try, they always come back to life, being persecuted by the governments of the world to try to decipher their powers and do experiments. Nagai Ken, is a high school boy who only cares about the tranquility in his life, unfortunately for him one day he is run over by a car, killing him at the time, at that moment his life changed, because he realized that he was an Ajin.
OPINION
I had been wanting to see this anime for a while, I remember seeing its cover a long time ago but I ignored it and did not look for it again, now it appeared again in front of me, giving me the opportunity to see it and see why it caught my attention. It is an anime that came out in 2016, it has a trilogy of films that later were dedicated to making a series with the same events of the films, the manga ended this year so there is still material to exploit.
The anime has two seasons, the first being a constant game of running away and hiding, while the second season is confronting and taking risks, the interesting thing about the anime is not the fact that there are people who cannot die, but the way in which They are looking to fight them, because it may be easy to take down a 16-year-old Ajin, but it is a suicide mission if it is to catch a weapons expert who cannot die.
The only thing I did not like was the animation, I am not a fan of 3D animation, many things can be seen clumsy or without a good flow of movement, it would be more striking to see the shadows drawn in 2D than in a clumsy attempt at 3D. The main character, Nagai, at first seemed like an ordinary anime protagonist, but suddenly he changed his way of being, it is something that I did not understand about the character, if he was someone really nice or someone who did not care about people, I think they thought more of their villain Sato than of the protagonist, less coherence.
The anime has two seasons of thirteen chapters each, it is available on Netflix so that you can see it, it was an anime that I enjoyed despite having that animation that is not to my liking and some characters are only for decoration, I may come to enjoy more manga, but overall, it's a good anime.
›Between Humans and Demi-Humans, Who Do You Think Would Win? (@tegoshei's thoughts of AJIN anime)@tegoshei2690d
☆☆☆ Heya guys! Heya Otakuuuu~!!!
Tegoshei desu! ☆☆☆
I finally finished watching the anime "AJIN" season two yesterday... and I also watched the first season last week. And guess what??? I totally enjoyed it!
The anime AJIN is about a world where humans and demi-humans co-exist. Well, the demi-humans or the "ajin" are pretty much unknown. There are still a lot of things to know about them and how they become such. However, when a human dies and gets resurrected, then consider that human an "ajin".
"Ajins" are considered a threat to humanity. Well, I guess it's human nature to think that way. If there's something incomprehensible, it becomes a threat to us. What more, some "ajins" are very war freak. However, we cannot fully blame some "ajins" for their behavior because the government is secretly using them for various experiments. They have become "human lab rats" for them. Although they're considered to be immortal, but they DO experience pain.
"Ajins" also have something they call IBM, Black Matter, Ghost or the black thing which comes out from their body. They can "normally" control them and make them do stuff like fight or other trivial things. I quoted "normally" because such situation isn't applicable to every ajin.
To have a better view of the anime, check out the trailer below. I got it from [All The Anime](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7TU-6lXCI2iRGxbKBrAqxQ) on YouTube.
The characters I'll be introducing below aren't all the main characters. They're just the characters who gave a pretty great impact on me.
## NAGAI KEI
He is the third known "ajin" in the anime. Before he became an "ajin", he used to be the "perfect human" who lived a slightly boring world but he kept doing his best to meet the expectations of the people around him. He even abandoned his friend because according to his mother, that friend is no-good.
I think he is just another "Eren Jaeger" of Shingeki no Kyojin, "Kaneki Ken" of Tokyo Ghoul, "Shinichi" of Parasyte, etc. It's like destiny has been very unfair to them. They just wanted to live a normal life, but then they become someone who is far from normal. And because of that, they become scared to be normal and tried to throw away their "being human". They become empty and emotionless. T_T
This old man here is freaking EPIC! Well, he isn't the like-able type of character but I must admit... he is awesome! He's another "ajin" who just love playing games. And, when I say games... it means war! He is actually a pretty capable and influential leader, but is very selfish. Everything is just a game for him and he really doesn't give a damn about anything. He simply wants to have fun! XD
To be honest, I don't know whether I like this character or not. All I know is, he is so exciting to watch. You'd get a mixture of emotions like you want to stop him from his actions, but then again, you feel so excited that you just wish there'd be more of him and his games. *Crazy, I know!*
## Tosaki Yuu and Shimomura Izumi
The guy with the "megane" is Tosaki Yuu. YES! It's Tosaki, not Tozaki or Tousaki. I don't know why but he's so sensitive when it comes to his name. He's another selfish character in this series, but I actually like him. He's doing his best to hunt down ajin and stay with the government for money, so he could be save his fiance. For me, he's kind of a romantic, although it's not obvious due to his stoic personality and poker face. But more than that, I like his brain more. The way he strategize is also really interesting... though I could say the same for Nagai Kei.
The girl beside Tosaki is Shimomura Izumi. This might be a spoiler, but yes, she's also an ajin. Her back story was also kind of sad and tragic. Tosaki-san somehow took care of her, though also for his own benefit. And yeah, Izumi's IBM is called Kuro-chan... and I really like it. I think it's the kindest IBM there is in this series.
## KAITO <3
This guy NEEDS MORE EFFIN' SCREEN TIME!!! I love his character the best and I want him to be an"ajin" and live happily ever after with Kei forever. *oops.. I know... my fujoshi thoughts just slipped* Well, this handsome guy is Nagai Kei's best friend. *Although Kei is being a bastard about it...* But really, he has always been there to save Kei despite his being human. Everyone needs a "KAITO/KAI" in their life. *Please give him more screen time... I beg youuuuuu!*
## Nakano
If Kai was "bae", Nakano is my "happy pill". I really find him hilarious in so many ways. For me, he's a feel good character and I really like his personality, although he's quite impulsive. I believe that among all the "ajins", he is the most human, well he is even more human than the other humans in this series.
There was one part in the second season which really made me laugh because of this character. It was when he and Kei was training together. I love how goofy and warmhearted he is.
- - -
Well, there were other characters which played really interesting roles, but the ones I mentioned above were my favorites. You'll discover the other characters once you watch the series. It's really interesting!

What Does @tegoshei Think of AJIN?
To be honest, I can feel "Shingeki no Kyojin" and "Tokyo Ghoul" vibes in this anime. Those that are "different" are either being treated as lab rats or being feared by others who don't have enough information about them. Some "ajins" simply wanted to live normally like others, but others simply wanted to take revenge for what has been done to them or just a simple-minded war freak.
Another similarity I found between SnK and Ajin are the complicated political issues. At first, I thought it's simply Titan VS Human or AJIN VS Human... but actually, there are hidden Human VS Human conflicts which can somehow make me feel that it's better not to be normal.
In reality, such things apply, too. Not only in political aspects but also at school or work... well, even within the family. It's pretty sad, but realistically speaking, some humans are naturally selfish and never satisfied. They seek for more power, more money and influence. Upon watching these anime, I somehow think that it's better to be something else rather than being those dirty humans.
I'm really looking forward to watching the third season, if ever there is. I hope to see more of "KAI" who is a human, but a human with a heart. If not, I guess I'd read the "ongoing" manga. However, I'll do my best to be more patient in waiting... that's how I always am. *lol*

That's all for this post!
I hope you enjoyed reading it~! ^^
Let's keep watching anime!
Baibai~!
@tegoshei
The horror genre is not only found in widescreen movies but also in anime or Japanese cartoons. In fact, the anime that the theme of this horror also has its own fans. One of the horror genre anime that will be aired in 2016 is Ajin. Ajin itself is a term for immortal humans or humans who can not die. Ajin first appeared on the battlefield of Africa seventeen years ago. Since then, various types of Ajin have begun to be found in everyday human life. Due to the scarcity of Ajin's form, the local government intends to conduct an experiment as well as give prizes to anyone who succeeds in capturing Ajin.
Ajin is estimated to number forty-seven people worldwide, and two of them are in Japan. Knowing this, Naga Kei thinks that Ajin is the enemy of society and must be eradicated. However, Kei actually found that he belongs to one of Ajin who has the ability to manipulate up to more than one black ghost. In the end Kei actually much hunted, including by Satou who was dubbed Ajin Psychopath. Kei eventually joins another ajin named Kou to defeat Satou. From here Kei learns that the ajin in Japan is not just the two of them alone. There are many other mysterious and unknown aims.
Anime Ajin is appointed from a pretty popular Japanese manga or comic by Sakurai Gamon. The full title is Ajin: Demi-Human and has a genre of adventure, mystery, horror, seinen and supernatural. The studio that produces it is Polygon Pictures that has prepared as many as thirteen episodes. Ajin has started airing in the winter of 2016 or last January, precisely dated January 16, 2016. The anime trailer itself is quite interesting and will satisfy the lovers of Japanese horror cartoon horror. Directed by Hiroyuki Seshita and Hiroaki Andou, the theme song of the anime is performed by Mamori Miyano. Ending songn titled How Close You Are.
"Anime are not just a TV show like cartoons, Anime are epic stories which will never dies!"
