  1. Assassination Classroom: When your teacher is a giant octopus that wants to destroy the Earth. [Eng/Esp]@valsalazar328d

    Hello, anime lovers!

I hope you are well. Today I come to talk to you about a real gem of anime, one that not many know about on the opposite side of the Asian continent, but that is a pleasure to watch. This is an anime that I watched many years ago, I was about 11 years old and I had access to YouTube, where I loved watching anime, so I watched a lot and enjoyed a lot.

One of them in particular and which today I review and recommend is one entitled Assassination Classroom a work that contains a lot of action, drama (There were times when I cried, but immediately something crazy happened and it passed.) so it also has enough comedy and science fiction, the latter something crazy, but we are talking about anime.

It is that, by God, imagine that your teacher is a mysterious alien being shaped like a giant yellow octopus, which destroyed much of the moon, that no army on the planet can beat, not even a missile and threatens to destroy the earth in a year.

This mysterious being, rather cheeky and prankster, decides that, while the one-year term is up, he wants to become a high school teacher and be called Koro-sensei. So, while looking for a way to kill him, he becomes a teacher in class 3-E at Kunugigaoka High School. I might add that, considered the worst class, they are outcasts in an elitist school. Koro-sensei sets out on a mission: to teach his students... While they try to kill him.

This is because no one can find a way to destroy him or even stop him and put an end to his idea of being a “teacher”, so what better than his students, kids who have barely entered their teens and who spend a lot of time with him, to find a way to kill him. If they succeed, not only will they be saving the world, but whoever kills him will receive a million-dollar reward.

But the story is not just about killing the giant yellow octopus that moves incredibly fast. But Koro - sensei during the time he is a teacher, not only teaches his students: mathematics, history, physics... And assassination techniques while teaching them geography with passion. As a small spoiler there is one student who, indeed, has a natural talent for assassination.

Koro-sensei teaches his students, considered by the rest as useless who will never achieve anything in life, values and principles, acceptance, teamwork, self-confidence and love themselves as they are, his dedication and commitment to his students makes him the ideal teacher: one who gives his all for the growth of his students, soon the 3-E class becomes a space for growth and improvement for those who are marginalized.

Of course, there are other great characters, such as students and other teachers, each with a story, with reasons for being and with desires. Their evolution is one of the major focuses of the play, of course, as they try to take down Koro-sensei. As they live adventures, learn and transform into their best version, they become what Koro-sensei saw in them. All this accompanied by laughter, action and adventure. I still can't get over the fact that everyone in the class thought for a long time that Nagisa was a woman, ha ha ha ha. Those students were so shameless, they invented crazy things, that made me wonder where the heck their parents were.

The action scenes are good, nothing like seeing Koro-sensei fleeing from one side to the other while his students shoot at him with machine guns, AK-47s and even bazookas, the brats scheming plans on how to catch him and send him to San Pedro. I quite liked the construction of the play, it makes an allegory of educational life, with all its emotional and even existential chaos, as a social battlefield and in this case literal, in young people who are just discovering who they are and what it takes to grow up, but above all to find their place in the world... In their case, if there is a world left to live in, ha, ha, ha, ha. But seriously, it shows what school life can be like for many young people, when they are just discovering themselves, how hard life can be in high school and in society, as well as the desire to want to belong, despite how absurd it can be to have a giant yellow octopus as a teacher, who likes to be called Koro-sensei, who moves at Mach 20 and whose mood determines his color.

It is a quirky anime at times, but still charming and, although its premise is absurd, it manages to balance humor, emotional, nostalgic, drama and action. Some may feel it repetitive at some point, but it is still very good, I feel it is balanced.

Anyway, this is an anime that I remember fondly and enjoyed quite a bit. It has two seasons of anime and several adaptations, it even has live-action movies. It is a real gem. Whoever sees it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

If you made it this far, I hope you liked the review-recommendation and that you are encouraged to watch this great story!

Hello friends, good vibes to all.

    **

Hola amigos, buenas vibras para todos.

How much affection, respect and admiration have you come to have for a teacher? - Throughout the life of a student, one who went through college and university, I'm sure we have come across that teacher that everyone likes, the one who always has good advice for his students and above all the one who cares about his class. Well, something like that happens with Koro-sensei, a yellow octopus who has a power and it is that incredibly fast, besides having been able to win the hearts of all his pupils. This movie is a sort of summary of the anime of the same name. Personally I have not seen the anime and yet I understood 95% of the film, it is something that can be watched without problems.

As I was saying, this strange yellowish octopus is in charge of class 3-E, one that trains future assassins. But what is the background? - Well, Koro-sensei destroyed 75% of the moon and now plans to destroy the Earth. The Japanese government has commissioned this class to assassinate the professor before he does what he promised. The interesting thing about this is that Koro-sensei himself will train them and teach them everything they need to be good assassins so that, at the end of the year, they can assassinate him. That is the important thing to know for this movie that takes place some time after the anime, it is like a kind of reunion to remember everything lived and what happened in that last year.

But the story explores other characters who are Nagisa and Karma, both students of the course but with a very strong rivalry which in the end led them to be great friends. It is the typical relationship between the strongest and most skilled against the one with innate abilities, there is always a theme of ego and pride that thanks to the maturity and teachings of Koro they managed to leave aside. In general terms we are in front of a summary movie which in an hour and a half concentrates I think a couple of seasons. It is true that there are details behind the story that in the anime I assume are explained and addressed better, but for a film that shortens the plot it is very good.

What stands out the most is the emotional part beyond the action and comedy it has, it's the connection and relationship of these students with their teacher that really makes you like the movie in this case. They went from seeing him as a goal to be able to pass the course to considering him as a father and friend. I'm going to confess that in the final scene of this it was impossible for my eyes not to water, it has a very big and special emotional charge. And this happens because in the middle of the lessons he gave there was always time to listen to everyone, he took them into account and filled them with life advice that even for oneself works perfectly.

As for the animation this was produced by Lerche, a studio I have no knowledge of. But to say that it is very good and even mainstream I would say because the design of the characters, the action scenes, the slow motion, etc, is very similar to what we are used to seeing. Visually it's very well done, just because it's mainstream doesn't mean it's a bad thing. The characters are very cool, at least the ones in this movie that are in the spotlight. Nagisa and Karma being so different complement each other a lot, it's a relationship that is well developed in the anime. And Koro-sensei is amazing, I think he's one of the characters I've enjoyed watching lately because he's a mix between an intimidating creature but deep down he's a being full of kindness.

I saw the movie because I did not know what to expect, I like that because I do not predispose myself, but in this case and although the film is understood without problems I think it is better to see the anime first basically because the characters and the relationship between them is worth watching it thoroughly. In the same way I super recommend this, you laugh, you cry, there are good action scenes, it is very complete.

There were some funny moments, but I found the overall concept too bizarre and random and chockfull of plot holes tbh. I wouldn't continue the series.

Karma was WAY over the top, who turns into a complete psychopath after finding out society cares more about good grades than what is right/moral? I liked Nagisa, he seemed nice and sweet. Otherwise, I dont think I got to know any character enough to have any opinion on them

I've read manga before, and this was typical shounen art style imo. I'm unsure if I'd classify it more as shounen or seinen, espessially with the very final image.. that.. uh.. looked a little risky. I'd say it would be high-age-end of shounen.

As for pacing and depiction of time, that was easily slotted into the fact he kept teaching different subjects and the fact that the students kept going "I'll try again tomorrow"

I wouldn't know what I'd say to the artist. Maybe: Why did you choose to make his face the way you did? It's very unique and very much like an emoji.

Anything else? Hmm, the students were too relaxed. Too much "we have all the time in the world" attitude when in fact the whole premise is they only have a year to do it. Like, that one guy who decides he's going to work on his future as a pitcher? WHAT future my man???

  4. Let's Take A Look At Assassination Classroom@youloseagain606d

    75639l.jpg

    Evening all

So tonight's series is one that I am hugely surprised but also disappointed in myself that I have never even mentioned this beauty to you all.

Let me humbly introduce to you Assassination Classroom or Ansatsu Kyoushitsu.

I actually watched this a few years ago now entirely by accident. I remember browsing an Anime site and came across a big ass yellow Octopus looking dude and thought, heck I'll check this one out. I wasn't expecting much from it but dayum it was bloody brilliant.

Yes the series does have a big following and is really popular, but I didn't actually realise this until I later looked it up after wondering why I had never heard of it.

Year of release: 2015 Aired: January 2015 to June 2015 Number of seasons: 2 Number of episodes: 22 and 25 in the Second series Studio: Lerche Genre: Action, Comedy, School Life Episode run time: 23 minutes per episode Age rating: PG - 13 My rating: 9/10

    64043l.jpg

The Assassination Classroom series is based in a small derelict building up in the mountains that is a part of the elite Kunugigaoka Middle School. This building houses the Class 3-E, the class for the dropouts, the class failures and the general delinquents that the school want out of the way from the other students.

The whole class is disrespected by their peers in the school, from the other kids to even their teachers. This has led the students in 3-E to give up on trying to even progress in their academic lives. Then out of the blue, along comes a new teacher with the hopes of helping the class pass and graduate at the end of the year.

Oh, also just to add, their new teacher is this super dangerous monster who is going to destroy the world!

    64595l.jpg

After destroying 70% of the moon, the big tentacled Octopus looking teacher has let the world's governments know that he plans on blowing up Earth in March of next year. He has asked to teach the Class of 3-E, but he never gave them a reason for this.

    67201l.jpg

The class name the Teacher Koro-Sensei, which is a play on the words Korosenai which means unkillable in Japanese and sensei which is teacher. The class have been tasked with the assassination of Koro-Sensei, all the while he will be teaching them and helping them learn, which no other teacher has ever been able to.

He does have a penchant for personal grooming, so when people are failing at killing him, he does like to give them a makeover!

    83090l.jpg

With the aid of specific weapons designed for the sole purpose of killing Koro-Sensei, the class have till March to kill him and take home the 20 Billion prize money.

He trains the students in both their academic studies and also their assassin skills to the best of his abilities.

Overall the art style is top of the line and a really good fit for the series. The colour changing Sensei brings some good entertainment to the series. The comedy is top notch, from the first minute of the first episode it really shows you exactly how the series will proceed. I loved every episode fully.

Now the opening track is pretty fun and upbeat. A thoughly enjoyable one for sure

Now the ending theme Hello Shooting Star is a real unexpected ending to the episode. It's so freaking good though. A really beautiful song and the voice is amazing, such beauty!

  5. Assassination Classroom: A Review And@fashtioluwa659d
Hello anime lovers, I am feeling excited today because there was a manhwa I was reading, it has a three-month break and they are back again. The name is "Revenge of the swordclan Hound" If you are a lover of family kind of manhwa, then I think you would like it.

Anyways, today I am here to give a review on the anime title "Assasination Classroom." What made me start downloading this anime is because I have been seeing clips of it on YouTube, especially when I am searching for other anime references. One part of the clip that got me was the part of the students surrounding their teacher. I went on tiktok to watch some edits and it was fire just for me to download it and was disappointed.

I am not saying the anime is all bad but I am free to call it mid. I am currently in the second season, almost done with it and I have started downloading the third. The truth is that the first season was Mid actually. Not like I did not enjoy it but there are so many things to be expected but they made to many jokes out of it.

The anime is centered around an octopus teacher with a hidden background story. Alt through the first season, there were only one or two scences showing his backstory which made this character difficult to understand. Koro-sensei is an octopus with intelligence who moves at mach 20 speed, faster than a moving Jet. He has a grudge against the people of the earth then destroyed their moon.

The story is centered around this octopus who later became the teacher of the failed class called the "Class 3-E" The failed class are group of students who are finding it difficult to cope with their academic but with the arrival of Koro-sensei, he began to teach them while improving their learning capacity. While doing this, the students where tasked to kill their teacher (Koro-sensei) before the month of March because he has promised to destory earth same way he destroyed the month.

One of the interesting parts of this anime is that, all the teachers employed to help Koro-sensei teach the kids are either assasins or special force in the military. Tadaomi Karasuma is a special force from the military trained to carry out special tasks. He was to held the students in their assassination. One amazing thing about Koro-sensei is that, he always looks down on the students because he believes no one can kill him and the fact remain like that all through season one.

There are some students who got more attention in the anime like Nagisa Shiota and Karma Akabane. But one thing remains sure, all the students in the class are the main character except for the teachers. Each students have their own unique episode to talk about their strength and weakness. At that speed, the students have been trying to hard to kill Koro-sensei even at close range with guns and knife but non succeeded.

The anime is interesting because you would want to know what happens at the end but it has not interesting action to keep its watcher glued to their screen. It's an amazing anime, the graphics are nice and top notch. The story line get more interesting as viewer watch it, the sound are perfect and some of the terminology used in the anime made it 18+ . It's not an anime a kid should watch without supervision.

If I were to rate the anime, I would give it a 6.5/10. I don't know if others will agree or disagree. Watch it and tell me what you think. Here is a trailer of it

All images are screenshot from the anime video while the thumbnail is a screenshot designed on canvas.

    Thanks for reading.

Hello everyone! Dear community of The Anime Realm, I hope you are well today. I want to share with you a new review, with my personal opinion of a very original anime... Surely you have heard of it, or have seen it, it is Assasination Classroom, a school/comedy/drama type anime. I found it to be a very original series, and it explores very important themes such as education, the personal growth of students in high school, and the value of life. Accompanied by certain doses of comedy and action, with a decent animation, you will surely enjoy it a lot. This series introduces us to a group of students who were outcasts, who have been excluded for different reasons.... Then they are presented with an unusual opportunity, they must complete the task of assassinating their teacher, who is an alien octopus. And so begins this crazy and dramatic story, which makes the viewer, and especially those related to the school environment, think a lot. This anime masterfully touches on the role of teachers, and the importance of finding one's true vocation in life.

This anime surprised me when I saw it, as I said, its premise is quite unique. The students of Class E, are practically the "waste" of the school, the ones that are useless. Strangely one day they learn that they must kill their class teacher in order to get out of that class. This alien introduces himself as their new teacher, with a rather adorable design.. however, this teacher threatens to destroy the Earth within a year, and will only accept to be killed by these students, as other government entities and other defense personnel can not even touch him. This plot seems to be action, or suspense, but the truth quickly turns into a school series, focused on teaching these kids, with action and comedy in between. As you watch the series, you grow fond of Koro-sensei, the teacher, you understand that maybe he's not a villain after all. And you discover how endearing he can be, he is completely dedicated to helping develop the skills of his students, and making them the best version of themselves.

The first season of this anime presents us in a very good way this world, and the characters of this class, each one with their totally different personalities, being many characters, I thought that most of them would be just filler, and although this is sometimes the case, the series gives us the opportunity to know a little bit of each one. As the episodes go by, we see how Class E transforms from a group of misfits into a family, mainly because they are forced to work together as a team in order to assassinate their teacher. The dynamics that these students have with Koro-sensei is quite entertaining, there are situations of comedy, action and emotional moments... I loved how they deconstructed all the common stereotypes of the school genre, their characters feel original, and charismatic. The main character, Nagisa, may seem wimpy, but he ends up showing his true motivations, among other characters that have their personalities well defined and end up giving you a surprise or two. The second season of this anime is amazing! It gives the task of deepening a lot in the development of the characters, and in the plot of the murder, we see the past of Koro-sensei and how he ended up being what he is now... We continue to see his incredible work as a mentor and guide, giving invaluable advice not only academically, but also giving life lessons. The closer it gets to the time of the assassination, the tension and action rises a lot, it's amazing how well the anime balances all of this with comedy, it does make you laugh from time to time. The fight scenes get better and better as our protagonists evolve as assassins, they have a very cool flow to watch.. the subplots are also important, and more than filler, they can give us as viewers good lessons... Like the importance of finding a vocation, and overcoming our problems related to the endless social stigmas that exist today, many people can identify with the students, and even more so if they had in their lives a teacher who was their teaching symbol, and who changed them in one way or another, helping them to be who I am today.

As for the animation, I think it's pretty decent... it presents a fairly simple, but effective style, the character designs are fine, and the color palette is vibrant enough to keep you entertained. While the animation quality may vary in some episodes, it mostly manages to convey the energy and emotion of the story, in a convincing way, and coupled with a very good soundtrack, which has both upbeat and melancholic themes, it all comes together perfectly. In the key moments, the technical aspects shine a lot, it transports you to the atmosphere of the series, and makes you move, I really liked how this lends itself to see the evolutions of Nagisa and Karma, characters that I liked a lot... Without a doubt the jewel of this anime is Koro-sensei, his role ends up inspiring you a lot, it's very good the way he motivates all his students to be better, with lessons and teachings that can touch the heart of the viewers. It's very good the way Assassination Classroom manages to keep you entertained, the moments of action, comedy and sadness are well elaborated so you don't get bored... it's extremely entertaining to watch these students face the different challenges they face during their school life... I give this anime a 9/10 rating. It makes you emotional and thoughtful, the ending is just beautiful. After so many years, I still remember the feelings that this work developed in me, it is really complete and emotional, I highly recommend it, you end up knowing the whole class, and taking many lessons from them. I share with you the official intro of this anime.

"Assassination Classroom " is one of those anime that grabs you from the very first episode. Imagine having a strange creature as your teacher at school! But wait, this isn't just any creature, it's Koro-sensei(Voice by Jun Fukuyama)), a yellow creature so fast you can't even see it. So fast that it can dodge multiple shots while plucking your eyebrows at the same time. It's mind-blowing!

  8. Assassination Classroom | You'll end up crying@jauregui981063d

    image.png

This is one of those anime that you have to watch at least once in your life, no matter if you like it or not, you have to watch it, well, no, if you don't like it, no, but if you at least enjoy it a little bit it's totally worth to finish watching it. I remember seeing this recommendation in a compilation that said it had the best teachers of existing anime, but I forgot about it, and the truth, I don't know how I got to see it actually, I don't know where the name came from, but it did, and I watched it, and I had fun, and I cried, and now I'm here recommending it to you.

70% of the moon was destroyed, and if the world does nothing, the earth will be destroyed within a year, but the situation is that they can do nothing, besides accepting the conditions of the creature that is able to move at a speed impossible for humans to reach. Korosensei, as it will be called later in the anime, is the creature that will destroy the earth in one year, a kind of yellow octopus that can change color according to its emotions, and that has more than twenty tentacles, that is all the time with a smile and while it may be the most powerful creature, sometimes it behaves like a pubescent teenager who gets overly excited at the sight of a woman with big boobs, but that's not what matters, what matters is that Korosensei has as a condition to not destroy the earth before the lapse of time he gave, is that they let him be the Class E teacher of a prestigious school, and this Class E will not only see his regular subjects, but they will also be trying to kill him constantly, thus becoming the Class of Murder.

    image.png

    image.png

I didn't expect much from this anime, I mean, a class of students trying to kill a creature that not even all the countries in the world could kill together, there is no chance of them succeeding, so they would just be wasting their time, then they hit us in the face with Korosensei's hilarious personality and we fall in love with everything that happens, because he becomes that parental figure that everyone would like to have, or that we should get to have, because he is in charge of satisfying each of the needs of his students so that they can get to have a full development and can face the world at all costs without fearing the things that can happen to them, and that was simply too beautiful not to stay watching the anime completely.

Korosensei is definitely one of the best teachers you can find in the anime world, and not only that, but his students will really deserve him, because we can think about Kakashi and Sasuke, for example, and it's very clear that Sasuke didn't deserve Kakashi as a teacher, the antisocial depressive emo wretch, I remember him and I like him worse and worse. Anyway, Korosensei will be teaching in the beginning to 25 students, and with the course of the passage 3 more students will join, and although in the beginning they will only want to kill Korosensei, they will understand that Korosensei is not there just to be killed, but he is teaching them everything he can before he destroys the world or they kill him, whichever comes first, then they completely change their way of seeing the situation, and understand that there are more important things than killing the creature that will destroy the world.

    image.png

One of my favorite things is that the anime doesn't just focus on the students trying to kill Korosensie, and while Korosensei is the biggest threat to the planet, we are shown that there are much worse things than him, and the students are constantly facing other types of dangers, and this is where the context of the students' lives at school comes into play, because they are in one of the best schools in the country, but the school is run by a principal who has an educational system where there are oppressed students, so that the rest of the students are afraid of ending up like them and so they try their best not to end up being mistreated or become what they swore to destroy.

Class E will be that class that is outcast, bullied, and oppressed by the rest of the school, which is horrible and still makes me angry, and while Class E is being trained to be assassins, they are much more than that, but they use their assassin skills to stand up to them, and that's something too epic, the way they represent the experience of the exams fascinated me, nothing new that hasn't been seen before, although the series is about to turn ten years old or has already turned ten, so it's not that it's very new to say; Anyway, Class E will give again and again a spoonful of their own medicine to the best of the school, making them understand that it does them no good to be in the best class of the school, when those who are in the worst class are receiving a better education than they can imagine, and that will be beautiful, because it is only possible because of Korosensei.

    image.png

    image.png

This anime is full of fights, attempted murders, very good insults, and many situations that will never happen in real life, but they are possible, I wish it had not ended as it did, because it made me cry, but it was the best thing that could happen to me, beautiful fucking ending, first it makes me cry and then it makes me laugh, and then cry again and then laugh again, it's not worth it. It's funnier than it seems, and deeper than you'll ever expect, I love Nagisa, ya, bye.

    image.png

  10. [Anime Review] Assassination Classroom@ahmadmanga2052d

"We are Assassins. Our Target is: The Teacher!" -- Nagisa Shiota

Assassination Classroom takes an idea that shouldn't work, and makes a memorable Manga/Anime out of it: A Dramedy about Middle School Classroom in which the students are being trained to assassinate their teacher!

    thumb_1920_605582.png

The story Assassination Classroom starts when the middle school Class-E get a new teacher. An Octopus creature who tells them that he's the monster who destroyed half of the Moon just the other day, and he's going to do the same to the Earth in a year, unless he gets killed first.

The thing is, this Octopus-creature moves at 20 Mach speed and nothing is able to touch him. He makes a deal with the governments around the world to be allowed to teach these specific students how to kill him. They agree with certain conditions.

Thus starts the year in which Class-E have to learn assassination on top of their usual study sessions. Koro-sensei not only teaches the students how to kill, but also how to live... The students soon learn that killing the teacher would require more than the skills needed to kill him, but the resolve to do so as well!

    thumb_1920_444152.jpg

There's no main character in this series, (not in the traditional sense,) the whole classroom shares the main character's role. But there are three characters that get the most focus: Nagisa, who narrates the series and we see most of the events from his view point. Karma, his friend, the ace and the troll of the group, and most importantly: The Teacher!

    thumb_1920_605581.jpg

Koro-sensei is an interesting case because he's both the main protagonist and the main antagonist of the story. While the students are collectively the main character, Koro-sensei is the one that drives the plot forward and he's the connection between all the different plots of the series. He also has most of the heroic traits that he shares with the main characters of other shonen series.

Despite being heroic however, Koro-sensei is the main antagonist of the series, as he keeps reminding the students (and us,) that he's going to destroy the earth if no one kills him in a year.

Also, can you call someone who teaches children how to kill a "good person" ...?

Koro-sensei might seem invincible as no one can touch him, but he has a lot of weaknesses that the students keep discovering through-out the story. For example: The students have weapons made of a substance that could kill Koro-sensei when touched, but can't harm any human if they got stabbed with them. Most of his weaknesses however are his personality flaws and they're played for comedy as much as they're played for drama!

    screenshot.1606294297.jpg

Other character outside of the class and its teachers are interesting too. Since the existence of Koro-sensei is a secret between the government and principle of the school, the only other people who know about him are the assassins hired by the government. It's nice to see how the general public reacts to the effects of what Koro-sensei does. (People can't see him because he moves at 20 Mach speed.)

Many of my favorite characters are antagonists who want to kill Koro-sensei before the students, and it's nice to see them learn his weaknesses and use them to their advantages! It says a lot about how good this series is when I keep cheering Koro-sensei to overcome his weakness and defeat them despite that his death will be good for the world overall.

    thumb_1920_871560.png

In my opinion, the greatest strength of Assassination Classroom is that it makes you forget the stakes. With each episode you forget more and more that most likely there won't be a happy ending. With each episode you forget the heavy implications of allowing children to use words like Kill, Murder or use Knives. With each episode you come to care about the killers and the one they want to kill. Then something happens, and you remember all of the stakes at once which makes the emotional scenes more powerful.

The Manga spans 21 volumes, and the anime adapts the story in only 2 seasons. The pace of the the anime feels just right. The contrast between animations of the happy and dark scenes is striking in the best way possible. (The story gets increasingly dark near the end, but it somehow manages to keep the "positivity" of the early episodes/chapters.)

There are many things I could talk about in Assassin Classroom. All the students have their unique personality and each of them receives at least one sub-plot through-out the story. Koro-sensei's character is so unique and complex that it deserves exploration, and I would love to do that sometime in the future!

    What are your thoughts?

    Just realized I haven't talked about the Spin-off: Koro-sensei Q! I'll fix that another time~

  11. Assassination classroom Review... 2 season full of murder.@wisejg2724d

    koro1.jpg

You can not imagine how rewarding it is to finish watching a series, with a special ending, able to conclude the story that you dedicated so long. Today in this new post I will talk about an anime recommended by a friend: Assassination Classroom. My friend Carlos recommended me to watch the series, I wait until the last chapter to talk about it. Yesterday I finally saw the last episode.

    Assassination Classroom

    koro8.jpg

A powerful monster shaped like a yellow octopus threatens the earth, since it destroyed 70% of the Moon. So far it seems to be a cliché story, I think it is, but what comes next is interesting. The monster has the purpose that within a year, it will destroy the Earth. However, it offers humanity an opportunity to prevent that from happening. His request is to become a teacher of a class in a secondary school. The class would end up being the 3-E of the Kunugigaoka Institute.the goal of the students is to kill their teacher.

Behind that plan is the Japanese government who promises a reward of ¥ 10 billion (100 million dollars) to any student who manages to kill the yellow octopus. The students name the monster as "Koro-sensei" a Japanese word game that ends up meaning: teacher impossible to kill.

    Sin título.jpg

If something stands out from this scoop where a group of students have to become assassins is very bold. The first one comes to mind is how something as ridiculous as a yellow octopus can have such a stunning villain profile. Throughout the whole series we are getting to know the skills of Koro-sensei. He can move at a speed of 20 mach. Certainly never investigate how much that is in Km, but the effect in the series makes it quite clear that it is super fast.

After a short time students will discover that they are facing an almost impossible task, partly because Koro-sensei not only has several superpowers at his disposal. But it also turns out to be the best teacher they have ever had, who in addition to helping them improve their qualifications also helps them solve their personal problems and perspectives for the future.

    koro4.jpg

The series may be repetitive at first. The first chapters focus entirely on the plot. Students trying to kill their teacher. The point is that each episode tells a story of self-improvement for all the protagonists, at certain times if they focus on a specific character. But most of the time the context applies to all members of class 3-E.

The series explores the fields of adolescence, that stage of life where we all believe that we are superior beings. After all it is a special class of misfits, they are conflictive or that due to the same student society they are involved in problems. Sometimes the essence of the show is lost. Unfolding the original plot and making believe that what we see is a purely educational school anime. As if the show was a guide that is teaching the viewer. This is reflected in the situations that koro-sensei helps overcome.

    koro3.jpg

You must ask how is it that it is a school of murderers? the same koro-sensei is the one who is giving the knowledge of murderers to the 28 students of the class that was assigned the objective of assassinating him before the end of the year. The training brings out the best in each of the boys. Making the bonds of friendship grow every day more, and it is relevant to mention that the series has a little corny tendencies but that knows how to handle, making the spectator return to the central plot, students with the aim of assassinating their sensei. It is a good detail that after episodes full of emotional discharges comes a joke or a failed murder scene.

    Assassination-Classroom-licenciado-en-España-por-@SelectaVision.jpg

    Source

The series consists of 2 seasons, the first has 22 episodes and the second 25. I dare say that all episodes are exciting. They leave you with the need to keep watching. Another great point in favor beyond how exciting each episode is, the show forces you to generate questions. Fortunately, as if it were something planned, the same series is responsible for responding. An example of the latter that I mention could be like this: "if koro-sensei is so fast why they do not use a missile to reach it?" And minutes later as if by magic the show, shows you a scene where what you was thinking and answer your question with valid arguments very close to reality. Because they know how to take care of fiction. There is no meaningless response. Everything is perfectly explained. Leaving you wanting to see more situations where the maximum capabilities of each character are exploited.

An anime serie highly recommended. Text & Edition by @wisejg. all the images are screenshot from the original serie.

  13. Anime Review: Classroom Crisis@thatanimesnob2959d

I had no intention of reviewing this fucking piece of shit, which is obvious to tell it’s a fucking piece of shit without having to watch it. But then some redditors kept pesting me about it, and insisting that it is the best anime of the year. It is not about a boring slice of life piece of shit where some generic high school students try to build a spaceship. It's a drama focused more on political alliances and corporate conspiracies. They kept insisting I should watch it and realize what an amazing show it is. O, then, I was convinced to watch this fucking piece of shit so I can tell you all how it was a fucking piece of shit all along. Here are my impressions for every episode.

    Episode 1:

    • Some guys are talking about a dangerous hostage situation. They make sure to show us how dangerous the whole thing is by shoehorning a high school girl dressing.
    • The plot is apparently about a serious space program, where they are building a rocket. Instead of focusing on the cool sci-fi aspect, they just show a generic high school. Apparently the director said that creative work plays a large role in the story, setting the story in an academy that builds rockets, would be a good fit for anime. Because nothing oozes more creativity in anime, than a high school setting.
    • A high school girl somehow hijacks a prototype spaceship and flies to space with no security standing in its way or needing clearance from air control at the base. I guess opening hatchets to the vacuum of space all by yourself is as easy as riding a bicycle.
    • There is a rescue mission to save an important person, and instead of a cool action scene where they save a businessman, turns out it was all a hoax, and the victim is the done to death transfer student cliché. Way to go high school settings, you are so creative.

    Episode 2:

    • There are a lot of sci-fi ideas about the futuristic setting and they are all infodumped on us by an unseen narrator, which makes it boring. But don’t believe it’s about building a rocket because redditors said it wasn’t.
    • There are politics about how space programs are funded, and how it takes a lot of negotiation to be done properly, yet the characters behave like they are in a silly school competition where all it takes to build a half a billion rocket is to believe in yourself.

Episode 3: They make a big fuss about cutting down the budget of the program as means to show how cruel the real world is, before revealing it was all a hoax again and ending it with lukewarm sex jokes.

Episode 4: Now they try to make it seem like finding a sponsor for your program is a nasty business where everybody is trying to take advantage of you for political power. And everything gets easily resolved when without even trying, the leader of the project gets promoted and finds the money through a loophole. Just because the transfer student said so.

Episode 5: Having found the money they needed all this time, the students rush to spend them accordingly by going to the beach and giving us done to death fan service stereotypes. It's totally a drama focused more on political alliances and corporate conspiracies.

Episode 6: Now that vacations are over, they can finally focus on building the damn spaceship. Only they don’t because they waste it on studying for school exams. One of them has problem passing the exams but once his drama is revealed in a flashback, the students give him motivation to study harder and passes the exams. And that’s it with this conflict.

Episode 7: The ship they are on is high jacked and we get a fighting scene that ain’t bad. Yet they had to ruin it by making one of the girls unlocking the memories she had lost because of amnesia. Because nothing spells good storytelling without amnesia.

Episode 8: Big political parties are having an election war. But let’s disregard all that and focus on a school festival where they eject a bottle in the air.

Episodes 9-10: More political stuff happen, and surprisingly the school stuff are kept to a minimum. This is a major improvement compared to the previous episodes, and one can only wonder why it wasn’t like that since the very beginning. Even so, it’s not like there are crafty mind games and complicating backstabbing amongst corporations. We are just shown them talking for a few minutes and reaching to an agreement just like that. It makes politics seem very simple to get what you want. It also doesn’t help how they throw in the amnesia bullshit, where it turns out that girl is the real heir. The show is about serious politics guys.

Episode 11: Turns out the corporation plans to make weapons out of their school project, and the transfer student gets abducted by the one dimensional asshole he dethroned during the political stuff. At this point the show became a silly shonen where the good hearted teenagers want to stop evil adults who love to torture people and want to make money by selling guns. And we might as well throw in a love triangle out of nowhere to make the whole thing feel even more like a C grade sitcom.

Episodes 12-13: And then the finale happens where everything gets resolved fairly quick and easy, and just for the lulz they leave things open for a sequel with the only bait being “which girl will he choose?” and not what are they going to do with the company. That is the only reason people want a second season for. The end.

It was stupid, boring, had schools and love polygons for no reason, and anime fans have lowered their bar below sea level for liking what is essentially a reskin of Robotics;Notes. Cool stuff are happening in the world but we just have to fucking destroy everything by focusing on a fucking school about fucking teenagers, building a fucking machine, and having a fucking romance. Just watch Planetes and forget this piece of shit.

It all begins after 70% of the moon was suddenly vaporized in an explosion. The super lifeform responsible for this catastrophe is a strange tentacled creature that can slink around at supersonic Mach 20 speeds. It has a 10 billion yen (US$100 million) price on its head, but for some reason, this creature ends up teaching a middle school class at the beginning of the school year. The students have until graduation to assassinate the teacher, or it will destroy Earth as well.

    About

Assassination Classroom or commonly known as Ansatsu Kyoshitsu is a Japanese comic science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Yūsei Matsui. It was published by Shueisha from July 2012 to March 2016. It was later adapted into an anime series by 2015 running for two seasons by Lerche Studios.

    Thoughts

Assassination Classroom starts off with a literal BANG! when a tentacled creature vaporized 70% of the earth's moon permanently making it into a shape of a crescent. The creature then threatened humankind by saying that within a year he would also do the same thing to Earth. He then offered humankind the only way to prevent all this from happening, which is simply just to KILL him.

Obviously if it were that simple, we wouldn't have a two season anime, right? Killing the tentacled creature seems to be an impossible task for ordinary humans. Not only can he move at Mach 20 speed, to which I check means 20 times faster than the speed of sound. He also has awesome reflexes, a genius intellect, regeneration and camouflaging skill and an absolute defense. Even a nuclear bomb wouldn't do anything to him.

To give mankind a shot at killing him. The tentacled creature to which we would now call as Koro-sensei (a combination of the japanese word 'korosenai' meaning unkillable and 'sensei' as teacher) volunteered to become the homeroom teacher of a bunch of misfit students teaching them the art of assassination. The government then issued a ¥10Billion (around 100 million USD) to whoever among the students can successfully kill him.

Despite sounding like a bloodthirsty, gory, violent twisted anime, Assassination Classroom is surprisingly a lighthearted one. Korosensei is not as evil as one would think. He is a pretty decent guy who just want whats best for his students despite the whole destroying the planet Earth thing.

The show teaches us moral and life lessons as what you would expect in almost all student-teacher relationship genre. Korosensei makes this bunch of misfit students better people one at a time It is also good to note that comedy is also all over the place making it more entertaining and not too boring to watch. The show however relies too heavily on comedy that the story seems to be lacking. Overall I give it a 7.5/10.

  15. Anime Review: Assassination Classroom@thatanimesnob3051d

The premise of the series has to do with a class of losers being forced to kill their tentacle hentai teacher within a year. If they succeed, they will be rich. If they fail, the whole world will be destroyed. It’s silly, it makes no sense, and it’s just an excuse for fantasy empowerment. “Hey low-esteem student watching Assclass. Are you constantly being victimized by your society? Is everybody treating you like you are the scum of the earth, who will never succeed in anything in his life? Well, here’s a show to escape the harsh reality. You get to be an assassin who gets back on his bullies, kills his own teachers, gets lots of money for it, saves the world, and has lots of fun doing repetitive school activities! Thug life!”

And yes, I know it’s a comedy and it doesn’t need to make sense or be pragmatic, but it tries so much to be dramatic with high stakes that you simply can’t see it as a silly past-timer. Everybody has a tragic past but they are constantly doing silly things such as cross-dressing or spying on girls. One moment it’s supposed to be telling you important life lessons, and the immediate next it’s presenting assassination as a cool profession teenagers can go after. Remember kids, be good to your parents, wash your teeth every night, and kill people for a living because this yellow octopus trained you.

I can excuse the nonsense plot or the weak theme exploration, but not its lack of variety. I am not talking about different quirks for each character, it does that, I am referring to motivations. There is only one thing everybody wants to do: Kill the teacher. And there is only one thing the teacher is doing with everyone: Makes them work hard for a better future. It gets so formulaic and repetitive that you feel like you watching the exact same episode again and again.

I mean, yeah, the details change all the time, such as who is trying to kill the teacher, with what method, or in which location, but the end result is the same no matter what. There is always a battle of some sorts, Koro-sensei wins, and he lashes out a message about training hard to be better next time. I can give Assclass the credit of having a focused theme instead of being all over the place. And I like how there is variety in methods and locations. I also like how sometimes the stakes are as low as studying to score high in exams and sometimes they are high where lots of lives are at stake.

The problem is, the resolution is the same, no matter how grave the situation is. Despite the constant tactics and planning everybody seems to be using, the result is whatever the author wants it to be, since superpowers are abused and the laws of physics mean nothing. Koro-sensei has very broken powers, and thus has epic levels of plot armor. Yeah, that changes towards the end but it’s only because the show needs to end and not because someone overpowered him. As for the students using superpowers, it becomes meaningless when there are stuff such as mind control and instant healing. Free will and death lose their meaning, there is never actual tension because no matter what happens it can be easily undone. Thus the characterization is laughably meaningless.

I didn’t feel that in other anime about a teacher, such as Great Teacher Onizuka and Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei. Over there, everybody was doing something outside of a main objective. The students and assassins in Assclass on the other hand are moving like a mob and thus it becomes very hard to see them as individuals. You see them as plot devices rather than people trying to do things differently and thus developing into unique personalities. My point is, having the same goal for everybody is damaging for characterization. I understand that if they fail, the world will be destroyed, but it’s still damaging.

In fact, it goes against the core theme. If the show was promoting teamwork above everything else, I would understand the persistence of a common goal. But the formula of most episodes doesn’t play out as if it’s about working as a team. It’s mostly about a single student or assassin going after the teacher, and along the way showing something tragic in his past that made him the way he is today. What’s the point of individual backdrop stories when the end goal is the same for everyone? They are all moving towards the exact same destination no matter what they do.

What’s the point of the theme being about success when the objective is to kill the teacher? You know everybody will be constantly failing before the last episode. For a premise that is built around making the characters succeed in life, 99% of the duration is about them constantly failing. Also, it is a terrible objective. Nobody wants the planet to blow up, and nobody wants the teacher to die. The ending is either going to be a cop-out or it’s going to not feel like a success.

Beyond all that, it comes down to Assclass having dozens of unnecessary characters. The theme of the series is very specific and simple to need more than a handful for exploring it. In fact, it doesn’t need more than 2, Nagisa and the teacher. All the others are slight alterations of the exact same archetype, and the plot is basically the same in every episode: Work hard for a better future. The problem is, there is not much screen time allocated for each one of them before the focus switches to someone else, thus nobody manages to be memorable, outside the ridiculous design of the yellow octopus. And that is what leaves Assclass as nothing more that yet another forgettable school comedy.

For those who have loved Koro-sensei in the Assasination classroom who will never forget this character Nagisa.

Looking at Nagisa on this movie. I can definitely say that puberty really hit a bigtime on him. He doesn't look feminine now and his voice somehow changed already.

After a few years from Koro-sensei incident Nagisa and Karma went back to where it all started. The classroom of Class 3-E also known as the thrash section. Btw if you haven't watched the series better watch the series first cause the film is just a compilation of the stories in anime.

I will just focus on the animation part since I am just relying on the subbed parts. I cannot really tell if the voice acting is really good or not. But I can really tell the difference now in regards to the character voices :)

Animation is really good. Especially the characters grown up pictures. The only thing though is Karma, the other character is way taller than Nagisa, well that is still okay though.

It has been a year since I watched the anime series and also I finished the manga and damn! both of them gave me feels and streaming it early in the morning is definitely the best decision that I ever did today.

A lot of assassins are cutting onions on the ending part of the movie and without me knowing tears are already falling unto my eyes. It started on this scene attendance.jpg

Wherein he is doing the final roll call of his students and he instructed him to look unto his eyes and answer with a loud voice. I have watched this and I know by heart this scene but still there is something with Koro-sensei that I had loved.

    Should you watch this movie?

For me definitely a YES! However, you will need to watch first the anime before this movie. In that way you will be able to get a grasp of how awesome the series is. Although the movie is somehow a recap of the said series still what I enjoyed on this part is I was able to see the mature version of each students for a short time though :(

More Karma X Nagisa moments also for those who are shipping on them :)

For those who are looking for a second season of the series or a continuation I guess that there is none anymore because the series ended really well and they gave justification on the series.

So how about you have you watched the movie already? If yes can you share me some of your insights about it?
