[ENG] I don't know how to begin this; it's such an underrated glorious piece of art,I don't know where to begin. It was some time ago I saw this anime,Bungo Stray dogs also known as BSD. Its genres are mystery and shonen.

Source Bungo Stray Dogs is a Japanese series written by Kafka Asagirl. It started with its first season sometime in 2022. BSD has its main character as Atsushi, an orphan kicked out of an orphanage after being accused of murdering people midnights. Atsushi is part of the gifted humans and is unaware of his abilities to transform into a tiger. The head of the orphanage is aware of this and insisted on getting him kicked out without letting him know how he murdered the people they said he did. Atsushi is being picked up by the Armed Detective Agency after making a certain deal with Dazai. The Armed Detective Agency is an agency of humans with super abilities set to stop and prevent crime and also solve extremely difficult cases the police can't handle. The Armed Detective Agency battles the port mafia and any other superhuman threats to the people. The port mafia is an underground and illegal organization which carries out a lot of underground or undercover illegal stuff including transportation of illegal good,stealing, kidnapping, illegally raiding a place,etc.

Bungo Stray dogs consists of about four episodes, although the first episode was a bit slow and disjointed,the anime progresses extraordinarily as it goes further. Bungo stray dogs is the main summary of needing a lot of seasons to tell a story. I'll be really honest with you guys when I say the first season wasn't so good,at one point I almost gave up on watching the anime. It has a lot of loose ends, different stories that don't connect with each other and bad humor. You know that kind of situation when someone's trying to force being funny, cracking jokes and all that but they aren't in any way funny but a sad joke? BSD was something like that. But one thing is definite; It gets better, extremely better.

Source In as much as Dazai Osamu gets all the fan's attention,I like going for the characters without heavy fanbase,they are the prettiest,the ones who would listen to me attentively without seeking audience from other fans. Sometimes,I get jealous when someone likes what I like. Does that make me possessive? Probably.

Anyways,I drew Rampo-san. An extraordinary character in the Bungo stray dogs series, unique, genuinely funny,so smart and pretty. Let's talk about the process: First of all,I tried to draw a guide to sketching him. Sometimes, I go against drawing this cause I almost never use them. I honestly have no idea why I drew this.

I proceeded to drawing his eyebrows and eyes.

Started drawing his facial features;the eys,nose, jawline.

Added his ears and his glasses.

It was time to start drawing his hair

Figured I'd better draw in his eyes before completing his hair so I'd be able to shade his hair without being careful of the eyes.

Drew more hair and his shoulders(had the extremely urge to draw his bare body)

Anime: Guys I am well aware of the fact I didn't draw his hat(I was not aware 😭)

I had so much fun drawing this. First of because I had a time limit of 35 minutes set to draw this and secondly cause I was drawing with my 7 years old sister.

I'd like to say once more that Bungo stray dogs is a good anime. Definitely worth watching.

Fuente Bungo Stray Dogs es una serie japonesa escrita por Kafka Asagirl. Comenzó con su primera temporada en algún momento de 2022. BSD tiene como personaje principal a Atsushi, un huérfano expulsado de un orfanato después de ser acusado de asesinar personas a medianoche. Atsushi es parte de los humanos dotados y desconoce sus habilidades para transformarse en un tigre. Me divertí mucho, doctor Impresionante. Primero porque tenía un límite de tiempo de 35 minutos para dibujarlo y segundo porque lo estaba dibujando con mi hermana de 7 años.

Me gustaría decir una vez más que Bungo Stray Dogs es un buen anime. Definitivamente vale la pena verlo.

I am an unconventional person when it comes to watching anime. I say this taking today's movie as an example. Bungo Stray Dogs is one of the top anime of the new generation, one that has been airing from 2016 to the present and has five seasons. The reason why I tell you this is that this movie is set somewhere in between those seasons, the detail is that I haven't seen the anime. Time limits me a lot and I don't have the opportunity to see things that I would like to, that's why I finally decided to watch this film to convince myself of the story of this anime and start watching it from the beginning. I'm telling you, if it's anything like this movie, it's a gem.

Yo soy una persona poco convencional en lo que a la forma de ver anime se refiere. Esto lo digo tomando como ejemplo esta película del día hoy. Bungo Stray Dogs es uno de los animes más top de la nueva generación, uno que está en emisión desde el 2016 hasta la actualidad y cuenta con cinco temporadas. La razón del porqué les digo esto es que esta película está situada en alguna parte entre dichas temporadas, el detalle es que yo no he visto el anime. El tiempo me limita mucho y esa oportunidad de ver cosas que quisiera no la poseo tanto es por esto que decidí finalmente ver este film para convencerme de la historia de este anime y comenzarlo a ver desde el principio. Ya les digo que si es algo parecido a esta película es una joya.

In Yokohama, as in many parts of the world, something unheard of is happening and that is that a strange fog is reaching the cities causing “the gifted”, people with special abilities somewhat supernatural, begin to die. En Yokohama al igual que en muchas partes del mundo está ocurriendo algo inaudito y es que una extraña niebla está llegando a las ciudades haciendo que "los dotados", personas con unas habilidades especiales un tanto sobrenaturales, se comiencen a morir. El tema es que todo apunta a que estas personas se están suicidando pero eso no está del todo claro, hay algo extraño detrás de todo esto que merece y tiene que ser investigado. Es aquí cuando entra la Agencia Armada de Detectives, conformada por dotados también, con la intención de llegar al fondo de todo y descubrir quién es el culpable.

From here begins a path where the main characters, namely Dazai, Atsushi, Chuuya Nakahara and others are put on the trail of all this phenomenon. The villain in all of this is one Tatsuhiko Shibusawa, who is also a kind of gifted but with a different kind of ability that is much darker and more sinister. I have to say that as someone who had not seen the anime I found the movie spectacular both for its animation and character development, the latter being the highlight of this story as many of these characters evolve as the plot progresses. This basically happens because of a series of traumas they all have that makes them see things in different ways.

A partir de acá comienza un camino en donde los personajes principales, dígase Dazai, Atsushi, Chuuya Nakahara y otros más se ponen tras la pista de todo este fenómeno. El villano de todo esto es un tal Tatsuhiko Shibusawa, quien también es una especie de dotado pero con otro tipo de habilidad mucho más oscura y siniestra. Tengo que decir que como alguien que no había visto el anime la película me pareció espectacular tanto por su animación como por el desarrollo de los personajes, esto último es el plato fuerte de esta historia ya que muchos de estos personajes van evolucionando medida que la trama avanza. Esto pasa básicamente por una serie de traumas que tienen todos que los hace ir viendo las cosas de diferentes maneras.

Obviously I don't have all the context of the characters but I can say that they are quite deep and well done, all with very accentuated personalities which makes the story more enjoyable. In the hour and a half of film I could see that, that behind each one there is an important background, engines that move them or slow them down and that little by little they will have to put to work. The plot as such is not boring, it grabs you from minute one, I really like the abilities, each one has one that complements their way of being and with them they face everything. It has a lot of mystery and suspense, having supernatural things makes the viewer get immersed in that dark atmosphere.

Obviamente no tengo todo el contexto de los personajes pero por encima puedo decir que son bastante profundos y bien logrados, todos con personalidades muy acentuadas lo que hace que la historia sea más disfrutable. En la hora y media de película pude ver eso, que detrás de cada uno hay un trasfondo importante, motores que los mueven o frenan y que poco a poco tendrán que poner a andar. La trama como tal es cero aburrida, te atrapa desde el minuto uno, me gusta mucho eso de las habilidades, cada uno tiene una que se complementa con su forma de ser y con ellas hacen frente a todo. Tiene mucho misterio y suspenso, al tener cosas sobrenaturales hace que el espectador se sumerja en ese ambiente sombrío.

The animation is really good, I would say that it is at the level of the great anime, there are fights that dazzle for their mobility, fluidity, for the care of the details, showiness; it is a pleasure to sit and watch everything it offers us. It reminded me a bit of Jujutsu Kaisen, even though this is older. But yes, even in the drama, as I said, but each character has a different burden and that is felt, that internal struggle that they are waging is perceived and generates some empathy. A very human anime and zero emptiness. I am satisfied to have seen it since it encouraged me to watch this anime from the beginning, I have no doubt that it is incredible.

La animación es realmente buena, diría que al nivel de los grandes animes, hay peleas que deslumbran por su movilidad, fluidez, por el cuidado de los detalles, vistosidad; da mucho gusto sentarse y ver todo lo que nos ofrece. Me hizo recordar un poco a Jujutsu Kaisen con todo y que esto es más antiguo. Pero si y es que hasta en el drama, ya lo dije, pero cada personaje tiene una carga distinta y eso se siente, esa lucha interna que van librando se percibe y genera cierta empatía. Un anime muy humano y cero vacío. Estoy satisfecho de haberla visto ya que me animó a ver esta anime desde el principio, no tengo dudas que es increíble.

A film that has it all, animation, suspense, intrigue, good character building and a story that is super attractive. This movie lasts exactly an hour and a half and if you are like me who had not seen the anime, I recommend it, it's a good opener of what this story is really about. Un film que lo tiene todo, animación, suspenso, intriga, buena construcción de personajes y una historia que es super atractiva. Esta película dura hora y media exactamente y si eres como yo que no había visto el anime pues te la recomiendo, es un buen abreboca de lo que es realmente es esta historia. This time I want to share with you my opinion about an anime series that I really like, it's full of action, super charismatic and interesting characters, well-structured plot twists and much more... It is an anime that already has several seasons, it is not relatively new, but not so old, my favorite seasons are the first two, I think it's great how it presents all this new world full of powers ... I think the premise that presents us is quite unique, here in this series we will accompany a detective agency with curious supernatural special abilities, we will see the connections between its members, and their confrontation with the terrible mafia, as well as other equally threatening enemies. This anime also deals with fascinating themes that we can see reflected in today's society, which allows us to empathize with its characters!

Hola!! ¿Cómo les va? Espero se encuentren genial. En esta ocasión quiero compartirles mi opinión sobre una serie anime que me gusta mucho, está llena de acción, unos personajes súper carismáticos e interesantes, giros de guion bien estructurados y mucho más.. Es un anime que ya tiene varias temporadas, no es relativamente nuevo, pero tampoco tan viejo, mis temporadas favoritas son las dos primeras, me parece genial como nos presenta todo este nuevo mundo lleno de poderes.. Pienso que la premisa que nos presenta es bastante única, aquí en esta serie acompañaremos a una agencia de detectives con habilidades especiales sobrenaturales curiosas, veremos las conexiones entre sus integrantes, y su enfrentamiento con la terrible mafia, además de otros enemigos igual de amenazantes. Este anime trata también temas interesantes que podemos ver reflejados en la sociedad actual, lo que permite que podamos empatizar con sus personajes!

This series always looks for a way to excite me, the first season can become a little slow at times, as it introduces us in a slow way to our protagonist and his new companions. The story focuses mainly on Atsushi, a poor orphan boy who possesses a mysterious power, and by fate, ends up joining this detective agency, where each of its members has powers too, now, he must solve crimes with these new colleagues, and defend the city from various attacks. As the season goes by, it is noticeable how the story is getting more rhythm, then in the following seasons things go more smoothly. It should be noted that several characters, as their special abilities are inspired by famous writers, some from Japan, but others more known globally, if you are a fan of literature you can enjoy many the various winks that the series offers you, my personal opinion about this is that it makes the powers very interesting, as it closely relates the power with the most popular work of the actor. Talking a bit about the Port Mafia... they are the main antagonists of this first season, they have very cool powers too, their story and backstory makes you get really hooked in the story. At first I thought that having so many characters with powers for sure was a mistake, something that wouldn't make sense, and I thought it would be hard to balance, but this anime knew very well how to handle the "scale" of power in this story. It's amazing how intelligence is a crucial role in the confrontations, each power has its specific rules and limitations, this makes the battles feel leveled, and making them very interesting.

Esta serie siempre busca la manera de emocionarme, la primera temporada puede volverse un poquito lenta en algunas ocasiones, ya que nos presenta de manera pausada a nuestro protagonista y a sus nuevos compañeros. La historia se enfoca principalmente en Atsushi, un pobre chico huérfano que posee un misterioso poder, y por cosas del destino, termina uniéndose a esta agencia de detectives, donde cada uno de sus miembros tiene poderes también, ahora, deberá resolver crímenes con estos nuevos compañeros, y defender la ciudad de diversos ataques. Mientras pasa la temporada, se nota como la historia va agarrando más ritmo, después en las siguientes temporadas las cosas si van con más fluidez. Cabe destacar que varios personajes, como sus habilidades especiales están inspiradas en escritores famosos, algunos de Japón, pero otros más conocidos globalmente, si eres fan de la literatura puedes disfrutar muchos los diversos guiños que la serie te ofrece, mi opinión personal sobre esto es que vuelve los poderes muy interesantes, ya que relaciona estrechamente el poder con la obra más popular del actor. Hablando un poco de la Port Mafia.. son los principales antagonistas de esta primera temporada, cuentan con poderes muy geniales también, su historia y trasfondo hace que te enganches mucho en la historia. Al principio pensé que tener tantos personajes con poderes seguro era un error, algo que no tendría sentido, y pensé que sería difícil de balancear, pero este anime supo muy bien cómo manejar la “escala” de poder en esta historia. Es increíble como la inteligencia es un papel crucial en los enfrentamientos, cada poder tiene sus reglas y limitaciones específicas, esto hace que las batallas se sientan niveladas, y volviéndolas muy interesantes.

Atsushi, may seem a bit silly at first... he is a shy and inexperienced boy, who curses with all his might the power he didn't choose to have. Being young, it is obvious that this whole world can be something shocking for him, but then as the series goes on, we see how he evolves, how he grows and faces his tragic past, encouraging himself to forge new ties, new bonds, learning to trust and value his companions, he is a character that is growing, you can notice that in the course of the seasons... Other characters I love are Dazai and Fyodor, the latter being a very important character.... But to avoid spoilers, I'd better not talk too much about him. As for Dazai, he seems to me the best character in this series, his whole past is dazzling and tragic, his personality is funny, but at the same time deep and serious at times, he is the mentor of our protagonist, but he doesn't feel like a superior anymore.... He feels different, as if he is a family member who supports you and understands you, and above all, trusts you. He is the badass of this series, he is given several super cool arcs and developments! Another great thing about this anime is that it makes you doubt many things, some mysteries seem really unsolvable, but the second you get a plot twist that you do not expect, and wow, you are surprised ... I was surprised several times, and those are things that I appreciate quite a lot. I feel that one of the best points that this anime has, is the ability to play with good and evil, there are not only good and bad, each organization has their reasons for doing their things... their objectives, even if they are not entirely correct, the way they justify their actions, makes sense most of the time, and we can even see that there is redemption in this series, we have several examples of overcoming and they show us how people can change for the better.

Atsushi, puede parecer algo bobo al principio.. es un chico tímido e inexperto, que maldice con todas sus fuerzas el poder que él no eligió tener. Al ser joven, es obvio que todo este mundo puede ser algo impactante para él, pero luego conforme va transcurriendo la serie, vemos cómo va evolucionando, como va creciendo y enfrentando su trágico pasado, animándose el mismo a forjar nuevos lazos, nuevos vínculos, aprendiendo a confiar y valorar a sus compañeros, es un personaje que va creciendo, eso se puede notar en el transcurso de las temporadas.. Otros personajes que me encantan son Dazai y Fyodor, siendo este último un personaje muy importante.. Pero para evitar spoilers, mejor no hablar mucho de él. En cuanto a Dazai, me parece el mejor personaje de esta serie, todo su pasado es deslumbrante y trágico, su personalidad es divertida, pero a la vez profunda y seria en ocasiones, es el mentor de nuestro protagonista, pero no se siente como un superior más.. Se siente diferente, como si se tratara de un familiar que te apoya y te entiende, y que sobre todo, confía en ti. Es el badass de esta serie, se le dan varios arcos y desarrollos súper geniales! Otra cosa genial de este anime es que te hace dudar de muchas cosas, algunos misterios parecen de verdad no tener solución, pero al segundo te meten un giro de guion que no te esperas, y wow, te sorprendes.. a mí me sorprendió varias veces, y esas son cosas que agradezco bastante. Siento que el uno de los puntos mejores que tiene este anime, es esa capacidad de jugar con el bien y el mal, no hay solo buenos y malos, cada organización tiene sus razones para hacer sus cosas.. sus objetivos, aunque no sean del todo correctos, la manera en las que justifican las acciones, logra tener sentido la mayoría de veces, e incluso podemos ver que existe redención en esta serie, tenemos varios ejemplos de superación y nos muestran como las personas si pueden cambiar para bien.

As for the animation... I really thought it was very good, the animation studio is Bones, a studio that also animates Boku no Hero Academia. I really feel that it captures the tone perfectly and the great action scenes are quite dynamic and enjoyable. The humor, at times, can be a little goofy, or not understandable, it does bring out some smiles at times, but I feel that in serious moments throwing in a joke makes it lose a little bit of the rhythm, and that I think is the biggest mistake of this anime. But the positive thing is that if you try to ignore that, minutes later it rewards you in a very good way, it's not a major problem, or something that can't be tolerated. I give this anime an 8.5/10. Bungou Stray Dogs features interesting and charismatic characters that you can get attached to quickly, cool powers, and plot twists to match. I'm really looking forward to the next season. This series also has a very good soundtrack, the Openings and Endings are very good, thanks to this anime I found a Japanese band called Luck Life that has several themes, especially endings, that I liked enough to add them to my playlist. I share with you my favorite opening of this series, and I hope you will watch it.

En cuanto a la animación.. realmente me pareció muy buena, el estudio de animación es Bones, estudio que también anima Boku no Hero Academia. Realmente siento que capta a la perfección el tono y las geniales escenas de acción, son bastantes dinámicas y disfrutables. El humor, por momentos, puede resultar algo bobo, o no entendible, si te saca algunas sonrisas a veces, pero siento que en momentos serios tirar un chiste hace que se pierda un poco el ritmo, y ese creo que es el mayor error de este anime. Pero lo positivo es que si tratas de ignorar eso, minutos después te recompensa de muy buena manera, no es un problema mayor, o algo que no se pueda tolerar. Le doy a este anime un 8.5/10. Bungou Stray Dogs presenta interesantes y carismáticos personajes, con lo que te puedes encariñar rápido, unos poderes geniales, y giros argumentales a la altura. Espero mucho la siguiente temporada.. Esta serie también tiene una muy buena banda sonora, los Openings y Endings son muy buenos, gracias a este anime encontré a una banda japonesa llamada Luck Life que tiene varios temas, especialmente endings, que me ha gustado lo suficiente para agregarlos a mi playlist. Les comparto mi Opening Favorito de esta serie, y espero se animen a verla.

Hola querida comunidad, un placer escribir este post y dedicárselo al anime que me ha parecido más divertido y peculiar que he visto hasta ahora y se trata de Bungou Stray Dogs, ya que es un anime donde cada personaje es especial y no lo digo por sus habilidades si no por lo que cada uno trasmite y es capaz de hacer para ayudar a sus compañeros y salvar a todo el que pueda sin dejar atrás sus ideales y pensamientos.

This was a show I was a bit late to when it first started airing, and only caught it last year. Seasons one and two were both pretty fantastic. For those unfamiliar with the show, every important character is gifted with some kind of supernatural ability. Our lead character can transform into a weretiger, one character can make an object out of a page in his notebook assuming he understands the objects function and the object is no bigger than the notebook. Then there is the team medic, who is capable of healing any fatal wound, the key word here is fatal. Show up to her with a broken arm, and in order to heal it the injury needs to be made life-threatening.

While season one focused the Port Mafia trying to capture Atsushi, the shows main character. After successfully keeping him safe, Season 2 sees the western group known as 'The Guild' who put the bounty out in the first place come into the picture, forcing The Detective Agency and the Port Mafia to team up in order to stop them from destroying the city.

Season three opens up with some more backstory on one of the show's characters, Dazai. Portrayed so far as one of the most powerful characters in his show, Dazai is capable of nullifying any other gift. Beyond that, he is exceptionally smart and cunning. Here we get to see how he originally joined with the Port Mafia, whereas the previous season we saw his back story on how he went from the Port Mafia to joining with The Detective Agency instead.

This is where things start to get a bit annoying, as not only does his back story not really set up anything for this season, but the actual main plot of this season just feels like it's setting up the antagonist for a future season. Despite the show being three seasons in, and the first two seasons feeling like they told their own story and moved along the plot, we get twelve episodes of set up for another season entirely. Even certain aspects that were introduced at the end of the previous season with a coming disaster, though to be honest, it's not clear if the villain set up here even is that coming disaster. The entire season just feels like nothing has been advanced in the overall story of Bungou Stray Dogs outside of introducing a villain, as well as giving a little bit of backstory on Dazai and the purpose of The Detective Agency.

A second issue that comes up is also that our main character, Atsushi, kind of feels like nothing that happens in this show is really of his own volition. While he technically makes the choices, Dazai seems to be the one pushing him, as well as most everyone else, where he wants them to go. He even gave encouragement to Atushi for the last bit of season 2, and had plans in place working under the assumption that Atsushi would act a certain way, down to some very specific details. It's a bit of a running issue with the show I have in how they make Dazai seem almost unbelievable smart and cunning, without really being able to explain how he knows as much as he does.

That out of the way, there is still a lot to like about this season. As always, there is a lot of really fun fights with characters you come to love. Outside of a couple of people, most of the cast are already characters we have been familiar with for the whole show so far, but despite that, we still have a lot of great fights and moments between them. We get to see some interesting uses of the power of creating objects out of the notebook, as well as more scenes with the illusion based power of Tazinaki and showing why he is a lot more threatening then he first appears. His power has been consistently fun to see used as the show progresses, and I hope they have more in store for him in the future.

Getting back to the negative, however, is our main character and his eternal rival Akutagawa. They've been building this up for a while now, but while they hate each other they have the ability to work together and highly compliment each other due to both of their abilities. The problem with this comes with the fact so many fights and powers that are shown off in Bungou Stray dogs are interesting and clever in their application, at least for the most part. This duo, however, just kind of devolves into 'I can punch you super hard'. It's a bit of a running problem I have with a lot of shows (I'm looking at you My Hero Academia) where the least interesting abilities get the spotlight. Akutagawa has a fair bit of utility on his own, but overall it still devolves into a power game.

I know I have been mostly ragging on this season in the review, and while I think the criticism is very warranted it's still an overall fun show to watch. It may be a let down from previous seasons, but it doesn't stop it from having a lot of great fights and character moments, and some genuinely interesting things going on. While I think you'd be fine to kick back and wait for the next season since this just adds more questions, once that fourth season comes to give this one a watch so that you know what's going on. It's still worth the time.
