Descendants

How fun it is to have the opportunity to submit a series of musical films as an entry to the contest, and yes, I want my entry to be the Disney Descendants franchise, because since the first movie came out I declared myself a total fan of these.

Que divertido es tener la oportunidad de presentar como entrada al concurso una serie de películas musicales, y sí, quiero que mi entrada sea la franquicia de los Descendientes de Disney, porque desde que salió la primer película me declaré totalmente fanática de estas.

According to my logic, I should give a brief description of the basic theme, although I think we all know this series of films because of how popular they have been since their inception.

Descendants is a film series where we see a universe inhabited by the very popular characters from Disney fairy tales and centered on their children. In the first installments we meet the iconic characters of Mal (Daughter of Maleficent), Evie (Daughter of the evil queen from Snow White), Carlos (Son of Cruella de Vil), Jay (Son of Jafar) and Ben (Son of Beauty and the Beast), these are the main characters of the first 3 installments, and throughout these, they face the challenges of being the descendants of Disney's best-known villains, after having been admitted by the academy of Auradon (where the children of princesses and princes study).

Según mi lógica, debo dar una breve descripción del tema básico, aunque creo que todos conocemos esta serie de peliculas por lo populares que han sido desde sus inicios.

Descendientes es una serie de película en donde vemos un universo en el que es habitado por los muy populares personajes de los cuentos de hadas de Disney y centrado en los hijos de ellos. En las primeras entregas conocemos a los icónicos personajes de Mal (Hija de Maléfica), Evie (Hija de la reina malvada de Blancanieves), Carlos (Hijo de Cruella de Vil), Jay (Hijo de Jafar) y Ben (Hijo de La Bella y la Bestia), estos son los personajes principales de las primeras 3 entregas, y a lo largo de estas, se enfrentan a los desafíos de ser los descendientes de los villanos mas conocidos de Disney, luego de haber sido admitidos por la academia de Auradon (donde estudian los hijos de las princesas y principes).

I will place music for each film according to my preferences.

In the first film we see how our main villains are selected by Ben, the heir to the kingdom and who wants to break the bad relations they have with the Isle of the Lost, the place where the villains are kept locked up so that they do not have access to carry their evil to the free world. Their parents take advantage of this situation to steal the fairy godmother's wand, in the process, Ben and Mal fall in love on a beautiful journey to redeem their lives of evil.

Colocaré una música por cada película según mis preferencias.

En la primera película vemos como nuestros villanos principales son seleccionados por Ben, el heredero del reino y quién quiere romper las malas relaciones que tienen con la Isla de los Perdidos, el lugar donde se mantienen encerrados los villanos para que no tengan acceso a llevar su maldad al mundo libre. Sus padres se aprovechan de esta situación para robar la varita del hada madrina, en el proceso, Ben y Mal se enamoran en una bella travesía de redimir sus vidas de maldad.

In Descendants 2, Mal, after suffering the terrible pressure of being the future queen, returns (Escapada) to the island, there she meets the most popular villain of the franchise called "Uma" (daughter of Úrsula), who has many repressions and jealousy of the protagonists, since the only ones who had the pleasure of being able to get out of there were them and no one else. This could be known as the best movie among the top 3.

En Descendientes 2, Mal luego de sufrir la terrible presión de ser la futura reina se devuelve (Escapada) a la isla, allí conoce a la villana mas popular de la franquicia llamada "Uma" (hija de Úrsula), quien tiene muchas represiones y celos de los protagonista, ya que los únicos que tuvieron el gusto de poder salir de allí fueron ellos y nadie más. Esta se podría conocer como la mejor película entre las 3 primeras.

In the third installment, we see how Mal tries to fulfill his promise to make the island's population free once and for all, this is a very good movie in terms of plot, because we see how everyone comes together for a good cause (the good of all), I must admit that it was very difficult for me to choose music for this one since it has several that are exquisite. And although it doesn't go with the theme, I want to emphasize that Cheyenne Jackson as Hades caused me too many emotions not suitable for the general public.

This is considered the hardest film of all, because back in those years when it was released the unfortunate news of the death of Cameron Boyce was announced, this saddened the entire world because he was an actor very loved by many in our childhoods, which We knew each other since Jessie, and even if you don't believe it (or it may seem exaggerated), it made me so sad that I cried when I got so many happy memories that this actor left me. At the end of this movie it broke my heart when they played "In Memory of Cameron Boyce" at the end.

En la tercer entrega, vemos como Mal trata de cumplir su promesa de hacer que la población de la isla sea libre de una vez por todas, esta es una película muy buena en cuanto a la trama, porque vemos cómo todos se unen por una buena causa (el bien de todos), debo admitir que me fue muy difícil elegir una música para esta ya que tiene varias que son exquisitas. Y aunque no va con el tema, quiero recalcar que Cheyenne Jackson como Hades me causó demasiadas emociones no aptas para todo el publico.

Esta es considerada la película más dura de todas, porque allá en aquellos años cuando se estrenó se dio a conocer la lamentable noticia de la muerte de Cameron Boyce, esto entristeció al mundo entero porque fue un actor muy querido por muchos en nuestras infancias, lo conocíamos desde Jessie, y aunque no lo crean (o les parezca exagerado) a mí me entristeció tanto que lo lloré cuando me llegaron tantos recuerdos felices que me dejó este actor. Al final de esta película me quebró el corazón cuando al final colocaron "En memoria de Cameron Boyce".

In the last installment that there was last year, we learned about the story of Red (Daughter of The Red Queen of Wonderland), this story is very good, I saw it without any expectations, since they did not show all the characters we met this franchise, but when I started watching this story I was very glued to the TV. Here we see how Red returns to the past and discovers what happened to his mother, the reason for her madness. With the ending of this last installment of the Descendants universe, it is said that there is a possibility that the main characters from the previous films will return, but so far it is just a rumor.

En la última entrega que hubo el año pasado, conocimos la historia de Red (Hija de La Reina Roja de Wonderland), esta historia es muy buena, yo la vi sin expectativa alguna, ya que no mostraron a todos los personajes con los que conocimos esta franquicia, pero cuando me puse a ver esta historia me quedé muy pegada a la tv. Aquí vemos como Red vuelve al pasado y descubre lo que sucedió a su mamá, el motivo de su locura. Con el final que tuvo esta última entrega del universo de Descendientes, se dice que exista la posibilidad de que vuelvan los personajes principales de las anteriores peliculas, pero hasta ahora es solo un rumor.

The music in these films is a highly important point, since like any musical, it completes the story with its lyrics that tell the feelings that exist at the moment. All the music that is presented there has passion and feelings on the part of its performers. I chose these movies because every day I listen to the ones I like the most, which are Did I Mention, Love Ain't It and What's My Name (Red Version). I'll finish by saying that I hope they confirm the second Rise of Red movie because I really need it, Rita Ora's character definitely earned the title of best Descendants villain.

La música en estas peliculas son un punto altamente importante, ya que como todo musical, completa la historia con sus letras que cuentan los sentimientos que hay al momento. Todas las músicas que se presentan ahí, tienen pasión y sentimientos de parte de sus intérpretes. Elegí estas peliculas porque a diario escucho las que más me gustan que son Did I Mention, Love Ain't It y What's My Name (Red Version). Finalizaré diciendo que espero que confirmen la segunda película del Ascenso de Red porque realmente lo necesito, el personaje de Rita Ora definitivamente se ganó el título de la mejor villana de Descendientes.
