Buenas buenas comunidad de Scrobble, espero que estén teniendo un hermoso día. Por mi ciudad anda todo nublado y lluvioso, pero eso no impide que escriba una buena reseña.
Además, creo que es el clima perfecto para ver una película con una bebida caliente, algo para comer y ver esta bonita película del mundo de Harry Potter.
Empecemos.
🎬 Un poco de contexto
Newt Scamander era un joven magizoólogo británico que se encontraba viajando a los Estados Unidos para liberar a una de las bestias que cuidaba. Él tenía una curiosa maleta donde, al entrar, todo lo de adentro se expandía, y ahí es donde tenía resguardados a sus animales mágicos.
Era su primera vez viajando a este país, así que trató de no levantar sospechas. Mientras paseaba por los alrededores, vio a una mujer hablar sobre la magia y los magos, como si estos fueran algo del diablo, y esto le causó mucha curiosidad.
En eso, uno de sus animales se le escapa de la maleta y, por tratar de atraparlo, termina dentro de un banco hasta llegar a las bóvedas secretas del mismo. Con mucha facilidad y con algunos hechizos, agarró a su escarbato y se lo llevó.
Ahí conoce, sin querer, a Jacob Kowalski, un muggle que estaba en el banco pidiendo un préstamo para abrir su panadería. Por accidente, confunden sus maletas, que eran casi idénticas, y así Jacob termina llevándose la de Newt sin saberlo.
En eso aparece Tina Goldstein, una exauror que trabajaba para la MACUSA (Congreso Mágico de los Estados Unidos de América) y que había presenciado toda la escena. Tina arresta a Newt por usar magia frente a un muggle y se lo lleva a las oficinas de la MACUSA, aunque al final lo dejan libre porque en la maleta que él llevaba solo había panes de Jacob.
Ya en su casa, Jacob abre por curiosidad la maleta de Newt sin saber que era mágica, y varios de los animales escapan hacia las calles de Nueva York; además, uno de ellos lo muerde y le insertó un veneno peligroso.
Tina decide llevarse a Newt para que al día siguiente le dieran su castigo, y como no había otro lugar más seguro que su casa, deciden ir ahí. Ella vivía con su hermana menor, Queenie Goldstein, quien también trabajaba en ese lugar.
Al encontrar a Jacob lo vieron muy enfermo por la mordida, así que deciden llevárselo también para curarlo.
Newt, muy preocupado por sus animales, decide emprender la búsqueda de cada uno de ellos con ayuda de Jacob, mientras que Tina y Queenie van tras ellos para evitar que hagan algo que ponga en juego la integridad tanto de los muggles como de los magos.
¿Podrán encontrar a todos los animales a tiempo? Porque ahora se sospecha fuertemente que los ataques terribles que han estado ocurriendo en la ciudad pueden haber sido causados por estos animales, culpando así a Newt.

♥ Lo que más me gustó
Esta película es una de mis favoritas. En mi caso, me sentí muy triste cuando terminó toda la saga de Harry Potter, pero al saber que grabarían esta película especialmente para hablar sobre los animales mágicos, me dio mucha alegría.
Esta película básicamente te da un pantallazo de los muchos animales que hay en el mundo mágico, que gracias a Newt se pudieron documentar, y se crearon libros para que los magos sepan cómo cuidarlos.
Pero esta historia también se mezcla con los inicios de lo que sería la revolución de Gellert Grindelwald, un tenebroso mago que buscaba que los magos tuvieran el poder y no siguieran ocultándose como ratas en un mundo lleno de muggles.
Dentro de las partes que más me gustaron está cuando se muestran todos los ambientes que había dentro de la maleta de Newt: podemos ver vastas planicies que, dependiendo de los animales, cambiaban de clima, textura, color y más.
Me gusta ver reunidos a tantos animales interesantes que se parecían un poco a los comunes que existen en la Tierra, como leones, rinocerontes, monos, insectos, entre otros.
Hay uno en especial que me gustó mucho: los Mooncalf, que se parecen un poco a una llama por tener el cuello largo, tienen ojos grandes y son muy adorables. En esta escena, Jacob los alimenta con lo que parece ser unas burbujas.
Otra escena que me encantó fue cuando Tina y Queenie alistan la cena para Newt y Jacob. Ya quisiera yo tener esos poderes y cocinar cosas ricas, jeje.
Una escena realmente linda que te hace antojar.
Dentro de las escenas graciosas, la que más me gusta es cuando deben atrapar a ese animal parecido a un rinoceronte (un Erumpent) que siente una gran atracción por Jacob, porque se le había echado encima, por error, una especie de perfume seductor, justo cuando la hembra estaba en celo.
Así que este animal lo corretea por todas partes y causa estragos; por poco Jacob termina aplastado, jeje.
Este actor es único en verdad, jeje. Me encanta su risa, es muy graciosa, y la hace cuando está muy nervioso o cuando no sabe cómo reaccionar.
Y, por último, la parte donde Newt y Tina se despiden y se siente claramente esa atracción entre ambos: se gustaban mucho y, como ambos eran muy tímidos, no decían nada, pero se preocupaban el uno por el otro.
¡Ah! Obviamente la escena de la panadería, cuando Jacob logra abrirla y empieza a crear raras formas de panes que terminaron gustándole a la gente, y así fue consiguiendo muchísima clientela. También aparece Queenie, quien se había enamorado de él, pero debido a la lluvia del olvido, Jacob no la reconocía, o eso es lo que parecía.
💭 Algunas reflexiones
Ahora, si hablamos de la otra trama de la película, la de Credence, un joven que resultó esconder un poder mágico sumamente peligroso: un Obscurus. Es también muy interesante toda esta historia.
Grindelwald, disfrazado como Percival Graves —el Director de Seguridad Mágica de la MACUSA—, estaba haciendo de las suyas para encontrar a ese mago que tuviera ese poder peligroso y así causar daño en la ciudad, con el principal objetivo de que los magos gobernaran y, si era necesario, matar a cuantos muggles se interpusieran.
Habían tardado mucho tiempo en averiguar quién poseía estos poderes, porque se creía que era un niño, pero resultó ser este joven.
Lo que me pareció muy triste fue que Credence fue abandonado hace mucho tiempo y lo acogió una familia, pero su trato hacia él era de lo peor: siempre golpeándolo y tratándolo muy mal. La mujer que decía ser su madre, Mary Lou, temía y odiaba la magia, y sospechaba que Credence la poseía, por eso lo maltrataba tratando de reprimirla.
Y era ella también quien salía a las calles a hablar sobre estos temas e incitar a los demás a odiar a los magos, porque sí existían y estaban entre ellos.
Al final, por su culpa —por tratar de ayudar y defender a este joven— fue que Tina perdió su empleo. Mary Lou, por su parte, tuvo un final peor, que quizá se merecía, pero que terminó marcando profundamente a Credence.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)
Good day, Scrobble community, I hope you are having a beautiful day. In my city, it's all cloudy and rainy, but that doesn't stop me from writing a good review.
Moreover, I think it's the perfect weather to watch a movie with a hot drink, something to eat, and enjoy this beautiful Harry Potter film.
Let's get started.
🎬 A little context
Newt Scamander was a young British magizoologist who was traveling to the United States to release one of the beasts he cared for. He had a curious suitcase where, upon entering, everything inside expanded, and that's where he kept his magical animals safe.
It was her first time traveling to this country, so she tried not to raise any suspicions. While strolling around, she saw a woman talking about magic and wizards as if they were something from the devil, which piqued her curiosity.
At that moment, one of her animals escaped from the suitcase, and while trying to catch it, she ended up inside a bank, reaching its secret vaults. With great ease and some spells, he caught his Niffler and took it away.
There, he unknowingly meets Jacob Kowalski, a Muggle who was at the bank asking for a loan to open his bakery. By accident, they confuse their suitcases, which were almost identical, and thus Jacob ends up taking Newt's without knowing it.
At that moment, Tina Goldstein, a former Auror who worked for MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) and had witnessed the entire scene, appears. Tina arrests Newt for using magic in front of a muggle and takes him to the MACUSA offices, although in the end, they let him go because the suitcase he was carrying only contained Jacob's bread.
Back at his house, Jacob opens Newt's suitcase out of curiosity, unaware that it was magical, and several of the animals escape into the streets of New York; moreover, one of them bites him and injects a dangerous poison.
Tina decides to take Newt with her so that he can receive his punishment the next day, and since there was no safer place than her home, they decide to go there. She lived with her younger sister, Queenie Goldstein, who also worked at that place.
When they found Jacob, he was very sick from the bite, so they decided to take him as well to heal him.
Newt, very worried about his animals, decides to embark on the search for each of them with Jacob's help, while Tina and Queenie go after them to prevent them from doing anything that could jeopardize the integrity of both muggles and wizards.
Will they be able to find all the animals in time? Because it is now strongly suspected that the terrible attacks that have been occurring in the city may have been caused by these animals, thus blaming Newt.

♥ What I liked the most
This movie is one of my favorites. In my case, I felt very sad when the entire Harry Potter saga ended, but knowing that they would make this movie specifically to talk about magical animals brought me a lot of joy.
This movie basically gives you a glimpse of the many animals in the magical world, which thanks to Newt were documented, and books were created so that wizards know how to take care of them.
But this story also intertwines with the beginnings of what would become the revolution of Gellert Grindelwald, a dark wizard who sought for wizards to have power and not continue hiding like rats in a world full of muggles.
Among the parts I liked the most is when all the environments inside Newt's suitcase are shown: we can see vast plains that, depending on the animals, changed in climate, texture, color, and more.
I like seeing so many interesting animals gathered together that resembled some of the common ones found on Earth, like lions, rhinoceroses, monkeys, insects, among others.
There is one in particular that I liked a lot: the Mooncalf, which look a bit like a llama because of their long necks, have big eyes, and are very adorable. In this scene, Jacob feeds them what appears to be some bubbles.
Another scene that I loved was when Tina and Queenie prepare dinner for Newt and Jacob. I wish I had those powers and could cook delicious things, hehe.
A really lovely scene that makes you crave.
Among the funny scenes, the one I like the most is when they have to catch that rhinoceros-like animal (an Erumpent) that feels a great attraction to Jacob because a kind of seductive perfume was accidentally thrown on him just when the female was in heat.
So this animal chases him everyplace and causes havoc; Jacob almost ends up crushed, haha.
This actor is truly one of a kind, hehe. I love his laugh, it's very funny, and he does it when he's really nervous or when he doesn't know how to react.
And finally, the part where Newt and Tina say goodbye and that attraction between them is clearly felt: they liked each other a lot and, since they were both very shy, they didn't say anything, but they cared for each other.
Ah! Obviously, the bakery scene, when Jacob manages to open it and starts creating strange shapes of bread that people ended up liking, and that's how he gained a lot of customers. Queenie also appears, who had fallen in love with him, but due to the rain of forgetfulness, Jacob didn't recognize her, or so it seemed.
💭 Some reflections
Now, if we talk about the other plot of the movie, that of Credence, a young man who turned out to hide an extremely dangerous magical power: an Obscurus. This whole story is also very interesting.
Grindelwald, disguised as Percival Graves —the Director of Magical Security at MACUSA— was up to his tricks to find that wizard who had that dangerous power and thus cause harm in the city, with the main objective of having wizards rule and, if necessary, kill any muggles who got in the way.
They had taken a long time to find out who possessed these powers, because it was believed to be a child, but it turned out to be this young man.
What I found very sad was that Credence was abandoned a long time ago and was taken in by a family, but their treatment of him was the worst: always hitting him and treating him very badly. The woman who claimed to be his mother, Mary Lou, feared and hated magic, and suspected that Credence possessed it, which is why she mistreated him in an attempt to suppress it.
And it was she who also took to the streets to talk about these issues and incite others to hate wizards, because they did exist and were among them.
In the end, it was her fault —for trying to help and defend this young man—that Tina lost her job. Mary Lou, for her part, had a worse ending, which she perhaps deserved, but which ended up deeply marking Credence.
