Hello, Internet people. Today I want to tell you about one of my favorite movies and it is Freaky Friday. It's a 2003 Disney movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.
Hola, gente de Internet. Hoy quiero hablarles de una de mis películas preferidas y se trata de Freaky Friday. Película de 2003 perteneciente a Disney y la cual protagonizan Jamie Lee Curtis y Lindsay Lohan.
The story begins with Ana and her mother, who do not get along at all well, since after the death of her father, Ana became more rebellious and her mother less understanding, which leads them to have constant conflicts. One night, while dining at a Chinese restaurant, they are victims of an ancestral spell through a fortune cookie and both change their bodies. This is how each one must try to pretend to be the other and that remains an attempt because they do a lousy job (which brings laughter from the viewer).
La historia da inicio con Ana y su mamá, las cuales no se llevan para nada bien ya que a raíz de la muerte de su padre, Ana se hizo más rebelde y su madre menos comprensiva, lo que les lleva a tener conflictos constantemente. Una noche, mientras cenaban en un restaurante chino, son victimas de un hechizo ancestral a través de una galleta de la fortuna y ambas cambian de cuerpo. Es así como cada una debe intentar fingir ser la otra y eso queda en intento porque lo hacen pésimo (lo que acarrea las risas del espectador)
The story is very well grounded, the characters have an excellent development and before the change of personalities, they leave us quite clear the personalities of both protagonists so that we clearly notice the change. I must say that switching characters while you are supposed to pretend to be your main character is quite a difficult thing to do and both actresses pull it off almost perfectly. There are some characters like Jake that are practically shoehorned in as well as Ana's stepfather, however this one has much more development.
La historia está muy bien fundamentada, los personajes tienen un excelente desarrollo y antes del cambio de personalidades, nos dejan bastante clara las personalidades de ambas protagonistas para que claramente notemos el cambio. Debo decir que intercambiar personajes mientras se supone que hay que fingir ser tu personaje principal es algo bastante difícil de hacer y ambas actrices lo logran casi a la perfección. Hay algunos personajes como Jake que están metidos prácticamente como calzador al igual que el padrastro de Ana, sin embargo este tiene mucho más desarrollo.
The cinematography in my personal opinion is quite simple, however it handles good shots, such as wide, transition and split shots. I think that would be the highlight in this aspect.
La fotografía en mi opinión personal es bastante simple, sin embargo maneja buenos planos, como los amplios, los de transición y los divididos. Creo que eso sería lo más destacable en este aspecto.
The soundtrack is quite good and my favourite part, which is clearly where this aspect comes from, is the performances in the club. The song is great, the guitar solo is awesome, and the way they resolved the situation was fantastic.
La banda sonora es bastante bueno y mi parte preferida y que es claro de donde forma parte de este aspecto es la de la presentación en el club. La canción es genial, el solo de guitarra también lo es, y la forma como resolvieron la situación fue estupenda.
The humor is also very good, all the jokes and gags give a lot of laughs, even if you already know the dialogues of the movie, they still give a lot of laughs which makes you think that evidently each one was very well thought out and made to age well.
El humor también es muy bueno, todos los chistes y bromas dan mucha risa, incluso si ya te sabes los diálogos de la película, siguen dando mucha risa, lo que hace pensar que evidentemente cada uno estuvo muy bien pensado y hechos para envejecer bien.
