    English

Then Peter came to him and said, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother who sins against me, even seven times? Jesus said to him, 'Not seven times, but seventy times seven'". Matthew 18:21-22.

Blessings to all the Hive Community Today I wanted to bring you a beautiful movie that talks about obedience to God, Forgiveness and True Love. It is a very touching movie. Directed by D.J. CARUSO, based on the Romantic Novel by Francine Rivers, it is about REDEEMING LOVE/ AMOR REDENTOR 2022..

    What is it about?

Set in the decade of 1835, the film begins with some men looking for gold, then go to spend it in a brothel, where they draw lots to see who will sleep with Angel, the most coveted prostitute for any man in that town in California. She was certainly beautiful and different from the others, she did not talk much, she did not complain, she had no soul, her life was empty, product of so much violence she lived since she was 9 years old, when her mother dies, and she realizes that her father never loved her, since she was the product of a relationship outside marriage, she was sold to the owner of a brothel nicknamed Duke, Angel, now grown up, meets again with her father in the brothel, who pays for her, then she tells him that she is his daughter and he commits suicide thinking that he just had sex with his daughter. Angel escapes with Salem's help on a boat to California. There she had to keep prostituting herself in order to eat and sleep. Until she meets Michael Hosea, a man who will change her life, well so far the story, see it is wonderful.

    Characters

    • ABIGAIL COWEN: In the role of Angel or Sarah.

    • TOM LEWIS: In the role of Michel Hosea.

    • ERIC DANE: In the role of Duke.

    • FAMKE JANSSEN: In the role of Duchess.

    Personal Opinion

It is a really beautiful film, which makes you reflect because it is so difficult to forgive, we are blinded by anger, hatred and resentment, we are not able to see beyond our noses. In Angel's case, his life has always been full of misfortunes. At the age of 9 he loses his mother, and stops believing in God and throws the chain with the Crucifix into the water, and as an adult Michael comes into his life and falls in love with her, he did not care what she was, he forgave her, over and over again. With his love for God he frees Sarah from the darkness, from the darkness where she was. It was very touching the scene when Paul cries for Angel to forgive him for the betrayal against his brother and she tells him I already forgive you, with so much forgiveness I have received. I want to highlight the performance of (Abigail Cowen) as Angel or Sarah which was her real name, but she never told anyone, because it was the only thing they could not take from her, very beautiful actress as well as (Tom Levis) in the role of Michael Hosea beautiful chemistry between the two, I really liked their end, the reunion and the security he had that she would return.

It is a film that addresses the reality of people who abuse their authority against vulnerable people. As well as the pedophilia that is rampant throughout the world. Abortion, among others, mostly people lacked good feelings. As the movie says not all that glitters is gold, it is true that life is not easy and many times we have had strong tests but GOD is always there, helping us to get up, saying go ahead.

To finish I want to leave one of the best phrases I have read this time expressed by Evangelist Marten Visser, who says that our lifestyle is compared to the clothes we wear, there are clothes to take off: anger, slander, malice, and shameful language. (Colossians Verse08), says that your new closet should consist of compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, patience, tolerance and forgiveness (Colossians Verses 12 and 13) and then in the (Colossians Verse 14) And above all this, clothe yourselves with love. Love is the coat that covers everything. Love is the bond that holds all those other good traits together. Well friends I hope you watch and enjoy this movie I recommend it and let me know what you think, Kisses and Hugs.

                      "GOD'S LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL."

  2. Redeeming Love || Having a background of being ostracised by society!@cute-cactus1424d

There is no such thing as love, and if there was, it died and the municipality buried it!

I have always thought that this nursery rhyme, which I have been familiar with since my childhood, symbolises those who do not believe in love.

There is no such thing as love, or there is. As with many emotions, it is a relative concept. In my opinion, "there is no love", and today it is "dead" and replaced by interest relations. I also accept that the situation will change "according to me" or "according to you".

    [source](https://www.themoviedb.org/t/p/w533_and_h300_bestv2/lD8dFIk9wDEvOwZw0RB47e346io.jpg)

The 2022 film Redeeming Love is in the drama, romantic category, but it is a film about the love of the characters Angel (played by Abigail Cowen) and Michael Hosea (played by Tom Lewis).

Although the film does not take the audience to the peaks of love in general, it reflects the effects of possible love before and after. And it painfully reminds the audience of the fact that the mistakes made by a person in the past will constantly confront him.

Mistakes made in the past definitely affect the future life negatively. Of course, it is also related to the size of the mistake and how many people know about it. Even if you want to start a new life and want to do it in a place where no one knows you, the past will never leave you. Redeeming Love reminds the audience of this during the viewing of the film and this feature makes the film an "extraordinary love" film by removing the film from the scope of an ordinary love, drama, romantic film.

    [source](https://www.themoviedb.org/t/p/w500_and_h282_face/zXeExj1zL3ee5msYpWy5sjeUJX7.jpg)

Let us return to the magnitude of the past mistake and illustrate it a little. Let's take someone who stole in the past and was caught and imprisoned. Although he has served his sentence after the theft he committed, his "criminal record" never leaves him alone and constantly confronts him in his new life. Let's take someone who has done the same theft but has never been caught, he does not face any problems because he has not been caught and no one knows about his mistake. The place where he is responsible is his conscience when he puts his head on his pillow. As soon as he manages to silence his conscience, he has the potential to do anything. And I think one of the most dangerous types of people is the one who gets away with it. As long as he gets away with it, he will constantly drag new mistakes along with him.

The mistake I mentioned in the film Redeeming Love is not "theft"! That was just an example for comparison. The mistake in the film is Angel's past as a "prostitute" in a brothel. A child born out of wedlock is left in the middle after his mother dies. Of course, the vultures immediately flock to the scene and when Angel is only 8 years old, they sell him for 85 grams of gold.

Do these scenes at the beginning of the film remind you of anything? What it reminds me of is a limitless imagination of how people can turn ugly towards them when they are orphaned and powerless. There really is no limit to what we can do as human beings, and this limitlessness is often utilised to disrupt other lives.

    [source](https://www.themoviedb.org/t/p/w500_and_h282_face/t65Ug6pcWJCQVbU1J1dJnIHmW5P.jpg)

Fortunately, we have characters of high character like Michael Hosea! While many people queue up to be with Angel and participate in the lottery, he also queues up, but not to be with Angel! To convince her to leave the common house and marry him! This was a bit strange because the expectation was that Angel would agree immediately. But experience starting at the age of 8 made her cautious about what men wanted and how they might behave.

And the past that will never let him go!

Living without looking back and without thinking ahead is the path chosen by those who have completely lost hope. This is only a symptom of "living in the moment" because in the memory "yesterday does not exist, tomorrow is uncertain", there is only "that moment". It is difficult for those who have no hope to persuade someone to get out of the quagmire they are stuck in. Taking the hand of someone who has hope is the easiest way to pull them out of the swamp, but with someone who has no hope, you have to instil hope in them first. And you have to hold the hand for a long time.

The character of Paul (played by Logan Marshall-Green) was the one that got on my nerves the most throughout the film, which is a tug of war of complex emotions. In order to be someone who stabs the person called "my brother" in the back, one must have a highly corrupt character and inhuman desires. Apparently, Paul and those who have his character have these qualities in abundance.

How much can a person be disturbed by the past that haunts him/her and the abusive looks, words and insinuations of everyone around him/her in relation to that past? Moreover, how much does the fact that this process will never be completed change the perspective on the future? And how much can the effect of the first sunrise with a loved one suppress negativity? All these are questions that come to my mind during the viewing of the film Redeeming Love, which has a viewing time of 2 hours and 14 minutes, and are difficult to answer. You can generate new questions while watching, but I warn you that you will have difficulty answering them.

  3. Redeeming Love 2022, Movie Review@esther-emmanuel1580d

    IMG_20220301_123034.jpg Source

Redeeming Love is an American Christian romance movie that was released on the 21st of January in 2022 with Universal studios as its distributor. This movie was adapted from the book 'Redeeming Love' by Francine River who is an American author that specializes in writing Christian themes, historical themes, and romance. The book was first published in 1991, after which more publishing was done.

The movie was directed by D. J. Caruso which was also written by both Francine Rivers and D. J. Caruso. A lot of people have yearned for this movie to be produced for a long time and it was finally done. Seeing the first trailer, assured me that the movie was truly coming out because I thought it was just a rumor. I have waited anxiously for this movie because I wanted to see all I had read in the book itself come to life.

    Little Synopsis

The setting of the movie was in the 1850s (American Old West) in California during the Gold Rush which added more intensity to the plot. The plot of this movie revolves around the two main characters, that is; Sarah aka Angel, and Michael Hosea.

As a child, Sarah overheard that her father Alex Stanford didn't want her and blamed her mother, Mae for letting her exist at first. She then learns that her mother was a mistress to her father and in an abusive relationship with him. Sarah watched her mother grief and how she sold all they had just to survive but still it was enough to take care of them both. Eventually, her mother died, rejected by the man she loved.

Sarah was later sold to prostitution in California at the age of eight. She started to go by the name Angel which was given to her by the man who bought her. Life went on, but day by day, Angel became used to her lifestyle. On a fateful day, At the age of eighteen, Angel meets her father Alex as a client. Knowing fully well that he is her father, Angel had sex with him punish him for all the things he had done to her and her mother. The next morning, Alex found out that she had just had sex with his daughter because of this he cried bitterly and kill himself.

Michael, a 26-year-old prosperous farmer, saw Angel for the first time and he was captured by her beauty. Then God ordered him to marry her. It came as a surprise to Michael, but he went after Angel regardless. The only way he could get to her was to pay money as a client like other men yearning to have her. So when it was his turn he would go up to her room to see her. The first time meeting with her, he told her that he was not interested in sleeping with her but he wanted to talk to her and his wife. This pursuit continued this way until Angel finally gave in to him. Michael took her home to be his wife but would not touch her. So these actions made Angel curious, afraid and it made her not fully trust him.

Angel, feeling insecure about herself ran away, but Michael didn't go after her because he gave her free will to choose between her past life or him. This tussle continued until finally she returned home to Michael and professed her unconditional love to him. Then Michael came to know Angel as Sarah which was her real name.

    My Opinion About The Movie

Watching this movie was so emotional for me because at the end of the movie I cried. I don't usually cry when watching movies but the only movie that made me cry the way I did was ' The Gladiator, 2000' with the starring actor, Russell Crowe.

Redeeming Love depicts the concept of love and how to love someone genuinely. These days people say 'I love you to either stab you in the back or get into your pants. Those three words are overrated. Also, this movie doesn't just depict the true meaning of love, it also describes the love of God towards us all. Love doesn't hurt, love doesn't crush, love doesn't give you pain but instead, it gives a will, it gives you a choice, it gives happiness, and above all, it forgives and gives you a sense of refuge. Watching this movie brought my attention back to a lot of things that I had inculcated in life since I read the book in 2016. It was a refresher for me.

The movie was well planned, all the scenes written in the book brought to life exactly the way it was written in the book. The setting of the movie was fantastic and well depicted the way it was in the book. All the characters blended well with the parts and they all did well. One of my favorite scenes in the movie was when Angel finally returned to Michael to be his wife till death. The most satisfying scene for me was when the man who bought Angel when she was eight died by hanging. Karma caught up with him on a tight scale.

My favorite character in the movie is Michael Hosea. He reminds me of how to have patience and self-control when dealing with people. Also, his strong character depicts how a father should be to his daughter and how a husband should be to his wife.

    My Ratings and Recommendations

I would recommend this movie to everyone because I feel you all need to see it to help redefine values and beliefs in life.

I rate this movie with 4.5 stars, but I would have rated it with 5 stars because nothing is perfect and imperfections make uniqueness. The music attached to the movie was touching and I have been trying to download it, but I can't find it! 😤.

I hope you all take some time out to see this movie and if possible, please read the book first before watching the movie. I will be leaving the link to the book and the link to the trailer of the movie.
