So I finally finished Snowpiercer, the TV series, and I have to say , this one really got me, If you don't know the story, it is set after the world has frozen over, the only people left alive are on a train that never stops moving, going round and round the earth forever, the rich people are living well in the front cars, and the poor ones are packed together in the back, eating strange food and struggling to survive, It sounds simple, but the way the story is told, you feel every bit of the unfairness.

The most interesting thing for me was the set up itself, Every episode felt like it was a step up in the fight, and going car-by-car to the people in charge, and each car of the train had its own little world, an aquarium car, a night club car even an outdoor part where they grow plants, I just wanted to keep watching to see what the next car would be.

I know some people say that the middle of season one is slow, especially the murder part, but I didn't mind it, it allowed the show to develop the world properly and make us get to know the characters better than just rushing from battle to battle, some shows try to do exactly that, but this one takes its time to build the world properly, I respect that.
I also loved this show because the actors are great as well, I loved Jennifer Connelly as Melanie, the train owner, she acted really strong and in control, but you could tell she had something on her mind, even though she didn't say much, and Daveed Diggs as Layton, he was not a perfect hero in this show, he was tired, and doing what he had to, without a choice.
Visually, this show is beautiful, the back of the train looks dirty and hopeless, while the front looks bright and comfortable, almost like a different world entirely, you don't even need dialogue to understand the class difference you just see it in how each section looks.
People will compare it to the original movie, and yes, the movie is shorter and moves faster, but I think the show does something the movie couldn't it gives the story more space to grow, more characters to care about, more of the train to explore, that is what kept me hooked, honestly.

Overall, it is a show that will keep you engaged even if some parts are more slow-paced than others, the world they've created is beautifully made and the characters are excellently acted, so if you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it to you. I really liked this one.
Rating: 96/100

Name - Snowpiercer TV Series Released - 2020 Creators - Graeme Manson & Josh Friedman It was a couple of months back since my review of the Snowpiercer film that I absolutely loved and I have now finished the 3rd series of the netflix TV series of the same name. I love the idea of there being some *extinction level* event and boarding a train sounds pretty feasible in an old fashioned sort of way. If you have been o…More
Name - Snowpiercer Released - 2013 Director - Bong Joon-ho It was recommended to me in the comments of one of my previous posts and I got round to finish watching the movie yesterday on Netflix. I've also started watching the newer Netflix series too, which I will give my verdict on another post, however, back to the film. I didn't know what to expect, it is classified as a post-apocalyptic movie and it also seemed…More

Source Currently I have been following this series called Snowpiercer, which is available on Netflix, and has 2 complete seasons and a third season in progress, in its chapter number 4, for which there are still a few chapters to finish this third season. It may not be a cult series, but certainly the development of its story can hook the plot of the same. The premiere of this series was on May 17, 2020, under the d…More
A couple of weeks ago when we were discussing Netflix and its success, someone in the comments brought up Snowpiercer TV series. I have seen Snowpiercer, the movie before and remember it as one of the great movies. When I heard there was a TV show with the same name and the storyline, I had to look it up. Unfortunately, it wasn't available on Netflix, at not in the US. But I found the show on HBO+. On HBO+ there are…More
I just found out that literally a month later, or rather on January 24, the third season of Snowpiercer will start. Due to the disaster that happened, the Earth has been in an ice age for several years. The series takes place seven years after the incident. The remnants of mankind are in a huge train, driving non-stop through the snow on the planet. A rigid hierarchy reigns inside the train, and the oppressed poor p…More
For a while now, I have been meaning to write about the shows I have been watching. Rick and Morty season 5 is nearing its end. Among the hot stuff, I have watched Loki and finished watching "What If" episode 4 today. I had been gifted a Disney+ account by a friend of mine. So the most shows I have been watching are from this platform. Came across Star Wars – The Bad Batch while exploring and gave it a go. Though I…More
I had noticed Snowpiercer) on Netflix, but was not sure if it was something I would be into. In the end I gave it a go and I am glad I did. The show is based on a 2013 film that was a comic adaptation. I am not sure I heard about it at the time. The Earth has become uninhabitable after humans cause a new ice age that no life can cope with. A few thousand people board a massive train created by billionaire Mr Wilfred…More

I was recently recommended a Netflix series, it was recommended to me as an extremist series that could glimpse what could happen to humanity and how our future could be; this series is Snowpiercer, a series based on another movie with the same name, which I had no idea it existed until last weekend that I was told about it. I must say that it is not the kind of TV shows I usually watch, because to tell the truth I…More
I heard about this series I think that two days before its release, I had no idea that they had made a series of an excellent film like Snowpiercer, so I set out to see the trailer and the truth is that I expected something better, but still I set out to see it and well, it's a total disappointment. Snowpiercer is an excellent film that shows us a post-apocalyptic world where everyone is practically frozen, there ar…More
