Hola a todos mis queridos amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, hace unos días mi hermana me mostró un edit de TikTok de una película de los 90s dirigida por Alan Shapiro dónde la protagonista es Alicia Silverstone y me pareció interesante ver de qué trataba la película y además saber cómo terminaba, se llama The Crush en inglés o Veneno en la piel (como al parecer es su nombre en Español aunque en muchas páginas varía el nombre) y el protagonista de la película es Cary Elwes el cual conozco por la película de Saw donde hace también un papel principal. La verdad es que me llamo la idea de que en esta película pusieran a un adulto y una adolescente en una situación que se puede dar mucho cómo lo es una relación romántica, el caso es que ¿Él cómo adulto pondrá los límites que se necesitan? ¿Respetara que solo es una adolescente? ¿O ella hará que este juego de seducción vaya mucho más lejos? Aquí les hablaré de mi opinión.
Hello everyone my dear friends of the Movies & Tv community, a few days ago my sister showed me a TikTok edit of a movie from the 90s directed by Alan Shapiro where the protagonist is Alicia Silverstone and I found it interesting to see what the movie was about and also to know how it ended, it is called The Crush in English or Veneno en la piel (as apparently is its name in Spanish although in many pages the name varies) and the protagonist of the film is Cary Elwes which I know from the movie Saw where he also plays a leading role. The truth is that I called the idea that in this movie they put an adult and a teenager in a situation that can be given much as it is a romantic relationship, the case is that he as an adult will put the limits that are needed? Will he respect that she is only a teenager? Or she will make this game of seduction to go much further? Here I will tell you my opinion.
Adrian Forrester (Alicia Silverstone) es una adolescente muy bonita con toda una vida llena de medallas y lujos la cual vive con sus padres y aparenta ser una joven muy tranquila que tiene una mejor amiga y que le interesan las competiciones de caballos y las cosas que las adolescentes comunes hacen. Pero todo empieza a cambiar cuando un extrano hombre alquila la casa de atrás que le pertenece a sus padres, este hombre llama mucho su atención de una manera que no puede dejar de pensar en el por lo que decide tomar la iniciativa y acercarse a él. Nick Eliot (Cary Elwes) es un hombre que trabaja para una editorial y se dedica a escribir artículos, tiene que encontrar un nuevo hogar por lo que le parece buena idea que mientras está en la ciudad quedarse en la casa de atrás de los Forrester será lo mejor para él. Aunque las cosas empiezan a cambiar cuando Adrian se acerca a el con intenciones de formar una amistad, cosa que le parece extraña porque el le lleva el doble de edad y no entiende porque alguien tan joven quisiera estar con el, también piensa en que si los padres de Adrian descubren esta "amistad" las cosas se pueden malinterpretar y complicar para él.

Esta historia ya se hablado en otras películas y series dónde hay jóvenes que se interesan por personas mayores que ellas y en esta película lo muestran detalladamente. Se puede ver cómo una chica que tiene un buen aspecto físico y parece ser ingenua hace cosas totalmente opuestas y que te dejan sorprendido. Adrian tiene una especie de obsesión por Nick, quiere tener una relación con el, se imagina siendo su novia pero esto llega hasta el punto de la obsesión donde ella empieza actuar de manera destructiva y comienza a perjudicar la vida de Nick y también a las personas que se intenten acercar a él y que ella crea que sea por algo romántico. Realmente si creo que existan jóvenes que puedan ser seducidos por alguien adulto, pero también después de ver está pelicula se que hay algunos que tienen una mente psicópata que los lleva a cometer muchas locuras con la escusa de que están enamorados.

You can see how a girl who has a good physical appearance and seems to be naive does totally opposite things that leave you surprised. Adrian has a kind of obsession for Nick, she wants to have a relationship with him, she imagines herself being his girlfriend but this gets to the point of obsession where she starts acting destructively and starts hurting Nick's life and also the people who try to get close to him and she thinks it is because of something romantic. I really do believe that there are young people who can be seduced by someone adult, but also after watching this movie I know that there are some who have a psychopathic mind that leads them to commit many crazy things with the excuse that they are in love.
En este caso Adrian se puede ver cómo una persona que no está completamente cuerda, ya que planifica y tiene ideas obsesivas que hacen que ella cometa actos atroces como el llegar a lastimar a otras personas y también así misma por qué está "enamorada" y bueno las cosas obviamente no terminan del todo bien, salen varias personas afectadas por la obsesión de Adrian y también hay escenas muy explícitas dónde se ven ciertos tipos de altares que ella misma hacia para mantener a Nick supuestamente enamorado de ella, aunque el siempre estuvo en contra de que ella quisiera tener algo más con él y por eso ella no lo dejaría en paz hasta lograr su objetivo, que estuvieran juntos a como de lugar.

Me gustó la actuación de Alicia Silverstone, aunque no la había visto en papeles siendo una persona "mala" o con problemas mentales su actuación en esta película es bastante buena y los últimos minutos me sorprendió mucho su manera de crear todo un caos a su alrededor por su "enamoramiento" que después sabemos no es el primer caso en el que ella se obsesiona con un hombre mayor que ella. La película es del año 1993 y aunque tiene ciertas cosas que la hacen parecer una película más del montón me gustó el efecto de suspenso que le ponen a la historia y también las últimas escenas de la película que realmente me dejaron sorprendida sobre todo el final. Adrian es una persona que no está bien de la cabeza y que probablemente con el final que tuvo esta historia seguirá teniendo obsesiones con cualquier hombre que se le acerque y la trate dignamente. Siento que el nombre de la película dice mucho de que va la historia, sentí mucha adrenalina cada vez que ella se le ocurría otra de sus artimañas para que las cosas salieran como ella quería. Aunque sabemos que el que miente y manipula tarde o temprano termina mal.
I liked Alicia Silverstone's performance, although I had not seen her in roles being a "bad" person or with mental problems her performance in this movie is quite good and the last minutes I was very surprised by her way of creating chaos around her because of her "crush" that later we know is not the first case in which she becomes obsessed with a man older than her. The movie is from 1993 and although it has certain things that make it seem like just another run-of-the-mill movie I liked the suspenseful effect they put on the story and also the last scenes of the movie that really left me surprised especially the ending. Adrian is a person who is not right in the head and probably with the ending of this story she will continue to have obsessions with any man who approaches her and treats her with dignity. I feel like the name of the movie says a lot of what the story is about, I felt a lot of adrenaline every time she would come up with another one of her ruses to make things go her way. Although we know that whoever lies and manipulates sooner or later ends badly.
Está película la recomendaría solo a personas mayores de edad ya que pienso que aunque se tocan temas delicados de una manera suave pueden algunas personas tomarlo como algo que estaría bien hacer, pienso que hay muchas personas que idealizan este tipo de relaciones cuando me parece que no habría ningún problema mientras las dos personas sean adultas y sepan respetarse y poner límites. La pueden encontrar en PrimeVideo y desconozco si está en Netflix, también la pueden encontrar en páginas de películas tanto en audio español como subtitulada.
I would recommend this movie only to people of legal age because I think that although it touches on delicate issues in a soft way, some people may take it as something that would be good to do, I think there are many people who idealize this type of relationship when it seems to me that there would be no problem as long as the two people are adults and know how to respect each other and set limits.
