¡Hola amigos! Se me ocurrió una nueva sección, por decirlo de alguna manera, donde les voy a hablar de aquellas películas que me encantan y no importa cuántas veces las haya visto, si veo que las están dando en algún lado es inevitable que no me enganche a verlas. Voy a empezar con una de mis películas favoritas y la razón principal por la que se me ocurrió está entrada: Si tuviera 30.
Hello friends! I came up with a new section, so to speak, where I'm going to tell you about those movies that I love and no matter how many times I've seen them, if I see them being shown somewhere it's inevitable that I won't get hooked to watch them. I'm going to start with one of my favorite movies and the main reason why I came up with this entry: 13 Going on 30.

Esta película salió en el año 2004; tiene de actores protagónicos a Jennifer Garner como Jenna Rink y a Mark Ruffalo como Matt Flamhaff, y en el papel de la antagonista está Judy Greer como Lucy Wyman.

La película nos cuenta la historia de Jenna, una niña que está cumpliendo 13 años y viene atravesando una etapa donde quiere ser popular, pertenecer al círculo de las chicas geniales, y salir con el chico que le gusta que también es popular. Así que en su fiesta decide invitarlos, pero las cosas no salieron como ella planeaba y estás chicas terminan burlándose de ella y de su mejor amigo Matt, que le regaló una casa de muñecas. Jenna se entristece por este hecho y decide encerrarse en un armario donde empieza a balancearse contra un estante deseando tener 30 años, ser coqueta y prospera. La casa de muñecas que le regaló Matt también estaba allí y comienza a caer unos brillos de ella sobre Jenna, mientras esta sigue pronunciando la misma frase.
The movie tells us the story of Jenna, a girl who is turning 13 and is going through a stage where she wants to be popular, belong to the circle of cool girls, and date the boy she likes who is also popular. So at her party she decides to invite them, but things didn't go as she planned and these girls end up making fun of her and her best friend Matt, who gave her a dollhouse. Jenna is saddened by this fact and decides to lock herself in a closet where she starts swinging against a shelf wishing she was 30 years old, flirty and prosperous. The dollhouse that Matt gave her was also there and some glitter begins to fall from it on Jenna, while she keeps uttering the same phrase.
Al abrir los ojos se encuentra con que su deseo se cumplió y de repente se ve en una casa que le es extraña, con la apariencia de ser una mujer adulta de 30 años, y un desconocido semi desnudo que parece ser su pareja. Al principio está muy confundida, pero a medida que avanza la trama se da cuenta que logró lo que quería, pudo meterse en el círculo de las populares en su adolescencia, y tener un trabajo soñado como redactora de la revista Poise que ella leía cuando era niña. Sin embargo, también se dio cuenta que se alejó de sus seres queridos para lograr sus ambiciones.
When she opens her eyes she finds that her wish has been granted and suddenly she finds herself in a house that is strange to her, with the appearance of being a grown woman in her 30's, and a semi-naked stranger who appears to be her partner. At first she is very confused, but as the plot progresses she realizes that she got what she wanted, she was able to get into the popular circle as a teenager, and have a dream job as an editor of the Poise magazine she read as a child. However, she also realized that she walked away from her loved ones to achieve her ambitions.
No contenta con ello intenta recomponer aquellos antiguos lazos y se vuelve a contactar con Matt, su amigo de la infancia, para que la ayude con una campaña nueva para la revista, ya que él es fotógrafo. También vuelve a contactar con sus padres, con los que estaba distanciada, y hay una escena muy conmovedora de ella sentada llorando en el mismo lugar de la casa de sus padres donde pidió el deseo que la trajo hasta aquí. Ahí descubre el ser horrible en el que se convirtió y se pone en marcha para remediarlo. Sin embargo, para salvar algunas relaciones puede ser muy tarde.
Not content with that, she tries to rebuild those old ties and reconnects with Matt, her childhood friend, to help her with a new campaign for the magazine, as he is a photographer. She also reconnects with her parents, with whom she was estranged, and there is a very touching scene of her sitting crying in the same spot in her parents' house where she made the wish that brought her here. There she discovers the horrible being she became and sets out to remedy it. However, to save some relationships it may be too late.
Mi opinión - My opinion
Soy muy fan de esta película, creo que me gusta mucho el hecho de que sea una comedia romántica con toques de fantasía. Con ella quedé enamorada de Jennifer Garner y Mark Ruffalo, la química que tuvieron estos dos fue genial. Siempre que la dan en la tele me vuelvo loca y eso que ya la vi más veces de las que puedo contar. Creo que hasta me la sé de memoria.
I'm a big fan of this movie, I think I really like the fact that it's a romantic comedy with touches of fantasy. I fell in love with Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo, the chemistry between them was great. Whenever it's on TV I go crazy and I've seen it more times than I can count. I think I even know it by heart.
Además cuenta con un soundtrack precioso, amo todas las canciones que aparecen en la película. La escena conmovedora que les conté de la casa de los padres me rompió el corazón, la música de Billy Joel acompaño el momento. La de Thriller y el baile que se mandan me fascina. Pero mi favorita sin dudas es Why can´t I de Liz Phair. Estoy enamorada de esta canción hasta el día de hoy. Se las dejo por aquí porque se merece ser escuchada (cuidado que hay escenas spoileantes en el vídeo).
It also has a beautiful soundtrack, I love all the songs that appear in the film. The touching scene I told you about at the parents' house broke my heart, Billy Joel's music accompanied the moment. The one from Thriller and the dance they do with each other fascinates me. But my favorite without a doubt is Why can't I by Liz Phair. I'm in love with this song to this day. I leave it here because it deserves to be listened to (be careful, there are spoiler scenes in the video).
Esta película me hace pensar en que es difícil tenerlo todo en la vida. Quizá es un mensaje medio pesimista de mi parte, pero no porque sea imposible, sino porque es muy difícil equilibrar los diferentes aspectos de la vida. Siempre cojeamos de un lado o del otro. Afortunados los que no. También es buena para pararse a pensar que cada etapa requiere su tiempo y no está bueno quemarlas tan rápido. Yo también deseaba ser adulta cuando era chica y creía que a esta edad iba a ser como la película, tener 30, ser coqueta y prospera. Y aquí estoy, con mis 29 años con más dudas que certezas jajaja. Tendemos a idealizar la vida de adulto cuando somos niños, pero estaría bueno valorar más el momento presente.
This movie makes me think that it is difficult to have everything in life. Maybe that's a bit of a pessimistic message on my part, but not because it's impossible, but because it's so hard to balance the different aspects of life. We always limp on one side or the other. Lucky those who don't. It's also good to stop and think that each stage requires its time and it's not good to burn them out so fast. I too wished I was an adult when I was a girl and thought that at this age I was going to be like the movie, be 30, flirty and thriving. And here I am, with my 29 years with more doubts than certainties hahaha. We tend to idealize the adult life when we are children, but it would be nice to value more the present moment.
Al final Jenna aprendió está lección y se le concedió la oportunidad de remediarla. Creo que es lo que más me gusta de esta película. Tiene un final muy satisfactorio. In the end Jenna learned this lesson and was granted the opportunity to remedy it. I think that's what I like most about this movie. It has a very satisfying ending.
