Gandalf is the most shameless character of all Lord of The Rings because his true magic is his manipulation, that rogue mode with which he looks at other characters making them fall into his charms on epic quests full of much effort, courage, bravery but also suffering to carry out what he should do, he is a wizard who writes himself, he is the author allowing all the stories to follow the guide marked by his staff and develop.

He is a born Leader and being a born Leader he sets the strategy to follow which requires the rest of the characters to follow and to be able to carry out this, he uses his greatest skill in his personality which is Manipulation which is a main trait of every guide in a team, this he applies it very well because his goal to achieve is noble making his manipulations white.

In fact what could be considered as the main protagonists of the story which are the hobbits, succumb to his gaze that accompanied by his pipe, speech, beard and charm fall into the plans of this wizard who ultimately seeks to do good but we cannot deny that the missions are practically suicidal, in fact that is the reason to consider them epic because they fall in those legendary contexts of David against Goliath and The Tasks of Hercules.

I see the author in it because the way the whole story is conducted is thanks to Gandalf, without this wizard there is no plot, he is the one who comes in both sagas, both Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit to create all the script to solve the chaos that will be generated, I don't have to know the author to say with all my being that the affection he has for this character is infinite, he takes care of him, he appreciates him, he evolves him, he gives him all his love, I see this character and he is perfect in all his writing and direction because even what he has to criticize he loves.

    image.png

    image.png

Gandalf The Wizard, Source of Image

Let's go with the criticism because this wizard is not very clear about the conditions of his magic, he can do many things and sometimes seems to be just another human, what is clear is his longevity, color that is gray, intelligence and knowledge but the magic aspect is extremely vague and adapts to the situation to be solved.

The previous criticism becomes a charm because one of the most beautiful things of Lord of the Rings is the ambiguity of his magic and it is what allows the story to continue because if it is analyzed from a very logical point of view, the story is lost, it drowns, it would become boring and dies because its conditions would be clear and in this case it is correct that it is not so because it is precisely what gives life, Gandalf my friend you are the pencil in this canvas of legendary stories.

The style of the character with his Wizard clothes, hat, staff, beard and pipe, the latter very important because it gives him personality, how nice it is to see characters who use a generic symbol that in this case is wizards and manage to adapt to have their unique fingerprint that marks an entire fandom thus establishing not only a lore of literature but also a visual tone well marked that where you see this look plus the pipe, we know that is Gandalf.

A character with a wide range of personality traits that enchant and therefore deserves 10 out of 10 because many would fall for his charms and his invitation to an epic adventure that would put their lives at risk to reach the fires of Mount Doom, there in Mordor in the far reaches of Sammath Naur to fulfill the holy order entrusted by the legendary Gandalf the Grey.

    image.png

    image.png

Gandalf vs The Balrog, Source of Image

Let's go to the spoiler area to mention those scenes that I loved the most about the character.

The Battle against the Balrog is his best moment because it is where he displays all his physical and magical power, in this case he does not use the words with which he charms Frodo and Bilbo to convince them of their suicide missions, visually looks impossible to win, the Balrog looks imposing to win and Gandalf with all his mettle, courage, mission condemns him to never happen.

In all aspects it is emotion that battle because we see a small being fight against one of the worst beasts of that world in Lord of the Rings and manages to impose, he wins, saves his friends to follow his mission, it is a strong moment in the film because we see how he dies thanks to the whip of the Balrog that drags him into the void.

It is at this moment where I reinforce that Gandalf is a character who has the soul of the author in himself because his creator does not let him die, he rescues him by giving him a small arc of resuscitation and this he does because it is his character, his little heart is in him and he thinks of giving him the best moments where many of them become the center, pillars that give meaning to the story, he revives him because without Gandalf there is no story.

Making use of the ambiguity that magic has in his story, that is why it is a genius that this extremely ambiguous aspect in the lord of the rings is the best because we as viewers accept it, I see his resurrection and I accept it, I do not apply logic because there is none, it is very vague magic. Not only this, the way he fights the Balrog is out of the parameters and again I say it again, we accept it without complaints because Gandalf's power adapts to what the story needs to continue.

Another example that highlights the above is when Gandalf is presented to the King of Gondor which is emaciated by the power of Saruman and conveniently to heal him, is shown as shown in the gif being Gandalf the White, he had to evolve, ie if he does not become white, does not achieve its objective, these details are surgically placed but what makes them jewels is because the viewer accepts it and that's it, no questions are asked because he is enjoying what he is seeing, one of the best characters in all Lord of the Rings.

Thanks for reading me and if you could leave me in the comments box what you think about this character and that shameless trait I gave him and I hope he made you laugh because he is like that, remember those looks he makes, that's why there are so many gifs of this character because his actor gives him part of his mischievous personality.

I dedicate each and every one of my posts and videos to my little dog named princess we called her chiquito who is no longer with us but from heaven she will see that her existence was valuable and the most beautiful thing that will exist in my heart and soul.

The Ring of Power, Source of Image Edited with Paint

The cruelest ring of all history in Lord Of The Rings I see it as an individual, a being with life and autonomy of its own. I remember the time when I saw this wonderful trilogy ruled by the ring of power and I will raise my point of view based on what I saw and understood from the movies about this object full of dark magic that dominates this review.

The true protagonist of the story seen in cinemas occurred in Middle-earth is this ring because it guides much of the steps that occur in the plot, what can not guide is because it is not considered power and that is where his only weakness.

This treasure is not an object, it is a someone, there is a fragmented soul within it that seeks to unite with its other portion. He has many powers that as the story progresses we will be able to appreciate, some are easy to detect and others are not, but his greatest attribute is to corrupt.

It has a birth based on deception and ambition, precisely these are the most outstanding attributes of the ring making its greatest power is based on corrupting the soul of its bearer but this has a weakness, who wants to corrupt and achieves it is because its nature itself is greedy, this being a fundamental element for control, when this is not there, the ring is very helpless and dependent on time to be able to go depleting the mind of the bearer.

Not everything is cruelty, evil and darkness as there are good skills in the ring such as fidelity, this can generate debate as it can be considered we speak of the same being but I do not think so, there are two distinct entities that are the ring and its original bearer in which it is said that one feels the presence of the other but there are times when they are very close and are blinded by the ambition of power.

The One Ring is a being that scars all of Middle-earth in this story, Humans, Elves and Dwarves suffer for its existence, for its influence that weighs on each character and changes to show us that it will depend on the soul in each being how strong that influence is.

The Ring of the Dark Lord has inspiration in real life as there are objects with similar powers such as the spear of destiny, the ark of the covenant among others that regardless of whether they exist or not, share with the ring the corruption of one or more individuals and the mere fact of naming them causes an impression on the person as when the ring reveals its powerful writing to the viewer.

The Ring of Power deserves a score of 10 out of 10 as it guides with full intention and treachery a complicated story to close, as I would like to see evil triumph and hit with its sledgehammer every race but everything must end like life itself, closing the eyes in peace forever.

Now I start with what I like the most in my reviews which is the spoilers area where I can talk about everything I liked about My Precious.

The introduction scene to the story of the rings is what I remember as if I saw the movie yesterday, in less than 5 minutes I am totally in the movie and it is totally understood how this ring dominates the strongest races which are Elves, Dwarves and humans but beyond that, it is where I see my favorite character that in due time I will review, The Great Sauron in its maximum splendor and with the ring that dominates the rest placed on his finger.

It is incredible how such a short scene can give such a satisfactory presentation to a villain, it is a power, it is a majesty that I have not seen in another film, I never get tired of watching that scene, in fact even today after decades I find it incredible that in so few seconds Sauron is engraved in the mind of every viewer who saw this story as well as his ring.

We assume that Sauron managed to cheat and create a ring that dominates the rest but to do so he had to deposit something in the object. This seems to me very similar to what Voldemort did in his respective saga and in fact I will associate them because I see the story very open to interpretation, Sauron created it and that's it, basically that's what we are told then I can assume that he deposited not his power, if not his soul and that is why it is so much emphasized that they perceive each other.

Each one depends on the other, the ring and its original bearer but this does not mean that they are the same to my way of seeing. It is often said that they feel each other but after seeing that all-seeing eye, it escapes from sight because their essences are looking for something else, in this aspect they confuse me because it is said as absolute the fact that they always perceive each other and just at the climax it seems that it is not so. This is a convenient detail in the plot of the ring to be able to close it because if it is not so, the influence of the ring would be invincible.

The inscription is another visual detail that when reading it enchants the viewer immediately and is presented in this first scene, in these phrases is where we see all the power as a writer of the author as they have a lot of energy words that are transmitted in ancient language making the viewer respect the object even though it is one invented by the imagination of the author.

The True Ring Bearer, Gif of Peakd source

We know the most obvious powers such as becoming invisible among others but there is one that always escaped me despite being very obvious, the ring adapts to the finger of the wearer but this is done by the object as an individual based on whether it suits him or not, it was many years later that I realized this by discussions with friends at the university as there is a moment when Isildur flees from some Orcs and the evil ring betrays him by becoming bigger and escaping from his finger.

This for me is a plot gem, it is such a small detail but has an abysmal evil because it contains the element of betrayal, in my time I thought it was because of the current of the water and the effort that the character made, in itself I did not pay attention and in fact it seems to me a pathetic death but noting this detail gives a touch to the ring very cruel.

The corruption it produces in each individual is its greatest power, many characters are related to the ring, Gandalf, Galadriel, Sauron, Bilbo, Frodo but there is one who suffers all the dark onslaught and for centuries of evil in the ring, that is Smeagol.

This arc gives me a lot of regret because I see that the ring is all cruelty, has no mercy and even think it is even more evil than Sauron because in my case I see them as two different entities. The way it fractures the personality of Smeagol seems to me the greatest act of torture by the ring, I feel a lot of empathy for the character since everything he has suffered is because of the ring, I am one of those who think he is an innocent victim.

This beautiful ring deserves its 10 out of 10 because with just a few minutes it manages to create in us respect, fear, that detail when it is presented what its writing means is to be feared and with just that it manipulates us to be afraid of the ring that dominates everyone.

I dedicate each and every one of my posts and videos to my little dog named princess that we called her chiquito who is no longer with us but from heaven she will see that her existence was valuable and the most beautiful thing that will exist in my heart and soul.

  4. CineTV Contest —Visually Stunning Trilogies: LOTR & The Hobbit@kemmyb1520d

A film plot may not be as fascinating as expected but the visuals or cinematography can grab an audience's attention and make the film a classic. For an ardent action/adventure lover, nothing thrills me more than the visual effects. I have a series of films in my 'visually stunning' collection but I will focus on these popular trilogies: Lord Of The Rings (LOTR) and The Hobbit.

    20220430_164752_0000.png

These trilogies are one of the best high fantasy/adventures that I have watched to date and the visual effects have earned them a place among the classics and outstanding success.

The storyline of LOTR is focused on a young hobbit, Frodo Baggins (played by Elijah Wood), who embarks on an epic journey to destroy a special and powerful ring forged by the enemy, Sauron. On this journey, he is tasked to ensure the ring does not fall into the wrong hands because of its powerful and hypnotising effects.

    IMG_20220430_164448.jpg

    IMG_20220430_164421.jpg

The Hobbit however is the prequel to LOTR. It focused on Frodo's uncle, Bilbo Baggins (played by Martin Freeman) and the infamous, gold-greedy dragon, Smaug. The dragon drove the dwarves out of their mountain and stole their gold. Gandalf and a team of dwarves co-opt Bilbo to join them on an epic adventure to take back the mountain. This was how Bilbo came into possession of the one ring. Of course, there can be no reclaiming of territory without wars.

    Review Of Cinematography

In the order of their release date, LOTR was first in 2001 while The Hobbit came almost nine years later but they are both phenomenal. The CGI employed makes these films exceptionally great to watch. I can never imagine an adventurous scene without measuring it against Peter Jackson's works in these trilogies.

I understand the Hobbit trilogy was shot with "a special camera developed by the founder of Oakley sunglasses at 48 frames per second (fps)" but the outcome is spectacular.

    IMG_20220430_164303.jpg

    IMG_20220430_164235.jpg

Peter Jackson presented a visually stunning feast for his audience in these films. The depiction of Middle Earth in its splendour is remarkable. Another scene I particularly adore is the home of the elves, the Elven City of Rivendell. It's mystical and ethereal. Almost everything about the elves in these trilogies is spectacular.

The action scenes, especially the battle scenes, were well-coordinated and thrilling. The scene I most enjoyed is the final battle in the third instalment of the Hobbit, Battle Of The Five Armies.

    IMG_20220430_164209.jpg

    IMG_20220430_164143.jpg

The scenes where the dwarves fight Smaug that led to the epic battle with the Orc armies were beautiful to watch. There was no confusion or mishmash.

I credit Peter Jackson and his team for an excellent job. The cast was wonderful. My favourite characters in both trilogies are: Legolas, a prince elf of the Woodland Realm (played by Orlando Bloom) and Tauriel, a silvan Woodland elf (played by Evangeline Lilly) because they are both fearless, strong and their elven costumes are sleek!

    IMG_20220430_164321.jpg

Out of the two trilogies, I love The Hobbit more maybe because of the advanced equipment used. The picture quality is clearer than LOTR's. I am yet to see a film that beats these trilogies in the aspect of visual effects and epic adventures. Undeniably, both films are outstanding.

  5. 'Very Expensive' - My favourite line from a fabulous trilogy.@lordtimoty1590d

    image.png Source

This post responds to the CineTV Twitter wondering: What's your favourite movie trilogy? You can find the CineTV Twitter here.

I can still remember the popcorn. I was sitting in the cinema with my parents and my sister; I was not quite 14 years old - and I was captivated. Nearly exactly the right age to get sucked into a saga, burning into my imagination the possibilities of the fantasy genre. I don't believe I ever would have picked up this book and read it, but what gift to the world that Peter Jackson took Tolkien's masterpiece, and set it on the big screen.

As the film journeyed, I became so very much a part of the small group who travelled with the ring to Mordor. I was tense, concerned, relieved, overjoyed - every emotion - as I felt the weight of the ring as we approached the mountains, and the group got smaller.

It was the film that gave us, 'You shall not pass'. What a classic. And as it came to its conclusion, on the outskirts of Mordor - I needed more. For emphasis, I'll say it again, I needed more.

How relieved I was, then, that there was more - and each year I looked forward to the adventure; each year dutifully attending the cinema. My parents didn't need to see the next ones until they were out on DVD, and my sister really didn't care - but, as The Two Towers came out - I needed it - and so off I went.

Now, if I was to be really honest, the second film gave me one of my most favourite film lines ever. A friend of mine had a Bali (pirated) copy of this film which I borrowed, and on Golem's lines, they put up subtitles - anyways.

He stares at the ring, and says, 'My precious' - and we burst into laughter as the subtitle popped up, 'Very expensive' - completely ruined the moment the director worked so hard to achieve, but so very memorable.

And then of course, the dramatic conclusion - the holding of the stronghold, the battle between good and evil. The entire world on the shoulders of a wee hobbit. The music in this one was brilliant, and it was shot in higher key lighting - the army scenes and the horsemen were magnificient - and it was the brilliant triumph.

Concluding with a much older Frodo returning to 'The Shire' - older, wiser, more mature, he knew something the world, the value of family and friends, the value of hope and trust, and the knowledge that goodness always prevails.

What a wonderful trilogy for a young man to find, at just the right time in his life each year.

I really should get around to watching these again; my wife, I know, will refuse to watch them - but it won't be a bad thing at a time like this, to know - there's always a little bit of good in the world.

  6. The Lord of the Rings - The adventure that everyone (or almost everyone) would have liked to have@claudio831919d

The Lord of the Rings is a fantasy trilogy written by a noble writer named John Ronald Reuel Tolkien or better known as J.R.R.Tolkien, set in a magical world, inhabited by wizards, warriors, elves, dwarves, goblins, orcs and evil beings, but between all a small breed of hairy-footed men, the Hobbits. Set in the Third Age of fictional Middle-earth, the story tells of a powerful ring of power, created by the evil lord Sauron, through which he controls the kings of men, dwarves and elves and is set after the great epic war between the last Alliance between Elves and Men and the defeat of Sauron and the dark army and the disappearance of the ring of power, due to influence on the king of men.

    house_2616607_1280.jpg

The trilogy (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King) was brought back to theaters by director Peter Jackson, a fan of the saga since he was a child, and has done a tremendous job trying to reproduce faithfully the settings and details of a truly incredible work. The trilogy tells the story of Frodo Baggins, Bilbo's nephew, owner of the ring whose events are narrated in the work The Hobbit, which affirms him an incredible longevity until, the sorcerer friend Gandalf discovers the dark power of ring, bequeathed to Frodo Baggins, Bilbo's nephew. Here begins a long journey that will lead Frodo and the company from the ring to a long and difficult journey to Mount Doom, the place where the ring was forged and the only one where it can be destroyed.

The journey is full of difficulties not only due to the alternation of fearsome enemies that the company will encounter along its path but also for the adversities within the group: the ring consumes Frodo and whoever is next to it and this will create divisions and Frodo he will choose to leave the group and continue the journey in the company of his trusted friend Sam. But they will not be alone, the company will remain loyal to Frodo, until the end of the journey.

The trilogy has received many Academy Awards including photography, makeup and soundtrack. Peter Jackson has paid close attention to all the details in the book and anyone who has had the pleasure of reading it will know how full it is with detailed descriptions of the world of Middle-earth and its creatures. The work done in the search for precision is frighteningly exceptional, the settings are surreal and fascinating and the creatures are truly cared for in their perfection (elves) and imperfection (orcs).

I think the soundtrack is among the best I've ever listened to: the intro of the Fellowship of the Ring, Bilbo's narrative voice tells a little about the characteristics of the Hobbits, it is among the sweetest and most relaxing songs of the film, my favorite with the sounds of flutes that relax my mind. On the other hand, the more lively scenes are pressing, drums accompany the march of the army of evil.

The films are particularly long, especially the extended version, and can keep you glued to the TV for over 12 continuous hours. It is not a light film, despite being a fantasy genre, the story is very complex and the personalities of the main characters are well deepened, so full of history and passion. I still remember well when with my friends we saw the first film in the cinema back in 2001, 20 have passed since then but every year we have the habit of watching it and we never stop being pleased by the masterpiece created by the mind of a genius of literature come J.R.R.Tolkien.

I recommend the trilogy to all fans of the fantasy genre and to lovers of the Dungeons & Dragons game, anyone who has lived through the 70s and 80s knows what they are talking about!

    ITA
