The last season of the show based on Norse mythology is out and it is not the grand finale that the audience expected. The third season of the show ties up the loose ends of the story that was started in the first season and this is a great shame because the final season is rather a mess. This being a fan of the show since the beginning, I couldn’t help but feel let down and annoyed by how the events unfolded. The season is rather packed and the writers seem to have tried to fit in as much as they could, which left many story arcs feeling rather rushed. It is like watching a marathon runner in the final mile, struggling for breath and getting into a poor running position. Although there are some fun scenes and character interactions, the game is rather rushed and feels like it lacks the polish that could have made it great. In this article, we will be discussing what was good, what was bad, and why this final season is a perfect example of how the series could have been given a much better ending.

A Rushed Farewell

Too Many Characters, Too Little Time

This is because everything is so fast paced that many of the story development are left rather unexplored, just like Canute's father that show up and then immediately killed. Characters will talk about their goals at the beginning of the season and then either the plot will be wrapped up rather quickly or completely ignored, the case of Canute how he had a great moment when visiting the Pope and starting a fight over there and his second best scene was close to the end when he had to name an heir, what else significant he did? the scene where they had him mimic Ragnar sitting looking at the land was cool though. It's a shame because there are some rather good concepts present here, but they are not given the chance to develop as they should.

The season also has a problem of changing the scenes and story lines too often and too frequently. At one point we are tracking one character and the next we are with another character in the middle of the other side of the world, it is the case of Canute, Harald and Freidis. It gives the story a rather fragmented and confusing feeling at times, especially annoying because in the previous seasons the show seemed to handle multiple story development while still maintaining the flow of the show, they dedicated enough time to each character at a fixed location and not jumping from one place to another, three or five times within the same episode.

The cast still delivers as well as they can with the material they are provided with, the cast is mostly good, especially Harold, Freydis, and Leif’s actors. Despite the fact that the writing is not always on the highest level, the authors succeed in creating rather realistic and interesting characters, the same applies to the secondary characters and the actors representing Canute, Godwin, and Emma gave their best.

Character and Plot Development

The plot in England with the characters of Canute, Emma and Godwin seems somewhat out of place and separate from the rest of the series, reminds me a lot of Vikings season where Avar goes to Russia and it felt so disconnected from the rest of the original Vikings story but at least he had to much screen time that the episodes were fixed on him giving enough context.

After finish the series I got to the conclusion that his probably was a budget problem, the budget for this season was not as large as in the previous ones. The large scale fights that were a staple of the earlier seasons are not as frequent, been the scenes that cost money, for example when Harald got into Constantinople, the castle look so small, the scenario itself felt cheap. The action scenes are not as frequent and when they do happen they seem to be on a smaller level. From a production perspective it is quite reasonable but as an audience, I felt left feeling slightly deflated as the climax of the series is not as spectacular as I thought it would be.

Actualmente en el mundo del cine, existe el debate sobre la necesidad de seguir explotando una franquicia o querer ver películas nuevas, esto es debido a que las nuevas han fracasado en la taquilla y las que son parte de franquicias han obtenido éxito; personalmente creo que una marca es importante cuando es sinónimo de éxito, lo cual ciertamente está acompañada de nostalgia, pero también hay que ese factor está ligado a la pregunta “¿Es necesario otra película más?” Y sin importar si la respuesta es afirmativa o no, lo relevante es que exista alguien o algo que del presupuesto por ejemplo de 150 millones de dólares para realizar un film sin importar que tan necesario es y creo que ese es el caso de la película a la que hago reseña en esta publicación.

Currently in the world of movies, there is a debate about the need to continue exploiting a franchise or want to see new films, this is because the new ones have failed at the box office and those that are part of franchises have achieved success; personally I think a brand is important when it is synonymous with success, which certainly is accompanied by nostalgia, but there is also that this factor is linked to the question "Is it necessary another film?"And regardless of whether the answer is yes or no, what is relevant is that there is someone or something that has the budget, for example, of 150 million dollars to make a film no matter how necessary it is, and I think that is the case of the film I am reviewing in this publication.

“Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F”, película original de Netflix, cuarta película dentro de la franquicia y relata una nueva aventura del detective de Detroit en la ciudad llena de lujos y estrellas del cine, me refiero a Beverly Hills; en esta oportunidad el regreso de Axel es debido a un motivo muy personal, ya que tanto un gran y viejo amigo como es “Billy Rosewood”, junto a la hija de Axel, la abogada defensora, “Jane Saunders”, están involucrados en un caso en donde un policía encubierto fue asesinado y justamente a quien se le acusó de asesinarlo es el cliente de Jane y en su búsqueda de la verdad despertarán el interés de peligrosas personas y el único que pueda imponerse entre esos criminales es el mismo Axel Foley.

Estoy muy seguro que tanto la primera como la segunda película dentro de la franquicia de “Beverly Hills Cop”, deben ser las que más he visto en mi vida, son películas con excelente acción, buenos personajes, buenos diálogos, excelente comedia, en fin, son películas muy entretenida y justamente varias de esas características no aparecen en el tercer film estrenado en los 90’, la cual creo que su mayor problema es que parece desarrollarse en Beverly Hills, pero en esta nueva e inesperada oportunidad, se decidió traer de vuelta todo lo que captó la atención en sus dos primeras películas, me refiero a la ciudad, los lujos, acción y por supuesto, los clásicos protagonistas.

Lamentable, todo nostalgia que se usó o se intentó usar no fue suficiente para crear una buena película, creo que había tanta necesidad de recrear lo ya hecho que se obvió lo que considero importante y es el de desarrollar una nueva historia; primeramente pienso que el tema personal como motivo principal está muy ligado a lo que esta franquicia porque es lo que hace que su protagonista salga de una zona de confort y trata de imponer en un lugar diferente, esos son factores que no tengo ningún inconveniente, es la base de cada film, pero el asunto está en como se desarrolla la historia y como sucede en otras franquicias, no todo depende del protagonista, sino de todo lo que debe enfrentar, como por ejemplo los villanos o en este caso los lazos familiares.

I am very sure that the first and the second film in the "Beverly Hills Cop" franchise, must be the ones I have seen the most in my life, they are movies with excellent action, good characters, good dialogue, excellent comedy, in short, they are very entertaining movies and just several of these features do not appear in the third film released in the 90', which I think its biggest problem is that it seems to take place in Beverly Hills, but in this new and unexpected opportunity, it was decided to bring back everything that captured the attention in his first two films, I mean the city, the luxuries, action and of course, the classic protagonists.

Unfortunately, all the nostalgia that was used or tried to be used was not enough to create a good movie, I think there was so much need to recreate what was already done that what I consider important and that is to develop a new story; first of all I think that the personal theme as the main motive is closely linked to what this franchise because it is what makes its protagonist to leave a comfort zone and try to impose in a different place, those are factors that I have no objection, it is the basis of each film, but the issue is in how the story develops and as it happens in other franchises, not everything depends on the protagonist, but everything he must face, such as villains or in this case the family ties.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F tuvo un costo de 150 millones de dólares y creo que grabar secuencias de acción tanto en Detroit como en las calles de Beverly Hills, imagino que tiene su costo, así como el uso del CGI en una escena en específico, ahora me hubiera gustado que cada una de esas escenas tuvieran la necesaria emoción para crear cierto impacto en quien ve el film y lamentablemente eso no sucede, en mi opinión son repetitivas y aburridas y ese creo que es el problema del uso de la nostalgia, eso lleva a recrear escenas y diálogos ya visto y no tomar el riesgo de hacer algo nuevo o hasta hacerlas mejor, posiblemente ese es el gran problema y es que está película se pudo usar mejor el gran presupuesto que tuvo.

Sé que el contar con Eddie Murphy y con Judge Reinhold y John Ashton, quienes interpretan a “Billy Rosewood” y “John Taggart”, me pareció excelente, justamente esos dos personajes, detectives del departamento de policías de Beverly Hills, son mis personajes favoritos, pero el guion es tan malo que no se aprovecha ni un minuto de esos personajes, me refiero a recrear algo nuevo, divertido y es que esta película es una demostración del mal uso de la nostalgia y eso la convierte en una decepción, sin importar que tan poca expectativa tenía antes de verla. Lamento nombrar a este cuarto film de la franquicia liderada por el personaje de Axel Foley como la peor película que he visto en este año, es completamente aburrida y larga, no entiendo como hay dos horas de metraje y tan poco desarrollo de los personajes, en especial de los villanos y del caso en sí; es un desastre de narrativa, con un mal casting, con malos y nada cómicos diálogos y escenas de acción simples, no hay nada especial en este film, una perdida de dinero y tiempo.

I know that having Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold and John Ashton, who play "Billy Rosewood" and "John Taggart", I thought it was excellent, just those two characters, detectives of the Beverly Hills police department, are my favorite characters, But the script is so bad that not a single minute of those characters is used, I mean to recreate something new, fun and this film is a demonstration of the misuse of nostalgia and that makes it a disappointment, no matter how little expectation I had before watching it. I regret to name this fourth film of the franchise led by Axel Foley's character as the worst film I have seen this year, it is completely boring and long, I do not understand how there are two hours of footage and so little development of the characters, especially the villains and the case itself; it is a disaster of narrative, with a bad casting, with bad and not funny dialogues and simple action scenes, there is nothing special in this film, a waste of money and time.

The fourth installment of the Planet of the Apes series has finally been released and similar to other the previous versions it felt a bit flat, it was interesting but its probably the concept that might be too simple and needs someone who could really spark things up, its a planet rule by apes, always the same topic and it was not different this time other than the characters. This new film starts three centuries after the events of the previous three movies and here we see that the apes are the new masters of the world and humans are now the savages. Honestly, I had a lot of expectations for this one this movie, not saying that its the worst from the franchise although less than I expected. The previous films of Apes series were quite good, so I was expecting the same or higher, potentially to blow my mind away. Did it meet the expectations? Well, I cant give it more than a 7 at best.

Plot Fall Flat So Did Pacing and Characters

Another problem is related to the pacing been close to 2.5 hours, it feels even longer because Noa does take a while to get to the beach where all his family members are hostages. Suddenly after the first hour you finally get to the beach and face this massive door so your first though is open the damn thing so we can get some action going on but even so it took some time, my point is that the entire travel Noa takes latter on made me feel a bit desperate to get action back into the movie.

The main hero, Noa is rather uninteresting, he depends too much from others, may be too naive to be the Hero, at this point in time after Caesar apes are very well develop and active but Noa and his family are very tame and passive. He is supposed to be this noble, heroic and kind hearted ape who is the successor of Caesar but he is not as none of Caesar aggressiveness when needed or charisma. The protagonist Nova, the human girl character also seems to be somewhat underutilized at first when she was not talking but latter on became more active, at first she is present but she is not very useful to the plot of the story, latter one when she starts to pick up I was expecting the same thing from Noa but it was not until the end when we saw those Caesar genes kick in and probably was too late.

Definitely, one of the strong points of the movie is the link to the first two films, if there was not such reference and this would the very first movie of the franchise I think there would not be a second part, this is not a bad movie although not one that I would watch more than twice. There are many small details that will be easily noticed by fans of the series with the most important been the legend of Caesar who is been forgotten and twisted by apes themself, the irony. With this last concept you can tell apes are becoming the very same thing as humans, self destructive as they advance.

Episode 8, the last episode of the "season", I doubt there is going to be a second one for multiple reasons I talk about latter on but none the less this has been one hell of a ride in terms of feelings and turns. Episode 8 does gave answers to some questions but at the same time opened new questions for what you might think is the door open for a second season, this episode was filled with action, drama, and some much needed character development, as well as some annoying plot holes. I was never a Star Wars fan but it has been the multiple TV series that got me hocked, might be a good or bad thing for the franchise because some people might get in through the wrong concept as more pure blood Star Wars fans would think, but I have to admit that after watching The Acolyte I'm on the Sith side, this episode is filled with Dark Side stuff that kept me wondering and its when I found some of its plot problems.

The Return of Darth Plagueis

It is a well known Sith doctrine that there can only be two, a master and an apprentice, this rule gives a time limit to characters like Qimir who is the current apprentice. Since Darth Plagueis is the master, it means that between Qimir and Osha, one has to be eliminated to balance the force, this also makes way for possible power struggles and conflicts in the following seasons, if the series continues on to have more seasons.

We also have Sol and Mae still waiting in the orbit for the arrival of Qimir and Osha, it was logical to look for them where everything started. This is quite evident in this particular episode as Sol character becomes more complex and even sinister as he shares the real story that happened 16 years ago, his actions and the reasons he gives for them make him a more layered character, between the good guy and the bad guy, I think if Sol have survive his battle with Osha he might turn Sith at some point, he could not hold back his feelings anymore.

The episode also includes a good fight between Qimir and Sol, one of my favorites to be honest because for the first time they fight with same conditions and nobody to interrupt showing how Qimir is not as powerful as Sol, which also demonstrates Qimir’s rather rough manner of fighting. This battle is a highlight, offering a dramatic and a very cinematographic sequence in the episode, the choreography of the fight scenes and their pacing are excellent and this particular fight is among the best.

The Final Confrontation & Aftermath

After the battle, Vernestra Rwoh feels Qimir’s presence and understands the scale of the danger she and her friends are facing, another situation that raise even more questions because we know they are related but we still don't know how things ended up between them. Her character development is also quite interesting as she deals with the information and the threat of the Sith, at the same time hiding information to the senate but when so many died specially when Sol died she was not able to hide it anymore and had to report it but in her own words, once again lying to everyone, not very Jedi of her.

Second Season a Reality?

The Unanswered Questions

It is one of the most costly series ever made with a reported budget of $180 million with such high cost makes me wonder whether Disney is willing to spend a lot of money for a second season and whether this investment will pay off with new subscribers to Disney+, after the amount of backlash and low scores on rating sites I doubt the results were positive.

Its been two episodes since that massive dragon fight that left both sides with huge casualties, although the greens were able to hide part of the impact from their losses, the consequences of the battle at Rook’s Rest and how it impacted both the factions involved in the war, this last battle even after its over keeps opening doors for the evolution of this civil war within the Targaryen family. New characters are brought in and old characters are seen again as the plot of the story goes on with Dragons are now more involved than ever and the risks are greater than ever before. Episode 6 does have a bit of everything from action, drama, and character development which are the main aspects that I as well as other viewers of this series enjoy, I thought it was going to be a more flat episode but its not, this is the type of episode that keeps you wondering and connecting the dots.

The Aftermath of Rook's Rest

This situation with the Lanisters Army made Aemond very annoyed probably not because he does not want to leave Kings Landing undefended, to be honest I doubt he gives two fucks because if that was the case why he left for Rooks Rest?, Vhagar is currently the biggest thing stopping Rhaenyra and Daemon from attacking the city directly from a technical perspective although its clear that is not their strategy at the moment. Aemond's also mad that the Lannisters are trying to tell him what to do, since he sees himself as the king now even thought he is "King Regent" he is only filling the sit while Aegon recovers but over all seems Aemond will make sure that never happens or at least until he destroy the Blacks and show the world he is more than capable, for Aemond is not about the throne, gold or even fame, its the fact that he is the one who beat Rhaenyra, he could care less about any of the other reasons.

This is not the end of the dragon seeds, eventually Seasmoke did choose a rider, Rhaena is probably going to claim Sheep Stealer because of a quick scene during the episode where she appear next to a bunch of burn down sheep in the open field during a walk, there is going to be a lot of dragons in the air before the series ends and most likely a lot of them will die.

We also get some info about what's happening in the Riverlands, with the Tullys becoming more important than ever as the head of the Riverslands is young Oscar Tully set to become the next lord after his grandfather dies. My theory about Daemon becoming a better person starts when he asks Alys Rivers for help, he does not use the word help directly but consul and she makes fun of him, still helps him when she says "the winds will change in three days", shortly Oscar's grandfather dies and Daemon now has someone to talk to and gets young Oscar Tully making it look like an easy fix.

Tensions in King's Landing

There is a riot scene that the series was delaying for quite some time, I really thought it was going to be earlier but I'm satisfied that episodes have been very balance although on a few of the preview trailers they kept showing Alicent and Helaena running from the crowd and they were barely out of there in time.

Realistic and touching a movie that screams 2000s, Dìdi (2024) stands out among the works that reflect the trials of Asian American childhood in the modern world we live in, trying to fit into a society out of their country. Taking place in the midst of 2008 in Fremont, California, this comedy drama coming of age film captures the true essence of teenage life at the end of the 2000s. The story develops around Chris Wang, a Taiwanese American boy aged 13 and his struggles concerning his family and the period he is transitioning to high school as well as the rise of social media platforms, if you were part of that era this film will bring so many memories from Windows XP, YouTube, Skateboarding and many other aspects of High School during those times.

The film is directed by Sean Wang in his directorial debut and his personal experiences in creating the film, making the theme feel more realistic and engaging to the viewers as well as critics. The story takes place in the era of MySpace and Facebook which changed the ways teenagers communicate and construct their identities online, this also adds some sense of nostalgia for the audience that belongs to the millennial or Gen Z generation. Themes of the film

Family and Friendship

One of the most touching aspects of the film is the development of the relationship between Chris and his mother, who despite coming from completely different cultures and generations, leaves them both struggling to find a common language a balance between her raising and believes comparing to how different is Chris, how different is he growing up comparing to what she remembers of her own times at similar age. This entire scenario functions as the basis of the narrative of children of immigrants and the personal struggles of immigrant parents seeking to offer a better life for their children.

Another component of the film puts on the spotlight theme of friendship and how it changes during the process of adolescence, becoming another struggle that people go through when they graduate from school and move on in life and start making new friends as something natural and unavoidable no matter what culture they come from, it seem to be how things are, for some of us might be different but definitely something that books does not teach anyone, that shift from school to high school mixed with kids growing up makes the type of friendship and relationship totally different in another level setting the bar higher one might think, to a certain point some might feel mislead by life thinking things were going to be different or as they planned to soon figure out its not.

In the novel that this film is based on the main character Chris experiences difficulty in comprehending some of his own feelings specially towards what his mother things or expect about him, he does look a bit wild on the trailer although its clear that his mostly trouble comprehension is between him and his mother at many points in time seems he feels hims mother might not be proud of him, part of it describes process of transforming from a reserved boy who has no close affectionate relationship with his family into a young man who is able to share his feelings with friends, a dangerous path for any teenager who feel closer to his friends than his own mother.

The production of the film was marked by a sense of local and communal Ghanaian production, as mentioned before Wang purposely wrote the script to be small enough and the story was based in his hometown so that he can include the community into the project, this decision may have benefited in controlling expenses and keeping a real feel of the environment.

Izaac Wang the actor who portrays the character Chris in the film, he has previously appeared in a couple of Western productions like "Good Boys" and the voice of Boun in the animated movie "Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)", when ever he had appear on TV series or big screen productions his work has been mostly praise by realism and bringing character feelings to life.

Shirley Chen plays Chris’s sister Vivian, she is a fresh talent who has recently come into the spotlight after featuring in the film "Beast Beast" that premiered in Sundance Festival, it is perhaps because of this that her presence on camera is more than just skin deep, owing to her theater background.

Critics and Audience Reception

Critics have noted that the movie did a good job of describing casual racism and homophobia that was present in the late 2000s without going too deep into the subject but this are topics not as mainstream as in today society, after all it was during this times that social media start its true growth bringing with it this matters to the rest of the global population.

The film has been praised by the viewers for its comedy side too, Izaac Wang trade mark that can be categorized as a bit cringe at times and warm hearted at the some other, it has been noted that the use and blend of comedies and the portrayal of feelings have been an area well develop by production, with most of them have observed that the description and development of the family bonds especially between Chris and his mother has been romanticized and can easily be related to, same as may other aspects of the film that will be reminiscent to anyone who grew up during the 2000s and went through a similar path as Chris does during he film.

By incorporating both comedy and emotion and showcasing the rich flavor of a mix of cultures, the movie not only entertains the audience but it enlightens and motivates them as well probably to explore this cultures or even go back in time through history and figure out how where things during this time, it makes me and for sure many other get a feel of the theme that almost everyone has to go through as they grow up but at the same time the different experiences each one of us particularly go through during such age added to it makes it taste different from the other’s experience when you look back in time and rewind how your teenager days were like, the 2000s for me were passionate times where I discover my profession specially because of this boom in the tech field.

Finalizó la cuarta temporada de la serie que considero en la actualidad como la mejor dentro lo que es esta masa de producciones de streaming basadas en comics y es que a pesar de no ser perfecta, “The Boys” creo que en un alto porcentaje, esta serie cumple con ciertas expectativas aunque en mi opinión los showrunners, demostraron inteligencia a informar que la temporada siguiente será la última y creo que justamente eso le quitó presión a una cuarta temporada que no fue para nada mala, pero que pudo ser mejor.

I finish the fourth season of the series that I consider currently as the best in what is this mass of streaming productions based on comics and despite not being perfect, "The Boys" I think that in a high percentage, this series meets certain expectations although in my opinion the showrunners, showed intelligence to report that the next season will be the last and I think that just that took the pressure off a fourth season that was not bad at all, but could have been better.

En esta nueva temporada existen muchos temas a discutir por parte de esta serie, primeramente es sobre el poder de como una excusa puede ocultar horrendos sucesos, todo dependiendo del poder de quien comete esos hechos y este es otro ejemplo más de como esta serie es una excelente sátira de lo que sucede en los Estados Unidos y en otras partes del mundo, pero es imposible no relacionar los comportamientos de los protagonistas y otros personajes de esta serie con lo que políticamente sucede en el país de las barras y las estrellas; con lo antes dicho, al ver esta temporada en los días pasados me hizo pensar que fue una perfecta decisión porque me hizo pensar que esta cuarta temporada fue divertida y terrorífica.

In this new season there are many topics to be discussed by this series, first of all it is about the power of how an excuse can hide horrendous events, all depending on the power of who commits those acts and this is another example of how this series is an excellent satire of what happens in the United States and in other parts of the world, but it is impossible not to relate the behaviors of the protagonists and other characters of this series with what politically happens in the country of the stars and stripes; with the aforementioned, watching this season in the past days made me think that it was a perfect decision because it made me think that this fourth season was fun and terrifying.

Aunque muchas personas se han quejado de como se escribió las historias de muchos de los personajes, personalmente creo que fue lo adecuado, ya que al final está temporada es un puente para la temporada final; por ejemplo puedo citar que hurgar en el pasado, en el presente, ciertos motivos, en lo que desean para un futuro y en las promesas a cumplir, fue muy acertado porque dio individualidad a los protagonistas y funciona muy bien para la conclusión de la temporada y nos prepara para la siguiente.

De los ocho episodios que conforman la temporada, es cierto que los tres primeros no son los mejores, en eso si estoy de acuerdo con las críticas que he leído, es un comenzar lento aunque necesario para dar introducción a nuevos e importantes personajes; los cinco restantes puedo decir que tiene buenas escenas de acción, buen uso del gore y son muy divertidos episodios, no vi que tenga una carga dramática fuerte, creo que no conecte con ciertos sucesos los cuales estoy convencido de que fue algo prescindible, sin ningún peso en la historia, en especial la del personaje de “Hughie Campbell”, en cambio, la de “Annie January / Starlight”, es algo que espero tenga un mejor desarrollo en la próxima temporada, tiene mucho potencial, así como también la historia de “Ryan”.

Although many people have complained about how the stories of many of the characters were written, personally I think it was the right thing to do, since in the end this season is a bridge to the final season; for example I can cite that delving into the past, the present, certain motives, what they want for a future and promises to fulfill, was very successful because it gave individuality to the protagonists and works very well for the conclusion of the season and prepares us for the next one.

Of the eight episodes that make up the season, it is true that the first three are not the best, in that if I agree with the reviews I've read, it is a slow start but necessary to give introduction to new and important characters; the remaining five I can say that it has good action scenes, good use of gore and are very funny episodes, I did not see that it has a strong dramatic charge, I think it does not connect with certain events which I am convinced that it was something dispensable, without any weight in the story, especially that of the character of "Hughie Campbell", however, that of "Annie January / Starlight", is something that I hope has a better development in the next season, has much potential, as well as the story of "Ryan".

Anteriormente, pude leer una frase dicha por el actor Antony Starr quien interpreta a "Homelander", el cual le preocupa que exista personas que crean ciegamente o apoyen incondicionalmente en lo que es ese personaje y eso me hace pensar en que hace un buen trabajo representando a un vil personaje, un atormentado ser muy consciente de su poder y su gran necesidad de usarlo para obtener una equivocada aceptación y sí, es preocupante que exista personas que apoyen dicho personaje, que no estén conscientes de que es una expresión de la ficción dentro de la sátira que es la serie, pero repito, la gran actuación de Starr es lo mejor de la temporada y creo que la preocupación del actor será mayor con en la conclusión de la serie.

Previously, I could read a phrase said by the actor Antony Starr who plays "Homelander", which worries him that there are people who believe blindly or unconditionally support what that character is and that makes me think that he does a good job representing a vile character, a tormented being very aware of his power and his great need to use it to get a wrong acceptance and yes, it is worrying that there are people who support that character, who are not aware that it is an expression of fiction within the satire that is the series, but I repeat, the great performance of Starr is the best of the season and I think the actor's concern will be greater with in the conclusion of the series.

Desde hace tiempo decidí ver los anteriores episodios antes del final de temporada y creo que fue una gran decisión porque a pesar de lo cierto de un comienzo algo lento o poco convincente, los demás episodios tienen un mejor ritmo y son muy buenos, pero estoy convencido de que la situación política en los Estados Unidos y lo referente al atentando que sufrió uno de sus candidatos, junto a las posteriores reacciones hizo que la historia de la cuarta temporada de The Boys sea mucho mejor; llegó un momento en donde terminaba de ver un episodio e iba a ver alguna red social para reír y a la vez sentir algo de preocupación y justamente creo que en esta temporada algunos fans de la serie descubrieron que son parte de la sátira y por eso no les ha gustado; en lo personal reconozco que no es perfecta, pudo ser mejor, pero creo que hay elementos necesarios que podrán ser desarrollados en la segunda temporada del spin-off, me refiero a “GEN-V” y lo cual nos prepara para lo que todos esperan que sea el gran final.

Some time ago I decided to watch the previous episodes before the end of the season and I think it was a great decision because despite the truth of a somewhat slow or unconvincing beginning, the other episodes have a better pace and are very good, but I am convinced that the political situation in the United States and the attack suffered by one of its candidates, along with the subsequent reactions made the story of the fourth season of The Boys much better; there came a time when I finished watching an episode and went to see some social network to laugh and at the same time feel some concern and I think that in this season some fans of the series discovered that they are part of the satire and that is why they have not liked it; personally I recognize that it is not perfect, it could have been better, but I think there are necessary elements that can be developed in the second season of the spin-off, I mean "GEN-V" and which prepares us for what everyone expects to be the grand finale.
