Synopsis: Tired of her job, having a sick father, a rebellious daughter and a husband who wants a divorce, Chinese Evelyn sees her world change completely when she discovers that she is the key to saving a “multiverse” where she can access all the special abilities of their different versions in different realities.

Family dramas are truly an inexhaustible source of inspiration for screenwriters everywhere in the world. The immersion that this cinematographic genre manages to bring to the public is insane and this happens basically because it is usually easy to identify who is on the other side of the screen. This does not seem to be the case with this new endeavor by the A24 studios, which despite having a good dramatic story as the main background, fails to choose (or decide) the best right paths to develop the movie in a way that manages to captivate the audience through its his approach, which almost borders on something too psychedelic to the point of insisting on wanting to become something much bigger (and much more relevant) than it actually is in total.

A family “broken” by different points of view gradually separates, because they are unable to maintain a consensus, much less understand each other in relation to their differences. Allied to this plot, there is a plot that works as a realistic view (however, it is only parallel) about all the events of reality that happen in a kind of “multiverse”. This combination of ideas and poetic freedom to write arguments with an almost delirious and very frenetic level to be immersive or moving is one of the great assets and problems here. If, on the one hand, the “carnival” of ideas is visually interesting... On the other hand, it is overrated for being superficial.

The indecision about the future of the plot itself ends up being a real (and sometimes uncomfortable) shot in the foot, even though the movie manages to keep working for just over two hours. Bringing justifications that are initially totally random to the plot makes the movie something interesting. The fact of purposely wanting to keep the audience “lost” during a good part of the development of the project was a good idea, but when each of the justifications start to no longer make sense (in relation to substantiating the script in a more believable way ), the movie begins to enter an extremely strange, tiring and gradually uninteresting time loop.

During a good part of its development, the drama is diluted in small doses (which, incidentally, are almost imperceptible). Between one dramatic drop and another, countless action scenes build what should be the true story of the movie: a drama that never really assumes this identity (at least not before reaching its final moments). There is no well-developed linearity in the construction of ideas, and although this was intentional, when everything seems to have gotten out of control, things start to no longer make as much sense. Events become something totally random to awaken some kind of empathy in the audience.

In the search for understanding (but never for answers) that connect the real world with the multiverse, the characters parade across the screen throwing the most diverse types of punches and kicks to distract those who are watching from their mistakes and lack of dramatic depth. By the way, having chosen to bet on creative action scenes was a great idea, because without it, this movie would probably never exist (or even make any sense). This junction of concepts is not strong enough to keep the movie standing, which despite falling several times, manages to rise again. Although not always in the best possible way, because it is a charismatic project, it does not become bad.

The cast led by Michelle Yeoh delivers a good job (although she has done better things before). By the way, I must say that I was very surprised by Jamie Lee Curtis' performance, which flows between the comic, the dramatic and the strange. Another name that has a good highlight in the plot is Ke Huy Quan (who, despite also delivering an interesting performance, is not enough to enter the fray for a Best Supporting Actor category). Overall, the cast is cohesive and has visible chemistry, but the dramatization of the characters is too sparse to be considered highly emotional.

Written and directed by the duo of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, it is clear that they struggled to make a movie with a totally atypical approach to what would normally happen with the type of plot they had in hand. Particularly speaking, I think that it is precisely because of this “surprise factor” with which the movie was executed, that the Best Picture nomination became a reality. The project as a whole is very good, the idea is very creative and with a frenetic and very well-timed editing of scenes, it manages to “mask” the weakest points that are there. In essence, the truth is that the script is shallow, and what makes it become something bigger is the good direction, and the good cast.

Everything Everywhere All at Once would have been a much more interesting movie if it had been more stripped down and to the point. Relying on great technical aspects (especially the special effects), this is the kind of movie where the audience needs to turn off their brain for a good part of the time so that it can make sense. At the end of the third act, he tries to justify all his “weirdness” with dramatic elements that culminate in an explosion of feelings that is very beautiful to be watched, but that ends up not having a really big impact because everything that has happened before turns the experience into something else. something less impressive. In other words, there is a kind of “collective outbreak” here, where dramatic situations are fragmented within an uncontrolled subconscious.

Los dramas familiares son verdaderamente una fuente inagotable de inspiración para los guionistas de todo el mundo. La inmersión que este género cinematográfico logra traer al público es una locura y esto sucede básicamente porque suele ser fácil identificar quién está al otro lado de la pantalla. No parece ser el caso de esta nueva apuesta de los estudios A24, que a pesar de tener como trasfondo principal una buena trama dramática, no consigue elegir (o decidir) los mejores caminos para desarrollar la película de forma que consiga cautivar a la audiencia a través de su enfoque, que casi raya en algo demasiado psicodélico hasta el punto de insistir en querer convertirse en algo mucho más grande (y mucho más relevante) de lo que realmente es en su totalidad.

Una familia “rota” por diferentes puntos de vista se separa paulatinamente, porque no logran mantener un consenso y mucho menos entenderse en relación a sus diferencias. Aliado a esta trama, hay una trama que funciona como una visión realista (sin embargo, es solo paralela) sobre todos los eventos de la realidad que suceden en una especie de “multiverso”. Esta combinación de ideas y libertad poética para escribir argumentos con un nivel casi delirante y muy trepidante para resultar inmersivo o conmovedor es una de las grandes bazas y problemas aquí. Si, por un lado, el “carnaval” de las ideas es visualmente interesante… Por otro lado, está sobrevalorado por ser superficial.

La indecisión sobre el futuro de la propia trama acaba siendo un verdadero (ya veces incómodo) tiro en el pie, a pesar de que la película consigue seguir funcionando durante algo más de dos horas. Traer justificaciones que inicialmente son totalmente aleatorias a la trama hace que la película sea algo interesante. El hecho de querer mantener a la audiencia “perdida” a propósito durante buena parte del desarrollo del proyecto fue una buena idea, pero cuando cada una de las justificaciones empieza a perder sentido (en relación a fundamentar el guión de una forma más creíble manera), la película comienza a entrar en un bucle de tiempo extremadamente extraño, agotador y poco interesante.

Durante buena parte de su desarrollo, el dramatismo se diluye en pequeñas dosis (que, por cierto, son casi imperceptibles). Entre una gota dramática y otra, innumerables escenas de acción construyen lo que debería ser la verdadera historia de la película: un drama que nunca asume realmente esta identidad (al menos no antes de llegar a sus momentos finales). No hay una linealidad bien desarrollada en la construcción de ideas, y aunque esto fue intencional, cuando todo parece haberse descontrolado, las cosas ya no tienen tanto sentido. Los eventos se convierten en algo totalmente aleatorio para despertar algún tipo de empatía en el público.

En la búsqueda de entendimientos (pero nunca de respuestas) que conecten el mundo real con el multiverso, los personajes desfilan por la pantalla lanzando los más diversos tipos de puñetazos y patadas para distraer a los espectadores de sus errores y falta de profundidad dramática. Por cierto, haber optado por apostar por escenas de acción creativas fue una gran idea, porque sin ella, esta película probablemente nunca existiría (ni siquiera tendría sentido). Esta unión de conceptos no es lo suficientemente fuerte como para mantener en pie la película, que a pesar de caer varias veces, logra levantarse de nuevo. Aunque no siempre de la mejor manera posible, porque es un proyecto carismático, no llega a ser malo.

El reparto encabezado por Michelle Yeoh hace un buen trabajo (aunque ella ha hecho cosas mejores antes). Por cierto, debo decir que me sorprendió mucho la actuación de Jamie Lee Curtis, que fluye entre lo cómico, lo dramático y lo extraño. Otro nombre que tiene un buen destaque en la trama es Ke Huy Quan (quien, a pesar de ofrecer también una actuación interesante, no es suficiente para entrar en la pelea por la categoría de Mejor Actor de Reparto). En general, el elenco es cohesivo y tiene una química visible, pero la dramatización de los personajes es demasiado escasa para considerarla muy emotiva.

Escrita y dirigida por el dúo de Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert, está claro que lucharon por hacer una película con un enfoque totalmente atípico de lo que normalmente sucedería con el tipo de trama que tenían entre manos. Particularmente hablando, creo que es precisamente por este “factor sorpresa” con el que se ejecutó la película, que la nominación a Mejor Película se hizo realidad. El proyecto en su conjunto es muy bueno, la idea es muy creativa y con un montaje de escenas frenético y muy bien sincronizado, consigue “enmascarar” los puntos más débiles que hay. En esencia, la verdad es que el guión es superficial, y lo que hace que se convierta en algo más grande es la buena dirección, y el buen reparto.

Todo a la vez en todas partes habría sido una película mucho más interesante si hubiera sido más simple y directa. Apoyándose en grandes aspectos técnicos (especialmente los efectos especiales), este es el tipo de película en la que el público necesita desconectar su cerebro durante una buena parte del tiempo para que pueda tener sentido. Al final del tercer acto, intenta justificar toda su “rareza” con elementos dramáticos que culminan en una explosión de sentimientos muy bonita de ver, pero que termina sin tener un gran impacto porque todo lo que ha pasado before convierte la experiencia en algo más, algo menos impresionante. En otras palabras, aquí hay una especie de “estallido colectivo”, donde situaciones dramáticas se fragmentan dentro de un subconsciente descontrolado.

Dramas familiares são uma verdadeira fonte inesgotável de inspiração para os roteiristas de todos os lugares do mundo. A imersão que esse gênero cinematográfico consegue trazer para o público é algo insano e isso acontece basicamente porque geralmente acontece uma fácil identificação por parte de quem está do outro lado da tela. Não parece ser o caso desta nova empreitada dos estúdios A24, que apesar de ter uma boa estória dramática como plano de fundo principal, não consegue escolher (e nem decidir) os melhores caminhos certos para desenvolver o filme de maneira que consegue cativar o público pela sua abordagem, que por muito pouco não beira algo psicodélico demais a ponto de insistir em querer se tornar em algo muito maior (e bem mais relevante) do que ele na verdade é no total.

Uma família “quebrada” por pontos de vistas diversos gradualmente vai se separando, por não conseguirem manter um consenso e muito menos se entenderem em relação às suas divergências. Aliado a essa trama, há uma trama que funciona como uma visão realista (porém, é apenas paralela) sobre todos os acontecimentos da realidade que acontecem em uma espécie de “multiverso”. Essa junção de ideias e liberdade poética para escrever argumentos com um nível quase delirante e bem frenético para ser imersivo ou comovente é um dos grandes trunfos e problemas aqui. Se por um lado, o “carnaval” de ideias é visualmente interessante... Por outro, ele é superestimado por ser superficial.

Durante uma boa parte do seu desenvolvimento, o drama é diluído em pequenas doses (que aliás, são quase imperceptíveis). Entre um pingo dramático e outro, incontáveis cenas de ação vão construindo aquilo que deveria ser a verdadeira estória do filme: um drama que realmente nunca assume essa identidade (pelo menos não antes de chegar em seus momentos finais). Na busca pelo entendimento (mas nunca por respostas) que conectem o mundo real com o multiverso, os personagens vão desfilando na tela disferindo os mais diversos tipos de socos e chutes para distrair a quem está assistindo dos seus erros e falta de aprofundamentos dramáticos. Aliás, ter escolhido apostar em cenas de ação criativas foi uma ótima ideia, porque sem isso, esse filme provavelmente nunca iria existir (ou muito menos fazer algum sentido). Essa junção de conceitos não é forte o suficiente para manter o filme de pé, que apesar de cair várias vezes, consegue se reerguer. Ainda que não isso sempre da melhor maneira possível, pelo fato de ser um projeto carismático, ele não se torna ruim.

O elenco liderado por Michelle Yeoh entrega um bom trabalho (mas já fez coisas melhores antes). Inclusive, eu preciso dizer que eu fiquei muito surpreso com à atuação da *Jamie Lee Curtis, que flui entre o cômico, o dramático e o estranho. Outro nome que tem um bom destaque na trama é o Ke Huy Quan (que apesar de também entregar uma atuação interessante, não é o suficiente para entrar na briga por uma categoria de Melhor Ator Coadjuvante). No geral, o elenco é coeso e tem uma química visível, mas a dramatização dos personagens é muito dispersa para ser considerada como algo bem emocional.

Escrito e dirigido pela dupla Daniel Kwan e Daniel Scheinert, é notório que eles se esforçaram para fazer um filme com uma abordagem totalmente atípica ao que normalmente aconteceria com o tipo de trama que eles tinham em mãos. Particularmente falando, eu acho que é justamente por esse “fator surpresa” com o qual o filme foi executado, que à indicação a Melhor Filme se tornou uma realidade. O conjunto do projeto é muito bom, à ideia é muito criativa e com uma edição de cenas frenética e muito bem cronometrada, consegue “mascarar” os pontos mais fracos que estão ali. Na essência, a verdade é que o roteiro é raso, e o que faz ele se tornar em algo maior é à boa direção, e o bom elenco.

Tudo em Todo Lugar ao Mesmo Tempo seria um filme muito mais interessante se tivesse sido mais enxugado e tivesse ido direto ao ponto. Se apoiando em ótimos aspectos técnicos (principalmente os efeitos especiais), esse é aquele tipo de filme onde o público precisa desligar o cérebro durante uma boa parte do tempo para que ele consiga fazer sentido. No final do terceiro ato, ele tenta justificar toda à sua “estranheza” com elementos dramáticos que culminam em uma explosão de sentimentos muito bonita de ser assistida, mas que acaba não tendo um impacto realmente grande porque tudo que já aconteceu antes torna a experiência em algo menos impactante. Em outras palavras, há aqui uma espécie de “surto coletivo”, onde situações dramáticas são fragmentadas dentro de um subconsciente descontrolado.

Released in theaters in 1948 and masterfully directed (in absolutely every way possible) by the unsurpassed master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock, I consider the incredible Rope to be one of the most intriguing and intelligent movies involving a murder (in fact, in this movie everything happens because of cause of this particular act) that has already been done so far. Over the decades, I can count on one hand how many movies have managed to do something similar.

Starting with the plot itself. In this movie, we are faced with a great mental patchwork that is developed within an extremely engaging script (even though it is not that agile) and that is always developed with great attention to detail. In the plot, two friends kill another friend just to prove to themselves that contrary to what many people actually believe, a “perfect murder” can actually be committed.

Philip (Farley Granger) and Brandon (John Dall) hang their friend David (Dick Hogan) in the living room of their own apartment. Then, they place the body inside a large trunk that ends up being used as a living room table so that guests at a supposedly friendly meeting can enjoy a dinner that they will serve. The idea here is to prove that no one will discover the crime, but they didn't expect Rupert (James Stewart) to get in the way of this plan.

During the night of the dinner, Rupert manages to uncover this secret inadvertently (because he was not an eyewitness to the crime), and with his professional knowledge, little by little the teacher discovers his students' secret. However, until this happens (during a sensational climax that encourages discussion about morals, ethics and mental health), the script offers us intricate situations and a very inviting mystery.

Everything in this movie is well done. From its production and filming methods (which was something revolutionary for the time) to the excellent performances of the cast and spectacular directing work by Hitchcock (this being one of the best and most creative works of his entire career, in my humble opinion opinion). The hypnotic soundtrack also deserves a particular highlight and this helps to create the context of frantic suspense that surrounds the project on all sides.

Rope is a true lesson in how to make an extremely insightful thriller movie. Cinema in its purest essence, where a single act is capable of triggering devastating situations for people who are in close relationships with them. In a time of great censorship within American cinema, Hitchcock broke the rules and brought us a timeless movie that certainly still influences many other filmmakers around the world to this day.

Estrenada en cines en 1948 y dirigida magistralmente (en absolutamente todos los sentidos posibles) por el insuperable maestro del suspense Alfred Hitchcock, considero que la increíble La soga es una de las películas más intrigantes e inteligentes sobre un asesinato (de hecho, en esta película todo sucede por causa de este acto en particular) que ya se ha hecho hasta ahora. A lo largo de las décadas, puedo contar con una mano cuántas películas han logrado hacer algo similar.

Empezando por la trama misma. En esta película nos encontramos ante un gran mosaico mental que se desarrolla dentro de un guion sumamente atrapante (aunque no tan ágil) y que siempre está desarrollado con gran atención al detalle. En la trama, dos amigos matan a otro solo para demostrarse a sí mismos que, contrariamente a lo que mucha gente cree, en realidad se puede cometer un “asesinato perfecto”.

Philip (Farley Granger) y Brandon (John Dall) cuelgan a su amigo David (Dick Hogan) en la sala de su propio apartamento. Luego, colocan el cuerpo dentro de un gran baúl que termina siendo utilizado como mesa de salón para que los invitados a una reunión supuestamente amistosa puedan disfrutar de una cena que ellos servirán. La idea aquí es demostrar que nadie descubrirá el crimen, pero no esperaban que Rupert (James Stewart) se interpusiera en este plan.

Durante la noche de la cena, Rupert logra descubrir este secreto sin darse cuenta (porque no fue testigo ocular del crimen), y con sus conocimientos profesionales, poco a poco el profesor descubre el secreto de sus alumnos. Sin embargo, hasta que esto suceda (durante un clímax sensacional que fomenta la discusión sobre moral, ética y salud mental), el guión nos ofrece situaciones intrincadas y un misterio muy atractivo.

Todo en esta película está bien hecho. Desde sus métodos de producción y rodaje (que fue algo revolucionario para la época) hasta las excelentes actuaciones del reparto y el espectacular trabajo de dirección de Hitchcock (siendo este uno de los mejores y más creativos trabajos de toda su carrera, en mi humilde opinión). La hipnótica banda sonora también merece un punto destacado y ayuda a crear el contexto de suspense frenético que rodea el proyecto por todos lados.

La soga es una verdadera lección sobre cómo hacer una película de suspenso extremadamente reveladora. Cine en estado puro, donde un solo acto es capaz de desencadenar situaciones devastadoras para las personas que mantienen una relación estrecha con ellos. En una época de gran censura dentro del cine estadounidense, Hitchcock rompió las reglas y nos trajo una película atemporal que ciertamente todavía influye a muchos otros cineastas de todo el mundo hasta el día de hoy.

Lançado nos cinemas em 1948 e dirigido magistralmente (em absolutamente todos os sentidos possíveis) pelo mestre insuperável do suspense Alfred Hitchcock, eu considero o incrível Festim Diabólico como um dos filmes mais intrigantes e mais inteligentes envolvendo um assassinato (aliás, neste filme tudo acontece por causa deste ato em particular) que já foi feito até então. Ao longo de décadas, eu consigo contar nos dedos quantos filmes conseguiram fazer algo similar.

Começando pela trama em que si. Neste filme, nós estamos diante de uma grande colcha de retalhos mentais que é desenvolvida dentro de um roteiro extremamente envolvente (mesmo não sendo tão ágil) e que se desenvolve sempre com bastante atenção aos detalhes. Na trama, dois amigos matam um outro amigo apenas para provar para si mesmos que ao contrário do que muitas pessoas realmente acreditam, um “assassinato perfeito” pode realmente ser cometido.

Desde à sua produção e métodos de filmagens (que foi algo revolucionário para a época) até as atuações excelentes do elenco e um trabalho de direção espetacular do Hitchcock (sendo este um dos melhores e mais criativos trabalhos de toda a carreira dele, na minha humilde opinião). A trilha sonora hipnótica também merece um destaque em particular e isso ajuda a criar o contexto de suspense frenético que cerca o projeto por todos os lados.

Festim Diabólico é uma verdadeira aula de como fazer um filme de suspense extremamente perspicaz. Cinema em sua mais pura essência, onde um único ato é capaz de desencadear situações devastadoras para as pessoas que estão com relações próximas a elas. Em uma época de muita censura dentro do cinema americano, Hitchcock quebrou as regras e nos trouxe um filme atemporal e que certamente até hoje influencia outros tantos cineastas ao redor de todo mundo.

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening, ladies and gentlemen. How are you all doing today? I hope very well. As for me, I could say that I am in perfect condition. I have regained the excitement of wanting to watch movies, series, and anime, something that had been failing me for a few months now. So now, I am constantly saving names of movies that caught my attention with their description, and gradually, I will be watching them, bringing you reviews of the works that I enjoyed the most along the way. The movie I am about to talk to you about next is one that caught my eye because the main actor in the film is Zac Efron. I'm not a big fan of his movies; I have only seen a few of his comedies and the High School Musical series. Beyond that, the last thing I knew about him was people complaining about the surgeries he had on his face. However, since the central plot of the film itself was good and based on real events, I had to watch it, especially considering that it was produced by the studio of the moment, where apparently everything they do turns to gold, A24. I can't say much because technically I have only seen two movies from that production company, this one and another horror film. Anyway, this movie refers to a "curse" that a family dedicated to wrestling had. I'm not a big fan of wrestling, but since they were surely going to focus on other aspects, it was enough reason for me to give it a watch. So without further ado, let's talk about The Iron Claw.

The movie puts us in the shoes of Kevin von Erich, the eldest of the von Erich brothers, a young man who peacefully lives his life on a Texas ranch with his family, being very close with his brothers, all of them loving each other and supporting each other. Problems start because of Fritz von Erich, the father of the boys, who always had the frustrated dream of being a world champion (he believed they had something against them which prevented him from reaching the top), forcing each and every one of his sons to follow his legacy, not allowing any of them to explore their true passions (like pursuing music or other sports). Fritz, as his sons achieve results, will show favoritism towards one or the other, changing at times and even being cruel, believing in that old mentality that men don't cry and that being strong is all that matters to overcome adversities; when it came to any sentimental issue, he seemed completely uninterested and neglected his sons. I think without a doubt I love the pace and character development in this movie. During the first hour, the film introduces us to the main characters, their motivations, and their personalities, why they are the way they are and why they do what they do, why they make certain decisions. Later on, reality hits us one by one, just when you think nothing could go wrong, that's when things go wrong. The second hour of the movie is full of one tragedy after another, always with the audience hoping it will stop because you've become attached to the brothers, you want them to be happy but the damage is already done. The worst part is realizing that the real-life story is even more tragic, with many more sad events and another brother. After seeing so much death, you wonder, were the brothers truly cursed or were they victims of their environment? Was it fate for all the brothers to die and only Kevin to survive, or was it all the father's fault for being focused solely on wrestling? One thing that struck me a bit is that there isn't a clear culprit, as if the decision is left to the viewer to choose what really happened, to form their own opinion. You even question whether there was truly a villain or if it was a series of unfortunate events that slowly led to the von Erich family's downfall.

The performance of the brothers is one of the best things about this movie, you truly feel that beautiful brotherhood and who knows, maybe even get jealous of having such a beautiful brotherhood like the ones they had, when they were happy and not when they were all forced to fight. I really think it's very difficult to convey that feeling, that we are seeing real people, not just a character from a movie, it is achieved perfectly here and especially with Kevin, who being the only survivor of his brothers, we see all his facets and his different moods, impeccable work by Zac Efron. Another scene that I liked very much is when the last of Kevin's brothers dies and he reunites with his other brothers in the afterlife, it is a very beautiful scene to me. Now maybe what I will do after watching this movie is to watch some others produced by A24, as well as obviously researching a little more about the interesting and tragic story about this family, there might be a documentary out there. Obviously I totally recommend this audiovisual material, one of the best I have seen this year.

For some time I have had a not very positive opinion about Live-Action manga and anime; I have seen several of these productions which I have not enjoyed completely and I think that in Japan they try very hard to faithfully recreate the original material and often that is impossible, being that what I consider that affects a movie or TV series; now there are other productions where without stopping practicing the above, I think that in a surprising way they make them work, which creates a production worthy of the story which is based.

Desde hace cierto tiempo tengo una opinión poco positiva sobre los Live-Action de mangas y anime; he visto varias de estas producciones las cuales no he disfrutado por completo y es que creo que en Japón se esfuerzan mucho por recrear fielmente el material original y muchas veces eso es imposible, siendo eso lo que considero que afecta una película o serie de TV;  ahora justamente existe otras producciones en dónde sin dejar de practicar lo antes dicho, creo que de una manera sorprendente hacen que funcionen, lo cual crea una producción digna de la historia la cual está basada.

Before watching this movie I had not read a single episode of the manga, nor had I seen an episode of the original anime, but the good reviews from people who are fans of the original material pushed me to watch this film which is directed by Yūichi Satō, who does an excellent job; the action sequences are very good, especially the one that starts the film, which in my opinion is the best because it has very good fight scenes, chase and comedy, characteristic elements of this story; the camera work to follow the agile of its protagonist is excellent, that makes highlight the action and comedy scenes, makes it entertaining and very dynamic.

That the script has the participation of Tsukasa Hôjô is something nice and right, since he is the creator of the manga of "City Hunter"; he together with Tatsuro Mishima, screenwriter of other Netflix original productions; they know how to use this story to be an origin story about this stage of the characters, as well as one more episode of both the manga or the anime; the important thing about the script lies in that the essence of the story in reference to comedy and action is maintained in great percentage, let's remember that this film is based on a manga from the 80' so the "humor" that worked at that time, now can be considered aggressive and annoying and I think that in this film, both Hôjô and Mishima, found a perfect balance for the protagonist and his witticisms in this story.

Antes de ver esta película no había leído ni un solo episodio del manga, ni había visto un episodio del anime original, pero las buenas críticas de personas que son seguidores del material original me impulso a ver este film el cual está dirigido por Yūichi Satō, quien hace un excelente trabajo; la secuencias de acción son muy buenas, en especial la que da comienzo al film, la cual en mi opinión es la mejor porque tiene muy buenas escenas de pelea, de persecución y comedia, elementos característicos de esta historia; el trabajo de cámara para seguir lo ágil de su protagonista es excelente, eso hace que resaltar las escenas de acción y comedia, lo hace entretenido y muy dinámico.

Que el guion cuente con la participación de Tsukasa Hôjô es algo agradable y correcto, ya que es el creador del manga de "City Hunter"; él junto a Tatsuro Mishima, guionista de otras producciones originales de Netflix; saben cómo usar esta historia para ser una de origen sobre esta etapa de los personajes, así como un episodio más tanto del manga o del anime; lo importante del guion radica en que se mantiene en gran porcentaje la esencia de la historia en referencia a la comedia y la acción, recordemos que este film es basado en un manga de los 80' así que el "humor" que funcionó en esa época, ahora puede considerarse agresivo y molesto y creo que en este film, tanto Hôjô como Mishima, encontraron un balance perfecto para el protagonista y sus ocurrencias en esta historia.

Muy extrañamente al ver un live-action de algún manga o anime, prefiero ver primeramente el material original para así tener un pleno conocimiento, pero está vez ocurrió todo lo contrario y al ver algunos episodios del anime estrenado a finales de los 80', me hizo entender y apreciar mucho más el trabajo que se realizó en este film por todos los involucrados y aunque esta película no es perfecta por no contar con un pleno desarrollo de la contraparte de los protagonistas, todo lo referente a Ryo como personaje principal y su gran atracción hacia las mujeres, su necesidad de exponerse y hasta su poca o nula humildad es lo que personalmente me ha gustado, mantiene la esencia (en este caso) del anime sin hacerlo ver para nada exagerado; espero que en un futuro próximo esta película tenga una secuela, creo que hay mucho material para una franquicia exitosa (en su versión de live-action) que respeta y rinde un gran homenaje a su material de origen; creo que City Hunter, tiene todavía muchos casos que resolver.

However, it remains to be seen what the interactions between these characters will be like.

Hello friends! Today I stopped by to bring you the review of a movie I saw last weekend, a comedy but this time not a romantic one, obviously it has some romance but it's not the main theme in this case. It is also based on a real event. I am talking about the movie called Music.

Trama - Plot

La película sigue la historia de un joven brasileño que vive junto a su madre en Nueva Jersey. Desde niño tiene el don de percibir ritmos en los sonidos ambientales que se encuentran a su alrededor, pero a veces lo siente como una maldición porque lo desconcentra en momentos inoportunos. Además, tiene fascinación por las marionetas y creó un personaje llamado Diego con el que trabaja las noches en el subterráneo. Todavía no tiene muy claro lo qué hacer con su vida, solo sabe que le gustan las marionetas y la música, su madre se esfuerza para que termine su carrera y su novia lo presiona para que siente cabeza, consiga un trabajo de verdad y se muden a la gran ciudad. En medio de este desastre que es su vida y su mente conoce a Isabella, una joven que parece comprenderlo y con la que podrá ser el mismo. 

The film follows the story of a young Brazilian boy who lives with his mother in New Jersey. Since he was a child, he has had the gift of perceiving rhythms in the ambient sounds around him, but sometimes he feels it as a curse because he gets distracted at inopportune moments. He is also fascinated by puppets and created a character named Diego with whom he works at night in the subway. Reseña - Review

Me topé con esta película de casualidad porque a veces ni yo sé lo que quiero ver, estaba apunto de poner un documental sobre tigres pero soy bastante sentimental con estos temas y temía el contenido con el que me podría cruzar porque ya sabemos que la naturaleza y su ley puede ser muy dura. Así que navegando encontré esta película y me gustó que tratará sobre la música y la cultura brasileña desde otro país, además de que conocía a una de las actrices protagónicas, Camila Méndez, es por ello que decidí darle una oportunidad.

I stumbled upon this film by chance because sometimes even I don't know what I want to see, I was about to put a documentary about tigers but I'm quite sentimental about these issues and I was afraid of the content I could come across because we already know that nature and its law can be very hard. So while surfing I found this movie and I liked that it was about Brazilian music and culture from another country, plus I knew one of the leading actresses, Camila Mendez, that's why I decided to give it a chance.

Tenía pinta de ser más comedia que otra cosa y me agrada que sea así, estoy necesitando reír, no me reí tanto pero tampoco tuve que pensar mucho y me sirvió para distraerme. Aparte el hecho de que estuviera basada en algo real me dio mucha curiosidad. Y sí, es interesante de ver también. Me encanta como Rudy podía crear música prestando atención a los sonidos ambientales, cuando me pongo a intentarlo solo escucho ruido, pero para otros puede ser música. Es fascinante.

It looked more like a comedy than anything else and I'm glad it is, I'm in need of a laugh, I didn't laugh that much but I didn't have to think too much either and it served to distract me. Besides the fact that it was based on something real made me very curious. And yes, it's interesting to watch too. I love how Rudy could create music by paying attention to ambient sounds, when I try it I only hear noise, but for others it can be music. It's fascinating.

Me encantó su historia de superación y como tocar fondo fue el puntapié que necesitaba para despegar. A veces no hay nada mejor que reírte de tus desgracias y aprender a facturar con ello, como bien lo hizo el amigo Rudy. Se me hizo muy curioso que teniendo el don que tiene para la música le haya podido más el tema de las marionetas, si ven la película van a entender de qué les estoy hablando.

I loved his story of overcoming and how hitting rock bottom was the kick he needed to take off. Sometimes there is nothing better than laughing at your misfortunes and learning to deal with it, as Rudy did. It was very curious to me that having the gift he has for music, he was more interested in puppets, if you see the movie you will understand what I'm talking about.

Además, hay algunos planos muy interesantes, me encantó la construcción de los escenarios y la forma de contarnos la historia. La dirección fue impecable y el trabajo de cámara también, muy buenos planos la verdad, hay que destacarlo. Las actuaciones también me gustaron y hubo un par de escenas bastante cómicas. 

In addition, there are some very interesting shots, I loved the construction of the scenery and the way the story is told. The direction was impeccable and the camera work as well, very good shots really, it should be noted. I also liked the performances and there were a couple of very funny scenes.

Sin dudas, pase un rato agradable viendo esta película y tuvo un final satisfactorio. Así que se las recomiendo para ver algo distinto, no sé si llamarlo así pero en esa definición anda. 

Undoubtedly, I had a nice time watching this movie and it had a satisfying ending. So I recommend it to see something different, I don't know if I should call it that, but it fits that definition.

Friends of #MOVIE, surely more than one of you will remember this famous movie starring the great actor Jim Carrey, a classic, a very charismatic character, with a sense of humor, but funny and contagious, you could say.

Yesterday, I started looking for a movie, one of those old, but good ones, that made you laugh a little, nowadays it is difficult to get a good comic movie, I don't know why, as if they have lost their spark, well, with time many things change, and even the actors, lose their charm.

But let's go back to the movie, who doesn't remember the famous man of LA MÁSCARA, a character, eloquent, funny, restless, that infects you with his madness; This film is based on the life of Stanley Ipkiss, an employee of one of the banks in the city, with a weak character, where anyone mistreats him and he just keeps quiet, until one day, he finds a famous mask of one of the gods, something malicious and mischievous, this is where Stanley's life changes completely, when he puts on this mask.

Jim Carrey does a great job in personifying this character, all charismatic, it is good to remember those classic movies, that were entertaining, with unforgettable scenes, that still remain today; how not to remember the part where he dances with the cops, for my favorite scene, it is a crazy thing, that only happen in the movies hahaha, can you imagine going down the street, and see a group of cops dancing and singing with a supposed criminal? well this is what we will see here.
