Rick and Michonne are back at it in the wild, this is good because from now on the series will be more versatile in terms of whats going to happen next, its not anymore about CRM conspiracy but also surviving in the wild so possibilities are infinite. Before they came to an agreement to stay together an entire twenty four hour argument had to happen, this episode made me feel like I was in my 20s again having an argument with my girlfriend, those type of argument that last for days and not even how hard you try can't come to an agreement, it was exhausting and I was constantly wanting to fast forward but that would ruin the episode for me so I had to stay put with all the bullshit of this episode, I have to say TWD does have a strong fan base because on IMDB this episode got a 9.2 with over 2600+ votes, WTF!
In my opinion this is the worst episode from the last three spin off considering this is the best spin off out of the three, it sounds weird but that's just how I see it, besides there was nothing special about the ending, I didn't like it at all but that doesn't mean its a 1/10 that would be ridiculous just as some people score movies and tv series online, to be fair I would give it a 6/10.

On episode three after their mission, the CRM helicopter was heading back to Philadelphia during a storm, Michonne open the helicopter door and take Rick down with her without even knowing where they would land, there is no way she knew they were over water at that point, probably saw something from the front helicopter window but still. Landed in the water, went back to shore and got into a building where the entire argument starts, Rick immediately ask for the PBR (GPS) back since he lost his, to let know the CRM where they are.

Surprise surprise, Michonne with Rick with, you have another kid his name is Rick too, how about that, she was pregnant when Rick disappear after the bridge incident, his son is the one who call him the Brave Men. Comando, episode reference for Rick jeje; answers back we have to go back.

This is if I'm not mistaken the first 20 minutes of the episode, every argument ends up with give me the PRB we need to go back, doesn't matter how and how many times Michonne tries to raise the case that they have children back home waiting for them, asking for their father and Rick refuse to go back mainly because he fears Jadis will go looking for them because she is all in for the CRM cause and that implies to keep it a secret.

The next day after the storm Michonne is over arguing with Rick because he is the one who does not want to go back so she gave him the PRB and notice that the helicopter they were flying in had hit the building next to them, she save Rick by jumping from the helicopter, this means they are "dead" too, minutes after they notice this another CRM helicopter comes in and launch rockets to destroy the helicopter that had crash trying to leave zero evidence of the CRM behind. Another argument about the hole situation starts, my eyes role back thinking here we go again but Michonne this time cut the bullshit and decided to go home without Rick and he finally decided to go with her, wasn't easy because the first time they try after another big argument there were walkers outside who stop them from leaving.

Finally after all the arguments and talking Rick explains why he could not go back with her, it was not the fear that the CRM or Jadis will go looking for them, Rick lost his memories, he forgot Carl face first and then fear he would forget Michonne too, that's why he kept trying to dream about her, there was episode with Rick and Michonne eating in the park, I was like that never happen why this images, well it was Rick forcing himself to not forgetting Michonne face, that is why Rick couldn't go back with her, at times he totally forgot what he felt for her and now that she is back he remembers but there is some weird confusion going on with him.

If you ask me this is not a confusing episode, its very simple, Rick try everything he could to escape the CRM and go back with Michonne for years, more than eight years trying to escape form the CRM even cut his arm to the point he start forgetting his love ones, like his son Carl and fear he forgets about Michonne too but when he finally took the desicion to go all in the CRM, when the military life suck him in, Okafor gave him a purpose again a life within the CRM by promoting him, days latter Michonne appears again on his life, the decision was easy go back with her but he didn't he actually made things worst for them by taking Michonne back with him to Philadephia because Jadis now knows they together and I'm sure that most likely she will go after them the main reason for this assumption is because Rick knows way too much about the CRM and Jadis did mention that if they escape would be the first ones to do it, the CRM will lift every stone on earth to find them and finish them.

After the most recent statements by Pierce Brosnan (who has played agent 007 in precisely four movies throughout this franchise) regarding the nomination of Cillian Murphy to play the next protagonist of the British agent's movie, and Murphy's own Oscar victory as Best Actor for the movie Oppenheimer, rumors about bringing the actor into the universe of the famous and intriguing English espionage are getting bigger and more consistent.

Although everything is still a great speculation (because nothing official has been said by the studio at this point), Murphy's name seems to have entered the betting pool regarding this dispute. After Daniel Craig ended his participation in the saga (after starring in five movies), the franchise is currently without its protagonist. Bringing in Cillian Murphy would, in addition to being an excellent marketing strategy (for obvious reasons) for the saga, but... Things go much further than that.

Personally speaking, I consider Murphy to be one of the best actors of this generation. Even though it is still the least popular name (at least until its victory at the last edition of the Oscar) among all those who have already been considered for this role, when it comes to quality of performances and characteristic identity over the essence of a character, I can actually visualize him as James Bond without having to make any effort to do so.

Thinking more commercially, his name is not in demand as much. However, after adding a golden statuette to his list of awards, things will change radically and his name will begin to be recognized more naturally. This organic factor works in his favor, because once inside the 007 franchise, he can be an extremely suitable interpreter of the studio's expectations and would certainly be a very eccentric James Bond.

Sin embargo, tras sumar una estatuilla dorada a su palmarés, la cosa cambiará radicalmente y su nombre empezará a ser reconocido con mayor naturalidad. Este factor orgánico juega a su favor, porque una vez dentro de la franquicia 007, puede ser un intérprete muy adecuado a las expectativas del estudio y, sin duda, sería un James Bond muy excéntrico.

Embora tudo ainda seja uma grande especulação (porque nada oficial foi dito pelo estúdio até este momento), o nome do Murphy parece ter entrado no bolão de apostas sobre essa disputa. No entanto, após adicionar uma estatueta de ouro à sua lista de prêmios, as coisas irão mudar radicalmente e o nome dele começará a ser reconhecido com uma maior naturalidade. Esse fator orgânico funciona a favor dele, porque uma vez dentro da franquia do 007, ele pode ser um intérprete extremamente adequado as expectativas do estúdio e com certeza seria um James Bond bem excêntrico.

A few days ago marked the twentieth anniversary of one of the most horrific terrorist attacks organized by jihadists on European soil. It claimed the lives of 192 people. The 11M attacks on four trains in Madrid.

Disney premiered this miniseries created by Jorge and Alberto Sánchez Cabezudo. I remember both filmmakers for having been behind Crematorio, the series adapted from the novel by Rafael Chirbes, which was a production that marked a before and after. I have said it on previous occasions. With Crematorio, Spanish fiction took a great leap in quality and I included it in my top of my best series of all time.

Once again they are in charge of adapting a literary work. This time the book by journalist and writer Manuel Jabois. The writer did a research work, documented the whole process of the macro trial and interviewed Gabriel Montoya Vidal, whose character is the main protagonist.

It should be noted that the story is narrated by this character. The one known as El Baby and also nicknamed El Gitanillo. It is not the story of the terrorist group that carried out the attack. It is the story of a gang of common criminals who got involved with Muslims who, behind their facade of drug dealers, was a cell that had been planning a terrible attack for years.

A ambos cineastas los recuerdo por haber estado detrás de Crematorio, la serie adaptación de la novela de Rafael Chirbes, que fue una producción que marcó un antes y un después. Lo he dicho en anteriores ocasiones. Con Crematorio, la ficción española dio un gran salto de calidad y la incluí en mi top de mis mejores series de todos los tiempos.

Una vez más son ellos los encargados de adaptar una obra literaria. Esta vez el libro del periodista y escritor Manuel Jabois. El escritor realizó un trabajo de investigación, documentó todo el proceso del macrojuicio y entrevistó a Gabriel Montoya Vidal, cuyo personaje es el principal protagonista.

Cabe destacar que la historia es narrada por este personaje. El conocido como El Baby y también apodado El Gitanillo. No es la historia del grupo terrorista que realizó el atentado. Es la historia de una banda de delincuentes comunes que se involucraron con musulmanes que tras su fachada de narcotraficantes, era una célula que llevaba años planeando un terrible atentado.

Do not think that they are trying to whitewash the image of criminals. Not at all. That's why I quite liked the miniseries. Terrorist acts are things I abhor. Taking the lives of innocents for religious or political ideologies is so despicable. Disgusting. That's where I wish there was the death penalty everywhere, to exterminate these monsters who think they have a divine right to kill and instill terror.

From the very first episode we are shown the adverse social situation in which El Baby grew up. But just as he has never regretted what he did, that is made very clear. As it says in the story and can be seen in the trailer. Of course we will see his family background. Father. Mother. Sisters. At the end of the day, he is also a human being like everyone else, he just made bad decisions and was part, knowingly or not, of an abominable crime.

Don't worry, we won't feel empathy for that character. It's impossible. Besides, that's not the creators' intention either. They show the facts, as explained by that character, making him an unreliable narrator. There is a certain coldness in his way of telling the story. A delinquent who expects nothing from life, only to enjoy the moment.

Another point in favor of the miniseries is the respect with which the part of the attack is approached. Respect for the victims, both those who left and their families, whose lives were marked and shattered. They will never get over this loss and the production does not want to feed the morbidity. Respect for the victims is appreciated.

No piensen que pretenden blanquear la imagen de los delincuentes. En absoluto. Por eso me gustó bastante la miniserie. Los actos terroristas son cosas que aborrezco. Quitar la vida a inocentes por ideologías religiosas o políticas es tan despreciable. Repugnante. Ahí es donde me gustaría que existiera la pena de muerte en todas partes, para exterminar a estos monstruos que se creen con el derecho divino de matar e infundir terror.

Desde el primer episodio se nos muestra la adversa situación social en la que creció El Baby. Pero al igual que nunca se ha arrepentido de lo que hizo, eso queda bien claro. Como dice en la historia y se puede ver en el trailer. Por supuesto veremos su entorno familiar. Padre. Madre. Hermanas. Al fin y al cabo, también es un ser humano como todos, sólo que tomó malas decisiones y formó parte, sabiéndolo o no, de un crimen abominable.

No te preocupes, no sentiremos empatía por ese personaje. Es imposible. Además, esa tampoco es la intención de los creadores. Muestran los hechos, tal y como los explica ese personaje, convirtiéndolo en un narrador poco fiable. Hay cierta frialdad en su forma de contar la historia. Un delincuente que no espera nada de la vida, sólo disfrutar del momento.

Otro punto a favor de la miniserie es el respeto con que se aborda la parte del atentado. Respeto por las víctimas, tanto de los que se fueron y las de sus familias, cuyas vidas quedaron marcadas y destrozadas. Nunca superarán esta pérdida y la producción no quiere alimentar el morbo. Se agradece el respeto a las víctimas.

I understand that for family members, friends and people who lived through those attacks, having movies or series made about it can affect them. Cause them another shock of pain. But at the same time this kind of productions are necessary. To tell the facts. To leave a record for future generations. To be part of the memory of history, not only of a country, but of the whole world. Because the plague of terrorism can strike anywhere. Its mission is to spread terror, regardless of borders and nationalities.

A superb cast provides the necessary realism. The three actors playing El Baby. The child, the adolescent and the adult. Of course, those in the adolescent and adult stages are the ones who stand out the most in terms of screen time. Roberto Gutiérrez and Quim Ávila Conde. That criminal look that puts anyone on alert. They convey the feeling that they don't care about anything. For Gutiérrez it is his first experience as an actor and I hope to see him in other roles in the future, this is his great entry into the world of acting.

It's the actor Pol Lopez who eats up the screen with those bulging eyes that convey madness and is worth a shit everything. I'm sure he'll be nominated for an award next year for his interpretation of Emilio Trashorras. What a trick of fate, to cross the paths of this deranged man with the terrorists. The real Emilio is back in the news, calling for the euthanasia law and protesting the lack of medical attention he needs.

His characters are two monsters, the kind that are really scary, because they are the kind of destroyers that walk quietly among us.

Entiendo que para los familiares, amigos y personas que vivieron esos atentados, que se hagan películas o series sobre ello puede afectarles. Causarles otro choque de dolor. Pero al mismo tiempo este tipo de producciones son necesarias. Para contar los hechos. Para dejar constancia a las generaciones futuras. Formar parte de la memoria de la historia, no sólo de un país, sino del mundo entero. Porque la plaga del terrorismo puede golpear en cualquier parte. Su misión es sembrar el terror, sin importar fronteras ni nacionalidades.

Un reparto soberbio aporta el realismo necesario. Los tres actores que interpretan a El Baby. El niño, el adolescente y el adulto. Por supuesto, los de las etapas adolescente y adulta son los que más destacan en cuanto a tiempo en pantalla. Roberto Gutiérrez y Quim Ávila Conde. Esa mirada criminal que pone alerta a cualquiera. Transmiten la sensación de que todo les da igual. Para Gutiérrez es su primera experiencia como actor y espero verle en otros papeles en el futuro, esta es su gran entrada en el mundo de la interpretación.

Es el actor Pol López el que se come la pantalla con esos ojos saltones que transmiten locura y que vale una mierda todo. Seguro que el año que viene le nominan a un premio por su interpretación de Emilio Trashorras. Vaya jugarreta del destino, cruzar los caminos de este trastornado con los terroristas. El verdadero Emilio ha vuelto a ser noticia, pidiendo la ley de eutanasia y protestando por la falta de atención médica que necesita.

Sus personajes son dos monstruos, de esos que dan miedo de verdad, porque son la clase de destructores que caminan tranquilamente entre nosotros.

Masters Of The Air: Part Nine - E09 - RECAP

Masters of The Air mini series is over, yesterday Friday 15 the last episode, part 9 was release. There was a lot of excitement from the drama and action part of the series and I guess most people who haven't watch it ask themself is it any good? there is the kind of viewer that likes to let things cool down to then jump in, probably watch the entire mini series in three days, I have to say in my opinion this series is a 7.5/10, I have been very positive about it and I personally can deal with the way it is narrated but I also have to understand most people wont and that's why I give it a 7.5.
WWII mini series have been popular lately but most of them ran out of time, nine episodes is just not enough to cover all this side stories, from Buck and Bucky to Rosie, Crosby, Tuskegee, Alex, even Sandra who was a spy and we got a very few shoots out of that, I get the series is about the 100th men been Buck, Bucky and Crosby the main characters but come on Rosie himself has probably enough content for an entire series after 52 missions that's without talking about the Tuskegee and the P-51 that could be another entire season before you join back all this stories as they did towards the end of this mini series.

Let jump into episode nine where we will get satisfaction after many of the trailer and intro scenes happen, we start with how Rosie went down close to the Russian line, during the last days of WWII they were going hard and deep into Germany, not much resistance on the sky but a few good Flak hits can bring you down, just look at that bomber, two engines down, wing on fire, nose is gone and Rosie was still trying to keep it on the air, this are the kind of scenes that let my imagination go and ask myself what else could have they done to keep the plane on the air.

Not even Rosie himself could keep it on the air and had to bail, lucky for him he was close to Russian allies and after he landed his right arm was probably broken, Russian soldiers assist him, after a couple of flights he was back at base but during his tour through Europe, sadly he had the chance to check on a force work camps, where all prisoners were killed before let got, seems like German army only kept soldiers alive, any other human been was disposal.

As allies were getting closer and closer for some reason Germans kept moving soldier prisoners from one camp to another, this actually made no sense at all and all Germans were doing was trying to gain some time and see if something happen, same goes for Bucy and Buck, at camp none of the two sides had real interest until now.

After all this time it was not Ltt. anymore, it was Major Crosby, he was loosing it and when a crew member went to ask to open the supplies room to get their chutes to flight, Crosby pull ranks on the man in charge while pressing his head against breakfast, this tell you how long this men have been serving and all what they have gone through, getting them to the edge of loosing their temper.

I bet if there is a picture of a US soldier holding a German Soldier during march it has to be a gold mine, they were marching over 20 miles from one camp to the other in freezing conditions so you can imagine how many men were lost during this long walks, Germans were retreating, there were those who still saw glory on their army but other had lost all kind of hope, they knew it was a matter of time before allies take over.

This last part of the episodes was glorious how the camp where Buck, Alexander and the other soldiers were kept was invaded by the allies but at the same time it felt so crunch and left me hanging, it was just too easy, I can understand things seem so simple from the oustide but consider all the variables, it look like they just got there and minutes after the camp was taken by the allies, P-51 did a run by taking down a couple of watch towers at the camp and that scene was money but then I felt again left hanging.

I truly feel nine episodes is just not enough for so many characters they wanted to develop during this mini series, if it was the case that they were all taken down one by one but wth there were five soldiers who went to hell and came back including Buck, Bucky and Rosie. The Tuskegee a key force with over 500 missions confirm during the series and only had very few fight scenes and their pilots had very little screen time?? Rosie alone did 52 missions, between him and Crosby you had another season, it feels that WWII stories are not suitable for mini series.
Then again the question is, Masters of The Air any good? yes it is a great watch and I would recommend it but also clear out that scenes and time will be cut off between episodes, not to the point that you get lost but it is too obvious that way more had to happen between episodes besides that it also makes me feel that some characters were even diminish like almost every Co. at the base for the exception of Col. Harding who probably had the most screen time of them, reason why I only give it a 7.5, when all the action and dopamine rush is over from the air battles and the drama between soldiers. Masters of The Air can make you feel lost and ask how did all this happen so fast? I think war stories are just too complex and long specially for survivors like this guys who went from going war, flight, crash enemy territory, escape and then flight back again for the allies.

As its title indicates, this film focuses on Priscila, how she fell in love with Elvis, her love experience and all the things she lived by his side.

Basada en el libro Elvis and Me, que son las memorias escritas por Priscilla Beaulieu Presley, publicadas en 1985, que narra la vida matrimonial del cantante Elvis Presley y su esposa Priscila, desde que se conocieron hasta su divorcio ambientado en la década de los 50 y 60.

Como su título indica, esta película se enfoca en la protagonista Priscila, en cómo se enamoró de Elvis, su experiencia amorosa y todas las cosas que vivió a su lado.

Plot | Argumento

This was her first love; although she was a 14 year old girl and still innocent, she had a strong character and this was what captivated Elvis. They spent several years with a long distance relationship between letters and calls until she traveled from Germany, where they met, to the United States when she was about 17 years old. During a brief vacation they lived together as formal boyfriend and girlfriend and they got close enough to suppose that something happened between them.

Elvis was already a famous singer for his music and for his participation in several Hollywood movies. He knew how to handle fame and needed a woman by his side who understood him. Throughout the film we see how Elvis gives ostentatious gifts to his girlfriend, from gold watches, designer dresses to cars, but they also show some fights, with Priscilla being a victim of domestic violence.

The main causes of their marriage ending were the distance due to Elvis' work commitments and the excesses of drugs, which at the beginning were sleeping pills and antidepressants prescribed by a doctor because he was mourning the death of his mother in his best moments of fame, but he was abusing their use and adding others such as LSD.

Pasaron varios años con una relación a distancia entre cartas y llamadas hasta que cerca de sus 17 años ella viaja de Alemania lugar donde se conocieron hacia los Estados Unidos, en unas breves vacaciones convivieron como novios formales y se acercaron bastante como para suponer que pasó algo entre ellos.

Elvis ya era un cantante famoso por su música y por su participación en varias películas en Hollywood. Él sabía manejar la fama y necesitaba a su lado una mujer que lo entendiera. Durante toda la película se observa cómo Elvis le da ostentosos regalos a su novia, desde relojes de oro, vestidos de diseñador hasta autos, pero también muestran algunas peleas, siendo Priscila una víctima de violencia doméstica.

🎥 The characters are real, however, they lacked development, in the case of Priscila she looked very closed, both her moments of joy and sadness had no major change, linear emotions make the story very flat, on the other hand, what I liked the most was the costumes and makeup, I enjoyed seeing those nice dresses, hairstyles and makeup.

🎥 I think there were a lot of filler scenes that don't add anything to the movie and I would have liked to see Elvis singing even one song. If it had any positive message I guess it was the ending seeing how Priscila breaks up with her marriage and decides to start a new life, learning things, having new friendships and moving forward as a single mother, she stopped being the ornament that accompanied her husband to become the woman she wanted to be.

🎥 Los personajes se muestran reales, sin embargo, les faltó desarrollarlos, en el caso de Priscila se veía muy cerrada, tanto sus momentos de alegría como de tristeza no tenían mayor cambio, emociones lineales hacen que la historia sea muy plana, por otro lado, lo que más me agrado fue el vestuario y maquillaje disfrute ver esos lindos vestidos, peinados y maquillaje.

🎥 Creo que hubo muchas escenas de relleno, que no aportan nada a la película y me hubiese gustado ver a Elvis cantando aunque sea una canción. Si tenía algún mensaje positivo supongo que fue el final ver como Priscila rompe con su matrimonio y decide a comenzar una nueva vida, aprendiendo cosas, teniendo nuevas amistades y saliendo adelante como madre soltera, dejó de ser el adorno que acompañaba a su marido para transformarse en la mujer que quería ser.

Alex discover that her younger sister suffers a rare disease and she needs money to pay for the treatment she needs, as her only family Alex decided to do job to save her sister life. She has to stole a strange device, transport and deliver it to the right person, after she successfully stole the device she entered in a motel and stayed in a room, being there accidentally she activate the device and gets scared and decide to leave the room but when she try, she return to room again, she try again and she return to the room one more time and it happen again and again, making her realized that she is trapped in a time loop, accepting her reality she stays in the room until she received a call from Dr. Galvin, the person who built the device and asked if she needs help he can help her, she accept the help saying that will do anything, she also received another call but his time from a man that threats Alex saying that he wants the device and will move an entire army against her to get it but she just answer that she doesn’t care about that because she has time. The thriller is giving information that the audience will watch a sci-fi movie and that only one person is going to give a fight in these case Alex to achieve her goal that is return with her sister and save her life.
The movie wasn’t premiered at any festival, it is the debut of a full-length film for the indi director Richard Kodai and also will be the debut for part of the cast. The movie release is on March 19th.

While she is waiting to deliver the devices she accidentally activated it, she gets scare and try to leave the room but when she thought she did it she realized that the time rewinds to when she first enters to the room and it happen again and again, confirming that she his trapped in a time loop making that room her prison. Accepting her reality she also discover that a crime boss is hunting her for the device she possessed. This is a movie with elements of science fiction, mystery and it will keep the audience intrigue to know if Alex was finally able to get out of the loop.

Navigating Production Challenges

As an indi filmmaker Richard Kodai did face challenges to create Room 0, the first challenge was to obtain a bigger budgets for his production thing that he achieved for this movie but during the process of filming he realized that he has to be very punctual in the correct use of the budget. The situation of the budget forced the imagination of the director about locations and the cast, creating a movie in one room, with one main character and delivering a movie that by now has captivated the audience with its intriguing plot.

Room 0 is a film full of suspense and intrigue and viewing the movie is the only way to know the answer to many questions that audiences probably have but I think that the most important question is if the director Richard Kodai could achieved his goal of deliver a good movie with a good story and performances and with a low cost budget, also knowing that he is the writer, producer and director of the same. Room 0 has many intrigues due to the fact that wasn’t premiered at any festival so what is shown in the trailer is the unique information that people has about the movie and for that reason I do believe that is going to have a good reception for the unknown environment that has been created around this movie.

I feel episode eight was almost full of nothing to be hones, first it moves back and forward in the time line because on episode seven they talk about the P-51 Fighter Yet although not much about their pilots now on episode eight they start to introduce their pilots this is why when Ltt. Alex was having a talk with Cpt. Erwin they mention how the P-40 could not hold Bombers altitude as escorts, I can see how many viewers might ask why are they talking about P-40s and escort bombers if they already did, plus they mix it with future scenes about the 100ths.
On the plus side the P-51 fighting scenes were awesome but too short in my opinion, cant say I was not satisfied with the episode but could have been better, I guess its always like this when things are coming to an end, in this case the end of WWII when the allies invade Europe.

Tuskegee, that's the name of this group of pilots, P-51 deadly, fast, accurate, with bases on Italy they were constantly attacking German on small size missions but very accurate on their targets and in a similar style of RAF striking at night. If they had only made this series a two season series could had more time to develop the P-51 side story but it is really about the 100th bomber squad and not about the Tuskegee, another series about them would be awesome too and perfectly complement Masters of The Air.

Ltt. Alex Jefferson seem to be the character of this side of the story, same as Buck and Bucky or Rosie are star pilots of B-17, Alex is the star pilot of the Tuskegee and the P-51. At the moment of this conversation they had 500 missions done but Alex wanted more, he was eager to go deep into Germany but at the moment the P-40 would not hold up either on altitude or range for such attacks but P-51 were closer to be a reality and this new fighter jets would change everything for the Tuskegee.

Episode eight demonstrate desperation on all sides, from the Germans and the Allies, at the camp Buck and Bucky are desperate to get out or for something to happen, or they make something happen. Others already try to escape and as expected they got executed when capture. At base Crosby had a 72 hours run without sleep working on routes and maps for a lot of missions, they were going hard and heavy on Europe expecting the big D day, invasion day.

I hope this part of the story is true because it ads real drama to it, Crosby collapse after his third day of going, he took coffee, pills, everything he could to stay awake until nothing work for him anymore, he was going mad, started to hear things, just going through maps, planning routes and then falls face first. Crosby stay three days in bed sleeping based on a scene where Rossie was making him company, Crosby miss D day and Rosie describe how glorious it was, clear sky, not a single Luftwaffe fighter in the air and hundreds of ships arriving to the coasts of Europe, if I'm not mistaken France.

On episode seven Bucky manage to build a radio out of scraps so they were keeping up with the news, this way knowing where were the allies and how soon the was was to end although that does not mean they were going to be liberated by the Germans, most likely they were going to be transfer on foot, it was not really a transfer from location but a death march, they made them march during the cold winter until they died and those who didn't die were executed, so they had to prepare to fight back when the moment was right.

Gives the impression that Tuskegee were suicidal for the most part although during this series that's exactly how any men who gets in the sky looks like, Bombers were usually sitting ducks for the Luftwaffe fighters waiting to be taken apart and that's not taking in considerations the Flaks. Fighters like the Tuskegee were send usually on very very hard to accomplish missions but they could not back down, that was not on their dna, on episode eight the Tuskegee were send on a mission almost without return, the P-51 felt short in range and they knew it, even with additional gas tanks that would not compensate too much because of the weight, they are send to destroy German's radars at the coast of France as their goal but knowing that they either go down because they ran out gas or because they were shoot down, for this the pilots were given fake papers so IF they land close to a town they could blend in, this idea was absurd, what I'm suppose to do with the uniform? besides back in the day I guess English was not so dominant language like it is today, would be hard to blend in landing on France.

I always mention how I have enjoy every single episode of this series but episode eight was my least favorite but still enjoy it, I wanted to see more of the P-51 that's all, most people will find the drama of this episode boring but it does leave with a big cliff hanger of whats going to happen today Friday 15 on episode 9, on the intro we see P-51 attacking a camp so is it the camp where they had all the pilots? also Rossie trying to get up probably after jumping ship and landing in the middle of battle field and last there is a scene were Bucky is walking almost freezing, the expectation to whats going to happen for those at the camp is what's driving the series right now, all the air battle scenes are part of the first half of this mini series making it a well balance series, not full action but not boring neither.

After a trilogy that started very promisingly in 2018, fluctuated to an average level in 2021, and the very next year (in 2022) had a totally unbelievable bad ending, the feared and beloved Michael Myers will be evoked again in more a cinematographic project, but this time it won't be a film, but rather a project aimed at the small screen: an adaptation in the form of a television series (and I don't know how good that would be).

I'm a big fan of the first two original movies, but with very few exceptions, everything that came after in the cinematographic field of this saga disappointed me a lot (in particular, these last two most recent movies). Seeing a television series being planned should make me excited (considering the fact that the format of a narrative aimed at the small screen is completely different from the format of a narrative for the big screen), but I view it all with some suspicion. It seems to me to be just another way to make money and not honor a legacy.

According to Marc Helwig (who is the project's producer), the television series will be connected to the universe of the villain Michael Myers and his 13 movies made so far (and I really have no idea how such a complex connection will be made). A Halloween connected universe (would it be a kind of “horror metaverse”? ok, bad joke!) is expected, but I think everything will culminate in a big mess. Honestly, at this point I don't see anything working in this saga.

Although this project has no further details (such as director, cast or even a release date, even if it is just a prediction), this “creative restart” that is being developed worries me a lot because it is a legacy that has been disrespected by long years. John Carpenter's creation didn't deserve so many mistakes or so many inappropriate modifications for the sake of money, but unfortunately that's how cinema still works. The future of this television series makes me curious, but not anxious enough to want to see a project like this appear.

A criação de John Carpenter não merecia tantos erros e nem tantas modificações desajustadas em prol de dinheiro, mas infelizmente é assim que o cinema ainda funciona. O futuro dessa de série de televisão me deixa curioso, mas não ansioso a ponto de querer ver um projeto assim aparecer.

In the year 2022, the streaming service "Amazon Prime Video", premiered an original series based on the novels of the character of "Jack Reacher"; personally my knowledge about that character comes from the two movies starring Tom Cruise and of which I did not know the existence of more than 28 (for now) novels written by Jim Grant; being the first novel called "Killing Floor", influence for the first season and "Bad Luck and Trouble", eleventh novel, influence for what is its second and current season.

Antes de comenzar a dar mi opinión sobre la segunda temporada de esta serie, hablaré brevemente sobre la primera temporada; esta versión de "Reacher" es muy diferente a lo visto en los dos films, lo cuales si no me equivoco, son las primeras versiones live-action del personaje, pero regresando a la notoria diferencia entre las versiones, es referente a la estatura de los actores que interpretan a este personaje, principalmente Cruise, hace ver que "Jack" es alguien que puede pasar desapercibido y hasta no levantar sospecha, esto es todo lo contrario con el actor que interpreta a este personaje en la serie, el cual mide casi dos metros de altura y pesa mucho más que el famoso actor, esto es algo que me llamó la atención porque quería ver como se maneja ese cambio para un mismo personaje; para mi sorpresa y agrado, está versión encaja muy bien en el estilo de la serie, la cual en su primera temporada me hizo recordar a series de acción de los 80' y principio de los 90', la típica historia de un hombre que pareciera tener un talento para atraer y resolver problemas, un hombre con un pasado que lo convirtió en quien ahora es, pero pareciera no tener lazos con nada, ni con nadie, alguien correcto, justo, pero a la vez letal, peligro y así como aparece, también desaparece sin dejar rastros, ese es mi breve opinión de esta versión de "Reacher".

This second season premiered last December and ended in January of this year, I found it to be better than the previous one, the story flows in a good and appropriate use of comedy as well as action; both elements are very important for the development of the story and the characters because although Reacher is the main character, that does not prevent those who accompany him have moments of prominence, influencing the two main features described above. These eight episodes that make up the season feel more natural, have a fast pace, but not at all feels like a rushed story, I can say that there is no filler episodes and uses very well the assumption or suspicion necessary to maintain some intrigue in the investigation although it is very clear who are the villains and of course, who are the good guys.

La primera temporada fue (por supuesto) una historia de introducción del personaje y de quién lo interpreta, me refiero a la estatura y corpulencia porque es un elemento repetitivo en este serie y más en la segunda temporada, a eso sumo otra característica que relacioné más con lo que sucede en el primer film, eso es sus métodos o habilidades para investigar y para hacer justicia; aunque en ambas temporadas existe el factor de que los investigaciones afectan profundamente en lo personal lo cual influye mucho en los actos que deben realizar este personaje. En esta oportunidad, el viaje que realiza Reacher, se ve interrumpido cuando un excompañero de Unidad de Investigadores Especiales en su tiempo como militar ha muerto, pero no por causas naturales, eso hace que Reacher deba reunirse con "Neagley", su antigua compañera de la unidad y hagan una profunda investigación de lo ocurrido lo cual podrá relevar algo más turbio y peligroso no solo para ellos sino para el mundo.

Está segunda temporada se estrenó el pasado mes de diciembre y terminó en enero de Esteban año, me pareció que es mejor que la anterior, la historia fluye en un buen y adecuado uso de la comedia, así como la acción; ambos elementos son muy importante para el desarrollo de la historia y de los personajes porque a pesar de que Reacher es el personaje principal, eso no evita que quienes le acompañan tengan momentos de protagonismo, influyendo en las dos características principales antes descritas. Estos ocho episodios que conforman la temporada se sienten más natural, tienen un ritmo rápido, pero para nada se siente que sea una historia apresurada, puedo decir que no existe episodios de relleno y que usa muy bien la suposición o sospecha necesaria para mantener algo de intriga en la investigación aunque es muy claro quienes son los villanos y por supuesto, quienes son los buenos.

The performance of Alan Ritchson as "Jack Reacher" is much better in this season, not that it is something that will make him worthy of awards, or anything like that, but this time he looks more connected to the investigation than the previous one and I think it is because of the decision to give prominence to up to three more characters that accompanies Reacher in this season, It is precisely the connection between Richson together with Serinda Swan and Shaun Sipos as "Dixon" and "O'Donnell" who together with Maria Sten as "Neagley" form a good team, there is excellent chemistry between them and that makes the season fun and entertaining. Another actor who does a good job is Robert Patrick as "Langston", excellent villain, great character, funny and without the need to be exaggerated, very good decision in having this actor to be the counterpart of Reacher in this season.

La actuación de Alan Ritchson como "Jack Reacher" es mucho mejor en esta temporada, tampoco que es algo que le hará merecedor de premios, ni nada de eso, pero en esta oportunidad se ve más conectado a la investigación que la anterior y creo que es por la decisión de dar protagonismo de hasta tres personajes más que acompaña a Reacher en esta temporada, justamente es a conexión entre Richson junto a Serinda Swan y Shaun Sipos como "Dixon" y "O'Donnell" quienes junto a Maria Sten como "Neagley" forman un buen equipo, hay excelente química entre ellos y eso hace divertida y entretenida la temporada. Otro actor quien hace un buen trabajo es Robert Patrick como "Langston", excelente villano, gran personaje, divertido y sin necesidad de ser exagerado, muy buena decisión en contar con ese actor para ser la contraparte de Reacher en esta temporada.

Disfrute mucho de la segunda temporada de Reacher, es divertida, buenos diálogos, buen uso de la comedia, nuevamente tiene buenos personajes que tienen la oportunidad de tomar el liderazgo de la serie en ciertos episodios, buen casting y esto lo digo porque los actores elegidos hacen un buen trabajo toman el peso de ser villanos, cómicos, asunto amoroso, pero nuevamente repito, tiene oportunidad para desarrollar sus personajes, sus motivos y eso me agrada de esta serie; ahora, no la considero perfecta porque hay ciertos fallos como son el uso de un personaje que pareciera tener profundidad o más importancia en la historia y algo que me decepcionó en algunas escenas y fue las coreografías en las peleas, lo cual creo que depende del director de turno, pero también del desempeño del protagonista, el cual por su peso o corpulencia, resta movilidad y naturalidad a las escenas que pueden ser mejores; aparte de todo eso, está fue una gran temporada y sentí cierto alivio al saber que ya se está filmando una tercera que espero tenga un estreno muy pronto.

I was ask the other day why do I watch this TV series about war since there is nothing good about war. This is a fact although for now nobody can stop war and yes there is nothing good about it but what attract me to this type of series is the men and women who were brave enough to step up and pull all this amazing missions and still want more, in the case of Masters of The Air, Capt. Rosie, what that men accomplish is outstanding how he flew that bomber like it was a fighter jet, on episode 7 Rosie and his crew took their 25th mission earning their ticket back home. It was never easy for them not even with clear skies, this guys were going into massive altitude, wide open windows, risk of mechanical failures, on previous episodes I constantly ask myself why don't they have a fighter jet escort but this time they did, P-51 Mustang fighter jets in action, sadly the series is almost over with one more episode this Friday so we wont see much of those fighter jets in action.

It look like it was not all terrible for pilots once they got capture but the truth as we saw on episode six, it was bad, those that were lucky enough or fought until the end for their life like Buck did, were send to a camp, at this camp they had the very basics like water, energy, a very basic died but there were a lot of risks lick sickness or a German officer who wake up on their left foot and shoot at you. To stay inform they had a radio that some how got smuggle into the camp, Bucky was constantly on top of news and getting others inform.

This was not a summer camp, it was a prison, there is no other name for that so they were constantly getting raid by German Officers looking for illegal things or weapons, again its a prison, unfortunately during one of this raids a soldier found their radio and confiscate it. I don't know anyone who speaks German but why on movies German Soldiers repeat things like 10 times? The soldier who found the radio keep repeating the same words even after he already show his superiors what he found.

More missions to Germany means more casualties and their replacement were very young but at that point the base had Rosie, he was almost an idol among pilots, on top there were a couple of men who return from Europe thanks to the resistance, this gave the men hope that getting out of Europe and completing 25 missions was still possible although for Crossby there was not much hope for him to get back in the air but he was just too good of a navigator reason why he was the leader so he had to stay on the ground in an office.

Nothing was easy for this men either at base or at the camps that held them prisoner, they were all prisoners of the war going on, but there was always something to hold on, some never loose hope, obviously it was not the same for all of them but they always look for a way out. In the case of new pilots they had Rosie and the guys at the camps had men like Buck and Bucky always showing the way, at the end of the day it didn't matter much how good you were at base there was always that psychological barrier that made people think they were not going to make it out so they needed brave men to show them the way.

March 6, 1944 was declare Black Monday after an attempt attack to Berlin half of the bombers did not return, that's about 150 men lost in battle and the rest that got back were wounded and bombers heavily damage, it was the same route over and over, I guess when you are a foot soldier or in this case gun man or pilot one might think they want us all dead, its a cruel job but its a job and those who survive got the job done sadly that's how higher rank might think about their soldiers and when they are pushing to finish the job in this case invade Europe and take it back form the Germans, there was no men, pilot or soldier who was safe from going all in, men at base felt they didn't care if they all died but that's not entirely true, higher rank might not care for them particularly but do care to keep their troops alive to win the war, cant win a war if they are all dead.

On episode seven Bucky demonstrate some Macgyver skills, after their radio got taken away during the last raid he built, not sure how or if its possible; a radio out of scraps that they had laying around, Buck took the task to recollect what ever Bucky ask for but more than not having the skills to build the radio they were lacking patience, every failed attempt to having working end up in a conversation to either brake out and escape or remain there to survive or die from sickness, Buck was wild and he wanted to escape but on the other end Bucky still had hopes they could survive although was aware that there was certain truth on Buck reasons to escape.

Another mission to Berlin, Rosie is back after a few days off, his crew look nervous after their last attempt only half of the bombers came back, it would have been awesome to the P-51 fighters on more episodes, again there is nothing glorious about war but I can't imagine that many bombers and jet fighters in the air, look like there were hundreds from both sides, fighters destroying each others as bombers keep cruising to their targets, this was Rosie and his crew 25th mission earning their ticket back home letting those who just got in knew that it can be done but then you have to ask your self is he that good of a pilot or is he just lucky, well to come back from 25 missions during war, luck had nothing to do, Rosie or anyone else who did it was just that good, always in the edge, cool, calm, collected, always on the edge daring to do the impossible, in this case the impossible was 25 missions. After Rosie did his 25th mission, he and his crew were the last ones to reach that mark, higher rank though they had to raise the bar since they think the war is almost over so they need their men to push harder, this turn Rosie 25th mission party into sadness among other men in the base, he decided to stay and keep fighting.

In an effort to finish my recaps of Masters of The Air this weekend I have decided to post another episode recap and I'm going to do the same for tomorrow and Saturday, at least want to keep up with this series since I'm behind posting on other series I'm watching.
The only thing I'm sorry about is that this is a mini series, even though it only has nine episodes its very fulfilling, since its a narrated story it doesn't feel like it was rush, I can get how people might say some scenes feel cut off but its Crosby narrating a very long story so he did not had eyes everyone, he narrated what he went through its not a made up story by a studio, some scenes probably change to keep the audience interested though.
I did mention on previous recap that most likely there were not going to be that many air battles, I think the focus has shift more into what the prisoners of war went through and men at the base, far from their loves ones, countless days without sleep, going all in to invade Europe and try to end this madness.

MOVIE REVIEW: “The Whole Truth” (2016)

Synopsis: After being accused of committing a murder against his own father, a teenager begins to be defended by a lawyer, who gradually discovers that the boy's mother is hiding essential information so that the crime can be properly solved.

A crime never has just one side. There are always two (or more) versions of what really happened, and it is at this point that this movie's script precisely finds the reason for its existence. However, it does so in a very succinct way, focusing on a relatively complex plot, but which is executed through a narrative that is very quick in its projection, canceling out any major impacts on a plot that had everything to be much more interesting than in the truth can be. Either way, it's a good example for courtroom movies, albeit a predictable one.

Within an intricate plot with investigative elements being observed from different angles (which in this case are the versions of practically all the witnesses to the crime, whether directly or indirectly), the script uses its protagonist as a kind of narrator of the facts in question. many moments, creating an easier dialogue to try to create some type of empathy in the audience. Personally, I think this didn't work, because the movie relies on an exaggeratedly didactic approach to dealing with its conflicts, and delivers everything very well “explained”.

The problem is not exactly the perfect conclusion of the explanations, but how all of this reaches those on the other side of the screen. There is no effort to create a more elaborate thriller, with more challenging layers. There are only the contradictions of the witnesses involved within a crossed line that cannot hide its predictability. If you pay a little more attention to the events, you will unravel the main part of the mystery before the movie explains it to you, and I think that this break in the “surprise factor” nullifies much of the creative potential of this narrative.

Basically, it's a courtroom movie. Although there are external scenes, the script's effort is focused on trying to create a tense atmosphere of suspense within a single room, but it fails to build this environment because generally dry cuts dominate the screen and fail to create bridges between the characters. Furthermore, the court atmosphere fails to recreate this environment, which, as it is very superficial within the movie, ends up showing a lack of veracity to the facts. At times, it seems like they are all in a random room, just arguing.

Keanu Reeves plays a defense lawyer (who is definitely not on your list of most memorable characters due to the shallow level of his performance), who is lost in constructing his line of reasoning because the client he defends (played in a very limited way by Gabriel Basso) does not speak directly to anyone. Alongside him, Gugu Mbatha-Raw is treated as an irrelevant character, because she acts as a helper in the case, unravels a good part of it alone, but is “forgotten” by the script, while Renée Zellweger is dispensable.

No character has satisfactory development. Everything orbits between average and bad. The facts point to a more complete crime, and although the script tries to impact the public with elements that bring repulsion (and this includes physical violence), the false complexity that it feeds is not present in the conclusion of the facts, which, in fact, is only of notorious knowledge of the public in its last minutes. Excessive speed in executing the script to try to explain the great mystery ends up being a precarious device that only serves to avoid leaving loose ends.

In its technical aspect, what caught my most attention (in a negative way) were the scene edits. It's been a long time since I watched a movie that was so uninteresting in this aspect. A lazy montage, full of conveniences that clearly highlight some of the script's problems. Even so, there are still some good moments where the atmosphere of tension manages to involve the viewer. Far from having a perfect script, it is necessary to recognize that its base construction has a very interesting essence regarding the use of the court in the plot.

Empire

No, not everything in The Whole Truth is disposable. Moments mixed with uncertainty exist, and at times they confuse the public. Perhaps because it is a little less than 90 minutes, its development may have been hampered, so, with extra time, more complicating elements and much better work on the part of director Courtney Hunt, this movie would have been something more interesting to watch. Either way, this movie still deserves to be seen by viewers who like this type of narrative because there are very honest things in it.

Un crimen nunca tiene un solo lado. Siempre hay dos (o más) versiones de lo que realmente sucedió, y es en este punto donde precisamente el guión de esta película encuentra la razón de su existencia. Sin embargo, lo hace de forma muy sucinta, centrándose en una trama relativamente compleja, pero que se ejecuta a través de una narración muy rápida en su proyección, anulando cualquier impacto importante en una trama que tenía todo para ser mucho más interesante que la anterior. en la verdad puede ser. Um crime nunca tem apenas um lado. Sempre há duas (ou mais) versões sobre o que realmente aconteceu, e é neste ponto que o roteiro deste filme precisamente encontra à razão da sua existência. No entanto, o faz de maneira bastante sucinta, apostando em uma trama relativamente complexa, mas que é executada através de uma narrativa que é muito rápida na sua projeção, anulando maiores impactos sobre uma trama que tinha tudo para ser muito mais interessante do que na verdade consegue ser. De qualquer modo, é um bom exemplo para filmes sobre tribunais, embora previsível.

Há apenas as contradições das testemunhas envolvidas dentro de uma linha cruzada que não consegue esconder sua previsibilidade. Se você prestar um pouco mais de atenção aos acontecimentos, irá desvendar a principal parte do mistério antes que o filme te explique isso, e eu acho que essa quebra do “fator surpresa” anula muito do potencial criativo desta narrativa.

Basicamente, é um filme de tribunal. Apesar de haver cenas externas, o esforço do roteiro se concentra em tentar criar um clima de suspense tenso entre uma única sala, mas falha em construir esta ambientação porque geralmente cortes secos dominam a tela e não conseguem criar pontes entre os personagens. Além disso, a atmosfera de tribunal é falha no sentido de recriar este ambiente, que por ser muito superficial dentro do filme, acaba transparecendo uma falta de veracidade aos fatos. Em alguns momentos, parece que todos eles estão em uma sala qualquer, apenas argumentando.

Keanu Reeves interpreta um advogado de defesa (que definitivamente não faz parte da sua lista de personagens mais memoráveis devido ao nível raso de sua atuação), que está perdido na construção da sua linha de raciocínio porque o cliente que ele defende (interpretado de maneira limitadíssima por Gabriel Basso) não fala diretamente com ninguém. Ao lado dele, Gugu Mbatha-Raw é tratada como uma personagem irrelevante, porque ela atua como uma ajudante no caso, desvenda uma boa parte dele sozinha, mas é “esquecida” pelo roteiro, enquanto a Renée Zellweger é dispensável.

Nenhum personagem tem um desenvolvimento satisfatório. Tudo orbita entre o mediano e o ruim. Os fatos apontam para um crime mais completo, e apesar do roteiro tentar impactar o público com elementos que trazem repulsa (e isso inclui violência física), a falsa complexidade que ele alimenta não está presente na conclusão dos fatos, que aliás, só é de conhecimento notório do público em seus últimos minutos. O excesso de velocidade na execução do roteiro para tentar explicar o grande mistério acaba sendo um artifício precário e que serve apenas para não deixar as pontas soltas.

No seu aspecto técnico, o que me chamou mais atenção (de maneira negativa) foram as edições de cenas. Já fazia um bom tempo em que eu não assistia a um filme tão desinteressante neste aspecto. Uma montagem preguiçosa, e repleta de conveniências que evidenciam de forma contundente alguns problemas do roteiro. Mesmo assim, ainda há alguns bons momentos onde o clima de tensão consegue envolver o telespectador. Muito longe de ter um roteiro perfeito, é preciso reconhecer que à construção base dele tem uma essência muito interessante sobre o uso do tribunal na trama.

Não, nem tudo em Versões de um Crime é descartável. Os momentos mesclados com incerteza existem, e em alguns momentos confundem o público. Talvez por ter um pouco menos de 90 minutos, o seu desenvolvimento possa ter sido prejudicado, então, com um tempo extra, mais elementos complicadores e um trabalho muito mais acertado por parte da diretora Courtney Hunt, este filme fosse algo mais interessante de ser assistido. De qualquer maneira, este filme ainda merece ser visto pelos telespectadores que gostam deste tipo de narrativa porque há coisas bem honestas nele.
