Sometimes I wonder if many years ago movies were failure after failure, may be now days with the existence of this much technology where we can verify things instantly we have become more aware of things, in instance separate facts from fiction and on the movie Napoleon there are a few things that just by looking up on internet you will find inaccurate but I'm not writing this article to note them since I'm no expert or historian but again all it takes is ask the right questions to your favorite search engine or now days your favorite AI chat bot and some things will start to sound vague on the movie. It is for this reason that since the trailer came out many were expecting the movie to be "bad" although from the point of view of any regular viewer who knows nothing about Napoleon and have not seen the trailer I would tell you that person will most likely find the movie entertaining, probably a bit boring during the times it was all about Napoleon and his wife Josephine but still entertaining and some times fun drama to follow.

Many consider Napoleon as a Biopic, a film that dramatize the life of a real, non-fictional individual; by definition it covers a real person and the real events of this person so there is not much room to work with changes, things have to stick but then why isn't it a documentary? , truth is if we start to put all the dots on the I, we might never finish and I see very hard that you could fit Napoleon life into a single movie, no matter how people try it might not be possible to satisfy the audience, its a very hard task to accomplish and very few productions with the right combination of director, writer, actors, etc can pull this off, sometimes we expect too much from movies, this is the reason why I have move more into TV series because you have way more time to develop a story except with Disney and Marvel who keep doing mini series with time been its worst problem.

The movie starts with a hard scene where I assume they decapitate Maria Antoinette, there are similar situations during the movie where extreme actions are taking, now days to decapitate someone under law I think would be almost impossible with all the human rights flying around but essentially its like trying to eradicate some one genes out of earth existence, this is one of the many scenes criticize because it is suppose that Napoleon was not there at the moment, I really don't care about online ratings when I'm about to watch a movie or TV series since I take my own decisions about it, I don't let others make decisions or opinions for me, when the movie started I said "oh yeah bloody mess...like it" I was expecting some savage scenes during war times, but it fall short.

Napoleon was rising fast as a great strategist, he was called to give his opinion and latter on lead the way into the Siege of Toulon helped politically by Paul Barras, on the movie this was Napoleon first victory what had a big impact on his carrier, since the movie is not 100% accurate and it has been called out many times I will refer to scenes on the same terms "on the movie" trying to keep the historian-trolls away on their caves.

After the Toulon victory Napoleon Bonaparte was award the rank of General so now he is a big shot and as such starts to behave this way, a proud soldier now General, I do not know if it was a military tradition but he would always wear his uniform during the movie, every day he was dress very similar on the other hand there were others who change from time to time, I think this was part of the Napoleonish attitude and that's exactly how on the movie its mention how he met Josephine, the guy was staring at her and when ask what you wearing he answers back "this is my uniform" after mention how he won the The Siege of Toulon, during that mission it look like he was about to shit himself, this scene makes me think he was not dress appropriate for the occasion but he is a proud soldier just promoted and will show it to the world, after all it seems that at the time that's all he had, his proud and honor as a French soldier.

There is not much context about how Josephine's son got to ask Napoleon for his father Saber, Josephine had a son and daughter before getting married to Napoleon. After he understood who the kid was decided to take what ever Saber from an armory and bring it to her home, here their love encounters start but I wonder if the scene where she fully throws at him opening her legs and tell him to look that really happen, a slut move if you ask me and she is trying to secure something for her and her kids. Remember I'm just a regular viewer who don't know much about French history this also makes me wonder what was the "Reign of Terror" since she was told during that time that her only way to survive was to get pregnant may be because a man would provide for her and who would best fit than General Napoleon Bonaparte.

Eventually Napoleon and Josephine gets married, for some this is the boring part of the movie but let me tell you it does get interesting because it becomes a big part of Napoleon during the movie, when Napoleon goes to Egypt, the first thing she does was to get a lover and would not hide him at all, almost everyone knew it, it was all over the papers and Napoleon was the only fool who didn't know, according to the movie, but it seems there was a reason and your boy Napoleon was show as a failed in sex, every time there was a sex scene between both Josephine always look bored and not satisfied and for the few seconds that she was shown with her lover she looked different, little more spiced up.

To cut the three from its roots, lets shop the Napoleon Josephine failed marriage, same as the failed scene from the Egypt battle both suck, I was expecting a big battle considering they move an entire army from France to Egypt with a couple of thousands miles between each and all they talk about was how Napoleon was missing Josephine and she never answer back, why? because she was fucking another guy at home while Napoleon was directing an army thousands miles away, until he was told about it and went back home as soon as possible to find out it was true she was cheating on him, they stay together until Napoleon became Emperor, not King that's different; Josephine couldn't get pregnant by Napoleon and seems the problem was her after they test him with a virgin 18 year old who got his bastard son, Napoleon and Josephine were force to divorce, the reason I took this route is because I find Josephine an interruption during the rest of the movie.

Austria and Russia join force during the period Napoleon rise to political power so he had to go to war, he was still with Josephine during this time so you will listen to him constantly wining about war and been far from her, the part where I think some people will find Napoleon as a simp, from all the Napoleonic Wars the one at Austerlitz was a master piece, if only all war scenes were like this one could probably be a better movie, he let the enemy find out about his camp when in secret he got all flanks taken the moment they enter their camp let them get a bit of advantage to send reinforcements so when they felt overwhelm push them towards a frozen lake and shoot the canons to brake the ice and let the frozen lake falling apart swallow the entire army, this was a moment of glory that makes him walk like he was twenty feet tall so close to the son and Zeus, this is when he got cocky as fuck.

During the battle of Austerlitz he mention during the movie that he should have taken both armies as prisoners and he didn't as an act of good faith, he did that because he felt superior end of the story. Latter on a love and hate story begins between France and Russia but Napoleon probably because of this cocky attitude end up been enemies with Tsar Alexander who already hate him enough for loosing at Austerlitz, Napoleon was loosing men like he was leverage trading crypto, even with the support of Austria since he was married to Marie Louis an Austrian Archduchess, for this he was taken away from his arm and the rank of General, France send him to exile on an island but eventually came back and took his fifth army for the last time, soldiers were still local to him, I would find this possible since it was different during those times, all men had was their word and winning so many battles next to Napoleon was a big deal. Napoleon and Duke Welington hate each other so much that they were finally going to war on land, Welington knew he can't win but now has the support of Russia, he almost loose this battle if it was not for the Russian army who got in time.

Napoleon was once again exile to an island but this time he had no army to claim back and it was France, Russian and England against him so his days of General were over, he lost badly the battle of Waterpool against the Russians and English, this probably totally destroy his army and he ran away from the battle field, its funny how on the movie on the last battle he specially refers to him a "Your Emperor" and reminds his soldiers that they are the "Brave of Austerlitz".

After everything he went through Napoleon was so lucky he was not killed, he went from been a regular soldier to Emperor of a Nation, this is the kind of story that doesn't matter how hard you try it wont fit into a movie but I do agree that you can't be changing historic events accuracy, its different when you produce a game or anime adaptation to a movie that you literally take history that has been written and study for many years specially some one like Napoleon who left so much written content behind because keep in mind that besides his letters to books written about him after all he became emperor so I'm sure during that time historians had to have records about his decisions, sign papers, etc, etc.

Now lets talk about Napoleon (2023) as a movie that you went to watch and know nothing about him or the movie, was it bad? the short answer is NO, reason is because actors in my opinion did a great job, people are mad because they were let down by the inaccuracy and how much the director shows about Napoleon love live with Josephine but even that aspect of the movie was very interesting, when Napoleon had his first son in the movie he brought him to Josephine not to show off but because that was suppose to be their son, the son they never had, they love each other but had responsibilities to their country, an heir was one of them.

That's the problem with this kind of posts, take me a good amount of time to put everything together and I cant stop writing about the entire story so I had to shop it into pieces, this time I try to make the images less complex because I still try to narrate my post through images.

In practically all of its editions, the Oscars ceremony ends up fomenting some type of “controversy”. This year, the highlight is two specific names: Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie. A large part of the public points to academy voters as “sexist” just for having “snubbed” Gerwig and Robbie in the Best Director and Best Actress categories. Ryan Gosling's nomination for Best Supporting Actor reinforces this absurd and idiotic theory.

Let's get to the facts. Barbie was a huge global success, surpassing the US$1 billion mark and became a critical success (both specialized and popular). Honestly, how this happened I don't know, because if the doll featured in the movie had been anything other than Mattel's own creation, the movie wouldn't have gained the attention of critics and the public, and it wouldn't have made as much money either. However, despite the good idea, the movie is common.

Yes, common. Despite touching on very interesting points (especially for modern society), the truth is that the script does not go into any depth about the themes it brings to the screen (it just flirts with the potential and relevance of the central theme). The fact that Gerwig directed the movie and made it a huge success is admirable, but that does not justify the fact that she must receive an Oscars nomination in the Best Director category.

The same goes for Robbie, because part of the movie's success is due to what she managed to do, but considering such an average performance to compete for the Oscar for Best Actress seems like a bit of fanaticism to try to raise a social agenda that doesn't exist. It's just the fact that there are other actresses with much better work than what she did in the same year. The equation is simple, there are no complications (except for those who don't want to see).

Finally, it is important to highlight that Barbie received no less than 8 Oscars nominations, so it is impossible to say that this movie is being “boycotted” or “snubbed” by the academy, which, in fact, never was, is not and will never always be. assertive in its indications, but creating an agenda around something that doesn't exist to harm the party's image seems to me just an explosion of immaturity from the social bubble that feeds retrograde ideas that have no reason to exist.

Lo mismo ocurre con Robbie, porque parte del éxito de la película se debe a lo que logró hacer, pero considerar una actuación tan promedio para competir por el Oscar a la Mejor Actriz parece un poco de fanatismo para intentar levantar una agenda social que no No existe. Es solo el hecho de que hay otras actrices con un trabajo mucho mejor que el que ella hizo en el mismo año. La ecuación es sencilla, no hay complicaciones (salvo para los que no quieren ver).

Sinceramente, como isto aconteceu eu não sei, porque se a boneca apresentada no filme fosse qualquer outra se não a própria criação da Mattel, o filme não teria ganho à atenção dos críticos e do público, e também não teria ganho tanto dinheiro. No entanto, apesar da boa ideia, o filme é comum.

Sim, comum. Apesar de tocar em pontos muito interessantes (em especial para a sociedade moderna), a verdade é que o roteiro não faz nenhum aprofundamento sobre os temas que traz para as telas (apenas flerta com o potencial e com a relevância do tema central). O fato da Gerwig ter dirigido o filme e ter feito dele um grande sucesso é admirável, mas isso não justifica o fato dela obrigatoriamente ter que receber indicação ao Oscar na categoria de Melhor Direção.

O mesmo vale para Robbie, porque uma parte do sucesso do filme se deve ao que ela conseguiu fazer, mas considerar uma performance tão mediana para concorrer ao Oscar de Melhor Atriz me parece um pouco de fanatismo para tentar levantar uma pauta social que não existe. Se trata apenas do fato de haver outras atrizes com trabalhos bem superiores ao que ela fez no mesmo ano. A equação é simples, não há complicações (a não ser o fato de quem não quer enxergar).

You might wake up one day and feel like watching the world go up in flames. It happens to me all too often. Today was one of those days when a pent-up inner rage felt like coming to the surface. I stayed as far away from social media as I could and didn't even plan to post anything. I try to isolate myself at home when I'm like this, to avoid things happening to me like the characters in the award-winning miniseries Beef.

It is one of the big winners of this awards season. Best miniseries , best actor, best actress , best direction and other awards have piled up. Many ignored it. Some didn't even pay attention to it. Even I put off watching it until it was unavoidable. All the awards it has received are well deserved. Although in the middle (there are ten episodes) it loses steam, it is a miniseries that will leave no one indifferent.

The plot is very simple but powerful. The trailer makes it clear from the beginning. Two people who are having a bad day or unpleasant moments, have an unfortunate encounter and bugle call in their vehicles. This most common inconvenience for everyone, will lead to a series of unfortunate events, where each will seek revenge on the other. Bringing out the ugliest side of these two characters, will they stop? How far will they be able to go? Will they be able to control their anger? Will they break the limits?

Puede que un día te levantes con ganas de ver el mundo en llamas. A mí me pasa muy a menudo. Hoy era uno de esos días en los que una rabia interior acumulada tenía ganas de salir a la superficie. Me alejé todo lo que pude de las redes sociales e incluso no pensaba publicar nada. Intento aislarme en casa cuando estoy así, para evitar que me pasen cosas como a los personajes de la premiada miniserie Beef.

Es una de las grandes triunfadoras de esta temporada de premios. Mejor miniserie , mejor actor, mejor actriz , mejor dirección y otros premios se han acumulado. Muchos la ignoraron. Algunos ni siquiera le prestaron atención. Incluso yo pospuse verla hasta que fue inevitable. Todos los premios que ha recibido son bien merecidos. Aunque a mitad (son diez episodios) pierde fuerza, es una miniserie que no dejará indiferente a nadie.

La trama es muy sencilla pero potente. El tráiler lo deja claro desde el principio. Dos personas que están pasando un mal día o momentos desagradables, tienen un desafortunado encuentro y toque de corneta en sus vehículos. Este inconveniente de lo más común para todos, desembocará en una serie de acontecimientos desafortunados, donde cada uno buscará vengarse del otro. Sacando el lado más feo de estos dos personajes, ¿se detendrán? ¿Hasta dónde serán capaces de llegar? ¿Podrán controlar su ira? ¿Romperán los límites?

How many times has someone honked their horn at you? How many times have you gotten angry at another driver and started swearing at them? Who hasn't pulled or had their finger pulled while driving? Driving in big cities is a bit stressful and it seems to make us angry. Many times I have cussed and other times I have been cussed at while driving. I have also seen cases of people who have ended up in a violent way after an altercation behind the wheel. It happens a lot.

The creator of the miniseries, Lee Sung Jin, and his team know how to make this gem of a story shine. Starting from a basic incident, they spin a narrative that delves into each of the characters, very human, with virtues, but mostly with flaws. It features a pair of lead actors who seem to have mutated, completely transforming themselves into these two empty souls.

Because it should be noted is the construction of the two main characters. Danny, a young Asian who used to work in construction or any maintenance work. He is frustrated by bad times in the economy, little work and also because of some mistakes in the past, his parents had to leave the country. He just wants to give them the land to build them a house. He lives with his younger brother, whom he controls and manipulates. Danny is determined to succeed by being a loser and may have to break some laws and cheat. Amy is an entrepreneur. She has a startup about to be acquired for a large sum of money. It is for her very happy, but the stress of these negotiations and a marital routine that has her bored, have made her repress all her anger, traumas and misfortunes. These two will have the misfortune to meet at the wrong time and prepare for the beginning of an endless war.

¿Cuántas veces te ha tocado alguien el claxon? ¿Cuántas veces te has enfadado con otro conductor y has empezado a insultarle? ¿Quién no ha sacado o le han sacado el dedo mientras conducía? Conducir en las grandes ciudades es un poco estresante y parece que eso hace que nos enfademos. Muchas veces he insultado y otras veces me han insultado mientras conducía. También he visto casos de personas que han acabado de forma violenta tras un altercado al volante. Ocurre a menudo.

El creador de la miniserie, Lee Sung Jin, y su equipo saben cómo hacer brillar esta joya de historia. Partiendo de un incidente básico, hilan una narración que profundiza en cada uno de los personajes, muy humanos, con virtudes, pero sobre todo con defectos. Cuenta con una pareja de actores protagonistas que parecen haber mutado, transformándose por completo en estas dos almas vacías.

Porque hay que destacar es la construcción de los dos personajes principales. Danny, un joven asiático que trabajaba en la construcción o en cualquier trabajo de mantenimiento. Está frustrado por los malos tiempos en la economía, poco trabajo y también por algunos errores en el pasado, sus padres tuvieron que abandonar el país. Sólo quiere darles el terreno para construirles una casa. Vive con su hermano pequeño, al que controla y manipula. Danny está decidido a triunfar siendo un perdedor y puede que tenga que infringir algunas leyes y hacer trampas. Amy es empresaria. Tiene una startup a punto de ser adquirida por una gran suma de dinero. Es para ella muy feliz, pero el estrés de estas negociaciones y una rutina matrimonial que la tiene aburrida, han hecho que reprima toda su rabia, traumas y desgracias. Estos dos tendrán la desgracia de encontrarse en el momento equivocado y prepararse para el comienzo de una guerra sin fin.

It all started in 1993, when Steven Spielberg introduced the world to his version of the Jurassic era in modern times through the iconic movie Jurassic Park. Since then, another five movies have been released and even though absolutely none of the other movies achieved the projection or importance of the original material, it is true to say that the sequels introduced new elements, which guaranteed its continuity for many years.

After the last movie released, I honestly thought that the Jurassic franchise would have come to an end, however, considering the fact that we are talking about a Hollywood saga, it was only a matter of time and money until the next sequel was announced (which actually happened). As a fan of this franchise (this universe is one of my favorites in world cinema), I am very happy, but at the same time, very worried.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new movie is in an advanced stage of production (with a possible release sometime in 2025), and who is in charge of the script is none other than David Koepp, who is the screenwriter of the first movie (a great sign). In a more current scenario, I think it will be very interesting to see what Koepp will be able to implement new ideas with old historical concepts and rudimentary elements.

Without having any defined director (at least at this point), the duo responsible for producing Jurassic World (Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley) are in charge of also producing the project, and through Amblin Entertainment, Steven Spielberg will be the executive producer. My dream would be to see Spielberg return to direct this new project, but I don't think that will ever happen, however, it's always great to see him involved in these movies.

El regreso de los dinosaurios.

Todo comenzó en 1993, cuando Steven Spielberg presentó al mundo su versión de la era Jurásica en los tiempos modernos a través de la icónica película Jurassic Park. Desde entonces se han estrenado otras cinco películas y si bien absolutamente ninguna de las otras logró la proyección o importancia del material original, sí es cierto que las secuelas introdujeron nuevos elementos, lo que garantizó su continuidad durante muchos años.

Después del estreno de la última película, honestamente pensé que la franquicia Jurassic habría llegado a su fin, sin embargo, considerando que estamos hablando de una saga de Hollywood, era solo cuestión de tiempo y dinero hasta que se anunciara la próxima secuela (lo que realmente sucedió). Como fanático de esta franquicia (este universo es uno de mis favoritos en el cine mundial), estoy muy feliz, pero a la vez muy preocupado.

Según The Hollywood Reporter, una nueva película se encuentra en una etapa avanzada de producción (con un posible estreno en algún momento de 2025), y quien se encarga del guion no es otro que David Koepp, quien es el guionista de la primera película (una gran señal). O retorno dos dinossauros.

Tudo começou em 1993, quando Steven Spielberg apresentou ao mundo à sua versão da era jurássica em tempos modernos através do icônico filme Jurassic Park. Depois do último filme lançado, eu sinceramente achei que à franquia jurássica teria chegado ao seu final, no entanto, considerando o fato de que nós estamos falando sobre uma saga hollywoodiana, era apenas uma questão de tempo e dinheiro até que uma próxima sequência fosse anunciada (o que de fato aconteceu). Enquanto fã desta franquia (este universo é um dos meus favoritos no cinema mundial), eu estou muito feliz, mas ao mesmo tempo, muito preocupado.

De acordo com o The Hollywood Reporter, um novo filme está em estágio avançado de produção (com um possível lançamento em algum período de 2025), e quem está a frente do roteiro é ninguém menos do que o David Koepp, que é o roteirista do primeiro filme (um ótimo sinal). Em um cenário mais atual, eu acho que será muito interessante ver o que Koepp conseguirá implementar dentro de novas ideias com conceitos históricos antigos e elementos rudimentares.

It is the last episode of the series and to be honest it was not so bad at all, sometimes we tend to exaggerate things without remembering there were worst, ECHO was better than Secret Invasion not by a ton but better, it also has to do with the characters, on ECHO you got Maya and Kingpin who before never had that much screen time so we didn't know what to expect but both actors did very well in my opinion, I never felt like they didn't know what they were doing or over exaggerating their acting, Kingpin was always as he should be, aggressive, smooth, intelligent and care a lot for Maya. Maya she is just a badass doing what ever and when ever she wants, looking for trouble on demand.

When I go through the different episodes I come to the conclusion that it was mostly secondary characters who lack depending on their role, mostly the bad guys like Zane and Vickie's gang, they really suck at their role, felt annoy by them but lucky that's only one episode besides that the rest was OK, probably if the series had like three more episodes and production could use that time to provide more context about the series then it would definitely be a solid 7 series instead of a weak low seven and that's just because episode four gave it a lot of context that was missing because the ending as you will see is not that solid.

Maya's mom Taloa was the next in succession of the Choctaw powers, talking about powers its not one single thing that they can do, every warrior reborn because that's how it looks things work, every certain generations the powers of the Choctaw Warrior are pass on to the next on the line and each develops a different gift some have super strength like Chafa who hold the cave to save their people, others strategies like Lowak, others gunners like Tuklo and comes Maya's mom Taloa who was healer, she could heal living things like she is healing the bird that Maya shoot down. Maya seems to be the first who could harness all those powers at will and even transfer them to others, the concept is really cool and does feels like the kind of powers that would come from many years of tradition of a native culture and not by a chemical accident or some sort of tech like a vaccine or a suit that gives you the powers.

On episode four Maya decides to get out of Tamaha and left Kingpin hanging after she didn't go back with him to New York but now he is angry about it and is looking ways to force her do as he wants, probably as Henry told Vickie and Maya, Kingping and his people will never let you go with your way; those who work for him always do what he wants or then he kills them so Kingpin is back in town taking Chula and Bonnie as hostages he also sends Zane to the Choctaw Nation event with reinforcement to shoot everyone on the event because even though he had hostages, at the moment he was dealing with Maya, Zane was about to launch a rocket to the stage and kill a bunch of locals so it was planned, he was not going to reason with Maya anymore, the plan was to kill everyone at the event and force Maya into working with him by showing her how much damage he could cause if he wanted to.

After everything that has been happening with her visions and what Chula told her Maya has been putting more attention into it, she stop at a cafe to have some lunch and got a few messages from Biscuits asking for Chula and Bonnie that never show up at the event she then sees the same red head bird who warn Choctaw about danger so she understood it was not a coincidence and start paying attention to the sings of her powers, if we ever had a much longer series about ECHO this is the kind of things we would see, Maya paying attention to nature and her environment the type of powers, gifts I don't really know what to call it, skills? that someone connected to nature would have.

Pointing guns and not using them can turn to be annoying specially on a TV series like this one, Maya loves getting her gun out but never end up using it. She goes back to Tamaha after she got Biscuits text messages looking for Chula at her place but she was not their, instead she found her mother, probably a vision that talk to her, Taloa was there to help Maya and make her pain go away, since little Maya always thought it was her fault Taloa died, as a healer Taloa use her powers to help Maya get over that feeling and move on, she also confirm Chula theory that Maya has been chosen to be a Choctaw Warrior, all she has to do is embrace it and call for the help of their ancestors who will answer back when its needed, this makes me think that probably this is not a power that you can turn on and off like other super heroes does to their advantage.

The event starts and Maya is their with her people, she looks really nice on her new suit that Chula did for her, does give that vibes of a warrior and they do put up a show. If we start to think about what are Maya's power I guess knowing or feeling where is the danger can be one of them? like intuition? reason I mention this is because why and how she knew where to look for? she goes into a barn and there was Kingpin with some goons who had Chula and Bonnie, probably for the fifth time on the series Maya points a gun at Kingpin and doesn't use it (palm face)

This part I'm going to heavily resume but comment on the details because this is the action part, I don't want to spoil it in any way. Maya confronts Kingpin and straight up told him he betray her first by killing his father and on top of that not telling her the truth for all those years she was working for him. Zane who was going to shoot a rocket at the event had it inside a cooler with ice, I'm not a gun expert but does it work if its cold? usually guns are hard to explode or work under water and in cold weather from what I have read online unless they are design to work under that type of condition. After her talk with Taloa, Maya now is willing to harness her ancestors powers and thats what she does, here we see how she use her powers to free Bonnie and Chula giving them her strength too, some sort of transfer method or "echoing"? sad part is that you can tell Bonnie, Chula and Kingpin goons didn't fit on the scene, their acting was bad and it was hilarious watching Chula throwing guys over the roof it was like out of a cartoon made me laugh, when Kingpin saw himself alone he tried to attack Maya who shock him with her healing powers and that puts him on his knees while she finish the job getting into his mind and help him heal and get rid of all that anger he had inside, in the end he probably was about to cry I think asking her "what did you just do?" after he probably felt better and let go all the anger.

I'm not going to continue beating the drum of lack of context but the series does lack on that aspect, episode four did save a sinking ship and the ending was better say than Secret Invasion so its not a bad mini series is just that when ever you are getting to watch this type of mini series about super heroes you must know that it is very likely that the story will be rush and crunch into a couple of episodes, why do they still go for it? I don't know because to be honest makes no sense unless the numbers are still good, I mention before we as adults pay too much attention to all the details and probably someone younger does enjoy it fully those are numbers I don't have and could be the reason why they keep doing this mini series super hero theme. ECHO does make sense from the first episode to the end, you have this young women with great fighting skills who starts to have visions and harness power she doesn't understand until through episodes she start to get some answers to her questions of why and how she is experiencing and discovering all this abilities, until the end of the series she finally gets it and use her powers, she also gets over some feelings that was not letting her move forward like guilt for her mothers death and anger against part of her family who was not there for her when her father died and she was left alone in New York been miss guided by her gangster uncle, in short answer the series does make sense its just that its not at the level of production of other super hero series say like Moonknight. Over all a OK 7/10

The context is interesting and brings a “claustrophobic” element to the imminent danger, but the execution of the idea translates into chaos.

Isolated, the subplots could even work better, but when all the characters are sharing this same scenario (and their respective stories), there is no agreement in terms of narrative. Me parece que hay una guía preformada para dirigir los acontecimientos de las películas, que, dentro de un concepto textual de mal uso, acaba entregando tramas extremadamente genéricas. Sin embargo, esta vez las cosas son mucho peores.

Vuelven los cuatro nombres más populares dentro de la franquicia de juegos. Todo en esta misma película. Jill Valentine en la ciudad de San Francisco (y allí investiga una variante del virus T y otra epidemia de zombis), Claire Redfield espera encontrar una criatura misteriosa que está matando ballenas en el Área de la bahía, Leon Kennedy está buscando de un científico que fue secuestrado y trabaja para la organización DARPA, mientras Chris Redfield trabaja junto a Rebecca Chambers en algunas pistas que los conectarán a todos con un solo lugar: la famosa prisión de Alcatraz.

Me parece que existe uma cartilha pré-moldada para direcionar os acontecimentos dos filmes, que dentro de um conceito textual de pobre aproveitamento, acaba entregando tramas extremamente genéricas. No entanto, desta vez, a coisa é muito pior.

Algo, que como bien sabemos, solo vemos en las películas o series, muchos desconfiamos de estos uniformados, pues la reputación que se han ganado, por lo menos en mi país, no es muy buena, se supone que uno al mirar uno de ellos en la calle, debe sentirse protegido, seguro; sin embargo, aquí es todo lo contrario, más bien nos asustamos, pensamos, con tal no nos vengan a quitar nuestro dinero, que locura verdad, pero sí, esta es nuestra triste realidad.

But that’s not all; Bathurst has left his mark on diverse projects, from “Black Mirror” to “His Dark Materials,” showcasing his ability to create immersive worlds and bring characters to life. With its first episode release on March 24, 2022 its close to two years without season two a very unusual amount of time for this type of production but certainly there were some delays, after the pandemic there were still some lines of business that were not fully operational and took time to restart and on top there was the Hollywood Strike of 2023 that affected many other productions but Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish confirmed that the production was completed before the Hollywood strikes, ensuring a smooth path to release, it still uncertain to fans why this took so long if it was the case that filming was done before the Strike but keep in mind that many other workers around the industry including production, writers, actors were involve so having all filming done but not enough man power to edit and smooth things out still leaves you with a bunch of nothing ready to release, season two was pushed from September 2023 to February 2024.

Based on the trailer season 02 seem to be loaded with action, all this war scenes when now wont only be Spartans going to the limit but we will also see the marines with them, there are scenes where the Covenant has finally got into their base creating a fist over fist fight all this surrounded by the drama of Master Chief childhood that was a lie after he was involve not by choice into the Spartan program, most likely a very similar scenario to the other Spartans who on season 01 started to experiment with their feelings as they remove the device that was stopping them to be so human once again. Even if its close enough to the real story line of the games or not Halo Season 02 is worth watching if you are into action theme TV series.

I already expressed my admiration for this Italian star when I did my post about the movie Explota Explota , a musical and romantic comedy made in Spain, inspired by Raffaella's greatest musical hits. When I stumbled upon this documentary miniseries directed by Luchetti a few days ago, I watched the episodes quickly.

Even though this Italian diva was from my parents' time, since I was a child I liked to listen to old music. Raffaella would have been almost fifty years old when I saw a TV show in which she performed. I was very young but I was already attracted to the feminine beauty. Her suggestive costumes, her dancing and the rhythm of the song caught my attention and as a teenager I would look for her songs in the places where they sold compilations of old music.

To a young person today, his songs would seem very innocent, with a catchy beat in keeping with the old days. But that's the thing to keep in mind. The time when Raffaella emerged, where there was a lot of modesty. Her clothes, beauty, movements, choreography and lyrics were too provocative for what the public was used to.

Ya expresé mi admiración por esta estrella italiana cuando hice mi post sobre la película Explota Explota , una comedia musical y romántica hecha en España, inspirada en los grandes éxitos musicales de Raffaella. Cuando hace unos días me topé con esta miniserie documental dirigida por Luchetti, vi los episodios rápidamente.

Aunque esta diva italiana era de la época de mis padres, desde niño me gustaba escuchar música antigua. Raffaella tendría casi cincuenta años cuando vi un programa de televisión en el que actuaba. Yo era muy pequeño pero ya sentía atracción por la belleza femenina Sus trajes sugerentes, su baile y el ritmo de la canción me llamaron la atención y ya de adolescente buscaba sus canciones en los lugares donde vendían recopilaciones de música antigua.

Para un joven de hoy, sus canciones le parecerán muy inocentes, con un ritmo pegadizo acorde con los viejos tiempos. Pero eso es lo que hay que tener en cuenta. La época en que surgió Raffaella, donde había mucho pudor. Su vestimenta, belleza, movimientos, coreografias y letras eran muy provocativas para lo que el publico estaba acostumbrado.

Sometimes they idolize them in an unhealthy way, as if they were superior beings, forgetting that they are flesh and blood, like everyone else, with virtues and flaws. With successes and failures, with lights and shadows. The documentary miniseries does not deal with any lurid subject. It is clearly made from an admiring point of view.

La Carra' marcó a varias generaciones, fue una gran artista. Actriz, vedette, bailarina, cantante, empresaria. Una mujer que supo construir su carrera profesional. Un personaje que cautivó a mucha gente. La miniserie documental hace mucho hincapié en ese aspecto. El personaje, porque eso era Raffaella Carra. Lo que vieron quienes la admiraron en aquellos tiempos, lo que vemos a través de vídeos en Youtube, es el personaje que ella creó y por el que renunció a muchas cosas.

A través de algunos episodios lo sabremos por testimonios de personas muy cercanas a ella. Familiares, amigos, trabajadores. El lado desconocido. La de Pelloni, la mujer, la persona que tiene que soportar el abandono paterno, la relación con su madre, las calumnias de quienes querían hacerle daño. La mujer que quería ser madre. También la mujer que amaba, sus relaciones amorosas, muy importantes para ella y su éxito profesional.

Lo que vemos en una pantalla es una cosa. Recordemos que todos somos humanos. Actores, cantantes, influencers (son las nuevas estrellas de hoy) inspiran a muchas personas. A veces los idolatran de forma malsana, como si fueran seres superiores, olvidando que son de carne y hueso, como todos, con virtudes y defectos. Con éxitos y fracasos, con luces y sombras. La miniserie documental no trata ningún tema escabroso. Está claro que está hecha desde un punto de vista admirativo.

No hay ninguna duda que las películas basadas en cómics están pasando por su peor momento; la mala calidad en historia, actuación, dirección y demás elementos hacen se pierda el interés en este tipo de producciones; un nuevo ejemplo de lo antes descrito es el MCU que parece haber gastado la fórmula exitosa de sus primeras fases y ahora sin importar que tan planeada sea el final de uno de los muchos relatos dentro de esa franquicia y termine siendo un fracaso en recaudación de taquilla.

There is no doubt that movies based on comic books are going through their worst moment; the poor quality in story, acting, direction and other elements make people lose interest in this type of productions; a new example of the above is the MCU that seems to have spent the successful formula of its first phases and now no matter how planned is the end of one of the many stories within that franchise and ends up being a failure at the box office.

Al comenzar a ver "The Marvels", película que es secuela de "Captain Marvel" (2019), de eventos en "WandaVision" (2021) y de la miniserie "Ms. Marvel", me hizo pensar que (por supuesto) Marvel Studios tenía un plan para el desarrollo de la historia de estos personajes junto a todo lo referente al multiverso lo cual sigue siendo el tema de importancia en las últimas fases de esta franquicia; un plan igual al que se trató de realizar con La Bruja Escarlata después de la producción del cual fue protagonista y el film "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness"; ambos planes, en mi opinión, no cumplió con todas las expectativas creadas y considero que la relación de todas estas series de producciones lo considero como el comienzo y por ahora fin de este grave problema que padece el MCU.

Esta película reúne al trío de heroínas que comparten similitudes con su nombre de héroe y un poder, el cual difieren en su uso, pudo ser una gran producción, una aventura espacial en donde se debería derrotar a un gran enemigo, lamentablemente este film se aleja de esa simple idea y ofrece la que considero una de las peores películas de esta franquicia basada en comics. La dirección (supuestamente) realizada por Nia DaCosta, es de lo más simple y menos destacable en este film, es genérico y en momentos pareciera que estuviera viendo una serie de TV; ni las extensas escenas de pelea en el primer acto del film puedo decir que es entretenida o un estilo para tomar en cuenta en un futuro, es completamente decepcionante.

El guion a pesar de lo simple pudo ser mejor, por ejemplo, el tema en que cada uno de estos personajes cambie de lugar al usar sus poderes me pareció una buena y divertida idea porque de esa manera salta ese tema de obligar a reconocer virtudes y así formar un equipo, algo que de igual manera está presente, pero es mucho más rápido y eso lo reconozco como una virtud; ahora el problema está en como se desarrolla el protagonismo de "Carol Danvers" y "Monica Rambeau", una se ve opacada o hasta olvidada por lo mal escrito de la villana y sus motivos, la otra es de lo más forzado y la poca o nula empatía que se puede sentir por ese personaje, cosa contraria con "Kamala" que sin importar que tan molesta que puede ser su personaje, no cambia, pero eso no evita que sea un personaje mal escrito porque no presenta ningún crecimiento.

No es un secreto que los villanos en el MCU son los peores personajes en esta franquicia, esto no lo digo por sus actos en las diferentes historias, sino por lo mal escritos; en "The Marvels", puedo decir con toda mi convicción de que el personaje "Dar-Benn" interpretado por Zawe Ashton, es el peor villano que he visto, es aburrida, no es intimidante, no posee ninguna frase célebre y lo peor es la actuación; es un personaje muy malamente usado y esto lo digo por sus convincentes motivos para llevar a cabo la venganza contra la Capitana Marvel; mayormente culpo a los guionistas cuando un personaje importante no posee un peso relevante en la historia, pero cuando el actor no contribuye en nada con el personaje, es inevitable no convertirse en parte de lo peor del film.

Por extraña razón, he visto toda esta historia de "Captain Marvel" que ha ofrecido el MCU; más que nada por la influencia de críticas (positivas y negativas) hacia el personaje y también por sus otras versiones, en especial por la de "Ms. Marvel" que creo que presenta de los mejores episodios pilotos en este formato de serie de TV del MCU; posiblemente eso se debe a que en esta oportunidad sea el personaje de "Monica" quien tenga más protagonismo, pero creo que es un grave error porque no tiene una verdadera historia que respalde sus actos en este film, lamentablemente sigue siendo un personaje olvidable, el cual no tiene el peso para liderar un film y menos este que debió ser un buen final para esta historia de la Avengers más poderosa. Me sorprendió que este film no sea considerado como de los peores del pasado año, su corta duración es uno de los factores que perjudican el desarrollo de la historia, pero a pesar de alguna que otra decisión, pienso en el nulo desarrollo de los personajes, son los mismos que en producciones pasadas y eso es grave, los convierte en aburridos y creo que es eso una de las características que cada vez más afecta a este género del cine.

Miller’s Girl a 2024 American dramatic thriller movie written and directed by Jade Halley Bartlett, the story is based around a complex relationship between a student and her teacher, for drama fans this is going to be a great watch, just from the trailer itself you can tell how Jonathan will start to loose his sanity bit by bit when Cairo starts to push his limits creating a toxic environment for him, he can't spend a second without thinking about her but at the same time knowing it's all wrong even one of his colleges told him "You are the adult". Starring Jenna Ortega as talented writer Cairo Sweet and Martin Freeman as once neglected writer turned teacher Jonathan Miller, the movie explores the difficulties both characters are forced to confront, on Cairo she starts to explore her seduction powers and on Jonathan his weakness on a situation he has not been before, such as their inner demons.

From what I could look online this story had to go through a long journey to reach the screen, the sales script was acquired by Seth Rogen's company, Point Gray Pictures, in December 2016, and was placed on the Black List of un produced scripts, first time I ever heard about it but it seels the "Black List" is an annual list that showcase the movie industry's most liked un produced screenplays, it was started on 2005 and has produced more than 440 of its selected scripts. Then in September 2022, Lionsgate movies lock down the rights, setting the stage for a notable cast, including Gideon Adlon, Bashir Salahuddin, Dagmara Domińczyk and Christine Adams. Shooting took place in Cartersville, Georgia, and Miller’s Girl made its debut at the Palm Springs movie Festival recently on January 11, 2024..

Miller’s Girl director Jade Halley Bartlett is a rising star in the movie industry, unfortunately there was not much that I could find on her profiles across popular movie sites like IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she gained recognition for co-writing the 2022 Marvel Cinematic Universe movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” Although her script was on The Black List, Bartlett became known with this story and had the opportunity to show his ability to write and direct, I think must be a great combination and what the experience to go from writing a script, having it NOT produced but everyone loves it to finally get a company like Lionsgate to buy the rights to produce it and have you direct it, you probably get to dictate how things will happen based on how you envision them when writing the script, must be years in the making aside from what I could find online, script existed since 2016 but when did this idea really spark the flame on Jade's mind?.

However, the controversial nature of the plot has sparked discussions about the interpretation of relationships between teachers and students in the media, unfortunately on the crystal world that we live in this movie will raise some critics against the potential message of the movie but as I always mention its us as adults who need to have our values in check and not let media affect our judgement. Critics express concern about possible harmful stereotypes, highlighting the need to carefully consider the movie's impact on public perceptions, with many saying it is more of the representation idealized or unrealistic fashion of a relationship between a teenage girl and a adult man, where his life ends up being ruined, a topic that has been touch many many times by this type of drama theme productions.
