As I knew before the series premier it is all about exposing more the Native American Culture and their history, every episode is going to me based at first on Mayas ancestors, first was Chafa, then Lowak and now its the time of Tuklo, a warrior women who was born during the times that women were not allow to be fighters but she had the spirit of a warrior, was great at shooting and there was a horsemen police that tribes had established called the Lighthorsemen, her father was part of them and even though he train her well he was against the idea of Tuklo been part of them until one day she proof him wrong saving them from a trap set by some criminals they were after, theory is that there are those born to be chosen ones like Chafa, Lowak, Tuklo and now Maya who eventually get the powers of their ancestors, problem with Maya is that she is kinda ona gray area, not really part of her community for now and playing on the wrong side.

Now comes the guffy part, while Maya was wondering around the house lake since her uncle Henry ask her to lay low until he figure things out, Maya is trying to figure out whats her next step after she blew up Kingpin's ware house and how this is going to unfold probably a bit of splash back, she gets kidnap by Vickie and his two girlfriends? I don't know from where this two other came out, ECHO does have it's super hero side because Maya has power but its more of a regular mortals series with one person with super powers the rest is just regular people including Dare Devil, the guy has not super powers other than great fighting skills and super hearing because he is deaf not because ther is something extra special about his hearing he just happen to develop it better than others.

There are some scenes from Chula that I skip since I wanted to concentrate more into the part how Maya gets caught, by accident Bonnie does too along with their uncle Henry, as I mention it feels silly that Maya cant get out there by just busting this three ass or taking their weapons but as we saw on the first episode she is still on that learning process of how to be a bad ass, she is not there yet to disarm people on the spot and then kick their ass.

Bonnie and Maya did have their moment to talk about everything that has gone down so far, since they separate, when Maya's father died, all the text messages, letters, emails that Bonnie send her but not even a word back, Maya is not a bad person she is confuse, doesn't really know what she wants and is full of anger thats why we will see her take stupid desicions from here and there besides she is a bad ass and that makes things worst because then she figures out she can get out alive of most situations.

After many years Maya and Bonnie see each other once again, its here when Maya figures out she better get out of the because they coming for her, Bonnie let her know Vickie was talking about someone paying for Maya, remember Maya is deaf; here is when Maya had to figure out how to trick the fat chick who was guarding the door, she came up with some hand made gun that shoots bearings and use it to get out of there.

Well as expected Kingpin goons got to town and meet with Zane at the Roller Skates where he had Maya, Bonnie and Henry just that they never though Maya would escape that easy, comes in Zane in charge of Kingpin goon squad and kills him for making him loose time and smell something was out of place, besides Henry did told Vickie they were not going to pay him and kill him after the deal was done, that's just how things work when a civilian tries to take advantage of a gangster.

It was here when the episodes starts to pick up because as I mention the entire part when Vickie takes Maya and Henry as hostages felt stupid since this two other girls and Vickie were stupid. Maya does got herself out and now its after Zane's guys, taking them down one by one, making comparison of how on the first part of the episode Tuklo learn how to shoot and throw things, Maya can take a punch to the face and its impressive her fighting skills something that is not yet clear is WHAT ARE HER POWERS!! she does have certain super human strength when she needs it like on the previous episode when her leg got stuck but other than that nothing else special, when I say special is super human style although on this series no need so far, she took down almost everyone on Zane's squad, the scene is very bloody and violent, love it.

Maya does have a weak side and that is family, Zane got a hold to Bonnie so Maya had to stop and give up, now Zane is ready to take action and put a bullet on Maya, Henry and Bonnie not that he has to on each but he is not leaving witnesses, that moment when they were on their knees ready to be killed, Zane got a call, someone told him to stop and let them go.

Maya and Henry were looking at each other thinking who could have given that order, Henry knew there was only one person who could, Kingpin; Maya did shoot him in the face but hey the guy has a big head, Henry is now willing to help Maya because there is no way back, they already attempt to kill Maya and him, well even Bonnie was onboard on that job, Maya goes back to her parents old house and there he was, waiting for her, Kingpin himself in the flesh, walking and talking the most impressive part, Maya look mad when they saw each other and afraid at first.

Even with all the low score reviews I get this series doesn't even get to 8/10 but at least is a basic 7/10, I understand how some might feel there should be more to it but it is what it is, an entertaining series to kill an hour on every episode while we keep exploring Maya's journey, there is a lot to happen because she is still into town, we havent seen Dare Devil anymore and we still not sure when and how she got with Kingpin since little so fit that entire story into two episodes is going to be difficult to accomplish, I'm still going to watch and post about the two episodes left, there still good things about each episode and not everything is bad as people say online.

Noah Hawley once again creates a story emulating the style of the Coen film that inspired the series. Each season covers a stand-alone story, although some have connections to each other and the first season established the link to the original film.

I have been pleased with this new batch of episodes. The creativity has not waned and I don't feel that this universe is exhausted. There are countless stories that can be created and I hope they decide to give us another season.

The phrase that what happened happened in a certain place and out of respect for the dead is told as it happened, still appears at the beginning of each episode, although in reality it is a totally invented story, but that phrase along with the unusual events and the characters that populate this universe, bring attractions to the series.

Noah Hawley vuelve a crear una historia emulando el estilo de la película de los Coen que inspiró la serie. Cada temporada abarca una historia independiente, aunque algunas tienen conexiones entre sí y la primera temporada estableció el vínculo con la película original.

He quedado satisfecho con esta nueva tanda de episodios. La creatividad no ha decaído y no siento que este universo esté agotado. Hay innumerables historias que se pueden crear y espero que decidan darnos otra temporada.

La frase de que lo que pasó sucedió en un lugar determinado y por respeto a los muertos se cuenta tal y como sucedió, sigue apareciendo al principio de cada episodio, aunque en realidad es una historia totalmente inventada, pero esa frase junto con los hechos insólitos y los personajes que pueblan este universo, aportan atractivos a la serie.

If I had to rank in order the seasons I liked the most, it would be as follows.

First place: The first season, without hesitation. It was outstanding in every aspect. It received a lot of praise from both critics and viewers.

Second place: The second season, where they traveled back in time to show a story that had been referenced in the first season and featured a character from the same but in its young version. A great way to continue exploring the world of Fargo.

Third place: Season 4. I loved the previous season, also set in decades past and establishing a connection to the second season.

Fourth place: Season 3. There was a female character I fell in love with in that season. Plus an enigmatic counter-figure with a very unique personality.

Fifth place: the current season five. Just because it takes this place doesn't mean it's the worst season. I thought it was good, but it doesn't really surpass any of the previous ones because of small details that I'll mention later.

This time the story takes place in 2019. During the administration of Donald Trump. This is vital to be clear about, in order to understand the political message inherent in what is being told. It is no secret that much of Hollywood was against the presidency of that gentleman. Hollywood is very progre and it shows in many productions in recent years.

That is why the character named Roy Tillman represents that sector of Americans extremely patriotic, macho, abusive, who impose the law with a gun in his hand. Racist and who fervently believes that America should be completely white. A man from another era who symbolizes all that is evil. A ruthless, cruel and cold-blooded being.

We must applaud the performance of actor Jon Hamm, whom many will remember for being Don Draper in the masterpiece Mad Men. Roy Tillman is a great villain, although at times he can border on parody, but let's remember that this is the Fargo universe and all the characters always have some strange characteristics, but that's where the magic lies.

Si tuviera que clasificar por orden las temporadas que más me han gustado, sería la siguiente.

Primer puesto: La primera temporada, sin dudarlo. Fue extraordinaria en todos los aspectos. Recibió muchos elogios tanto de la crítica como de los espectadores.

Segundo puesto: La segunda temporada, donde viajaron al pasado para mostrar una historia a la que se había hecho referencia en la primera temporada y aparecía un personaje de la misma pero en su versión joven. Una gran forma de seguir explorando el mundo de Fargo.

Tercer puesto: Temporada 4. Me encantó la temporada anterior, también ambientada en décadas pasadas y estableciendo una conexión con la segunda temporada.

Cuarto puesto: Tercera temporada. Hubo un personaje femenino del que me enamoré en esa temporada. Además de una enigmática contrafigura con una personalidad muy particular.

Quinto lugar: la actual temporada cinco. El hecho de que ocupe este lugar no significa que sea la peor temporada. Me pareció buena, pero realmente no supera a ninguna de las anteriores por pequeños detalles que mencionaré más adelante.

Esta vez la historia transcurre en el año 2019. Durante la administración de Donald Trump. Esto es vital tenerlo claro, para entender el mensaje político inherente a lo que se cuenta. No es ningún secreto que gran parte de Hollywood estaba en contra de la presidencia de ese señor. Hollywood es muy progre y se nota en muchas producciones de los últimos años.

Por eso el personaje llamado Roy Tillman representa a ese sector de americanos extremadamente patriotas, machistas, abusivos, que imponen la ley con una pistola en la mano. Racista y que cree fervientemente que América debe ser completamente blanca. Un hombre de otra época que simboliza todo lo malo. Un ser despiadado, cruel y de sangre fría.

Hay que aplaudir la interpretación del actor Jon Hamm, al que muchos recordarán por ser Don Draper en la obra maestra Mad Men. Roy Tillman es un gran villano, aunque a veces puede rozar la parodia, pero recordemos que esto es el universo Fargo y todos los personajes siempre tienen unas características un poco extrañas, pero ahí es donde está la magia.

The Snow Society, is a film based on the true story of a group of Uruguayans, who suffered a tragic accident in the Andes Mountains in 1972, where the survivors are forced to survive, depending on each other, enduring the infernal cold of the mountains, with hunger, thirst and injuries difficult to treat, here we will see the struggle, courage, and strong friendship, with the only goal of getting out of that place alive and return to their homes.

This is a dramatic film, released in 2023 in theaters in Uruguay, first, then in Spain, directed by J.A. Bayona, based on the book of the same name by Pablo Vierci; moreover, it was chosen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, to represent Spain in the OSCAR 2024 awards, in the category of Best International Film.

They are 144 minutes full of drama, action, fear, uncertainty, somehow you feel identified with each scene, with each of the characters, being there, all alone, exposed to that strong weather, that cold, that storm, but above all, the fear that invades them, the thought of not returning home, to see their loved ones and die there alone and abandoned to their fate.

Undoubtedly the director of this film did a great job, a great effort to capture each scene lived by all of them, to tell and show as real as possible their experiences in this tragic accident, and how they managed to survive, the losses they suffered, that pain, that helplessness of not being able to do anything for them, there are no words.

I must confess that the end of this story was what shook me the most, you have to see it to know what I am talking about, it is something that as I said, there are no words to express it; this story is of brave people, because for me, that is what they were, these young survivors of this catastrophe, a real struggle full of courage and bravery.

Son 144 minutos lleno de drama, acción, miedo, incertidumbre, de alguna forma te sientes identificado con cada escena, con cada uno de los personajes, el estar allí, completamente solos, expuestos a ese clima tan fuerte, ese frío, esa tempestad, pero sobre todo, el miedo que los invade, el pensar no volver a casa, de ver a sus seres queridos y morir allí solos y abandonados a su suerte.

Sin duda el director de este film hizo un gran trabajo, un gran esfuerzo por plasmar cada escena vivida por todos ellos, en contar y mostrar lo más real posible sus vivencias en este trágico accidente, y como lograron sobrevivir, las perdidas que sufrieron, ese dolor, esa impotencia de no poder hacer nada por ellos, no tiene palabras.

Debo confesar que el final de esta historia fue lo que más me estremeció, tienen que verlo, para poder saber de lo que les hablo, es algo que como dije, no hay palabras para poder expresarlo; esta historia es de valientes, porque para mí, eso fueron, estos jóvenes sobrevivientes de esta catástrofe, una verdadera lucha llena de valentía y coraje.

Cabe señalar que este no es el primer film que sacan sobre esta historia, ya que en 1993, se estrenó VIVEN, protagonizada por el actor *Ethan Hawke, la verdad recuerdo muy poco de esta versión, pero sin duda, esta nueva, La sociedad de la nieve, es como muchos han dicho una obra maestra, con escenas únicas, inolvidables, que trasmiten toda esa sensación, esas montañas, esa nieve, pero sobre todo ese frío, el solo imaginar todo lo que estas personas sufrieron, la verdad, tienen que verlo, si no lo han hecho.

I am a person who prefers to watch action and science fiction movies, I like to see chase scenes, fights, explosions or time travel, but watching the trailer for Lisa Frankenstein it caught my attention, I'm not fully invested on this movie so I know what I'm getting in, my expectations are not supper high but when I watch it I still want to be worth burning over 1 hour of my time and I think it will, it is a comic horror movie which is not bad for a laugh on a Sunday, will be released in theaters on February 9, 2024. The talented Diablo Cody is the author of the plot she also wrote another movie of similar style Juno I remember watching it a few years ago and it was good not going lie, this movie also includes the debut director Zelda Williams brings the movie to life with her skill in direction, promising a combination of romance, horror and a generous dose of comedy.

Set in 1989, for those over 30 this is going to bring probably so many throw backs and its one of the reasons I like the trailer, the story follows the adventures of Lisa Swallows, a misunderstood goth teenager played by Kathryn Newton who latter on kind of become a rock start or may be more popular than she was towards the end of the movie. During a thunderstorm, a peculiar event of fate occurs when Lisa some how resurrects a handsome Victorian era corpse, seems she wish he was alive and it just happen that a lighting hit the grave. Using a broken tanning machine in her garage, she sets out to transform him into the man of her dreams, I automatically remembered the Tim Burton movie Frankenweenie when the boy revives his deceased dog with the power of happiness and turns him into A kind of Frankenstein, I watch this one with my kids; this supposed boyfriend of Lisa has a similar appearance but not with that many stitches. In the trailer you can see that both live a comical and at the same time horrifying story, going back and forward trying to patch him up, clean him and changing his and her outlook too, the couple searches for true love, happiness and some body parts that are missing along the way when they at first take a hand from a guy and then becomes an obsession probably to improve her boyfriend killing more people in the process.

Zelda Williams, the director of this movie is also an American actress, producer and writer, the truth is I don't know much about her, she is a young director, daughter of the remembered actor Robin Williams, I have read that she was the voice of Kuvira in the cartoon Nickelodeon The Legend of Korra and prior to her directorial debut, Williams directed music videos and an episode of the television series Dark/Web. In 2018, she wrote, directed and starred in the short movie Shrimp, which was her debut in feature movies. Lisa Frankenstein marks a significant stage in her career, she did appear on a few TV series that I did watch like Criminal Minds and Stitckers, not the most popular but they were OK, as you can tell there is very little I could find about her just from her IMDB profile but I'm sure she watch and learn from her father for many years the great Robin Williams and decided to pursue directing after a few appearance on different productions.

The cast of Lisa Frankenstein is a very mix one that include actors like Kathryn Newton, known for her roles in Big Little Lies and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, brings in a very familiar face, it was not her fault Quantumania didn't succeed so its all good. Cole Sprouse who plays the man or the Lisa Frankenstein, from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Riverdale and he also appear in the beloved TV series Friends from 90s, there is another good amount of years in the making of this actor. Liza Soberano, a Filipino American actress with a string of box office successes in the Philippines, brings her international expertise to the production. Meanwhile, the very talented Carla Gugino, who plays Lisa's mother, has quite the portfolio that includes performances in several productions like Gerald's Game, American Gangster, and San Andreas.

Then there's Joe Chrest, a familiar face from his role in Stranger Things. And last but not least, Henry Eikenberry seems to be stepping onto the big screen for the first if I'm not mistaken, I do remember him from last year on The Crowded Room TV Series; I couldn't find any much information about his previous work, but the cast is a mix of experienced actors and fresh faces that promises to deliver some good laughs and mystery, I think mainly when are they going to get caught with all the killing to patch up her zombie boyfriend who seem to look more human the more the story goes on.

I always like to read about what critics expect of the movies prior their release that's basically why I have pivot in to making this kind of posts, in general they have been positive, most classify this production as a comedy of romance and horror, reminds me a lot of My Chemical Romance song Helena, the theme and plot of the movie is very unconventional I would say as they put together comedy, murder, zombie and romance, this movie is going to be quite unique on its own and I think its going to be a success on its genre, probably not a block buster at the box office but will do well and have good scores, the cast is well rounded with experience on some unconventional tv series too.

This is not the first time that a production tries to take the Zombie theme into something more normal, something that is not dangerous, the first one I remember was Warm Bodies on a very similar vibe with Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer and then I remember a TV Series iZombie that did very well although I never watch that one so my point is that this is nothing new but the combination from the 90s and the Frankenstein aspect can make it more refreshing from people born on the 80s.

Synopsis: A seemingly perfect family begins to experience a turbulent situation after the husband discovers that his wife, in fact, works as a hired assassin providing services for a secret company.

Life in the American suburbs can actually be quite peaceful if you fit into the archetypal social standards, but everything the Brackett family represents is something that breaks any kind of expectation (at least considering what the family matriarch does, which is kill people in exchange for money). When Emma's identity is exposed, her husband Dave has to deal with different types of feelings, which are obviously in conflict. This is the plot of this comedy that brings action and some light dramatic touches, but almost completely fails in all of them.

One of the big problems with movies that can't decide what kind of stories they want to tell is trying to go beyond what they can offer. In the case of this example, the movie can’t decide whether it wants to invest in comedy, action or drama in a more immersive way. In the absence of a more assertive path, the plot aims and shoots everywhere, but without being able to hit any target with precision. Amid a set of inefficient jokes, along with very few action scenes without impact and the dramatic arc very poorly explored, this patchwork is average.

Drawing heavily on movies with a very similar theme, the script here even tries to insert the couple into a more complicated situation, as well as trying to invert the role of the man as a lethal threat and the woman as a more “adjacent” piece. Emma is the wife who has deadly skills because she was trained to do so since she was little by her tutors, while Dave is the husband focused on keeping the family together at all costs. Two worlds of distinct immersions and impacts, but one by chance, were brought together and converged into an exposure.

The Daily Beast

The exposure occurs due to a failure in the security work that was supposed to protect Emma from her enemies, and when she accidentally involves her own husband in the middle of one of her missions (when in fact they just wanted to spice up their relationship a little more by celebrating another wedding anniversary), she finally begins to feel the tension of danger reaching her family when they all come under the gun of the FBI and the secret organization she works for. Trying to right the wrongs of the past and lead a normal life, Emma now wants her freedom.

Betting on few mystery elements without complex plots, the movie has a very light approach (including when it comes to violence). Without bringing any boldness in terms of violence or more acid jokes, the plot remains in a neutral zone, creating extremely regular action scenes and comedy scenes that border on a very childish approach (mainly by focusing on jokes starring children). Everything here is generic (because it is full of clichés) and forgettable, within a very dynamic and fun sphere of what could have been.

There is an acute lack of depth in all the subplots presented, and it is incredible that the script cannot create a single efficient scene to convincingly explain everything that is happening. Although the plot has very simple elements, there is no effort on the part of the script to try to make all those situations sound believable. Probably, because the movie has a stronger comedy base, the script opted for freedom, as well as opting for the simplicity of a comical situation and simply adding some extra features.

In the end, this mix didn't work, and director Thomas Vincent helped considerably to make it a disappointing experience. In many moments the movie seems to have been made to meet the filming deadline, as if it were just an obligation on the director's calendar. There is no trace of inspiration or creativity when filming this project, which is technically problematic (especially when it comes to exploring scenarios). Vicent also shows little skill in finishing scenes, which are almost always poorly edited.

Geek Tyrant

Starring Kaley Cuoco (who is definitely not convincing in the role of a lethal assassin, but who manages to save her role because despite being an actress with a reasonable acting performance, she is very beautiful and charismatic) and David Oyelowo (who despite being an actor very talented person needs to deal with a script that does not favor him in any context), Role Play is an unexciting entertainment and delivers yet another product without potential that only goes directly to streaming channels (in this case, Prime Video) as a way to increase choice options.

Sinopsis: Una familia aparentemente perfecta comienza a vivir una situación turbulenta después de que el marido descubre que su esposa, en realidad, trabaja como asesina a sueldo prestando servicios para una empresa secreta.

La vida en los suburbios estadounidenses puede ser bastante pacífica si encajas en los estándares sociales arquetípicos, pero todo lo que representa la familia Brackett es algo que rompe cualquier tipo de expectativa (al menos considerando lo que hace la matriarca de la familia, que es matar gente a cambio de dinero). En medio de un conjunto de chistes ineficaces, junto con muy pocas escenas de acción sin impacto y el arco dramático muy mal explorado, este mosaico es mediocre.

Maya starts to twist Biscuits, make him do things for her, nothing bad per say but she is using him for favors here and there so people in town doesn't notice she is there, she wants to keep a low profile for many reasons, specially because of her grand mother Shula and Bonnie, she knows how her grand mother never like her father and what would she do or say to Maya knowing she is worst that her father, don't forget Maya was part of Kingpin mafia back at New York, killing, dealing.

That's exactly what happen, Shula figure out Maya was in town and straight up asks Henry and ask him to keep Maya away basically from the rest of the family, Shula knows Maya means trouble for anyone in town, she can deal with it but seems Bonnie can't.

What I like the most about the action scene was that it was fun, Biscuits gives it that touch of comedy that makes it fun, it's not funny stupid and on the other side Maya is a bad ass and makes everything look so easy like I GOT THIS!!

Now this is the part I have problems with the episode, the train scene there are a few things that make little scenes to me but its a TV series about a women with super powers so lets starts with the basics, she is under the train wagon and start using a FUCKING POWER SAW like it's nothing and probably with one hand to cut steel, do you know how hard is that?? specially been hanging upside down WTF!! second what about the USB camera that Biscuits got for her, it was a full blown USB Type A camera how did she connect it to her phone, third but should the first one, the tracking app she got working on Biscuits phone to track her OK lets say she install it prior getting to the bridge where she jump from, lastly the sealant spray that in seconds hold up a steel plate in place like she JB Weld the fucking thing. All this details make it difficult to believe because this is not super human straight up shit, this is I'm going to pull all this lines from my ass that make no sense for a human to do.

Biscuits again saves the scene, "This is crazy!" right before Maya jumps out the train but then we fall into FUCKING DETAILS, how did she jump that high after her prosthesis leg got destroy when it got caught up, I had friends who ere gymnastics and they could jump fucking high but with one leg? OK lets say she use her powers at that moment because it seem she have some kind of super strength, that's how she free herself when her leg got caught up.

So far bit of a ranting on the previous two scenes that I consider important now the rest is to give some closure to the episode, the container Maya infiltrate had bombs on it, she basically set a trap so when it arrive their warehouse it would explode, she work for Kingpin so she for sure know his people and locations where he save things like guns, money, etc, this is suppose to be the start of her hitting back harder and trying to get control on Kingpin empire, problem is that shit is about to hit the fan once Kingpin starts to find out how this mess happen and it tracks back to Henry who runs a cargo company that by the way handles the route that train took.

Henry gets pissed at Maya for still going through with her plan and not letting him know before hand or at least didn't do it all because once Kingpin figures out it was her and where she is hell is going to come down to that town, on the other side of things Biscuits was at the shop trying to get Shula's truck fixed, at the town they run a radio frequency probably public and he was trying to sell his PS4 when Bonnie picks up and ask what happen to the truck and Biscuits by accident mention he was OK including Maya there for Bonnie ask Maya WTF! why she is in town and didn't contact her.

After all I enjoy the episode, lets say I learn new things about Maya culture, the Choctaw with the first scenes of the episode, the comedy was fine it was very funny, all actors are doing OK, I don't feel any of them is under performing or any poor acting signs and I really like Maya as the main character but its the details that is killing me on this episode, first episode I was not a fan off because as I mention it felt like a fucking entire flashback with little context and now that I think about it when the hell are we going to see Dare Devil again if Maya still in town and there are only three episodes more, meaning that there will be only two more episodes when we will see Dare Devil fighting either Maya or Kingpin, spidey-senses tell me this story is going to get crunch as fuck, no wonder why some people already piss about it.

But, things are about to change, since Gu Won, the son of the owner of the company, appears on the scene to dispute the position of hotel president with his sister with whom he does not have a good relationship. After a series of misunderstandings and clashes, Gu Won takes a dislike to Sa-rang for always showing up with a smile that he seems to despise and treats her as a fake. However, over time he begins to feel attracted to her and tries to win her affection as the struggle for leadership of the hotel becomes increasingly difficult.

No suelo ver muchos k-dramas, la verdad es que veré 2 o 3 por año. La razón es contradictoria porque me gustan tanto que cuando los termino no puedo empezar otro de inmediato ya que todavía sigo pensando en el que termine. Hasta me hago fan de la banda sonora, que es lo que me ocurrió ahora porque me parece espectacular, acompaña muy bien cada momento significativo que sucede en la serie. Mientras escribo esto estoy escuchando la playlist que encontré en Spotify.

I don't usually watch a lot of k-dramas, the truth is I will watch 2 or 3 per year. The reason is contradictory because I like them so much that when I finish them I can't start another one right away since I'm still thinking about the one I finished. I even become a fan of the soundtrack, which is what happened to me now because I find it spectacular, it accompanies very well every significant moment that happens in the series. As I write this I'm listening to the playlist I found on Spotify.

Esta serie me pareció muy entretenida, me enganchó desde el primer capítulo. Al principio tenemos algunos saltos temporales bastantes significativos pero que nos hacen dar una idea del esfuerzo que hizo Sa-rang para ganarse su lugar en el hotel y de cómo fue madurando Gu Won, que pasó de ser un crío despreocupado a tener un propósito en la vida. Es increíble hasta dónde son capaces de llevarte tus sueños si te lo propones de verdad.

I found this series very entertaining, I was hooked from the first chapter. At the beginning we have some significant time jumps that give us an idea of the effort Sa-rang made to earn his place in the hotel and how Gu Won matured from being a carefree kid to having a purpose in life. It's amazing how far your dreams can take you if you really set your mind to it.

Estos dos personajes vienen de mundos diferentes, Sa-rang es de clase media y Won es de una familia prestigiosa y millonaria, pero esto no lo hace un arrogante ni mucho menos, nada más que a su vida le faltaba cierta luz que encontró cuando conoció a Sa-rang y empezó a disfrutar de los pequeños placeres de la vida que no requieren de tantos lujos. Ella le mostró otro mundo que él aceptó y amó. También tuvieron sus obstáculos que atravesar antes de llegar a donde llegaron. Al principio se llevaban muy mal y discutían por todo. Era divertido verlos pelear, pero más genial fue ver surgir su historia de amor y apreciar como cada uno estuvo para el otro en momentos determinados.

These two characters come from different worlds, Sa-rang is middle class and Won is from a prestigious and millionaire family, but this does not make him arrogant, nothing more than that his life lacked a certain light that he found when he met Sa-rang and began to enjoy the small pleasures of life that do not require so many luxuries. She showed him another world that he accepted and loved. They also had their obstacles to go through before they got to where they got to. At first they got along very badly and argued about everything. It was fun to watch them fight, but cooler was watching their love story emerge and appreciating how each was there for the other at certain times.

Tampoco pueden faltar esos personajes secundarios que aportan su cuota de humor y sus historias paralelas, una que me gustó mucho fue la de una de las amigas de Sa-rang. Ese es otro punto a favor de esta serie, se puede ver un hermoso vínculo de amistad que me hizo emocionar. Que lindo contar con amigos así en tu vida, que sabes que estarán en las buenas y en las malas. También, como todo drama, tiene su carga emotiva y secretos que envuelven la trama y la hacen atrapante al querer llegar al hilo de la cuestión.

Also, you can't miss those secondary characters that bring their share of humor and their parallel stories, one that I really liked was the story of one of Sa-rang's friends. That's another point in favor of this series, you can see a beautiful bond of friendship that made me get excited. How nice to have friends like that in your life, who you know will be there through thick and thin. Also, like any drama, it has its emotional charge and secrets that wrap up the plot and make it gripping as you want to get to the thread of the matter.

Al contrario de lo que les paso a algunas personas que vieron la serie y dijeron que les pareció aburrida toda la disputa de la herencia y la lucha por el hotel entre los hermanos, a mí me gustó mucho esa parte. Un poco de guerra y personajes antagonistas le dan vida a una serie, en mi opinión, aunque sí pienso que se quedaron un poco cortos en esta parte.

Contrary to what happened to some people who watched the series and said they found the whole inheritance dispute and the fight for the hotel between the brothers boring, I really liked that part. A little bit of war and antagonistic characters give life to a series, in my opinion, although I do think they fell a little short in this part.

En definitiva, es una serie que disfruté muchísimo, me reí, lloré, lloré muchísimo al final, pero de pura emoción. Fue una serie reconfortante, de esas que transmite sentimientos bonitos, es cálida. Te deja el mensaje de ser perseverante y perseguir tus sueños. Es cero tóxica, las historias románticas son muy hermosas y adoré a la pareja central y al grupo de los "6 hermanos" en particular. Por favor, esto es lo que a mí me gusta denominar como series del bien, ideales para ver una y otra vez. Así que por supuesto que está más que recomendada por mi parte.

In short, it is a series that I enjoyed a lot, I laughed, I cried, I cried a lot at the end, but of pure emotion. It was a comforting series, one of those that transmits beautiful feelings, it is warm. It leaves you with the message of being perseverant and pursuing your dreams. It's zero toxic, the romantic storylines are beautiful and I adored the central couple and the "6 brothers" group in particular. Please, this is what I like to refer to as a series of good, ideal to watch over and over again. So of course it is more than recommended by me.

Another movie coming to Netflix this month is The Kitchen, it had an early release on the UK past Friday, on the other side of the ocean there are some very interesting movies and actors from UK and from time to time I like to experiment and watch their movies, there is just something similar but different of street culture from UK to America and to be honest UK seems more rough on the edges , The Kitchen is a story of adventure, drama, somewhat futuristic of struggle and community, directed by Kibwe Tavares and Daniel Kaluuya, shows a dystopian London in which all forms of social housing have been removed, leaving just The Kitchen, a resilient community fighting to keep its home. This movie premiered at the BFI London movie Festival in October 2023 and is scheduled for release on Netflix in January 2024, there has been some confusion on the release date but on America as I mention is set for this Friday, follows the story of a men still living at The Kitchen who has to make changes on his life after crossing paths with a kid called Benji, a master thief looking for a big heist, and Benji, a 12 year old orphan going through life looking for the affection of a family that sometimes can be any group of people that makes him feel like home.

I started making this kind of posts as to an anticipation of movies and TV series, similar to my "What I'll be watching on..." to cover the pre and post, this type of content is not as complex when it comes to writing and illustrations although I will be changing both in the near future as I plan to make my content more attractive for search engines now that Inleo has this ever green content reward plan, things will keep evolving across time and that's what I'm planing to do with my regular posting process.

As always, before start talking about the movie I like to dive into the ensemble cast so we can have a clear idea on what to expect from the actors of 'The Kitchen' packing some known talent online, not that I know anything of them to be honest. Kane Robinson playing the role of Kano on the movie, brings quite a set of skills as he is a musician but have also work on other video productions like the TV Series Top Boy that has some similarities to The Kitchen.

Jedaiah Bannerman who plays the role of Benji was a hard one to research since I cant find anything else than The Kitchen on his IMDB profile, he has been mention as a newly discovered talent after he auditioned at the age of 14 for the role of Benji, despite not appearing on the screen before both Daniel Kaluya and Kibwe Tavares have put their faith on the young star.

Hope Ikpoku Jr, Teija Kabs, Demmy Ladipo, Cristale and BackRoad Gee. Shot in London and Paris between March and June 2022, the movie takes place primarily within the former London Electricity Board building, serving as the setting for The Kitchen. Iconic monuments like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum also make appearances, adding refreshing relation to the countries the movie was shot at.

The origin of “The Kitchen” comes from a conversation in a barbershop between Daniel Kaluuya, Kibwe Tavares and Daniel Emmerson in 2014. Selected for the Sundance Writing and Directing Lab in 2016, this project marks the debut of both for Tavares as for Kaluuya as directors. Tavares, founder of Factory Fifteen specializing in animation and visual effects, joins Kaluuya, his astonishing career began with roles in television series such as “Skins” and later expanded to other productions in the movie industry, some of them “Get Out”, “Black Panther” and “ “Judas and the Black Messiah.” His achievements include tons of awards, including an Academy Award and BAFTA awards, solidifying his position as a leading actor in the industry.

Although The Kitchen has received divided reviews and to be honest is not doing that well on IMDB with a poor score of 6.4 similar to what the audience currently say at Rottentomatoes, critics on the other hand have praise its originality, creativity and interpretation of what could be the future story of any community under such circunstances, the movie does show a lot of empathy between the main characters trying to express the understanding from Kano to Benji as he tries to protect him and showing him how to survive a world he was not probably created for, the movie also seem to have a slow pace based on descriptions and reviews I found online so probably is more about showing how The Kitchen is all about with scenes of their day by day and this can turn boring at times, the trailer does look very melow at certain scenes too and this could be because there is a lot of drama to be expected out of the dialog when Kano and others living at The Kitchen starts to show their struggle as the less favored, there is rebellion and confrontation with the police and the need for people to defend their rights and fight against oppression.

I would not count this movie out to be honest, how many times have I seen movie or TV series scores go down the drain just because of the current crystal generations ruling over this sites or critics who are not realistic, although I cant say that from Rottentomatoes critics since over that site the movie does have a good score of 86% acceptance so it seems opinions are divided, I'm a fan of Daniel Kaluuya and now as a director I think he has the experience and knows what is to be on great productions like NOPE, Black Panther, Get Out and Judas and the Black Messiah just to mention a few that he has been in but the ones more popular among viewers, I think he can now transmit all that talent and also demand performance from the cast enroll on this film specially a young star like Jedaiah Bannerman, I'm a fan of this type of movies where society falls and rise with full force after been set apart, now this separate worlds emerge from the struggle, there is something very special on simple things that's the case when we humans have less we live our life with the most joy, after all it is JUST A MOVIE, it only needs to be entertaining.
