The Brothers Sun is the latest Netflix action comedy drama created by the same creator of Glee, Brad Falchuk. Away from the hubbub of Taipe, Bruce Sun is a highschool student living an average asian-american life with her nurse mother, Eileen who is trying to make ends meet. Bruce is an aspiring improv and it is his ultimate dream to become a famous improv artist and has a nice crib along with a sexy lamborghini. His mother, much like a typical asian-immigrant in the US, wanted Bruce to become a doctor. While it might seem like that is the only conflict they might have, an ugly truth is waiting for Bruce to be revealed.

Far in the eastern world, Charles Sun is a ruthless man who has earned his own reputation to be the most feared renowned gangster under his father’s wing, the crime lord of Taiwan. While Charles was baking, a few assassins were going to his house and were about to kill him. It draws the attention of his father, who is known as Big Sun. Inside Charle’s penthouse, Big sun was shot and pronounced coma. As the big brother, he was bound to protect his family. He immediately travels to LA to meet and protect his mother and mother, Elieen and Bruce.

Growing up in different circumstances, it creates an intriguing dynamic between the two brothers. One is a known for feared assassin living a lavish lifestyle, and a part of a triad, another is only a highschool boy living an average life. Paired with more supporting characters such as TK (John Lee) and the beautiful Highdee Kuan as Alexis, together they try to figure out the truest meaning of family and their dreams.

Having Michelle Yeoh as one of the main characters, makes this series quite memorable. Yeoh has that charisma and intriguing intimidating tone while she talks. She makes the perfect role as the Triad’s queen and her stern look is pretty iconic. Like in Crazy Rich Asians, in this series, she also plays mahjong and gossips with the other asian ladies while gathering intel. It might look like her gathering is something of a waste of time but these asian ladies are way better than the FBI. They know everything.

While I personally don’t know the rest of the cast, It was Justin Chien that caught my attention the most. To be honest, he should star in one of Crazy Rich Asians type of dramas. He got that look and aura that could make him as par as Nick Young(Henry Goulding). Even better if the Crazy Rich Asians was something like Triad Rich Asians.

Sam Song Li who plays as Bruce is definitely successful in portraying the role of regular asian-american who also hustles as well as portraying the child with unconventional dreams and wishes to go against their parents. As a member of the triad, Bruce is far from the ruthless image but he has his own unique ways to show that he’s part of the Sun’s family.

Shot in Taipei as well as LA, it was quite an intriguing contrast. When in LA, there are yellow hues and mellowed lighting which creates a warm ambience. Though the cinematography is pretty much like narcos or even crime-related movies, it still supports its comedic elements throughout the scenes.

Last but not least, if you are a fan of Michael Yeoh, this is one of her best series/movies that she ever starred in. Though it’s giving Crazy Rich Asians vibes, the fights, the guns and the gore scenes, will certainly differ from the lovey-dovey Crazy Rich Asians. This series is an experience itself. I am certainly patiently waiting for the next season to come out. We need more Justin Chiang and Michael Yeoh!

This weekend I took the opportunity to see two movies that I had on my list, I said that this year, I was going to catch up with those I have pending, so here, I share with you the review of one of them, who does not remember or has not heard of the famous Three Musketeers.

These characters are a legend, they recently released a new story, called The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan, directed by Martin Bourboulon, based on the homonymous novel by Alejandro Dumas this movie full of adventure and action, is a saga divided into two parts, which the first was released in April, and the second in December 2023.

Este fin de semana aproveché para ver dos películas que tenía anotada en mi lista, dije que este año, me iba a poner al día, con las que tengo pendientes, asi que aquí, les comparto la reseña de una de ellas, quien no recuerda o ha escuchado de los famosos Tres Mosqueteros.

Estos personajes son una leyenda, recientemente sacaron una nueva historia, denominada Los tres mosqueteros: D'Artagnan, dirigida por Martin Bourboulon, basada en la novela homónima de Alejandro Dumas esta película llena de aventura y acción, es una saga dividida en dos partes, la cual la primera se estrenó en abril, y la segunda en diciembre del 2023.

As I said over the weekend, I took the opportunity to watch the first part, and it is certainly a really entertaining story, somewhat funny and exciting, worth watching; this film was co-produced between France, Germany and Spain, and from what I read, it took them about 150 days to record both sagas.

Now let's talk about the story, in this film, we will see a young Gascon called D'Artagnan, who was attacked and left for dead, by his aggressors, however, he returns to find his attackers, what he does not know is that with this search, he will be involved in a war, where the future of France is at stake, and he along with the other musketeers Athos, Porthos and Aramis, will have to face all these enemy forces, all with the purpose of protecting their king, and even their queen.

Love, war, fun, fights, this and much more we will see in this movie, enemies against the king, and even against the musketeers themselves, with a spectacular scenery, set in that medieval era, with action scenes worthy of this story.

Como dije el fin de semana, aproveche de mirar la primera parte, y sin duda es una historia realmente entretenida, algo divertida y emocionante, que vale la pena ver; esta película fue coproducida entre Francia, Alemania y España, y por lo que leí, les tomo alrededor de 150 días, para grabar ambas sagas.

Ahora hablemos de la historia, en este film, veremos a un joven gascón llamado D'Artagnan, el cual fue atacado y dado por muerto, por parte de sus agresores, sin embargo, este regresa para encontrar a sus atacantes, lo que no sabe es que con esta búsqueda, se verá involucrado en una guerra, donde está en juego el futuro de Francia, y él junto con los otros mosqueteros Athos, Porthos y Aramis, se tendrán que enfrentar a todas esas fuerzas enemigas, con el propósito de proteger a su rey, e incluso a su reina.

Amor, guerra, diversión, peleas, esto y mucho más veremos en esta película, enemigos contra el rey, e incluso contra los propios mosqueteros, con una escenografía espectacular, ambientada en aquella época medieval, con escenas de acción dignas de esta historia.

Regarding the characters, we will see François Civil playing the young and brave D'Artagnan, then Vincent Cassel as Athos, Pio Marmaï plays Porthos, Romain Duris will be Aramis, these as the brave and loyal protectors of the King.

On the other hand, we will see Eva Green as Milady de Winter, the mysterious, enigmatic enemy of these musketeers, with a first class performance, each of them, will captivate us, and transmit us that trip in the past, of that time, between war, and forbidden loves.

Con respecto a los personajes, veremos a François Civil interpretando al joven y valiente D’Artagnan, seguidamente Vincent Cassel como Athos, Pio Marmaï interpreta a Porthos, Romain Duris será Aramis, estos como los valientes y leales protectores del Rey.

Por otra parte, veremos a Eva Green como Milady de Winter, la misteriosa, enigmática enemiga de estos mosqueteros, con una actuación de primera, cada uno de ellos, lograran cautivarnos, y transmitirnos ese viaje en el pasado, de aquella época, entre la guerra, y los amores prohibidos.

This first part of the saga, has a duration of 2 hras, but I assure you that it is worth it, from the beginning, the story catches you, entertains you, and as I said, with good action scenes, and even some funny ones, that complicity between the musketeers, and the personality of each one, will make you want to see more.

On the other hand, this movie made me travel a little in time, and remember when I saw the version of the Musketeers with the famous actor Leonardo Di Caprio, surely many have seen it, and if not, well, I also invite you to give it a look, I say it in associating each of the Musketeers, who was each one, in that movie, obviously, the story has nothing to do with this, I clarify, that's why you have to see it.

Esta primera parte de la saga, tiene una duración de 2 hras, pero les aseguro que vale la pena, desde el inicio, la historia te atrapa, te entretiene, y como dije, con buenas escenas de acción, e incluso algunas divertidas, esa complicidad entre los mosqueteros, y la personalidad de cada uno, hará que quieras ver más.

Por otra parte, esta película me hizo viajar un poco en el tiempo, y recordar cuando vi la versión de los Mosqueteros con el famoso actor Leonardo Di Caprio, seguramente muchos la han visto, y si no, bueno, también los invito a darle una mirada, lo digo en asociar cada uno de los Mosqueteros, cuál era cada quien, en aquella película, obvio, la historia no tiene nada que ver con esta, les aclaro, por eso tienen que verla.

Synopsis: A secret organization made up of members with superpowers from different Soviet republics must face a dangerous enemy to try to avoid a war, maintaining world order and peace.

It doesn't surprise me that many movies around the world are inspired by American references of the same genre to be made, especially stories that try to create new superheroes. In the case of this example (which is of Russian origin), the plot even tries to create a new team with a narrative involving superpowers through different paths, but ends up rotating and falling in the same place, precisely by simply replicating the already well-known clichés, and forgetting of one's own identity (which exists, but unfortunately is never explored in the way it should have been).

Set during the Cold War period, an entity called Patriot is about to face an enemy with enough skill to bring uncontrollable chaos if he is not stopped. Given this scenario, they create a squad of superheroes made up of four members with specific abilities: a bear-man, a man who knows how to use blades in an extraordinary way (in addition to having super speed), an invisible woman and a man who can control rocks. Together, they need to join forces and prevent the world from being controlled by bad forces.

The essence of the script has a very interesting idea, because it manages to place this team of superheroes in a relatively different context compared to the superheroes that are already known worldwide because of what is done in American cinema. However, this context is never explored to the point of bringing plural elements, diving into a spiral of recycled ideas from so many other movies in the same genre. The entire movie follows a playbook full of clichés and narrative executions that the audience can already recognize with their eyes closed.

Even though in some moments there are lapses of singularity (such as some interesting camera angles that are positively boosted due to the support of the slow motion scenes, which are mostly efficient), the essence of the material is very trivial. Although it had a curious beginning, everything lost momentum as the other ideas surrounding the project began to be developed. Archetypal characters, who despite having a certain amount of charisma, are poorly explored, preventing empathy from being created on the part of the public.

The structure of the events is in no way different from American movies, and the project only manages to find a little uniqueness when it focuses on different action scenes (although there are also some moments inspired by many other similar movies). From capturing the superheroes, designing the enemy, training the team and the imminent danger... Everything is predictable. The exception is the final combat, which despite being very fast, brings a “touch of originality” by placing the squad in a completely different situation when facing the enemy.

In the cast, absolutely no name stands out in terms of performance. Everyone seems to be acting with the strength of a programmed robot, because everything is really quite automatic. Ironically, this doesn't hurt the movie as a whole, because its potential is really limited. Acting together, the performance is better, but even so, the performances are average. However, I need to point out that actress Valeriya Shkirando (who plays a sort of strategic leader of the squad) has a very strong screen presence, even though she only has a few scenes.

Regarding the more technical part, the movie has an interesting atmosphere, but the special effects (which are more reminiscent of the effects of unfinished video games) are precarious. Surprisingly, some action scenes manage to be very creative, and this helps to camouflage the lack of better CGI. The photography brings a brief glimpse of the Cold War (in a superficially scientific context), and the editing of scenes is a mix of hits and misses with good and bad moments. Furthermore, I need to mention the soundtrack, which is punctual, efficient and functional.

Director Sarik Andreasyan does a limited and well-intentioned job, but there is no way to watch Zashchitniki | Guardians and not make comparisons with other movies of the same genre, but even so, I think it is possible to have fun ignoring this fact. There is an effort by Russian cinema to deliver a product with peculiar aspects and even though this objective has not been achieved, it is not the type of material that should simply be ignored, especially because the entertainment is really legitimate, even though it is something steeped in a source which is traditional worldwide.

Sinopsis: Una organización secreta formada por miembros con superpoderes de diferentes repúblicas soviéticas debe enfrentarse a un peligroso enemigo para intentar evitar una guerra, manteniendo el orden mundial y la paz.

No me sorprende que muchas películas en todo el mundo se inspiren en referencias estadounidenses del mismo género a realizar, especialmente historias que intentan crear nuevos superhéroes. En el caso de este ejemplo (que es de origen ruso), la trama incluso intenta crear un nuevo equipo con una narrativa que involucra superpoderes por diferentes caminos, pero termina girando y cayendo en el mismo lugar, precisamente por simplemente replicar clichés bien conocidos y olvido de la propia identidad (que existe, pero lamentablemente nunca se explora como debería).

Ambientada durante el período de la Guerra Fría, una entidad llamada Patriot está a punto de enfrentarse a un enemigo con la habilidad suficiente para provocar un caos incontrolable si no se le detiene. Ante este escenario, crean un escuadrón de superhéroes compuesto por cuatro miembros con habilidades específicas: un hombre-oso, un hombre que sabe utilizar espadas de forma extraordinaria (además de tener supervelocidad), una mujer invisible y un hombre que puede controlar las rocas. Juntos, deben unir fuerzas y evitar que el mundo sea controlado por fuerzas malas.

La esencia del guión tiene una idea muy interesante, porque logra ubicar a este equipo de superhéroes en un contexto relativamente diferente a los superhéroes que ya son mundialmente conocidos por lo que se hace en el cine americano. Sin embargo, este contexto nunca es explorado hasta el punto de traer elementos plurales, sumergiéndose en una espiral de ideas recicladas de tantas otras películas del mismo género. Toda la película sigue un libro de jugadas lleno de clichés y ejecuciones narrativas que el público ya puede reconocer con los ojos cerrados.

Si bien en algunos momentos hay lapsos de singularidad (como algunos ángulos de cámara interesantes que se potencian positivamente gracias al apoyo de las escenas en cámara lenta, que en su mayoría son eficientes), la esencia del material es muy trivial. Aunque tuvo un inicio curioso, todo perdió impulso a medida que se empezaron a desarrollar las demás ideas que rodeaban el proyecto. Personajes arquetípicos, que a pesar de tener cierto carisma, son poco explorados, impidiendo que se genere empatía por parte del público.

La estructura de los acontecimientos no se diferencia en nada de las películas americanas, y el proyecto sólo consigue encontrar un poco de singularidad cuando se centra en diferentes escenas de acción (aunque también hay algunos momentos inspirados en muchas otras películas similares). Desde capturar a los superhéroes, diseñar el enemigo, entrenar al equipo y el peligro inminente… Todo es predecible. La excepción es el combate final, que pese a ser muy rápido, aporta un “toque de originalidad” al colocar al escuadrón en una situación completamente diferente a la hora de enfrentarse al enemigo.

En el reparto, ningún nombre destaca en términos de interpretación. Todo el mundo parece actuar con la fuerza de un robot programado, porque en realidad todo es bastante automático. Irónicamente, esto no perjudica a la película en su conjunto, porque su potencial es realmente limitado. Actuando juntos, el rendimiento es mejor, pero aun así, el rendimiento es mediocre. Sin embargo, debo señalar que la actriz Valeriya Shkirando (que interpreta a una especie de líder estratégica del escuadrón) tiene una presencia en pantalla muy fuerte, aunque solo tiene unas pocas escenas.

Sinopse: Uma organização secreta que é formada por membros com superpoderes de diferentes repúblicas soviéticas precisa enfrentar um perigoso inimigo para tentar evitar uma guerra, mantendo a ordem e paz mundial.

Não me surpreende o fato de que muitos filmes ao redor do mundo se inspirem em referências americanas do mesmo gênero para serem feitos, em especial, as estórias que tentam criar novos super-heróis. No caso deste exemplo (que é de origem russa), a trama até tenta criar uma nova equipe com uma narrativa envolvendo superpoderes por caminhos diferentes, mas acaba rodando e caindo no mesmo lugar, justamente por apenas replicar os clichês já tão conhecidos, e esquecer da própria identidade (que até existe, mas infelizmente nunca é explorada da maneira que deveria ter sido).

Ambientado durante o período da Guerra Fria, uma entidade chamada Patriot está prestes a enfrentar um inimigo com habilidade suficiente para trazer um caos incontrolável caso ele não seja impedido. Diante desse cenário, eles criam o esquadrão de super-heróis formados por quatro integrantes com habilidades específicas: um homem-urso, um homem que sabe usar lâminas de maneira extraordinária (além de ter a super velocidade), uma mulher invisível e um homem que consegue controlar pedras. Juntos, eles precisam unir forças e evitar que o mundo seja controlado por forças ruins.

A essência do roteiro tem uma ideia bem interessante, porque consegue colocar esta equipe de super-heróis em um contexto relativamente distinto em comparação aos super-heróis que já são mundialmente conhecidos por causa do que é feito pelo cinema americano. No entanto, esse contexto nunca é explorado a ponto de trazer elementos plurais, mergulhando em um espiral de ideias recicladas de tantos outros filmes do mesmo gênero. O filme inteiro segue uma cartilha entupida de clichês e de execuções narrativas que o público já consegue reconhecer de olhos de bem fechados.

Mesmo que em alguns momentos hajam lapsos de singularidade (como alguns ângulos de câmeras interessantes que são impulsionados positivamente por causa do suporte das cenas em slow motion, que são eficientes em sua maioria), a essência do material é muito trivial. Embora tenha um início curioso, tudo vai perdendo à força a medida em que as outras ideias que orbitam o projeto começam a ser desenvolvidas. Personagens arquétipos e, que apesar de tem uma certa quantidade de carisma, são pobremente explorados, impedido que seja criada uma empatia por parte do público.

No elenco, absolutamente nenhum nome se destaca em termos de atuação. Todo mundo parece estar atuando com a força de um robô programado, porque tudo é realmente bem automático. There are two character that makes me wanting to like ECHO, this two characters are Dare Devil and Kingpin; there are several reasons for this, first is because I remember Kingpin the most from the Spider Man cartoons so brings back memories from when I was a kid and Dare Devil I have always like the red armor suit, although in this series looks a bit over weight or short I don't know whats the deal, he is one of those super hero who has no powers, yes there is the fact that he train and develop his hearing more than anyone else although she doesn't fly or shoot lasers, we can say he is on the same super hero category as Batman and Iron Man, this two other have no super powers neither its just their brain and training so for this I really like Dare Devil plus all the stunts he pulls on every movie or TV series he is in, remember how he catch that brick on Spider-Man No Way Home?

The first episode of ECHO but it is very evident that they trying to cover a lot of ground and time will be against it, this is the first Marvel show for 2024 and I was expecting it to be good but episode one I could only give it a 7/10 at best, most of the votes on IMDB are the same and Audience acceptance over all on RottenTomatoes is very low on the 65%, I only hope that this series is not that bad, 7/10 is an OK score.

Episode one try to resume how Maya Lopez lost her leg as a kid, her family from his father side was not the most straight, it looks like her fathers last name meant trouble everywhere they go, Maya and her mother got into a bad car wreck because some one cut the breaks out of their truck trying to hurt her father or family, her uncle is The Kingpin and runs New York who stop her before she became a trouble for him and gave her a job as part of his mafia but things didn't go that well between them.

From previous videos and the trailer across episodes we are going to get more information about Maya Lopez roots, the story of how the first Choctaw people came to earth, from where she gets her power, part of their narrative on how things became to exist and their culture, that is something production and the Choctaw themself have try to communicate through this TV Series, make more people aware of their culture.

As a kid Maya had a very happy life living with her parents and having her cousin Bonnie coming home, although I wonder who is Bonnie's father? things go so fast during the episode that Bonnie arrive with her grand parents to Maya's house, I did look up online and I believe Bonnie's father is Henry Lopez, I would also assume this because latter on when Maya comes back home she look for him and had a quick talk about her plans, Maya and Bonnie were very close and they consider themself as sisters.

When Maya and her mom got into the accident this was devastate for the family, Maya lost her leg but the worst part is that she feels its her fault her mom is dead, took some time for her father to let her know what happen, Maya thinks its her fault she is dead because she wanted hot chocolate and they had to go to the store. Her father was offered a job in New York, far away from Maya's home town, the Lopez last name is means trouble and her grand mother Chula knew this, she never approve Maya's father.

One night Maya comes back to the shop and finds someone inside killing every one on the shop, if you saw the Avenger movies and Dr. Strange you will recognize him right away, besides the first time ECHO shows up on the screen was on Hawkeye's series, so cat is out of the bag, after the blip Hawkeye went rouge and start going after every possible criminal he knew, no matter the reason he wanted to kill them all, the more dangerous the mission the better, he lost his family during the blip so he was blind by rage, this most likely lead him to work with other criminals, he was not an Avenger anymore, he was an assassin, Maya goes into the shop and found her father dying after Hawkeye stab him.

After loosing her father Maya became double the trouble so Kingpin got her something to do, a purpose as he describe it, a place and a reason to keep going, she was a great fighter although was not a murder yet so at her first mission when things got rowdy she froze, didn't know what to do looking at all this guys fighting and shooting, people dying on the spot, until one of them attack her and became her first victim. During this scene Dare Devil shows up although it was nothing special about it, they had a short fight that was not impressive at all, not saying it was bad but it was not the climax of the episode.

Hawkeye and Kingpin were the climax of the episode but things start to get rush, cut, slice, the damn episode became just this scenes after scene of nothing, just indicators of what was going on so for a first episode NO BUENO, I'm not the type of guy who gives up on a series that easy but I hope this gets better, at least Maya figure out who kill her father when she finds Hawkeye and he confess it was Kingpin who gave the order.

Again, scene after scene with not much context, some how Kingpin got hurt badly and Maya was there but this time she was different and capitalize on the opportunity to put a bullet on his head or at least that is what she thought, Kingpin was not dead and now there was a bounty on her head, she goes back home and asks her uncle Henry for help but not exactly to get out of the family business but to control it, sending a message to those who work for Kingpin, she thinks its time for a Queen, she is that queen.

I think its very evident that I didn't like the first episode that much and it has nothing to do the the characters but with the story, there were events happening one after another like it was an entire flash back scene without much explanation of why some things were happening, if it wasn't for the fight scenes it would be bad, in fact even the fight scenes themself were too short, I kept wanting to see Maya fight for longer, the Dare Devil scene was also short but I cant understand it was a teaser for whats coming up and that is what I hope that once The Kingpin gets on his foot again, probably on episode three thinks start to pick up the pace and we get some context of the things that had happen so far, after all this is only a five episode mini series and I know this have been mention before on my posts but I don't want this to be another Secret Invasion event where the last episode is so crunch that send everything to shit. Event when I was going through the images and trying to build up the story it feels like there is no context to it, very little dialog with just the obvious so I didn't enjoy as much as I wanted, I wanted to have some nice looking takes from the fights scene but there were very little that I could use.

In the spirit of conclusion I have decided that there are a few series I'm going to finish before moving forward, Special Ops: Lioness is one of them, I have recently been putting out other type of content that I wanted to start cover like articles about the Film Industry, Trailer reviews and soon I'll be indexing data different but I still want to post my regular episodes recaps although they take me about four hours to do because of all the screenshots I take to put them into a "graphic representation" of the scene describing, at times it can be an exhausting hobby but I still like it or hate it depending on the day. This series moves into split episodes, things never actually get to a conclusion in a single episode, they split the story here and there and episode five is the conclusion of four and opens the door to a situation I didn't though at first but I think there is something going on between Cruz and Aaliyah, there is also the situation that Joe has been dealing with at home with her daughter Kate that got into a car wreck, part of the truth start to come out like what her daughter really thinks about her and she also came up front with the reality that she is not the best mother but her reasons have valid grounds, she is a soldier after all and Joe's husband has his own problems with that too, he can't stand been with or without her, with actually turns a bit ironic because for been with Joe that's her been on a mission she can't talk about and that is killing Neal, looks like he can't stand that situation anymore. Not much happen between Cruz and Aaliyah on this episode until the end they pick up on face time call where Aaliyah express herself/body just too much to Cruz and she notice it was too much so step back a bit, there might be a relationship brewing here but after all Aaliyah is like a bird on a cage made out of gold, she has everything she ever dream but at the same time has doesn't own anything, not even her freedom.

On episode four Cruz went to a bar to party with Aaliyah and her friends where she got picked up by a guy who was a rapist, the guy drug her and pick her up after a fight started, Joe team got to her just in time on the woods where the guy was going to finish her on the spot, Joe took care of him and make him remember that moment for ever and think twice before raping another girl, Joe almost rip his balls apart, one kick after another. He never touch Cruz but she also didn't remember a thing so she is was still confuse of what really happen but her team got there on time, well it was really close.

As I mention Joe's daughter Kate got into a car wreck, so at the moment she had to deal with Kaitlyn , Kate and Neal at the same time, traveling from one place to another, Kaitlyn took her to the hospital but made sure she didn't over extend her staying since there was business to take care of after she lend her team to Kyle, well not really her team.

Kaitlyn has been very supportive with Joe, this entire story is making me think that Joe is either the first or only Lioness that actually survive a mission, on first episode when she had to pull the trigger and drop a missile on a terrorist camp after her asset got discovered she ask Kaitlyn for advice like they have been on the same situation before and most of the Lioness doesn't make it back. While at the hospital Joe and her daughter Kate finally got that conversation that settle things between them, she is not a kid anymore, got pregnant and almost die on a car wreck on top she lost the baby, at that moment Kate went through life time experience, got her ahead in time so fast that her life has fast forward almost ten years because how she knows what is to be pregnant and loose a baby, may be she didn't go through the entire experience but for sure will never forget, Joe also comes forward and admit she is a shitty mother for not been there for her but it is what it is, she is a soldier. Lastly but still an important part of the drama Kaitlyn asks Neal not to give up on Joe, he still loves her but Kaitlyn knows its not an easy task to deal with Joe and her line of work.

Both Joe and Kyle gets their asses set on fire by Westfield, who is really the man behind the Lioness program and Kyle was something that should have never happen, Joe's team is not hers it is lend by Westfield who is way higher on the government rank but Kyle intel was good so there is still a way to cover the shit show that they did on episode four after getting Kyle informant out of custody.

After Kyle intel was confirm they get lets say "yellow" light?" they can proceed with the capture mission but can shoot back if they get attacked? it was a capture mission only all this because no weapons or explosives have been confirm so far but once the targets get to the house they got monitor Two Cups and the rest of the team saw things were getting way hotter than they thought.

This scene where the get to the house was very cool, the shooting, bit dark but it was fast and clean, after confirm guns and explosives they finally get green light so its a capture/kill mission but no body is going to capture anyone besides they lack man power, as Bobby mention its a two squad mission and they are probably out number by two, got to mention that Cruz job was on point so at least she didn't mess up, well she confirm it herself "this I know" before they went out.

Mission over, Kyle mess has been covered, Joe knows her daughter is alive but will take time to recover there are a few scars from all this, Kaitlyn thinks its a matter of time before another terrorist attack in US soil and Joe kinda mess up when she went back to the hospital, she was probably in a rush and didn't clean up her face she still had blood and softy Neal notice getting all fired up asking her if she is now a hitman, WTF?? she is a soldier he knows it deal with it, he sees blood every day at the hospital but when his soldier-wife have some on her face then he goes all drama queen?

I would really enjoy a second season of this series, from what I have found online there is actually nothing about it, the series had good rating for what it is, this is not a AAA series although came together very well, there is some cliche here and there but nothing that makes you want to shut down the TV, action scenes so far have been on point, not every episode had them but I can say episode 1, 2, 4 and 5 had been the best at least for me, all episodes have over 7.5 on IMDB.

Episode five I thought was going to be a bit softy like Neal but that action scene pick up the speed of the episode very well, the drama at home with Joe is almost done with only Neal left so I think we wont have to listen to her daughter nagging anymore how bad of a mother she is, that was very annoying for a viewer who wants to see action and not a spoil child so I think for the last three episodes action is going to pick up a lot, I hope they don't get to finish the mission yet because that would give us more chances of a second season.

Parece que es imposible no ser testigo de lo que se considera la caída o la fase oscura que está padeciendo el MCU; producciones cinematográficas y series que no terminan de funcionar o ser relevantes como sucedió en las tres primeras fases de este universo basado en personajes de Marvel Comics; actualmente cada producción presenta fallas en la historia, narrativa, CGI, dirección, actuación y es que la idea de dar relevancia a personajes pocos conocidos y que el relato de sus historias se convierta en un puente para otras producciones protagonizadas por personajes más importantes, se ha convertido en lo que en mi opinión es la enfermedad de la ya no poderosa franquicia en dónde cada estreno genera más dudas que aciertos.

La miniserie de Hawkeye fue bastante entretenida, buenos momentos, historia fluida y corta, pero con el genérico final que la convirtió en "otra más" de esas producciones del MCU que no tuvo un buen impacto; uno de los puntos que consideré como positivo fue el personaje de "Maya Lopez", que tuvo muy buen desarrollo e interpretación en su breve momento en esa historia y por eso cuando supe que sería protagonista de su propia miniserie, fue imposible no crearme expectativas que lamentablemente fue disminuyendo al presenciar el momento actual de esta franquicia. Para la primera producción del MCU de este año tenía ideado ver una historia de redención, de sanar heridas, superar traumas y por supuesto, mucha acción; algo bastante directo, pero nuevamente repito, el mal estado en escritura que actualmente posee el MCU, hace que lo simple se convierta en una suma de ideas desarrolladas de manera errónea.

En esta miniserie nuevamente sale a la palestra el asunto de ser una producción basada en un comic, esto lo digo porque no debe ser una copia fidedigna y que puede tener cierta libertad; ahora justamente esa libertad puede hacer que la historia sea de calidad o no y en esta oportunidad, creo que se tomó ideas erradas para el corto relato de la historia de redención de Maya. Puedo estar de acuerdo que cada héroe debe tener ciertos poderes para solventar un sin fin de problemas, pero lo que sucede en esta producción es algo que costó entender o conectarme y eso es debido a lo caótico de ciertas situaciones con los ancestros de Maya, esto es el claro ejemplo de como una acertada idea es muy mal ejecutada y es que es imposible tener una opinión positiva de una producción con uno de los peores guiones que he visto en el MCU.

O esforço que precisa acontecer para criar filmes é sempre considerável, mas é claro que alguns filmes exigem um trabalho mais pesado do que outros. No entanto, há sempre aquelas pessoas que acabam ultrapassando alguns limites do que seria considerado como “atitudes aceitáveis”.

Um exemplo muito claro (e atual) do que eu estou querendo dizer é o caso que envolve o próximo filme do diretor Ti West, MaXXXine, que será mais uma produção da A24. Hola a todos, como ustedes saben me gustan mucho las películas de desastres naturales, creo por la esperanza y unión que se ve durante y después del desastre, posiblemente por que mi madre estuvo en la ciudad de México durante el terremoto del 19 de septiembre 1985, el hecho de no saber de ella, solo pude tener esperanza en la vida, hasta que llegaron noticias.

El día de hoy les traigo la review de una película que se estrenó a finales del año pasado: La sociedad de la Nieve. y que esta basada en hechos reales de un trágico accidente aéreo en la cordillera de los Andes en octubre de 1972. He de decir que antes de hacer este post vi la película en compañía de mi familia, y posteriormente me dediqué a buscar otras verisiones, las cuales vi también para ver alguno que otro detalle que pudiera haber faltado en las otras.

Realmente me asombró que la primera película basada en este accidente aéreo es la película mexicana Supervivientes de los andes, de 1976, se encuentra en la plataforma de Prime, en ésta versión fueron cambiados los nombres por respeto a los sobrevivientes, si bien en ese tiempo no existía alta tecnología para hacer los efectos especiales, esta bien realizada, hay una que otra escena muy fuerte y perturbadora que posiblemente era innecesaria, en esta película muestran no solo lo vivido por las victimas, sino también por las familias que los buscaban.

La versión mas recientes y por la cual estoy haciendo esta review es La sociedad de la nieve, una producción española que se encuentra en la plataforma de Netflix desde los primeros días del año, basada en el libro homónimo de Pablo Vierci, que relata el accidente de avión en la cordillera de los andes de 1972, es increíble el parecido de los actores con los sobrevivientes, verdaderamente me trasladó a esa época y lugar, los hermosos paisajes de los andes, la estremecedora sensación del dolor y la esperanza de sobrevivir. En esta versión se usaron los nombres reales y algunos sobrevivientes reales participaron en la realización de la cinta. La fortaleza que demostraron en esos mas de 60 días fue admirable, que me hace pensar no solo en su fortaleza física por ser deportistas, sino que también en su fortaleza espiritual, el sentido de unidad y hermandad. La fotografía, maquillaje y elementos utilizados le dieron mas realismo a las escenas. Mientras veía la película eran los hechos y cada escena que me tenían absorta, por lo que en ocasiones me perdía un poco con los nombres, el imaginarme que cuando se está tranquilo de pronto pasa algo mas y no llega la ayuda, tomar decisiones que pueden costar vidas y aun así seguían luchando tratando de no decaer.

In the case of this one, despite the apparently simple plot, everything flows absolutely well (I didn't expect to watch such a fluid project), and the connections go beyond the limits imposed by the screen, reaching the viewer in a very organic way. The execution of the ideas is really great, and the basics become incredible.

From this point on, the movie dives into the minds of the characters, creating a much more intense narrative than had been shown until then (for example, in the unlikely friendship relationship between the teacher and student, and also between the teacher and the cook, until there is a plural convergence).

The Guardian

Without a doubt, The Holdovers is that type of movie that seems ordinary, but reveals itself as something extraordinary precisely because it privileges what is best in a script: its characters. Payne knows how to work with the essence of this movie like no one else and turn traditionally common stories into hypnotic plots with a very inviting content to reflect on ourselves and the people around us. The mix of drama and comedy is very insightful and the production of the project is very inspired, full of well thought out and punctuated technical details.

Dramas com pitadas de comédia geralmente precisam ser criados com histórias muito naturais. Isso cria uma redoma que facilita o processo de reconhecimento pelo público, que consegue se identificar com mais facilidade a tudo o que está sendo contado em um filme. No caso deste aqui, apesar da trama aparentemente simples, tudo flui absolutamente bem (eu não esperava assistir um projeto tão fluido), e às conexões transpõe os limites impostos pelas telas, chegando até o telespectador de uma maneira muito orgânica. A execução das ideias é mesmo ótima, e o básico se torna incrível.

Payne sabe como trabalhar com a essência deste filme como ninguém e tornar estórias tradicionalmente comuns em tramas hipnóticas e com teor muito convidativo para que haja uma reflexão sobre nós mesmos e as pessoas ao nosso redor. A mescla de drama e comédia é muito perspicaz e à produção de projeto é muito inspirada, repleto de detalhes técnicos bem pensados e pontuados.

I have to say during this crystal age we living in you need balls to take part of the bible and turn it into a movie that includes comedy, dancing, love, drama and some action. Tomorrow The Book of Clarence (2024) will be available on theaters, January 12, 2024, a movie written and directed by Jeymes Samuel, it will try to breathe new life into the biblical story set in a fictional African kingdom. Featuring a gcast led by LaKeith Stanfield, this imaginary vision of Jesus and his disciples promises a different look to the story that might create some controversy since probably a good part of it won't be close to the truth.

The Book of Clarence, set in Jerusalem in 33 AD, follows Clarence, played by Stanfield, a man who seeks to escape financial desperation by posing as a new Messiah taking advantage of the growing influence of Jesus Christ basically he is trying to copy cat Jesus for financial benefits, I guess enters most part of the comedy like resuscitating a guy and charge people for it, trailer scene. The cast is a mix of very talented and experienced artists including Omar Sy, RJ Cyler, Anna Diop, David Oyelowo who I recently watch last year play the role of a cheriff in the great TV Series "Silo", Micheal Ward, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, James McAvoy well known from Split and X-Men roles, and Benedict Cumberbatch aka Dr. Strange, just to mention part of this cast that in my opinion will be able to push this project forward, Kevin and RJ Cyler could take care of the comedy alone, those two can make you laugh for hours.

Jeymes Samuel, known as The Bullitts, is the director of this comedy. In the past Jeymes has work with several artists for example Jay-Z, Lana Del Rey and Idris Elba. His directorial debut was They Die by Dawn (2013), which set a precedent with an all black cast. For Samuel “The Book of Clarence is his first feature movie fusing his affection for biblical stories and comedy into a unique vision for the big screen, I got this from a couple of articles online, not that I'm a fan or know it all about him, if you go into his IMDB profile there is not much about him.

This movie was a global effort, with landscapes from all over the world like Morocco, Spain and Italy serving as cinematic backdrops. With a budget of $40 million, probably not much for such a movie, Samuel got him together a diverse and talented cast, aiming to inject the characters with humor, authenticity and charisma.

A couple of critics have already put their words out about how Samuel's reinterpretation of biblical characters and events and it was praised for its originality, humor, and social commentary, on review sites like Rottentomatoes the movie already have a 75% of acceptance in their Tomatometer, mostly from private reviews . They applaud its bold project from traditional representations, offering a new and more modern look at faith, identity and power, while skillfully satirizing the conventions of the biblical genre, when it comes to this kind of topic you really need to watch out where you step in to not provoke the public, this is a good thing, often satirical and skeptical movies can be controversial and the creators are worry about losing money or being the target of criticism, while audience response is divided, with some applauding its creative freedoms, appreciating its message of tolerance and love, others finding the movie disrespectful, offensive and distorting sacred scriptures and beliefs.

It seems to me that Stanfield's performance will attract a lot of audiences since is a very well known and versatile actor, some of his best work I remember him for are "Judas and the Black Messiah" who would have though, Atlanta, but recently didn't have much luck on a TV Series that I haven't watch yet "The Changeling" with very low scores. Most people will look into this movie for its comedy side but after all it seems to be more of a love story when Clarence discover the truth and peace he has been looking for submerge within all his problems. After watching the trailer I have many questions that push me into watching this movie once it hits streaming platforms, what tricks Clarence uses to create fake miracles besides common lies? What happens when they discover it?, I see people throwing rocks at someone, I guess it was him, How can he get rid of this bad image he has created for himself? During those times people were very naive I guess to follow such a lie but there are guys who are scam artist.

Based on a couple of articles online annalist predict a strong box office performance, with potential worldwide earnings exceeding $100 million, I can imagine there are very few movies around Biblical Stories and they are betting on creating a positive impact on viewers, although there is something in the back of my head telling me that this movie may not be without controversy, possibly facing criticism from religious groups calling blasphemy.

The Book of Clarence (2024) stands as a bold re imagining of probably the most known story by men, there is just something about this topic that calls for red flags everywhere you look at, its impact on the public and cultural approach remains to be seen, it has many challenges, is released in a competitive time with many other projects releasing after the 2023 big backlog of content due to the six month Hollywood Strike, this is not suitable for all audiences neither due to the type of content, I believe part of the audience will have a hard time with its acceptance.

This story caught my attention, from the beginning, because of the theme of racism, I thought it was based on real events, so I was encouraged to see it, but when I saw that it also had some mystery and terror, I was curious, so I wanted to see how it ended.

From the beginning it was understood that it was between the mother and the girl, but it turns out that the whole family was involved in this supernatural evil, without taking into account the traumas that had happened recently; on the other hand, the change between each scene, showing a before and after, the way the story is narrated, to understand each event, in my opinion, was good, because in the end, you understand everything, I like series like this.

Esta historia me llamo la atención, desde un principio, por el tema del racismo, pensé que era basada en hechos reales, por ello me anime a verla, pero cuando vi, que también tenía algo de misterio y terror, me dio curiosidad, por eso quise ver como terminaba.

Desde el inicio da entender que era entre la mamá con la niña, pero resulta que toda la familia se vio envuelta en este mal sobrenatural, sin tomar en cuenta los traumas que habían pasado recientemente; por otra parte, el cambio entre cada escena, mostrando un antes y después, el cómo nos va narrando la historia, para poder entender cada acontecimiento, a mi parecer, estuvo bien, porque a la final, quedas entendiendo todo, me gustan las series asi.
