The bridge to adulthood. Perhaps adolescence is the most investigated, represented, and perhaps idealized stage of life in our lives. It is that exact point where we stop being children and start becoming adults. This movie makes an unusual exploration of adolescence.

Because it doesn't present it in the sugarcoated way we usually associate with it, but rather presents adolescence primarily from a sensation of anxiety, urgency, and responsibilities. Right from the start of this movie, change is presented as the main obstacle to overcome, because the movie begins with a move.

Our protagonist leaves a place we never get to know and wants to arrive at another that isn't reflected in the movie either, but it is in that journey—specifically at various levels—that this story takes place. When right at a stop along the road, upon crossing an unusual gateway and past this, a bridge, fantastic events begin to happen.

And the first of these is another change. This one reflected in the attitude or, more than that, the appearance of her parents, who upon taking something that didn't belong to them, justifying themselves that when the owners appeared they would pay, find themselves transfigured into pigs. A kind of raw material for the world where Chihiro, our protagonist, is about to enter.

Following this event, she begins to slowly discover this fantastic world, full of spirits, Kamis, creatures from Japanese folklore, which she doesn't quite understand, but a world into which she must integrate with great speed, just like adolescence, which when it arrives doesn't wait for anyone. Changes are there; they happen whether you want them to or not.

To manage to reverse this curse to which her parents are subjected, she signs a contract—one that of course is not fair, like any contract, but which she sees as the only alternative to free her parents, a contract that all the inhabitants of this small world also had, one that served as a spa, a relaxation zone for this sort of gods or spirits of Japanese folklore.

The guarantee of said contract was the name of each person working here, representing this as identity and the loss of that name as the loss of your identity, something that also happens to many people when they transition through this stage of their life.

Thus, Chihiro begins to experience the changes that her life will have after this fortuitous encounter and this pact, her main ally being one of the highest-ranking servants of this place and her mistress, the witch Yubaba, who administers this place with an iron fist.

Chihiro here takes her first job, one which is helping in the bathhouses. It feels very hard at first, as is usual with these first part-time jobs for adolescents, but little by little she gains experience, one that serves her to face the challenge of attending to a spirit that reeked and which no one wanted to go near.

She, having this need to save her parents, overcomes this initial rejection that she provokes in everyone and manages, with the help of all the bathhouse workers, to extract the impurities that this spirit had, realizing that this was nothing more than a river spirit heavily contaminated by human action.

One of the central themes in the work of its director, Hayao Miyazaki, who in this work doesn't take it as the center, but always touches upon it—this defense of the environment, of nature—and which yes, perhaps is much more relevant towards the end of the movie.

After this, Chihiro is seen with better eyes inside the bathhouse and wins the approval of most of the spirits and workers of this place. Thus, when the second great event of the bathhouse happens, Chihiro finds herself involved almost from the very beginning.

A spirit arrives giving away gold, but amid the carelessness or greed of those who take it, this spirit manages to devour them and integrate them into its figure. This spirit is a No-Face, a spirit that, apparently, has completely lost its identity and searches for it with a mask and a calm that both seem equally tranquil and terrifying.

But upon Chihiro always rejecting the gold it offers her, feeling that she hasn't earned it—a thing that already makes her character clearly contrast with that of her parents—this spirit begins to try to tempt her over and over again and, upon failing to do so, far from the violence one might expect, assumes a calm that apparently it was looking for.

And with this it reverts all the people it had adored, to begin following Chihiro as a kind of beacon, a kind of light in search of its own identity, one that Chihiro, despite this contract, had not lost. Thus, in parallel, Haku's story unfolds.

He being the servant of Yubaba and fighting against a sort of spirits that try to take him away, but which we don't fully understand where they come from until Chihiro undertakes another journey, one that allows her to make Haku recover and, in turn, recover her parents.

Here, Chihiro meets Yubaba's twin sister, one who, unlike her, is indeed a benevolent witch and manages to reveal the secret so that everyone can be freed, which is to return their own name. At this point you might wonder why Chihiro cares so much about Haku, and perhaps it is the first time love blossoms, this adolescent love in her, having between them a rather discreet relationship, perhaps with this very mild way of showing affection characteristic of Asians, but which we can identify in her.

This first almost inexplicable impulse to be close to someone and to want to help them. Thus, upon her return, Chihiro finds herself in a great dilemma: the challenge of saving Haku, but in addition to this, saving her parents. For this, two things happen: the witch first makes her recover Haku's name and, in an unexpected twist of events, Chihiro manages to remember Haku's original name, which was Kohaku, a river where as a small child she almost ended up drowning, but which the river spirit himself, Haku, manages to save her from, leaving her on the shore.

However, with the passing of the years, this river was forgotten since humans dragged it over to build on top of it, being a perfect metaphor about forgetfulness, the loss of identity, and the loss of nature in its purest state.

After Haku is freed from this curse that imprisoned him, it's time for Chihiro to return with her parents, resume her path, not leave her life behind for everything fantastic she has discovered and that can captivate her so much, but rather keep growing, so that her life doesn't stop there. Among many pigs, they put her to identify which ones are her parents, and she, without hesitating, affirms that they are not among them, because yes, forgetfulness and the loss of identity can be present in each of us, but those people whom we can identify under any condition are always there, as in Chihiro's case, were her parents.

Thus she also manages to free herself from her contract and leave with them, who apparently remember nothing of what happened, perfectly closing this circle and making her continue with her journey toward her new life and with them toward an adulthood that has been earned.

El puente hacia la adultez. Tal vez la adolescencia es la etapa de la vida más investigada, representada y quizás idealizada en nuestras vidas. Es ese punto exacto donde dejamos de ser niños y nos vamos convirtiendo en adultos. Esta película hace una exploración de la adolescencia insólita.

Porque no nos la prende de la manera edulcorada que solemos asociar con esta, sino que nos prende primeramente la adolescencia desde una sensación de ansiedad, urgencia y de responsabilidades. Ya desde el inicio en esta película el cambio se presenta como el principal obstáculo a sortear, porque la película inicia con una mudanza.

Nuestra protagonista se va de un sitio que nunca llegamos a conocer y quiere llegar a otro que tampoco se refleja en la película, pero es en ese viaje, precisamente a varios niveles que se da esta historia. Cuando justo en un alto del camino y al atravesar un portón insólito y tras este, un puente, comienzan a darse los eventos fantásticos. Y el primero de estos es otro cambio. Este reflejado en la actitud o más que eso, la apariencia de sus padres, quienes tras tomar algo que no les pertenecía, justificándose que cuando aparecieran los dueños pagarían, se ven transfigurados en cerdos. Una especie de materia prima para el mundo donde Chihiro, nuestra protagonista, está a punto de adentrarse.

Tras este evento, ella comienza a descubrir de a poco este mundo fantástico, lleno de espíritus, Kamis, criaturas del folclor japonés, que ella no logra entender del todo, pero un mundo al que se debe integrar con mucha velocidad, así como la adolescencia que cuando llega no espera por nadie. Los cambios están ahí, sucedan quieras o no.

Para lograr revertir esta maldición a la que se ven sometidos sus padres, ella firma un contrato, uno que por supuesto no es justo, como ningún contrato, pero que ve como la única alternativa para liberar a sus padres, contrato que también tenían todos los habitantes de este pequeño mundo, uno que servía como un balneario, una zona de relajación para esta especie de dioses o espíritus del folclor japonés.

Garantía de dicho contrato era el nombre de cada persona que trabajaba acá, representando este como la identidad y la pérdida de ese nombre como la pérdida de tu identidad, algo que también les pasa a muchas personas cuando transicionan por esta etapa de su vida.

Así, Chihiro comienza a experimentar los cambios que tendrá su vida después de este encuentro fortuito y este pacto, siendo su aliado principal uno de los sirvientes de mayor rango de este sitio y su ama, la bruja Yubaba, la cual administra este lugar con brazos de hierro.

Chihiro aquí toma su primer trabajo, uno que es ayudar en los balnearios. Se le hace muy duro en un principio, como es normal estos primeros trabajos de medio tiempo en los adolescentes, pero poco a poco va ganando experiencia, una que le sirve para enfrentarse al reto de atender un espíritu que apestaba y al cual nadie se le quería acercar.

Ella, al tener esta necesidad de salvar a sus padres, supera este rechazo inicial que le provoca a todos y logra, junto a la ayuda de todos los trabajadores del balneario, sacar las impurezas que tenía este espíritu, dándose cuenta de que este no era más que un espíritu del río muy contaminado por la acción humana. Una de las temáticas centrales en la obra de su director Hayao Miyazaki, que en esta obra no lo toma como centro, pero siempre lo toca, esta defensa del ambiente, de la naturaleza y que sí, tal vez sea mucho más relevante hacia el final de la película.

Después de esto, Chihiro es vista con mejores ojos dentro del balneario y se gana el visto bueno de la mayoría de espíritus y trabajadores de este lugar. Así, cuando sucede el segundo gran evento del balneario, Chihiro se ve envuelta casi desde un principio. Un espíritu llega regalando oro, pero ante el descuido o la codicia de quienes lo toman, este logra devorarlos e integrarlos a su figura. Este espíritu es un Sin Cara, un espíritu que, al parecer, ha perdido completamente su identidad y la busca con una máscara y una calma que ambas parecen igual de tranquilas y aterradoras.

Pero al Chihiro rechazar siempre el oro que este le ofrece al sentir que no se lo ha ganado, cosa que ya hace que su personaje se contraponga de manera evidente a la de sus padres, este espíritu comienza a intentar tentarla una y otra vez y, al no conseguirlo, lejos de la violencia que uno podría esperar, asume una calma que al parecer estaba buscando. Y con esta revierte todo las personas que había adorado, para comenzar a seguir a Chihiro como una especie de faro, una especie de luz en busca de su propia identidad, una que Chihiro, a pesar de este contrato, no había perdido. Así, en paralelo, la historia de Haku se va dando.

Este siendo el sirviente de Yubaba y luchando contra una especie de espíritus que intentan llevárselo, pero que no entendemos del todo de dónde vienen hasta que Chihiro emprende otro viaje, uno que le permita hacer que Haku se recupere y, a su vez, recuperar a sus padres.

Acá, Chihiro se encuentra con la hermana gemela de Yubaba, una que, al contrario de esta, sí es una bruja benevolente y logra revelarle el secreto para que todos sean liberados, que es devolverle su propio nombre. A este punto se podrán preguntar por qué Chihiro se preocupa tanto por Haku y quizás es la primera vez que florece el amor, este amor adolescente en ella, al tener entre ellos una relación bastante discreta, quizás con esta forma tan leve de asertos los asiáticos, pero que podemos identificar en ella.

Este primer impulso casi inexplicable por estar cerca de alguien y por querer ayudarlos. Así, a su vuelta, Chihiro se ve en una gran disyuntiva: el reto de salvar a Haku, pero además de esto, salvar a sus padres. Para esto suceden dos cosas: la bruja primero hace que esta recupere el nombre de Haku y, en un giro inesperado de los acontecimientos, Chihiro logra recordar el nombre original de Haku, el cual era Kohaku, un río donde de pequeña casi termina ahogándose, pero que el propio espíritu del río Haku logra salvarla, dejarla en la orilla, pero que con el pasar de los años fue olvidado este río, ya que los humanos lo dragaron para construir por encima de este, siendo una metáfora perfecta sobre el olvido, la pérdida de identidad y la pérdida de la naturaleza en su estado más puro.

Luego de que Haku se viera liberado de esta maldición que lo aprisionaba, le toca a Chihiro volver con sus padres, retomar su camino, no dejar su vida atrás por todo lo fantástico que ha descubierto y que la puede cautivar tanto, sino seguir creciendo, que su vida no se detenga ahí.

Entre muchos cerdos la ponen a identificar cuáles son sus padres y, esta sin dudarlo, afirma que no están entre ellos, porque si el olvido, la pérdida de identidad puede estar presente en cada uno de nosotros, pero siempre están esas personas a las que podemos identificar bajo cualquier condición, como en el caso de Chihiro, fueron sus padres.

Así logra ella también liberarse de su contrato e irse con ellos, quienes al parecer no recuerdan nada de lo sucedido, cerrando de forma perfecta este círculo y haciéndola continuar con su viaje hacia su nueva vida y con ellos hacia una adultez que se ha ganado.

Almost 40 years ago—in the late 80s—Bloodsport premiered, becoming one of the most iconic and defining films for a whole generation. Starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and a young Forest Whitaker, this martial arts movie is undoubtedly a standout in the genre; even today, if I were to look for something to watch, I would happily choose it without a second thought. Countless films in this vein have been released over the years, yet few measure up—not necessarily due to cinematic quality, but because of what the original represents and the nostalgia attached to it. Lion Fist, a film released just recently, aims to emulate that classic in both substance and style; the question is whether it fails in the attempt or actually manages to be a watchable movie. For me, the answer is quite clear.

Hace casi 40 años, a finales de los 80, se estrenó una de las películas más referenciales e icónicas para una generación, "Bloodsport". Este film dedicado a las artes marciales y protagonizado por Jean-Claude Van Damme y un joven Forest Whitaker sin duda ha sido de las grandes películas del género, incluso si hoy en día la buscara para verla sin pensarlo la vería feliz y contento. A lo largo de los años siguientes han salido muchísimas más películas de este estilo pero pocas le llegan a esa, no por lo buena sino por lo que representa y por la nostalgia. Lion Fist, este film estrenado hace días, pretende ser algo parecido a aquel clásico tanto en su fondo como en su forma, la cosa es que si fracasa en el intento o por lo menos es algo que se puede mirar. Y para mi la respuesta es bastante clara.

Joe is a man who spent five years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. In prison, he was a calm, respected, and honorable guy—the same man he is now that he's free. He leaves prison hoping to rebuild his life, but receives news that shatters all his plans and stability: his son has a brain tumor and needs a $50,000 operation. The boy's mother—a woman consumed by drugs and poor choices—starts pressuring Joe for the money, leading him to wonder if it’s all a ruse and if she actually wants the cash for drugs. To make matters worse, she is involved with a guy (the worst actor I have ever seen) who is a drug lord and leaves a lot to be desired as both a man and a human being.

Joe es un hombre que estuvo preso 5 años por un crimen que no cometió. En la cárcel fue un tipo tranquilo, respetado y honorable; el mismo hombre que es en libertad. Sale buscando reorganizar su vida pero recibe una noticia que le tumba todo plan y estabilidad: su hijo necesita una operación de 50 mil dólares, tiene un tumor cerebral. La madre, una mujer consumida por las drogas y las malas decisiones, es la que comienza a presionar al bueno de Joe por el dinero a lo que él empieza a dudar un poco sobre si todo aquello será un teatro y en realidad el dinero lo busca para las drogas. No conforme con eso ella está de pareja con un tipo, (el peor actor que he visto en mi vida), que es un capo de la droga y que como hombre y persona también dejan mucho que desear.

Time is running out, and he needs the money. Joe learns that an underground martial arts tournament is taking place in the city, offering a $100,000 prize. He certainly has the motivation—he’s doing it for his son—but he needs to hone his skills, so he seeks out Master Wu for training. Wu is the classic tough, taciturn coach who can take you down with just two moves learned at a temple in China. And make no mistake, this is the real deal—the martial art he practices is the famous Wushu. From this point on, Joe’s journey to improve and win the tournament begins. Running parallel to this is a drug-related subplot that adds a touch of depth to the film—much like the police storyline in Bloodsport. Look, I get that these kinds of movies don't demand top-tier acting—after all, it’s mostly about being in shape and knowing how to move on screen—but the casting for some of the roles was pathetic. And yes, I’m talking about Brice Akuesson; I’ve since read that he isn't even an actor.

El tiempo corre y necesita el dinero. Joe se entera que en la ciudad habrá un torneo de esos clandestinos de artes marciales el cual tiene como premio 100 mil dólares. Motivación no le falta, aquello lo hace por su hijo, pero si necesita pulir habilidades y para eso busca entrenarse con el maestro Wu, el típico entrenador duro y de pocas palabras que te derriba con dos movimientos que aprendió en un templo en China. Ojo, todo esto es real como el hecho de que el arte marcial que maneja es el famoso Wushu. A partir de acá comienza el camino de Joe para mejorar y lograr ganar el torneo. En paralelo hay una sub trama con el tema de las drogas que le da una ligera profundidad a la película; justamente igual que en Bloodsport con aquel par de policías. A ver, yo entiendo que este tipo de films no requieran un nivel de actuacion supremo porque al final es solo tener condición y saber moverse en pantalla, pero el casting que hicieron con algunos actores fue patético. Y si, hablo de Brice Akuesson, que leyendo veo que no es ni siquiera actor.

Even though the story focuses on the fights, these movies still require at least a minimum level of acting, and that guy ruins the entire experience whenever he appears on screen. The structure is far too similar to Bloodsport—the background music, the relationship between Joe and his master, the tournament setup featuring fighters of various styles, and even the camera shots are very much alike. I realize many people haven't seen that classic, but those of us who have can clearly see the intention to mimic it. The fight scenes range from decent to mediocre. Action actors need to know how to fall and take a "hit" properly, yet here, there are noticeable flaws in specific instances. Of course, not all the fights are that bad; there are some quite decent, enjoyable ones, but overall, everything is very basic.

Por más que la historia se centre en las peleas, hasta en estas películas hace falta un mínimo de actuacion y ese tipo daña toda la experiencia cada vez que aparece en pantalla. La estructura es demasiado parecido a Bloodsport, la musicalización de fondo, la relación entre Joe y su maestro, la estructura del torneo con peleadores de mucho estilos, hasta las tomas son muy similares. Entiendo que muchas personas no hayan visto este clásico pero para los que si nos dimos cuenta que la intención de ser algo parecido es muy evidente. Las escenas de peleas son decentes tirando a regular. Los actores de acción tienen que saber hasta caer y recibir los "golpes"; acá en casos muy concretos se ven fallos. Claro, no todas las peleas son así de malas, hay una bastante decentes y que se disfrutan pero en lineas generales todo es muy básico.

The film aims for a solid plot featuring a couple of likable, endearing characters—in fact, the master himself turns out to be one of them. The master's daughter acts as a sort of bridge between Joe's sensitive and violent sides, providing balance to the whole story; there’s also a good friend whose bond is forged in loyalty and honor. I won't dwell on the acting—it’s not really that kind of movie—though I would have liked a bit more depth from certain characters. So, is it an insult or a tribute? A director and their team always aim to create something entertaining and cool, even if it doesn't always work out. I should clarify that the "tribute" angle is just my own theory, based on the strong resemblance between the two films. That said, I think the quality could have been better; I enjoy these kinds of movies for the punches, the blood, and the mixed martial arts. While this film has all of that, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. You might watch it and end up liking it, though—after all, taste is subjective. That’s why I encourage you to give it a watch. It runs for exactly an hour and a half. I’ve included the trailer here.

La película trata de tener una buena trama con par de personajes suaves y entrañables, de hecho el mismo maestro termina siendo uno de ellos. La hija del maestro es una especie de catalizador entre el lado sensible y el violento de Joe, es la que da el equilibrio a todo y también está el buen amigo producto de la lealtad y el honor. No voy a hablar de las actuaciones porque no hace falta, no es un film para eso pero si me hubiese gustado ver un poco más de nivel con ciertos personajes. Entonces, es un insulto o un tributo? - la intención de un director y su equipo siempre será la de hacer algo entretenido y cool solo que a veces no funciona. Aclaro, todo esto del tributo es un invento mío por el gran parecido que hay entre las dos películas. Dicho esto, creo que pudo haber sido algo de mejor calidad, estas películas me gusta verlas porque son golpes, sangre, artes marciales mixtas; acá hay de todo eso pero no llegó a cumplir mis expectativas. A lo mejor tu las ves y te termina gustando, los gustos son subjetivos. Es por eso que te invito a que la veas. Hora y media justa. Les dejo el tráiler por acá.

‎Animated movie lovers, here comes "Luca" ‎This movie makes me like animated movies more. ‎Let me say a little about the story: Luca was a sea monster. One thing about Luca is that he was curious about the human world. ‎

‎When he met Alberto, another sea monster who had been living on his own, Alberto showed Luca that whenever they came out of the water, they would look just like humans. That gives Luca courage. Luca leaves the sea with Alberto, and they travel to Portorosso. Their dream is to get a Vespa, so they can travel around the world. But the plan wasn't exactly as they wanted. So they met Giulia. And she was preparing for a local race. And so the three of them became friends and decided to compete together. This is because Luca loves to experience things around the human world. But again, Luca also hides something: the fact that he is a sea monster. Luca actually needs to avoid water because water can transform him into the monster that he is. ‎

‎This makes the movie very interesting because he can go back to the water, and he can also survive in the human world. ‎ ‎There is a boy, Ercole. He always wins the race and humiliates people if possible. As the competition gets closer, Luca and his friends have to overcome Ercole. ‎ ‎The friendship between Luca and Alberto was so real. At first, they were very close to each other, like brothers. But Luca was interested in knowing more about the humans. ‎

‎And I learned something from this movie. Fear can actually stop someone from experiencing new things. Because in the movie, Luca has parents, and the parents were afraid of the humans, making sure that no one discovered their secret. The interesting part of the movie again is how Luca and Alberto were hiding their secret from humans. They go through difficulties. ‎

‎Through their struggles, I learned that fear can stop someone from experiencing new things. In the movie, Luca was not scared, but Alberto was afraid of losing him. ‎ ‎The ending was emotional for me; I really cried 😢 ‎ ‎When the race was ongoing, their secret was exposed. Everyone there knew they were sea monsters, and they were angry and decided to chase them away. But Giulia stood up for Alberto and Luca; she defended them as a friend, and I love that they didn't run away, but stood and faced the situation. ‎

‎And so Luca and Alberto had to go their separate ways. After the race, Luca decides to go to school in Genoa with Giulia, while Alberto stays in Portorosso with Massimo and starts a new life with him. When Luca leaves by train, Alberto comes to say goodbye, and even though they are sad to separate, they are both happy about the new lives they are starting. ‎

There’s never been anything quite like a song that pulls at your heartstrings, reminds you of your personal journey through life’s incessant emotional difficulties, including a gut-wrenching heartbreak, and somehow comforts you in the same vein. Dolly’s “What a Heartbreak” track successfully does that for every person who understands what it means to have been hurt in an unimaginable way.

Written and released in 1984 for her film titled Rhinestone, this song found its way into the favourite lists of many, particularly hers. And when it was re-recorded in 1991 for her album "Eagle When She Flies' and yet again in 2002 for the 'Halos and Horns' album, it continued to steal hearts.

The track starts with a guitar-led acoustic that sets an emotional tone for the song before ushering in her melodic voice, which begins with a strong storytelling inclination that happens to be one of Dolly’s greatest fortes.

The song explores the painful realization of the disconnect between the wishes and innocent assumptions of a genuine lover and the painful deceit led by someone whose love initially felt pure and true. The lyrics tells a great, resonating story of everyday happenings, where we all start out most of our romantic relationships with uncertainty, but in the middle of it all, we find a lover smothering us with sweet words to believe that we can make it work as long as the sun continues to shine.

It’s no doubt that this pattern of convincing wins people over, enough to leave their hearts open for love, only to be met with the disappointment of what could’ve been. And this is where Dolly’s words shine brighter.

According to Dolly, Love isn’t always what it appears to be. and that's one of the most honest things I've heard all my life. This line leaves you thinking about how many perspectives there are to love. Maybe for some, it’s all fun and games. For others, it’s a commitment that is played by the rules, and for a few, it’s a forever affair that stands the test of time. Whichever one, these perspectives are often reflected in the way people treat those they claim to love and also in the way others process hurt and healing.

"What a Heartbreak" is the kind of song that leaves you wondering how lucky you might be to not have been fooled like the rest, and what more chances you have to get it right with a lover whose promise of warmth and loyalty stands to be tested by time.

Dolly sings in the first person in this track, and that alone makes the song a relatable and almost unforgettable one. It makes the listener feel like the performer, crying out their pain in words while being accompanied by the chords of the guitar.

These lyrics make the emotional weight of the song heavier, and Dolly’s vocal strength shines through it all, making it an equally pleasant listening experience.

The most poignant thing about the storytelling in this track is how much it captures the disappointment and vulnerability of a hurting soul yet retains its melody through it all.

Something else I enjoy about this song is that the guitar strings do not overpower Dolly’s voice. Instead, they complement it to give a wonderful performance.

For this song, I'll say it’s evergreen. It serves different generations because, though I wasn’t born in the 1990s, the lyrics have resonated powerfully with me and also carried me through what beauty country music holds, even in a world that is evolving to prioritize other newer genres of music.

My weakness happens to be good music, and I don’t doubt that I may be unable to find a dark spot in most country recordings. So you know I’m rating this too beautifully. My only grudge would be that this track wasn’t made longer because I would've loved to listen to it a lot more, with unending melodious lyrics.

The movie Wuthering heights, featuring Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, talks about how complicated love can be sometimes. It tells the story of two lovers, who deeply loved each other, and were later affected by social class, personal choices, lack of communication, pride and revenge.

The movie centers on , Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, who both started off as friends when they were both young. As they grew, they became inseparable and loved each other deeply despite their differences in backgrounds and social class. Catherine had expectations, she wanted a more comfortable life and social acceptance and this, would later create a barrier between her and her lover.

Heathcliff on the other hand, started off as a vulnerable young man who even though he knew he had nothing, no class, no social status, nothing at all, he still loved Catherine. She was his safe space, she made him feel like he wasn't alone, she gave him a sense of belonging .Even when Catherine chose social status over him, though he felt deeply betrayed, abandoned, and hurt, he was still obsessed with her and, this obsession later turned into resentment.

After Catherine choose Edgar over Heathcliff, she planted a seed of hatred in his heart. He made it his life's mission to ruin her life and make her feel the pain he felt. He worked really hard, elevated his social status and later became an important person in the society and when he returned, he was no longer the vulnerable, poor helpless orphan they once knew. He changed to a completely different person.

Catherine later learnt the hardest lesson of her life. Her actions portrayed that a person might have it all but still be unhappy deep down and sometimes before we realise the extent of our mistakes it becomes too late. It's better to be happy and have little than to have every material thing and still feel lonely. Love is a beautiful thing and should always come first before everything else.

Another important thing to be learnt in the movie is, communication matters in every relationship. If they had communicated about how they truly felt about each other and how to make their relationship work out regardless of circumstances, they would have understood each other better. Catherine wouldn't have been so eager to marry into a family with high social status because she felt like Heathcliff would remain a poor servant boy forever.

Their inability to communicate at the beginning of the movie, later grew into resentment that ended badly for both of them. In the end, the pride, hatred and the revenge wasn't worth it. This shows that love isn't the only thing that matters in a relationship, in order to build a healthy relationship, there must be ingredients like, understanding, strong communication, trust, respect, honesty and a lot more.

Wuthering Heights might be full of ups and downs, pride, revenge, unresolved pain that later ended up in bitter lessons, but it is a very realistic movie. It explores the darker side of relationships. People only talk about the lovey-dovey side of love, without touching other important things.

Love isn't always easy, you might love each other but still not end up together due to one thing or the other. Sometimes, you feel overwhelmed, sometimes you make hard decisions regardless of how bad it hurts, sometimes love isn't enough. So, Wuthering Heights touched other aspects of love and from the lessons, you learn things to avoid and things to build in a relationship.

I hope so you all are doing well 😀

Mostly people getting bored from series as they think it's too long and take too much time and they prefer to watch movies which can end in 2 to 3 hours but I'm opposite in thix case as i love to watched movies but i enjoyed series too as they keep me engaged with the story.

As you know I'm watching The last kingdom which is about to finished now but still have a story to complete. Today I'll discuss the major events of Season 4 as this season is little different to watch because we can see a change in Uhtred Alliances but it's a story of loss and Gain again. Image source

Uhted's Fight for Bebbenburg!!!

At the start of the season Uhtred thinks now thing's are better at Winchester so he should go back to fight and fight for Bebbenburg to get back what is his. And as he hasn't any army so he asked from King Edward to give him 1000 Men to fight on Bebbenburg and he reject to help him by saying This is not the right time.

Here I feel sad for Uhtred like he helped him when he needs and Edward simple reject to help.

But Uhtred and his man find a way to fight to back the Bebbenburg and Uhtred asked for help to his Son but his son isn't fond of him because Alfred wash his brain which now Uhtred have to suffer but hos son agree to help him. Only ten men go to fight for Bebbenburg which is obviously not look like a good deal.

We make plans but it doesn't mean things always happens according to our plans and so happened with Uhtred because when they reach to Bebbenburg his uncle's son come in front to fight and even he killed his own father and claim to be the Lord of Bebbenburg and Uhtred wasn't ready to faced this so he have to retreat. Emotional moments for Uhtred!!!

He doesn't hurt much because he can't get back his homeland but the thing which hurt him the most is the death of Father Beaoca as he died during fighting by saving Uhtred Son's life. Father Beaoca was a Holy man but he have to leave his body where nobody knows him and Uhtred know he's the man who always there to support Uhtred and to Uhtred he's his whole family.

After the death of Father Beaoca, Uhtred seems emotional like now he doesn't even want to fight for anything, he thinks he lost everything and there's no reason to live because there's no home for Uhtred as mo one will waiting and support him after Father Beaoca. Image source

Uhted's Man or friends!!

In this season, i really like the roles if Uhtred friend who always there to help him even Uhtred can't give them anything like silver or Land but they serve Uhtred. They talk happily and support him every time and sometimes become his hope too. Those four men's of Uhtred are the symbol of true friendship and loyality which Seems lovely.

Lady Aethelflead story!!!

Lady Aethelflead which is king Alfred daughter has major role in this season again as his husband is going to die and people suggest that they find a suitable match for Aethelflead daughter which will become the Lord of Mercia but she's too young to Mary and this time Lady Aethelflead has to show herself again that she can't give her daughter to humiliate after marriage just like she was humiliated by her husband. So, she successfully saved her daughter with the Uhtred help hehehe Uhtred always there to support her because of a love connection with respect in both of them. King Edward decides that Uhtred will become the New Lord of Mercia but Lady Aethelflead think Uhtred is a good Man but not good for Mercia and she told this to Uhtred too. Uhtred make his mind and with his help A lady become a Lord of Mercia.

People of witen doesn't want a Lady to rule but at last she become a Lady of Mercia and that scene was so beautiful when she's walking on the road.

Eidth's role!!!

Eidth is actually new in this season as she's the Aethalred mistress who remain with him, while people say she's a whore and her brother wants to become the king of Mercia after death of Aethalred. When she saw that her brother is a man of ambition and only do what he wants and he using her own sister too. Image source

So, Eidth took a stand for herself and he leave her brother because he's not a good man a start to help Uhtred and Lady Aethelflead to save the Mercia. I like her bravery because she's the one who save them many times and choose wisely and i really want a good end of her story in next season but let's see.

Uhted's daughter!!!

With New role of Eidth, Uhtred daughter who's about 16 or 17, she seems very clever like her father and she's the girl who knows how to handle the situation just like her Dad knows Seems like she got her Dad traits but her role was also entertaining. Image source

Final thoughts!!!

Every season is different from other, although it's about love, war and revenge but it becomes interesting with the season move forward. Next season will last and I want that Uhtred get his Bebbenburg back but now he start to think Bebbenburg isn't his destiny and that's why he failed every time but i want that spirit of getting is back arise again and they'll do a good ending just like the whole season was good.

I started watching when Puss got to his last life because I never expected the movie to become this serious so i had to go back and start again.

Puss had already wasted eight of his nine lives because of how fearless and careless he was. The huy treated danger like it was part of his daily routine. But after losing his eighth life, he finally realized that he had only one life left.

He went to the doctor and was told to retire, but Puss didn't want to accept that. He wanted to find the mythical Last Wish so he could restore his nine lives and become the same fearless Puss he had always been.

Perrito was one of the funniest parts of the movie. But the character that really got my attention was the Wolf. Their is something I really like about that wolf. Maybe it's his aura.

Puss ay first, thought he was just another enemy trying to stop him from getting the Last Wish. But the more they met, you can see how terrifying puss become. Eventually, Puss realized that the Wolf was death him self.

He was Death.

The way Death followed Puss throughout the movie made every encounter feel different. Puss wasn't just fighting another enemy. But he was running from the one thing he had spent his whole life ignoring.

The realization has a soft landing.

Puss eventually understood that he didn't need nine lives to make his life meaningful. He only needed to stop wasting the one he had left. The movie because very emotional at that point.

There are songs that you like because of their beauty, and then there are songs that somehow capture the feelings that you never thought were capable of being verbalized. ‎ ‎For me, "Beautiful Things" by Benson Boone is one of these songs.

And that is exactly why I think so many people connected with it. ‎ ‎From a difficult life to beautiful things ‎ ‎ Billboard ‎ ‎The song starts with Benson reminiscing about his past life. It was not easy before, but recently his life has turned around for the best. ‎ ‎I think this is a feeling that many of us can connect with. The life can be harsh sometimes.. We face problems, disappointments, financial issues, family problems, heartbreaks, and many other situations that make us wonder when will everything finally get better. ‎ ‎But it can. ‎ ‎Sometimes, after facing difficult moments, you look around one day and realize that nothing in your life is the same anymore. ‎ ‎And it is exactly what Benson seems to be feeling in this song. He finds beautiful things in his life, especially a girl he loves... and his parents love her too, and he feels that his life has been completed because of her. ‎ ‎And instead of just enjoying that, there is also another feeling that quietly blooms inside him: it is the feeling of "What if I lose all of this?" ‎ ‎Gratitude mixed with fear ‎ ‎ Yahoo

‎This is probably my favorite part of the song. Benson is truly grateful for what he has. He is not just happy for his blessings... He is almost overwhelmed by them. ‎ ‎He thanks God for them, appreciates the people around him, and realizes how much better things have become. ‎ ‎It reminds me that sometimes we spend too much time thinking about what we do not have that we forget about what we already have in front of us, such as our loving family, people that stay around us, our healthy children, food on our table, and even a simple day without a major problem. ‎ ‎These things may seem normal when having them every day, but it can be some of the most beautiful things in life. After he moved to Los Angeles, he could not sleep one night. He had his grandmother's old piano in his new house, so he went downstairs and played it. This inspired the first ideas for the song. He later worked on it with Jack LaFrantz and Evan Blair. ‎ ‎The song was also inspired by a new relationship.
