It's a movie I did see years ago but probably didn't have the full appreciation for at the time. Not understanding much about the housing markets and the financial crash of the time it didn't really catch my interest that much.
To me the plot about the investors conviction is the real story. The few people that were on the right side of the market and backed their positions when everybody else told them that it wouldn't happen.
The people who looked beneath the hood and saw what was really going on. People and banks laughed at them when they bet against the big institutions but they had done the research and knew what was coming down the road.
They did the research and found that the whole market was propped up by fake numbers and easy credit. A lot like crypto projects being propped up by hype and marketing. Big numbers get thrown around for these projects that have nothing under the hood.
I feel the same way about Hive and Leo as well. So many projects are hyped up with nothing to show for it while we have one of the best blockchains in the industry with leo building one of the best layer two projects on it. Even with Leo price going 10x lately it's still not crazy in terms of value. The team have been building for six years have delivered real projects and have a working business with leodex that will hopefully prop up the eco-system for years to come.
They always give the fable about the gold rush where the people who were the most successful were the ones selling the shovels and tools.
The fable about "selling shovels in a gold rush" isn't a traditional fable but a business aphorism rooted in the California Gold Rush of the 1840s–1850s. It illustrates a strategy for profiting during a speculative boom by providing essential tools or services to those chasing the primary opportunity, rather than directly competing in it.
During the Gold Rush, thousands flocked to California seeking gold, but most prospectors faced slim odds of striking it rich due to competition, unpredictable outcomes, and harsh conditions. Meanwhile, entrepreneurs who sold shovels, picks, pans, and other supplies to miners often made consistent profits. These sellers capitalized on the guaranteed demand for tools, regardless of whether individual miners succeeded.
Crypto is a boom and bust industry. Some tokens can make you millions but most fail within two years and cost people large sums of money. Luckily Hive has survived and developed over these years but finding ways to make money by providing services to other tokens is the only sure fire way to be successful.
Leodex is providing tools to swap tokens at a small price with holders profiting form the swaps. If they can scale up and keep developing the product as well as offering more services then they could become very profitable.
The lesson is to focus on the reliable, less glamorous opportunities that arise during a frenzy. Instead of chasing high-risk, high-reward ventures (like gold), provide what everyone needs to pursue their goals (the "shovels"). This strategy emphasizes stability, scalability, and leveraging demand without being exposed to the same risks as the primary speculators.
The price of the Leo token isn't the focus and the price of other tokens doesn't matter as long as people are using the service and swopping between projects. That will inadvertently impact the price of Leo positively as more money is generated to buy back the token and remove it from the markets.
Not a guarantee but if the team can keep building core products that people want to operate in the crypto industry then a very good bet. They have had failures in the past with defi and product building but this time seem to have a good business model that should keep adding value to the eco-system and the Hive eco-system by default.
I'm betting on it anyway and won't be shaken from my position which i think has another 10x in it over time.
After a long break, I finally found some time to watch something, and I decided to spend it on the series I've been most excited about in recent years, Squid Game. The reason I'm sharing this post in this community is because I was invited to a previous event by @yeouido.park. I was too busy to attend at the time, and I almost couldn't make it this time either, as today is the last day. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this event happen. Events like this on Hive are very important for community engagement.

I mentioned how excited I was to watch the first season of the series, but the second season was a disappointment for me, and my expectations for the third season were really low. The series failed to exceed my expectations. They tried to build excitement in the first few episodes, but in my opinion, the second and third seasons should have been released together as a single season. The most positive aspect of the third season was the games in the series. There were unexpected and interesting games, and surprising results. From here on, there will be minor spoilers, so I’m warning you in advance.
I mentioned that there was something I didn't like about the series in the second season, and I said I would explain it in the third season. This was the attempt to glorify and portray the transgender character in a positive light. I'm not a homophobic person, but in today's series, transgender individuals are always portrayed as angels of goodness, and I don't like that. In the third season, this angel of goodness continued her actions and sacrificed herself to protect a baby. Would you sacrifice yourself for a baby? Later, another angel of goodness, an elderly woman, killed her own son for the baby. I want you to try to empathize a bit. Would you kill your own son for someone else's baby? Or would you sacrifice yourself? I'm very undecided on this issue; I think I would decide based on how I felt at the moment, but right now, I feel like I would sacrifice myself.
As the number of people decreased in the later episodes, the groups became clearer, and people chose their sides. The scene where the baby's mother sacrificed herself was truly touching because she also knew she couldn't continue the competition. But no one expected the baby to take her number and continue the competition. This might be the biggest twist in the series for me. Everyone had a rough idea of what would happen until the final game, but unexpected things also occurred. For a moment, I thought the baby's father would sacrifice the baby. Because he didn't seem like a selfless person and had been thinking only of himself until the very end.
In the final game, Gi-Hun, the baby, and the baby's father remained. The baby's father asked Gi-Hun to give him the baby, and it was difficult to guess what was going through his mind at that moment. But Gi-Hun did not give up the baby and managed to get to the game area in the last second. A major fight broke out between the two, and it seemed like the one who survived would win the game—provided they sacrificed the baby. Who do you think won? To find out, you'll have to watch the show because I won't give away any more spoilers. At the end of the series, as you all saw, it was revealed that the series will continue in the new season, and this time the games will be played in America. I'm also very curious about the games that will be played in America.
Meanwhile, of course, the police officer couldn't uncover the island where the games were being played. The captain first misled him and then kept him occupied by killing the people around him. Even though he reached the island at the last moment, the front man caused the island to self-destruct once the games ended, and everything remained a secret.
As for my final thoughts and rating on the series, I think this season deserves a score of around 5.5 to 6 out of 10. There were very few surprises, everything happened as expected, and it failed to excite me as much as the first season did. Seasons 2 and 3 felt like an attempt to milk the popularity of something that was already popular. When the first season was so successful, Netflix and the producers must have been rubbing their hands with excitement. The first season of every successful series is the best. At least we know that the same lead characters won’t be in Season 4 because the series will be set in America.
Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments. See you in the next post and event!
When we talk about the DB universe, one of the conversations that always comes up is the one about its openings, since there are many, and they're all well-known and beloved by everyone. But there's one problem, and it's also been a bitter battle: language. Although they're melodically the same, the way we perceive them varies greatly depending on the language we hear them in. For us in Latin America, the best version is the Latin version (due to nostalgia), but the Japanese version doesn't bother us either, at least not for me. Today I'd like to rank the three best OPs in the vast world of Dragon Ball.
- We Gotta Power - Dragon Ball Z
The voice of all these OPs is from the great Adrian Barba, a guy who has been with all of us throughout our childhoods. "We Have the Power" is the second DBZ opening that begins approximately in chapter 200 with the start of the Majin Buu saga and everything leading up to it with the martial arts tournament and the appearances of Babidi and Dabura. I came from having the "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA" deeply internalized; in fact, I know that song backward and forward, and it has great sentimental value for me. But then this one comes along, which I think is a little more melodious and perhaps calmer, and it ends up catching my attention. The thing about these songs is that almost all of them are full of messages of courage and facing fears with bravery, but this one in particular is DBZ's farewell, hence its lyrics saying "the power is ours and we will be forever Dragon Ball Z." I think I always end up leaning towards the OPs that seem more musical to me.
- Cho-Zets☆Dynamic - Dragon Ball Super
Something happens with DB Super: I didn't see it in Latin, I saw it in Japanese, so the first time I heard this was in its original language. It's true that we already have it in Latin, and listening to it reaffirmed my decision to include it in this top 10. This OP is the first of the Super, which goes from chapter 1 to 76. Personally, I'm sticking with this one because the song is very powerful and because there's something in the musicality that ends up hooking me more than the second one. The lyrics are cool because they talk about a new beginning where you have to look to the future and face the gods that stand in your way. Many may disagree with this choice because perhaps they haven't seen DB Super, but from the first time I heard it, it stuck with me. The choice of such a powerful and striking OP for what the return of the saga meant had to be a top-notch choice, so they got it 100% right with this one.
The best opening in Dragon Ball in all its sagas, canon or not, is this one, and there can be no argument about it. What's truly magical about this song is its beautiful message. It's not the most explosive or the most moving, but it is the most delicate and emotional of all. A Dragon Ball song that speaks openly about love, a sort of declaration where the person is invited to take the other's hand and together escape from an "immense darkness," regardless of whether it's reciprocated or not. I think you can give it any context you want; it applies to love, but it could perfectly well be friendship. I'm not a huge fan of GT, but you have to admit that this OP broke everything. Listening to it in Latin or Japanese generates the same effect, and I think that's another factor to take into account. If a melody manages to activate things even if you don't understand the lyrics, half the work is done, and that's what happens with this song. One of the best openings in all of anime. If you have another favorite, leave it in the comments!!!

Let me tell you first that this is not a spoiler, and neither will I ever write any spoilers because the stories that I am going to talk to you about are so stunning that I want you all to watch them yourself and enjoy the feeling of settling those dramas into your heart. :)
The Sandman, season one, what to say. It's like someone gave you a big, fancy comic book and said, "Read this, but don't just read the words, look at the art." And then you're like, Okay, let's see, and you start watching, and the first thing that hits you is that the show is a visual treat. It’s like a really expensive and dark painting that someone animated and put on Netflix. The aesthetics, the costumes, and the settings are quite good. It's truly a beautiful dream to watch.
But then, you look at our hero, Morpheus, or Dream, or Sandman, and the vibe turns gloomy, man. He's walking around like someone told him he can’t have extra cheese on his pizza for a hundred years. LOL! With a jawline that could cut glass and a hairstyle that defies gravity, his default expression is a pout. He's got this whole "I'm the lord of all dreams, but I'm also really, really sad about it" look going on. Although his sad look is understandable as long as he is captured, but even after he is freed, seeing him in the same state will make you feel like giving him a tissue and telling him that everything will be fine, friend, but then you remember he’s an immortal cosmic being, and his suffering is probably deeper than the problems in your life.. It's almost funny how committed he is to that one expression. 😆
The first few episodes are a bit slow. When Morpheus finally escapes after 100 years, his first instinct is not to throw a party but to go searching for his stuff. He's like the fantasy world's most emotional detective, trying to find his sand, his helmet, and his ruby. I myself was thinking that a god's powers lie in his inner self and not in his things. Thankfully, this was clarified for Sandman in the subsequent episodes as well. This whole first half of the season is just him going from one mystical place to another, and it's all very well-shot. One thing that I did not like is that the role of Lucifer in this drama is played by a female actress. This felt weird because a few years ago I watched a US drama called Lucifer, which was really very good, but the point is that Lucifer in that drama was male, and in Sandman, it is female. I mean, come on, at least the genders should have remained the same. Anyways, when he goes to hell to meet Lucifer, played by Gwendoline Christie, the whole "who is more powerful" fight felt more like a debate competition than a battle for the ages. "What is the one thing everyone wants that I can't give them?" "Hope!" "Okay, you win. Bye." It was a bit anticlimactic, no?
And this brings me to a question that was nagging at me: why is a god of dreams so powerful and important? I mean, are we supposed to believe the guy who controls our nightmares is more of a big deal than, say, the god of death, or the god of destiny? It's like the guy who runs the local cafe suddenly gets the same treatment as the country's president. Coffee is important for sure, but is it that important? It's a fun thought to chew on while you're admiring the stunning visuals. 🍿😎
The show is a series of stories, which is good, but sometimes it feels less like a coherent series and more like an anthology. The episodes with Dream's siblings, especially Death, are priceless, of course. The episode with Death is a masterpiece it's beautiful, heartwarming, and sad all at once. The episode with the man who refuses to die is also amazing. But then you have this whole arc about the Corinthian, a nightmare with teeth for eyes (that was so good), and a woman Rose Walker who is the Dream Vortex. Though visually impressive, that part of the story feels a little overdone, as if they were trying to fill the episode with more plot than necessary.
The casting, though, is on point. Everyone is fantastic. Tom Sturridge, despite the pout, is perfect for the role. The Corinthian with his teeth for eyes is scary and suave. And the Indian actors, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Asim Chaudhry, as the two quarrelling brothers, Cain and Abel, are a joy to watch. They feel so normal and grounded in a world of super serious, immortal beings. It’s a nice touch, a little bit of home in a world that is so dark and gloomy.
In conclusion, The Sandman is a visually stunning and well-acted series. The pacing can be a bit of a snail race at times, and our hero's persistent sadness might make you want to send him to a stand-up comedy show. But if you're a fan of deep, philosophical fantasy and can appreciate a show that's a feast for the eyes, then this drama is a truly enjoyable watch. It’s a dream, but a slow and sleepy one.

So, this right here is my drawing of Okarun from Dandadan. I decided to draw him in that bold, high-contrast manga style because it really matches his energy sharp, intense, and just a little bit chaotic. Okarun’s one of those characters that instantly stands out to me, not just for how he looks, but for what he represents.
If you’ve watched Dandadan, you know Okarun starts off as this shy, awkward guy who gets picked on, who doesn’t have much confidence in himself. But after that crazy encounter with Turbo Granny, everything changes. He gains these insane powers, yeah the speed, the strength, the wild white hair but what I like most is that his courage grows with every fight. He doesn’t suddenly become fearless; he’s still scared sometimes. But he steps up anyway, and that’s what makes him a hero.
I wanted my drawing to capture that version of Okarun the one who’s in the middle of battle, grinning through the chaos, ready to take on whatever’s coming. The mix of his cursed form and that determined personality just makes him such a unique main character. That’s why I chose him. And honestly, characters like Okarun are why I love anime they remind you that even if you start off small, you can grow into something powerful if you keep going."

Ken Takakura was never the kind of boy who stood out. To most of his classmates, he was just “that weird kid” who buried himself in magazines about aliens and the paranormal. They called him Okarun a teasing mix of “occult” and “kun” but Ken never minded.
That all changed the day he met Momo Ayase. She was everything he wasn’t bold, sharp tongued, utterly confident and she couldn’t stand his alien obsession. He thought ghosts were nonsense, she thought aliens were a joke, so they struck a challenge: prove the other wrong. It should have been harmless fun. Instead, it became the night that turned Okarun’s life upside down.
A visit to a cursed tunnel brought him face-to-face with Turbo Granny, a vengeful spirit who ripped the breath from his lungs and left something behind a dark, boiling power that clawed at the edges of his mind. Overnight, Okarun changed. His hair turned white, his eyes burned with an unnatural light, and his speed and strength became inhuman. He could leap across rooftops, vanish into phone lines, and sense the invisible horrors lurking between worlds.
But power came with danger. Each fight against yokai, aliens, and the grotesque supernatural forces drew him deeper into a life he never asked for. And yet, through it all, Momo stood by him not because she saw a hero, but because she saw Ken.
Together, they battled curses, unmasked ancient spirits, and faced truths far stranger than either had imagined. Somewhere along the way, the awkward boy who hid in the shadows became something else someone braver, stronger, and maybe… someone who could finally believe in himself.
Okarun’s story isn’t just about monsters and ghosts it’s about finding your place in a world that keeps telling you you don’t belong. And if you stick with him, you’ll see: even the quietest, most overlooked person can become the loudest force in the fight against darkness.
And a huge shout-out to a big supporter of mine💯 @ocdb 🥺 i really appreciate you💝 for all your support🤗

The other day while I was looking for something to watch on Netflix I came across a very interesting movie. I don't normally look for animated series or movies but since Netflix offers the option to watch a small preview or fragment of a scene, that allows you to have a bit of context and that's how the plot of this movie attracted me, since in a certain way it reminds me of my deaf/mute nephew and that's what made me have a connection with the story.
Ishida is an elementary school student, mischievous and seemingly limitless, as he begins to bother the new girl in class, a girl who also has hearing problems and therefore cannot communicate as everyone else would, he bothers her and makes fun of her until the girl decides to change schools, however, as time goes by Ishida feels ashamed and tormented by the way he treated his classmate and decides to try to fix his mistake.
Just like I told you, I felt a special connection with this movie from the very beginning because in a certain way I have seen that situation up close, how much it cost my sister to accept the fact that her son was deaf and mute, in fact it broke my heart when she said that she would never be able to hear him call her "Mom" so taking into account that the situation is already quite cruel for the person born with the condition, it is doubly cruel that others bother them for a situation that they cannot control, and in that, parents and teachers, that is, authority figures, play a very important role, they should explain to children that there are people with different conditions and needs in the world, that making them suffer is aberrant. For that reason I like that there are these types of stories that help people put themselves in the victim's shoes since the film offers us several points of view of bullying, in fact there is a very strong scene where Ishida pulls out the girl's earpiece and causes bleeding in her ear, that made me very sad but it is necessary for you to see how cruel an action like that can be.
Therefore, the film shows in a crude and realistic way what the consequences of bullying are and how much it can affect not only the person bullied, but also the bully. It is an abominable practice that undermines people's self-esteem, their confidence, and their relationships with others. Fortunately, Ishida begins to see everything he was doing from a more objective point of view, and that has a great impact on him. I remember that even his mother felt ashamed by the times he destroyed Ishida's hearing aids. But throughout the beginning of the film, we can see how she, tremendously resilient, always responds to aggression with great nobility, offering her unconditional friendship to those who intend to harm her, which speaks to her purity of heart and makes you feel powerless when seeing all the abuse she is subjected to, being such a vulnerable being.
I like that the film handles inclusion in a completely organic way, something that Disney apparently doesn't know how to do, in this way strong social themes are addressed in a realistic context and without resorting to the resource of usurping an already established character, no, this is the story of a deaf girl and she always was, I also like that it also addresses the theme of redemption and the importance of forgiveness in order to heal.
Thank you for your attention. I hope you enjoyed this review and analysis of a film I'd love for you to give a chance to. See you another time, God willing.

After watching 28 Years Later I have been having a bit of a zombie itch returning, and that's really unlucky given how dead of a genre it is after The Walking Dead ended up sucking up the remaining brains of whatever that genre had left. Since then, it feels like the genre itself has just died off from starvation. Nobody is really making anything for it anymore, and even within the realm of video games it seems that few are deciding to create stories within such worlds. I didn't want to watch something I had already seen, and I knew that watching anything that I hadn't already would likely result in something relatively mediocre. But I stumbled across 2024's Outside which tells the story of a family escaping a zombie outbreak by running off into the countryside and moving to a farm. From the synopsis I wasn't sure what to expect but it held some decent reviews; though I had a feeling that this would be a film that's less about the zombies and more about the survivors and the type of people they are and once were.
Now, I don't mind this. The setup of a zombie outbreak can be metaphorical in ways, but also just serve as a reason for a family to have to pack up and escape their routines and move into a place in which they end up spending more time together. Where they rely on each other more, with survival being something that stresses each person out as they attempt to pull their own weight somehow. And this is where a character's true colours can come out. So, jumping into this film completely blind with no trailers watched and a small synopsis read, this is pretty much what I was assuming I'd be getting myself into. But I do also want to add that this was a fun film to check out coming from the Philippines. I don't think I've really watched much from the region before, with most of my Asian cinema viewings coming from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and China. This also means the film is in the Tagalog language.
For a Netflix film that sits under the horror genre, I'd have to say I was really impressed with some of the directing in the film. The use of camera movements more as a POV was really immersive, giving us this feeling as if we were often roaming through the environments as the characters we were following, not soon after turning around to reveal that character and se how they themselves are reacting to the surroundings. Their careful steps and worried faces, the use of minimal sound to convey that lack of knowing what awaits them in each room. This is pretty much how the film starts off, and it's a very creative and powerful introduction. I think it's good when a film can use its surroundings and minimal sound to tell its story, not entirely relying on dialogue to do so, and that certainly added to some of the world-building here. Another addition is how the zombies are portrayed: often speaking a language, still holding some aspects of their regular life. A bit more emotional and haunting compared to the usual portrayal of emotionless zombies.
A nice addition to this story is not just the attempts at survival though, but the drama that is held within the family even at the end of the world, where constant threats lurk at every corner, within every shadow. To go anywhere is to risk death, yet the family maintain their personal issues with each other that stem from a lack of trust before everything went south. A mother that appears to have a history of cheating, arousing suspicion in the husband, which can't seem to accept any of it. There's a tension in the air to begin with, heightened by their inability to really connect and trust each other in this world. Particularly in how the father treats one of the boys, which implies he's not the real father to begin with. This drama definitely adds to things, it's nice to see a bit of focus on the human aspect of people attempting to survive a zombie outbreak and not just the usual generic narrative of survivors.
Another thing is that the concept of a scorched Earth in which society completely crumbles, for some it can be considered a second chance. Where the shackles of modern day have been released, and people are finally free from the struggles they once faced: the work obligations, the debt owed from financial pains. For some in the previous world, the collapse is a chance for people to start over. To take some of the free land and grow from there.
I've watched so many Korean dramas and there was this part of these drama "Tomorrow " that really got me. This drama Tomorrow is a deeply emotional and thought-provoking Korean drama that goes beyond entertainment. It delivered a powerful messages about mental health, life, and the human spirit. It has a unique premise and compelling characters and this series leaves a long lasting impression.
The drama was set in the afterlife, the story follows Choi Jun-woong, who becomes a temporary employee at the Crisis Management Team while he was still in coma. It is a group of grim reapers tasked not with collecting souls, but with saving people who are on the verge of ending their own lives, preventing them from committing suicide. It adds a fresh and meaningful concept twist to the fantasy genre of a grim reaper as the tradition is reversed.
Kim Hee-sun role shines as the strong and empathetic Goo Ryeon, bringing depth and heart to this role while Rowoon delivers a heartfelt performance as Jun-woong, whose journey of growth and compassion mirrors the viewers’ emotional rollercoaster. Every episode worth the time spent on it as each of the episode focuses on a new case which shed light on topics like depression, PTSD, bullying, grief, and more and they are all handled with sensitivity and respect.
The message the drama pass across is that every life matters, and even in the darkest moments, there is hope. It's a reminder that mere kindness, understanding, and support can save lives and this is what truly sets Tomorrow aside and make special.
Tomorrow is not just a drama but also a healing experience. The cinematography is visually striking which blend the real world and supernatural worlds seamlessly and also the soundtrack perfectly complements all the moods, enhancing every emotional moment without being overwhelming.
You can check it out and you won't regret watching it because your time won't be wasted.
Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
Hello everyone!
I'm @sila01. I would like to discuss a famous Japanese anime with you today The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious. It is a rearing comedy which was initially released in 2022. Very simple indeed is the story. A boy whose name is Yuri and whose new maid is called Lilith. Lilith is rather sultry, occasionally one cannot get her actions. In such a way, Yuri gets interested in her. Slowly they turn into good friends and later on they develop a beautiful relationship.
The story of The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious is very simple and straightforward, but that's what makes it fun. Yuri, the main character of the series, is the son of a wealthy family, who lost his parents a few days ago. A big void has been created in his life, because he has to live alone without his parents. His family brings in a new maid, Lilith, to take care of him. Lilith is a very mysterious girl. She does everything perfectly, cleans the house, cooks, takes care of Yuri, but she has a secret hidden inside. The more Yuri sees Lilith, the more he finds an interesting, mysterious behavior in her that makes Yuri wonder again and again, is this girl really an ordinary maid?
Lilith's behavior is sometimes very strange and interesting. Sometimes she is very elegant, and sometimes she suddenly becomes a little childish or funny. Yuri wants to understand her, and that effort continues throughout the series. Along with this, Lilith's relationship with Yuri develops into a slowly developing friendship and at least a fragmented romance.
It is classified as a Slice of Life and Romantic Comedy series. Which is basically a story of a relationship between two people through small everyday events. Sometimes it entertains with laughter, and sometimes it brings tender moments where the characters become sincere towards each other.
This anime was a very interesting experience for me. The impression that was created from the first episode was a little different. At first, there was a strange distance between Yuri and Lilith, but an unwanted attraction gradually developed between that distance, which made me quite interested.I think the biggest plus point of the anime is its balance of comedy and romance. Sometimes Lilith's behavior is so romantic and interesting that the mind is deeply involved in their story. And sometimes her strange little hints, like suddenly getting shy or showing some funny reaction, make the anime very lively.
The character of Lilith is really very strong. She is not just a maid, she has a different personality. Her mystery confuses Yuri, as well as makes the viewer curious. Her perfect work and sometimes 'strange' behavior are the main attractions of this series. And Yuri's character is also very well developed. He is not a modern hero; rather, he is a bit straightforward, like a human being. His perspective and thoughts make the anime's story more realistic.
Another good aspect of the series is its art style. The character designs are beautiful, the background and the use of colors are very refreshing. Sometimes, the small funny expressions make the anime more interesting.
However, there is also a feeling of sadness in some parts of the series, especially when thinking about Yuri's family situation. The depiction of the death of his parents and his subsequent loneliness is quite touching. So the series is not just for laughs, but also gives some deep thoughts.
If anyone has seen this, please comment below and share your thoughts. We can discuss this great story together.
Thank you everyone! 😊

Hello everyone, dear Movies and TV Shows community, I hope you're all well, as you can see, this time I'm here to give you my honest opinion of a series, and well, my people, make yourselves comfortable, bring yourselves a coffee, because today we're going to talk about Yellowstone... and seriously, where the hell have I been all this time? I know, I know, the series is YEARS old and everyone was talking about it, but I just got around to watching it and... wow! Seriously... wow, I just binged everything there is available and I'm still sort of processing it all, my head racing... First of all, have any of you seen it yet? Or are you thinking about getting into it? Because, honestly, the hype does have its reason to be, at least for a good part of it, I had heard little things, I saw it mentioned everywhere, I even saw some sports commentators discussing it live once... to give you an idea of how HUGE this series became, especially over there in the United States, from what I read, it became the most-watched series over there, with some crazy numbers!, like 12 million people watching the season premieres... and its rating on IMDb is very respectable... so, when I started, I said, 'okay, this has to be good, right?'
The plot goes more or less like this: it focuses on the Dutton family, led by the patriarch, John Dutton - played by Kevin Costner, who kills it in that role, seriously! He even won a Golden Globe for it, well deserved! They own this ridiculously HUGE ranch in Montana, crazy big! The largest in the US they say, the whole show is basically about their constant and pretty brutal fight to keep that land… it’s been in their family for generations, and literally everyone wants a piece of it… we’re talking real estate developers, corporations with tons of money, the neighboring Native American reservation which is led by a super cool chief with his own stories and legitimate grievances, even those pesky Californians who keep moving in… it’s a non-stop pressure, from all sides!
But the problems don’t just come from the outside, no way! The drama within the family is just as intense, or maybe even more so. John Dutton has children… well, he had four… the oldest, Lee, seemed like the most like him but… well, let’s just say he doesn’t last long in the story, then there’s Jamie, the lawyer son, super intelligent but what a complicated guy!, always caught between what he wants for himself and loyalty to the family… and THEN there’s Beth. Phew, Beth Dutton, played by Kelly Reilly, is a force of nature, a tough, brilliant, no-nonsense businesswoman who comes back to help her dad fight for the ranch.
And Casey, the youngest son, an ex-Navy SEAL who’s trying to balance his own family with the hustle and bustle of the ranch… the dynamic between all of them, especially John with his children, and that explosive argument between Beth and Jamie… is pure fire! Seriously, the story between them is murky, dark, and their first encounters are some of the most tense scenes in the series... that's what hooked me, I think. They sell it as a western, and yes, the Montana landscapes are spectacular! Beautiful... the mountains, the plains, they make you want to pack up everything and go there, the whole cowboy lifestyle, the horses, the cattle herding... things that I thought would bore me but not at all, they make it seem incredibly cool and even attractive, who would have thought! But it's much more than a simple western... I would describe it as a "western soap opera", like a good soap opera but with cowboys, it has that addictive thing of "Oh my God, what's going to happen now?!"
There are twists and turns in almost every episode, betrayals, tests of loyalty, violence that can be quite graphic, and then boom! Moments that leave you breathless. It feels like The Sopranos or Succession, but on a ranch. They operate by their own rules, bend and break laws, and do whatever it takes to protect what’s theirs. Nothing is off the table! My girlfriend and I were so close! The first season was… okay? a little slow maybe, just finding its rhythm. But the second and third… wow, incredible. There was one day, I swear, we spent like half a day just winding up. You finish an episode, look at the clock – it’s like 1 in the morning – and you know you should go to sleep, but you just look over at your partner and they’re like, “…one more, huh?” Before you know it, it’s already dawn and you’re trying to see if you can get another one in before real life calls.
Okay, so a big part of why you get hooked on this show, at least for me, was Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton... I mean, Rip, the ranch foreman, loyal to John Dutton to the death, a tough guy... and his vibe with Beth is... the best, they're my favorites, super intense, complicated, loyal to each other in their own twisted way... they just crack up on screen! But really, the whole cast is incredible, right? Costner's like the mainstay, obviously, but Kelly Reilly as Beth, Cole Hauser as Rip, Luke Grimes as Casey, Wes Bentley as Jamie... even characters like Lloyd, the ranch veteran! They all add their own special touch, and the show also delves into some interesting themes, you know? like the whole American Western vibe: freedom, being yourself, that toughness, fighting for what’s yours… but it also touches on the clash between the old and the new, caring for the land or building more, political moves, family legacy, betrayal, loyalty… it gets into a lot of things, and for a while they did it really well, without it seeming like they were lecturing you or that it was boring.
Buuuut… and this is where things get weird, and maybe that’s why I was hesitant to get into it before… it seems like it didn’t always maintain that high level, for me, around the third season, going into the fourth, the quality kind of started to go down, the writing, which was so good, so powerful, started to feel… I don’t know, weird? Repetitive? Even weak, I would say... that heavy fight between Beth and Jamie that I was telling you... at first it was captivating, it came from real pain, but four seasons later, it's the same round of threats and backstabbing over and over again, and the truth is, it's started to tire me out a little. Like, okay, okay, they hate each other, we get it! Can we continue with something else? and other characters seemed to go around in circles or the plot mistreated them just to create drama, there's a character, Monica, Casey's wife, who basically something horrible happens to her every blessed season, some trauma, depression...
After a while it felt like too much, you know? honestly, people on the internet say that she fast-forwards her scenes, and now I kind of understand them a little... that also dragged Casey's character down. Even Beth and Rip, when they were more relaxed as a couple, lost a bit of that dangerous spark that made them so great. Then, it seemed, the writers liked Beth so much that... they started making copies? Suddenly, other super-capable, sharp-tongued women appeared who felt like "lite" versions of Beth, whose only differences were their hair color or which "team" they played for... it felt like they took the easy way out, really.
¿empezaron a hacer copias?
Well, the main story, the plot itself, also kind of started to get stretched out a bit too much, you know? At first, the first few seasons, you had super-clear villains you could believe, the guys they wanted to build up, Chief Rainwater, the Beck brothers, who were actually scary! But later on, things felt less focused. Season 4 really kicked off after that crazy ending in Season 3, but then it kind of started to digress. It felt like that central "us against the world" struggle was lost a bit, that vibe that made the first seasons so exciting, and Season 5, well, the first part at least, felt even more like a slow-burn political drama, kind of like a family soap opera, and with the same threat from that corporation that's been nagging us since Season 3... seems like people noticed, huh?
They say the ratings went through the floor in that first half... it went from being one of those nail-biting shows to having, I don't know, 10 or 15 minutes of something really good in each hour-long episode, and the rest was just so-so. On top of that, add in all the behind-the-scenes nonsense now, like Kevin Costner is leaving or already left before the final episodes, or maybe there's a beef with the creator, Taylor Sheridan... Sheridan, by the way, is the one who created the show and, watch out!, it seems like since season 3 he started writing all the episodes himself... if you look at the list of other things he has in the works - like other shows and movies, the spin-offs like 1883 and 1923 (which I haven't seen, but they say they're good) - he took on too much at once... maybe Yellowstone, the main series, the original, started to pay the price for that. So, after all this, what's my final verdict? Is Yellowstone worth watching or not? Look, despite the drop in standards in recent seasons and all the off-camera noise...
I still think so, especially, especially!, the first three seasons... it's really good television - it hooks you in, it's spectacularly filmed, the acting is top-notch, with characters you'll love, hate, and root for, sometimes all at the same time, it's like an epic saga, kind of chaotic, violent, and even has its weird romantic touch. The thing is... it's infuriating, you know? It's frustrating! Because it was SO good, I'd easily give it a 9 or 9.5 out of 10 at the beginning... but that drop in the quality of the writing in the later seasons lowers the rating, overall, I think I'd stick with an 8/10. It's still better than a lot of stuff out there, and the good moments it had were great... you just have to be mentally prepared for the fact that towards the end it loses a bit of steam, it slows down a bit... and well, that would be all for today, we'll see you soon... take care of yourselves, bye!

This follows the story of Ben Whittaker, a 70-year-old widower portrayed by the famous Hollywood actor Robert De Niro, who becomes a senior intern at an online fashion company founded by Jules Ostin, portrayed by another famous Hollywood actress, Anne Hathaway.
The film explores themes of intergenerational relationships.
Jules was initially hesitant about the idea of hiring and accepting a senior or older intern in the company.
However, Ben's wisdom and experience, despite his age, prove valuable to Jules and the other younger employees.
This is such a heartwarming film showcasing a beautiful friendship and work ethic between two generations that creates trust, respect, and care for each other.
I love Jules and Ben's chemistry as colleagues, as best friends, and as a family. I also love the scene when Ben and his younger colleagues help Jules break into her mother's house to delete the nasty email she accidentally sent to her mom. That was so hilarious.
I love how Anne Hathaway portrayed the struggles of a successful woman balancing her work and her personal life with so much authenticity. That was so inspiring.
This is really a good film to watch. Beyond its insightful themes that can warm our hearts, this is also a feel-good story that teaches us generational wisdom and not to judge people by their age, but to accept and respect them.
You will also adore and fall in love with Jules' daughter here. You'll see and understand if you watch this movie. She is such an adorable and charming kid like her mom.
This is a must-watch movie for both the young and older generations, so I hope you'll give it a try and take the time to watch this film. I promise you that this is a good one and is totally worth your time.
I'll just end it here, and thank you for reading my post.
God bless you all...🙂🙏❤
