The movie is about when Dora Marquez embarks on a mission with her monkey, Boots, and her friends to rescue her missing parents and solve the mystery of a fabled city of gold.
It begins Deep in the Peruvian jungle, 6-year-old Dora, daughter of jungle explorers Cole and Elena, spends her days going on adventures with her monkey friend Boots, her 7-year-old cousin Diego, and imaginary friends Backpack and Map while thwarting Swiper the thieving fox.
One day, Diego, and his family leave for Los Angeles while Dora and her parents remain searching for the hidden inca city of gold, Parapata.
After 10 years of exploring, Cole and Elena decipher the location of Parapata. They choose to send a now 16-year-old Dora to Diego's high school in Los Angeles, so she can be with kids her age while they travel to the lost city.
Staying with Diego's family, She meets fellow students Sammy and Randy. Sammy sees her as a rival due to her intelligence, while Randy develops a crush on her.
She enjoys her new life, but Diego is embarrassed by her eccentric behavior; it culminates in mocking and name-calling by some of their classmates when she publicly dances to a conga song at the school dance.
As Diego walks off, She tries to comfort him, but Diego says that she is no longer in the jungle, which leads to a fallout between them.
The following day, on a class field trip to a museum, Dora, Diego, Sammy, and Randy are lured to its off-exhibit archives, where they are captured by mercenaries led by Powell, who fly them to Peru.
Meanwhile, When they land, a man named Alejandro, who claims to be a friend of Dora's parents, helps them escape. In the process, the mercenaries, aided by Swiper, steal Dora's map.
Alejandro reports that Dora's parents have gone missing, and the mercenaries are searching for them in hopes of getting into Parapata to steal its treasures.
She resolves to find her parents first with Alejandro's help, while Diego comes along to look after her, with the other teens tagging along in hopes of being rescued.
The group travels through numerous obstacles, including quicksand, Inca ruin puzzles, hallucination-inducing spores that turn them into animated characters in the style of the original cartoon and attacks from forest guards of Parapata.
During the journey, Sammy warms up to her and becomes nicer to everyone. Dora and Diego eventually reconcile, and she notices he has a crush on Sammy.
After numerous hazards, Dora reaches her parents just outside the borders of Parapata, but Alejandro reveals he was the mercenaries' leader all along and captures them.
Boots appears and helps the teens escape. Boots helps Dora find her confidence, and she resolves to find the way inside Parapata to acquire the treasure, so they can use it to bargain for Elena and Cole's release.
Furthermore, Inside the hidden city, Dora and the others solve its temple's puzzles and dodge its traps, bringing them to the central shrine.
Alejandro, having secretly followed them, arrives as the group reaches its final test. He thinks that the gold is the right answer against Dora's warnings, but fails and falls into a trap.
The soldiers guarding Parapata, having apprehended Dora's parents and the mercenaries, confront the teens.
Dora speaks to their queen in Quechua, assuring that the kids only came for her parents and to learn.
Dora figures out the answer to the test and the Incas allow her and everyone to have a single glimpse of their greatest treasure, until Swiper appears and steals the smaller idol, thus angering the gods.
Find out what happened next on Netflix after the swiper appears and the steals the smaller idol as the movie gets more fascinating.
Thanks for reading my content.
I probably wouldn't have watched this movie if it was all about me, but since I have kids, I decided to let this be the movie of the week selection (last week). I had some doubts before the movie started. It had an age rating of 7, and I wasn't really sure if this would be scary or not. After all, the first three Harry Potter movies are all rated with a 7-year rating, but I guess many of us agree that it could easily have been a 10 or 11 rating instead.

But, the first thing I can tell is that the Dora movie was quite harmless, and I believe it can quite easily be watched by people aged 7, at least if their parents are near and can help them digest what they see. Nothing was really scary in the movie, but to kids, it will often help them to have a parent next to them.
And also, it is way more fun for the kids to watch the movie if they have seen Dora the Explorer, the cartoon series first. As you see the monkey and the fox, and the backpack, you will not really understand the point of it all, if you haven't seen the animated series first.
Eva Longoria plays the role as Dora's mother in the movie.
Dora has two parents who are out there looking for treasures. But, they are not treasure-hunters, they are only discovering hidden artifacts, cities, and more. Now, they have a clue about a lost city of gold, but they do not bring Dora with them. Instead, Dora is sent to a normal school. This is almost like when Crocodile Dundee was sent to New York (a big culture crash). But, she is taken captive with some "friends" and together they are setting out to find Dora's parents and the lost city of gold!
The story is nothing special, but as a children's movie (or a teenager movie), this works quite well. It is funny at times, it has some mild action, and it is interesting to see how the story will progress and move on. It is also built strongly on the animated series, meaning that we even get to see the animated characters at a later stage in the movie.
My kids enjoyed it, and to be honest, it was actually quite amusing. Not a movie I will remember for a long time, but as a movie for kids aged 7 or more, this is quite good!
My score: 6.5/10
Based on my knowledge, this movie can currently be streamed on Netflix in Lithuania and in Russia. That is nice, but even though I know a lot about how to change your Netflix region, I don't know any way to access those countries. But, if you are satisfied with the animated series, then you can find it on Netflix in Canada.
Have you seen this movie? How did you like it? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Today I have a unique adventure style movie for fans of action and adventure movies
The film is a fantastic work and continuation of the TV series of Nickelodeon's Dora Adventures. The movie, Isabella Monier, stars "Dora" in the adventure,
Adventure films have a special taste and great fun and are my favorite kind of real we have today Dora, which we will spend with her unlimited fun in the jungles where she spent her childhood in the jungles made her lose her passion She fully integrated into society but was sent to high school so that she could integrate more with society and get out of the life she spent in the jungle. Unfortunately, the plan did not go well since Dora's father was lost on a secret mission, and now it is her turn to return to the jungles to save him. Michael Peña will join Eva Longoria, playing the parents of our ambitious heroine, who decided that their teenage daughter should integrate more into the outside world by enrolling her in high school to gain more skills and forget her life spent in the jungle, but it seems that the jungle girl will remain so. But when Dora's parents disappeared while searching for the lost city, Dora decided to try to solve the mystery and to start searching for maps and tools with the help of a group with her and to provide us with a great adventure.

The film is very simple and contains many positive messages, from which the fact that the print will prevail in the end. And that arrogance and stubbornness lead to failure. The film also represents a positive social situation for us, as Dura's parents had a role in pressing Dora to go to high school But when they disappeared, I found that she had a great mission, which is sacrifice for the sake of the parents. The movie puts a smile on all of our faces with its cute and wonderful characters. We will witness the pursuit of some children in addition to many scenes of humor and fun. Where will be our favorite adventure her mission successfully. Team spirit and cooperation with others to achieve goals, communication, kindness, courage, curiosity and perseverance.
The cinematography in the film is very impressive, although the film is a simulated cartoon series full of shots and effects However, we noticed that the movie had a distinctive character though, so the actress Isabella Monier played a wonderful role in the embodiment of our heroine, Dora. The film is filled with visual pleasure of colors, lighting and great natural shots. I advise you to watch this movie as it will take you to another world of pleasure and beauty.
