hello, friends how are you? Hope everyone is well. Wishing everyone good health. There are many epidemics around, everyone will try to stay healthy in their own place.
Friends, I am a movie lover, I try to watch movies whenever I get time, be it from any country, if I like this movie after seeing the trailer, I try to watch that movie, if it is not my language, no problem, any movie has its own character. Today I saw a movie one of the best movies in Bollywood although it didn't do much business its trailer was amazing.
Today we bring you a different kind of movie. whose name is Gangubai. It is a Hindi movie. Where many big stars including Alia Bhatt acted. You will be happy to know that India's film star Ajay Dev has also acted here. The film shows how women live in a brothel and their life stories. Alia Bhatt is an ordinary woman. Her lover lures her into love and sells her to a brothel.
Alia Bhatt has to endure a lot there. Many types of torture were done to him. His time passed through many hardships and dangers. In our society, brothels are viewed differently. The main attraction of this movie is the dialogue. You can call this movie an educational movie. There is a lot to learn from here. You will understand how a beautiful life turns into hell. Alia Bhatt has acted beautifully. And not to mention Ajay Dev. Basically, Hindi films are not doing so well these days. But I like this picture a lot. Sacrifice is meant in the film. It implies that everyone has equal rights in society.
At one time Alia Bhatt took charge of the brothel and promised to provide a beautiful environment the brothel and fought to prevent any kind of bad deeds from happening there. Make sure that no other girl like her is wasted. You can see the picture. You can watch this movie with friends or with your loved ones. Better not to watch it with your family as this movie has some language that should not be watched with a family. I really liked the movie.
We never look favorably at those who work in brothels in our society but they are also human beings and we should not look down on them. Stay well everyone, I will come to you soon with some more beautiful movies, till then stay with us.
Hello dear Hive community, today I come to talk to you about a movie which I saw a few days ago and I wanted to bring my feelings about it down a bit and I am talking about Gangubai Kathiawadi, an Indian movie which tells the story of a girl who is sold into prostitution and how is her life after that.
The truth is the first movie I've seen coming from Bollywood and it was a very good first impression. I want to say that this story was inspired by a true story of an important woman in India but they make it clear from the beginning that it is not a biography. The main actress is Alia Bhatt who I take my hat off to did very well and I think she fit perfectly her charisma made you believe all the scenarios both bad and good, although I do not ask to highlight another actor because I do not know any other I can say that no one could overshadow her.
The story begins when Gangubai who came from a wealthy family decides to run away with her fiancé in search of her dream of becoming a Bollywood actress but it turns out that he sells her for 1000 rupees to a prostitution center where she suffers a lot until thanks to external means she can become important in this world where she has suffered so much, something that I value in the sorority of the protagonist with her own, with those other sex workers that although they are not to blame for ending up there sometimes even do not get to behave well with the protagonist. Something I want to highlight in a positive way of this film that despite dealing with such sensitive issues as prostitution do not get to show explicit scenes making this act for any age over 16 years, as it is based mostly on the drama and the main conflict that is the struggle and the demonstration of the life of sex slaves because that's what they are, beyond calling them prostitutes.
I loved the setting, the music and in the few scenes we can see the treacherous dances of India, I think that is something that draws much attention especially to foreigners, I also consider that it was a very raw story regarding the delivery of Gangubai to his companions because even renounced love, maybe she was not the purest person because they called her the "Queen of the Mafia" but if you can say that his intentions were veins, She fought for her rights and ow something that this film invites us to empathy, maybe I did not get to see clearly the crudeness of her work or how it affects their lives, although it also fills me with sadness to collaborate that in a long time we have only been the object of sexual satisfaction, but as we ourselves despite our circumstances we have tried to be respected and valued for what we are. A very realistic and beautiful movie, with very good dialogues that leaves you with a weird feeling, the truth is that the two and a half hours that it lasts are worth it, I hope you give it a chance because it is certainly one of the best movies I've seen this year, thanks for reading.
Bollywood films have accompanied my childhood to adulthood. In the past, the Bollywood film industry only presented conventional themes such as friends, two people's romance, or family. Song and dance were not spared from the industry.
I usually like conventional Bollywood films, where the films still show a strong culture. However, the more modern, the more culture has eroded and seems no different from conventional Hollywood films. That's why I've been very selective about watching Bollywood movies in the past few years.
I would have watched if the theme wasn't too raunchy and had a really good moral message. If the content of their films wasn't as diverse as it is today, maybe I would have left the film industry that had witnessed the journey of my life. call me so over
I bet when you watch this movie, you will enjoy it and feel that this movie is really good. There are many points that I will mention about this film that will make you want to watch it immediately. So before I recommend it, first read this review from me.
This year I didn't watch a lot of Bollywood movies. It's just Atrangi Re and Gangubai Kathiawadi. I'll tell you about Atrangi Re another time because right now I'm going to review the Gangubai Kathiawadi movie.
A Biography Of a Mafia Queen Named Gangubai Kathiawadi
Gangubai Khatiawadi movie tells the story of a naive girl from a rich family named Ganga Jagjivandas Khatiawadi. She dreams of becoming an actress in the film industry because she likes actor Dev Anand. She, who is naive, finally leaves to fulfill his dream after being persuaded by his lover, Ramnik to go together to a city called Kamathipura. Instead of meeting someone in the film industry, Ganga is sold to a brothel by her lover for 1000 rupees. It cost IDR 200K at the time.
The brothel is run by a pimp named Sheela Aunty. When Ganga refuses to become a sex worker, she is locked up for days leaving her with no other choice but to become a brothel worker.
After getting his first client, Ganga officially changes her name from Ganga to Gangu. The name was given by his first customer, as well as a new name for his new identity. She has burned her soul as Ganga and has become her new self, Gangu.
During her time as a sex worker, Gangu befriends Kamli. Gangu has a rebellious personality. She knows she's the one his customers like the most and makes that a guarantee to do as she pleases. Just like when she treated the residents of a brothel to a movie. Sheela aunty doesn't want her business to close but Gangu insists on taking a day off. When she arrived at the cinema, a man teased her. Gangu hits the man saying can't you just let us rest in peace?
The fight finally made the man feel ashamed.
Another day, Sheela Aunty asks Gangu to serve a man at 4 am. Because she got a very expensive fee, Gangu finally agreed. Unexpectedly, this man was very rude. Gangu was beaten and beaten until she received many stitches all over her body. Being a sex worker, Gangu does not get proper treatment at the hospital. She was even transferred to a ward that looked more like a warehouse. After her injuries improve, Gangu goes to a powerful lawyer, named Rahim Bhai. She was the boss where the rude man worked. To get justice, Gangu asks Rahim Bhai for protection from the rude man. After seeing the wounds on Gangu's body, Rahim Bhai finally agrees.
The next day, when the rude man came again, Rahim Bhai's men were informed and soon Rahim Bhai came to beat the rude man to death. From then on, Gangu was under the protection of Rahim Bhai. It made him even tougher on the things Sheela's Aunt didn't deserve. Until finally Sheela Aunty died because she was poisoned by Gangu. The brothel then came under the control of Gangu at the request of the inhabitants of the brothel.
All Aspect In This Movie Are Mind-Blowing
---
After becoming the head of a brothel in kamathimpura, Gangu doesn't serve customers anymore. She arranged everything very fairly. She is a wise and educated woman. Seeing how women in the city have no right to choose their path in life, Gangu gets into politics. She is running for president of kamathipura. She has gone through many hurdles while running for the president of kamathipura. She was attacked several times by his opponent. However, because of his courage and determination to fight for the rights of more than 4000 women in Kamathipura, she was able to go through all of that until he finally succeeded in becoming the president of Kamathipura.
When she became the president of Kamathipura, this is where Gangu's struggle for women began. She received many rejections from various circles, including from the school which was near their brothel. They were asked to leave Kamathipura because it was considered a bad influence on the students there. Gangu is not afraid. She even enrolled his children, to be exact the children of other sex workers at the school.
“Imagine if one of these children became a doctor. This will bring about a change for us,” said Gangu when her children were denied admission to the school.
At this school, she met a journalist who later helped Gangu to voice her desire for female sex workers to get their rights as human beings.
This is a film for feminists. Where this is a very good film in terms of story and topics raised. I like how Gangu finally reconciles with her in the brothel, although I don't think if I were her I wouldn't be able to. She then dreams of bringing about a change for women sex workers who are deprived of their rights in ordinary society.
I was impressed when Gangubai persuaded a woman who was sold by her husband. Gangubai tells the lady that he will not be able to leave Kamathipura, just like he used to be. When Gangu gives the woman two choices, either to drink poison or to become a sex worker, the woman chooses to drink poison. Instead of letting the woman drink poison, he took her with him and sent her home. Despite the woman's pimp's opposition, Gangubai did not flinch. Here I see he respects a woman's decision. It is in line with the principle of life that prioritizes women's choices, whatever those choices are.
I was also impressed by his firm attitude towards the enemy. He had no fear. He was so brave to beat the men of his rivals and made his rivals unable to fight him anymore.
And what I like most about the whole film is when he fights for the rights of all women including prostitutes and their children to get an education, justice, and the same place. He is not afraid to fight for the rights of those who are sex workers. The world can change if they get the same rights and are not differentiated from other humans.
However, I think that legalizing prostitution is overboard. But I can still see from their side who are always raided by the police. However, it makes their life uneasy.
Another character who has an important role is the character of a journalist named Amin Faizi. It was he who brought Gangubai's idea of women's rights to the outside. Because aspirations without media are like bullshit. So journalists have a big hand in Gangubai's struggle.
The Great Movie in This Year
---
The film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Sanjay Leela Bhansali or SLB is one of Bollywood's best filmmakers. Throughout his career, he has made unusual films, which have never had a happy ending. The romantic films he made ended tragically. This is the first time SLB has made a film based on a book written by Hussain Zaidi entitled Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The book was written based on the true story of a ruling woman named Gangubai Kathiawadi.
After becoming a fan of SLB's magnificent films, I decided that Gangubai Khatiawadi was the best film SLB had ever made. This film is better than films before SLB like Bajirao Mastani, Padmavat, and Ram-Leela. This film is really weighty and not just entertaining. He managed to make a film with a sex worker as the main character without making a single bed scene.
It's just, that I don't like the song that appears in this film. Usually, SLB films are filled with songs that are pleasing to the ear and majestic. This time, none of the songs are pleasant to hear, hahaha…
I have followed Alia Bhatt's career journey since her debut. She is a talented actress who dares to take on different roles even though her career is still young. She has tried many characters since her debut in 2012. Indeed, most of her roles are a cute girl who is fought over by handsome and rich men. She became one of my favorite Bollywood actresses.
But when SLB first announced that Alia Bhatt would be playing a mobster back in the day, I was a little skeptical. That's because I think she failed as a girl in the olden days. Her face still looks modern for a film with a backward era like Kalank movie.
However, in this film, she succeeded, even very successfully bringing the role of a female mafia who lived in antiquity.
She could transform from young to old without fail. Even though she is very young, when she has become a leader, the aura of a nurturing woman can be brought out. You could say, the characters that he brought were stronger than the characters in the previous SLB films, such as the characters of Mastani and Padmavati who were also female fighters, but were still effortless. while Alia's character has many contributions to the protection of human rights and rights even though its scope is still in one area. The characters in this film can even stand alone without the presence of actors like in the previous SLB films.
This film became a popular film in India as well as in foreign countries. After airing on Netflix, many of my friends who are not even Bollywood movie fans watched this film and gave it a high rating. This is really a very good film and I highly recommend it to you guys. Forget about boring conventional Bollywood movies because this movie won't even let you miss a single second of a scene in it.
Because I don't agree with legalizing prostitution, I give this film a rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars.
Thanks for reading my review.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author.
