Dije: voy a verla y fui...

Greetings film lovers, I am pleased to greet you. After a brief absence, I am back again to share with you the new and not so new cinematographic proposals. I hope to be able to accompany you more frequently as before.

This time I will comment on a movie that I really liked in its first version, it is Joker. I went to the movies with some friends and I enjoyed this new film on a giant screen. I was always waiting for the release date but it was through a TV commercial that I found out that it was already in theaters.

Some time ago, before its premiere, I had already heard negative comments about the film, so before seeing it I didn't want to listen to anyone. I said: I'm going to see it and I went....

For me the new Joker movie is an excellent film. Someone once told me that there are movies that have no middle ground, either you like it or you don't like it. That's how it is. I tell you in advance that I recommend it.

The film contains a musical genre with a leisurely pace. This was one of the criticisms I had read, the theme music was not very appealing. However, Todd Phillips had made it clear that this new version would not be the same as the previous one and therefore, not everyone will be equally hooked. But, one thing that is very clear to me is the storytelling. Again, I was very pleased indeed.

I paid a lot of attention to the songs because there are a lot of answers there, the costumes, the lighting and the framing of the film give the right answers to the story. Joaquin Phoenix again shines in his role as Joker, and the performance of Lady Gaga, who by the way I don't know much, in her interpretation as Harley Quinn is wonderful, she was given a role full of strength.

I was impressed again by the physical appearance of the Joker, everything seems so real that it only generates amazement for something this great actor was Oscar winner in the first installment in 2020, will he win it again? I say, yes.

While my friends seemed a bit bored, I was fully engaged in the screen hahaha. For them the film is a bit slow but the plot, in my case was an opportunity to understand both characters. Of course, my friends didn't see the first movie and obviously they were lost, poor things hahaha. I was still inspired.

From my point of view Arthur's character continues to show his human side. It shows in him his mental disorder because of his stormy life. the disorder , the darkness , the madness are always present in his actions. This reality keeps you questioning reality.

At this time I am going to comparisons. I was a lover of the Batman series and loved the villains in every episode. However, it was not my interest to know about each character's life or what made them the way they were. That many filmmakers have taken on the task of creating stories about the lives of the characters is to be applauded.

The musical spectacle that many may not like is Arthur's inner world, it is there that he can dance or be the dream artist. It's still a really interesting psychological thriller.

Through Arthur's case and personality, it brings out the reality we want to see but not what is real, the truth, his truth. With the first film, I cried hahaha, with this second one, I didn't miss much. There are many arguments within the story but I do not want to make spoilers, it is better that everyone sees it and draw their own conclusions.

In the end Arthur dies, but I think a third version could appear heh, heh, heh, there are hints of it, I won't say more.

5/5 for this movie, whatever others say, for me it's great.😬Now yeah, I'll check some posts to see what other opinions are around here.

Hello friends of this community, I hope you are feeling great... this time I want to talk about a very well known movie, which became famous some years ago and has been considered by many as the best DC movie. That's right, today I will talk about Joker... this is a movie that I saw, obviously, some years ago when it was released. I didn't see it in the theater, I saw it at home a few months after it was released, but after watching it, I think I regret not going to see it in the theater... I think it would have been much more interesting. From the moment it starts, this movie completely envelops you in a unique and somewhat disturbing atmosphere...the main story follows Arthur Fleck, an outcast man living in Gotham City, Arthur is a very damaged character, not only by his environment, but also by his own mind.
From the beginning we are shown a man struggling to find his place in the world, a world that seems to be specifically designed to reject him in every aspect. The film is a raw, unfiltered look at the transformation from an ordinary man to the fearsome Joker, and it does so in a way that is both very fascinating and unsettling. What makes this film so special and relevant is the way it forces us to empathize a little bit with a character that in any other circumstance would be seen as a villain, but here we see a little bit of this clown's humanity, his dreams, his aspirations and how it all slowly crumbles around him.

One of the aspects I loved most about this movie is Joaquin Phoenix's incredible performance...his portrayal of Arthur is masterful, and even earned him an Oscar...he really immerses you completely in the character and shows you a range of emotions from absolute despair to manic euphoria. It's impossible to look away from the screen as we watch this character transform step by step into the criminal clown prince... every gesture, every twitch, every uncontrollable laugh helps paint a complete portrait of a man on the edge of the abyss, it's truly shocking. Todd Phillips' direction also deserves special recognition... here he really surprises a lot by delivering a film that is visually interesting and deeply atmospheric, the whole city of Gotham feels like another character in the film.
It's a dirty, oppressive place that seems to give off a really negative energy that is bound to affect all of its inhabitants.. the film is also full of little details that contribute to a sense of unease, a weird feeling. From the trash in the streets to some of the news, everything in this city is designed to make you feel uncomfortable and it works perfectly.

One of the central themes in the story is the disconnect between the different social classes. Gotham is divided between the rich and the extremely poor, and this divide is palpable in several scenes, Arthur is a product of this environment, a man who has been shunned by all those who should have helped him. It's a story that explores the lack of empathy and indifference, and how this can drive someone over the edge, and it does so in a way that is brutally honest...the main character's relationship with his mother is another important aspect of the film. We get little glimpses of all that extra baggage Arthur has, and we see how this connection slowly contributes to his descent into madness, the revelation about his true origin is one of the key moments of the film. I think it conveys very well what would be that mental breakdown that anyone could have on a bad day, in a bad week or in a bad life.

The film also doesn't fall short in showing how this character's violence and insanity are a response to a society that has treated him and spat him out with much cruelty...there is a clear progression in how Arthur begins to slowly lose control. We see him initially as a victim, but as the film progresses he becomes the perpetrator of increasingly heinous acts, the film doesn't justify his actions, it just contextualizes them, showing us how a man can be pushed to the extreme by the circumstances in which he lives.
Joker is very different, there are multiple layers to the story, and many things are left open to the interpretation of the viewers... the film plays with the idea of what is real and what is not, keeping the viewer constantly in a state of uncertainty, this is something I loved, and it is felt very much especially in the ending, where the doubt remains as to whether everything we have seen has really happened. This ambiguity is one of the great strengths of the film, as it allows for multiple perceptions and debates about what is really happening, or what is being seen.

The aesthetics of this film are incredible...from the cinematography to the production design, everything is designed to immerse us in the disturbing mind of the protagonist.... The muted colors, some new lighting and haunting music combine to create an atmosphere that is oppressive yet captivating, there are some moments where it feels like Arthur is in a nightmare, and that is a testament to the director's ability to create a thrilling and very immersive visual experience.
Obviously, like everything in the world, I think it's not perfect, in my opinion, sure.. I think there are some aspects that are somewhat predictable, not many, but a few, especially in the first two acts, there is a sense that the film is going around in circles before reaching the true climax, and this could have been handled in a more correct manner, in my opinion. However, these aren't major problems, it's pretty minor stuff... it does its job perfectly, which is to offer a deep and disturbing look into the mind of one of pop culture's most iconic villains.
Joker is a film that can certainly stay with you in your mind for a long time, it's a unique cinematic experience that challenges you and provokes certain emotions... It really forces you to look into the darkness of what the human mind is, and to consider how today's society can create its own monsters. I actually think it makes sense that many consider it a work of art, I somewhat agree with these people, it is very powerful. My rating is a 9.5/10. I hope you liked this review, you can leave me your opinions... I'll share the trailer below and I'll see you in the other reviews. Take care, bye bye.

    A bientôt,

    Florence

Without a doubt I thought of this wonderful DC movie when I saw the new contest, which takes a reality to very bad extremes, but the best thing about it is that it could be real and it could work, just like Arthur Fleck's story, This is a movie that I consider to be up to par for my entry.

The film "The Joker" (2019), directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix, tells the story of the iconic DC Comics villain, Arthur Fleck, who suffers from a neurological condition called Pseudobulbar Condition (PA). This illness is characterized by involuntary episodes of laughing or crying that may be inappropriate or disproportionate to the situation.

Arthur Fleck's story is a mix of tragedy and violence, and his illness is a key element in the plot. The AP makes him laugh at inappropriate times, which makes him feel uncomfortable and left out. Additionally, the illness appears to have worsened his mental health and his ability to relate to others.

The film explores the life of Arthur Fleck, a lonely and marginalized man who works as a clown in an entertainment company. Gotham City is mired in corruption and chaos, and the gap between rich and poor is growing ever larger. Arthur struggles to find his place in the world and is constantly rejected by society.

The main character of the film is a complex man who fights against his inner demons and his illness. AP is a real disease that affects people of all ages and genders. Although it is not known exactly what causes it, it is believed to be related to brain damage due to injuries or neurodegenerative diseases.

PA can be difficult to diagnose and treat, as the symptoms can be confused with other neurological or psychiatric disorders. Patients suffering from PA may feel embarrassed or stigmatized due to their episodes of uncontrollable laughing or crying.

In the film, Arthur Fleck's AP is an important element in his development as a character. His illness makes him seem vulnerable and fragile, which makes him more human and empathetic to the audience. Furthermore, the AP is also a metaphor for the marginalized and despised society that Arthur represents.

In conclusion, "The Joker" is a shocking and emotionally intense film that explores themes such as mental health, violence and social inequality. Arthur Fleck's PA is a real illness that is used effectively in the plot to show the character's internal struggle and his marginalization in society. The film is a masterpiece of cinema and a profound exploration of human psychology.

5. [ESP] [ENG] Review about the amazing movie: Joker| Reseña sobre la increíble película: Joker@mandysmoon1002d

    Hey there, Hive!

    ¡Hola, Hive!

Several years ago was the premiere of this film that would give a lot to talk about. Since I was little I have been a fan of Batman and many other things belonging to the DC universe, so when I found out that they were going to make a movie about the iconic villain I knew I had to see it as soon as it was released. And so I did, in fact I wanted to see it so much that I didn't mind going to the cinema alone, something I had never done before (it's actually great). In this post I will share my opinion about the film. This time no spoilers. I know, that’s new hahaha.

    Sinopsis | Synopsis

Arthur Fleck, a man with an ordinarily sad life. He lives in precarious conditions with his mother who is sick and old. Of course it's a situation that would make anyone unhappy but not Arthur because he loves making people laugh. From dressing up as a clown for his job (miserably paid), writing jokes for small stand up shows to spending hours watching his favorite comedian, Murray. Arthur's dream is to get to know him.

That dream may come true, however, real life has other plans. Arthur would be subjected to so many unfortunate situations, so many blows with harsh reality that he would end up losing his innocence to become a man full of suffering.

“All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy”

El personaje y el actor | The Character and the actor

The Joker, the infamous favorite villain of many. This character is interesting because of his obvious insanity that has been covered from different aspects in both the comics and the movies. Whether he is the anarchist, the gangster, an ordinary man with a bad day or simply a crazy person, the truth is that we have been able to appreciate various facets of the same character, each one more bizarre than the other.

The Joker has never had a specific origin, there are so many different stories that you could say that he is the way he is just because. This in my opinion provides different artists with creative freedom that allows them to achieve great things. However, a perspective that had not been used before was approaching the Joker as someone mentally unstable. I’ll explain myself better now.

This character has always been taken for “the crazy one” because of his actions, which of course, are so incredible that they are definitely insane. However, the Joker was crazy basically because why not. There was no apparent reason. However, in this film they analyze him from a perhaps more psychological point of view, giving a real reason to the madness that he later develops. They achieve this through the formulation of an initial trauma that is combined with a social/economic context that worsens the character's living conditions, causing the symptoms to remain latent until the triggering event occurs that finally leads to madness. Whether he ends up being a psychopath or sociopath I have to admit that it is not clear to me, but at least there is a reason for his actions and behavior.

There is something that must be admitted: before this film the character was already tiring; It already seems as if Batman has no other enemies. Despite being an interesting character, he is so overused that some stories actually become boring because of how repetitive they are. But, director Todd Phillips changed this completely by approaching the character and his development in a more realistic way. We can all meet a person similar to Arthur Fleck, someone who has had very bad luck and who has no opportunity to fulfill his dreams, only to continue existing carrying the weight of his traumas.

Another aspect that I love about this film is that it has nothing to do with superheroes, nothing to do with the genre, so there are things that the viewer may expect but are not going to happen. As I said, it is a much more realistic approach although the essence of the character remains the same.

On the other hand, what can I say about Joaquin Phoenix other than that he is a spectacular actor? He had very high standards to meet since the fans had the comparison with the phenomenal work of Heath Ledger, the last actor to play the role (no, for me Jared Leto does not exist). Phoenix did a job that was comparable to Ledger’s or even better. I think method actors are excellent choices to play these types of characters because their work feels so exceptionally real that it can give you goosebumps.

The commitment that Phoenix showed was evident, from losing an incredible amount of weight to look bad, to exhaustively studying the character to really understand it and, of course, put his own spin on him. A touch of real madness. This actor certainly left me impressed.

Even if superheroes/supervillains are not your thing, this is a movie that you can enjoy since the plot is really about drama and crime. On the other hand, the character development so carefully done, with so many details from lighting, color theory, soundtrack (which is spectacular) as well as all the casting of actors make this film an incredible experience. Despite lasting two hours, it is so good that you don't even notice it.

So if you have the chance, watch this movie. You will definitely love it.

  6. 'Joker' by Todd Phillips Review: A pretty decent villain story@namiks1032d

    vlcsnap-2023-08-30-19h05m09s949.png

I recently watched The Batman, which I found to be a pretty interesting take on the character, mixed with a lot of decent cinematography and atmosphere. Though, my two main problems with the film were its length and weirdly uninteresting villain that felt shoehorned in. For some reason, I've been putting off watching Joker since it released, initially a result of just not being interested in superhero films; something that still is very much the case. Though, here and there my curiosity may lead to an attempted viewing. I first tried watching Joker a while back, even, but I found myself struggling to pay attention. These days I am trying to branch out a bit more with the media I surround myself with. Getting back into video games, starting to read comics I have owned for years but never read, even watching superhero films and animations. With this, I felt the need to give Joker a chance again, knowing it was hailed as shallow arthouse, and with that prior viewing of The Batman, I figured there was little room for disliking Joker to the point in which I couldn't finish it.

One of my main disappointments with the whole superhero genre is how the films never really took themselves seriously. They made a mockery of the characters to the point where it was purely theatrical and never something that could be actually engaging. To add to this, these films only ever seemed (and still do) to portray the good guys. This is really odd to me, given that even I'm aware of the sheer depth comic book worlds have when it comes to villains. Highly creative designs and backstories, some simplistic and comedic, others given a bit more thought. Even now, I can't think of any other superhero films that actually focus on the deeds of a villain. Joker appears to be the one and only. Think about it: all those characters, so many stories to tell. Yet we saw Captain America how many times? I don't want to praise Joker for more than it deserves, and I still chuckle lightly at a reference to the film I saw online once claiming it was to be considered the 'McDonald's of arthouse'. But really, finally a comic book character taken seriously, a none other than the perspective of a villain! Villains alone don't get enough attention in films; despite being some of the most interesting characters to watch due to their troublesome minds.

This, this is something that I can actually get behind. Something that speaks to me a bit more than the usual style of release that comes from Marvel or DC. I'm not looking for anything too serious and dark, but just something that sees the potential in the characters they own, and looking into how they can be introduced to the world on the big screen. Even saying this, it is not deny that Joker has its own weaknesses, it's a far from perfect film. But I would say that I would like to see the owners of these characters actually use them.

    Joker

    vlcsnap-2023-08-30-19h29m33s983.png

Joaquin Phoenix is an actor that has really managed to find success in age. Being an actor that was already relatively famous, its his later years that appear to display his sheer talent, taking on roles that are quite vast in character, showing much range in his abilities. It's interesting to see that he could take on such a huge character like Joker, and at a glance one might assume this is a strange casting option. But Joaquin went the extra mile here, losing an incredible amount of weight and reducing himself to a strange, contorted lump of boney flesh. It's this perception of the character that makes him shine the most, rather than the more chubbier prior adaptations, where he truly is constantly smiling. Here, Joker doesn't start off as a fun-loving psychopath. And a totally different approach compared to Nolan's films. Instead, this Joker is deeply human. To the point in which you really resonate with his character in the earlier stages of the film.

Joker is ultimately a story of one man's descent into madness as a result of mental illness, both within the individual and across the board in relation to society itself. There's no question that the modern world is a place of insanity, where little appears to make sense; people on the Internet even before the film would refer to the modern world as a clown world. An ongoing circus, theatrical performances of corporations, individuals, and events themselves that can't be taken seriously and highlight the idiocy of what we believe is a structured society governed by law and order. Put relatively lightly, Joker holds a mirror up against its audience with the idea of a flawed, ill society that doesn't take care of its inhabitants, particularly the most vulnerable ones. It really is quite tragic, and it's easy to forget that while we watch Joker take shape, it's really a result of genuine reasons, the idea that it can happen to anyone. That one day the vulnerable could snap as a result of their lack of support, and the constant poking with a stick that is felt from the endless stresses of trying to function in this world. Family expectations, work and careers, money, friends, each of things adding a little bit of stress each into a single person. Some, unfortunately feeling it more than others. This is Joker.

Todd Philips touches the character of Joker with such empathy to begin with. Showing us a normal man that is struggling within Gotham (New York City for the most part) as a performer. He's a quiet, gentle guy that seems to have a struggle functioning with others. Not quite sure how to act or what to think and feel. It's how others treat him that sends him into the initial stages of madness, talking down upon him, treating him like a nobody. I quite liked this idea as an introduction to the character, to see the villain before they're a villain, and thus the reasons behind their future acts that are often difficult to understand. Sometimes, a villain seems like a villain just for fun, whereas in this case, it's a result of a troubled upbringing in a broken, ever-changing society that he just can't seem to keep up with. In some instances, this really worked well. But the story took a few weird turns that I couldn't seem to care for. Naturally, taking place in Gotham, the creation of Joker as a character takes place within the same space as the Wayne family. I think I would've preferred if the film didn't really bother mentioning this, but it began to stick with this idea quite a bit, showing the parents, even showing a tiny Bruce. These constant nods to remind us where we are and in which franchise felt a bit out of place. Pulling us out of the character and descent into madness he faces and almost reminding us that he isn't really a main character.

This can be easy to overlook, though, after all it is a film that's clearly part of a broader picture that's going to end up being utilised later on. Especially given the similarities in cinematography between Joker and The Batman, they're far too similar (even though yes they're from the same director) to not have any connection in some regard down the line. Ultimately, you can look at Joker as an introductory film, one that establishes a character before the inevitable sequels and connections part of a broader cinematic universe. The cinematography is certainly something to appreciate. It's unique for a film of this genre, with slow dolly shots that creep in and out of a room featuring our protagonist. I liked when this happened as it showed the back of Joaquin Phoenix, his skinny structure that was emphasised by a lack of strength. It made him seem odd, somewhat freakish. Very similar to the many harsh comments people would make about him. With his character being a performer, it makes sense that his character would be appreciative of the arts still. Even better to portray him under vibrant colours surrounding by mostly dim lighting. Fortunately, none of this was overshadowed by an unnecessary runtime, making the time it had feel just enough. Perhaps could've been utilised a little more better without the Wayne family side of things, but I think it said enough regarding the character and the flaws in our society that sum up the fact that really, anyone could end up being Joker.

  7. [EN/ES] Joker: A broken man can do more damage than any bomb (Review)@fabian981062d

intro 1.png Made in canva, source image

I can say without a doubt that any movie that comes from Christopher Nolan is a marvel, and his new movie Openheimer is a movie that can be classified as a gem, since it is quite serious, with a very clear and concise message and with very outstanding actors. But I would not like to review this film at this time, since there are too many reviews at this time and to do one more would be like throwing a stone on a beach hoping for a treasure to float up. What I would like to do is to try to highlight a message or an essence of Oppenheimer's film by taking as a reference another incredible iconic film of recent years.

Openheimer's film left a very clear message, and this is that man has the ability to destroy himself in ways we can't even imagine. As we can see the atomic bomb is a weapon of mass destruction that instead of being good for humanity so far has only caused evil but worse and worse. But did you know that it is more dangerous than any atomic bomb that can be invented? The answer is simple, a man who is broken inside as he has the power to change the world for bad or for good and in this case we will talk about the 2019 Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Todd Phillips where we are shown how a broken man caused evil by being more destructive than any bomb.

To start talking about this movie I would like to talk about some technical details or details that relate this movie to the comics.

First, is that this movie was filmed with features that make it unique and reach much more to the audience, for example was shot in 35 mm film, which gives it a more cinematic and classic look, and this served very well to portray the gothic city of the 80's. The film also has an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. This gave the film a more intimate and claustrophobic feel, especially in the scene of Arthur in the bathroom dancing. And above all, Joaquin Phoenix's performance is simply masterful. He manages to capture the madness and vulnerability of Arthur Fleck. And although the movie is totally detached from the DC Comics universe, other characters such as Thomas Wayne and Harvey Dent are mentioned.

    image.png Source

Now let's talk about the plot and this movie takes place in the gothic city of 1981 where we know the story of Arthur Fleck, a man who works as a party clown or animation for children's hospitals, for a private company called ha-ha's. But Arthur is not a normal man as he constantly suffers from a struggle with severe depression and also struggles to face every day a totally unfair city plunged in chaos and evil. But Arthur is not a normal man as he constantly suffers a struggle with severe depression and also struggles to face every day a totally unfair city plunged in chaos and evil.

So one day Arthur, tired of so many injustices against him and the world treating him like dirt, decides to take action and while trying to help a girl from being harassed, Arthur murders three young millionaires working on wall street, which causes a commotion in the city but at the same time frees Arthur from all his pressures and turns him into a totally different person, from a simple broken man to a man who takes control of his life and tries to free all his emotions, a man who uses his broken situation for bad, taking revenge on all those who treated him like garbage.

    image.png Source

I can say that this movie is a masterpiece because it is something totally different from anything we have seen in the history of DC movies. Since as the director himself said it is a film that does not connect with any other DC universe plot regarding the Joker because as you know The Joker can be taken in different ways since it does not have a beginning or a beginning itself or a story that identifies it and its origins can be different depending on who plays it.

But besides having an amazing plot that is very catching and with an infinite tension of strings that keeps you sitting from the beginning to the end the movie has an extremely amazing cast since it has as main actor nothing more and nothing less than Joaquin Phoenix one of the most outstanding actors of the last decade.

Another thing that stands out, very well the joker movie is the huge broth in the pressure cooker that lives around the chaotic gothic city. The social decomposition, the robberies, the protests against the government and anarchy, is not something far from the reality that is also lived today in different cities around the world, everything we see in this movie is something that is very much like what happens today is as if we had gothic cities all over the planet and unfortunately also characters like Arthur with a lot of pain and that can be defined as broken people who unfortunately does much harm to others.

But now talking about the filmic aspect, I can say that it has an extremely amazing and detailed image, the photography throughout the film has details of color that are changing the nuances as Arthur is discovering himself. And when he murders those 3 young men from wall street in the subway, everything becomes more real and vivid, you can also see how Arthur's life looks good for him.

    image.png Source

It is great to see how the world of Arthur suddenly changes and gives the viewer an impression that what he has seen is not really what was being shown, it leaves you thinking that possibly the whole story of Arthur is a fake but that's up to the viewer to decide. In conclusion this was one of the most amazing joker movies I have seen so far, far surpassing others, I look forward to the second part where supposedly harley quinn played by Lady Gaga, and that is a pretty amazing movie that focuses on the two of them in a musical style, as they tear the gothic city to shreds.

This review has arrived here, I'm really glad to be back to writing here in Hive I had been away for a while due to different obligations and work that is super absorbing, to the point of almost only getting up to work and finish and fall asleep in a vicious cycle, but I can't complain I have the help of my lovely wife, so now I have more time since she covers for me with some of my work tasks.

So I'll see you next time, in the next amazing and wonderful review, thanks for reading.

Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) plays a man who has as shown in the story psychiatric problems, his dream is to become a comedian but his life is not at all easy, while dealing with his mental health also has to deal with a society which treats him deeply bad and make fun of him, making jokes and damaging his life to such an extent that he loses his job as a clown where he advertises with a poster, which he ends up losing because of some young people who between bad jokes snatch it from him and then beat him up.

While Arthur tries to continue with his life living with his sick mother, his only companion and the person he sees daily, he continues with his dream of being a famous comedian. But he continues to have problems because society sees him as a freak, especially because he has a very particular characteristic and that is that he can be in any normal situation and start laughing without being able to control himself. He takes medication and always comes home to watch his mother's favorite program, a kind of talk show where Murray Franklin (Robert De Niro) appears, a very popular host but with zero sense of empathy who at some point in the film ends up ridiculing Arthur in front of national television, which makes Arthur feel a lot of pain and at the same time want to talk to him.

As the two-hour film wears on, Arthur goes to a therapist he often talks to, who also prescribes him medication. Yet Arthur realizes that he is the son of Thomas Wayne, the man who is about to become mayor of Gotham, and what hurts him the most is that he simply never sought him out or was ever present in his life. But before all this Arthur was harassed by some men in the subway and impulsively pulled out a gun given to him by an acquaintance at the place where he worked and killed them.

This event generated a relay of emotions and news where they started to say that they were looking for a man with a clown mask. Arthur had to be more cautious because he wanted to continue with his plan, which was basically to talk to his father Thomas and get some affection from him, get to be a recognized comedian and understand what happened to his mother and what is the truth of all this. In the city a group of people started to idolize the clown, they even made destruction of public areas and wore a clown face, because they considered him a hero for them.

This movie directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix was undoubtedly a great success, they touched every topic in the right way, Joaquin played the role of the Joker in a phenomenal way that is hard to forget after finishing watching the movie, also the physical change he had to do for the role was very shocking, he looked quite thin. According to what Joaquin himself said, he was not inspired by the previous Jokers, he simply did it his own way and he was also inspired by a book about political assassinations and the motivations that these people have when performing these acts.

What struck me most about this film is how a mental illness can appear to society as something horrible, even to the point of humiliating and devaluing the people who suffer from it. Joaquin showed the pain he felt for being seen as a poor and stupid clown, as someone who would never achieve anything. The moments when he laughed were very painful for me, because it was his way of expressing the emotions he had never been able to express by speaking. Especially after seeing the truth of what is behind his life story, it is extremely sad and it made me very angry to know everything that happened to him. And the saddest thing for me were his joke annotations which were totally harsh, one of them was: Maybe my life will be worth it after I die. It was very hard to read it gave me a lot of feeling 😔.

Many times you will feel helpless before the situations of injustice that Arthur (Joker) lives and how sometimes in order not to face the pain our mind creates mechanisms that help us to live despite having gone through extremely traumatic events.

    The Characters I Liked:

    The Joker:

We meet Arthur Fleck, a kind and quiet person in which his only dream is to be a comedian, he currently works in a business that is dedicated to providing clown services for parties and other events that are needed, but our friend luck is not with him, because in almost all his work something bad happens to him, since the city where he lives is a chaos because of so much corruption and gangsters.

Having bad luck along with his mental health problems, we will see how our friend will become a dangerous person for society.

    Fuente / Source

    Murray Franklin:

    Murray Franklin:

Murray Franklin is a famous comedian who works in a television show in which he interviews people and talks about the issues that are lived in the city where they are.

But despite being a comedian and a famous person, he would not realize that he would make the worst mistake of his life by mocking and being tactless with a person who is not having a good time in his life.

    Fuente / Source

    Penny Fleck:

    Penny Fleck:

Penny Fleck is a former worker of the most millionaire family of the city, the Wayne and the mother of our friend Arthur Fleck, but she is hiding a terrible secret she committed in the past.

Being a person with many mental problems, this is thrown out of the Wayne house and locked in the Arkham asylum in the city to be treated, because in his mind has created a life very different from what reality is.

    Thomas Wayne:

      Thomas Wayne:

Thomas Wayne is one of the most millionaire people in the city, is a quiet and kind person who wants to be of help in his city, because for him the city must recover from the current state in which it is.

After learning that three of his workers were murdered, he decides to get involved in politics to be the new mayor of the city, thus taking the repudiation of many people in which they make demonstrations to show that they are against this decision.

¿Matará a personas?

    The Road to The Joker:

Being a person with some mental health problems, Arthur Fleck is aware of this and goes to therapy, taking pills, but what affects him the most and worries him is that no matter how much he goes to therapy and takes pills, everything remains the same and repetitive not seeing any progress in his life.

While in therapy, his doctor does not care about him, she is only there to fulfill a position, since she is also a victim of everything that is happening in the city and only limits herself to send medicines and an exercise to our friend, this being a serious mistake, since she does not really listen to her patient.

The past of our friend was not good at all, since he suffered a lot of mistreatment by his mother and her partners, leading him to grow up in a very unhealthy environment for a child.

Being a victim of today's society, our friend suffers from mistreatment even in his adulthood, since no one is kind in his life, except a little person, leading him to make very bad decisions in his life.

Being all his life taking care of his mother, after an accident he learns about his past life, since thanks to so many medications he suppressed those memories, being this the trigger for our friend to end up in complete madness.

Who is this person? Will Arthur get carried away by madness? Will he kill people?

You will find out by watching this movie.

    Conclusion

I liked the movie, the way it tells the story is good, they take their time explaining things and the details that happen in it.

The acting of each of the actors is good, the one I liked the most was Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker, his acting is amazing, the way he plays his character is excellent, the detail of the constant laughter because of an illness of his character shows that he is really having a bad time and Joaquin makes it amazing.

Seeing how Arthur Fleck is just a person looking for affection, looking for understanding in his life and only gets the opposite, makes us love the character to see how unfair life is with him.

Seeing how even his own mind creates a fictitious relationship with a certain character shows us that he really only wants affection in his life.

As well as imagining that he has the affection of a father with a celebrity, it's sad to see.

Honestly, the script and the performance of Joaquin Phoenix in this story are excellent, you really get to love Arthur Fleck.

In this story we see the origin of this incredible character, he always wanted to be loved, but life never let him.

The audience for this film is 18 years and older, as it contains strong material in this story.

  10. Thoughts on the new Joker (Again)@richardalexis1547d

    The-Batman-Barry-Keoghan-joker-face-embed1-copy.jpg Source

    Separador.png

    Separador.png

    The-Batman-Barry-Keoghan-joker-face-embed1-copy.jpg Source

    Separador.png

First of all I want to mention that my family and I have just gone through a somewhat traumatic moment, this is the main reason why I have been absent from Hive for a couple of days, however, after something that felt like a nightmare finally we begin to see a respite, it turns out that on Tuesday March 29 my father had a motorcycle accident and his leg suffered a high amount of damage, it is a very delicate matter where he could have lost his leg permanently, but after a couple of operations (which we are still struggling to pay for and are quite expensive) our hope is resurfacing, there are compromised nerves and ligaments but we remain positive, we have absolute faith that eventually he will fully recover and we will have him active as always, although he may be a process that lasts several months. I mention all this to you even though it has little to do with the topic of my post (and by extension, of this great community) because I feel that it is important to justify my absence and I would also greatly appreciate it if you would review this post where my sister details everything that happened to depth, I hope you do not mind the inclusion of said post on these sides, thanks for the attention guys and I hope you are well.

But hey, I want to take my mind off this tragedy a bit by talking about one of my favorite movies of this year (again) and I feel that now is the right time to address one of its most controversial points: nothing more and nothing less. than the inclusion of Barry Kheogan as the new Joker in Matt Reeves' The Batman.

The point is that although I feel that it was an unnecessary addition to the film (much more in tune with what a Marvel or DC work would do in the Snyder Era) it is important to clear our minds to evaluate what its inclusion means not only for the obvious sequels of The Batman but for the Arkham Asylum spin offs that we will see eventually on HBO Max.

Although I believe that in recent decades we have received more versions of the character than necessary, diverting attention from other Batman villains with a similar amount of potential (Scarecrow, for example), we must also recognize that the clown is a crucial piece within the myth. of the Bat, with all that this implies.

I ask, are we angry about Kheogan's performance, or that DC is once again forcing one of its most marketable faces? Like most of the most recent versions of the Joker, it is undeniable that Ledger and Nolan's version has had a gigantic influence not only in aesthetics, but in the most substantial aspects of his presence: how he speaks, his motivations, the general energy of it.

I like the idea but I hate that his existence is necessary for Batman to work in the long term, Kheogan and Reeves give us a much more twisted and disheveled vision of the character, which seems to work organically with the rest of the new universe, but we can do nothing but feel fear for the future.

    The-Batman-una-imagen-mas-clara-del-Joker-de-Barry-Keoghan-rompe-internet.jpg

As a personal reflection, I think I should leave behind that need to see Batman as a comic book character (Although they are his origins and his main source to date) but because it is an idea that closes our expectations of what these stories can tell, Reeves is building a new universe isolated from everything we have seen before and we must respect it as such, each filmmaker and each artist has had a different approach to their cast of characters, it never hurts to have one more.

Hello friends who love movies, I hope you are very well, today I want to share with you a brief analysis of some aspects of the Joker movie that I found great and with a lot of meaning, I will not stop to analyze the whole movie but a scene in particular and how it relates to others. The internet abounds with many analyzes and reviews about this film, ranging from opinions about the acting, comments on the script and even the disease that Arthur Fleck's character suffered, I will focus on a very powerful symbol that appears in this film and that Personally, when I looked at it, I felt a sense of liberation, it is about the staircase.

Since ancient times men have built stairs, especially in ancient temples, whether in Egypt or Sumeria, the purpose of these temples was to serve the gods, that is why the buildings were raised to a great height. The stairs then allowed the priestly caste to ascend to the heavens together with the gods and bring the offerings, and then descend with the men and bring the blessings to the people, we can see then that the stairs serve us to ascend and descend, they are an instrument that allow us to connect two different realities, often in conflict with each other. In this way in the Joker movie, this symbolism of the ladder has a great importance in his mental health and personality.

One of the first scenes where we see Arthur's relationship with the ladder is a fantasy thought he has with his idol Murray, he longs to go out on his show, and from Murray's speech in this delusion we can understand the paternal lack that Arthur suffers and we can understand that this will be the great mark of his moral weakness, the absence of a father. That void has been filled by a character from the show, in his delirium, Arthur proudly descends the steps, under the lights and the applause of the people, and receives Murray with a fatherly hug. Inside the film the scene looks so good that it is impossible to differentiate if everything is imagining it.

Now, we take a bath of reality, Arthur Fleck's life is nothing like his fantasies and the scene when he climbs the stairs on his way home is very representative. It is the return home, to misery, to abandonment; We can see how he climbs the stairs with a great weight on his back, the rejection in his job, the not being able to get his medicine and the unanswered letters from Thomas Wayne. The color palette changes violently and we can see the spirit of Gotham City and the weight on the remains of a man, the photograph indicates how heavy it is for Arthur to live in that city, to carry the weight of reality and how his mind little by little it breaks into many pieces. I've been fired from many jobs and I know what it feels like to come home empty-handed and hopeless, that's why this scene seemed so powerful to me and I saw the stairs with different eyes.

Then we have two scenes where Arthur Fleck breaks a thousand pieces to later shape a new image, on the stairs he murders one of the 3 bullies in cold blood, the other two had been killed in self-defense, but with the latter he relentless and unloaded all his anger emptying the magazine at the foot of a staircase, the dark moment changes for the flight of Fleck ascending to the category of murderer that is why he climbs the stairs, and ends up in a public bathroom dancing to release the tension of the moment . Then he steals his mother's files in the Arkham asylum where he discovers the truth that he is adopted, therefore Arthur Fleck does not exist inside him, everything has been a lie. And look at the colors of his clothing, red shirt and mustard jacket, the colors are reversed, it is the last time where he takes charge of his own reality and from now on he will unleash the true being that has just been born.

Finally, the apotheosis of the Joker, after murdering a colleague from his old job, Arthur comes out with the robes that will make him immortal, now the red covers the mustard color, the passion and violence is superimposed on the symbolized mental health because of the mustard color, contrary to the previous image. His total descent into madness could not be otherwise than dancing to the rhythm of Rock n'Roll part 2, a melody tarnished by a sinister composer, which makes the scene one of the latest milestones in cinema. The Joker's descent into madness is his rise to greatness, now Gotham City would know of his existence, starting with those who brought him to that state.

As I mentioned at the beginning, the ladder symbolizes a transition between two very different realities, for the Joker it represented his dance between reason and madness. It was the last time we saw him near some stairs that means that for his mind there will be no return. The film leaves us with an open ending, and I think the ladder and what it means will help the viewer to give it the meaning they want. I think that this object is very well staged and its representation is magnificent. It reminds me of In Time by Nolan and the symbol of totems, the connection between worlds. So I see the meaning of the ladder. This has been my comment on the film, I hope you liked it. But did you see something different? do you think it could mean something else? What other details caught your attention in this movie? Do not stop commenting and giving your opinion, I say goodbye to you soon!

  12. Is The Joker the best movie of 2019? [ENG/ESP]@fabian981797d

    Hello everyone...

Today I was reviewing what were the movies that came out in 2019, a year before the pandemic took away the joy of seeing them in the cinema on the day of the ends, of course right now I do not even have to leave my house to see a movie, but the bad thing about this is that the quality of movies has declined quite a bit, leading large film companies to release visual or meaningless garbage, every week with resounding failures or with many viewers asking for something better.

Fortunately, 2019 gave us cinema gems that we remember fondly or that we sit down to watch every weekend, for example, we have Green Book, parasite, once upon a time in Hollywood, etc... But of all these the one that stands out the most for me was the long-awaited film of the joker, directed by Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix, tells the story of Arthur fleck a man with many problems and misfortunes in life that one day explodes becoming one of the most legendary villains of cinema.

    image.png SOURCE

I don't want to go into details about the soundtrack or the acting of the supporting characters, we all know it was extremely well crafted and everything came out perfect, rather today I want to talk about why for me this was the best movie that stood out in 2019 and that due to seeing deserved more than just best actor and best soundtrack.

1: The beginning is very different than anything mentioned above.

As we well know the Joker movie doesn't tell the typical villain's beginning, it doesn't show that he became a joker because he fell into a vat of acid or because his daddy slashed his face. Rather they show how a person is driven to the brink of madness when people treat him like dirt, lie to him, and fail to fall in love with the woman of his dreams.

In this movie we see that the joker begins to emerge when he murders 3 rich young men who were bothering a girl on a train, from that moment Arthur feels like a new world of possibilities has opened up, he also stops taking the medicine that controlled his laughter and begins to search for his purpose in life. And although he wants to be a comedian, his dreams are cut short when in front of many people mock him and humiliate him, which makes him finally become the Joker a symbol of anarchy and chaos, and finally leave Arthur Fleck in the past.

    giphy-17.gif SOURCE

2: A story similar to the one many people live.

Normally in Batman movies, we see a criminal, ruthless and murderous joker. For example in Batman dark knight, we see a joker who only seeks violence because for him a world without Batman is boring. A whole story full of action, but although it is excellent and intriguing, the truth is something completely unreal, around we do not see someone in a bat suit defeating evil at night or a villain killing gangsters or arming ships with bombs.

But if we now talk about Arthur Fleck's story, we notice that it is something that many people live and even more so during this pandemic where things get distressing for everyone. Since they are in low-paid jobs, the economic system is corrupt and unequal, the people around us only think of themselves and hurt others for fun, does this sound similar? since the beginning of this new millennium, the story of people is becoming more and more like that of Arthur Fleck and we see it daily in the news or on the internet.

    tenor.gif SOURCE

1 billion out of 55 million.

But apart from the story that involves you, it also has another aspect that makes it a very valued movie and is how profitable it was (I think it was the most profitable movie of 2019) Normally we see that the most famous stories of cinema have very bulky budgets, for example, Titanic in its 2 releases had an investment of $342 171 034, avengers end game had a budget that was around $400 million and avatar by James Cameron had an investment of $246 million. And although they were good at the box office, it took a lot of money for the production, while the joker only needed $55 million to make the whole movie, including advertising, payment to the actors, etc...

And although Titanic, avatar, or end game are the movies with the highest box office takings, the joker is the most profitable movie in history, since they recoded in box office more than $1 billion, which making calculations represent a 1930% profit, many said that the joker was going to fail for not having enough budget for a movie that is based on a comic book, but we saw how wrong they were.

    venice-joker.gif SOURCE

    More questions than answers

Another highlight of the story of Arthur Fleck, is that it is a film enclosed in much mystery and leaves clues or doubts everywhere, for example, is it everything that happened or was it just a figment of Arthur's imagination, if it was real was what happened and is the joker in the asylum telling his story? or Arthur was badly injured during the collision of the patrol and is about to die when he appears in the final scene?

Another doubt it leaves is, if Bruce Wayne was a kid in this movie, the joker we see in other movies is another one that takes the position as it happened in the Gotham series? or maybe the joker finds the source of ras al gul and that's why he is the same joker? or is this the story of one of the 3 jokers that have existed in the whole DC timeline? See? many doubts and few answers.

We also see how possibly The Joker and Batman are brothers, also at the end when Gotham city is in flames because of the anarchy started by Arthur, we see how a Joker sympathizer is the one who kills Bruce Wayne's parents giving the beginning of Batman's story as we know it. This is a whole movie that is surrounded by mysteries that will possibly be unveiled in other installments (if any) or in comics (if any, since this story is not from the original universe).

Anyway, these are some of the reasons why I think todd Phillips' joker is the best movie of 2019, maybe some other reasons are missing, but these are the main ones, leave me in the comments why do you think this movie deserves better recognition.

Thank you very much for reading, all the images I have taken from the internet and have their respective sources.

  14. Joker: some thoughts about the finale (ENG - ITA)@serialfiller2248d

    Tunnel Wave.png

Joker has driven half the world crazy. Todd Philips' film was not content with being a great film, excellent from the first to the last minute. With his final minutes he wanted to change everything, question everything and leave the spectators with a thousand worms in the brain. If you haven't seen the film, don't read on. Joker told the story of the origins of DC Comics' most famous villain. In spite of everything, the ending casts doubt that it was indeed the clown's Origin Story. The most accepted theory is that all we have seen is nothing but the fantasy of Arthur's hallucinatory mind. If this were the case, Arthur Fleck would not be Joker. This would explain why Bruce Wayne as a child coexists in the universe of an adult Joker. It would explain some inconsistencies or strange circumstances and above all it would throw even more chaos and mystery on the origins of the Joker. And this, for a character whose origin has never been explained, would give even more strength to the character himself. The film would therefore be nothing but a metaphor. The metaphor of a society devastated by personalities, corruption and blind to the suffering of others. The metaphor of a social redemption that generates or generates what everyone will know as a Joker for hotels in the mind of a poor madman.

    STEEMPOSSIBLE STORYCHAIN THEMAGAZINE.png

And to say that the title already suggested something. The most ardent fans had immediately seen as curious the choice to call the film "Joker" and not "The Joker". The film confirms that what we have seen is perhaps the genesis of the Joker as an entity but not of the Joker as a character. Arthur is not the Joker but he may be the one who will say it. Perhaps the Joker is not a person but an entity, a Banksy entity that embodies an ideal, albeit an evil one, and that makes a mockery of the person who plays the role of the clown, a bit like what happens with the Guy Fawkes mask for the anonymous movement. So what did we actually see happen? Who killed Thomas Wayne? Are Bruce and Arthur brothers? Murray Franklin really died? Unanswered questions that we could never understand as the final comment suggests. But what we have learned to understand very well is why Gotham and only Gotham gave birth to the Joker. Gotham had his hero but gave birth to his antihero well. Joker is the fruit of a sick society, as is often ours. Joker is born where the last ones are always the last ones. Joker lives when he realizes that it would be better to die. Joker proliferates when so many feel robbed and not just a few. Joker represents evil but not evil as an end in itself. Not a bad thing in search of personal revenge in search of redemption. It represents a very sick evil that finds its cure in violence, a violence against who and what generated that evil. No justification but a crude analysis of evil and illness as such. A film that speaks to us of Joker and not of The Joker therefore, and does it subtly and terribly without fear of disturbing our sleep with that evil and very sick laugh.

  15. Is Joker one of the most important movie ever? (ENG - ITA)@serialfiller2266d

    Tunnel Wave.png

Joker. "You wouldn't understand that." Perhaps we need to start from the cryptic ending and the title of the film to better examine it. Perhaps in the title and in the finale the "truth" of the most discussed film of 2019 is hidden. 2 elements to discern the film, to understand it, to tell ourselves that perhaps for 2 hours we had understood little about it and that perhaps the far too linear plot seen until then had been a giant mirror for larks. Joker has very little divided the public, which has adored him, but has divided so much the criticism and the film industry, especially overseas. Some have compared it, by scope, to Mechanical Orange. Others have called it a colossal mockery for its own sake. Still others believe that the Joker shows unnecessary violence. Others see in Todd Philipps' film a new life for cinecomics and for DC. The only certainty is that Joker has won his bet. He managed to be the first superhero film to win a prestigious award in an important international show like the one in Venice. He managed to fill the rooms for weeks even though it was forbidden to children under 14 years. He has succeeded in celebrating the most beloved villain of all time, adding everything and nothing to a story of origins never really faced in comics.

Joker.

    STEEMPOSSIBLE STORYCHAIN THEMAGAZINE.png

Thanks to Todd Philips and the cut he gave to the film. Merit of the mythology and myth of the Joker itself. Merit above all of those who lent the face and the physical to the character. Joaquin Phoenix has unleashed an acting test that will almost certainly be worth the Oscar. A transmuted, thin, frail physique and above all a distressing and contagious laugh that we will remember for years. Phoenix, as usual, falls completely into the character to introject it, leaving no more space between the actor and the character. Laughter has it, and it will end up owning us, in a constant anguish that the film projects on Arthur and on ourselves to then explode into a second violent, panting and tragic part as tragic is the whole life of the sad clown. Not even he will be able to understand if he ever really existed, so thin and alone was his life, amid mental disorders, removed violence and a society that has abandoned him on several occasions. The very existence of the Joker is questioned by himself and only at the end will we realize that in the end that doubt was nothing but a warning to a spectator too caught up in discovering the origins of the villain to risk losing important details on that that Philipps wanted to tell. What better way to write an origin story than if it was written to make it so believable that it made it look incredible? In a Gotham who has forgotten the last ones, they will be the last to rise and rise, bringing the city into chaos, the chaos that dominated Arthur's life and psyche and that now sees him king for a night, just to mention a film that for many is the main inspiration for this film. In the middle there is space for a De Niro that pierces the screen as always, for the Wayne family and the most famous double murder in the history of comics but there is no room for what the Dark Knight universe has always offered or Batman himself, his heroism and that of his family, indeed. The violence of this film is above all social rather than physical. There are violent scenes, but the film is disturbing above all for its ability to tell the madness and to try to justify if not the substance, its genesis. A multi-layered and complex film that explodes when it has to and that it builds when it has to end in one of the most enigmatic endings in the history of cinema. If you are afraid of calling it a masterpiece, don't worry. No need. Even if it were a masterpiece, YOU WOULD NOT UNDERSTAND IT!

  16. A detailed review of the Joker - When Silence Creates ...@reviewzzz2310d

It was clear from the start that the Joker movie is completely different from the comics and superheroes that have increased their production rates in recent years, rebelling against the usual technical ingredients in this style of films, and the most urgent question was whether this difference would be in his favor or would make it a scattering metamorphosis between artistic categories Differentiated, after the film was released internationally, we finally got the answer.

    image.png Image Source

The story of the Joker movie

Joker revolves around "Arthur Felix", the simple clown who aspires to be one of the most famous comedians, who suffers originally from mental and psychological dysfunction, who is exposed to many manifestations of oppression and persecution that lead to the worst thing being turned and turning into another person .. Multi-axis single-line Joker scenario

Joaquin Phoenix with the movie Joker

The Joker scenario follows a single major dramatic streak from start to finish and reviews its full events from the perspective and vision of one person, “Arthur Felk”, but he also - very literally - used the character to highlight the reality of Gotham City that suffers from various social diseases, unlike all The works that confronted this famous fantasy city - most notably the Batman movies - were not portrayed by an oppressed city that needs a savior descending from its sky as much as portraying a dark city deserving of a punishment that comes out of its land from the fabrication of its corrupt disjointed society.

He realized the scenario from the beginning that he was reviewing a story already known to the viewer and for this reason he did not rely on attracting his attention on the sequence of events as much as he relied on the character who mastered in drawing and showing its details to make it more interesting and made its internal psychological struggle a central axis for its construction, while the sequence of events was the second axis or Secondary, this does not mean - at all - the film is free of surprises and twists that the scenario excelled in employing at specific points to increase the dose of suspense and raise questions in the viewer motivating the viewer to continue following.

The Joker scenario was also characterized by a balanced rhythm that did not accelerate to the extent that it lost logic and created gaps in its construction and without slowing down to the degree that it expected in the monotony, which managed to attract the attention and focus of the recipient from the opening scene to the conclusion without feeling bored in any of the chapters of the film.

    Abstaining easy avatar

There is almost unanimity now that Joaquin Phoenix nominated the Academy Award for Best Leading Actor this year and some went further and asserted his eligibility to win, far from those expectations, Joaquin Phoenix presented an amazing performance for the character "Arthur Flick the Joker" came perfect and balanced and despite the strangeness of the character was not in His performance is minimal exaggeration or exaggeration.

Perhaps the most difficult test that Joaquin Phoenix faced was that the character was undergoing many transformations and radical changes within a short period of time; however, he managed to move between those stages in an easy and refrained manner and was completely calm. We have seen over the period of the show the personality of the Joker slowly dissolving from Arthur, It is lurking inside it since the first scene, but it gradually appears part of it, with every situation it is exposed to and every truth it discovers.

Joaquin Phoenix also excelled in reflecting the feelings of his conflicting and frustrated personality, whether feelings of oppression and sadness suffocated from the beginning or feelings of hatred and vengeance that are growing inside him gradually this in addition to feelings of hope in achieving the dream that was owned by him from time to time, all this through a person originally suffering from A degree of mental disorder, the most wonderful of which was the transition between all this very calm and poise.

    Production design

When dealing with the movie Joker, it is necessary to pause in front of the production design elements that were among the most prominent and influential artistic elements of the film and without them, it would have lost a great deal of its magnificence, as the locations of the carefully selected filming and the elements of the interior and exterior decoration express completely the location and time of the events.

Not only did the role of these elements stop us moving back in time several decades; it also contributed to the expression of the nature of life within Gotham City - the city of Satan - mired in chaos and demagoguery, which suffers from rampant class disease, as it includes a class of obscene people while most of its residents suffer - And among them is the main hero - of extreme poverty.

The design of the clothes was also very distinctive, especially the fashion of the personality of "Arthur Flick the Joker" in its various stages. Perhaps the most distinctive feature of it is that, despite its strange composition, it was completely realistic and in line with the era in which the events take place. Dark and faded colors derived from the depths of the wearer dominated it.

    The output

Director Todd Phillips' art history prior to Joker is limited to a number of comedic experiences, some of which were as distinct as The Hangover, despite his success, he did not draw enough attention to his director, which makes Joker definitely a watershed in his career.

Todd Phillips was able to present a very distinguished movie that can be comfortably classified in the list of the best films not only in 2019 but in recent years in general, as he excelled in combining his various artistic tools to present a cinematic image rich in detail, most of his cadres were impressive and expressive in terms of training, taking advantage of that Each item is available in front of colors, lighting and shades, along with shooting angles.

Todd Phillips was able to persuade the producing company to submit a film with a rating of (R), and he excelled in taking advantage of this opportunity that was not available to any director who presented the character "The Joker" in the past. Not to overuse this type of scenes.

(Joker, 2019)@panza2420d

    Joker1.jpg IMG

    Joker2.jpg IMG

  18. Joker is the must-watch movie of 2019@dedicatedguy2422d

I wasn't sure to write an article about this masterpiece because honestly, I wouldn't know where to start. There are simply too many things to say about this movie, but I will try to make a concise article about it anyway.

Among the things that I consider necessary to discuss we obviously have the spectacular work that Joaquin Phoenix does as the Joker, or rather, as the pre-Joker for reasons that I will explain later in the article. We can also discuss possible theories that offer a different interpretation of what we see on the screen, and finally, we could theorize about the reasons why this film has had such an impact, and why many people find it uncomfortable to watch it.

Let's start with the topic of Joaquin Phoenix. This is clearly a popular actor although personally I had never paid too much attention to him. In fact, a few years ago when I saw the movie "Her", I wasn't even aware of the actor's name. A few days before seeing the Joker, I decided watching 2 movies with this actor, specifically these movies were called "We own the night" and "The Master". Previously I had seen the one called "You were never really here", which similar to the classic "Taxi Driver" with De Niro.

Of all these, the one that I liked the most was "The Master", and it is the one that has the best performance of Phoenix that I have watched so far, not including Joker of course. But his performances weren't as amazing as the performances, for example, of Christian Bale in the early 2000s.

Even so, my "hype" didn't stop growing when reading and rereading critics about the incredible performance of Phoenix, and after having seen the film I can say the positive reviews were right. What a show it is to see this actor playing the pre-Joker and the entire process of mental and moral degeneration the character is experiencing as the movie progresses.

I think the training he had to have to imitate the typical laughter of the Joker and making it seem so natural is very close to what Colin Firth achieved with his stuttering in the movie "The King's Speech". A work that by the way, earned him an Oscar for best actor. Of course, a character like the Joker is much more than just unstoppable laughter, it is also madness, frustration and even sadness that end up degenerating into an embodied crime bomb. Joaquin Phoenix, of course, does an excellent job showing all this on-screen.

The best scene in the movie for me is the one with the stairs. A scene so iconic that even many people have gone to the same place to take pictures and record themselves trying to imitate the Joker. The good thing about this scene, which I leave the link below for you to see, is that it symbolizes the sudden freedom the character feels, and the final transition from the pre-Joker to the totally unleashed Joker. This scene doesn't contain spoilers. All we see is the Joker coming down some stairs, but if you want to reserve yourself and wait to see the full movie to enjoy it properly and with the necessary context, no problem.

    https://twitter.com/sherlwatson/status/1185238427337449473

I could only find this scene on Twitter, but if someone has another source, you are free to share it. It is difficult to get these scenes because the movie has not yet been digitally released.

The reasons why I use the term pre-Joker and not Joker, is because for a large part of the movie Phoenix doesn't play a criminal, but a potential criminal who has mental and family problems. Phoenix doesn't start the movie as a character as degenerated as the Joker.

This movie has its place in the history of cinema and surpasses other films about psychological degeneration such as The Shining or The machinist. The Joker is on another level.

Let's now discuss possible alternative theories about what we see on screen, although since I know using spoilers is rude, the only thing I can write is that the mental imbalance of this character may affect not only what he sees, but also what we see on-screen. Of course, this is a topic discussed only by fans, and this is generally left to everyone's interpretation. At the end of the post I will leave an article in Spanish where this topic is further expanded.

What we have left to discuss, is probably the most controversial point of the entire post because it can have political connotations, or in other words, our political ideas can influence the way we see the film and the way we theorize the reasons for its impact on people.

The film has had an impact first because it is simply very well acted and very well directed, but the Joker goes one step further, because the fascination it generates in many people is not explained just because it is very well acted or because DC Comics fans can finally see the origins of the most famous villain on the big screen, no, it is also explained by the messages the film shows about defects in human societies today. Especially about the tragic lack of guidance, sympathy and help towards men who are lost in their lives and the possible catastrophic consequences this malfunction of society can have. Not surprisingly, in this story the Joker had no father.

I guess people who don't like to face uncomfortable truths will feel, excuse me the redundancy, uncomfortable to see the Joker. On the other hand, in my opinion, people who prefer to see the world as it is and who have no problem with the "politically incorrect", can understand in a more accurate way how this film can relate to the real world, and therefore, can appreciate this movie at a much deeper level.

The articles that I mentioned in the post are the following:

The first is written in Spanish by Juan C. Sosa Azpúrua and contains many spoilers. He wrote the whole story of what happens in the film but with very interesting observations, so it is preferable to read it after having seen the film: https://ideasjcsa.com/2019/10/12/joker-la-vida-es-sueno/

The other article, this one in English, is written by Milo Yiannopoulos and details many possible links between what we see in the movie and trends we see in the real world. It is also advisable to read it after watching the movie: https://summit.news/2019/11/01/why-im-counting-on-generation-joker/

    Both are highly recommended readings.

  20. Joker – Movie Review@readingdanvers2423d

    joker.jpg

Well, this is a brilliant movie. Before walking into the theater I was sure that it was just over hyped. The trailers were disturbing, but I wasn't sure it was enough to hold up an entire movie. I was wrong. This movie is just one long punch to the gut.

Joker is directed and written by Todd Phillips. Up until now, his most famous directing job was directing the Hangover movies. Talk about a change in direction. He did a brilliant job. There are so many moments in the movie that you think to yourself, not only does this movie have a brilliant script, but it is also crafted beautifully and powerfully.

I guess have already heard that Joaquin Phoenix did an amazing job in this movie. But I'll say it again, Joaquin Phoenix is brilliant in this movie. He basically carries the entire movie on his frail shoulders. All the other actors' parts can be considered as cameos. They did a splendid job, but their roles are very small. This movie is the Joaquin Phoenix show. Even Robert De Niro who was more prominent in the trailer has a really small role in this movie. So yeah, Joaquin Phoenix should win an Oscar for his performance, but as I will explain later, I don't think that he will.

The movie follows Arthur Fleck played fantastically by Joaquin Phoenix. Fleck has a neurological problem that causes him to laugh uncontrollably when he is uncomfortable in a manner that is sometimes unappropriated to the situation that he is in. He is also a resident of the less fortunate side of Gotham city. He is poor and he lives with his mentally ill mother. He does his best to take care of her and himself. He works as a clown for a living. His life is basically miserable. The people that he works with mostly dislike him and people around him either dislike him and or they ignore him or they treat him badly in many different ways.

Sure, this is a Joker origin story which makes it technically a comic book movie. But it is mainly a social commentary movie. This movie is pointing a finger at our society and accuses us of treating people with mental disabilities, physical disabilities and poor people terribly. And also casts a terrible light on the phenomena of people always standing in the sideline and not stepping forward to help others who are in need of their help. Even the media is getting blamed in this movie for their support for the more fortunate people. Which is why I think this movie won't get any Oscar nominations, the media won't respect those who criticize it. With all the fingers being pointed at different directions this movie just keeps you feeling terrible from the beginning until the unavoidable ending.

In The Killing Joke by Alan Moore, the Joker famously says: "All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day." The Joker in this movie has a lot of bad things happening to him and he is not so sane from the start. So yeah, you can understand him, even though the movie doesn't represent any of the events in a positive light; not what happens to the Fleck, but also not what the Fleck does once he becomes the Joker. However, in my opinion, the movie manages to convey that the Joker can stand for anyone. Anyone can end up in his place. That is so terrible and powerful at the same time.

Despite all of what I have written and everything that we know about the Joker from comics and previous iterations on the big screen, this movie is full of surprises. There are moments in this movie that will leave you shocked and the twists will leave your mouth hanging open. This movie is so good that it is hard to believe that it's a DC movie.

So yeah, I know that no one asked for this movie, because the Joker shouldn't have an origin story. But this is not exactly an origin movie as you will find out from watching. But you must watch it. Even you are not a fan of comic book movies, this movie is different and is a totally must see.

  22. Joker: let's discuss about the Finale@serialfiller2441d

  23. Joker: masterpiece or not, it's one of the most important movies of all time@serialfiller2443d

  24. JOKER - Who he really is? (Spoiler review)@nazirullsafry2447d

    joker-trailer.jpg

Apart from the popular interpretation of **Joker** being a social commentary of how mental health should be taken more seriously, the crippling down of the society and **Arthur Fleck** being the by-product of the system, there is I think one more logical theory on what **Joker** actually is.

Joker is an allegory of the director, Todd Phillips

Todd Phillips bemoans the state of society after the backlash he suffers from his comedy films. Especially the backlash by the 'Woke' culture.

In one interview with Vanity Fair, Phillips explained: "Go try to be funny nowadays with this woke culture. There were articles written about why comedies don’t work anymore—I’ll tell you why, because all the fucking funny guys are like, ‘Fuck this shit, because I don’t want to offend you.’ It’s hard to argue with 30 million people on Twitter."

Like in the movie, Arthur's stand up comedies are not being well received by the crowd. Even after he takes note on what makes the crowd (society) laughs prior to that. The scene shows that he has a different sense of humor when he laughs alone whilst the crowd isn't.

    joker1.jpg

**Joker** is set in the 1980s Gotham. While it is a chronological to go back where Bruce Wayne is young, it also to pay tribute to the films from that era where **Todd Phillips** is heavily influenced, mainly those by **Martin Scorsese** like **"King of Comedies"** and **"Taxi Driver"** (and where this movie draws template from). Martin Scorsese also co-produce **Joker**.

In the finale where Arthur is the guess in the Murray Franklin show, this is where it is actually Todd Phillips talking to the mass and the media.

Murray Franklin: Let me get this straight, you think that k*lling those guys is funny?

Arthur Fleck: I do. And I’m tired of pretending it’s not. Comedy is subjective, Murray. Isn’t that what they say? All of you, the system that knows so much, you decide what’s right or wrong. The same way that you decide what’s funny or not.

    Audience Member: Get him off!

Right after Arthur shoots dead Murray Franklin, there's a scene in room where multiple TV screen showing multiple coverage of the shooting with someone smoking cigarette in the lower foreground. That is someone who is in control of the media and he is witnessing what the Joker (Todd Phillips) is saying. Message delivered.

    Joker3.jpg

In the final scene in Arkham State Hospital, he was asked by the Social Worker why he is laughing so much and ask to share the joke. **Arthur** said, **"…You wouldn’t get it."**. I think he is implying how many people who does not get that **Joker** is not a DC supervillian origin movie. It is about **Todd Phillips's** lamentation on the death of comedy itself. In the early days of production he was asked about the genre of **Joker** and he said its **'tragedy'**.

Arthur said “I used to think that my life was a tragedy. But now I realise, it’s a comedy.”

Al-Jafree Md Yusop in one of his talks said something that writers will write sad stories when we are happy, and comedies when we are sad. And most film directors will make film about themselves more than about others. This is also closely similar to what Ang Lee does with Life of Pi. In one of his talk, Hassan Muthalib decrypts the whole film as Ang Lee criticising Hollywood.

This might explain why this film is on its own and not connected to any DC's cinematic universe.

The upper class laughs at Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times" is also laughing at the depression suffered by the Gotham's lower class. Arthur laughs because he understands the joke in it. Frank Sinatra's "Send in the clowns" playing in the end credit is like a mourning tunes towards the death of cinema. Send in the clowns is a theater reference when the show is not doing well, send in the clowns.

Cinema is not doing well. Send in the clowns.

  25. Joker Movie Review - When boredom drives you crazy@reviewzzz2452d

Preparation for the film Joker was announced in 2017 and since then, thanks to the overwhelming popularity of the character has been included in the lists of films awaiting, the degree of anticipation of the film increased after his successes in the international cinematic events in which he participated, the film starring Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro and directed by Todd Phillips Who also wrote the script in conjunction with Scott Silver.

It was clear from the beginning that Joker is completely different from comics and superheroes whose production rates have increased in recent years, rebelling against the usual artistic elements of this type of film, and the most pressing question was whether this difference will be in his favor or will make it a scattered monster between the rankings Mixed, after the release of the film internationally we finally got the answer.

    The story of the movie

Joker revolves around Arthur Felix, a simple clown who aspires to be one of the most famous comedians and who suffers from mental and psychological disorders.

    Joker single-line multi-axis script

The Joker script follows a single major dramatic line from start to finish and reviews its entire events from the perspective and vision of one person, Arthur Felke, but he also - very professionally - used the character to highlight the reality of Gotham City, which suffers from various social diseases, unlike all The works that confronted this famous fantasy city - most notably Batman films - were not portrayed by a dark city that needed a savior to descend from its skies as much as a dark city deserving of punishment punished out of its own corrupt society.

The script realized from the outset that it was reviewing a story already known to the viewer, so he did not draw as much attention on the sequence of events as he relied on the character who mastered in drawing and showing its details to make it more interesting and made its internal psychological struggle a central focus of its construction, while the sequence of events was the second axis or This does not mean, at all, that the film is free of surprises and distortions that the scenario excelled in using them at specific points to increase the dose of suspense and raise questions in the viewer motivate him to continue to follow.

The Joker scenario was also characterized by a balanced rhythm that did not accelerate to the degree of loss of logic and create gaps in its construction and without slowing down to the degree that he expected in the monotony trap, thus able to attract the attention and focus of the receiver from the opening scene to the conclusion without feeling bored any chapter of the film.

    Easy refrain embodiment

There is now almost unanimous opinion that Joaquin Phoenix was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Lead Actor this year and some went further and asserted his eligibility to win. Beyond those expectations, Joaquin Phoenix made a spectacular performance for Arthur Felic / Joker, who was perfect, and despite the strangeness of personality. In his performance the slightest exaggeration or exaggeration.

    Production design

When it comes to the film Joker must stop in front of the elements of production design, which was one of the most prominent and influential artistic elements of the film and without losing a great deal of magnificence, where the locations of photography - carefully selected - and elements of the interior and exterior decor fully reflect the place and time of events.

The role of these elements not only moved us back decades, but also contributed to the expression of the nature of life in Gotham, the city of Satan, which is mired in chaos and demagoguery, which suffers from rampant class disease, which includes a category of super-rich while most of its population suffers - And including the main hero - from extreme poverty.

    Directing

Director Todd Phillips's history before Joker is limited to a number of comedy experiences, some of which were as distinct as The Hangover, which despite his success did not draw enough attention to his director, making Joker certainly a watershed in his career.

Todd Phillips has been able to present a very distinctive film that can comfortably be included in the list of the best films not only in 2019 but in recent years in general. He has excelled in combining his various artistic tools to provide a cinematic picture rich in detail. Most of his cadres are impressive and expressive in terms of composition using this. Each element is available in front of it colors, lighting and shades beside the shooting angles.

    My opinion on the film

We put Joker before the screening before a pressing question and after the screening asked another more urgent question, how much impact on the future comics? Can he open the door to more bold, out-of-the-box experiments, including projects that have already been neglected, such as Darren Arnowski's Batman: Year One? We will wait for an answer, but I think the answer will be “yes” and no. We wait a long time.

    My Rating 9.5/10

  29. A Joker review (from a person who doesn't like Joaquin Phoenix)@unbiasedwriter2457d

This Friday, I got the chance to go to the cinema again. There wasn't so much to watch, but Joker had just gotten to my local cinema. As a result, I ended up watching Joker. I had read lots of awesome reviews of the movie, and especially reviews that dealt with Joaquin Phoenix in his role as the Joker. Well, I strongly dislike the guy, and even though I know he is a good actor, I never really enjoyed the movies in which he played.

I remember 18 months ago, I got a chance to watch You Were Never Really Here in the cinema before it was actually released. I suffered myself through the movie, and I was totally incapable of enjoying the movie, nor the acting of Joaquin Phoenix.

In other words, I didn't really look forward to watching Jokes as well... but there weren't other movies worth watching, so I decided to give it a chance.

I admire the one who wrote the story!

After watching the movie, I felt as if this was to the Batman movies, what Star Wars: Rogue One was to the Star Wars universe. It was a story that completed the stories we already know, without bugging or making any serious changes to them.

Before I went, I had also heard rumors about this movie being without Batman. Could it be so? Well, yeah - simply because this isn't a movie about Batman, it is about Joker, his childhood, and how he grew into becoming the person we have seen in so many other movies already, portrayed by Jack Nicholsen and Heath Ledger. And, for some reason, the role of the Joker seems to require a lot from the actors, and Heath Ledger actually got an Oscar for the way he interpreted and played the character.

But, what about Joaquin Phoenix, a guy I do not like at all?

The movie is all about Joaquin Phoenix

I admired the ones who wrote the story, but the movie is all about Joker. There are few other actors actually playing an important role in the movie. One could say that Robert de Niro has an important role, but he doesn't really get that much screentime either. It is all about Joker.

And believe me or not... even though I strongly dislike Joaquin Phoenix, I cannot do anything else but to give him an Oscar for his role as the Joker. It was incredible, and the way he played the role made me simply admire him for his job. As he dances around, starts to laugh, stops laughing, tells a joke, feels sorry for himself, speaks about his own sorrows and feelings... it is just simply a masterpiece!

To be honest, I can't remember any single movie I have seen in which I have felt the same way about an actor as I did about Joaquin Phoenix in the Joker... he was stunning.

I didn't like it when Leonardi di Caprio got an Oscar for his role in The Revenant. It felt to me as if he got it, simply because he had failed at getting an Oscar so often before. I have my doubts about whether Heath Ledger would have gotten the Oscar for his role as the Joker if it hadn't been for his tragic death some months before the Oscars.

But this time, if Joaquin Phoenix doesn't receive an Oscar for this, I guess nobody would really ever deserve such a statue.

    Joker conclusion

This is a masterpiece, not only because of Joaquin Phoenix but also because the story gives so much support to what we already know about Gotham city and what is to come...

Is it brutal? Well, probably/maybe... but I simply enjoyed the acting so much that I didn't really give it much thought...

  30. JOKER Movie Review@filotasriza32459d

2 days ago i saw one of the most anticipated movies of the year! You know which one i am talking about, there is no need to tell you. Just check the title or maybe you would like to hear a joke?

    Knock Knock

    Who's there?

    It's me Joker!

Because i am in a good mood let me assure you that there will be NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW, or at least big ones. In other words sit back, grab a bag full of chips or a cup full of hot chocolate and enjoy reading this post! If you don't enjoy it, it will hurt my feelings and then i will find you!

    A Bit Of Plot

The movie takes place in Gotham City during the 80s. Joker or Arthur Fleck as they know him is portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix who in my opinion gave his everything in this movie. Anyway, Arthur Fleck lived all his life in Gotham city, a city that is presented to be full of unfairness and struggles. There is a huge power gap between the rick and the poor and most of the city is full trash, rats, drugs and ofc poverty.

Arthur works as a clown for a clown agency (yep it's true, there are these kind of agencies as well) but his utter goal is to become a stand up comedian and finally show up in a national television talk show in which his idol Murray Franklin(Robert De Niro) hosts.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t433PEQGErc

Also, Arthur lives with his mom in a small apartment and is taking care of her. At the same time he struggles with his issues both economical and mental. The economical part is because the clown job pay isn't that good while at the same time is considered a creep from his co-workers and he even gets bullied by random street punks.

Regarding his mental issues, he seems to have a lot, as he is taking a lot of medications, he is talking with a therapist and he is also under a condition in which he randomly laughs for a sort period. Imagine for example being in a funeral and you burst in laughs... well something like this .

During the course of the movie that's revolving around Arthur, making everyone else looking like an extra, we get to see how many "slaps" from life Arthur is keep on receiving and how slowly but steadily he becomes to what we know as Joker.

    My Thoughts

I enjoyed the movie so much that i caught myself thinking "finally a fucking great movie". It felt like i was watching a movie that will get written down in history and be in the pantheon of movies. It reminds me the Titanic for example. All those people that watched in the cinema when it first came out can proudly say "I WAS THERE" :P

    or with Deadpool :p

I have seen way too many superhero/antihero/villain  movies and series but this was something else. First of all, i really enjoyed the whole turn to realism-drama merged with the dark element and ofc DC universe. Secondly, the pace that the the movie was developing, was very structured and careful. Many people in different scenes will feel like " I've been there" or "i have a friend who've been there" and as natural feel sorry about Arthur.

Life is unfair we all know it and this movie pretty much makes it seem more like a fact than an old saying!

Now regarding the action/violence scenes and acting. As far as it concerns the action or violence scenes don't expect that many i have to tell you that. There is a but though and as i said it may not have that many but that's the point. Allow me to explain what i mean and thank for allowing it in advance! What the Director wanted was just a few action/violence scenes but those to be socking and brutal. He achieved this greatly and i can tell because a couple of people around me in the cinema yelled at some of those scenes "WOW" "WTF" "FUCK" or just jumped a bit from their sits.

About the acting i could easily make another post. Joaquin Phoenix was legendary, he outperformed himself you could say. He had to change multiple times things like his walk, his stance, his facial expressions, his laugh, everything. In many scenes he both laughs while crying and being sad at the same time! Literally, it's like you are watching a movie with only him acting and even if you change all of the other actors the result will be the exactly the same!

    My Rating

    9.5/10

Joker most known origin story is that he fell down to a tank full of chemical waste but in this movie the chemical waste are the society itself!

  31. I Have No Words For Joker@artgirl2460d

No, I will not spoil the Joker movie for you. I would like you to see it for yourself.

    xo4bfblonz.jpg

I have no words and yet I will try my best to share more about it.

Seeing just the sneak peak and trailers made me excited to watch it. Finally watched it earlier and it left me dazed at how astounding it is.

I've read some people say there are flaws to it and all that. Yes the pacing wasn't as fast as I'd like it to be in the first hour. That's fine. The kicker is in the second hour. It did not disappoint. Oh not at all.

Definitely, definitely, it's something you should watch if you've ever felt wretched. Or if you've ever felt your life is pathetic and other people keep bringing you down. Watch it if you've gone past that stage and you know what it takes to fight off those demons. Enjoy the thrill, the freedom and experience his life upon becoming The Joker.

Feel the sadness of it all. Share the pain. And think of how it feels like being on the opposite end of the spectrum, being the victim and continuing to be the victim.

I'm not saying Joker is right, he's just doing it the only way he knows. And that's sad when it happens. It's sad but it happens, especially when people aren't kind.

If I'm not making sense to you then perhaps don't watch the movie. If you didn't enjoy the trailer then don't bother watching it. Your curiousity might be a waste of time. Trust me.

Those who could relate to Split and the Beast's statement of being "pure" would find Joker mindblowing and/or satisfying. Suffice it to say, if you've never known any kind of anguish and anger at the world then it's not for you. 🤷

All that's left for me to say is it's the perfect prequel to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Oh it just fits right in. 🎉👏

Here, watch the final trailer. Watch before you see the glory of Joker.

    XOXO, @artgirl
