But what begins as a series of gags about chewed shoes and ruined furniture slowly transforms into one of the most honest stories about the inevitable passage of time and the development of married life. The central focus of the film revolves around the concept of unconditional love. It’s an adventure that uses the companionship of an unpredictable pet you can’t control, but whose unconditional love is always present.
What’s fascinating about "Marley & Me" is that the dog functions as a supporting character; Marley is the thread running through the lives of John and Jenny Grogan. Some couples adopt pets and treat them like the children they might someday have together, like "practicing" caregiving, but I believe the responsibilities of a dog cannot be compared to those of a baby or child. Y sí, durante su primera mitad, la película cumple exactamente con esa promesa.
Pero lo que empieza siendo una serie de gags sobre zapatos mordidos y muebles destrozados, se transforma lentamente en uno de los relatos más honestos sobre el inevitable paso del tiempo y el desarrollo de la vida matrimonial. El foco central del filme gira en torno al concepto del amor incondicional. Es una aventura que usa la compañía de una mascota impredecible que no puedes controlar, pero cuyo amor incondicional esta siempre presente.
Lo fascinante de "Marley & Me" radica en que el perro funciona como un personaje de apoyo, Marley es el hilo conductor de la vida de John y Jenny Grogan. Lo que hace que esta película sea tan emocional es su inevitable desenlace. Si tienes un perro o si alguna vez tuviste la suerte de compartir tu vida con un perro, sabrás que la responsabilidad de cuidar incluye la garantía de un agudo dolor.
