This is the story of a girl with no friends. A girl who, overwhelmed by the reality she had to navigate in one of the most prosperous, advanced, and technologically developed societies in human history, turned to her imagination and, above all, her creativity. As an amateur artist, she began creating a series of manga that eventually became the world-famous anime that made her a household name. Through those stories, she gave life to the friendships and connections she had longed for but never truly experienced herself. And that is how Sailor Moon was born.

As you can probably tell, the story is not nearly as simple as it seemed when we were sitting on our couches as children, completely absorbed by our favorite anime playing on television. I understand that Sailor Moon was never quite as popular among boys as it was among girls, but what fascinates me most is the idea that loneliness, a lack of empathy, and the feeling of not being fully understood were the very things that fueled the creative spirit of its creator, Naoko Takeuchi. A chemical engineer by profession, she nevertheless created a story that would become unforgettable for billions of people around the world.

And that is how we arrive at a tale about schoolgirls fighting fantastic villains while slowly discovering the harshness of the world and the bitterness of pain. Somehow, that story resonated deeply with all of us. Even today, the legacy of Sailor Moon remains remarkably strong. Personally, I find it difficult to believe anyone can honestly say they never wished they belonged to a group like the one portrayed in this series. There are details you can only fully appreciate once you've left behind the innocence and idealism of childhood. No male character in the series ever mattered more than the bond shared between Sailor Moon and her friends, the other Sailor Guardians. That spirit of "all for one and one for all" feels both beautiful and slightly utopian. Deep down, I am now roughly the same age that Takeuchi was when she first created this story, and because of that, I can understand certain things that never would have crossed my mind years ago.

For me, Sailor Moon is an icon, a masterpiece, and a huge part of both my life and my identity. It connects me to a period of loneliness that shaped my personality in ways that still linger today. At the same time, it has become part of the legacy I share with my daughter. I trust that when she grows older and becomes more aware of the complexities of life, she will understand many of the things that now seem like simple anecdotes or small details.

You might be wondering whether an anime about magical girls and fantasy adventures can really be that meaningful. Unequivocally, yes. And I know I am far from alone in feeling that way. Not because I am a woman, but because countless men watched it too, connected with it, and loved it just as much. Beneath the transformations, the romance, and the fantasy lies something universal: the longing to belong, to be understood, and to find people who make the world feel a little less lonely.

Some time ago I used this technique and wanted to revisit it with this Sailor Moon drawing. This technique isn't easy to master, but if we put our minds to it and practice, we can achieve great results. It's called a hybrid collage and drawing technique, and it involves drawing the other half of a photograph or image, either digitally or with a pencil.

I used to do it with a graphite pencil, and now I'm using it in my Paint 3D program, which I find very practical because it has the range of colors I need when adding color to my drawings. So, I took this image of Sailor Moon and started drawing the other half with my digital pen and graphics tablet.

When I was finishing the coloring, I noticed some details that I then refined until I achieved the result I'm showing you and sharing so you'll be inspired to try it yourselves.

Hace un tiempo apliqué esta técnica y quise retomarla con este dibujo de Sailor Moon. Esta técnica no es fácil de utilizar, pero si nos proponemos y practicamos, podemos obtener un gran resultado. Esta técnica se llama híbrida de collage y dibujos y se trata de dibujar la otra mitad de alguna fotografía o imagen que puede ser digitalmente o con un lápiz.

Yo lo hacía en ocasiones con un lápiz de grafito y ahora la estoy aplicando en mi programa de Paint 3D, que me resulta muy práctico porque tiene la gama de colores que necesito al momento de ponerle color a mis dibujos. Así que tomé esta imagen de Sailor Moon y comencé a dibujar su otra mitad con mi lápiz digital y mi tableta gráfica.

Cuando ya estaba terminando de colorear, me fijé en algunos detalles que luego fui mejorando hasta obtener el resultado que les muestro y comparto para que se animen a realizarlos ustedes también.

Me gusta innovar mis dibujos siempre cuando utilizo el lápiz, pero muchas veces me provoca, como en este caso, hacerle algunos toques con el programa de Paint y me gustó el resultado, ya que, sin exagerar, lo utilicé muy poco.

Sailor Moon is an icon, a marvel, and a massive fragment of my existence and my life. It ties me to a period of solitude that shaped my personality to this day, but it is also part of the inheritance I share with my little daughter. I trust that when she is older, and therefore more aware, she will understand many things that now seem like mere anecdotes and small details. I wanted to talk about Sailor Moon this week, since I've been seeing a lot of Sailor Moon merchandise lately, and I found it curious that the art style is more like the 90s version than the 2014 version, the latter being more faithful to the original work. I think the character designs have a lot to do with it, since most people prefer the classic ones, but to avoid going into too much detail, I'll just share my opinions on the two versions and the differences between them, both the ones you find online and my own perspective.

Sailor moon Crystal (美少女戦士セーラームーン Crystal)…

It premiered in 2014 and had several seasons. The first season was divided into two arcs with a total of 26 episodes; the third season (since the second arc is considered the second season) had 13 episodes in total, and there were two movies, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos. All of them had changes not only in the art style but also in the direction, so I'm not including that part. The studio in charge was Toei Animation, and this magical girl anime falls into the genres of drama, romance, fantasy, comedy, and science fiction.

Regarding the plot…

The story is almost the same as the one we know—no, just kidding, it changes in many aspects, especially with the relationships between the characters. Anyway, we have our protagonist, Usagi Tsukino, a somewhat clumsy and crybaby high school girl, who meets a black cat named Luna. Luna reveals to her that she is a Sailor Guardian destined to protect the Earth. Her first mission is simple but vital: to gather four other guardians (Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus) to protect a mysterious princess and an artifact of infinite power called the Silver Crystal.

As the team takes shape, Usagi becomes entangled in a tragic and profound romance with Tuxedo Mask, an enigmatic young man searching for the same crystal. They soon discover that their destinies are not coincidental, but rather the echo of an ancient past in a lunar kingdom destroyed by envy and hatred. More characters are introduced, who will be key to our protagonist's growth.

Personal opinion

I know that I found out at the time that the Sailor Moon story wasn't very faithful to the manga, so when I heard they were going to remake it, following the original work, I was excited. However, the animation at the beginning wasn't to my liking at all; the aesthetic felt flat and very video game-like. And the transformations! 😕 Ugh, no, I thought they were awful. I couldn't keep watching. But, when I saw that after the third season, the character designs improved a lot, I watched all the previous seasons. And well, the story wasn't quite there, though. I did encounter some surprises, though. For example, and SPOILER ALERT, Princess Serena committed suicide when Prince Endymion was killed. Whoa, that was a huge shock.

As I said, after the third season, the animation and art improved significantly, and both movies are even considered to have cinematic-level quality, with vibrant colors and a fluidity that Crystal deserved from day one. As I mentioned, the story is faithful to the manga, which also means there's no filler, making it a shorter and more concise format; I like that in this one, Mamoru (Darien) gains more power and has a much warmer and more protective personality.

One thing that many may not like is its difference from the 90s version. Here, the female friends have more of a bodyguard-like relationship than a true friendship; they don't have those episodes dedicated to their hobbies or personal fears because the script doesn't allow for pauses. Ultimately, I can say that this version is dark fantasy, and many argue that the characters have finally been given justice.

-Faithful to the manga, so its shorter format is smoother to watch.

-Beautiful animation, only from season 3 onwards, but I understand they fixed those details in the Blu-ray version, so that's an extra point for that.

If you were a fan of the manga and didn't think the 90s version did it justice, while those of us who grew up with that version might find it an abrupt and jarring change in some ways, I don't think it's so bad. I found it to be a much more developed and visually appealing experience, especially with the Sailor Cosmo theme and all that.

Quise hablar de Sailor moon esta semana, ya que he estado viendo como mucho merch de la misma y se me hizo curioso que el arte corresponde más al de la versión de los 90 que la 2014, esta última que fue más como fiel a la obra original. Yo creo que es el diseño de los personajes que influye mucho en ello, pues la mayoría prefiere al clásico, pero para no entrar más en contexto, les dejaré mis opiniones de la misma y las diferencias que hay una con la otra, tanto la que se consigue en internet como desde mi punto de vista.

En cuanto a la trama…

La historia es casi igual a la que conocemos, no, mentira, si cambia en muchos aspectos, sobre todo con las relaciones de los personajes, unos que eran villanos porque si en las de los 90 y aquí vienen siendo otra cosa, sucesos que no ocurrieron de la misma forma, en fin, tenemos a nuestra protagonista, Usagi Tsukino, una chica de secundaria algo torpe y llorona, que conoce a una gata negra llamada Luna. Esta le revela que es una Guerrero Guardiana (Sailor Guardian) destinada a proteger la Tierra; su primera misión es sencilla pero vital: reunir a otras cuatro guardianas (Mercury, Mars, Jupiter y Venus) para proteger a una misteriosa princesa y un artefacto de poder infinito llamado el Cristal de Plata.

A medida que, el equipo se va concretando Usagi se ve envuelta en un romance trágico y profundo con Tuxedo Mask, un joven enigmático que busca el mismo cristal. Pronto descubren que sus destinos no son casualidad, sino el eco de un pasado antiguo en un reino lunar destruido por la envidia y el odio y, sucesivamente se van introduciendo más personajes, que, serán claves para el crecimiento de nuestra protagonista.

Opinión personal

Sé que, en su momento me enteré que la historia de Sailor Moon no fue muy fiel que se diga al manga, por lo que, al saber que harían un remake de la misma, siguiendo la obra original, pues me emocioné, sin embargo, pues la animación en ese inicio no fue para nada de mi agrado, la estética se sentía plana y muy de videojuego, dígame las transformaciones 😕, uy no, se me hacía horrenda, no podía seguir viéndola, pero, al ver que después de la 3 temporada, mejoró mucho el diseño de sus personajes, pues me calé todas las anteriores y bueno, mal que si mal la historia, pues no estaba, aunque si me topo como sorpresas los cambios, ejemplo y ALERTA SPOILER, el que la princesa serena se suicidio cuando el príncipe Endimion lo mataron, whoaaa, eso fue un choque muy grande.

Como dije, ya después de la tercera temporada, mejoro por mucho la animación y el dibujo, e incluso catalogan ambas películas con una calidad de nivel cinematográfico, con colores vibrantes y una fluidez que Crystal mereció desde el día uno. Como dije, la historia es fiel al manga y eso también hace que no haya relleno, por lo que es un formato como más corto y conciso; me gusta que en esta mamoru (Darien) obtenga como más poder y con una personalidad mucho más cálida y protectora.

Una cosa que, muchos pueden no agradarles y es su diferencia con las de los 90, aquí sus amigas tienen esa relación como más de guardaespaldas que de amiga como tal, no tienen esos episodios dedicados a sus hobbies o miedos personales porque el guion no permite pausas. En definitiva, puedo decir que esta versión es de fantasía oscura y que, muchos argumentan que por fin se les hizo justicia a sus personajes.

Si eras fan del manga y no te parecía que la de las 90 le hacía justicia, mientras quienes crecimos con esa versión, pues puede parecernos un cambia abrupto y chocante en algunas cosas, pero, no la veo tan mal, se me hizo una experiencia visual y bastante más desarrollada, sobre todo con el tema de sailor cosmo y eso.

I haven't seen Sailor Moon Crystal, but I've heard great things about it. ›Review: “Sailor Moon” Arco final (sailor stars) comparación versión 90s y crystal (esp-eng)@issymarie2273d
Abrasoles amigos amantes del anime.

Si de algo puedo jactarme con sinceridad, es de ser una moonie de corazón, ya que mi lema siempre será soy sailor moon y te castigaré en el monte de la luna.

Y es que esté anime me atrapó como si hubiese sido la red y yo el pez en el mar. Desde su primer episodio hasta el último, con relleno incluido, y es que debo decir que no me salte ningún episodio y lo vi con repeticiones y todo. Seguí las aventuras de estas guerreras qué iban con todo “sino pa’que” y peleaban hasta conseguir sus propósitos. La paz y la armonía era lo que anhelaban y también disfrutar del amor y la amistad.

Usagi Tsukino en su idioma original, Serena Tsukino en su versión doblada al español, sin embargo en ambas versiones el mismo espíritu de bondad, una chica débil y llorona qué sacaba fuerzas quien sabe donde para abatir sus miedos y lanzarse a la victoria.

Así que si, esta vez les hablare de Sailor Moon, más no de su historia, que esa la conocemos todos, ya que Sailor Moon es como la madre del anime, así que esta vez les compartiré diferencias y similitudes del último arco de la serie titulado: “Sailors Star”.

Trama y comparación + opinión

En el último arco en la versión de los 90s la comenzamos con una Usagi bastante triste en el aeropuerto despidiendo a su eterno amor Mamoru Chiba también conocido como Darién en su versión doblada al español. En esta parte ambos caminan juntos por el aeropuerto, mismo sitio donde se realiza el primer encuentro entre Usagi y Seiya Ko.

Posterior a ese encuentro no registrado en la memoria de Usagi y despedida de su eterno amor la trama continúa en medio de las batallas, nuevas amistades, conflictos amorosos, dolor y angustia, la incertidumbre se hace más frecuente y al final el sacrificio en nombre del amor y la amistad.

Ahora veamos la versión crystal

Al igual que en su versión de los 90s, el arco de crystal inicia bastante similar, sin embargo en esta parte Mamoru es atacado y aniquilado frente a Usagi por la mismísima Sailor Galaxia sin embargo, Usagi olvida dicho evento siendo rescatada por Seiya Ko. En este punto las batallas se vuelven más explícitas y la aparición de personajes nuevos es más reducida.

Lo que sí podemos agradecer en ambas versiones es que la emoción se ofrece en cada segundo dejando a los fans con un claro reflejo de agrado. Sin embargo, al entrar en las comparaciones podemos destacar que la versión crystal se aferró fielmente al manga original, recreando batallas de manera más explícita dejando ver las emociones y frustraciones de nuestra heroína.

No obstante, lo que me dejó un sinsabor de boca es que en su versión crystal, este último arco al volverse una película hizo avanzar todo de manera demasiado rápido, siento que se nos arrebato como espectadores esa parte de “disfrutar” aún más de su trama, ya que tenía potencial extremo para haber sido un arco de varios episodios así como lo hicieron con las primeras entregas.

Por otro lado, en su versión noventera, la trama fue extensa, incluyendo episodios relleno los cuales a mi ver aportaron risas y humor y que así el drama y la tensión se guardarán para los capítulos de cierre. Aunque, en la versión de los 90s quedaron muchas interrogantes, por ejemplo: el que Chibi-Chibi no fuese reconocida como Sailor Cosmos y la hayan encajado en ser meramente la luz de la esperanza de la misma Sailor Galaxia.

Esa parte sí se agradece en su versión Crystal, ya que las interrogantes qué habíamos tenido hasta la fecha fueron desveladas, por otro lado, la incorporación de Chibiusa “Rini” en la versión doblada al español, hace su aparición para ir en ayuda de su madre, por otro lado el cuarteto amazonas reaparece como las protectoras de la pequeña dama.

En otro punto con respecto a la versión de los 90s, podemos disfrutar mucho más de la aparición de las sailor starlights en sus dos versiones. La tensa relación entre Seiya y Usagi se nos muestra con potencia haciéndonos dudar incluso sobre los reales sentimientos de Usagi hacia Seiya y Mamoru.

Sin embargo en la versión Crystal, esta relación no se deja ver por parte de Usagi, aunque por parte de Seiya si la vemos regalándonos ese beso entre ambos qué se nos negó en la versión antecesora.

En cuantos a las batallas, puedo decir que con respecto a las batallas de las sailor, en su versión de los 90s fueron más duraderas ya que en crystal fueron derrotadas demasiado rápido y supongo que al ser versión película querían apresurar cada escena, pero esta parte siento que quedo al debe.

En cuanto a la batalla final, en ambas versiones se podía percibir la tensión y el dolor que sentía Usagi al perder a sus seres queridos, pero en su versión crystal, la determinación y carácter era algo que merecía ser reflejado en su versión anterior, se nos dejó ver una Sailor Moon decidida y fuerte, con lágrimas y todo, pero su fortaleza fue llevada a otro nivel cerrando magistralmente con la revelación de Sailor Cosmos la misma Sailor Moon de un futuro distante, la cual lucha contra el caos sin remedio.

En ambas versiones el mensaje de creer en la humanidad y la compasión son potentes, además de sacrificio de Sailor Moon por sus seres queridos en asombrosa, ella confía cuando todo es negro y arriesga todo por estar a su lado, de ese modo se nos grita qué la confianza, el amor y la amistad son los tesoros más importantes que alguien pueda tener.

*** ### Mis momentos favoritos en ambas entregas
1-El grito de Sailor Moon al ver desaparecer a Chibiusa frente a ella fue desgarrador. (Sailor Moon Crystal)

2-La aparición de la princesa de fuego, en este parte Usagi (Serena) había sido arrebatada de su semilla estelar y era absorbida por un agujero negro. (Sailor Moon 90s)

3-Boda de Usagi y Mamoru, en esta parte final se nos refleja que Sailor Moon será eterna y es un final agridulce ya que somos partícipes de la felicidad y tristeza futura que tendrá Usagi. (Sailor Moon Crystal)

4-Batalla final entre Sailor Moon y Sailor Galaxia, lugar donde el amor de Usagi traspasa la barrera de Galaxia purificando su cuerpo y extirpando el caos. (Sailor Moon 90s)

Podría reflejar mucho más, pero supongo que terminaría poniendo cada capítulo y minuto de cada una de sus versiones.

En resumen puedo decir, que ambas partes para mi son igual de buenas e importantes. A pesar que la estética en la versión crystal al comienzo era bastante deplorable, comenzó a mejorar significativamente, por otro lado su adaptación fue realmente fiel al manga en cada sentido.

Por otro lado, en Crystal los personajes se veían más maduros y hasta logró cambiar un poco la visión de Chibiusa qué teníamos de la versión de los 90s.

La versión noventera fue más extensa, llenas de capítulos de batallas, emoción, drama y amor, mientras que Crystal fue más corta y concisa, aunque a muchos nos dejó con gusto a poco.

Lo qué puedo expresar, es que ambas versiones supieron enganchar y hacer que los espectadores sintieran amor a cada una de sus entregas y sea la versión que sea, siempre seremos esa Sailor Moon que lucha por el amor y la justicia en nuestros corazones.

If there's one thing I can honestly boast about, it's that I'm a moonie at heart, as my motto will always be I am Sailor Moon and I will punish you on the Moon Mountain.

This anime hooked me like a net catching a fish in the sea. From the first episode to the last, including the filler episodes, I must say that I didn't skip a single episode and watched it all, including the reruns. I followed the adventures of these warriors who went all out and fought until they achieved their goals. Peace and harmony were what they longed for, as well as enjoying love and friendship.

Usagi Tsukino in the original language, Serena Tsukino in the Spanish dubbed version, but in both versions the same spirit of kindness, a weak and tearful girl who drew strength from who knows where to overcome her fears and launch herself to victory.

So yes, this time I'm going to talk about Sailor Moon, but not about its story, which we all know, since Sailor Moon is like the mother of anime. This time, I'm going to share the differences and similarities of the last arc of the series entitled "Sailors Star."

Plot and comparison + opinion

In the last arc of the 90s version, we begin with a rather sad Usagi at the airport saying goodbye to her eternal love Mamoru Chiba, also known as Darién in the Spanish dubbed version. In this part, they both walk together through the airport, the same place where Usagi and Seiya Ko first meet.

After that encounter, which is not recorded in Usagi's memory, and her farewell to her eternal love, the plot continues amid battles, new friendships, romantic conflicts, pain and anguish, uncertainty becomes more frequent, and in the end, sacrifice in the name of love and friendship.

Now let's look at the Crystal version

As in the 90s version, the Crystal arc begins in much the same way, but in this part Mamoru is attacked and killed in front of Usagi by Sailor Galaxia herself. However, Usagi forgets this event when she is rescued by Seiya Ko. At this point, the battles become more explicit and the appearance of new characters is reduced.

What we can appreciate in both versions is that the excitement is present in every second, leaving fans with a clear sense of satisfaction. However, when comparing the two, we can highlight that the crystal version faithfully adhered to the original manga, recreating battles in a more explicit way and revealing the emotions and frustrations of our heroine.

Nevertheless, what leaves a bad taste in my mouth is that in the crystal version, this last arc, when turned into a movie, moved everything along too quickly. I feel that we, as viewers, were robbed of the chance to "enjoy" the plot even more, since it had extreme potential to have been an arc of several episodes, just as they did with the first installments.

On the other hand, in the 90s version, the plot was extensive, including filler episodes which, in my opinion, provided laughter and humor, saving the drama and tension for the closing chapters. However, the 90s version left many questions unanswered, such as why Chibi-Chibi was not recognized as Sailor Cosmos and was merely made to be the light of hope of Sailor Galaxia herself.

That part is appreciated in the Crystal version, as the questions we had had up to that point were answered. On the other hand, the incorporation of Chibiusa "Rini" in the Spanish-dubbed version makes her appearance to help her mother, while the Amazon quartet reappears as the protectors of the little lady.

Another difference from the 90s version is that we can enjoy the appearance of the Sailor Starlights much more in both versions. The tense relationship between Seiya and Usagi is powerfully portrayed, making us doubt even Usagi's true feelings towards Seiya and Mamoru.

However, in the Crystal version, this relationship is not shown on Usagi's part, although on Seiya's part we do see it, giving us that kiss between the two that was denied us in the previous version.

As for the battles, I can say that the Sailor battles in the 90s version were longer, since in Crystal they were defeated too quickly. I suppose that, being a movie version, they wanted to rush each scene, but I feel that this part was left wanting.

As for the final battle, in both versions you could feel the tension and pain Usagi felt at losing her loved ones, but in the Crystal version, her determination and character were something that deserved to be reflected in the previous version. We were shown a determined and strong Sailor Moon, tears and all, but her strength was taken to another level, masterfully closing with the revelation of Sailor Cosmos, Sailor Moon herself from a distant future, who fights against hopeless chaos.

In both versions, the message of believing in humanity and compassion is powerful, as is Sailor Moon's sacrifice for her loved ones. She trusts when all is dark and risks everything to be by their side, thus shouting out to us that trust, love, and friendship are the most important treasures anyone can have.

My favorite moments in both series

1-Sailor Moon's scream when she saw Chibiusa disappear in front of her was heartbreaking. (Sailor Moon Crystal)

2-The appearance of the Fire Princess. In this part, Usagi (Serena) had been snatched from her seed trail and was being sucked into a black hole. (Sailor Moon 90s)

3-Usagi and Mamoru's wedding. In this final part, we see that Sailor Moon will be eternal, and it is a bittersweet ending as we share in Usagi's future happiness and sadness. (Sailor Moon Crystal)

4-Final battle between Sailor Moon and Sailor Galaxia, where Usagi's love breaks through Galaxia's barrier, purifying her body and removing the chaos. (Sailor Moon 90s)

I could reflect on much more, but I guess I would end up listing every chapter and minute of each of their versions.

In summary, I can say that both parts are equally good and important to me. Although the aesthetics in the Crystal version were quite deplorable at the beginning, they began to improve significantly. On the other hand, its adaptation was really faithful to the manga in every sense.

On the other hand, in Crystal, the characters looked more mature, and it even managed to change the vision we had of Chibiusa from the 90s version a little.

The 90s version was longer, full of episodes of battles, excitement, drama, and love, while Crystal was shorter and more concise, although it left many of us wanting more.

What I can say is that both versions knew how to hook viewers and make them love each episode, and whichever version it is, we will always be that Sailor Moon who fights for love and justice in our hearts.

Hello, dear friends, Otskus. 🌸

Sailor Moon is one of the most famous shōjo stories in anime and manga, which is why I was excited to create it on a dark background with bright, striking colors. I love its story and it's one of my favorites; I still have yet to cosplay Serena, haha, that's the Latin version of the protagonist's name.

At first, I wanted to do it in my computer program Paint 3D, but it seemed more original to do it on dark-colored cardboard.

I just unlocked a memory, it's about an anime that, even though it's not the style and format I like to watch nowadays (since I prefer to watch only movies) it made me very happy when I was a kid and I had just moved to this city, at that time every time I came back from school, after doing my homework I watched Sailor Moon and I loved it 😍.

Acabo desbloquear un recuerdo, se trata de un anime que, a pesar de que no es del estilo y formato queme gusta ver actualmente (ya que prefiero ver solo películas) me hizo muy feliz cuando yo era niña y acababa de mudarme a esta ciudad, en esa época cada vez que yo regresaba del colegio, después de hacer mis tareas veía Sailor Moon y me encantaba 😍

Overview/Resumen

It is about a fourteen year old girl named Serena Tsukino, well, at least that's what she was called here in Latin America, although I understand that in the manga and the original version of the anime she obviously has a Japanese name. She was a normal girl until one time she met in the street a kitten with a band on her forehead, but when she took it off she realized that she had a crescent moon engraved on her forehead. The girl continued her course but when she returned home the kitten was waiting for her with the information that she (Serena) had been chosen as a heroine, a Sailor Scout of the solar system, so she only has to transform herself to fight evil and when she does she realizes she can hear the cries for help of her friend Molly, however she did not know how to fight because she had not been trained for that, however someone called Tuxedo Mask arrives to help her in combat, but on the other hand Serena transformed into Sailor Moon realizes that her cry can stun her enemies, so in this way she fights the battle, plus she can throw her tiara as if it were a projectile. Serena's new mission would be to find a princess and other girls, the other Sailors to help her fight evil.

Se trata de una chica de catorce años llamada Serena Tsukino, bueno, al menos así la llamaban aquí en Latinoamérica, aunque tengo entendido que en el manga y la versión original del anime tiene un nombre japonés obviamente. Ella era una chica normal hasta que en una ocasión se encontró en la calle con una gatita con una bandita en la frente, pero cuando ella se la retiró se dio cuenta que tenía una media luna grabada en la frente. La chica siguió su curso pero al regresar a casa la gatita la estaba esperando con la información de que ella (Serena) había sido electa como heroína, una Sailor Scouts del sistema solar, así que solo tiene que transformarse para combatir el mal y cuando lo hace se da cuenta que puede oír los gritos de auxilio de su amiga Molly, no obstante ella no sabía como pelear porque no había sido entrenada para eso, no obstante alguien llamado Tuxedo Mask llega para ayudarla en el combate, pero por otra parte Serena transformada en Sailor Moon se da cuenta que su llanto puede aturdir a sus enemigos, así que de esta manera libra la batalla, además que puede lanzar su tiara como si fuese un proyectil. La nueva misión de Serena sería encontrar a una princesa y a otras chicas, las demás Sailors para que la ayuden a combatir el mal.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión

I know the series, at least the first season, is filled with a lot of filler episodes but I liked it a lot anyway, I remember being scared by the transformation of the villain because she looked like a horrible specter, but obviously I loved the transformations of the other girls. However, now that I rewatched some episodes as an adult I realized that the anime aged terribly badly, not only because of how tremendously cheesy the main character turns out to be, but because despite being made in a contemporary time (unlike Candy) it has many stereotypes like for example that episode where the evil witch made people sleep because she stole their energy, then Serena's father says "I wish it happened to me, so I could rest" and the mother replies "You know you can't do that, you have to work for us" 😄.

Se que la serie, al menos la primera temporada, está llena de muchos capítulos de relleno pero a mí de todos modos me gustaba mucho, recuerdo que me asustaba la transformación de la villana porque parecía un espectro horrible, pero obviamente me encantaba las transformaciones de las otras chicas. Sin embargo, ahora que volví a ver algunos episodios siendo adulta me di cuenta que el anime envejeció terriblemente mal, no solo por lo tremendamente cursi que resulta ser la protagonista, sino porque a pesar de estar hecha en una época contemporánea (a diferencia de Candy) tiene muchos estereotipos como por ejemplo ese episodio donde la malvada bruja hacía dormir a las personas porque les robaba la energía, entonces el padre de Serena dice "Ojalá me sucediera a mi, así podría descansar" y la madre responde "Sabes que no puedes hacer eso, debes trabajar para nosotras" 😄

Even though the episodes had a simple plot and an often repeated structure with a new character at the beginning and a villain who wanted to steal her energy, this worked quite well for the time I watched it, at least it didn't bore me, and for a kid with a fertile imagination like I had, this gave me the perfect base for me to imagine whatever I wanted in my games 😄 haha I certainly played the main Sailor, Serena. Also, in the 90's there was a strong trend of female empowerment through heroines like Xena, the Warrior Princess, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and of course Sailor Moon, this made us girls feel valued, that we could also fight evil and look pretty at the same time.

Even though as I told you, this is not an anime that I would re-watch episode by episode nowadays, since honestly it doesn't generate the same emotion as it did in my childhood, for me it is a nice memory, something that marked a wonderful time, so I treasure it fondly in my heart along with its battle cry "For love and justice!" 😊. Greetings Community in this review I want to talk about a character dressed in Passion Red, she is Rei Hino which is a character full of much exotic femininity that stands out for her dominant heels, she is the only one of the Sailor Scouts in the anime where she lives called Sailor Moon that uses them reflecting her natural empowered personality, spontaneous and analytical which you can notice in the thumbnail.

All this makes her much more attractive to the eye by combining spirituality, the temperament of fire, a personality that does not repress her truths and what I consider to be the sexiest legs of all Sailor Moon anime.

Her greatest relevance is during the first arcs of the story and her Fire associated to the Planet Mars that she rules, unfortunately and little by little her flame goes out having only flashes or rather sparks of what was her brightness in very few and specific moments of the later arcs, I love metaphors and when I mention Fire, Passion or Mars is because I am referring to her and that is why I pay her this review as a tribute because she is my favorite character among the HEROES of that anime.

Su mayor relevancia es durante los primeros arcos de la historia y su Fuego asociado al Planeta Marte que ella rige, lamentablemente y poco a poco se va apagando su flama teniendo solo destellos o mejor dicho chispas de lo que era su brillo en momentos muy contados y específicos de los arcos posteriores, me encantan las metáforas y cuando mencione Fuego, Pasión o Marte es porque me estoy refiriendo a ella y por eso le rindo esta reseña como tributo porque es mi personaje favorito entre las HÉROES de ese anime.

Me encantan todas las mitologías sobre todo cuando tienen complejidad que nutre el alma del espectador y ella justo nos da esto ultimo enfocado desde un punto de vista Japones.

Ella es Sacerdotisa en su Templo y sabe mucho sobre el tópico de Espíritus, como no encantarme si ese tipo de cosas o mejor dicho creencias hacen que ella tenga una mente mas amplia ante las cosas que suceden en vida y muerte, en este aspecto hago mucha conexión con ella porque seria un tipo de mujer con el que pudiera hablar horas sobre elementos espirituales y no aburrirme jaja.

Her powers are the ones that have more style, this is not an anime that stands out in the visual of the battles, in fact the author lacks much of this, she has moments of inspiration but it is seen that it is not her forte, but in Mars her powers as such if they are well executed in the dynamics of movements adorned with that Enraged Fire of the character.

Just in the image you can see everything I mentioned where Rei comes out with her little eyes of hearts in love with Tuxedo Mask, they are very funny parts that she shares with Serena and make them have a nice rivalry to see that we as viewers perceive and makes the anime flow or rather connect much better the conflict scenes with comic reliefs like this scene.

Rei Hino is a character that brings a lot of life to the anime, the fans know it and that's why they appreciated her so much.

Esto me hace reír y lo destaco porque en ella predomina la seriedad pero esta bien dosificada en los momentos cómicos con la protagonista, al inicio de la reseña mencione que ella no teme decir sus verdades y así es cuando le toca hablar con Serena durante variados conflictos, ambas son adolescentes pero Rei Hino es mucho mas madura y sabe analizar las situaciones para decir lo que se tiene que decir en pro de resolver conflictos, estas interacciones enriquecen mucho el anime.

Sus poderes son los que mas estilo tienen, este no es un anime que se destaque en la visual de las batallas, de hecho la autora carece mucho de esto, tiene momentos de inspiración pero se ve que no es su fuerte, pero en Marte sus poderes como tal si están bien ejecutados en la dinámica de movimientos adornado con ese Fuego Enfurecido del personaje.

Justo en la imagen pueden ver todo lo que menciono donde sale Rei con sus ojitos de corazones enamorada de Tuxedo Mask, son partes muy graciosas que comparte con Serena y hacen tengan una rivalidad bonita de ver que nosotros como espectadores percibimos y hace el anime fluya o mejor dicho conecte mucho mejor las escenas conflictos con alivios cómicos como esta escena.

Rei Hino es un personaje que le da mucha vida al anime, los fans lo saben y por eso la aprecían tanto.

Un personaje que en aspectos de historia fue perdiendo su llama excepto en el corazón de los fans que aun hoy la ven con mucho respeto y admiración porque ella se lo gano con su actuación de poder llena de convicción y Furia de Marte para quemar y exorcizar a sus enemigos.

Veo difícil que se explore mas el personaje porque siempre todo es Serena pero allí en el pasado tenemos muchas buenas escenas de un personaje al cual ahora se le añade el poder de la nostalgia haciendo que su flama encienda por siempre el fuego de Marte.

I don't usually analyze characters from series, movies or anime, but I think it is a very interesting element to learn more about those characters that somehow left something in us. As usual, the stories are largely focused on developing characters with different types of personality and backgrounds, I think the appeal of a protagonist lies in how it evolves as the story progresses and in the ability it may have to convey emotions and inspire us to follow and even admire it.
So today I will talk about Usagi Tsukino, known in Latin America by the name of Serena (a name that I really like) and it is interesting to mention this because previously the names of some characters used to be changed I guess to have greater receptivity or were easy to remember for the public, remember that not all Japanese names are easy to pronounce for those who are Spanish speakers, and well, in those years the anime did not have the popularity that today has, so it was important to take into account these details.

Among the characteristics that Usagi has, we initially see that she is the typical silly, indecisive and even lazy girl, something that is not necessarily negative, but actually makes her be very real regarding her age, let's remember that she is practically a teenager and as such we cannot expect her to have a mature or adult attitude, however, I must admit that many times I felt a little fed up with how indecisive she could become, it was desperate to see her not acting effectively in key moments when it was obvious that it was what she should do.
One of the things I loved about her was how loyal and good friend she could be, I think that is an aspect that aroused a lot of admiration from me and that made me take her as an example. I also found it very funny how stubborn she was, I think the moments I laughed the most watching Sailor Moon were when she showed her stubbornness, without a doubt that is a characteristic that made her very funny.

Greetings dear friends, this week I want to continue talking about those memorable series of our childhood, previously I talked about Candy Candy and the impact it still has had today. Today I want to talk about how important was for me the Anime of “Sailor Moon” and how exciting it was to watch it when I was so small, of course this first season is the one I remember most is from 1992, of course I mean that I must have seen it back in the early 2000's when I had a little more discernment.
The fact is that I was always very anxious to see him, I was very excited, to see that girl who in Latin America is called Serena, her friends and that cute little cat called Luna and of course her love Darien who was the great Tuxedo Mask, that mysterious guy with a mask.

Well, it all starts with a blonde girl who is studying normally and suddenly she gets a cute kitten who tells her that there is a mission they have to do, of course it's a magical world and it's not so strange that the kitten talks (laughs). This kitty named Luna makes between them, that is Serena and Luna a special connection.
As the chapters develop, the girls appear and they are fundamental not only in friendship but also in fighting against an evil woman called Queen Beryl, they all represent a planet and fight against evil and also for them it is essential to find Princess Luna who is important for the balance and tranquility of the entire cosmos.
This series goes beyond a fight for the good in my opinion, I love the fact that here the girls create strong bonds of friendship and connection, they fight together and defend themselves without looking back, and each one has her own shine and none of them overshadow.
I also like to see the empowerment that there is between them, without a doubt they show that they are girls with goals and that they can achieve what they want and get ahead in the face of any obstacle. A nice message in my opinion.
Of course I want to tell you a little about my impressions about the Tuxedo Mask staff which is after Serena my favorite, this guy who at first is a little suspicious with Serena begins to feel special feelings with her and that connection they both have in the past begins to shine since they both have a unique past as Serena would be the reincarnation of Princess Luna and Darien is Prince Endymion. Of course many of us love the ending, it makes my hair stand on end when I hear it and also the super catchy opening that I love when I go to an anime event and they play it.

Sailor Moon Cosmos Part 1 is an anime movie based on Sailor Moon recently added on the Netflix platform and after watching this first part my feeling is pure nostalgia and the good kind, the anime itself is one of the first I saw in my childhood along with Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball Z, Samurai X, etc. and in this viewing I fully perceive the soul of what I saw so long ago.

It has the humor of these characters that even though more than 20 years have passed since I saw them, for those who are still in school it seems that time has frozen and the story has no problem in transmitting that youth for new generations because I think this product has aged well and can please new viewers.

One point to criticize is that emblematic characters such as Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars are left far behind in the story despite the power and potential they had, this criticism applies to all previous Sailor Moon stories that as the conflict progresses, characters are forgotten and appear to make us laugh with jokes that despite being good, in my case what I want is more of them and that at least I did not get in this first part.

I find totally attractive the Star Seed concept that is like the Soul of things and beings but in the Sailor Moon Universe, I believe in the Soul so I totally understand the approach of the story and I like it because now I understand better what a Sailor Guardian is and this extends because there can't be light without darkness.

In the video you will hear my extended opinion of what I have written plus me humming the opening, watching this kind of well made products brings back the mind to the joyful moments of childhood.

Es grato ver como proyectos se actualizan sobre el tiempo como si el tiempo no fuera pasado sobre esas historias que vuelven a cobrar vida

Sailor Moon Cosmos Parte 1 es una película anime basado en Sailor Moon recientemente añadida en la plataforma Netflix y luego de ver esta primera parte mi sensación es pura nostalgia y de la buena, el anime en sí es uno de los primeros que vi en mi niñez junto a Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball Z, Samurai X, etc y en este visionado percibo completamente el alma de aquello que vi hace tanto tiempo.

Tiene el humor de estos personajes que a pesar de haber pasado más de 20 años desde que los vi, para ellas que siguen en escuela pareciera haberse congelado el tiempo y la historia no tiene problema en transmitir esa juventud para nuevas generaciones porque pienso este producto ha envejecido bien y puede gustar a nuevos espectadores.

Un punto a criticar es que personajes emblemáticos como Sailor Venus y Sailor Mars quedan muy rezagadas en la historia a pesar del poder y potencial que planteaban, esta crítica aplica a todas las historias previas de Sailor Moon que a medida que se avanza en el conflicto, personajes quedan olvidados y aparecen para hacernos reír con chistes que a pesar de haber sido buenos, en mi caso lo que quiero es mas de ellas y eso al menos no lo conseguí en esta primera parte.

Me parece totalmente atractivo el concepto Star Seed que es como el Alma de las cosas y de los seres pero en el Universo de Sailor Moon, yo creo en el Alma entonces capto totalmente el planteamiento de la historia y me agrada porque ahora comprendo mejor lo que es una Sailor Guardian y esto se extiende porque no puede haber luz sin oscuridad.

En el video escucharas mi opinión extendida de lo que he escrito plus yo tarareando el opening, ver este tipo de productos bien hechos hace volver la mente a los alegres momentos de la infancia.

If you are under 25 years old, you may not know that SM was one of the most important titles in many girls' lives. Something like Dragon Ball, which was mainly intended for young men. For Polish M&A fans, the manga by Naoko Takeuichi (wife of Hunter x Hunter author Togashi) is of particular importance. It is true that Japanese comics and anime were already in Poland (with anime - War of the Planets, my mother and her brother watched them when they were young. As for manga, several titles were published in the Polish People's Republic, and SM debuted in 1997. ), but the main driving force behind the development of this market in Poland were DB and SM. Daimos, Captain Tsubasa, Gigi La Trotolla, Duel of Angels, Yattaman, Saint Seiya, Slayers - none of these titles can compare with the titans who are a symbol of Japan to this day.

I usually talk about how DBS fans celebrated the return of their anime (e.g. in the context of the soccer world cup. During the tournament, people all over the world watched the last episodes of the latest series on big screens), so today, for a change, I will write about how Mr. celebrated "their nerdy day". As I was a Sailor Moon fanboy myself and I followed Facebook and the Polish Internet closely on the day of the premiere (and before and after it), I saw quite a lot of entries, references, and reminders about watching the adventures of Usagi and her friends. The vibe was exactly the same as at the end of the DBS broadcast, when I was talking to people from the real world, almost like I was talking to my friends from the Internet. The ladies started writing on various nostalgic groups, posting about how they were going to watch a movie on Netflix, uploading their favorite scenes and reminiscing. I was surprised how two local moms talked to me and their friends almost as if I was talking to my friends about DB. By the way, now I remember, at the end even the stars of adult films were boasting that they had watched the DBS episode via torrents/crunchyroll. I remember the text of one of them: "Okay, I orally satisfied my boyfriend. Now we order some fast food and watch a new episode of Dragon Ball."

I suspect that when the next two films are released (like Eternal, this arc was adapted into two full-length films) it will be similar. Although not everyone likes the Galaxia arc, most people remember it because of the opening. This one is also rated differently, but its strength is the fact that it is the last one. Previously, we had only heard Moonlight Densetsu. It is true that the song is more complex in terms of composition, lyrics and tempo, but the effect is fresh. To sum up, we will watch Sailor Moon with Asia again. My partner hates almost all anime, and she doesn't particularly like SM either, but the nostalgia is powerful.

Co prawda Japońskie komiksy i anime były w Polsce już wcześniej (z anime - Wojna Planet, moja mama i jej brat, gdy byli młodzi, oglądali je. Jeśli chodzi o mangi, to w PRLu wydawano kilka tytułów, a SM zadebiutowalo w 1997 roku.), ale główną siłą napędową rozwoju tego rynku w Polsce, były DB i SM. Daimos, Captain Tsubasa, Gigi La Trotolla, Pojedynek Aniołów, Yattaman, Saint Seiya, Slayers - żaden z tych tytułów nie może się równać z tytanami, którzy są symbolem Japonii po dziś dzień.

Zwykle mówię o tym, jak fani DBS świętowali powrót swojego anime (np. w kontekście mistrzostw świata w piłkę nożną. W trakcie turnieju ludzie na całym świecie, oglądali ostatnie odcinki najnowszej serii na Telebimach), więc dzisiaj dla odmiany napiszę o tym, jak Panie świętowały "swój nerdowski dzień". Jako że sam byłem fanboyem Sailor Moon i śledziłem w dniu premiery (oraz przed nią i po niej) dokładnie Facebooka i polski internet, to widziałem dość dużo wpisów, nawiązań, przypominajek o tym jak się kiedyś oglądało przygody Usagi i jej przyjaciółek. Vibe był dokładnie taki sam, co pod koniec emisji DBS, gdy rozmawiałem z ludźmi ze świata realnego, niemal tak jak z kumplami z internetu. Panie zaczęły pisać na różnych, nostalgicznych grupach, wstawiały posty o tym, że zaraz idą oglądać film na Netflixie, wrzucać swoje ulubione sceny, wspominać. Byłem zaskoczony jak dwie okoliczne mamuśki, rozmawiały ze mną i swoimi koleżankami prawie tak, jakbym rozmawiał z kolegami o DB. Swoją drogą, teraz mi się przypomniało, pod koniec nawet gwiazdy filmów dla dorosłych, chwaliły się tym, że obejrzały odcinek DBS przez torrenty / crunchyrolla. Pamiętam tekst jednej z nich: "Ok, zaspokoiłam oralnie swojego chłopaka. Teraz zamawiamy jakiś fastfood i oglądamy nowy odcinek Dragon Balla".

Podejrzewam że przy premierze kolejnych dwóch filmów (podobnie jak Eternal, ten arc został zaadaptowany do formy dwóch filmów pełnometrażowych) będzie podobnie. Choć nie każdy lubi arc z Galaxią, to większość go pamięta z powodu openingu. Ten też jest różnie oceniany, ale jego siłą jest fakt, że jest ostatni. Wcześniej słyszeliśmy tylko Moonlight Densetsu. Co prawda piosenka jest bardziej złożona pod względem kompozycji, tekstu, tempa, no ale efekt świeżości. Reasumując, znowu będziemy oglądali z Asią Sailor Moon. Moja partnerka co prawda nie cierpi niemal wszystkich anime, za SM też niespecjalnie przepada, ale nostalgia jest potężna.

So, I don't know if we are really aware of how risky it was, at the time, to go for a manga, and later anime, of the shonen type, whose sole premise is based on the relationship of a group of Japanese high school girls and how they go through adventures that will challenge their friendship in every way? It's no surprise now, but more than 30 years ago when the first Sailor Moon manga saw the light of day, these themes didn't get much attention; certainly not in a traditionally macho society like Japan has been, and still is. For me, the creative and script mastery of this anime has everything to do with its author: Naoko Takeuchi.

This post is both a confession of the little girl who still lives in me, and who always felt directly identified with the girls of Sailor Moon, and partly also a tribute to the simplicity and power of an idea really well carried out. In this sense, what the author always wanted (in real life, when she was young) was to have a group of friends who really wanted to be with them. This fact, though trite and perhaps somewhat corny, from our Western perspective, speaks volumes about a society that can be as advanced as it is cruel in equal proportions.

A seemingly simple wish of a lonely girl ignited the spark of creativity to the top. The suffering and social isolation that Takeuchi endured as a young girl was such a scar on her that as soon as she graduated from university she began to create a manga that would reflect (masterfully) the most longed-for and strongest wish she could ask for..... This leaves a lot to be desired. For a girl to have only girlfriends as the longing of her existence is hard enough. But things in Japan are quite different from what we are used to admitting and accepting.

While all Japanese anime productions have that existentialist component in their character development, it is no less true that the loneliness and suffering that both the main character (Usagi, original name) and the other members of the group of friends, is noticeable, is evident. Perhaps in America, we may not have noticed this because of the cultural differences that exist between the two poles of the planet; but when you watch the 200 episodes of the anime again, you realise that it is not only a story with romantic overtones and very girlish, but that it hides the fears of female adolescence and is a unique exploration of femininity.

As part of the cultural heritage that Sailor Moon has left us, there is the struggle against fears, the normalisation of courage, even the courage to overcome adversity; always supported by the moral strength that only friendship between girls (which, let's remember, is not very common in the world of animation) can offer you. I would say, perhaps I could be wrong, that Sailor Moon is not just another entertaining anime, but it is a beautiful, recommendable and tremendously fun way to deeply educate yourself. There is no doubt that from the very first episode to the only one, we are aware of the imprint that its creator has put on the story.

Sailor Moon is much more than adversity and overcoming villains and antagonists. It is an exercise in empathy, philosophy and even a sociological study of loneliness and cruelty. This is beautiful. I know that perhaps in this community, there are not many girls, but it is also curious to know that many men also enjoyed this series. I hope you do, and that you leave it in the comments. I am grateful to have grown up with this anime. Even, from mother to daughter, I have "passed the torch", and my daughter who was born in 2015 is a fan of this anime. Hello to all the believers of the silver crystal, today I come to review the Sailor Moon crystal movie, which is called (cosmos) which is the last part of the anime inspired by the Sailor Galaxy saga but its manga version.

But first of all I will give a quick review of what is Sailor Moon Crystal?

Well it is a reboot of the anime series and more focused on the manga version, I add that the first televised season had a somewhat elongated drawing style that seemed to be inflatable dolls with little facial expression, (because they wanted to trace the line of the manga to the anime version).

Moving on to serious topics (which are these last 2 movies with COSMOS nomenclature in their name), believe me there were many things that simply made me turn the table as they react to seeing more and more bizarre scenes.

In this case I add, it may be that they had too much to tell and too little time to capture the concept in animation, but the first COSMOS movie feels too accelerated all its events, like a kind of (super summary) leaving too little time to digest the events on screen.

Ya pasando a temas serio (que son estas 2 ultimas peliculas de nomenclatura COSMOS en su nombre), creeme que hubieron muchas cosas que simplemente me hicieron voltear la mesa al reaccionar al ver escenas cada vez mas extrañas.

En este caso añado, no se si es que tenian mucho por contar y muy poco tiempo para plasmar el concepto, pero la primera pelicula de COSMOS se siente demasiado acelerado todo evento, como una especie de (ataque resumido) dejando muy poco tiempo para digerir los eventos.

In the first shot Darien says goodbye to Serena at the airport because he has to go to study in the United States, and out of nowhere Sailor Galaxia appears using Goku's teleportation, she does fatality to Darien, annihilates him and absorbs the crystal from his body, then Sailor Galaxia teleports again and runs away, all in a fraction of seconds.

I'll add that Darien was in civilian clothes with Serena at the airport, so a villain who kills Heroes effortlessly and off screen like (striker from king of fighters who shows up and leaves) is too much.

Añado que Darien estaba vestido de civil con Serena en el aeropuerto, asi que un villano que mate Heroes cagado de la risa fuera de pantalla como (striker de king of fighters que aparece y se va) es demasiado.

Obviously, we are introduced to the team of the other sailors from outer space (the "sailor stars" who are men and who transform into girls).

But it also made me question the logic of the events in this movie. I mean, they are in a concert as men, a villain appears, they transform into the presence of the girls as serena and her friends, then they fight and defeat the creature,

So it is somewhat illogical to pretend that the girls are fans (of the male version of these singers) when they know from the beginning that it is them because they saw them with their own eyes.

There is no argument for trying to fit this in the middle of the film by revealing the facts earlier.

No hay argumento para tratar de encajar esto en medio del filme revelando los hechos anteriormente.

In this part of the movie I wondered why the hell Sailor Galaxia wants lackeys, because during the course of the two movies we will see this villain as a boss (final), teleporting like nothing and doing fatalitys in 1 second killing Serena's friends to snatch their crystals.

En esta parte de la pelicula me cuestione ¿Para que demonios quiere Sailor Galaxia lacayos?, pues durante el transcurso de la pelicula veremos a esta villana como Jefe (final), teleportarse cagada de la risa haciendo fatalitis en 1 segundo y matando las amigas de Serena arrebatandoles sus cristales.

And it's no joke, when a villain's lackey loses in battle and all the protagonist girls celebrate the victory, Sailor Galaxia will not leave without the crystals that her henchman could not get, so she will abuse the Goku-like teleportation and instantly kill whoever she wants and leave in the same way, teleporting in 1 second.

Y No, no es broma, cuando un lacayo del villano pierde en batalla y todas las chicas protagonicas celebran, Sailor Galaxia no se ira sin los cristales que su esbirro no pudo conseguir, asi que abusara de la teleportacion Goku y matara al instante a quien se le de la gana y se ira de la misma forma, teleportandose en 1 segundo.

Believe me this during the accelerated version of this movie (it gives the feeling that she doesn't need anyone) and I reaffirm it in the second Sailor Moon Cosmos movie, which is the continuation of this saga, since Sailor Galaxy herself goes personally to face Sailor Puton, and the other girls and kills them as if nothing happened.

Another element that displeased me was to see that Rei's pet ravens (which is sailor mars), literally a villain went to tear their crystals to these 2 birds, as they turned out to be 2 sailor (hidden) with human form and that are servants of Rei.

Creeme que esto durante la version acelerada que es esta pelicula (da esa sensacion de que ella no necesita a nadie) y lo reafirmo en la segunda pelicula de Sailor Moon Cosmos, que la continuacion de esta saga, ya que la Misma Sailor Galaxia va personalmente a enfrentar a Sailor Puton, y las demas chicas y las mata como si nada.

Otro elemento que me desagrado fue ver que los cuervos mascota de Rei (que es sailor marte), psea ñiteralmente un villano fue a arrancarles sus cristales a estas 2 aves, pues resultaron ser 2 sailor (ocultas) con forma humana y que son sirvientes de Rei.

I add, for me this is filler, if they had told me that the villain's lackey went to kill the 2 cats, which is Luna and Artemis, I really would have no complaint, since they are 2 solid characters in the whole series that we know and are part of the plot, plus they have human form, but the 2 ravens of Rei, is it seriously?

Añado, para mi esto es relleno, si me hubieran dicho que el lacayo del villano fue a matar a los 2 gatos, que es Luna y Artemis, la verdad no tendría queja, ya que son 2 personajes sólidos en toda la serie que conocemos y son parte de la trama, ademas de que tienen forma humana, pero ¿los 2 cuervos de Rei, es en serio?.

It should be said that people who are fans of the manga will defend that this is what happened in the manga and this is how things should be animated, but not always the plot twists captured in a manga are necessarily good, and I say this in a very clear and direct way because of what follows the final part of this film.

Cabe decir que pues la gente que es seguidora del manga defendera que asi paso en el manga y asi deben animar las cosas, pero no siempre los giros argumentales plasmados en un manga son necesariamente buenos y ojo que lo digo de forma muy clara y directa por el final de esta película.

I should clarify that I left the most cumbersome part for the end. During the course of the 2 movies Serena will be powerless to see how her friends fall like flies in front of Sailor Galaxia, to the point that she no longer has the mental strength to continue fighting because she is traumatized by each death of her companions.

On the other hand, Sailor Galaxia could have killed Serena at any time as she did with all of them (including Darien at the beginning of the film) but she didn't feel like doing it.

And it's not my lies, even Serena questioned it in the movie (that Sailor Goku teleportations can kill her as civilian or warrior), so it's not my imagination.

Moving on to totally petty plans, Sailor Galaxia is an impossible being to defeat, technically she already ripped the crystals of all the characters, Serena doesn't even want to fight because of the emotional decay of seeing them die, to the point that the villain argues to the heroine (If you can defeat me, recover the crystals of all your friends and revive them), because at this point Sailor Moon doesn't want to fight anymore.

Aclaro que deje la parte mas engorrosa para el final. Durante el transcurso de las 2 peliculas Serena se vera impotente al ver como sus amigas caen como moscas frente a Sailor Galaxia, al punto que ya no tiene la fortaleza mental de seguir peleando por traumarse con cada muerte de sus compañeras.

Y por el contrario Sailor Galaxia, pues pudo matar en cualquier momento a Serena como hizo con todas (incluido a Darien al inicio del filme) pero no se le dio la gana de hacerlo.

Ojo y no es mentiras mias, hasta serena se lo cuestiono en la pelicula (que sailor goku teleportaciones puede matarla asi sea como civil o guerrera), asi que no son imaginaciones mias.

Pasando a planos totalmente mezquinos, Sailor Galaxia es un ser imposible de vencer, tecnicamente ya arranco los cristales de todos los personajes, serena no quiere ni pelear por la decaida emocional de verlos morir, al punto de que la villana le toca argumental (Si puedes venceme, recupera los cristales de todos tus amigos y revivelos), pues la heroina a este punto ya no quiere pelear mas.

Logically the villain does it to force her to fight, but only to see her suffer more, because when Sailor Moon wants to go for everyone's crystals, Sailor Galaxia reveals the plot twist to finish screwing Serena's life (Behind me is the center of the Milky Way, in this whirlpool all the stars are born and die), (oops, I dropped the crystals of all your loved ones, they already passed to nothingness itself, they are already dead forever).

(Atras de mi esta el centro de la via lactea, en este remolino nacen y mueren todas las estrellas), (ups, deje caer los cristales de todos tus seres queridos, ya pasaron a la nada misma, ya están muertos para siempre).

Osea literalmente eso estaba de mas, pues durante toda esta saga ella es un ser indebatible en batalla, pero bueno, cosas del guion para meter climax.

From this point on, the origin of Sailor Galaxia is revealed to us (I'll stick with the retro anime version), in this movie, sailor galaxia, was an ordinary villager in a medieval village, then some barbarians devastated the village killing people and raping women, she was raped and killed with swords after the sexual act, and out of nowhere a crystal fragment chooses her to make (power ranger mosfosis and become a sailor Galaxia, which in itself is the strongest in the universe), so out of nowhere she gets her powers and takes revenge for what happened by destroying her own world.

After that she goes from planet to planet entering bars to see men (and if she judges them morally as dirty and macho), followed by blowing up the visited planet like Frezzer from Dragon Ball.

De aqui en mas nos revelan el origen de Sailor Galaxia (ojo que me quedo con la version del anime retro), en esta pelicula, sailor galaxia, era una aldeana común y corriente en un pueblo medieval, luego unos barbaros arrasaron la aldea matando la gente y violando mujeres, a ella pues la violan y la matan a espadasos luego del acto sexual, y de la nada sale un fragmento de cristal la elige a ella para hacer (mosfosis de power ranger y convertirse en una sailor Galaxia, que de por si es la mas fuerte del universo), asi que de la nada ella obtiene sus poderes y se venga de lo sucedido destruyendo su propio mundo.

Luego de eso ella va de planeta en planeta ingresando a bares a ver hombres (y si los juzga moralmente como sucios y machistas), seguido de eso ella hace explotar el planeta visitado como Frezzer de Dragon Ball.

And if someone by mere chance survives the explosion, it turns them into his lackeys because they have in their possession a cosmic crystal.

The plot of this is that Sailor Galaxia wanted to get to the cradle of creation, which is the center of the milky way, where is that specific area where stars are born and die, to technically play God annihilating the creation and recreating it to your liking. Which doesn't seem like a bad plan if they didn't reveal 3 extra characters that ruin the moment.

Y si alguien por mera casualidad sobrevive a la explosion, los convierte en sus lacayos pues tienen en su poder un cristal cosmico.

La trama de esto es que Sailor Galaxia queria llegar a la cuna de la creacion, que es el centro de la via láctea, donde esta esa zona especifica donde nacen y mueren estrellas, pues para tecnicamente jugar a ser Dios aniquilando la creacion y volviendola a crear a su gusto. Cosa que no me parece un mal plan si no revelaran 3 personajes extras que arruinan el momento.

The first of them is (Chaos) and if it is the typical enemy that is a giant shadow with eyes that wants to kill everything in existence (as a random cliche enemy).

This character comes out of nowhere (literally kills Sailor galaxy as if it were any nonsense. As if Sailor Galaxia was Yamcha from dragon ball, ruining the pedestal that Sailor Galaxia was put on during the course of the 2 movies.

I mean just because, yes, this character comes out and kills her.

Este personaje sale de la nada (literalmente mata a Sailor galaxia como si se tratase de cualquier tonteria como si ella fuera Yamcha de dragon ball, arruinando el pedestal en que nos ponian argumentalmente a Sailor Galaxia durante el transcurso de las 2 peliculas.

The second character is the revelation of who is the little girl (chibi chibi), in my words is like a Trunks of the future that was impossible to defeat the villain of his time, she is killed all her friends and she must flee to the past to try to destroy the villain, centuries ago as soon as he appears. Any resemblance to the Cell saga is mere coincidence.

The uncomfortable thing is that she "osea chibi chibi" is a sailor moon of the future of another generation...osea as if of white power rangers we speak or of a personage protagonist of the future of yugi oh, that is not yugi moto....o is the same girl called serena (osea sailor moon) but that digi evolved now to Sailor cosmos in 50 thousand years, honestly it is strange and uncomfortable another protagonist put at the end.

El segundo personaje es la revelacion de quien es la pequeña (chibi chibi), en mis palabras es como un Trunks del futuro que le quedo grande vencer al villano de su epoca, a ella le matan a todos sus amigos y debe huir al pasado para intentar destruir al villano (la nada) siglos atras apenas este aparezca.

Cualquier parecido con la saga de Cell es mera coincidencia.

Starting with the manga, I had read it for the first time on the internet but after a new anime adaptation of it was made, the biggest publishing house in Argentina, Ivrea, released all the volumes of Naoko Takeuchi, author of this magical world. I was walking around my neighborhood shopping as usual when I saw Sailor Moon volume number 1 on sale at the newsstand on one of the most important avenues in my neighborhood. I didn't hesitate and immediately bought it with great excitement, the price was affordable at that time.

I found out about this release on the internet and I was willing to buy the whole collection but they came out once a month so it would take me some time to complete it. One day I saw in the window of a toy store several volumes that had not yet been released by Ivrea, they were from the publisher Norma so I went in and they had the entire collection so my mom gave me all the volumes I was missing for my birthday although there were still some special editions that I did not have and I waited for Ivrea to release them, such as: Sailor V and the Shorts Stories.

So I completed all the volumes!

Me encontraba caminando por mi barrio haciendo las compras como de costumbre cuando vi el tomo número 1 de Sailor Moon a la venta en el kiosco de revistas sobre una de las avenidas más importantes de mi barrio. No lo dude y de inmediato lo compre con mucha emoción, estaba accesible el precio en ese entonces.

Averiguando en internet me entere de este lanzamiento y estaba dispuesta a comprar toda la colección pero salían una vez por mes así que me llevaría tiempo completarlo. I have finally managed to come to terms with my various addictions. In the past I was always one of the first to talk bad about one of the most popular anime series ever created; Sailor Moon. However, after having watched the Uncut Subtitled release, I can no longer deny that I love Sailor Moon. Don't get me wrong though, the hacked up American version of the show sucks, I only can recommend checking out the show the way it was meant to be seen, uncut and in Japanese. This leads me to a fairly recent release of Sailor Moon: Season One. It was released before I actually went into my Sailor Moon craze, but I purchased it as soon as I found it for a price that fit my budget. After having completed viewing every episode in this box set (episodes 1-47) I can't help but wonder how the people behind the English version of this series can live with themselves having robbed American audiences of the "real" Sailor Moon experience.

As far as anime goes, certain series have earned a bad rep, but none as much as Sailor Moon has. This is becuase of the way that the show was marketed and edited, which led to the major fanbase of the show being very young girls. However you look at it, the show actually is marketed toward girls, yet the American version was toned down to an extreme in order to prevent anything slightly mature from being aired. For example, full episodes were cut out for the American release because some aspects were found not suitable for children. The editing job went so far that big portions of the plot were actually changed to fit a more children oriented theme. This includes the fact that a male character was changed to female in the editing process because this character was originally a homosexual, which the editors didn't think was "appropriate" for children. Give me a break guys.

Despite everything being toned down, the American version of the show went on to become one of the most popular and well known anime series of all time. At the same time, it is also one of the most hated animated series from Japan, and it even manages to rank on the same level of Pokemon on the "guilty pleasures" meter. I got into anime too late to start watching the English version, but after catching some of the American version I feel like I'm not missing much, since I own the much superior Japanese version. Any fans of the English version owe it to themselves to purchase/rent/borrow this collection, if for no other reason than to compare it to what they're accustomed to as far as Sailor Moon is concerned. You might be startled by some of the differences in the show.

Now I won't lie, this collection certainly ain't perfect, but it's as close to the real experience you can get without importing from Japan. The main problems I have with this collection are the fact that there are no extra features that I actually care about. When I purchased this I was hoping for creator interviews, maybe old ads, possibly even a preview of the next sailor moon season. None of these are included in this set. The second problem (the major one) is with the sound quality. It's severely muffled in this box set, and sometimes so bad that it can be extremely difficult to hear unless you have the volume up completely, though the muffled noises just get more intense.

Storyline

Usagi is an ultra clumsy girl who is always late for school. She has other problems too, because she is too emotional and often breaks out into tears whenever someone is mean to her, even if it's for her own good. Her grades in school aren't the best either because she's too lazy to study. Usagi's life changes one day when she spots a group of children pestering a helpless cat. She rushes over, chases the kids away, and removes a curious bandage from the kitty's forehead which reveals a crescent moon shaped mark. This is just the start of things, as this cat forces Usagi to revive a power from the past. With the help of the speaking cat, Luna, Usagi soon learns that she has the power to transform into the all powerful Sailor Moon. With her all new powers (and help from Luna), Usagi begins fighting back against the forces of evil that threaten the planet.

Later in the series, Usagi is joined by four other Sailor Senshi who all used to be normal teenage girls just like her. Sailor Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, and Venus all join Usagi in her fight against the evil organization known as the Dark Kingdom, as the evil generals attempt to steal energy from humans, time and time again. Usagi tries to lead a normal life with her friends and family, with fighting evil on the side of things, while each Sailor must keep their super power identities a secret from everyone. As the series progresses, so does Usagi and the other Sailors. At the start she simply runs from enemies and cries, and is saved only by Luna's advice. Later on though, Usagi actually starts fighting like a real senshi should, and this level of slight character development is entertaining to realize.

The first season of Sailor Moon is as formulaic as the Power Rangers show. This is no mere exaggeration, as both series features teenagers with hidden hero identities. The monsters are also very similar, and the structure for the episodes is nearly identical. Sailor Moon features a new monster nearly every episode. This gets a little repetitive though, as pretty much every monster is killed before the episode ends, so each episode feels contained within itself. This wouldn't be bad at all, if the characters didn't use the same special moves in every episode to fight the monsters. I can easily overlook this, as I find the repetition charming, but many others cannot look past this element of the show.

So is this show as cute as it looks? I actually found many parts of the show to be extremely dark, and violent at the same time. Characters die, secrets are found out, and a mysterious character named Tuxedo Mask continuously saves the girls from impending danger. For being simple, Sailor Moon features many big plot twists in the storyline, and you may find yourself surprised at a few turns of events about midway through this collection. The final two episodes of the series are among the most unexpected that you'll find.

The humor found in Sailor Moon might be a little difficult to get used to at first, but I found myself openly laughing at some of the quirky jokes after I got a feel for the comedic values. Much of the humor has to do with the Sailors themselves, and their weaknesses. Sailor Jupiter is a bit on the tall side of the spectrum, with strength and wide shoulders, Sailor Mercury thinks only about studying and exams, Sailor Venus is a little airheaded, and Sailor Mars always makes Usagi cry by making fun of her. Some of the humor may come off as immature, but for the most part I found it very enjoyable to watch, and was fun while waiting for the real action in the series to begin.

The action in this series isn't very hardcore. It usually consists of the girls using special moves on monsters, and then Usagi finishing it off with her technique. This sets it up so that any variation in combat is stretched to be even more exciting than it would be if every episode were like it, but I found these moments to be the highlight of the series. The special moves feel very drawn out in this series, though most of them look fairly un-inspired for the most part. Still, these aren't really drawbacks because they build the Sailor Moon experience. I wouldn't have Sailor Moon any other way.

The music in this collection of the series varies. While I really dig the upbeat transformation song, a lot of the other music I enjoy sounds like very old songs. Every sailor shares the same transformation music, and it really fits the series well. The main theme to the series adds atmosphere, and the lyrics really seem to fit Sailor Moon's character well. As far as voices go, I see how they can get annoying after a while, but I found them to portray the characters very well. The only voice that seems blatantly annoying and whiny is that of Usagi, but as I said, it fits her character perfectly.

Final Recommendation

This is the perfect fix for any Sailor Moon fan out there. If you are a fan of the English version of the show, than you owe it to yourself to watch at least the first season how it was really intended to be seen. Sailor Moon: Season One is worth watching.

No i w końcu dostaliśmy "Sailor Moon: Eternal". Z tego co widzę, to zbiera różne opinie, co mnie w sumie nie dziwi. Tytuły mahō-shōjo (podgatunek shōjo - gatunku przeznaczonego dla 7-13 letnich dziewczynek) niekiedy bywają jeszcze bardziej infantylne niż zwykłe, romantyczne tytuły. A przynajmniej tak to zapamiętałem sprzed kilku lat, gdy rozmawiałem z dawnymi koleżankami, które wychowały się na tych anime i mangach. Być może przez lata się to zmieniło, jeśli wykazałem się ignorancją, to poproszę o sprostowanie. Niekiedy te głupoty są tak mocne, że nawet gdy oglądałem sam "Sailor Moon" lub "Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne", to czułem mocny cringe. A im jestem starszy, tym mocniej go odczuwam. W przypadku tych produkcji było to nieco łatwiejsze, bo dostaliśmy naprawdę dobrą kreskę, animację i grafikę (na tle poprzednich serii, nie na tle anime ogólnie). Co prawda zdążyłem już zapomnieć większość ze starych serii (po raz ostatni odświeżałem je sobie przed egzaminem maturalnym), ale parę lat temu widziałem całe "Sailor Moon: Crystal", więc wiedziałem czego się spodziewać. Pod względem fabuły było nieco gorzej niż w przypadku 2 sezonu SMC, ale moim zdaniem wynika to z faktu upchnięcia akcji do 2 godzin i 50 minut (około 8 odcinków anime) - gdyby Japończycy zrobili z tego 12 odcinkową serię anime, to byłoby lepiej. Oba filmy obejrzałem z moją dziewczyną, która podobnie jak ja, oglądała stary serial w telewizji. Pierwszy jej się nie podobał, uważa że był beznadziejny - wg niej był zbyt długi i nudny. Jeśli chodzi o drugi, to podobał jej się bardziej. O ile nie zgadzam się z jej zarzutem dotyczącym długości, to rozumiem z czego wynika i generalnie przychylam się do jej opinii. Nie był on za długi, tylko przeładowany ilością ekspozycji, coś jak film ekranizujący 3 sezon "Initial D". Nie mieliśmy czasu na odpoczynek, tylko byliśmy nimi bombardowani. W sensie, nie było fragmentów, podczas których moglibyśmy odpocząć, ułożyć sobie w głowie świeżo poznane informacje (nawet jeśli te nie były zbyt trudne do zrozumienia lub przyswojenia), za to mieliśmy za dużo ekspozycji - rzucania dziwnymi nazwami, tłumaczeniu ich, przedstawianiu bohaterek etc. Mimo, że pani reżyser zrobiła co mogła, by przedstawić to jak najlepiej, to cóż... Nie wszystko da się zrealizować zgodnie z pierwotnymi założeniami i czasem trzeba iść na ustępstwa. Rozwinę tę kwestię w jednym z kolejnych akapitów.

Załóżmy, że nigdy nie widziałeś ani nie słyszałeś o tym anime. Jest to trudne, ale możliwe - nadal spotykam ludzi, którzy są w moim wieku i nigdy nie słyszeli o DBZ, który jest znacznie popularniejszym tytułem. SM to kultowe anime na całym świecie, taki "Dragon Ball", ale dla dziewczyn. O ile pierwszy sezon jest moim zdaniem dobrze zbalansowany, tj. nie ma w nim aż tyle infantylizmu, wymyślania dziwacznych rzeczy dla ludzi spoza Japońskiego kręgu kulturowego + historia ma sensowny początek, rozwinięcie i finał, o tyle kolejne są coraz dziwniejsze. Mniej lub bardziej, czasem wchodząc na wyższy poziom dziwności niż w 1 sezonie, częściej jednak jeszcze niżej. Fabuła pierwszego arcu przypomina mi taką romantyczną baśń dla małych dziewczynek. Jest sobie królestwo Ziemi i Księżyca, tym pierwszym włada książę Endymion, tym drugim księżniczka Serenity. Nie pamiętam tego dokładnie, więc poprawcie mnie jeśli się mylę, ale ta para planuje połączyć dwa królestwa, zawrzeć sojusz czy coś w tym stylu. Podczas balu na księżycu, zaatakowali ich mieszkańcy Ziemi, będąc pod wpływemmagii czarownicy Beryl (służącej Królowej Metalii). Przegrali tę bitwę, królestwo Księżyca zostało zniszczone, a księżniczka Serenity wykorzystała resztki swojej mocy i Srebrny Kryształ, by zapieczętować Królową Metalię i uratować Endymiona oraz wszystkie czarodziejki. W wyniku tego, księżniczka Serenity zmarła, ale ocaliła dusze wyżej wymienionych, wysyłając ich na Ziemię, by tam się zreinkarnowali. Potem czarodziejki, Endymion i Usagi odzyskali swoje moce oraz świadomość z poprzedniego życia i ostatecznie pokonali złą królową i jej służących.

Jeśli chodzi o fabułę "SM: Eternal", to zaczyna się ona chwilę po wydarzeniach z 2 sezonu (technicznie 3, ale 1 sezon SMC obejmuje 2 arce). Jest to adaptacja 4 arcu z mangi, tym razem nasze bohaterki i Tuxedo muszą pokonać Cyrk Martwego Księżyca. Organizację, której przewodzi Zirconia podlegająca królowej Nehelleni. Zadaniem Zirconi i jej żołnierzy jest zdobycie dwóch kryształów - złotego i srebrnego. Dzięki złotemu Nehellenia będzie mogła uciec z więzienia - lustra, w którym została zapieczętowana przez księżniczkę Serenity. Dzięki srebrnemu, podbić planetę, księżyc, a w dalszej perspektywie wszechświat. By to zrobić, będą musiały pokonać Pegasa, strażnika krainy Elysion oraz odkryć, kto jest posiadaczem srebrnego kryształu. Jak sami widzicie, fabuła nie jest skomplikowana. Nie sprawia to jednak, że można ją bez problemu przedstawić w dwóch filmach będących ekwiwalentem 8-9 odcinków anime. Jak pisałem w poprzednim akapicie, jesteśmy przeładowani informacjami, relacjami między bohaterami i bohaterkami, krótkimi story-arcami poszczególnych czarodziejek, a jeszcze trzeba nakreślić sylwetki przeciwników, których nie jest mało, bo oprócz Zirconii i Nehelleni mamy Kwartet Amazonek. Nie wspominając o walkach, rozwijaniu uniwersum SM... Niby jest to prosta bajka dla małych dziewczynek, niby można to przedstawić w prosty i szybki sposób, ale tego jest po prostu za dużo! Pierwszy film skupia się na przedstawieniu większości bohaterów i bohaterek, ekspozycji, generalnie rozstawieniu figur na szachownicy, zaś drugi stawia bardziej na akcję. Wprawdzie jest tam również trochę ekspozycji, ale film jest zdecydowanie mniej przegadany, ale mamy więcej efektownych scen, a bohaterki podróżują z miejsca na miejsce. Włączając 2 część "Eternal" obawiałem się, że będę umierał z nudów, jak przy pierwszym, ale wystarczyło odciąć większość fabularnego tłuszczu, bym się bawił zauważalnie lepiej, a nawet odczuwał umiarkowaną radość obok cringe'u.

Dodatkowo fabuła jest... Hmm, powiedziałbym że głupia, ale to byłoby zbyt mocne i krzywdzące uproszczenie. To prosta opowieść, która ma zostać zrozumiana przez najmłodszych. No właśnie, bajka jest skierowana do najmłodszych, a mamy tu elementy, które są mocno kontrowersyjne. Nie mam tu na myśli queerowych postaci, choć ludzie o konserwatywnych poglądach (lub tacy, którzy zapomnieli fabułę komiksu) będą na nie zapewne kręcili nosem. Amazonki zostały przedstawione w dobry sposób - spodziewałem się będą bardziej cringe'owe, ale pasują do tego klimatu. Ich seksualność nie rzuca się w oczy, nie jest eksponowana jak przez radykalnych działaczy lub działaczek środowisk LGBT, lewicowych, czy feministycznych. Co innego bolesny wątek kazirodczy, który choć do pewnego stopnia jest zrozumiały (zdarza się, że córki są zazdrosne o ojca, a nawet czasem czują wobec niego uczucie podobne do miłości, w końcu jest to zazwyczaj pierwszy mężczyzna którego poznają), to niepotrzebnie przedstawiono go dokładnie tak jak w mandze. Ja rozumiem, trzeba zaadaptować jak najlepiej pierowzór, bo inaczej fani będą narzekać, ale umówmy się - to było kontrowersyjne już wtedy, gdy to napisano, a dzisiaj? Jestem w szoku, że ten wątek nie wywołał żadnego shitstormu w internecie. Kazirodztwo powinno być tępione, a nie przedstawiane w pozytywnym świetle. Ja wiem, inna kultura, Japonia jest o wiele bardziej liberalna, jeśli chodzi o seks z dziećmi i ich nagość, ale mogli to sobie odpuścić. Nawiązując do Amazonek, dużo bardziej cringe'owa była w zasadzie cała reszta. Gdybym musiał wyciąć wszystko (dialogi, pomysły Naoko Takeuchi), co albo mnie rozbawiło albo wprawiło w uczucie lekkiego wstydu i zażenowania, to wyrzuciłbym wiele scen. I wśród nich nie znalazłaby się chyba żadna dotycząca wątków, które niektórzy mogą postrzegać jako kontrowersyjny. Byłyby to co najwyżej niektóre dialogi, które były z niezrozumiałych dla mnie powodów kilkukrotnie powtarzalnePatrząc na to jednak z drugiej strony, czemu się dziwić? To bajka dla dzieci, dodatkowo akcja jest... Powiedzmy że "fantasy" z braku lepszego słowa, a ja jestem ponad 30-letnim facetem, więc nikogo to nie powinno dziwić. Podobne głupoty pojawiają się w mangach typu DB i tak, nie jest ich trochę mniej, nie są też aż tak bolesne, ale częściowo to wynika z tego, że jestem facetem i mam większą tolerancję na tego typu akcje w efektownych filmach akcji z Hollywoodu, czy w/w komiksach dla młodych chłopców lub nastolatków. Taka konwencja. Dlatego też nie będę już oglądał więcej "Sailor Moon". Może obejrzę jeszcze raz całość (czy raczej przejrzę, bo nudne lub mniej istotne fragmenty będę przewijał), jak Toei Animation zaadaptuje całą mangę, by mieć "pełny obraz", ale po tym dożywotnio zamknę ten rozdział w swoim życiu. Jeszcze jedno zdanie na temat tego, jak dobra jest to adaptacja - nigdy nie miałem styczności z mangą, ale rozmawiałem z dwiema koleżankami, które znam od lat, a ich wiedza na temat lore SM jest dużo większa niż u mnie. Generalnie są zgodne co do tego, że to wierna adaptacja, która przeniosła na ekran niemal wszystko, co mogliśmy zobaczyć w komiksie. Zabrakło dosłownie kilku scen, może trochę więcej. Poza tym wg nich, większość treści jest przedstawiona tak samo, jak w komiksie.

Jak pisałem po seansie na Facebooku, nie jest to poziom "Broly'ego" w kwestii grafiki, animacji etc. ale widać dużą poprawę względem serii TV. Czemu się nie dziwię, to w końcu film kinowy, a te mimo wszystko muszą spełniać przynajmniej jakieś określone standardy (pozdrawiam CDProject Red, które wydało "Cyberpunka" z mnóstwem błędów). Porównałem to w tym wpisie do filmu odtwarzanego w jakości 480p do wersji 1080p 60 FPS. Czemu? Bo kreska i styl animacji są takie same, ale poświęcono im zauważalnie więcej czasu i pracy. Generalnie jest ładnie, nie zauważyłem gorzej narysowanych postaci bohaterów i bohaterek, czy większych błędów na dalszym planie. Jeśli chodzi o animację, to wszystko porusza się w płynny sposób, CGI co do zasady też jest na dobrym poziomie. Czasami trafią się słabiej wykonane sceny, ale wyznaję zasadę, że jeśli takowych nie ma zbyt wiele, to nie zwracam na to dużej uwagi. Niestety nie jest to "Dragon Ball", czy inny battle-shounen, więc walki w SM są drastycznie uproszczone. Efektowne walki są przede wszystkim w 2 filmie, tam przynajmniej jest na co popatrzeć, jeśli ktoś lubi ładnie zaanimowane i narysowane sekwencje. Natomiast te z 1 są brzydsze, mniej efektowne, więc zostały pozbawione swoich głównych zalet. Jestem trochę rozczarowany, ale walki nigdy nie były mocną stroną tego komiksu, więc czepianie się o to byłoby bezzasadne moim zdaniem.

Eccomi con la mia entrata per la sedicesima puntata della partiko lottery, @moncia90 ha messo un tema al quale non potevo rimanere indifferente. Ecco il mio racconto sul tema cartoni. Come vedete neppure da grande ho smesso di amare e guardare i cartoni. Anche adesso amo guardare anime e film di animazione. Al contrario del pensiero comune molti cartoni non sono affatto da bambini anzi alcuni non sono affatto adatti ad essi. Però da bambina io amavo i cartoni, come tutti i bambini del mondo civilizzato credo. Ne guardavo più di ora? No, non credo, adesso con l'avvento di internet, Netflix, i siti streaming guardo molti più cartoni che da piccola. E poi adesso non ho genitori che mettono un freno alle ore di tv! Quindi posso fare maratone di cartoni da mattina a sera bevendo birra e mangiando patatine indisturbata. Tornando ai ricordi e agli eroi da piccola amavo come molte bambine Sailor Moon. Ne ho dei ricordi dolcissimi, non stavo nella pelle per vedere le nuove puntate e nella mia mente di bimba immaginavo me stessa nei panni della bionda eroina, mi vedevo a combattere il male con codini castani e l'uniforme e la mia amata gatta nera con me. A Natale e per il compleanno chiedevo sempre scettri e accessori di questa serie. Con affetto ricordo il mio scettro lunare, tenuto con me fino alla veneranda età di quindici anni. Scomparso definitivamente durante un trasloco, forse qualche fan collezionista l'ha rubato dalle mie scatole. Inoltre Sailor Moon per me non era solo un cartone animato ma anche in gioco. Tutte le mie amiche lo guardavano e quando fingevamo di essere le guerriere Sailor , c'era una guerra per interpretare Bunny, il nome della protagonista, Usagi in giapponese, cioè coniglietto. A me spesso toccava fare Sailor Mercury perché avevo i capelli corti, inizialmente la odiavo, poi imparai ad amare questo personaggio per la sua pazienza e intelligenza. Ricordo ancora stampato nella memoria un discorso di questa Sailor riguardo la pazienza come importante virtù.

Ovviamente non guardavo solo le Sailor, apprezzavo anche Lady Oscar e Piccoli problemi di cuore. Tutti cartoni dei quali in seguito ho comprato e letto con piacere la versione cartacea, come vedete ho ancora quella di Sailor Moon, ne ho addirittura più versioni, tanto mi piaceva!

Ad oggi colleziono manga e rileggo con affetto le storie della mia infanzia.

Ad oggi faccio alcuni cosplay e non vedo l'ora di trovare in gruppo con il quale interpretare le mitiche guerriere Sailor!

Plot

Hello everyone!

It's my first day back at work after my vacation.. Yaaaayyy. I'm being totally sarcastic. The first day back after vacation is always the worst. But it's okay! Because I need money. Lol.

I decided to doodle up a quick little portrait sketch of Sailor Moon while I'm waiting for the next round of work to start with some mechanical coloured pencils that I picked up while I was in America. I was taken to a lovely, magical, little place called Hobby Lobby and came across these bad boys.

I've never seen mechanical coloured pencils before so I figured what the hell and bought them. And I got them for 40% off too. So it's a win! :D I prefer mechanical pencils for the obvious reason that I don't have to sharpen them. Lol. Plus I like how pointy and sharp the lead always is so I can make sharp, thin lines when I'm drawing. It's good for my style of illustration.

Anyways! What do you think? :O It's just something quick that I did up in like ten minutes. Nothing fancy.

It's back to drawing tonight. Got some commissions to finish up. :) I'll post what I come up with!
