The story is based on a supermarket in which all food and products in general have life, they worship humans since they consider them gods who will take them 'To the great beyond' in said supermarket are a sausage named Frank and a Bun named Brenda who is his girlfriend, they both have the dream of going 'to the great beyond' together and thus consummate their love. Unfortunately when they were about to fulfill their dream they go out of the package and cause chaos so they simply have to try to return to their package but they will discover a great lie about that idyllic place.

Desgraciadamente cuando estaban a punto de cumplir su sueño se salen del paquete y ocasionan un caos por lo que sencillamente deben tratar de volver a su paquete pero descubrirán una gran mentira sobre aquel lugar idílico.

Absolutely all the characters in this movie are complete and utter pitiful garbage, they're just a horrible, repetitive joke that turns annoying, tired, and pitiful sooner rather than later. I'll quickly name them out of them: Frank the hot dog, Brenda the bun, Sammy Bagel Jr., Teresa del Taco, Barry another but misshapen hot dog, and Kareem Abdul Lavash.
Absolutamente todos los personajes de esta película son una completa y total basura lamentable, solo son un horrible y repetitivo chiste que se torna molesto, cansado y lamentable más temprano que tarde. Los nombrare rápidamente para salir de ellos: Frank la salchicha, Brenda el bollo, Sammy Bagel Jr., Teresa del Taco, Barry otra salchicha pero deforme y Kareem Abdul Lavash.
The animation is quite fluid and pleasant being the only aspect that I am going to praise about this film since in all the other sections it is a complete shit since even the soundtrack is non-existent and lacks personality.
La animación es bastante fluida y agradable siendo el único aspecto que voy a alagar de esta película puesto que en todos los demás apartados es una completa cagada ya que incluso la banda sonora es inexistente y carente de personalidad.
The construction of the world is extremely poor since it is only limited to establishing that food and other products on the market have life but nothing is really done with this, the fear of death is raised but it is really only mentioned and is not used in any way. in no way as a psychological element since it is only something that gives a momentary fear. At one point the issue is touched on how blindly believing in something is harmful since it is a sweet lie that replaces the harsh truth, however this is not deepened in any way, it is only mentioned and generates chaos but does not establish some kind of criticism about it, for that reason all the construction of world that this lamentable film presents is simply horrible.
La construcción de mundo es sumamente pobre puesto que solo se limita a establecer que los alimentos y demás productos del mercado tienen vida pero realmente no se hace nada con esto, se plantea el miedo a la muerte pero realmente solo es mencionado y no se usa de ninguna manera como un elemento psicológico puesto que solo es algo que da un miedo momentáneo. En un momento dado se toca el tema de como creer en algo ciegamente es perjudicial puesto que es una dulce mentira que sustituye la dura verdad, sin embargo esto no es profundizado de ninguna manera, solo se menciona y genera caos pero no establece alguna clase de crítica al respecto, por ello toda la construcción de mundo que presenta esta lamentable película es sencillamente horrible.
There is not really a fixed plot since it varies as the film progresses, although this change in objectives could turn out to be something positive, it is not the case since it only accentuates the lack of a clear purpose. His humor is repetitive and extremely vulgar, I usually love black humor but only when it is done with a certain degree of subtlety to give that intelligent character something that this film totally lacks. Finally, if anyone had the misfortune to see her, I'm sure they will be waiting for me to talk about this and it is of course the orgy scene (Because yes, there is a disgusting orgy) this is without a doubt the most uncomfortable, stupid and unpleasant that the film has, the worst thing is that it is only done to show that they can do it since it does not serve any purpose and is not even funny, it is simply nonsense that ends up consolidating it as a complete mess.
No existe realmente una trama fija puesto que esta va variando conforme avanza la cinta, si bien este cambio de objetivos podría llegar a ser algo positivo no es el caso puesto que solo acentúa la falta de una finalidad clara. Su humor es repetitivo y sumamente vulgar, suelo amar el humor negro pero solamente cuando este se realiza con cierto grado de sutileza para darle ese carácter inteligente algo de lo que este filme carece totalmente. Por último si alguno tuvo la desgracia de verla estoy seguro de que estarán esperando que hable de esto y es por supuesto la escena de la orgía (Porque sí, hay una asquerosa orgía) esto es sin lugar a dudas lo más incómodo, estúpido y desagradable que tiene la película, lo peor es que solo es hecho para demostrar que pueden hacerlo puesto que no cumple ningún propósito y no es siquiera gracioso, sencillamente es un despropósito que termina consolidándola como un completo bodrio.
In case it was not very clear previously, all the characters are simply forgettable, they are only a representation of clichéd and easy jokes that we all know, absolutely all abuse the double meaning phrases that, as I explained with black humor, these can be funny when They have a certain wit behind them, they are nice and funny when they demand a certain degree of intelligence from the viewer to be able to understand it but that does not happen here, they only bombard about sexual jokes and violence at every moment in the most basic way possible. Just as the characters are disgusting, their relationships are inconsequential since all interaction between them loses importance since from the first moment the characterization is very poor and everything they do or the relationships they do feel empty.
Por si no quedo muy claro anteriormente todos los personajes son sencillamente olvidables, solo son una representación de chistes clichés y fáciles que todos conocemos, absolutamente todos abusan de las frases de doble sentido que al igual que explique con el humor negro estas pueden ser graciosas cuando tienen cierto ingenio detrás, son agradables y chistosas cuando le exigen al espectador cierto grado de inteligencia para poder entenderlo pero eso no pasa aquí, solo bombardean sobre chistes sexuales y violencia a cada instante de la manera más básica posible. Así como los personajes son un asco sus relaciones son intrascendentes puesto que toda interacción entre estos pierde importancia ya que desde un primer momento la caracterización es muy pobre y todo lo que estos realicen o las relaciones que hagan se sienten vacías.
Sausage Party is one of the worst bazookas I've ever seen, it has no fixed direction and only uses the fact of being aimed at adults to perform stupid comedy about sex and present even more stupid violent scenes. That is why it deserves 1 star of 7, it is a misfortune in every way since it is simply an insult to intelligence by reducing the entertainment of adults to only sex and violence, this type of production is a nonsense to generalize adult humor to something vulgar, dirty and basic, that simplicity and laziness for not creating something really remarkable is what I end up condemning this piece of garbage.
Sausage Party es una de las peores bazofias que haya visto jamás, no tiene un rumbo fijo y solamente utiliza el hecho de ser dirigida a adultos para realizar comedia estúpida sobre sexo y presentar escenas violentas aún más estúpidas. Por ello merece 1 estrella de 7, es una desgracia en todo sentido puesto que sencillamente es un insulto a la inteligencia al reducir el entretenimiento de los adultos a solamente sexo y violencia, este tipo de producción son un despropósito al generalizar el humor para adulto a algo vulgar, sucio y básico, esa simpleza y pereza por no crear algo realmente destacable es lo que termino condenando a este pedazo de basura.

Sausage Party is a film that displays a true disconnect between critics and viewers given its overall scores are way too generous for what the film is: another animated comedy with adult themes for those with small attention spans and the concept of a penis in a vagina being the most hilarious thing possible.
While Sausage Party's concept of food being alive, unknown to man, and witnessing the horrors of our daily eating habits as we slice up their friends and family is smart and holds a lot of potential, it's not enough to maintain quality throughout a full-length feature. What does offer a few giggles is tarnished with lazy humour and filler content to maintain laughs.
Sausage Party takes on existentialism in a world far beyond comprehension after the realisation of its true nature, but none of that is the central focus of the film, it's constantly overlooked at the hand of lame one-liner jokes and sexual innuendos. Its smart narrative pillars are left to crumble as idiocy takes over.
I struggled to maintain awareness throughout the film. I often found myself glancing at my phone, or just thinking about what I should watch or do once the film ended; something that is incredibly rare for me to do. I wanted to give the film the benefit of the doubt and see where it takes me, to see whether its initial concept would be taken in a smart direction, but it turns out I was taken in the direction of a food orgy that lasted several minutes. How hilarious, right? Imagine a sausage in a bun, haha.
This film, I can't help but think, is an actual disaster. I can't begin to imagine what type of professional film critic would take a look at the film and say they can recommend it. To say that this is modern comedy is an insult to classic comedy itself.
Western animation is divided into three types. Most of it is the kid friendly variant with a moral message, some of it is super dark and violent without a message, and there is also this tiny part which finds a way to be dark and have a message. Sausage Party belongs in the third category.
It’s easy to say it stands out because they swear a lot and everything is about sex and cartoons are not supposed to be that shocking because they are for kids. That is a superficial quality to attract the casuals, but it doesn’t stop there. It’s also a social commentary of sorts, expanding to religion and the state of the world today. It sugarcoats it to make seem it’s innocent while at the same time not shying away from being vicious about it.
So essentially it’s an adult movie, pretending to be childish, pretending to be about adult themes. It’s meta squared, shows the middle finger to anything that is politically correct, or afraid of irritating certain groups of people, while at the same time making a point.
There is so much subversion going on in it when it comes to classic story templates, that if you are a pretentious overthinker it’s easy to write long essays about it. Starting with the premise which is essentially a parody of utopias turning dystopias, with talking food. Said food is all about food jokes based on where they are produced. And they swear, talk about sex, and wish to find salvation by worshiping the gods that are their creators. Us humans. Who of course do nothing but eating them. And we do not see them talking unless we take a lot of drugs, meaning drugs expand your horizons instead of frying your brain. And then it becomes about homosexuality, and saying no to all social norms. And just about you think it’s done, it goes even more meta by openly saying they know they are cartoons, created for entertainment.
Holy hell, that was brilliant. Every time you think the movie ran out of things to show you, it proves you wrong. You are constantly kept engaged without getting the same thing all the time or jumping to something completely different. There is uniformity amongst the various themes, the characters are funny, the food puns are creative, it gives you food for thought without turning the cast into lifeless mouthpieces, the stakes are high, there is no stupid reset in the end to undo the whole conflict with zero repercussions, and for a CGI movie it’s well animated. How can I not love it? There is not a single thing I didn’t like about it.
This is one of the best animated movies I have seen in my life, it’s highly recommended, and it goes instantly into my top cartoons list.
