Yesterday I watched a movie that made me think a lot, and it's precisely this type of movie that I like to choose when watching anime (you know I prefer feature films to series), but this one also combines many elements that make it unique, as it combines drama, action, and even comedy, so obviously all of this caught my attention right away.

    Overview/Resumen

Bakemono no Ko, or The Boy and the Beast, as it is known in English, is a film that tells the story of a boy who is tired of his life. He has lost both his parents (his mother died and his father is missing) and he simply cannot bring himself to live with distant relatives, so he decides to run away, hating his father for abandoning him. But from that hatred arises a shadow of darkness that, although it has been cast off, is still part of him. The boy continues to run away and somehow arrives in an alternate world inhabited by strange creatures, humanoid animals. However, there he meets Kumatetsu, who begins to train him to be his successor. The training lasts for years, so the boy, Ren, or Kyuta, as Kumatetsu prefers to call him, becomes a man. However, a great conflict arises when Kyuta decides to return to the human world, where he is reunited with that shadow of darkness that threatens to dominate him.

    My Opinion/Mi Opinión

I really liked the movie because I feel it explores many important elements such as the search for one's own identity, which begins to manifest itself especially during puberty, but intensifies even more in children who do not have parents or, worse still, who never even got to know them, since it is normal to want to know where you come from, what your roots are, or why you feel or think in a certain way. But something very important that this anime highlights throughout is that darkness (which I believe represents all negative feelings) only comes from human beings, and this is true. Animals are instinctive and act based on their needs, but humans have the ability to reason, plan, and develop their actions. They always have a tendency toward darkness (they are influenced in some way), but we also have the ability to let ourselves be carried away by that darkness or to stifle it.

On the other hand, the importance of cultivating knowledge is also highlighted, as education is a key tool in skill development. In the animal world, Kyuta received lessons from Kumatetsu to become stronger and develop physical skills, while in his own world he became interested in his academic education, receiving guidance from his friend Kaede. who not only helps him academically, but also helps him control his emotions and understand his father. Paradoxically, in his search for a university, he ended up finding his father and getting the answers he needed regarding his absence. But the greatest lesson in this regard is that students can also teach teachers. Kyuta, for example, taught Kumatetsu to be more organized, taught him to love and to have a purpose. In this way, student and teacher, or father and son, manage themselves in perfect symbiosis.

It's an ideal film to watch as a family to strengthen bonds and values. It talks about friendship, identity, education, respect, discipline, and of course, emotional management, so I highly recommend it 😃

  2. Anime Review~ The Boy and the Beast – From Runaway to Warrior@psyberkid360d

Hello friends, I hope you're doing well! Today I’m here with a heartfelt fantasy anime film that explores family, identity and growing up. If you're a fan of stories that mix adventure with emotion, then you’ll love The Boy and the Beast. Let’s dive into this tale of a lost boy and the beast who raised him.

      Story Summary

The Boy and the Beast follows the story of Ren, a lonely 9-year-old boy living in Tokyo. After losing his mother and being abandoned by his family, Ren runs away from home, full of anger and sadness. As he wanders the city, he stumbles into a hidden world called Juutengai, a realm inhabited by beasts with their own society and rules.

There, he meets Kumatetsu, a powerful but reckless bear-like warrior who’s searching for a disciple to train. Despite their differences, Kumatetsu takes Ren in and gives him a new name Kyuta. At first, they clash constantly, but over time, they develop a deep bond that resembles a father son relationship.

As Kyuta grows stronger in body and spirit, he begins to find a place in the beast world. But when his past from the human world calls him back, Kyuta must choose between two lives and face a dangerous force born from hatred and confusion.

The film explores themes like inner conflict, belonging and what it means to grow up. With stunning visuals, powerful action and heartfelt character arcs, The Boy and the Beast is both a fantasy adventure and a moving coming of age story.

      My review

The Boy and the Beast is a heart touching film. Another masterpiece is Wolf Children and Summer Wars done by the director Mamoru Hosoda. The transformation of Kyuuta, a bitter and lost boy to a powerful and caring young man was truly motivating and well written.

The animation is very lively particularly in the beast kingdom, it is colorful and alive. However, the thing that strikes home is the emotion quotient. The interaction between Kyuta and Kumatetsu is sloppy, too honest and very touching. I just adored how the story revealed that families are not always blood-related They are blood-related, people who raised us and pushed us towards becoming better people.

The message of the movie concerning the triumph of would have darkness really appealed to me. It does not matter whether you like fantasy, action, or emotional development, the Boy and the Beast should be watched. It makes us remember what a boy can become even with the presence of a beast. That's it.

Thanks you so much for reading. See you next :)

  3. Reseña de Bakemono no Ko/Review of Bakemono no Ko [ESP/ENG]@yasmarit460d

    ENGLISH

Hello dear friends of @theAnimerealm, it's a pleasure to stop by and tell you about a movie I saw recently, it's Bakemono no Ko or The boy and the beast. It is an anime based on the story of a boy who, due to the separation of his parents, decides to leave his father's family with whom he was living, and go to the streets, where by fate he will meet a beast that will guide him in the world and teach him to survive in it and be better every day, thus preventing the darkness from consuming him.

    Kamiari (8).gif

    **Design in CANVA**
Ren as I said before is a boy who decides to move away from his family because he did not like or congenial with them unlike when his parents and he were together, therefore, he goes to the streets but at one point he gets a beast called Kumatetsu, which comes from a parallel world where mystical species reigns, isolated from humans who were considered weak because they were easy to corrupt and fall into darkness, thus doing evil, but despite this Kumatetsu likes the young man and insinuates him to go to his world to be his successor. At first Ren does not like him, but in the company of a pet he got on the street he decides to go into it to see something new and stop being alone in the streets.

Upon arriving in this world Ren receives the name of Kyuta , at first he does not get along well with Kumatetsu but as their coexistence progresses and they discover each other they begin to have not only a relationship of teacher and student, but also of father and son, as they teach each other, seeing their mistakes and understanding that strength goes beyond something physical, which is knowing how to use your abilities and how to focus them for the good of the other, as long as you do not let evil corrupt you but using your strength for the welfare of yourself and yours.

Kyuta not only learns to defend himself, as the years go by he grows and matures in several aspects, realizing that he has never been alone, that thanks to being in that world of beasts and lord he learned not only the physical but also the warmth of a family and knowing how to forgive, meeting again with his father, meeting Kaede a girl who will become his friend and help him to study, helping Jiromaru to save himself from the darkness that haunts him for being human and having been raised by a beast, who loved him as his own son. Each of the aspects will teach him that life does not matter if you do not have blood traces with that person, the family is the one who takes care of you, encourages you, protects you and helps you to always give your best.

  4. The Boy and the Beast || Lonely Boy Meets Aloof Beast@ridgette510d

    20250213_192850.jpg

    Source

Being lonely is probably one of the worst feelings that we can feel. Yes, I'm an introvert and you'll probably wonder why loneliness would bother me, well for me, loneliness isn't just the absence of the presence of other people but also the fact that you know no one will be there at your side when you need it. There are many times I'm alone, but I don't feel lonely because I know there are people out there who care for me. I rather be alone than be with who made me feel lonely. However, not everybody is fortunate to have people they can rely on, and at some point, the MC of the movie I watched yesterday experienced that.

    IMG_20250213_213814.jpg

It's my first time watching a movie directed by Mamoru Hosoda so I have no idea what to expect. I've heard a lot of good reviews about his other anime movies, but I never had a chance to check them out. However, I happened to stumble upon this in my feed, and this time I really got curious about its concept and characters, so now be with me as I share with you my review of the story of the boy who became part of the two races—the beasts and the humans, in The Boy and the Beast.

    About the Anime

    IMG_20250213_213922.jpg

The Boy and the Beast (Bakemono no Ko) is an anime movie that aired last July 15, 2015. This hour and 59-minute movie was directed by Mamoru Hosoda and was animated by Studio Chizu. This an original fantasy movie that explores the themes of loss and family, and this later on had a manga and novel adaptation.

    IMG_20250213_214005.jpg

Losing her mother after a road accident, it seems Ren had also lost his father that day. He despises living with his mother's relatives, so he fled away from them and wandered on the busy streets of Shibuya. Filled with both anger and sadness, he continues to wander until he meets a mysterious man—no, not exactly a man but a beast-man named Kumatetsu. He asked Ren if he could be his apprentice which he initially rejected. However, after being chased by policemen, Ren was desperate to escape and unknowingly he followed Kumatetsu to Shibuten—a world where various beasts thrive.

    IMG_20250213_214030.jpg

Their relationship at first was rocky both because of Kumatetsu's harshness and Ren's stubbornness. Kumatetsu is certainly far from an ideal master because of his inexperience in dealing with people other than himself. Like Ren, he also grew up with no one to take care of him other than himself. Can these two lonely souls fill in the void that had been carved up their hearts? Or will they let their egos continue feeding darkness to that void until they're left with nothing but loneliness?

    IMG_20250213_214334.jpg

Its concept really fascinated me because it's been some time since I last watched a fantasy anime. The plot follows the usual shounen-like backstory—the MC losing a mother or both parents then a master will raise them. The first half of the story followed a steady and gradual progress of their relationship as a master and apprentice which later on evolved into something more familial. I really like how they portrayed the gradual build-up and improvement of their relationship. It may be the usual love-hate relationship, but I liked how they delivered those scenes humorously and touchingly.

    IMG_20250213_214354.jpg

However, I don't know if it's just me, but I found the pacing in the later parts fast and really rushed. I know it's probably a way to balance out its slow start, however, I felt it would have been delivered well if it were delivered in a gradual pace—especially the part where he went back to human world. I think that those scenes would have more depth if they're slowly unfolded. Worse, it gets more rushed as the end gets near. That part has the main conflict and I think it shouldn't be rushed. Also, the introduction of the real villain in the last minutes felt off. Of 'course there are subtle hints that he'll end up like that, but I just don't find them that convincing.

    IMG_20250213_214635.jpg

Anyway, despite the rushed end, I was still satisfied with its end, however, how it was delivered was certainly a different matter. From the beast to the human characters, all of them were somehow portrayed in a quirky and relatable way. Their struggles were something I can relate to, and that's one of the aspects I like about this movie. Also, I was, at some point, hooked up on how those characters achieved their character development. They aren't that complete change for the best, but I find it heartwarming to watch how they unconsciously improved as the movie went on.

    IMG_20250213_214712.jpg

As for its art style, it isn't like the new ones that are full of details, but it effectively delivered the emotions that the characters ought to portray. Although the visuals aren't that stunning, I still find it memorable. Most of the character designs weren't meant to stand out—except Kumatetsu's of 'course. With his subdued red fur that complements his brightly colored katana, he's really an eye-catching character and that design certainly fits how he should have been remembered. The colors that were used were mostly subdued or pastels, and they're easy on the eyes and surprisingly comforting. The animation was also nice, and it definitely made me enjoy watching those fight scenes.

    IMG_20250213_214555.jpg

Meanwhile, its soundtrack is as fine as its art style. It doesn't have that many songs in it, but the way they're able to utilize the background sound somehow made up for it. I was amazed at how they're able to use them to amplify more the emotions—especially that whale part! I really felt goosebumps while listening to its sounds, and it's somehow both enthralling and creepy to hear. Also, the ending song did match well with the overall story of the anime, and it really kept me until the end of the credits.

    IMG_20250213_214802.jpg

Overall, my rating for this anime 8.5/10! The premise and plot were promising, but it fell short on how the end was executed. As I said, the last parts felt really rushed, but anyway, aside from that I enjoyed watching it. Certain parts somehow featured romantic subplot, which I thought at first was quite trivial—considering what the story was all about—but it turns out their connection is one the important things that will guide the MC to be the better version of himself.

    IMG_20250213_214833.jpg

I like that kind of romance, although it is so subtle, it's so meaningful and I'm really satisfied with how the end also hinted a promising development in his life—romance included hehe. So if you're up for a fantasy movie that has a bunch of relatable characters, a pinch of romance, and a ton of heartwarming scenes then this review is your sign to check out one of Mamoru Hosoda's movies, The Boy and the Beast.

Before I end this review, I'll share with you its trailer, so—

  5. Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka (The Boy and The Heron) --- another thought-provoking Ghibli anime!@tegoshei627d

I had already thought of some thought-provoking anime as an entry for the monthly quest. I originally wanted to either rewatch ***Mushishi*** or watch another Satoshi Kon movie. However, earlier this week, I saw ***"The Boy and the Heron"*** released on Netflix, so I changed my mind. I intended to watch it soon, but I got busy and things got out of hand. Now, I could finally breathe *(literally and figuratively)*, so I took the chance to watch it.

From the Japanese title itself --- 君たちはどう生きるか Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka?), it already shouts the philosophy of life. The title literally translates to How do you live? in English... and from that alone, we could look into ourselves and think, "How do I live?"
    Let's talk about the anime...

The story is about a little boy named Mahito who lost his mom in a fire that occurred in the hospital she's staying in. A couple of years later, his father married his mother's younger sister Natsuko. He and his father then moved out of Tokyo to live in his mother's family home in the rural part of Japan.

His young mind found everything so overwhelming, though he tried to appear that he was doing fine. He's still grieving his mom, and the unfamiliar place and people are too much for him... what's more, he discovered that Natsuko was pregnant.

The young boy's struggles didn't end there. A bizarre gray heron who can talk kept on taunting him. It told him that his mother was alive and that he should come with the heron to the mysterious tower near the house, but Mahito didn't get swayed easily.

One day, Natsuko went missing. Mahito saw her walking towards the tower before the incident, so he courageously went in to rescue her. As he entered the tower, he was brought into a different world where life and death seemed to meet. He explored the new world he stumbled into to find Natsuko with the heron as his guide.
He's only able to safely go back home if he finds out what it means to live. Below is the trailer of the said animated film.

    [VIDEO SOURCE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trSeKjKHkq8)

As expected of Hayao Miyazaki... this film is another masterpiece!
The art style, animation, and music are without a doubt phenomenal... it's quite expected from a Ghibli film, so let me focus on my thoughts about the story...
Everyone's feelings are valid regardless of your age. Mahito was a young boy, but he was clearly experiencing grief after losing his mom. It's obvious how he's struggling with his way to the final stage of the process which is acceptance. He's caught between the phases of denial, anger, and sometimes bargaining. He is sad, but he's hiding it... and the anime is so great at bringing life to these stages in a mystical way.
It's normal to worry about the future. Nobody knows what will happen in the future, so it's a given that we're anxious or even scared about it. This feeling of anxiety was reflected in Natsuko, especially with regards to her pregnancy and having a family.
People tend to have a goal and I think it's a great thing because it helps us focus and give us direction on which path to take. Without it, we tend to get lost... Sometimes, we tend to do things without thinking. However, when we're already in such a position, I think it's best to just man up and face whatever consequences there are.
I believe that life is about taking risks and leaving no regrets. Sometimes, we have to face unfamiliarities to move on to the next chapter. The decision is ours to take. However, we have to remember that our pace varies. Some people tend to decide fast, while others take time to think. Let's respect each other and live life the way we want it. It's great to offer help or advice, just don't push your principles on others.
OK... I'm deviating from the anime, but these are my realizations while watching it. It's an amazing movie that would allow you to ponder on life, death and the like. I highly recommend it!
Thanks for reading and see you around! (^^,)/

  6. (ESP-ENG) Bakemono no ko - Movie Review!@javyeslava.photo742d

    **

Hello friends, good vibes to all.

    **

Hola amigos, buenas vibras para todos.

    Source!

Have you ever wondered if it is possible for someone to change thanks to another person, do we really have that capacity or influence over others? - I would say yes, although I often think that people do not change, they only modify habits and customs. I ask this question because it is more or less the premise of this spectacular film by the great Mamoru Hosoda, how is it possible that with just the arrival of a child in the life of a beast he can change it so much to the point that throughout the film he is able to give us a few life lessons. Both last week's film and this one go hand in hand because it has a very cool message and that's why I feel everyone should check it out.

This film focuses on two characters. The first is Kyuuta, an orphan boy who lives on the streets of Tokyo running away from everything. Given his condition he feels quite lonely even though he always tries to show a hard shell; he lost his mom and his dad one day stopped being with him. On the other side we have Kumatetsu, a beast that lives in a parallel world where humans are not accepted. This creature is looking to be the great master of that world but to be able to opt for that he needs at least one disciple and that's when both cross each other's path. Kyuuta, having no better place to go, decides to go with Kumatetsu without knowing what awaits him.

Once in this world Kyuuta's training begins, it must be said that it does not start well because Kumatetsu is a very irascible creature, without manners, loud and without any knowledge of how to be a good teacher. Little by little and with a lot of sacrifice and patience, a relationship is formed between them very similar to that of a father/son in which each one has had to learn a little from the other even though both are very stubborn. The thing here is that humans are not allowed to enter this world because the beasts say that we have darkness in our souls and that it can spread to their world. This is about to happen being then the key moment of the relationship between this master and his pupil.

The plot of this film is very simple but very catching, to see how this relationship develops, with its ups and downs is a very cool thing to see and even funny because the two hardly give their arm to twist. There are moments of reflection, introspection that make the plot very deep and enriching, as I said behind everything there are very useful life lessons like trusting each other, having the will to change, to listen, to recognize mistakes, to be a better person or in this case beast but above all to be very understanding with the other in the sense of understanding what they are going through and try to be empathetic. I know it all sounds very cliché but honestly the movie is very fulfilling.

The animation is outstanding, combining 2D with 3D in a way that makes it look very top notch. The gestures, the fluidity, the colors, everything comes together to make it a visual gem. There are not many action scenes but the ones that there are are very well done, they are mostly fights where we see pure martial arts, sword fights and a bit of fantasy as beasts are fighting. Speaking of fantasy, it's another theme that I really liked, how both worlds come together for the benefit of the characters, in this case Kyuuta. He has his life in Jūtengai as well as in the human world so the story at times becomes parallel, hence making it super entertaining.

The characters are top and pillars of this plot. Ren or Kyuuta is a boy/young man with many internal problems for not having grown up with a family, there are many grudges, fears and even hatred that he can experience. Also at times he suffers from an identity crisis because being raised by beasts makes it difficult for him to relate to humans, fortunately he meets someone who saves him from these gaps. Kumatetsu on the other hand is also someone quite lonely, that's why he is so repellent, not being chosen by anyone and everyone seeing him as an ogre created a dry mood and a complicated personality. Hence these two eventually achieve the empathy in common that makes them end up having the relationship they harvested.

All in all, an incredible film that touches on very deep themes and develops them in a very beautiful way. You are likely to cry if you are an easy tearjerker? - You probably will, I'm telling you. Good animation, good plot and better characters. It's just under two hours long. You can watch it on Max or Prime Video and even Crunchyroll. I'll leave the trailer below.

Hi Hive friends, sorry I've been absent for this week or a bit longer, as I didn't get organized and college stuff piled up on me. I had to focus on getting them done, I went two days without sleep, but in the end it got done and already, on the day of delivery, I fell asleep 5 hours in the afternoon and slept all night. I was really tired. Don't do that, organize your activities and then you will be able to do everything you had planned for that week. I saw this movie with my sister, we were looking for something to watch and it looked interesting. I was really expecting something different or common interactions, so to speak, but I quite liked it regardless. So let's go with the review.

The movie starts with our main character, Ren, who is a 9 year old boy and finds himself in a pretty complicated position for his age. His mother passes away and his father is unable to take care of him. In addition, someone from his family tried to help him, but he didn't let himself and preferred to run away to the street, where he encounters different difficulties, even being chased by the police, as a child cannot walk around alone.

    <img src="https://jesulink.com/img/post/2016/boy-beast-1.jpg

One day, while he is lost in the city or just walking around, he crouches down next to some bicycles and is approached by someone wearing a hood, who asks him about his parents. Ren, hearing this, gets angry and tells him to shut up, but when he sees what is in front of him, he is silent and can only see his eyes. He says "you're a beast", this one throws it away and tells him that it's not bad at all that if he wants, he could come with him. Ren is stunned and they leave, but Ren, coming to his senses, chases after them, although he loses sight of them. He then encounters some policemen who ask him why he is alone and he runs away. As he does so, he can see the beast enter an alley. He plucks up his courage and chases after it, only to discover a large world inhabited by different beasts, called Jutenkai.

    https://i.pinimg.com/originals/8c/82/d5/8c82d558f7ce18643a0f7a51503eccb0.gif https://64.media.tumblr.com/8a9c83f9cfe01156eda2b36fb3f35770/tumblr_o5srjaBvyy1s92c53o3_540.gifv

The beast finds him and tells him that he is proud that he was able to make it. This one is named Kumatetsu and wants a disciple, but Ren doesn't really want to be his apprentice, so he runs away from him. But before this, Kumatetsu changes Ren's name to Kyuta. Ren searches for him and meets another great warrior named Iozan. Upon learning that Kumatetsu has a human apprentice, he begins to fight him, due to the fact that humans can harbor great darkness that can destroy the world of beasts and humans. During this fight, Ren realizes that everyone supports Iozan, but no one supports Kumatetsu. Seeing this, he identifies with him and decides to support him, but Kumatetsu still loses to Iozan. Almost at the end of the fight, another character arrives who is called the grandmaster. In this part we are given to understand why these two fight or what their goal is, which is to be successors of the great master, since he announced his retirement and decides to become a god, but it is not yet known what kind of god. So Kumatetsu takes Ren to his house and here begins the adventure of these two and how these two characters heal their various wounds as they form a bond with each other.

This movie is one of those that I could really watch twice, as they work very well the development of each character and the different situations they have to go through and how they really feel. Like the situation of these two, Kyuta with no one to support him and Kumatetsu the same way. And how this relationship got these two to fill the void that was inside of each other. You really get attached to each of these characters and can empathize with them, of how someone who always wanted to get away from everyone can make certain sacrifices for someone they really loved. Furthermore, we will see these forms with funny and touching interactions, which makes for some light moments in the course of the film, despite delving into strong themes such as loss and loneliness. In addition, we also see how negative feelings can really affect a person. So, if you like movies with good character development and well-choreographed fights, I highly recommend this film.

    <img src="https://jesulink.com/img/post/2016/boy-beast-1.jpg https://hanagasaitayo.files.wordpress.com/2018/10/mainv02.jpg?w=1200

    https://i.pinimg.com/originals/8c/82/d5/8c82d558f7ce18643a0f7a51503eccb0.gif https://64.media.tumblr.com/8a9c83f9cfe01156eda2b36fb3f35770/tumblr_o5srjaBvyy1s92c53o3_540.gifv

It is the first animation that I have seen from this Japanese studio, and, despite this, I can admit that I quite liked the style that was given to the film, most of the time the drawing can seem simple and with few details but in the most important moments it manages a level of quality and details that are simply spectacular, the same happens with the level of fluidity which is maintained excellently throughout the film; The latter being the one that gives a very pleasant character to all the animation in general.

The construction of the world is the weakest section, with this I do not mean that it is a complete disaster or anything similar, although it is the one that feels with the least work, throughout the film some beautiful scenarios are shown but Really, none of them are spectacular or anything that resembles them, in fact, their context feels incomplete because many elements remain unfinished and little explored ideas, ergo, many loose ends are left that could have been worked on better. Something similar happens with the social aspect, the relationship between the human world and the beast world is not really detailed, being a quite important point for the plot, this lack of exploitation is a waste because there was an interesting latent potential between said worlds. Again, it's not that it's rubbish but it does show that it's not at the level of the other sections.

The plot is very pleasant to watch, its main attraction lies in watching the protagonist grow and the relationships that he forges throughout his growth, at the same time, he knows how to incorporate various moments in a good way that range from some emotional to others completely tense, which makes the animation much more interesting. Narratively it is captivating, the film focuses on seeing the growth of the protagonist and during this process it organically involves various reflections that fit together very well and stand out for giving a certain psychological nuance to the premise that suits it very well, some twists that incorporates are very well inserted so they give it a good touch. Two hours may seem like a lot, however, the film knows how to use its time very well to the point that it is never tedious or boring, something that is difficult for films of more than an hour and a half, which is why its various twists, moments tension, reflective, etc., are executed in an excellent way.

It is very pleasant to see the growth of the protagonist, throughout the film you can see how he gradually matures, and, more importantly, the way in which his relationships with him change, this not only denotes good characterization but also a certain degree of three-dimensionality. by showing different interests and attitudes towards some things and people, as well as being affected by the various discoveries he makes. Another very pleasant success is the relationship that he maintains with his caregiver, as I mentioned previously, this changes as Ren matures, however, the most pleasant thing is to see how Kumatetsu also shows a well-achieved characterization that gives meaning to his various actions and that be consistent with how you feel about your adopted son, this set of elements makes it easy to become attached to both of them and everything that happens to them is important to the viewer. The villain is not notable for how he is built but for what he represents, in essence he reflects what the protagonist could have become if he had not been guided by the right people, this concept is very pleasant because they present the possibility of a destiny that could have come to pass, and the confrontation between him and the protagonist feels like a fight to achieve his own catharsis, something simply wonderful.

The Boy and the Beast is an animated film that is very pleasant because it knows how to work most of its sections well. This good general development results in a film that is a pleasure to watch due to the obvious growth of its protagonist. and the bonds that it creates, as well as the fact that it has various moments of reflection that fit perfectly with the theme of the film. It is for all of the above that it deserves 5 stars out of 7, highly recommended if what you want is to get attached to its characters and feel captivated by the various directions that they take as a result of having matured both physically and psychologically.

Hello everyone! I recently had the opportunity to see a film that I really liked, it is "The Boy and the Beast", an animation of the fantasy and adventure genre, which caught my attention since it featured anthropomorphic animals. I really like how the animators manage to stylize the animals to give them human features and by giving them personality, you can easily empathize with the characters.

On the other hand, Kumatetsu is a strong warrior from the world of beasts, with the appearance of a bear, who dreams of defeating his rival and becoming the successor of the Grand Master, but to achieve this, his mentor has advised him to look for a disciple to teach it, since all his life Kumatetsu has been a loner and without knowing it, it has affected him not only in combat, but also in his spirit. However, the warrior does not really believe in the words of his teacher, not seeing the need for him to look for a disciple when he has managed all the time alone. It is in one of his trips to the human world, together with Tatara, one of his companions, Kumatetsu is in the streets with Ren.

At first Ren refuses, completely reluctant to her request. Noticing that Kumatetsu leaves after the proposal and with no place to go, the boy decides to follow in his footsteps, guided by curiosity, thus reaching the hidden door that leads to the world of beasts. There, humans are not usually allowed to enter, since they contain a dark force in their hearts that they are unable to control. In the crowd, Ren finds Kumatetsu, who at that moment challenges Iosen, his rival, to fight. The boy remains expectant watching the battle and realizes that Kumatetsu does not receive the support of anyone, it is then that he feels an affinity with him, since he is also alone in the world. Despite his defeat, Ren is impressed with the warrior's strength and decides to accept Kumatetsu's proposal to be his disciple, hoping to become as strong as him.

However, things will not be easy. Both will be subjected to constant quarrels and the constant clash of both temperaments, over time they will adjust to their roles as teacher and disciple, where Komatetsu will adopt a kind of father figure for little Ren. I will not continue telling you so that you are encouraged to see it. What I liked the most about the film is how it reflects coping with changes and the way in which our decisions are linked to our hearts.
