Hello Movies & TV Shows friend, if you follow me or have read some of my posts in this community you know that the genre of psychological stress, suspense and drama is my favorite, besides the biopic, and the movie I want to review today is so strange that I don't know where to start, some time ago I had seen its poster and I thought I should choose very well the moment to watch it.

It is titled the hole because it is the EVERYTHING in this story, a hole is the environment where the film takes place, in the hole is where you can live the ugliest experiences, in the hole is where you can fall into the void and is the end of everything.

It begins with a man who answers an interview and in it they ask him some questions as if it were a job interview, but then they get a little weird like what is your favorite food, what is allergic, purely routine questions and other somewhat strange, Ivan Massagué plays Goreng who wants to enter this survival test to get the accreditation of a diploma, the case is that if selected will have to spend about 3 months in the hole, but do not really tell him nothing and does not know what he's getting into.

Suddenly he wakes up lying in a simple bed, surrounded by white walls, with a washbasin, a mirror and a small well, he also sees a big number, 42 and on the other side there is another bed with a slightly older man, the most singular thing is that in the middle of this space there is a big hole, it is a square that if they get too close they could fall in. Through this hole goes up and down a kind of elevator that I will write about later.

Hola amigo de Movies & TV Shows, si me sigues o has leído algunas de mis publicaciones en esta comunidad sabes que el género de estrés psicológico, suspenso y drama es mi favorito, además del biopic, y la película que hoy quiero reseñar es tan extraña que no sé por donde empezar, hace algún tiempo había visto su póster y me pareció que debía escoger muy bien el momento para verla.

Se titula el hoyo porque es el TODO en esta historia, un hoyo es el ambiente donde se desarrolla la película, en el hoyo es donde se puede vivir las más feas experiencias, en el hoyo es donde puedes caer al vacío y es el fin de todo.

Inicia con un hombre que responde una entrevista y en la misma le hacen unas preguntas como si se tratara de una entrevista de trabajo, pero después se van poniendo algo raras como cuál es su comida favorita, a que es alérgico, puras preguntas de rutinas y otras algo extrañas, Iván Massagué interpreta a Goreng quien quiere ingresar a esta prueba de supervivencia para conseguir la acreditación de un diploma, el caso es que si es seleccionado tendrá que pasar unos 3 meses en el hoyo, pero no le dicen en realidad nada y no sabe en lo que se está metiendo.

De repente se despierta acostado en una cama sencilla, rodeado de paredes blancas, con un lavamanos, un espejo y una poceta, también se ve un número grande, el 42 y al otro lado hay otra cama con un señor un poco mayor, lo más singular es que en el medio de este espacio hay un hoyo grande, es un cuadrado que si se acercan mucho podrían caer. Por ese hoyo sube y baja una especie de ascensor que de esto escribiré más adelante.

While his companion observes him without saying a word, Goreng is full of doubts, he wants to know what this place is and begins to ask the man who accompanies him, but he answers with irony. Goreng is an apparently good man, who believes in justice and human rights.

On the contrary, his companion Trimagasi has been in the hole for several months and knows the system, with his unique sense of ironic humor he answers his companion's questions without causing fear, but that is what he instills. All the people who enter the hole do so voluntarily and therefore believe that they can get out of it whenever they want, a simile of real life, but it is not so, whoever falls into the hole has no more chance.

Trimagasi is of few words, because he does not want to exhaust himself, talking exhausts him, this phrase is repetitive in the character, and ends up being a joke every time he pronounces it until his partner begins to mimic him and this makes him angry, he explains that every week they change the floor and they do not know where they will end up, they move them according to their behavior, I relate it to their sins. Those at the top are in a better position than those at the bottom, and what they must do is resist, adapt and endure, the strongest will win, but in the hole no one wins.

Trimagasi who confuses, shows himself as someone wise, who respects and knows the limits, but deep down he is a psychopath, he says that he is in the hole because his TV broke down and fed up with its failure he threw it out the window of his apartment causing the death of a person then they put him to choose between a psychiatric hospital or the hole and he decided for the latter, his object to carry is a huge knife that the more he uses it the sharper it gets, the history of this knife is also hallucinating.

Remember I mentioned something about an elevator, well it turns out that the hole that is inside these cell type rooms, is a huge square where it goes down and up a platform which he called elevator, this platform descends full of food with the most exquisite dishes and desserts that people mentioned in the interviews before entering, It happens once a day and stops for a few minutes so that the only two people on each level can eat what they want, but they can not save food, this cycle is repeated and those below are feeding on the leftovers left by those above, no one knows how many levels there are in total.

As every week they change the level or floor and they do not know in which one they will be or with whom, they must take advantage of the level that favors them, in this time of confinement they must endure torture from the company that touches them and hunger unleash the worst acts that man can do.

Goreng nuestro protagonista se despierta confundido y observa que tiene a su lado el objeto que decidió llevar, porque en la entrevista le dan la opción de escoger un único objeto que puede llevar al hoyo, él escogió un libro, pues él pensaba que se iba a un retiro o algo parecido. Mientras su compañero lo observa sin decir una palabra, Goreng está lleno de dudas, quiere saber que es ese lugar y comienza a preguntar al señor que lo acompaña, pero este le contesta con ironía. Goreng es un hombre aparentemente bueno, que cree en la justicia y los derechos humanos.

Al contrario, su compañero Trimagasi lleva varios meses en el hoyo y conoce el sistema, con su singular sentido de humor irónico le va respondiendo las preguntas a su compañero sin causar miedo, pero es lo que infunde. Todas las personas que entran en el hoyo lo hacen voluntariamente y por eso creen que pueden salir del cuándo quieran, un símil de la vida real, pero no es así, quien cae en el hoyo ya no tiene más oportunidad.

Trimagasi es de pocas palabras, porque no quiere agotarse, hablar lo agota, esta frase es repetitiva en el personaje, y termina siendo un chiste cada vez que lo pronuncia hasta que su compañero comienza a remedarlo y esto lo hace enojar, explica que cada semana los cambian de piso y que ellos no saben a donde van a parar, los mueven según su comportamiento, yo lo relacione a sus pecados. Los de arriba están en mejor posición que los de abajo, y lo que deben hacer es resistir, adaptarse y aguantar, los más fuertes ganaran, pero en el hoyo nadie gana.

Trimagasi que confunde, se muestra como alguien sabio, que respeta y conoce los límites, pero en el fondo es un psicópata, él cuenta que está en el hoyo porque su televisor se descompuso y harto de que fallara lo lanzó por la ventana de su apartamento ocasionado la muerte de una persona entonces lo pusieron a escoger entre un hospital psiquiátrico o el hoyo y se decidió por este último, su objeto para llevar es un cuchillo enorme que mientras más lo usa más filoso se pone, la historia de este cuchillo también es alucinante.

Recuerdas que mencioné algo de un ascensor, bueno resulta que el hoyo que está dentro de estas habitaciones tipo celda, es un enorme cuadrado por donde baja y sube una plataforma a la que llamó ascensor, esta plataforma desciende llena de comida con los más exquisitos platos y postres que mencionaron las personas en las entrevistas antes de entrar, pasa una vez al día y se detiene breves minutos para que las únicas dos personas de cada nivel puedan comer lo que quieran, pero no pueden guardar comida, este ciclo se repite y los de abajo se van alimentando de las sobras que dejan los de arriba, nadie sabe cuantos niveles hay en total.

Como cada semana los cambian de nivel o piso y ellos no saben en cuál quedarán ni con quién, deben aprovechar las ventajas del nivel que los favorece, en este tiempo de encierro deben aguantar tortura de la compañía que les toca y el hambre desatan los peores actos que el hombre puede hacer.

🎥 It is a film of dystopian realism in a subjective and surrealistic way, that is to say, it shows in a crude and perverse way how society works and how people become dehumanized in the face of survival. Those at the top don't care about those at the bottom literally defecating on their face, showing scenes of cannibalism, abuses of all kinds but without leaving aside good feelings, generosity, empathy and loyalty.

🎥 If you watch this film with an open mind you can carry deep reflections: how everything that happens to us is a product of our choices, to what we give value in life, if you are at the top you abuse that power or, on the contrary, you think of others, you think that by example you teach and you can sow collective consciousness of welfare, what line would you be willing to cross to survive. It is an allegory of society that reflects politics and religion with humor, because it is very funny.

🎥 It is a movie with few characters, no more than 9 and with a single environment or setting, it has unpleasant scenes, but necessary and keeps you entertained from the beginning. I liked it and I think it is one of those that can't be forgotten because of the impact of its plot and the intrinsic message.

🎥 The performances were great both from the main character and the co-star, I was able to empathize with both of them, but I was attracted to Trimagasi (Zorion Eguileor) his cold, eloquent, psychotic, sarcastic and practical way of being made me smile a lot.

🎥 Es una película de realismo distópico de forma subjetiva y surrealista, es decir, muestra de forma cruda y perversa como funciona la sociedad y cómo las personas se deshumanizan frente a la supervivencia. A los que están arriba no les importa los de abajo defecándose en su cara literalmente, muestran escenas de canibalismo, abusos de todo tipo pero sin dejar a un lado los buenos sentimientos, la generosidad, la empatía y la lealtad.

🎥 Si miran esta película con la mente abierta se puede llevar reflexiones profundas: como todo lo que nos pasa es producto de nuestras elecciones, a que le damos valor en la vida, si estás arriba abusas de ese poder o, por el contrario, piensas en los demás, crees que con el ejemplo enseñas y puedes sembrar conciencia colectiva de bienestar, qué línea estarías dispuesto a cruzar para sobrevivir. Es una alegoría de la sociedad que refleja la política y la religión con humor, porque es muy divertida.

🎥 Es una película con pocos personajes, no pasan de 9 y con un único ambiente o escenario, tiene escenas desagradables, pero necesarias y te mantiene entretenido desde el inicio. Me gustó y creo que es de esas que no se pueden olvidar por lo impactante de su argumento y el mensaje intrínseco.

🎥 Las actuaciones fueron de lujo tanto de protagonista como el coprotagonista, logré empatizar con los dos, pero me sentí atraída por Trimagasi (Zorion Eguileor) su fría, elocuente, psicótica, sarcástica y practica forma de ser me saco muchas sonrisas.
