Underworld es el primer film de toda una franquicia que revive el conflicto entre vampiros y lobos desarrollando dos historias en paralelo donde una de ellas me encanta y la otra se queda a mitad de camino, todo acompañado de un azul muy frío que refleja la muerte de los vampiros y una protagonista potente, preciosa que junto con su look vampírico y estilo acompañada de un vestuario de guerrera atrevida me enamora totalmente.
Estos elementos que son los monstruos han acompañado el cine desde sus inicios y que últimamente percibo han perdido fuerza pero en mi caso adoro, disfruto como se usan estas dos clases de monstruos en el lienzo de las mentes en cada director y guionistas que se inspiran en ellos para elaborar una historia que en este caso la realizan Len Wiseman, Kevin Grevioux y Danny Mcbride que establecieron un muy buen lore en torno a vampiros y licántropos.
Si pienso se han romantizado demasiado, dependiendo de la historia esto puede gustar más o menos y en este caso me ha agradado la protagonista pero sus rivales Hombres Lobos y Licántropos a pesar de imponer estéticamente, les falta dominio estratégico durante el film porque hay una guerra pero percibo que muchas cosas suceden por suceder.

En el caso vampiro físicamente me agradan las mujeres que veo, la estructura sensual, sexy, libertina que se les ha dado me gusta pero no me convence sus poderes sobrenaturales a nivel general, a veces pienso que solo veo otros humanos mas y durante el conflicto de la historia me es difícil creer lo que me plantea porque para nada los veo dominantes, de hecho los veo muy frágiles excepto dos de ellos que son Selene interpretada por Kate Beckinsale y Viktor interpretado por Bill Nighy, ambos personajes extremadamente disfrutables y con una fuerte historia que atrae en la película.
Tiene dos caminos argumentales, uno que maneja la historia de estos vampiros y toda su estructura organizativa en la que por cada siglo gobierna uno junto con sus conflictos internos y otra que tiende hacia la ciencia, genética que de verdad me quita el interés en la historia que se me presenta.
Esta última es la parte más débil del film porque no le veo consistencia en ningún aspecto, hay un personaje llamado Michael Corvin que no siento ninguna empatía por él, puede estar o no y el film me da exactamente igual porque mis ojos están plenamente en la trama cerrada de Selene y Viktor.

En el film domina mucho la acción, considero esta bien desarrollada porque su entorno es moderno y las armas vaya que son letales pero esto a la vez le quita mucho poder a estos seres sobrenaturales, con armas solucionas todo, hay habilidad de pelea, sí pero con un arma bien ejecutada no hay esas batallas cuerpo a cuerpo que me encanta ver, hay es masacres que caen en lo trivial, el que tenga la mejor arma gana y en este caso no es lo que quisiera ver.
Por eso lo anterior me impresiona pero preferiría fuera menos porque las batalla cuerpo a cuerpo si que las disfruto enormemente, el como se masacran, como se golpean, se destrozan, veo el odio entre razas en los golpes cosa que no lo veo en las balas, me gustaría fuera un poco menos este recurso y se centraran más en la fuerza bruta.
UnderWorld es una película que se disfruta plenamente, entretiene totalmente y se merece 7.5 chiquitos de 10 porque establece todo un concepto de guerra entre vampiros y Lycans que a pesar de tener muchas debilidades, en el pasado es donde esta su mayor poder, cuando vemos a estos personajes interactuar y ver como nacen sus conflictos internos, es lo que mas disfruto porque veo nacer desde el amor el odio entre especies.

Continúa la reseña dando paso a la zona con spoilers para mencionar la trama que me agrado del film y en donde pienso se debió haber centrado.
Esta película tiene una estética masiva, su azul muy frío que encaja perfectamente con la protagonista Selene que se desarrolla mas en la noche con Luna LLena tiene su poder argumental es en ella, la trama del asesinato de su familia y como es manipulada para ser una cazadora de Lycans es lo que mas llega al espectador.
Cuando llega ese momento revelador donde el personaje llamado Viktor se revela como el asesino de su familia es el clímax de este film, por eso gusta enormemente y dio paso a toda una franquicia porque este elemento argumental si esta sólidamente bien construido y es creíble que su parecido con la hija de Viktor haga que este vampiro Líder la adopte, yo escucho esa parte de la trama y la acepto totalmente, no me hago preguntas y sigo disfrutando de la historia que me están contando, esto es lo que mas me gusto del film.
Ahora la parte híbrido me ha parecido un golpe en el estomago porque no le veo sentido y esto esta presente para poder sentar las bases de una franquicia, disfruto las películas pero mas sus tramas individuales que la trama en general que es la guerra y el como acabarla, Michael y Lucian son los personajes que sufren porque no me imponen nada, es la nueva etapa para una evolución y no me llaman la atención.
Lucian si tiene algo a rescatar que es su trama con Sonja hija de Viktor, todo este problema pasional y familiar es lo que si me cautiva, me deja en película y quiero saber todo ese pasado pero si me afecta en la experiencia el aspecto híbrido que me parece un total fallo, yo no veo un ser superior, estéticamente Michael en modo híbrido me desagrado, parece una involución.
Destaco las actuaciones de Selene y Viktor que con sus personajes hicieron maravillas y dieron vida a esta película, gracias a ellos es que esta franquicia siguió porque aun hoy recuerdo muy bien sus escenas y conflictos los cuales disfrute enormemente, sobre todo el estilo de Selene para batalla, caer y cortarle la cabeza a Viktor.
Dedicado todos y cada uno de mis post y videos a mi perrita llamada princesa que la llamábamos chiquito que ya no está con nosotros pero desde el cielo verá que su existencia SI fue valiosa y lo más hermoso que existirá en mi corazón y alma.
