There are movies you never get tired of watching, even if they repeat over and over again. It's those stories that draw you in with their plot, their characters. Anyway, today I wanted, as always, to travel through time, as a way to participate in @wiseagent's initiative, which you can check out.here.

🎬 Forrest Gump 🎬
Surely more than one person will remember this movie, Forrest Gump, which is without a doubt a classic, starring this great actor, Tom Hanks. In this film, we see the life of a man who, since childhood, suffers from a mental delay, but that won't be an obstacle to having a normal life. On the contrary, with his charm, charisma, and good heart, he will earn the affection, respect, and support of many people he meets along the way. As things happen in his life, he will meet a young girl, who will become his first and only love, Jenny.
This movie has its moments of comedy and drama, with a touch of depth, showing how a person like Forrest, despite his condition, manages to stand out with his innocence and optimism in the face of all the adversities he encounters.
A boy with an overprotective mother who only wanted the best for her son, a young girl who wanted to show him he could be normal and happy, a youthful love, an eternal friendship.

Unexpected friends, who taught him how to defend himself, how to be independent, it's a touching story, full of lessons, honest love, sincere friendships, without differences in social class, skin color, or way of being. Here we will see how to value the little things in life.
Without a doubt, it's a classic that's worth watching. I've lost count of how many times I've seen it, and it's because I think of my nephew, and all those children who have a condition that makes them special. We always try to treat them differently, but they are just like us, only more sensitive, more naive. Even so, we must love them, accept them, and learn from them.

Anyway, I'll leave you this movie, in case you haven't seen it, I hope you feel like watching it, or remember it again.

🎬 Forrest Gump 🎬

At the end everything tries to come together with a massive assault on the main power plant and the facility itself looks amazing, it almost felt like they were very very high into a fortress above the city from how everything looks. Clyne and Madison split off from the fight, infiltrating the underground laboratory. They discover that a former regime weapons facility at Masarov had been used to manufacture these phantoms through an industrial process, finding a chamber packed with glass cells connected to the entities, some very very crazy concepts that I had never heard about before. Deeper inside they find another room holding actual human remains hooked into the system that keeps the phantoms controlled and it turns out the scientists had scanned people at a molecular level and printed some kind of copies of them, using the real bodies as the basis of a weapon. Seeing those preserved remains and hearing Clyne conclude these ghosts are tied to real people caught somewhere between life and death who might still be in pain, is a fantastic and deeply dark twist. Clyne knows the only way they going to stop them is to shut down the system keeping the phantoms alive first, then goes back and disconnects the human remains from the machine by hand, finally letting them rest in peace, which gives the story a nice emotional touch and closure. Even with the flat character writing and the occasional goofy plot jump, the sole creativity of the action scenes, along with the gorgeous cinematography, keep you fully entertained the whole time from start to finish. The decision to use robot dogs, with searchlights strapped to their backs during the final charge, is just one example of the awesome futuristic details that make this world exciting and almost possible to exist. I get why there is not much noise or comments about this movie although at the same time is just perfect for a streaming movie, I give Spectra (2016) a solid 7.5/10, because it delivers exactly what it promises, proving that you do not need huge theatrical marketing campaigns to deliver a highly entertaining science fiction adventure.

This episode leaves a lot of big questions hanging, especially once Tanya arrives in Moscow using that forged day pass Irina gave her to escape. She walks into this massive apartment filled with elegant paintings, nothing like the usual crappy Soviet housing and finds a family photograph that changes everything because then she realize who she was dealing with, Irina came from a family, she might look like an ordinary secretary but she is not, Raskova already mention this before. Tanya found this photo with a young Irina standing right next to Leonid Brezhnev and she is so shocked she drops the frame and the glass shatters all over the floor, she got spooke because she doesnt know anymore who she is dealing with. This moment confirms that Irina has deep ties to the highest levels of the Soviet government, which makes her a way more dangerous player than Tanya thought. The bathysphere gets trucked to the launch site past a security guard casually picking up a dead rat by its tail, see what Im saying about lazy writing, a weird and gross touch in the tense checkpoint scene safes their ass once again. Anastasia finding a goodbye letter hidden in a jacket is a nice touch but probably too late, reading the words from Sasha about how giving up is easy but living is hard, as actually puts the seal on the fact he might not come back and she just realize it. We get a gorgeous final shot of the rocket launching into the dark night sky, sending Valya and the crew off on their impossible journey to Venus. I am giving this episode a solid 8/10, because despite a few convenient plot moments, the character work and the overall atmosphere are just absolute top tier mix of sadness and satisfaction, its always like the characters are drowning and every satisfactory moment the States pull them by their feet back under water.
