I have been waiting for season 3 to drop for a while, this is one of those shows that got me inlove with AppleTV content, season three of Silo threw me right back into that dark, underground world, but they mix things up right away, swapping the old opening biology symbols and fresh apples for heavy gears, a solar system model, and a rotten apple falling from the tree, setting a kind of very toxic mood for everything, its signaling that things are going to get very twisted. Then we get a flashback set centuries in the past in Washington during the Before Times, where Congressman Daniel Keene and his sister Charlotte who is a naval pilot are introduced right before a massive strike against Iran although its a secret mission that is not part of what the world is watching, its crazy and some may say a bold move to relate a show to recent real War events, or is it just coincidence?l. Watching Charlotte and her squadron climb to fifty thousand feet and fly into a strange cloud that knocks out their instruments while a black, oily substance eats away at the rest of their F-35 planes, breaking apart around her before her own goes down, a very creative scene although the CGI was not good in my opinion because you can tell how the plans and her face look fake, its probably because Im just too familiar with the tech but it does not look natural. Lucky her, Charlotte survive the crash and wake up with a traumatic brain injury that seem like got her memory wipe out, either entirely or partial because when her brother arrive to the hospital she didnt recognize or recal who is he, from the story line perspective I think is a smart choice, mirroring the present day, Charlotte pushing Daniel onto the Iran committee run by Senator Paula Thurman, later letting him know Charlotte has actually been sent on the Iran operation, its the entire thread of conspiration and secret mission package in one. I was worried the Before Times stuff would be a distraction, but getting in the mix the cloud and the conspiracy together grabs your attention and leaves you desperate to know how it connects to the toxic air outside of the Silo, there has to be connection.

Jumping to the present day inside Silo eighteen, the story gets depressing fast, because it has been three months since the rebellion and Juliette is now the mayor, but completely stripped of her memories, latter the show itself tells you it is intentional. The opening scene where the nurse casually hands her the suppression vitamins is sick as she is again been play out, the moment she look at the mirror is all very creepy giving you that feeling that someone is looking at you from the other side. Juliet is suppose to be this fierce woman who survived the outside now a confused puppet who accepts whatever she is told. Rebecca Ferguson is doing something great here, this washed out version of Juliette who barely reacts to anything and the construction site scene got me good, she just asks if that is where her dad died like she is asking about the weather, no feeling in it at all. Hank sits her down and tries to walk her through the real story of what happened with her father, that he did not throw his life away for the rebellion like she thinks or been told and she just looks through him and cuts him off asking who he even is, I was like are we seriously playing this game? because it resets everything, the only satisfaction will come when her memory kicks in plus the juicy context we might get from the flashbacks from Charlotte and her brother Daniel. Shirley is pissed and hurt that her friend does not even know her anymore after everything they went through together and seeing that gap between the woman who marched over the hill and this hollowed person that is Juliet now, that no body recognize anymore, it even looks like the entire Silo is full of people who forgot who she really was and not saying anything about it. Part of me kept waiting for something to snap her out of it, but I know they wont make it that easy for use, the vitamins are doing their job, she stays foggy and easy to control the whole time. It is rough to watch but you have to give the show credit for sticking with this amnesia plot instead of rushing her back to normal to shake things up more than it was before she left and the whole Silo feels like it is one spark away from exploding again, with everyone bowing down to a hero who could not even tell you her own name.

The real puppet masters behind all of this misery are Camille and Robert Sims, funny enough how Camille went up through the ranks and the shift in their power dynamic is easily the most fascinating part of the season, not rooting for them but got to respect the craft. Camille now wears a maroon robe of authority and the scene where she enters the secret vault to speak with the artificial voice is tense since she is completely alone with it. Robert is clearly frustrated about being kept out of that kind of access but he is still doing plenty of dirty work behind the scenes and there is sick flashback finally shows what really happened in the airlock chamber. Sims told Juliette that Bernard died from poison that got into his suit once the fire burn it and make some holes in it, but the flashback shows he actually survived and it was Robert who wrap a plastic bag around his face and smother him to death, shifting all the blame for the Silo problems onto a dead man who can say or defend himself. Camille is also feeding Juliette fake computer images of a refuge hut, telling her she stayed there until she was strong enough to return, like she spending days on that other Silo never happen, exactly where she got the fire proof suit and it makes you sick just watching them construct that lie to keep the peace. The algorithm even orders Camille to double the dosage of the memory vitamins because Juliette is starting to have small flashes of the truth, proving whoever or whatever, is running the show is terrified of what happens if the residents learn it. I got this though about who the writers are setting up Camille as the ultimate villain, taking orders from a glowing screen while keeping up this illusion of a fair government, with a new mayor that is really just a farce to distract the population, this is exactly the kind of manipulation that makes this universe so engaging.

The illusion of peace in the Silo keeps getting threatened by smaller factions fighting for control, also there is this new rebel group called the Outsiders, that at first I thought where people actually from outside the Silo but its just a name. This group of masked rebels breaks into the IT department to steal a cleaning helmet and drops a massive banner telling everyone the display is a lie, injecting some much needed chaos into the environment and its there were Juliet memories start to kick in and doubt what is real. Security footage shows a raider possibly breaking the wrist of one of the female rebels with a baton and security starts searching for a woman with a bandaged right arm, this create this very real risk for anyone who just casually met this description to get arrested and I bet the first person they get is the wrong one. It is crazy to watch how Sheriff Paul Billings is also acting so docile while he sits around rewriting amendments to the pact, like why the all participating of this or is it that Camille somehow got everyone on her pocket, like a man who has completely lost his soul, makes me think if they got some leverage on him. On top of the rebel action there is a bitter feud brewing between Ed Harwood, who runs the mines and Orla, the new supply shadow, and their arguments add some spice to what seem to be a very stable Silo for now. Harwood points out the tunnels prove the Silo has been there for at least three hundred years, which makes you rethink the timeline of the disaster, while Orla notices items like computers and bulbs going missing from critical supply and arranges for two heavy barrels of vitamins to be sent to water filtration, a move that needs sleds and can only happen at night, not sure where is this going but I bet its going to be important. I like how the episode keeps cutting between these small department squabbles and the bigger mystery of the memory drugs, it is a good reminder that life just keeps grinding on down there even with a massive conspiracy sitting right above their heads, and it gave me that same tense feeling those early season one episodes had.

Then right at the end everything shifts when Juliette gets a secret message that finally breaks her out of just going on auto pilot. She is sitting alone in her apartment trying to force down a bowl of salmon chowder, she gags on it and dumps the whole thing in the sink, then finds a note hidden inside the bowl, it was this ridiculous huge metal container like a pill with the note inside, so how did nobody saw it?. The note tells her to flip the bowl over and meet at the marketplace at two oclock, then burn the paper right after reading it and you can actually see her come alive a little when she watches it burn, she wants to remember at least thats certain but what will she do when she face the reality thats the question, the obvious thing is that she will remain on her old version stand against the "Founders" but there is going to be some conflict there, doubt its going to be that easy though. I am really hoping this message came from Lukas or someone connected to the Outsiders because Juliette needs an ally to break through the fog of those double dosed vitamins. This first episode was very very slow, it was not bad but IF you havent seen the series its going to feel very meh so for me it gets a solid 7.5/10, because it manages to balance the intense historical flashbacks of the plane crash with the slow psychological horror of losing your own identity in the present, by present I mean Juliet but also in the past with Charlotte. Even though the pacing feels a bit slow while they set up the new department heads and political structures, the payoff of that secret message makes you want to watch the next episode. I love how they are expanding the universe beyond the concrete walls with political secrecy in Washington that is a step into the direction at the origins of the Silo world, even though the show still has not confirmed what caused the toxic wasteland outside. The mystery of that strange cloud is going to keep thinking about it until the next episode and I just pray Juliette gets her mind back before Camille and the algorithm manage to bury the truth for another three hundred years.

Hello everyone, recently I have been watching movies a lot and yesterday I have discovered a movie which is Return to Silent Hill (2026), it was released long ago but I have found it late. As I was searching for a horror movie then luckily I have found this movie. Well, if you don't know what this movie is based on then let me explain. Actually, it is a movie that brings the famous Silent Hill 2 game to the big screen. Never imagined there would be a movie on this. Of course there were many more movies of Silent Hill before this but it is the first one I'm watching for the first time. The movie begins with our main lead James Sunderland who receives a letter from the love of his life Mary. In the letter she asked him to return to the Silent Hill which used to be their home once. James hopes increased to find answers, and he dared to enter the foggy town, where every building, street and monster seems connected to his painful past.

I love the atmosphere of the movie. The game Silent Hill 2 has dark theme, thick fog, unsettling feelings and creepy creatures which always created a constant feeling of fear and in the movie they have used the same elements. It also has good music and sound track, it helped to add an emotion to many scenes which made the town feel even more mysterious. Visually film makers did a great job of bringing the world of Silent Hill to life, it was not the best but still it was similar to the game.

Jeremy Irvine if he had blonde hair then it would feel much better. Anyway, his acting performance was really amazing and delivered a solid performance as James. He successfully portrayed the character's actual fear and emotional pain in a believable way. Not for a moment I have felt that he was over doing it. To be honest, I have seen him as an actor for the first time and it was overall too good. As James moves into Silent Hill you can feel the weight of his emotions and how deep it is. The supporting cast were good but they didn't get enough screen time as I expected.

I can not blame them actually the movie was too fast paced, it can be hard to connect with some of them on an emotional level like we did as in the game. If you've played the original Silent Hill 2 game, then you will notice that the story successfully represents the game scenes and close to the main. I personally have not played the game but I have watched many live streams. There I have noticed the locations and how they monsters look. In the movie you will find the famous locations and the monsters they look exactly the same, also key moments are recreated with care. I feel Silent Hill fans will enjoy this movie.

However, this is where the movie has some flaws. The game is loved because of its deep emotional story and psychological themes. Everything in the game has connection to the main character, the strange events, monsters has a meaning that reflects James's mind and feelings. The movie shows these moments but doesn't explore them properly. As a result, some of the emotional impact feels empty.

I didn't like it how rushed it was. The movie seems more focused on showing familiar scenes from the game than fully explaining the story. As a fan of Silent Hill I would understand what's happening in the movie but newcomers may find parts of the plot confusing and not completely get the story.

Even with these flaws, Return to Silent Hill is still an enjoyable because fans would like anything related to the Silent Hill game. At least it pays respects the original game and captures its dark atmosphere better than many other video game adaptations. One thing was lacking and that is the emotional depth from Silent Hill 2, it had offered enough creepy moments and beautiful visuals to keep fans interested.

Overall, I have liked the movie but not that much. Even though I am a big fan of it but I can not ignore how empty it felt. I wanted to see more of the story. Return to Silent Hill (2026) is a good movie for the longtime followers of the game. As we all know that Silent Hill 2 game has the story which is still considered one of the greatest psychological horror story ever made but the movie can not compete to it. So, if you like mysterious and visually impressive horror film, then you should obviously watch this movie. If you have high expectations with storytelling then it's better to not watch it. I have shared my honest review, I hope you guys will like it.

I have been griding some series that I had in backlog, today I just realize that thursday nights now are packed because Silo just dropped plus Star City, Cape Fear and Sugar, so much content dont have enough time to post about all of it so Im been picky. Star City confirm as a For All Man Kind spin off has been on another level, its almost like they learn from the first series and episode four opens on a new scene set in intelligence reports from 1963 through 1965, an American spy with a British accent tracking Tanya because she is tied to a dissident group called Zeta smuggling banned Western music out of the country inside instrument cases. Turns out the Americans used Tanya and her music smuggling to get to Valya, it was basically by accident and turn him into an asset, which changes how I look at his betrayal, well just a bit. The best part is when the spy finally approaches Valya at a bus stop to recruit him, but the camera stays behind the bus and the engine noise silence their whole conversation. You do not hear the threats she makes but you feel the weight of it, Valya realizing he is trapped and has to protect his wife. Episode four leans way more into the espionage side of the story than the space stuff since Valya is not just a traitor here, he is a desperate man caught in a terrible position. The season is only halfway through so I need to pick up the pace, they already like two or three episodes ahead me.

The detective stuff this episode is fantastic, Colonel Raskova pulls Irina off surveillance duty and puts her in charge of tracking down that modified transmitter they found on the sip but its not the entire thing that matters but a small spring and suddenly she is out in the field carrying a gun for the first time, seems like they all train to carry a gun though. Irina goes down to the manufacturing plant and talks to the boss, and it turns out the strange coil inside the transmitter is made of a metal the Soviet Union does not even have, this confirms the device is not from them. There is this scene where they kept the invoices records, we talking the 60s so its all on paper, and somebody sets the files on fire and takes a shot at Irina that blows out a window right next to her face and instead of running after whoever did it she stops to put the fire out, but seems it was too late as there some papers more than half way burn. The real highlight comes later when Irina picks up her daughter from Tanya, asks to use the toilet and starts poking around the bathroom cabinet just as she did previous episode. She finds a perfume bottle from France, notices the spray mechanism is missing its spring and realizes the transmitter piece fits right inside it, it all clicks in and makes perfect sensce, that lead points straight back at Valya. You can watch her put it together and just like that Valya goes from grieving husband to traitor. It is such a satisfying way to discover who is working for the Americans and now Irina holds information that could destroy an entire family and she has to weigh her own ambition against her conscience.

While the spy stuff is fantastic, the story loose a bit of ground and felt a bit off when we shift to the new Indian scientist Lakshmi Chadha arriving at the facility, because her whole introduction feels way too convenient and also little context about her or why is she so important but they do provide such missing context latter on. She gets stuck with a bad workspace, missing equipment and coworkers who barely look at her, and then her husband Manu complains about flies buzzing around their apartment and a he is also very paranoic about they been monitor or even listen, without knowing they been recorded all the time. Later that night at work she hears loud clanking, wanders down into a secret basement, and finds the Chief Designer working on a Venus mission that is supposed to be completely classified. He tells her she is going to Venus with Sasha and Pavel on a nine month mission that leaves in exactly three days and it feel like this news had to be bigger than what they make it look like, but the cast still sold it. For a show that leans this hard on secrecy and surveillance, having a brand new scientist wander into the most classified project on the base makes zero sense. The Chief Designer basically force her to take the mission because there is no time to train a cosmonauts on a reciclying oxigent system that is the key for the mission and she is the one that invent it, even as cool as it might sound having the expert on boadrd but three days is absurd for pilots who usually train for years. Even Sasha seems hesitant to join, still dealing with his own trauma, which makes the rushed timeline feel even more reckless. The show is usually smart about its details, so watching them rush the Venus project this hard just feels like a shortcut.

Watching Anastasia deal with the public relations tour reminds me of how other space shows build their world, once the government gets what it needs out of you, your life belongs to the state and that is a statement this series has made form the very first episode everything belogns to the state and nothing is above. Anastasia has become this full blow puppet and she is signing autographs at a girls school one minute and getting drunk by a lake with the physics faculty the next, watching them shoot off model rockets in their underwear, everybody just trying to feel normal for a little while since she just cant handle her fake life anymore and is about to tip over. The whole oppressive Soviet era vibe reminds me a lot of Chernobyl the HBO tv series and that is one of the best series of all times despite how short it is, everything you say gets monitored and every achievement gets twisted into propaganda. On Star City they make this very clear to their face but always with some kind of excuse that some characters decide to buy and others are just full of all the bs. After what she did on her mission she overheard that they are never letting her fly again because she is worth more to them as a symbol turns her into a trophy rather than a tool. You can see the depression setting in when Sasha finally shows up at the lake to drag her home, their roles completely reversed, him acting serious while she is a drunk mess. They end up arguing in their apartment before the anger turns into sex, such a fascination combination that most of the time only happens in the movies to be honest and its always hilarious, but is a perfect example of just how trapped they both are in this system that they are taking any kind of easy escape from their reality. The paranoia here works a lot like For All Mankind, except this is steeped in secret police and labor camps. Even Raskova is not safe, getting called into an intimidating meeting in Moscow where her superiors subtly threaten her and demand reports so she can be replace but some how she still manage to stay relevant, she been doing this for a long time so she knows how to survive.

At the end I got this sense of disapointment because of the rushed Venus mission timeline but the spy takes over finally introducing the one that poison Valya into walking the left hand path. Watching Sasha at the memorial service, barely holding it together while the widow reads a heavily redacted letter from his dead crewmate does paint the picture about the guilt he is carrying, after all the mission is everything they got, they got no personal life, no public achievements, the states has taken everything from them even the glory so its all personal satisfaction when they make it but this time things went wrong and one of the eagles has fallwn. The state redacting a dead mans final letter to his own widow is just cruel but makes perfect sense how harsh this world is as they manipulate all the information. Raskova also tightens her grip by interrogating the engineers, leading to Sergei getting arrested after a some forbiddent text, I'm not so clear on this one but I guess its just some books that turns up during a search of his place, like she needed to make an example with Moscow breathing down her neck and planted evidence. Half the engineers admit to reading that book but Sergei is the only one who refuses to name names and ends up thrown in a cell and hosed down, showing how arbitrary the justice system is when she ask Sergei "yeah can you name those" refering to his coworkers who have read the same book, makes you think like if he does he rat them out and can be taken in with him but if he stays shut then he keeps them safe so he is the only one who sink, crazy stuff. Now that Irina has a solid lead almost evidence, connecting Valya to that transmitter spring, things are about to explode, forcing an impossible choice between her career and her friends, not really friends but aflter all Tanya is her daughters piano teacher and invite them home for private leasons after all. Despite my complaints about the Venus project, there is preasure at every level including Raskova so its not only those below her anymore. I am giving this episode a solid 8 out of 10, watching all these secrets unfold is a damn good content and the performances across the board are so so good.

I finally watched Obsession and Bear frustrated me right away but I though his character was going to be a sick one, drown in pills and having visions like too high he was out of reality, but from the first shots you hear him saying all these sweet things, then the camera pulls back and turns out he is just practicing his confession on some random waitress, not even talking to Nikki yet, like this shit cant be real but I guess people do that. He is so wrapped up in her that all he does is cry over his dead cat and scroll through her photos online, and it sets him up as pathetic right from the start. Later on she loses her crystal necklace and calls him up about trivia night at Barkers pub, so he goes running to a crystal shop trying to find a replacement, so the movie starts to put you on this emotional mood and honestly thats great because thats what a movie suppose to do, no matter if its love or hate but damn this one is depresing. While he is in there he finds this vintage novelty thing called the One Wish Willow and the cashier flat out tells him people usually regret whatever they wish for, I NEVER THOUGH that was going to be the apex that once you take that curve it was a no return point. He buys the thing anyway, snaps it in half sitting in his car and wishes for Nikki to love him more than anyone else on earth. He looks over and sees Nikki on her porch with a dead look, begging him to take her home because her dad is supposedly dying. The switch from Bear insisting they are just friends and her friends saying she only saw him like a little brother, to her forcing herself into his car is unsettling, you realize there is something weird and wrong going on. I was locked on how uncomfortable it felt from the start, this is not a love story at all, it is just a guy taking away a choice from a woman who never actually chose him back, or well until that point.

Inde Navarrette as Nikki is terrifying, she is so damn good and hot too that I can not understand how after the making of the movie she had to do streaming to small jobs here and there to put food on the table, at least thats what the internet says so it must be true, cant lie on the internet. She does a great job at balancing robotic obedience with tiny flashes of the real person trapped inside, the Not Me!! note. One disturbing moment is Bear finding she dug his dead cat out of the garbage and set up a candlelit memorial for it. Most normal people would see a dead pet shrine and run, but Bear accepts it because she puts on a red dress and acts like the perfect girlfriend at work. They kiss in the office and make breakfast together, while their friends Ian and Sarah watch confused, knowing Nikki only saw him as a little brother. Then it gets even worse one night when Bear wakes up and she is just standing still in a dark corner of the bedroom watching him "sleep", this scene was money because she was so well damn hidden within the shadow. She starts wailing like a baby, crying about how he does not love her as much as she loves him and her whole body is moving in this janky, wrong way. I felt so bad for her watching this, you can tell she has zero control over her body and someone trying to reach and tell this is not her, she is basically trapped inside herself and stupid Bear doesn't seem to get it or does he?. The camera keeps landing on her creepy smiles and reverse walking, uncomfortable to watch. Navarrette straight up nails it, every interaction feels like watching a car crash happen in slow motion and you cannot look away, I have read comments about how Bear is so starved for affection he ignores every red flag waving in his face, but the movie does this great job at still make you wonder if he is doing it on purpose or is he just afraid of her or loosing her, its damn confusing thats what makes it so dman good, but towards the end he makes the right desicion to end it all so is he the villian on this story?.

Basically this movie takes the old monkey paw idea and twists it into this messed up fairy tale about toxic dating culture and obsession. Things kick in high gear during the party game where everyone is pulling these giant wooden blocks with dares written on them and Nikki starts telling a warped version of Hansel and Gretel. She uses creepy character voices to describe the brother and sister getting married, a nod to seeing Bear as a sibling before the magic forced her into a romantic role. In the middle of it Nikki drops a chilling line, calling their romance a love that only the branch of a willow tree could conjure and it just confirm what the rest of the movie has been telling already to how this whole nightmare started. Bear pulls a block that says kiss the person on your left, Sarah happens to be sitting right there, and Nikki gets up and physically drags Sarah backward so she can take her spot, Nikki has turn into an eternal meme with so many faces. Right after that she has a full on mental break down, she grabs a glass bottle and smashes it into her own face while screaming, it made me think of that kind of psychological torture where you are somewhere trapped and just watching through a tv or window, stuck in the passenger seat of their own body while somebody else drives. These party scenes show how the magic does not just mess with the couple, it spreads out and infects everyone around them.

What bothered me most was how long the movie drags out Bear denying his fault while the consequences scream in his face so this is where its a bit confusing if he really knows what is going on or just doesnt want to let his dream come true end. In one scene he opens his sandwich container to find polaroid pictures inside, one of him saying you, one of her saying not me, that was the first clear clue and I was like wtf. He takes a bite anyway, flips a sticky note and realizes she cooked his dead cat and fed it to him, that right there is HUGE red flag he never mention or say anything about, second wtf moment. Its like he refuses to end the nightmare, calling the customer service number on the willow box to fix things was the moment where he start to look for options to end this. The call was frustrating too becuse he gets a bored guy and asks if he can alter the wish so she loves him normally, ignoring that she is losing her mind. The voice tells him wishes cannot be altered or canceled unless he dies, asks if he wants to talk to her and the real Nikki starts screaming, that right there could have been the perfect moment to let real Nikki cry and beg or even tell Bear how much she hates him because she is watching everything going on, it just gives me shills of just saying it putting that conversation in my head. That scream got under my skin and it pissed me off that Bear just hangs up the phone and goes right back to acting like the victim, as when he gets back to the house she is standing in the exact same spot he left her in, covered in urine and vomit because she physically could not move without him there, its a reference to a pet that can not take care of herself unless he is there, like there is no reason for it. The writing makes him so hard to be on Bear side ever since the movie starts as he is so pathetic and there is a point when it gets exhausting watching him hunt for loopholes instead of just owning what he did to her. It works as horror for sure, but watching a coward refuse to do the right thing for that long tested my patience and on top of that it really felt rushed even when it was not because he does try alternatives but there was only one way out.

Overall Obsession does a great job making you fear the consequences of forced affection, even with its frustrating main character. Bear trying to leave and seeing the front door covered in rolls of silver duct tape was hilarious and terrifying when Nikki was like "I hope I can come with you...." and he was like nah its fine I got this, openning the door. It shows how suffocating the situation gets and the panic on his face realizing he cannot leave the house without her having a total meltdown. He goes back to the crystal shop and buys more One Wish Willows, hoping to force his buddy Ian into a counter wish to fix everything but he was too pissed off at him because of what went down during the party. Ian laughs in his face and wishes for a billion dollars instead, causing literal cash to rain down from the ceiling in a hilarious and depressing scene where they both lost it, Ian couldnt believe it and Bear realize how fucked up he is now. This leaves Bear with no option but to go home, find the sleeping pills his late grandmother left behind and realize the only way to break the magic is removing himself entirely, at least he did the right thing to do but the remaining question is why? is it because he couldnt take it anymore because he could have found ways to role with Nikki, turn her into his slave or is it because he was too pathetic to take the master role? there are so many posibilities that makes this movie so damn good. The movies takes a fear a lot of people actually have, ruining a friendship and pushes it all the way to the extreme, making you sit there and watch a man slowly destroy the person he says he cares about. I am giving this one a solid valyrian steel 8 out of 10, because of how incredible the acting all around from the main to the support actors and how the disturbing atmosphere just never lets go, the movie is depresing from start to finish. Proves you do not need some massive budget to make people feel completely disgusted and terrified.

The reason I watched this short series is because Netflix offered it. I read the short description and said "Let's give it a try."

On a solo trip to the Poconos, writer and pundit Muncie Daniels meets a mysterious new neighbor - then finds him dead under shocking circumstances.

This time I trusted Netflix so much, I didn't even check the cast. In this regard I'm really flexible, I am not gunning for known and hyped actors, but rather give a chance to any actor as that's the only way to meet new talents. So I said I'll let myself be surprised if I discover known (to me) actors in the series. I didn't, but that's fine.

From the storyline you can see it offers you a good crime, drama, mystery, thriller, whatever you want to call it and I have to say, this series had the chance and the opportunity to be a great one, but it isn't, unfortunately.

The story is presented to us in one season, which is made of eight episodes (thank God!). The whole action could have been wrapped in for episodes, but for some reason I don't understand, the writers decided to drag it on through eight. It was a huge mistake and I bet they have lost half of the viewers halfway already. I was about to quit myself a few times, but then I said let's see the end as well and resisted heroically.

Making the series way too long was not the only mistake, so let's get on with it and see what I think about it.

Right at the beginning you get the shocking event, when Muncie Daniels, finds his neighbor's body by accident. Needless to say, his life will never be the same and that's where his problems started. What came after was a race, to find the truth and get his life back.

Muncie Daniels played by Colman Domingo, an actor I don't think I've ever seen playing and I like to keep it that way. Casting him in this role was a huge mistake and was painful to watch his acting. When you're playing in a thriller and you're the one chased and framed for things you haven't done, you get into all kinds of situations, so this role requires a set of acting skills Colman Domingo unfortunately doesn't have. It was a struggle watching the only stupid face he could make, which was looking stupid with his mouth open most of the times. I'm relying on my brain's delete or forget function to erase his image from my head. No offense Mr. Colman, I have nothing against you, but you should have chosen a different career and leave this to those who have the skills. At your age, you should already posses these skills. If not, then just walk away please.

The characters are weak, badly built up and most of them are just there to get their salaries as they don't add value to the series. However, there are two that I need to mention on the positive side. One, that was the best in my eyes is Gabrielle Graham playing Kallie, the daughter of Muncie Daniels. If there's something good about this series, it's her and her acting. The other was Tamsin Topolski playing Lucie Simon, but she had less screen time.

There were so many illogical situations and decisions made by the characters that can't even count them on my two hands. Now obviously it's easy to sit on the couch and judge it, but this was not real life, the script was written by someone so they should have thought about these.

To mention something positive as well, you get to see some nice landscapes too, if you can split your focus between the action, the bad acting, the stupid decisions and the view.

I see it has a 6.4 rating on IMDB, out of 10, which is pretty high for what it delivers. My rating is 4/10, or 40/100 as i can't give more on it.

Would I recommend it? Hell no!
