Hello everyone! This is my first ever review to be published on this cool community! I want to share my thoughts about the latest movie of the Insidious franchise, Insidious: Out of the Further produced by Blumhouse Productions.
To start, me and my siblings watched the movie on its showing at the Robinsons Movieworld. We love horror movies and watching it in dark place, cool environment with the big screen? It's a dream and a need to get the best watching experience!
So what's the movie about? The movie started with an unnerving chilling intro before the title Insidious comes out. I won't spoil but I can describe, it's short scene where a girl named Gemma sees her mother in a terrifying light. Mothers should be warm and all but this? The girl Gemma felt chill while facing a crazed mother. What happened next is crazy. It's literally that kind of trauma that a small girl shouldn't ever see. I won't spill anything because I want you to watch it lol.
My favorite part is meeting Elise again! Yes, Elise, the one who helped the Warrens in the previous movies. She comes to people who needs her help when the Further is involved. Her character was important in helping the present mother who is Gemma navigate the further as a new one. Especially the scene where she helped Gemma by getting her daughter escape.
Now, let's talk about the main reason why the further is involved with Gemma, it is because her mother was someone who had the ability to take things out of the further! That's the title! The title already spilled what the story is about. Gemma can travel to the further and she can take things out such as... demons with her to the real world. It was the reason why she was targeted by a specific demon because he wanted to exploit it.
And the jumpsscares? When we were at the cinemas, you can definitely hear the people scream especially at the couch scene. The jumpscares were worth it!
The ending was superb. What happened was mindblowing. I did mention what Gemma could do that she can travel the further and take things out of the further with her? Oh yeah, she did that ability in a very...large scale! Like WOW! I won't spoil!
And the actors nailed it! Especially our main character Gemma, she portrayed a disturbed woman, that pale skin, hollowed eyes that can make anyone uncomfortable. Like her crazed mother who d!ed before. Elise? Still amazing even as a spirit lol. The daughter of Gemma? She portrayed a scared girl who loved her mother despite the fear she felt on the situation. And the demons did a great job because they gave us a scare!

The overall movie made me think of the previous ones. The first one was a classic, I watched it as a kid years ago, I remember getting scared so much to get up to use the bathroom. The first movie traumatized so many kids lol. The second one? The movie tiptoe thru the tulips got imprinted on our brains in a scary way especially the Black Bride! The third movie, it's scary too. The fourth movie about Elise's backstory? It's sad and scary about what she had to experience. The fifth movie was overall creepy! I can't forget the scene where the demon was already in Dalton's body and then smiling in the dark with red eyes.
And this last movie? This was made not leaving a crumb. The overall plot just gives us a wide discovery about the further and the people who has the ability to travel it. I hope blumbhouse will give us more Insidious movie so we could explore the Insidious world more.
We had a wonderful experience watching it at the cinemas. Oh and one more thing? There's actually a post-credit scene! We didn't expect it too. So watch Insidious: Out of the Further!
