My Opinion / Mi Opinión Opinión

This is one of my favorite anime movies. I watched it on the recommendation of one of my best friends, and I really enjoyed it. I think the story is very charming and quite original. I also think the characters develop very well as the movie progresses, and I liked that they featured voice actors like Ryūnosuke Kamiki and Aoi Yūki, who have worked on several movies and series that I like.

The animation style seems quite good to me, it uses a color palette that works perfectly and the design of the landscapes and locations is also very good. I really liked how the story develops, it kept me in suspense the whole time and I liked many scenes, but I would say that my favorite (and the one that made me sob) is when they meet at "the magic hour" despite their times being 3 years apart, I found everything that Taki was able to do to prevent Mitsuha from dying in the accident very moving, and Mitsuha's bravery to save the people of her town. I also found the ending very nice. I was glad to know that both Mitsuha and her family and friends were able to save themselves, and also the meeting between Taki and Mitsuha some time later.

I also found the film's soundtrack to be very beautiful. Composed by Yojiro Noda, I feel it suited the film very well and gave it an incredible touch. It's worth noting that this film is based on a novel written by Makoto Shinkai (who also wrote and directed the film), and I really want to read the novel because I found the film truly incredible. I highly recommend it.

  2. Kimi no Na wa: A Tale of Connection and Destiny@zoe01386d

    Your Name

    credits

Hello anime lovers, I'm back with another anime: Your Name. If there's a beginner, I would ask them to start with this anime because it's phenomenal. I feel this anime movie is a perfect choice for new anime watchers. In fact, I have suggested this anime to many of my friends who don't watch anime, but they still loved it very much. Also, they started to watch anime often; this anime has influenced them to start watching more anime. I will leave a review about it, and let's have a discussion about why you should watch this anime as a beginner.

The music that is playing in the background is just amazing; it makes the viewers want to watch this anime more. It's shown that the main protagonists are two people: one boy and one girl. They talk about switching their places, which means they switch souls into different bodies. This kind of story is very appreciated. They don't seem to know each other, but they switch their bodies, and that's the interesting part—to find out how it happened and why. If you watch the trailer once, you would like it very much but it does not serve the half of the anime version which you will realize later that how emotionally wrecked they can make you feel.

    credits

The story begins with Mitsuha; she is the daughter of the mayor of a small mountain town. She's a high school student and lives with her sister and her grandmother. She has no interest in her father's electoral campaign; instead, she desires to leave the town because she finds it boring and wants to try her luck in Tokyo.

    credits

On the other hand, there's Taki; he is also a high school student in Tokyo. Besides studying, he works part-time in an Italian restaurant. He wants to become an architect or an artist. Every night, a strange thing happens: he dreams of waking up in a high school girl's body who lives in a small mountain town, and that is none other than Mitsuha.

    credits

When you want to watch this movie, you're about to embark on an emotional rollercoaster that you won't be ready to handle. To be honest, I was never mentally prepared for this movie. This masterpiece was released in 2016, and now it's 2025, but this anime is still holding that higher place. Well, even with real actors, you can't get this quality of acting. The movie might not have much to offer, but the animations were great, and one thing I would say is that you can't review emotions; you can only feel them.

    credits

This movie will break anyone down in tears. I am never going to forget the emotions I went through while watching this anime. I don't need my memories to be erased to watch this movie again because I will never be bored of it. The plot, the storyline—everything was simple yet gorgeous. Why would anyone not like this anime? I feel that those who are watching anime for the first time would love this at first glance.

    credits

I am somehow emotionally attached to this movie; hats off to the team who made this phenomenal anime. This type of anime will make you believe in fate and to cherish every connection. The powerful visuals and plot wrap everything around beautifully. Makoto Shinkai is one of my favorite directors and novelists; his works are fine as Oscar-level winnings. The storyline keeps you going because you want to know what happens until the end. It keeps you wondering about what's going to happen next. I feel that no artwork has emerged to suppress this masterpiece.

I would definitely recommend everyone to watch this movie. Let me know in the comment section if you liked this anime movie or not.

    Thanks for reading 🌷

  3. Your Name Movie Review [Eng/Esp]@seki1397d

Never thought I'd saw an anime that'll move me as much as Suzume did. Well I guess when the opening songs are sung by the same band and are both beautiful pieces of art. One can expect the same amount of beauty from both. Rather, I'd say that "Your Name" is even more of a beauty.

    Your Name

*** ### Plot > Two teenagers Taki and Mitsuha share a profound connection after one summer morning, they realize that they are switching bodies. Living each other's lives for a day or more at a time, they upend and fix it up. It was fun at first, yet things get complicated when they decide to meet up. *** I'll be honest. Mentally, I wasn't prepared for this movie. I thought the trailer would prepare me. I thought the reels, I thought the songs, I thought how bad could it be. Well it was bad. A much harder tug on your heart strings that you can imagine. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/70A9VUxk4MoAAAAC/your-name.gif) This movie did everything right, every single thing. Nice music to entertain the viewers, lovely scenery, artwork and animation to catch their attention, great characters and voice acting to help the viewers interact with the story, and a story... A good story that the viewers would never forget. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/loOTyf2bROAAAAAC/your-name-kimi-no-na-wa.gif) This story is a love story. Yet it's not your typical love story - no anime love story really is. Yet the distinguishing factor about this love story, is that behind all its fantasy and fancies, in the barest conclusion, it is real. The idea and fear of suddenly waking up from your dream and forgetting everything all about it. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/3PckFas80HkAAAAC/kimi-no-na-wa-2nd.gif) Waking up from that life and forgetting if it even ever existed, something that was a genuine part of you a few moments ago is suddenly not. It somehow makes you understand Taki's willingness to fight for it, his stubbornness to allow it to just be forgotten. For he wants to remember, wants to know about it, and there's no better way to remember anyone than remembering his/her name. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/ppEGP5LQQ-AAAAAC/kimi-no-na-wa-anime.gif) This is a lovely movie, a wonderful story and one I entirely recommend. Simply beautiful in its complexity, I urge you to watch this 10 out of 10 movie.

    ESPANOL

    Your Name

  4. Anime Review ~ Your Name: A Personal Reflection@seunruth399d

    Directed by Makoto Shinkai

I didn’t know what I was looking for the night I stumbled across Your Name. I was just scrolling, honestly tired, emotionally drained, craving something that would mesmerize me. Something beautiful. I saw the cover: a boy and a girl reaching toward the sky, the faint glow of twilight between them. I was curious.

I didn’t know then that this movie would leave me breathless.

At first, it seems simple. A teenage boy in Tokyo, Taki, and a girl in a rural mountain town, Mitsuha, start mysteriously swapping bodies. It happens randomly. No explanation. One minute they’re living their own lives, and the next, they wake up as each other. Cue chaos. The movie depicts the story of high school students Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu, who suddenly begin to swap bodies despite having never met, unleashing chaos on each other's lives. I learnt that film was inspired by the frequency of natural disasters in Japan.

I laughed. A lot. Watching Mitsuha navigate the noise of Tokyo with wide-eyed wonder, while Taki tries to act normal in a traditional village where everyone knows everyone? It’s hilarious. They bicker, leave notes on each other’s phones, and begin to set rules. But then — something happens.

    They start to care.

What begins as confusion turns into connection. Through each other’s eyes, they begin to understand the world differently. Taki becomes gentler. Mitsuha becomes bolder. And I found myself thinking, Isn’t that what love really is? Seeing the world through someone else’s soul?

But just when you think it’s a body-swap romantic comedy… Your Name shatters your heart.

Suddenly, the swaps stop. Mitsuha disappears. And Taki, desperate and confused, sets out to find her. What follows is a twist I won’t spoil, but let me tell you this: it’s one of the most breathtaking narrative turns I’ve ever experienced. I literally sat up on my bed, my heart racing, thinking, Wait. What just happened?!

Makoto Shinkai doesn’t just play with time. He plays with memory, destiny, and that haunting feeling we all know too well — that you’ve lost something, or someone, but you can’t quite remember who. It’s like a dream slipping away right as you wake up. And the movie captures that ache perfectly.

Visually? I was mesmerized. Every single frame is a painting. From the way the sunlight hits a train window, to the rich orange glow of twilight (or kataware-doki, that beautiful moment between day and night), everything feels alive. The attention to detail in this film is staggering. It makes you want to pause every ten seconds just to soak it in.

And the soundtrack by RADWIMPS? Oh. My. God. The music doesn’t just accompany the scenes, it wraps around your heart and squeezes. It tells a story on its own. I still listen to it when I want to feel everything all at once.

But what truly stayed with me wasn’t the fantasy or the visuals. It was this quiet, lingering question: What if the person you’re meant to love… is someone you haven’t even met yet?

There’s this line near the end where one of them says, “I’m always searching for something, someone…” And I swear, I felt that in my bones. Because haven’t we all had that feeling? That pull? That sense that somewhere out there, someone is meant to be part of your story?

Your Name isn’t just a love story. It’s a cosmic longing. It’s about connection, fragile, fleeting, but powerful enough to transcend time and space. It’s about remembering someone you’ve never met and waiting for someone you can’t name.

When the movie ended, I just sat there — silent. The credits rolled, and tears filled my eyes, not because it was sad, but because it was so beautifully human. It reminded me that love isn’t just about presence. Sometimes, it’s about persistence. About trusting that when the time is right, paths will cross.

So if you’re looking for something that will make your heart swell, your breath hitch, and your soul feel seen — watch Your Name. Let it sweep you away. Let it whisper to that quiet part of you that still believes in fate, in magic, in threads that tie us to people we haven’t met yet.

Because somewhere out there… someone might be calling your name.

  5. Finding Your Soul Mate May Not Be Easy But It's Not Impossible Either | Review: Your Name [ENG/ESP]@saacvma437d

Some Believe in Red String but Would Rather Think of Quantum Entanglement

What's up people, I hope you are very well, this time I come with the review to a movie (although you already know what it is about by the title of the post) that I had not seen since its release in 2016 and it is not that I did not want to because I really wanted to see it, I just had not made the time to give it a chance. Your Name, the famous film by Makoto Shinkai, which managed to pass the anime and reach even those people who are not a big fan of anime and, now that I see it, I understand why. Below are a lot of spoilers so for those who haven't seen it, be warned.

    Post_portada.jpg

Your Name, ¡¡WWWOOOOWWW!!

As I always say, first things first, and the first thing is to know what Your Name is about. This story introduces us to two protagonists, Mitsuha, a teenager who hates her life in the village and Taki, a boy who lives in Tokyo and dreams of becoming an artist or architect. The lives of these two will be intertwined the night that two stars fall from the sky, giving them the small particularity of changing their bodies for a day, thus developing a strong longing to meet in person.

Your Name, WWWOOOOWWWW!!! The real question here is why I hadn't seen this before, I already knew more or less what the movie was about because I saw the trailer years ago when it was announced but I didn't see any significant spoilers until I came across a video on Tik Tok that referenced that maybe more than the red thread story how about seeing it as the theory of quantum entanglement. I know, I know, no need to look for the five legs to the cat but I read what that theory states and the truth is that I must admit, I was very convinced by the point of view of the person who uploaded that video to Tik Tok but more on that later.

Although I don't know much about the medium, directors, authors and everything else, I can say based on my experience that Makoto Shinkai is a genius creating these stories and making us suffer and die in them. I have only seen The Garden of Words (my favorite) and The Time With You, but those two are enough for me to know that this man has a lot to contribute to the industry, with Your Name it's even clearer.

As always, the story begins by introducing the characters and from the beginning warns us how the dynamics are going to be in this hour and fifty minutes of duration, spoiler: It's worth every minute. As the plot progresses we see how the protagonists get used to this exchange of bodies and how they look for ways to communicate with each other, what they don't know is that they will develop a strong longing to really know each other. I recently reviewed a very good movie about time travel, and when I saw Your Name I didn't expect it to also deal with time travel, but this time in a very interesting way.

The film was already earning a place for its beautiful animation and the story it was carrying, what can I say I'm a little weak to this kind of stories, but when little by little they introduce time travel or an allusion to that ended up hooking me even more. Makoto Shinkai is simply someone who knows how to do things, yes it's a little weird all that connecting with the past and being able to change the course of things by fate but he does it so well and accompanies it with an even better story that all it does is add a plus to everything and improve even more his final product leaving us thinking and with an expression of astonishment because yes, I was surprised by all that, the truth.

The development of the characters, to tell the truth, focused on the main characters, since the story is completely centered on them, let's say that it does not investigate much in the secondary characters such as Mitsuha's friends who have a little more participation than Taki's friends except for those who accompany him on his journey to Itomor but this does not become a point against completely since films like Caddo Lake or The Gorge do the same and it is very interesting.

    Foto 3.jpgSource

Now, the theory of Quantum Entanglement explains that it is a phenomenon where two or more particles are connected in such a way that, no matter how far apart they are, whatever happens to one will directly affect the other. Now taking this to Your Name, it makes a lot of sense, because if the legend of the red thread that suggests that a thread connects two people who are destined to be together, as we see the movie that properly talks about threads but with the addition of the time factor, it becomes more “real” (speaking in terms of the movie) because these two, Mitsuha and Taki, are connected but in different times.

Ok, when I got to that part of the movie I was more amazed than in everything I had been watching, the way in which “fate” gives Mitsuha and Taki a second chance to meet each other is simply, apart from being emotional, very masterful. Being directly connected not only despite the distance but through time and influencing each other's lives leaves a great contribution to think about our relationships with our loved ones, without necessarily speaking from the romantic aspect.

    Foto 7.jpgSource

Right in that part I remembered that theory and how no matter the overlap of the particle or its state, when they are intertwined, one will always directly affect the other. Without a doubt, Your Name, is a movie that not only takes you through an incredible journey of emotions while you are watching it but it leaves an incredible message about the importance of connections and really enjoying life and doing it in a fulfilling way.

I recommend watching it, and if you can enjoy it in company, believe me it will be well worth it. Perhaps many have already seen it, but I think there is also that small minority that has not had the opportunity to do so (like me until a few days ago). The movie has excellent characters, moments that will keep you on your toes about what is going to happen, a very very nice animation, something that Makoto Shinkai has us used to with his works and not to mention its ending. Everything is simply epic and with a lot of courage.

  6. Review After Recommendation: A Timeless Masterpiece: A Review of "Kimi no Na wa" (Your Name)@fashtioluwa499d

Hello Anime lovers, it's another week for weebs to gather and talk about things they love. Some weeks ago I came across a review in the community by @coderaikiri talking about an anime Titled "Your Name" After reading his review, I went on Netflix to search for the anime and luckily it was there so I added it to my playlist.

I am happy I remembered his name this time.

I have gotten two recommendations from The Anime Realm and I must say, the members have good taste in anime because "Kimi no Na wa" was one of the best anime I have watched, which made me teary. I am not a fan of watching anime movies except it is a series and has a movie but I think "Kimi no Na wa" has changed my perspective.

Just this morning, I learned that the anime has a 98% rotten tomatoes review, 4.9/5 on Crunchyroll and 8.4/10 on IMBd. Do you know how impactful an anime has to be for it to get such a rating?

    image.png

    About the anime.

Kimi no Na wa" (Your Name) is a breathtakingly beautiful anime film that has captivated people's hearts worldwide with its poignant storytelling, memorable characters, and stunning animation, and I discovered this after reading more about it and doing some in-depth research. The movie was directed by Makoto Shinkai; the movie was released in 2016, and it came out as a masterpiece.

One thing I love about the anime is the music, the use of sounds made everything in the anime so beautiful. The anime theme song is a trending song that many people love and as an anime fan, you must have heard it somewhere. Trust me.

The film's soundtrack, composed by Radwimps, is a song that carries the narrative of the story and has so many emotions to it. The theme song, "Zenzenzense," is a hauntingly beautiful ballad that encapsulates the film's themes of love, longing, and connection.

another interesting song by Redwimps I love so much is that of "Suzume no Tojimari" ft Toaka Suzume

    The storyline

The story is about two high school students, Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu, who live in different parts of Japan. One day, they mysteriously swap bodies, crazy right but this is not an anime with super mysterious powers of unimaginable feats. After they swap bodies, (Read Lookism Manhwa to understand swapping of bodies better) their lives become intertwined. The boy became the girl and the girl became the boy; the only way they could communicate was to write down details in their notebooks so that when they swapped bodies again, they could know what each other wanted. As they navigate each other's lives, they develop a deep connection, despite being physically apart. The anime has lots of things in it that it might take you 3 seasons of an anime series before you experience it. It has slice of life, balancing humor, drama, and fantasy. It has much more to give and it one of the best shows.

You see, Taki and Mitsuha are some kind of twisted characters, which made it hard for me to understand at first, but in a split second, I was able to understand what was going on, The two characters have their own distinct personality, struggles, and dreams.

    image.png

Taki, is a Tokyo high school student, that lives in the city, while Mitsuha, lives in the rural town's and is also a high school student which means their world are far apart from each other. As the story unfolds, their complexities and vulnerabilities are revealed, making it easy to relate with their life struggle.

The anime is a brilliant anime and it deserves to be watched by all. I believe this anime is a PG-rated anime because its an anime everyone and every age could learn from. I try my best not to include too many spoilers so you can enjoy the anime to the fullest. Trust me, the ending part might put a tear in your eyes.

I would gladly recommend it to other people to watch and I don't think I need to rate it because it already has a high rating but from my side, I would give it a 9/10. When watching anime, I do notice some lapses in them but this one, I could hardly find any which made me give it a 9, I would keep the remaining 1 to myself.

Thanks for reading, here is the trailer.

  7. Kimi No Na Wa - Separated By Much More Than Distance But Manage To Get To Know Each Other [ENG -ESP]@kuronokenshi539d

One aspect that I have always loved about drama anime is how many times they can go from funny moments and scenes to the development of the dramatic plot and provoke a total immersion in the story, reaching the point of maximum tension to know what will happen. One of the most important anime in this genre and that knows how to create these aspects besides having a series of unexpected changes in the plot is Kimi No Na Wa also known as Your Name, one of the pillars in the dramatic anime, very recognized among the fans of this genre and after finally watching it I can say that his fame is well deserved, an anime that knows how to create very well the intrigue for what will happen next and although I could not consider it one of the saddest and dramatic I've seen, if it is a work of art.

This anime introduces us to two main characters: Mitsuha Miyaizu who is a young girl from a small town in the mountains and Taki Tachibana, a young artist with great drawing skills who lives in the busy city of Tokyo. At first the background of the story seems to be a romantic comedy without major dramatic elements, it shows how for some unknown reason Taki and Mitsuha every so often when they wake up in the morning have changed bodies with each other and must live a whole day in each other's lives, with the negative that, when they wake up the next day again in their bodies, the memories of the previous day are very blurry.

    Kimi No Na Wa.mp4 - Reproductor multimedia VLC 15_1_2025 7_43_29 p. m..png

With this premise the story progresses presenting how both young people must get used to live in this way changing body several days a week and trying to keep the social life of the other without many changes, through notes on phones or notebooks are leaving the rules to be followed by being in the body of the other as well as a diary of what was his day in the body of the other, A funny plot where you can see how despite the rules the personalities of both seem to be so different that it creates funny moments to see how their friends react to the days they are in each other's bodies, but no one else knows this.

    Kimi No Na Wa.mp4 - Reproductor multimedia VLC 15_1_2025 7_43_39 p. m..png

As the story goes on we can see how not only the days of exchanging bodies generate funny moments, also in one way or another they end up bringing Taki and Mitsuha closer to each other, despite not being able to talk to each other and only see each other when they are in each other's body, they are creating certain feelings between them, we can also see how in a certain way each one manages to influence the other to improve their way of being. All this ends soon when the dramatic aspect of this story begins and how at the same time it manages to include an element that is usually complicated to use in a good way in stories and also manages to create a twist in the plot very unexpected, but all this in a way so well done that manages to make you generate a lot of emotion for the story while creating more doubts about the reason why they change bodies.

    Kimi No Na Wa.mp4 - Reproductor multimedia VLC 15_1_2025 7_44_09 p. m..png

As the story progresses we can see how Taki and Mitsuha are separated much more than by the distance between the cities, but at the same time we see how they are destined to be together for a long time and that regardless of the circumstances their determination to help each other is able to overcome any obstacle no matter how impossible it may seem, especially with Taki who must overcome several obstacles that seem impossible and even remember by force what they forget to save Mitsuha.

One aspect that I liked a lot about the story and that once the movie ends you can understand the reason for it, is how they present each of the main characters and the background and history that we know of each of them. In the beginning Mitsuha is mostly shown and it feels like she has more relevance in the story, as well as presenting part of her past, her relationship with her family and part of her problems or traumas, the reason why she is a more closed and a little introverted girl. Then as the film progresses it becomes more important in the same Taki, her current relationship with her friends and her actions to reunite with Mitsuha and save her, even at the end we see how the story progresses several years and we know what became of Taki in the future and how she still seems to remember Mitsuha.

    Kimi No Na Wa.mp4 - Reproductor multimedia VLC 15_1_2025 7_49_08 p. m..png

The end of the story for my taste was handled in a good way especially considering that it uses one of the most complicated elements in the narratives to conclude in a good way, but to avoid Spoiler I will not mention it. At the end several aspects may be left a little in doubt and to the interpretation of the viewer, how Mitsuha manages to achieve his goal at the end, how his family relationship turned out after all and some other questions, the same with the time jump towards the end can create several doubts besides leaving until the last moment of the story the doubt in the air of whether we would have the “happy” ending that one longs for as the story progresses, even the last scene although it is very touching and can be happy, it also leaves you that doubt whether things will end well or not.

Undoubtedly Kimi No Na Wa has well deserved its popularity in the world of dramatic anime, has a narrative and character development quite special and unique in its own way, the more the story progresses the more it manages to captivate and excite you, while maintaining until the last second the intrigue and concern about how the end will be, it is normal to have unanswered questions in these stories, but they are better unanswered. In the same way its visual and musical work is incredible, scenes and incredible animation, accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack that manages to create many emotions with each song and highlight perfectly every moment in the story.

    Kimi No Na Wa.mp4 - Reproductor multimedia VLC 15_1_2025 7_43_29 p. m..png

    Kimi No Na Wa.mp4 - Reproductor multimedia VLC 15_1_2025 7_44_09 p. m..png

    Kimi No Na Wa.mp4 - Reproductor multimedia VLC 15_1_2025 7_49_08 p. m..png

  8. Kimi no Na wa - Two people destined to love each other@dinaaczib574d

Greetings dear friends, this is my second review of what has been one of the most beautiful anime films in animation and story I've seen, Kimi no Na wa or also known as Your Name is for me more than a simple love story, this film connects very important elements, the connection between two people living in very different environments and their ways of life are poles apart, but that does not stop the final connection of their souls.

This production is from 2016 and shows us the realities of what it is like to live in a country place, natural to be close to your ancestral beliefs and your roots, on the other hand, longing to be in a more advanced world and with some different, more modern lifestyle. There is a beautiful editing of this movie, the colors and the landscapes that it gives us of the city where the events take place called Itomori, Mitsuha's birth city. I love how in these productions they always emphasize their roots, their history.

Lavender Cute Floral Night Sky Girl Quote Desktop Wallpaper.jpg

Well, we find ourselves with a love story destined to prevail, where phenomena and ancestral facts are combined, Mitsuha and Taki are the protagonist boys in question, there were not many things in common, besides they lived in very different places and led very different lives as well.

Without giving you too many spoilers, although it is likely that many of you know her, it happens that one day unexpectedly Mitsuha suddenly wakes up a little disheveled and confused, it happens that she feels she had a very strange dream, or she thought it was a dream. The same thing happened to Taki, this boy when he met his friends one morning, they told him that he had been very strange the day before, so he felt that something had happened.

An event happens between them that makes them live each other's lives, changing bodies, there is an inexplicable connection, without having any idea of who they are or what their names are, they begin to wake up in the mornings in each other's bodies. Altering the routines of each of them and impacting even people around them.

The particularity of this story is that their times or those changes of bodies do not flow in a linear time, that is to say each situation is out of phase, so there is a very important event that changes the history of these two boys one morning, suddenly Taki wakes up worried because he finds it strange that he can not be back to take Mitsuha's place, and that's when he realizes that something is not right and decides to investigate because although he does not remember her name or where she was he begins to do his best to find out who is that girl who has him so distracted and with a sad feeling.

Well, I do not have a critical comment for this production, on the contrary, of course there may be a special fact that if we are very conservative or very closed we may not like it, those who saw it know what I mean (laughs) for example that touching each other's body is something that maybe they add to give it a bit of mischief or freshness.

It seems to me a nice movie to share, a love story that, although it may be a little cliché, leaves a very nice message in my opinion, as it makes us see that when two people are born to be together many things can be aligned in favor if you fight.

If you haven't seen it please go see it, I know you will like it, I loved it a lot and I hope I can continue to enjoy deliveries like these, which out of everything leaves us something nice to think about. Greetings.

  9. Let's Take A Look At Your Name@youloseagain609d

    YourName-heading.jpg

Afternoon to you all So I am a bit behind on this month's AnimeRealm Quest but hey ho, life gets in the way and I keep buying awesome boardgames to play!

Today we are looking at the amazing film Your Name or Kimi no Na wa

This film is a work of beauty and amazement for me, from the artwork to the story and the downright amazing and loveable soundtrack that I can't get enough of!

The story follows 2 High School Students, Mitsuha Miyamizu who lives in the countryside and yearns to live in Tokyo as she is sick to death of living in the small town countryside. She wants lights and excitement! On the other hand we have Taki Tachibana, a High School student who actually lives in Tokyo. He has an interest in architecture and wants to pursue it as a future career. He lives a very busy life with school and his part time work commitments taking up a lot of his time.

Year of release: 2016 Studio: CoMix Wave Films Genre: Drame Age rating: PG My rating: Perfection/10 Run time: 1 hour and 46 minutes.

    179016l.jpg

One morning upon waking, Mitsuha finds herself in a room that is not hers and in a body that is not hers. She is now in Taki's body, living the life of a Tokyo High Schooler. This is much to her surprise and does add a bit of humour to the first scenes.

Though Taki also finds out that he has switched bodies and is currently in Mitsuha 's body. As any young man would do, he tests things out and more humour ensues! Taki finds himself now living in the countryside, a far difference from his own life.

    182270l.jpg

As the story progresses, their regular body swaps when they fall asleep start to raise more questions amongst themselves. This leads to them wanting to find each other and sort it out.

    304716l.jpg

I would say that the film focuses on their action's while they are in each other's bodies. An example is that Taki has to work more shifts as Mitsuha is eating loads of nice food when she is in Taki's body. This means he has no money so he is working really hard to cover the lost money. this in turn means Mitsuha also has to cover some of them shifts during their swaps. Serves her right in my eyes 😅 Gotta work for it if you are going to be greedy!

How they both impact each others lives when switched is noticeable through how their friends comment or discuss things with them, noticing small and subtle changes that they just cannot understand. Some beautiful and sad moments arise from these impactful changes in each others lives.

    190244l.jpg

The story has it's traditional elements where the red cord that connects the 2 of them together. This is representing their fates and how they are connected. It seems to be a common belief I have found upon reading up on it.

There is a scene where they are making Sake at the shrine that Mitsuha's family run. This practise involves chewing rice in their mouths, thus crushing the rice and then spitting it into a jar. The women performing this ritual were unmarried and pure maidens. This from what I can gather is actually how Sake was made a very long time ago. it was done as part of a Shinto ritual. Of course this is no longer done this way (I hope) as the practice became Illegal a long ol time ago in Japan. It does show that the film does incorporate some elements of Japanese culture and customs, even if it seems a bit weird to how things are done now.

Imagine cracking a bottle open to find a big ol chunk of lugie in there.... That's the only thing that goes through my mind every time I watch that scene!

Images from Title Picture and MyAnimeList

Now onto the awesome soundtrack next. If you have read any of my other posts, then this is a part I love doing, finding amazing songs that are perfect for the film/series is great. Even better is when those songs make it onto my daily playlists, this means they just have something really special about them.

Without further ado I bring to you the opening theme song Yume Tourou by RADWIMPS. To this day when I hear the first few seconds of this song it starts to tug at my heart strings. I remember this part of the film so vividly and remember how much I loved it the first time I saw the film and every time since.

Another beautiful song is Nandemonaiya by RADWIMPS.

How this song covers the end of the film is beautiful. The ending still get's me right in the feels even now. The whole movie I spend rooting for them both and hoping all ends well. RADWIMPS were such an amazing choice to do the songs for the film as the vocals are beautiful and fit the film so well.

Even now thinking about the songs and listening to them tugs on my heart. This is a film that I cannot recommend enough, and is one of those films that I could watch again for the first time. It is just beautiful and a lovely story.

  10. "Your Name" Review - A Romance that Leaves You Wanting More@afterglow870d

    Greetings!

Never in my lifetime did a movie wake me up until 3:53 am just because of the profound emotional attachment that it created in me. "Your Name" is probably one of the greatest romance fantasies that I have watched in my lifetime. To be honest I have a mixed feeling about this movie (feelings that I cannot recognize myself, weird). But one thing is for sure, I searched the internet for a sequel after I watched it and I will argue that this could be one of the greatest romances that I have ever seen and left me wanting to see a sequel.

    Plot

Your Name tells the story of two individuals who when they sleep will switch places making themselves and the people around them clueless about what has happened to them. But the switching doesn't seem to happen on the same timeline (how powerful love can be).

    Opening scenes

I have nothing but praise for the animation style of the opening scenes like the one with a hand water pump and the bridge scene where the female protagonist Mitsuha and her friends were walking on their way to school. To be honest the opening scenes made me confused and then made sense at the later part.

Mitsuha and her friends walking on their way to school

    A romance unlike any other

Your Name made me so fixated on my seat that I am waiting for the moment that the two protagonists will eventually meet in person. Taki embarked on a journey with his friends to find Mitsuha only to find out that the town had been hit by a meteor three years ago and more than 500 people died. The findings made me think that Mitsuha is just actually a fragment of reality that happened three years ago and that it only seems real because of the switching places that are happening.

That tears are beyond real, it's love with no boundaries

Treasure the experience, dreams eventually will fade away

The words of Mitsuha's grandmother made me think that she and Taki will not be going to ever meet just because the time that they are switching places is three years apart. Also, a meteor that struck Itomori (the hometown of Mitsuha) killed more than 500 people. The meteor impact made me believe that Mitsuha was one of the victims, again, making me think that the switching of places was just a coincidence of something.

    A union like no other

But then the unthinkable happened. Taki embarks on a journey one last time, finding the shrine where Mitsuha left a "Sake" as an offering for the gods. Taki drank the Sake and found out that the Sake seemed to be an offering to the gods to prevent another meteor impact. Taki passed out and when he woke up he ran through to the top of the highest point of the crater there, Mitsuha and Taki met for the first time. This meeting led me to believe that the two were dreaming and their time finally coincided with each other. The meeting was short-lived as Taki finally woke up all alone.

    My chest is getting tighter

As the scenes get intense my emotional attachment to the movie grows deeper. And with that being said, the thought of Taki and Mitsuha will never get to meet made my chest tighter and tighter. No movie has made me feel this way but "Your Name" did.

    I thought I would be...

To be honest, in the later part of the movie I lost hope that the two would not be going to meet ever and I would be brokenhearted but then a glimmer of hope provided me some relief that the two could meet each other. But when? Where? And how?

    Could they finally...

The premise of the two seeing each other on different trains is brilliant. Never did I know that it is also one of the opening scenes that happened to be one of the ending scenes. I thought they would meet at the train station, but I was wrong. The running to find each other again made my chest higher and tighter making me think that they were only dreaming. But then they finally met each other, this time, for real. End of story.

    Taki and Mitsuha...

    Conclusion

After watching the movie it made me think that "it is now my favorite romance of all time" I think it beats Romeo and Juliet, haha. With that being said, I tried to write the most emotionally attached words that I could. So, I just made this blog a part of me (a part of my emotion). To be honest, I wanted to see a sequel to this one which of course I want to be made by Makoto Shinkai. I wonder what is going on right now mind of Makoto's mind regarding "Your Name".

That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.

Greetings to the Hivers and anime lovers!

Welcome to my blog today I am going to share with you a review of the Japanese anime movie Your Name [ Original title: Kimi no na wa ]. It's a fantasy romance drama.

    Movie Summary

The story begins around Taki and Mitsuha. Both high school students are seen mysteriously swapping their bodies. But they don't understand what is happening at first. They both thought it was a dream. But after they wake up, they don't remember anything. But when they realize that it is actually happening through body swapping. Making a diary for themselves as much as writing down their daily routines because when they both got into each other's bodies they used to act like themselves it would seem like they were memoryless to outsiders.

  12. A Connection That Transcends Time | Your Name@adalathu942d

    1.jpg

We should never judge a book by its cover. That is something that has been heard a lot and although it is usually true, there is something inside us that always pushes us to reject something without knowing anything about it. In the case of anime and in matters of entertainment in general, I am very clear that romance is not my thing, there are very few things of that style that I like, so when the movie Your Name came out, I simply passed it by assuming that it was one of the many cheesy things that bore me. However, I recently read a review of it in the community and was intrigued, that translated into wanting to see it, which happened just last weekend and I must say that although it does have its fair share of romance, the plot kept me in anticipation and entertained me more than I expected.

The story is about two teenagers, Mitsuha and Taki, who mysteriously swap bodies in their sleep. As expected, at first everything is confusing for them, and they make mistakes in each other's lives that they must learn to avoid. The problem is that every time they wake up in their bodies, the memories of each other's lives gradually disappear, as if it had all been just a dream. After many failed attempts, they finally discover an effective way to communicate and help each other in their daily lives.

However, when everything seems to be going well between them, suddenly the changes stop due to a catastrophic event, so they must find a way to reunite and join forces to overcome a great tragedy. Despite not remembering their names, the two will struggle to find a special connection between them that transcends time and space.

Your Name is a movie that definitely surprised me, come on, I knew it was good because it has a very positive review, however, I was expecting a simple teenage romance and not everything that happens in the story. There is a cool set of parallels between the life of a boy from a city as big and as busy as Tokyo, and that of a girl from a small and very traditionalist town. These two opposites are perfectly represented in the film by Mitsuha and Taki, through whom we learn a little more about the culture and the daily life in that country. In the tremendous journey that the characters go through with each change of body, we see them mature, empathize and above all learn to value what they have and respect what others have.

Just when I thought the story had stagnated, and I was about to get lost in a sea of adolescent love, everything changes and something is revealed that completely affects the relationship between the characters. This twist completely changed my perception of the film and saved the plot from being just a teenage love story. Fantasy elements such as time jumps and timelines were included, which enriched the story and set everything up for a chaotic, but entertaining second act, in which we see the protagonists fight against time and memory loss to reach each other.

The emotional denouement is simply what you would expect from such a story, and I must say I was a bit disappointed. I would have liked a good ending for both of them, but not completely happy like the one they presented. But hey, I guess within all the fantasy of the movie, one more fluke, doesn't hurt. Besides, I have to agree that it was a satisfying denouement, despite the cheesiness of the whole thing.

    4.jpg

    ANIMATION AND MUSIC

Not recognizing the beauty of the visual art in this film would be a tremendous mistake. The character design is very nice, what I liked most about it is that the animators did not fall into the error of creating the typical generically attractive characters that we can see in any romantic Slice of life, which I thought was fantastic. Likewise, the landscapes, both rural and urban, are perfectly realized and beautifully represent both sides of Japan.

As for the music, I had mixed feelings, there were moments when I felt it was wonderful, as if it was the perfect accompaniment for the plot. However, there were some other situations in which the music got in my way, this was because the songs were voiced, which completely took me out of the atmosphere that the story had generated, since in some parts there was a character talking at the same time. It was somewhat unfortunate because it happened at important moments where perhaps another type of musical intervention would have been more appropriate.

Despite the few things I might have disliked about it, it is actually a great movie, with a well-developed plot, as well as its characters, that managed to move me more than once. Perhaps it's not the best Japanese animation I've seen, however, it has a good place in my favorites list, so if you haven't seen it, don't hesitate to do so, it will probably surprise you, as it did me.

    ![3.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/adalathu/23wBZd55wAx1SULGwW1fPE3uqJ3RfpDbyR64uv5FNd4S9QXV6PVDWQc3G67XVLovhdToG.jpg)

    ![4.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/adalathu/2432HVGhTo1sQKLjakx7nZziNZABs6d7cjrTw8khwGfSo7QNEmYKBSvbDm6aGuz6TDdrp.jpg)

A pleasure to greet you again dear community, if we talk about good movies, we have to talk about Your Name, I'm not lying when I say that this is one of the best Japanese animated films I've seen in my short time of life, I confess that at first I was crazy and did not understand anything, but watching it again I understood and I said "great movie".

The film focuses on the characters of Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu, two high school students who live in very different places: Taki resides in Tokyo, a large metropolis full of life and opportunities, while Mitsuha inhabits Itomori, a small rural village surrounded by nature and traditions. One day, they both wake up in each other's bodies, without knowing how or why it happened. At first, they think it is a strange dream, but soon realize that it is a reality that repeats itself from time to time. To adapt to their new lives, they establish some basic rules and communicate through messages on their phones, their notebooks or their own skins. Thus, they begin to get to know each other better, and to positively influence their respective environments.

However, the connection between Taki and Mitsuha is not as simple as it seems, and they soon discover that there is a secret that threatens to separate them forever. To avoid it, they will have to face several obstacles, both personal and external, and rely on the strength of their feelings. The film has several unexpected twists and turns that keep the viewer's interest and excitement, and make the plot more complex and deeper than it appears.

Your Name is a film that stands out for its visual beauty, immersive music and emotionality. Makoto Shinkai's animation style is impressive, with scenes that capture the essence and detail of urban and natural landscapes, and convey the feelings and emotions of the characters. The soundtrack, composed by the group Radwimps, accompanies the story perfectly, with songs that reflect the tone and rhythm of each scene, and are integrated into the narrative. The film raises universal questions, such as the search for identity, the meaning of life, the value of relationships, the importance of memory, the power of destiny and the magic of love (oh yes, love).

  14. Your Name / Anime Movie Review@pompoko1661d

Today I have brought you an anime movie review called Your Name. In this review I will not maintain the formality, I will do it in my own language. If you are a movie lover, then read this article . I promise you are going to know about a very beautiful movie.

First, let's talk about the movie. It is a Japanese anime movie directed by Makoto Shinkai, released on July 3, 2016. It is an animated version of Makoto Shinkai's own Your Name Novel (published on June 17, 2018).

    image_2021_12_20_232001.png (photo source - Google)

Director and author Makoto had an opinion, "I could not spend much time behind it. If I could spend a little more time, maybe I could write a little better . "

Now let's talk about the movie -

The central character Mitsuha lived with his younger sister Yutsuha at his grandmother's house in a beautiful village called Yetumuri, Japan. The mother died of a disease after giving birth to a younger sister. The current mayoral candidate of that village left them after the death of his parents. The schoolgirl, a very transparent, tidy teenage girl, Mitsuhai, the heroine of the movie . image.png (photo source: Google)

Another central character is Taki. Even if you want to sing Taki-Taki songs with the name you heard for the first time, you can misunderstand at the end of the movie. However, Taki is the protagonist of the movie, who lives in a small house in Tokyo, Japan. He goes to school till noon, then works in a restaurant from afternoon till night. A teenager with a naughty and angry nature, usually like a boy . image.png (photo source: Google)

So much distance between the two, even where one does not know the other, whether they are the hero-heroine of the story! If you want to know, watch it .

The story is basically a bit of a spiritual type, but you can't tell when you're going to get lost in that spirituality. So for those who don't like spirituality, Once you start, you can't get up without finishing .

1 hour 52 minutes of the movie, The first 30 minutes of the movie will go to understand what is happening. And the ending, you can't figure out what's going to happen before the ending. Even most of the scenes are like that. At first, I could not catch up what is going to happen. Many people have given low rating to this movie because they could not understand the facts.

If I say tips, I will say that the less you blink while watching the movie, the better. If mom calls, don't forget to pause before answering. In every scene, in every moment, there is a meaningful explanation. Every moment you will feel the tension inside you, you will be thrilled if you can get into its depths.

So if you don't understand the first time, then look for the second time .there will be no doubt about the truth of my words. image.png

Your name is one of those movies that leaves us marked for life. Its plot and animation are beautiful and make it shine within the entire panorama of anime that I have seen in my life.

The story is about two boys, Mitsuha who lives in a town called Itomori and Taki who lives in Tokyo. One of Mitsuha's dreams is to be able to live in Tokyo because she feels frustrated living in a town that has little to offer, where there isn't even a cafeteria or where to spend a different time.

This girl soon begins to have dreams that she lives in Tokyo and attends a school. Upon waking up each morning the students and their families are surprised because the day before he had behaved in a strange way. The same thing happened with Taki. And what was happening? Well, every time they had a dream they dreamed and lived the life of the other.

This fact made Mitsuhi and Taki begin to create rules of behavior so as not to ruin each other's lives. So far the argument despite being fun and a bit original can be taken lightly but then we can see situations and scenes of a depth rarely seen in anime.

This movie fills us with strong emotions and it will probably bring more than one tear to you. It will also make us laugh on a few occasions, fulfilling multiple functions when it comes to our emotions.

A very important section in this film is the incredible soundtrack that gives enormous potential to the best scenes, we already know that music has the power to beautify a situation by making it look more emotional. The design and the artistic part are almost unmatched achieving impressive details of which you will realize when watching the film.

The script has the characteristic of not being linear but in fact we can see parts of the end from the beginning. There are flashbacks and an interesting time game that makes the story unique. I've always liked stories that play with time and this one does it very well.

As for the characters, we can quickly sympathize with the protagonists. They will be in charge of the most emotional and tense scenes in history. The secondary characters if I must say that they do not have a great weight other than to complement the story and give more shine to the protagonists.

It may seem like the typical body-swapping movie but I assure you that it is not, the problem is that if I continue to comment more on the story I can ruin the surprise part of this film that is undoubtedly one of the best I have seen in Japanese animation .

  16. Kimi no na wa - Your Name.@blind-spot1826d

The movie made me feel empty, longing for something, and weirdly incomplete. After watching Your Name, I felt as if real love was something not everyone finds, and for sure not everyone can hold on to. The worst part is that I found myself debating if I would find it or would I not be able to hold on to it.

Trust me, kimi no na wa is going to leave you with emotions you haven't met in a long time. It is going to acquaint you with very distant thoughts and feelings that you either are not supposed to meet or simply aren't logical to meet. I am going to try my best to share my feelings about this movie without spoiling it a lot. For those who haven't watched it, you might want to, and for those who have watched it, I am glad you did.

    image.png

Your Name was my first anime movie ever. I do not think I will be persuaded to watch another anime movie since Your Name has set me up for disappointment. There is no possible way to beat Your Name. The story, the direction, the genius, nothing can be replicated and cannot be outdone. I hear the director has since released Weathering With You, but I do not think it can live up to Your Name.

This isn't a Netflix and chill movie. This movie isn't meant for a date night unless you really are into your partner. This movie isn't meant for a boys' night unless you want to show how vulnerable you really can get. To truly appreciate the movie you will need to give it all your attention. This isn't a movie for your background noise, it is a work of art and deserves the type of respect.

    image.png

As much as I praise the movie, it isn't perfect. Everything from the beginning right up until the last few minutes is perfect. The ending was, however, a little unclimactic. I personally feel it did not match the intensity and did not do justice to the build-up.

Was it a good and fair ending? Yes. Was it an appropriate and fitting ending? Yes. Was it a satisfying ending? No.

It felt like walking up to a Turkish ice cream vendor, ordering a sorbet ice cream cone, and getting it served. I got what I wanted. I like what I wanted. But why didn't the vendor tease and mess with me like they do in the Instagram videos?

    image.png

Apart from the obvious romance, there are a lot of layers in Your Name. The story is also chronologically "incorrect". I have read a lot of reviews where the viewer had to watch the movie more than once to grasp the concept properly. I can see why this movie has grossed so much in earnings and reputation. It is a solid movie. Well made.

I personally loved how there are questions scattered throughout the movie. Your Name gives its viewers an ending they have been waiting for but also lets them go home with lingering questions that only they can answer. For example, where does the story really begin?

One could argue that the entire series of events starts with Mitsuha wishing to live in the city. However, it could have started from the first meteor that hit hundred of years ago which triggered the series. Or did it start with the Shinto Shrine where everything was predetermined, as a result, the series of events was too. If Mitsuha's dad hadn't abandoned it or if he stayed with it, what would be the outcomes?

    image.png

Another layer I loved in the movie was the cultural layer. It is obviously noticed through the "body swaps". The culture within the culture. In the city, Mitsuha is faced with a lot of culture shock. And so does Taki in Itomori. Apart from that, there are the cultural aspects of Itomori which Mitsuha learns to love...eventually.

Then there are layers like friendships and relationships. We see how Miki and Taki grow close to each other, no thanks to Taki himself, but we also see how Taki realizes he needs to distance himself from Miki. Miki is smart and quickly understands before things get too serious. We also see how far friendships can go both when Taki has rough times in the city and when he comes to Itomori. The same goes for Mitsuha and her circles.

    image.png

There is a lot of nail-biting moments in the movie. I think the moments last until....the last moment. There are a lot of "blueballs" moments too. Moments when you think everything is nice and dandy, and at the second of climax everything is ruined. I did feel very bad for Mitsuha's granma tho. She went through the same things but never had the luck to figure it all out.

I have one thing to say, follow the red thread. It will really help you follow the movie in a more untangled manner. Think of it as the totem from the movie Inception. You will always be kept wondering and confused from the first scene.

I think the movie did very well because it was able to make the viewer manifest the exact emotion the characters felt in real-time. Whether it be frustration, confusion, sadness, rushed, whatever the emotion, it was reciprocated. I almost punched my monitor when the writing was left uncompleted on the hand. But at the same time I was confused. The exact emotions the character felt.

What a brilliant movie! I would watch it again, but my heart is not equipped to take the ride of emotions one more time.

  21. Kimi no Nawa (Your Name): a breath of fresh air in anime@seal72918d

Article was written by one of our writers https://delightfulanime.com/anime-reviews/kimi-no-nawa-review/

One of the biggest drawbacks in anime is that it tends to suffer from the cheap, fast, and good dilemma. If you’re buying any kind of service, you face this dilemma. You can get stuff done cheap and fast, but the service’s quality is usually not all that good. You can get good work delivered quickly but you probably will need to pay extra. Finally, you can get good service on the cheap but don’t expect the provider to deliver quickly.

The same dilemma sort of plays out in anime. Fans often are left to face difficult choices between the quality of three factors-plot, character development, and art.

I had this dilemma in mind when I first viewed Kimi no Nawa (‘Your Name’). I was wondering which factor will suffer. The fact that no other than Makoto Shinkai, the force behind The Garden of Words and 5 cm per Second somewhat set my mind at ease, I didn’t quite know what to expect. Sure, Shinkai made a name for himself with these classic romantic anime titles but past track record is no guarantee of future success.

Boy, was I in for a treat. This Funimation-produced romantic anime film was released in Japan last August and has gone down as an instant classic in the history of Japanese animation. First, it dominated the Japanese box office. Racking up total ticket sales well over $175 million USD, it dominated movie charts for nine straight weeks. Second, it was so well-received internationally that it is in the running for an Oscar award for Best Animated Feature.

‘Your name’ has gone on to capture the imaginations of both hardcore anime and casual movie fans all over the globe. And the fan mania over “Your Name” shows no signs of slowing down.

It’s easy to see why people from all over the world have simply fallen in love with this anime film-it has overcome the classic movie dilemma of character, plot, and art quality. Simply put, “Your Name” hit the ball out of the park on all three counts!

The first thing that hits you is Makoto Shinkai’s mastery of emotional narration. There’s that same lingering sadness that made 5 cm Per Second and The Garden of Words so memorable. You get really drawn into the internal questions and sense of yearning and aching the characters feel. Shinkai’s script is full of touching, poetic text that you just have to wonder at how he is able to pack so much meaning in such a small number of well-selected lines.

In terms of plot line, Shinkai treats us to the improbable romance of Mitsuha and Taki-all made possible by the urgency of a comet threatening to crash in Japan. A simple country girl in high school, Mitsuha has big city dreams because she’s so bored of rural living. Taki, on the other hand, is a high school boy from cosmopolitan Tokyo. In fact, he’s quite exposed to a bit of exotic cultures thanks to his part-time work at an Italian-themed restaurant.

One mystical day, Taki and Mitsuha, inexplicably swapped bodies. This exchange plays out a few days per week without any advanced warning. As they see the world through each other’s eyes, they gradually fall in love with each other.

Shinkai masterfully tells this improbable and fantastic story without sentimentality or coming off as cheesy. This deft handling of supernatural events in a casual believable way is what sets this instant anime classic apart. Sure, any serious movie fan can easily point to movies like “Big” for the body swapping theme. Still, Shinkai’s explanation of the magical phenomenon behind the switch and the emotional intimacy of the characters seeing the world through each others’ bodies are what set this movie apart. I was quite surprised by the plot twist behind the phenomenon. I’m sure you’ll be pleased as well.

When it comes to character development, both anime and regular movie fans could not ask for more from “Your name.” You really get drawn into the emotional world of the characters. They are so easy to relate to-despite the fantastic plot vehicle of this film. Mitsuha and Taki’s actions, emotional range, and words are very believable and flow naturally from the plot. This creates a strong intimate emotional bond that spills over from the screen to viewers.

The art of “Your Name” doesn’t disappoint. This anime film’s graphics do an amazing job of conveying the fantastic premise of the plot and the emotional development and range of the main characters. Spare, to the point, and not prone to overdoing things or trying too hard, Shinkai showed the same stylistic graphic restraint that got him so many fans with 5 cm Per Second and The Garden of Words.

Finally, the soundtrack of “Your name” is both addictive and haunting. It’s so easy for the emotion-packed words to sink to your bones. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself humming some of the ditties in this film (all performed by the group Radwimps): Nandemonaiya (It’s Nothing), Supakuru (Sparkle), Zenzenzense (Previous previous previous life).

    Conclusion

Compared to Shinkai’s previous work, “Your name” stands out as more humorous, well-rounded emotionally, and, surprising given the emotional connection it brings to life, ‘light-hearted.’ If you’re looking for one of the best anime films produced in recent years, you don’t need to go further than Kimi No Nawa. It feels like you’re watching a miraculous combination of great art, plot, and character development. This movie is quite a rarity indeed!

  24. Your name by Makoto Shinkai@noemilunastorta3040d

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xU47nhruN-Q

Here I am to write a small review on an animated film that impressed  me, surely you will have heard of it, is titled "Your Name".

The 2016 film is written and produced by Makoto Shinkai (5 cm per second, The Garden of Words).

The Japanese title is Kimi no na wa.

The story takes place in two different places, Tokyo and a small country in the Japanese countryside. The protagonists are two teenagers, one male and one female, Taku, him, Mitsuha her.

Taki is a student from Tokyo who is divided between a part time job as  well as Mitsuha, the daughter of a village mayor, who wants another  kind of life, a citizen, freer and less monotonous.

The girl expresses this desire and things seem to come true. Taki and Mitsuha at night a few times a week exchange bodies and lives.

And when he wakes up in her body, he laughs in the audience, touching his breasts in embarrassment.

The  two guys linked by the red thread of destiny, a non-casual quotation,  given that red is the ribbon that binds the girl's hair and which will  have a non-marginal role, in the movie they  communicate via text messages.

    931/5000

Exchanging  bodies and lives are both initially embarrassed and difficult, creating  havoc among family members and friends who can no longer understand  their new behavior, so to help you decide to communicate with each other  through messages, lassciandosi directions, suggestions and useful  advice, for so do not upset one another's life.

Without  realizing their relationship becomes closer and something is born  between them, so as to push Taki to go in search of the mysterious girl  and what you will find is not really obvious ..

The  film is a little gem, the animation is delicate and very well done, the  quality of the drawings and the seabed very high, some have compared  Shinkai to the master Miyazaki, but he modestly denies that even though  Your name is an excellent film it is not completely perfect.

In my opinion, it's a wonderful film, the only flaw is a boring soundtrack.

Il titolo giapponese è Kimi no na wa.

    [Mitsuha]

    I lived in another body

    I lived in a boy's body

    What a crazy experience

    it must be a dream

yet it feels so real and true

    i felt it all

i got to school and was told of the many things i did

it's like I skipped a day in my life

I cannot recall any memory of it

all I know is I had a pretty fun day

    [Taki]

    I woke up in a girl's body

terrified I was, as I noticed many changes in my body

    a weird and good feeling

I looked into the mirror to gaze at my new found body

There I was with the prettiest eyes ever

    this is really strange

have I been dreaming my whole life

    is this my true reality

This reoccurring event happens over and over

The only way to do this is to visit her hometown. Already, his memories of her were fading so he had no recollection of the name of the town.

Also, writings and discussions they had on his phone also faded.

His search led him to Hida where he met a restaurant owner who recognized the town from [Taki's] sketch and tells him it was destroyed by a fragment of the comet. Taki finds Mitsuha's name in the records of fatalities and discovers the date of the disaster. He realizes their timelines were separated by three years.

he remembered the kuchikamizake ritual at the shrine. he proceeded there and there it was. all he add to do was drink it with hopes to reconnect with her body and warn her of the comet strike.

He wakes in her body on the morning of the town festival and reveals his identity to Mitsuha's grandmother, who tells him the body switching is part of the Miyamizu family history as caretakers of the shrine. He convinces Mitsuha's friends Tessie and Sayakato help evacuate the village by cutting the power and broadcasting a false emergency alert. He realizes that Mitsuha must be in his body at the shrine and goes back to find her.

She wakes up in [Taki's] body at the shrine. they could sense there presence at the instance. Calling out for attention. They could hear there voices but could not seem to find each other, they are separated by three years.

However, when twilight falls, they swapped back to their own bodies and met. they had a little widow of opportunity to communicate. They attempted to write each other's names on their hands so they will remember each other, but twilight passes and [Mitsuha] disappears before she can write hers.

As Mitsuha races back to town, her memories of Taki start to fade. Tessie tells Mitsuha to convince her estranged father, the mayor of Itomori, to evacuate the town. Running to her father's office to confront him about evacuation, Mitsuha realizes that Taki wrote "I love you" on her hand instead of his name. The comet piece crashes to Earth, destroying Itomori. Taki wakes up in the morning of his own time, not remembering anything.

    Five years later

[Taki] became a graduate in Architecture in search of job but had no luck with getting any. He feels that there is something important missing in his life but can't figure it out. Until he learns that the inhabitants of Itomori (Hida region) survived the disaster. He saw two known faces Tessie and Sayaka in a Tokyo restaurant, now engaged, but cannot identify them.

Mitsuah as alsom moved to the city. They pass by each other but never got to see to recognize one another. they always felt each others presence.

One very day, [Taki ]and [Mitsuha] were at a train station heading towards different directions. They got into separate trains minding there business until their trains draw parallel and they recognized each other. They disembark and search for one another, finally meeting on a staircase.

"Your name" is an amazingly bright, very kind and romantic anime created by Makoto Sinkai, who is called the new Hayao Miyazaki. And this is the most commercially successful anime in history.

Her name is Mitsuh Miamiuzu, she lives in a small town a couple of hours drive from Tokyo, goes to school, helps her grandmother and dreams of going to a big city. His name is Taki Tachibana, he is a high school student, is interested in architecture, draws well and dreams of fleeing the city somewhere to the province. One day the characters ... change their bodies.

Yes, "Your name" begins as a banal comedy about the exchange of bodies. With all its attributes, frivolous jokes about the difference of sexes; funny moments in which the characters fall through the fault of each other; Confusion caused by interference in your life of another person, etc. But only "Your name" is not really a romantic comedy, although it is a very romantic film.

Naturally, at some point, characters who exchange notes and sketches on pages of notebooks, as well as messages on other people's phones, decide to meet in reality. Here it turns out that Mizuhu and Taki share not only a couple of hundred kilometers of the railway, but more serious, almost insurmountable obstacles.

Makoto Sinkai has always been a master of the picture, paying great attention to detail, and "Your name" is no exception to this rule. The film is simply amazingly beautifully drawn, it literally can be dragged to screenshots for wallpaper, especially it concerns sketches of nature. However, the detailed interiors of the rooms of Mitsuhi and Taki are also good.

And in this anime there are no negative characters at all. No one. Even the father of Mitsuhi, the mayor of the city in which she lives, who does not pay enough attention to her daughter and does not want to listen to her, is more likely just an allegory of an adult who does not trust a teenager than a negative character. Both Mitsukha, and Taki, and their relatives, friends and girlfriends, are all positive. Just an amazingly positive company, it would seem, where to find conflict here?

Nevertheless, despite such a benevolent environment, there are enough moments in "Your name" when even adult men find it difficult to restrain emotions, unless they are very insensitive robots. Keep this in mind before viewing. Naturally, such a film is worth seeing exclusively in the company of a person who is not indifferent to you. And it's better on the big screen, the picture is worth it.

"Your name" tells a very simple, but very moving story of a young man and a girl who are created for each other, but can not be together. What starts as a comedy ends like a drama. However, miracles happen, even in anime.

PLUSES: A touching story; cute characters; style and quality of drawing MINUSES: No CONCLUSION: One of the brightest, kind and romantic stories told in the anime
