Synopsis: While working as a paramedic in New York City, Cassandra Webb begins to demonstrate signs of clairvoyance. Needing to deal with some problems from her past, she ends up meeting three young girls. Danger knocks on their door when an enemy starts hunting them.

In yet another attempt to establish the creation of a new shared universe (in this case, with Spider-Man stories), Sony bet on the adaptation of a comic book created by the duo Denny O'Neil and John Romita Jr., in 1980, where the main character would be an elderly, blind lady who stays alive in a static way through a connection with a web where she can use her mutant powers (read minds and make astral projections). The result couldn't have been more disastrous (I already imagined something bad, but not that horrible), because absolutely everything about it is pretty bad.

I still can't believe how a script written by six hands, and which had relatively rich base material, could have resulted in something so pathetic. The negative points are countless, and it's even difficult to organize its ideas to comment on as much as possible without saying any spoilers, but here we go. The movie begins with its opening scene full of amateur executions (showing from the beginning that the work of director S.J. Clarkson would compromise the entire project), and without making the slightest effort to change this, everything continues throughout the entire projection.

As the script has no interest in creating situations compatible with what it wants to tell its audience, the plot delves into an infinity of generic elements to try to create narratives that mix drama with comedy (and fails to deliver either one or the other). Using Cassandra's plot to create the bridges that connect all the characters, the script bets on a “maternal” atmosphere to unite all the “heroines” while trying to “develop” them. Nothing works, and what you see on the screen is a succession of many errors (and with very painful dialogues).

Despite having a cast of minimally competent names (and here it is worth mentioning the following names: Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney and Adam Scott), there was nothing they could do to try to bring some credibility to this project. The script is really bad, and despite the correct performances of the vast majority of the cast, what we see in the scenes is a set of poorly developed situations (as well as the plots of their characters), generating a really embarrassing result, which honestly, borders on to the amateurism of beginners. Unbelievable!

Don't expect any solid connection to the comic book universe, and here, I dare say this is a movie about anything but superheroes. The mischaracterization is complete, making this “adaptation” a mistake from its first minutes. Absolutely everything works against the movie, nullifying any strength it could have had throughout its development (which is extremely problematic). Nothing about the mythology is explained (there's not even any mention of it), and Cassandra's origin story is boiled down to practically nothing (something very weak even for an origin story).

Most of the time, the protagonist appears acting as a paramedic and discovering her powers. Everything gets worse when the dynamic between them and the trio of girls begins, because the script gets lost in an unbelievable way. Some situations are so disconnected from reality that it is truly inconceivable to believe that this production was approved by Sony's bosses to be shown in theaters. In summary, the movie can be summarized as a “nanny” from a big city who needs to defend a group of boring and spoiled girls from a villain with a credible motivation.

Speaking of villains, Ezekiel Sims can already be considered one of the worst. Here, he is portrayed here as a figure who wears ridiculous clothes and chases girls without there being a more acceptable explanation (other than self-defense). I wasn't expecting a script with Oscar-worthy narrative insertions, but any decent superhero movie has a motivational aspect that triggers the villains' revenge with more credibility than what can be seen throughout this movie. Tahar Rahim even tried to bring some dignity to this character, but his attempts were null and void.

Madame Web is a perfect example of how not to make a movie adaptation. Not even when talking about action scenes and special effects does the movie manage to deliver some quality entertainment, because what is seen is really a show of mediocrity in terms of creativity (something that also applies to scene editing) and a work very bad special effects considering the company behind this project. Anyway, everything is chaos and of epic proportions, because this movie will always be remembered as one of the worst superhero movies ever made.

Los puntos negativos son innumerables, e incluso cuesta organizar tus ideas para comentar lo máximo posible sin decir spoilers, pero allá vamos. La película comienza con su escena inicial llena de ejecuciones amateurs (mostrando desde el principio que el trabajo del director S.J. Clarkson comprometería todo el proyecto), y sin hacer el más mínimo esfuerzo por cambiar esto, todo continúa durante toda la proyección.

El guión es realmente malo, y a pesar de las correctas actuaciones de la gran mayoría del reparto, lo que vemos en las escenas es un conjunto de situaciones mal desarrolladas (así como las tramas de sus personajes), generando un resultado realmente bochornoso, que sinceramente, roza el amateurismo de los principiantes. ¡Decepcionante!

Algunas situaciones están tan desconectadas de la realidad que resulta verdaderamente inconcebible creer que esta producción haya sido aprobada por los jefes de Sony para ser exhibida en cines. En resumen, la película se puede resumir como una “niñera” de una gran ciudad que necesita defender a un grupo de chicas aburridas y mimadas de un villano con una motivación creíble.

Hablando de villanos, Ezekiel Sims ya puede considerarse uno de los peores. Aquí, se lo retrata como una figura que viste ropa ridícula y persigue chicas sin que haya una explicación más aceptable (aparte de la defensa propia). No esperaba un guión con inserciones narrativas dignas de un Oscar, pero cualquier película de superhéroes decente tiene un aspecto motivacional que desencadena la venganza de los villanos con más credibilidad de lo que se puede ver a lo largo de esta película. Tahar Rahim incluso intentó darle algo de dignidad a este personaje, pero sus intentos fueron nulos.

Madame Web es un ejemplo perfecto de cómo no hacer una adaptación cinematográfica. Ni siquiera cuando se habla de escenas de acción y efectos especiales la película logra entregar algo de entretenimiento de calidad, pues lo que se ve es realmente una muestra de mediocridad en cuanto a creatividad (algo que también se aplica al montaje de escenas) y un trabajo de efectos especiales muy malo considerando la empresa detrás de este proyecto. En fin, todo es un caos y de proporciones épicas, porque esta película siempre será recordada como una de las peores películas de superhéroes jamás realizadas.

O resultado não poderia ter sido mais desastroso (eu já imaginava algo ruim, mas não tão horrível), porque absolutamente tudo nele é bastante ruim.

Em síntese, o filme pode ser resumido a uma “babá” de uma cidade grande que precisa defender um grupo de garotas chatas e mimadas de um vilão em uma motivação crível.

Falando em vilão, Ezekiel Sims já pode ser considerado como um dos piores. Aqui, ele é retratado aqui como uma figura que usa roupas ridículas e persegue garotas sem que haja uma explicação mais aceitável (além da autodefesa). Eu não esperava por um roteiro com inserções narrativas dignas de Oscar, mas qualquer filme de super-herói decente tem um aspecto motivacional que desencadeia uma vingança dos vilões com mais credibilidade do que o que pode ser visto ao longo deste filme. Tahar Rahim até tentou trazer alguma dignidade aa este personagem, mas as tentativas foram nulas.

Madame Teia é um exemplo perfeito de como não fazer uma adaptação cinematográfica. Nem mesmo quando se fala sobre cenas de ação e efeitos especiais o filme consegue entregar algum entretenimento de qualidade, porque o que é visto é mesmo um show de mediocridade em termos de criatividade (algo que se aplica também as edições de cenas) e um trabalho de efeitos especiais bem ruins considerando à empresa por trás deste projeto. Enfim, tudo é um caos e de proporções épicas, porque este filme sempre será lembrado como um dos piores filmes sobre super-heróis já feitos.

This is a series that I have been catching up and while I was going through the images just to make things clear I'm watching and writing about it from a regular viewer who likes action series, I don't take sides or think who is was wrong or right, at this point is history, inaccurate or accurate, its just a TV series, nothing that dictates how I think or live, for all the crystal generation out there.

At this point in time I'm already up to date with all four episodes and very satisfied, I did mention on my previous post from episode one that the series does feel a bit slow pace at first and that I wish air battles were a bit more exciting but its about bombers, they just weather the storm its not about fighters at least yet, it amaze me how some people love to shit on scores.

After four episodes I give this series a solid 7.5/10, I can understand that the story some times feels it jumps too fast into whats next but you will not be able to fit everything whats in the book into a mini series, its not a documentary but a narrated story with probably the most important aspects of what Harry Crosby remember from all the missions he was in and certain events documented around the base.

Episode two another solid one, probably the episode where Crosby start to move into the ranks, other aviators noticing him after a successful mission leading the pack, he was the navigator that guide them, keep in mind that almost everything was done manually back in the day, this bombers were basically dead traps guided by pen and pencil from the navigator.

USA is loosing bombers constantly, every bomber has a ten men on board, every time one goes down is ten men that you wont see ever again all because of war and it hits Bucky, so far he has not been aloud to flight next to his friends and it was Buck first mission who was shocked for what he went through, all Bucky could do was hope Buck gets back form this one.

After not been able to flight and loosing so many friends he goes had a few drinks with Curt until the next morning when he had to meet the new Co. replacing Col. Huglings who had Bucky in the bench.

Cpt. Frank has been promoted after Bucky got demoted, he thinks Bucky was the only one who had to do with it but in fact he was fkn drunk when he talk to Col. Harding, before he got interview it was Buck who recommended Frank to be Air Exec and Bucky as the leader of the squad, everything play out just as Buck and Bucky wanted, all they want is to flight together.

The US Air Forces keep loosing planes, pilots and crew members, either because of pilot mistakes or plain failures or because of war and they are a bit of a short staff at the moment, everything was kept manual they had this big boards to plan things out while some one was taking notes on the side to keep records, every bomber or fort as they call them had a crew that stick together and it was a reminder among them "If I go down we all go down", it was a very tight relationship they build up between them, specially if they flight on the same fort.

Fighting the Germans was the US Air Force and the Royal British Air Force, both with different strategies one a bit more risky than the other but hardly to debate who was more deadly to the enemy, US strike during the day and British. They had this argument while taking some drinks that end up in a boxing match having Curt taking down Pilot Bryan, after mentioning how US will keep continue to loose more men because of their high risk strategy.

The bases was in constant movement even at night, all planes were getting repaired during the day to then be armed during the night while pilots and their crew rest, the reason US could go with precision bombing was because of The Norden Bombsight, a device that let bombers precisely calculate where to drop bombs from a high altitude, it was one of US Air Force most valuable secret during the war.

Col. Hardling in charge thinks will change a bit, Bucky back in the air he gets Lt. Crosby on his first mission replacing Lt. Payne because he is sick, both navigators, the difference is Crosby has never lead the pack, he was always air sick and a bad one, some times people call others lucky the first time they manage to pull off a mission although what happens when they do it over and over? still lucky? it was Crosby first time leading the formation and he did manage to pull it of, can you call lucky all those who survive the war or were they just good at their job?.

The scenes with all the bombers in formation those are crazy when watching in VR, thats why I keep asking for better air battles because must be sick watching all the fighters going at the bombers who can just stand there, I'm sure at some point there will also be US fighters probably as bombers escorts, as I mention above, again Crosby felt sick as fuck but he manage to lead the pack and drop bombs on the target.

On the series it was this mission that got him on Capt. Frank Murphy and Col. Harding sight, they were looking for a new group navigator, since no body knew what went down during their flight except Lt. Douglas sitting next to Crosby; after some talking they ask Crosby to be the new navigator leader after all he got and brought them back from the mission, so again lucky? some times people are so good at their job others cant see farther than just luck when in fact you are that damn good.

I think this was just another great episode, yes missions are not that long, scenes jump from one to another, there are a lot of names and ranks to learn during the series, its definitely not for everyone, this is one of those series I consider for advance viewers, if you are into connecting dots and learning a bunch of characters this is for you but if all you are looking is for air battles and constant action then you will find this series boring, there are just too many characters and they can not be on every single scene, they all cant have big long dialogs every time so to some viewers can feel like they all say so little it means nothing or empty although that's just the way some series are develop, at the same time not for everyone.

From now one we will see a few characters like Cpt. Frank, Major Eagan "Bucky" and Lt. Crosby developing on their new positions, so far for me a great series and it feels fast enough, nothing flashy, even the intro is very smooth, nothing feels rush, only give me more air battles and longer missions.

It seems that Sierra Barter an amateur investigator seeks to uncover whether her step grandfather Jim Mordecai was truly a serial killer convincing authorities to investigate this mystery not only for her family but also for the victims, many times when this kind of cases come to light years latter start to float cases no body knew about, this can then generate certain eager for people who was around Jim investigate deeper on what actually happen, trying to get all the truth.

Skye Borgman, the director of The Truth about Jim is an American filmmaker with a unique focus on the documentary genre particularly true crime, she gained recognition with the documentary film Abducted in Plain Sight telling the strange real life story of the Broberg family from Idaho distributed by Netflix in 2017. Borgman’s first documentary Junk Dreams 2010 received awards at international festivals including the Best Documentary Award at the Bare Bones International Film Festival and the Accolade Excellence Award, another documentary she directed is Girl in the Picture 2022 that tells Sharon Marshall’s story with an unusual feminine sensitivity in the genre, I Just Killed My Dad 2022 explores why Anthony Templet shot his father and never denied it delving into the complex implications of trauma. Borgman is dedicated to creating shocking, shaded and unexpected stories persuading her characters to reveal the darkest corners of their lives, the work of Skye Borgman is a tribute to the maze of human nature trying to understand how people arrive at such dark places and it seems that Borgman’s work has focused on exploring the complexity of human beings and ensuring that the truth always comes to light.

The documentary The Truth about Jim will carry Sierra Barter to try to confirm if her step grandfather was in fact a serial killer. Jim leave a deep mark in his family, a mark of pain that has live with them for many years, now Sierra has brought to light all those memories and will show the viewers a travel of truth, discovery and a lot of traumas. The Truth about Jim is a documentary that will reflect when a family live with a person that it shows to the world like an amazing person but behind those walls when it suppose to be the most lovely person it become just a monster. People will like to see this documentary and find out the truth with Sierra and her family.

I was not around Hive when Tokyo Vice Season 1 came out, never had the chance to cover it so I'm starting on season two, lot have happen but the story continues right where it was as a fact the first scenes does give you the vibes of wtf happen, you need to watch season 1 to get the idea of whats going on. Tokyo Vice is a drama series about a North American, Jake Adelstein; who goes to Japan trying to make his name as a reporter, thing that is extremely hard to do in Japan specially as an outsider, through time he gets involve into a some what love story with an Scort, Samantha; who works at a very luxury bar run by the local mafia, Jake doesn't have the cash and means but he talks a lot, is funny and create a friendship with Sato a Japanese uprising gangster who also likes Samantha.

With this short description you might imagine in what kind of trouble he will get into, at the moment he is investigating the mafia and people around him are starting to die or get hurt badly.

Jake and detective Hiroto are after Tozawa, Jake was given by an anonymous source a tape where a men kills a girl on a yacht room, what looks like an escort service, but there are a couple of things out of place, it seems confusing because the girl, who Jakes knows, Polina; is arguing with a man that looks from the yacht service, she mentions how the other guy hit and push her, the other man loose it and throws her on the floor and start stumping on her, looks like she dead.

The man on the video above, that looks like working as yacht service is the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the yacht is use for luxury escort service and its register under one of Tozawa mistress, Tozawa is a mafia boss that Jake and detective Hiroto are after but he always finds a way out. On the other hand Samantha decided to open her own club and she was giving the blessing from Chihara-Kai yakuza, Sato was suppose to be her direct contact but she has no clue of the recent attack by Tozawa and Sato was hurt badly after when getting into his car by a traitor called Gem, so Samantha is concern that Yakuza now sending her other men to supervise the club, they wont be as patient as Sato.

Its a lot of recap and nothing necessarily new to the story, its a very some what slow pace for the episode if you saw season one, Yakuza look after each other and most of the time ppl dont care about them even the police, it obvious that still at the hospital they are in danger since the killer could come back to finish his job so other Yakuza members pick up Sato from the hospital after his legit brother went to their place looking for him since no body at home can get a hold of him, Yakuza knew there was something wrong so they find him and take him back to their place so they could let him recover and eventually identify the killer.

Going a bit forward with everything happening, Jake is ready to take the tape to his editor so they can go public, this is a big deal since at that time a reputable Japanese Paper wont publish unless they have enough proof and grounds, at the Meisho; they still discuss if this is enough to publish, they all agree to proceed since the girl has been identify and missing on top of the clear shot of the Vice Minister, now all they need is the Vice Minister input before they go public; probably should have done it after making copies and securing the evidence because giving him the chance to comment before that is like putting him on alert and let him do what ever is in his power to get rid of the tape.

Just like that its exactly what happen, the episode at times become predictable but still interesting, Japanese are very strict and Jake still can't get a hold to this part of their culture, he still living the American way, speaking when ever he wants and what ever he wants, he even tries bribe the Vice Minister offering to go slow with him on the publication if he agrees to betray Tozawa as he thinks he works for him, this ends up as an insult for Vice Minister and the Meisho, paper where Jakes work for; that's just not how they do things in Japan, specially not at a reputable paper.

Exactly what I though happen, Vice Minister or Tozawa got rid of the tapes, burning down the office, lucky for the rest of the building firefighters manage to put it out before it extended but all the tapes are gone, original and backups, the same night after the Vice Minister was interview.

Since the Tozawa attack things between clans are not exactly in good terms, when Gem find out that Sato is still alive he tries to bribe Yabuki, second in command of Tozawa; Tozawa is out of the country at the moment, he is very sick but not many people know about it. Gem goes to Yabuki either to switch sides or offer him intel on the Yakuza in exchange of protection, he fear that Sato will look for him, Yabuki sees a great opportunity to make peace with the Yakuza, he is a business man over a killer, he knows having the Yakuza as enemy is not good for business.

Certain events happen in Hiroto life that got him out of balance, he had to send his family away because of death threats most likely from Tozawa since he has been investigating him closely, also a the recent death of fellow detective Miyamoto and his boss find out about their secret investigation on Tozawa putting him off duty, Jake just notify him about the fire at the Meisho, all this makes him go rogue and pays a visit to the Vice Minister getting him to speak the truth about why he was working for Tozawa.

Even though the first episode was more talk than anything else there were certain events that were satisfying for example Yabuki giving up Gem, the burn down of the tape room it was stupid form them to keep all takes inside the building, dealing with a mafia boss there is no safe place so better keep multiple copies but they wanted to do it the right way, the Japanese way playing by the rules but for Tozawa there are no rules the rest was pure drama, I didn't mention how Samantha went out to drink and grief Polina death at some point I thought she was going to get hurt, kidnap or who knows she really went wild that night, Polina was a trouble maker on season one, I'm kinda glad her character is out of the picture.

Tokyo Vice is a great police drama series, I remember stumbling to it and fall for it since first episode, I really can't find anything wrong about it, the series does generate certain scenes that make you feel angry at times which is a good thing.

Lo que parecía una mentira insignificante, se convierte en una bola que no tardará en arrollarla. Mientras tanto tendrá que probar su valía y tratar de sobrevivir en este ambiente despiadado. 

Ana Santos is an art intern, her dream is to open her own gallery, but she won't be able to do it if she doesn't finish her internship and her extremely demanding boss doesn't make it easy for her. En esta época no me puede faltar una comedia romántica para ver y decidí inclinarme por esta película que se encuentra en Prime Video. Me llamó la atención ver que participan varios actores que ya conocía de otras producciones así que no lo dude y le di play.

At this time of the year I can't miss a romantic comedy to watch and I decided to go for this movie that is on Prime Video. It caught my attention to see several actors that I already knew from other productions so I didn't hesitate and I gave it a play.

La película tiene un buen ritmo de entrada, podemos ver la desastrosa vida de Ana y cómo es ser una pasante en este ambiente del arte que parece bastante despiadado y frívolo. Sobre todo, cuando ella de verdad siente pasión por lo que hace y comprende las obras que caen en sus manos. 

The film has a good pace right off the bat, we get to see Ana's disastrous life and what it's like to be an intern in this art environment that seems rather ruthless and frivolous. Especially when she really has a passion for what she does and understands the works that fall into her hands.

Le encontré varios parecidos a otras producciones, es una mezcla entre varias de este estilo que ya vi, como El diablo viste a la moda por la crueldad de la jefa y sus asistentes que la quieren hacer sentir menos, otro poco me hizo acordar a La probabilidad estadística del amor a primera vista, por la parte de que a ella la cambian a primera clase y ahí conoce a Will. Pero también tiene lo suyo, no le voy a quitar mérito.

I found several similarities to other productions, it is a mixture of several of this style that I have already seen, like The Devil Wears Prada because of the cruelty of the boss and her assistants who want to make her feel less, another little reminded me of Love at First Sight, because of the part where she is changed to first class and there she meets Will. But it also has its own thing, I'm not going to detract from it.

Me gustaron los actores, sentí cierta química entre estos dos, pero no me pareció que fuera una buena elección de pareja. Esto tuvo que ver con la apariencia de Will, creo yo, sentí que los trajes y la vida de rico no le sentaban muy bien, como que no encajaban del todo con su personalidad y no lo sentí tan cómodo en este género. A ella sí, pero no me creí tanto esta pareja. No pegan. No hay vuelta que darle. 

I liked the actors, I felt some chemistry between these two, but I didn't think it was a good choice of couple. This had to do with Will's appearance, I think, I felt that the suits and the rich life didn't suit him very well, like it didn't quite fit his personality and I didn't feel him as comfortable in this genre. She did, but I didn't buy into this pairing as much. They don't fit. There's no way around it.

Esto no quita que no me gustará. No es de lo mejor que vi pero me resultó entretenida y la pude disfrutar de todos modos. Necesitaba algo de este estilo. Hace varios findes en los que estoy viendo otras películas y series que tengo pendientes, ya extrañaba mirar alguna romcom. Aunque sí estuvo floja por el lado del romance, no me gustó mucho esa parte. 

That doesn't mean I didn't like it. It's not the best I saw but I found it entertaining and enjoyed it anyway. I needed something of this style. It's been several weekends since I've been watching other movies and series that I have pending, I missed watching a romcom. Although it was weak on the romance side, I didn't really like that part.

Así que si quieren una romcom de esas empalagosas donde los protagonistas viven una historia de amor digna de un cuento de hadas, con frases para tomar nota y recitárselas a su amor, esta no es la indicada. Pero es ligera y entretenida, ideal para desconectar un rato.

So if you want one of those cloying romcoms where the protagonists live a love story worthy of a fairy tale, with phrases to take notes and recite them to your love, this is not the one. But it is light and entertaining, ideal to disconnect for a while.

A mediados de los 90' decidí ver "VIVEN", una película la cual no tenía conocimiento de su historia y pensaba que era una aventura de un grupo de personas que deberían sobrevivir en un duro viaje por montañas heladas; no estaba del todo equivocado en mi opinión, pero la realidad es que eso era una porción de una historia fuerte, basada en un hecho real y justamente esa importante característica la había obviado por no tener conocimiento de ese terrible accidente; eso me desconectó del film y del cual tengo vagos recuerdos; al pasar tantos años y de saber la historia de lo que ocurrido en Los Andes, es momento de ver este nuevo film basado en ese accidente, pero con una perspectiva diferente.

In the mid 90's I decided to see "VIVEN", a film which I had no knowledge of its history and I thought it was an adventure of a group of people who should survive in a hard journey through icy mountains; I was not entirely wrong in my opinion, but the reality is that it was a portion of a strong story, based on a real event and just that important feature I had ignored because I had no knowledge of that terrible accident; That disconnected me from the film and of which I have vague memories; having spent so many years and knowing the story of what happened in Los Andes, it is time to see this new film based on that accident, but with a different perspective.

"The Snow Society", a Netflix original production, a film which received an Oscar nomination for Best International Film on behalf of Spain and which just days ago was proclaimed winner of up to thirteen Goya Awards, tells the story of the events that occurred in October 1972, when a plane carrying the Rugby team "Old Christians Club" from Montevideo, Uruguay, crashes in Los Andes and from that moment the story of a group of young people will turn into drama, terror and despair, but despite all serious obstacles, they must do the impossible to maintain the hope of being saved or to save themselves.

Esta nueva película basada en el accidente aereo y sus sobrevivientes, fue dirigido por J. A. Bayona, quien tiene experiencia en dirigir películas basadas en hechos reales como por ejemplo fue "The Impossible" (2012); en este nuevo film tiene el esplendor de contar con hermosos y terroríficos escenarios para el relato de tan fuerte historia; Bayona nos muestra la dura situación de los sobrevivientes y su lucha contra la naturaleza que se convierte en un poderoso enemigo, pero no solamente es eso, también desde el lente de su cámara podemos observar el cambio radical de cada uno de los personajes de esta historia, cambio físico, psicológico, su obligada adaptación a un lugar y por supuesto los ataques que van recibiendo mientras transcurre los días sin ser salvados; es un trabajo formidable, poderoso, desesperanzador y a la vez lleno de esperanza y es que con sus imágenes potencia un relato profundo de esos acontecimientos.

El guion escrito por Bayona, junto a Bernat Vilaplana, Jaime Marques y Nicolás Casariego, hace que quienes ven la película conozcan mejor a las víctimas y sobrevivientes; es un breve, pero justo uso del tiempo en escena de cada uno de los personajes los que nos hace que en momentos específicos mientras transcurre el film, tengamos ese sentimiento de conexión y los que nos hace parte de la necesidad, de pensar si está bien o no lo que hicieron, de ser parte de la perdida de la cordura, de su tristeza, desesperación, la perdida total de toda esperanza y por supuesto, de la hermandad entre todos; eso desde el punto de vista de algunos de los sobrevivientes lo cual con su relato hace magnífica está historia.

This new film based on the plane crash and its survivors, was directed by J. A. Bayona, who has experience in directing films based on real events as for example was "The Impossible" (2012); in this new film he has the splendor of having beautiful and terrifying scenarios for the telling of such a strong story; Bayona**_ shows us the harsh situation of the survivors and their struggle against nature that becomes a powerful enemy, but not only that, also from the lens of his camera we can observe the radical change of each of the characters in this story, physical, psychological change, their forced adaptation to a place and of course the attacks they are receiving as the days go by without being saved; it is a formidable, powerful, hopeless and yet full of hope work and is that with its images power a profound account of these events.

The script written by Bayona, together with Bernat Vilaplana, Jaime Marques and Nicolás Casariego, makes those who see the film get to know the victims and survivors better; It is a brief, but fair use of time in the scene of each of the characters that makes us, in specific moments during the film, have that feeling of connection and makes us part of the need to think if it is right or not what they did, to be part of the loss of sanity, of their sadness, despair, the total loss of all hope and of course, of the brotherhood among all; that from the point of view of some of the survivors, which with their story makes this story magnificent.

Las actuaciones son muy buenas, en especial las de Enzo Vogrincic quien interpreta a "Numa Turcatti", un joven hombre con mucho por vivir y por lo que se muestra en esta historia, pareciera que fue un hombre con convicción fuerte, con la necesidad de ayudar, de aportar a un grupo de personas muy unidas y que él puso ser considerado como un igual; la historia se relata desde su punto de vista por un buen tiempo y eso me pareció magnífico, correcto porque ayuda a tomar posición sobre todo lo que deben hacer para sobrevivir y de como deben vivir con eso. Otro personaje que toma el relevo de la narrativa es el de "Roberto Canessa" interpretado por Matías Recalt; un personaje que por su aspecto pareciera tener una definición de débil, pero la realidad es que es el más ágil y más centrado de todos; es un líder, aunque también da la sensación de pensar primero en él y después de los demás, pero creo que desde su vocación por la medicina, le hace pensar en ser directo y no crear falsas esperanzas; su narrativa es dura y seca, nada conciliatoria como la de Nando, pero de igual manera es la adecuada para un momento en específico de la película.

The performances are very good, especially those of Enzo Vogrincic who plays "Numa Turcatti", a young man with a lot to live for and from what is shown in this story, it seems that he was a man with strong conviction, with the need to help, to contribute to a group of very united people and that he put to be considered as an equal; the story is told from his point of view for a good time and that seemed to me magnificent, right because it helps to take position on everything they must do to survive and how they must live with that. La Sociedad de la Nieve me sorprendió mucho, superó mis expectativas al ser una historia que te engancha desde un primer momento; es una historia dura, desgarradora, triste, con muchos elementos de terror, drama y por supuesto de sobrevivencia; esas características son tan bien usadas en esta producción que la hacen magnífica y de por supuesto es una de las mejores películas que he visto en este año que apenas comienza. Sé que muchas personas ya han visto este film, pero sin ninguna duda quien no lo haya hecho debería darle oportunidad, es una historia tan bien relatada que a pesar de ser basada en un hecho real, lo importante es como usa el sufrimiento por el accidente, la desesperación, pero aún más primeramente por la culpa y después por ser víctima de la situación que están viviendo que le hace perder toda sanidad mental para hacer lo posible para sobrevivir; sé que existe dificultad en la competencia para ganar el Oscar a Mejor Película Internacional, pero si llega a obtener ese premio, solo puedo decir que sería justo ganador.

The Snow Society surprised me a lot, it exceeded my expectations as it is a story that hooks you from the first moment; it is a hard story, heartbreaking, sad, with many elements of terror, drama and of course survival; those characteristics are so well used in this production that make it magnificent and of course it is one of the best films I have seen in this year that has just begun. I know that many people have already seen this film, but without a doubt anyone who has not seen it should give it a chance, it is a story so well told that despite being based on a real event, the important thing is how it uses the suffering of the accident, the desperation, but even more firstly because of the guilt and then for being a victim of the situation they are living that makes them lose all mental sanity to do everything possible to survive; I know there is difficulty in the competition to win the Oscar for Best International Film, but if it gets that award, I can only say that it would be a fair winner.

The New Look is a TV Series set in the post war Paris and will be leading the viewers into the life of the fashion icon Christian Dior and his rivals from Chanel to Pierre Balmain, Cristobal Balenciaga and more. The series is going to show the workshop, designs and clothing created by Christian Dior while is going to explore themes of resistance, creativity, innovation and a conflict in the fashion industry. While Europe is devastated by war Dior and his contemporaries are going to fight in a different way creating a huge world in fashion industry and leaving a mark that since today.

Todd A. Kessler is a writer, producer, director and is the mastermind behind Apple TV+’s new series The New Look. Kessler started as a playwright gaining recognition when he wrote and produced the second and third season of the HBO series The Sopranos TV series that shows the cruelty of the mafia boss Tony Soprano and how he balance his criminal activities with his family life, for The Sopranos Kessler gained fame and recognition. Also Kessler co-created with Daniel Zelman and his brother Glenn Kessler the TV Series Damage series that received multiple nominations and receiving a Golden Globe in 2008 for Best Performance by an Actress in TV Series Drama to Glenn Close even though Kessler didn’t won itself his work was highly praised for its narrative and stellar performances. Kessler then ventured into the streaming world with the Netflix series Bloodline 2015 further solidifying his reputation and working again with Daniel Zelman. Kessler has had various nominations for the Emmy and Golden Globe awards demonstrating his passion for his art.

Based on some review sites seems that the critics agrees that The New Look is a series that will captivate the audience for its great story and stellar cast, a good direction and a great production also the good performance of all the cast. One of the most remarkable things in the story is the attention to every single detail it will make viewers feel the reality of the haute couture showing that the TV series is going to be more than a fashion series it wants to tell a story about reflection, perseverance in difficult times and of course how innovation and creativity can be a powerful force for change also will show drama, intrigue, life after a post war France, conflict between designers trying to bring something new, fresh and through that path they are going to fight to be the best.

Ben Mendelsohn takes on the role of Christian Dior with almost 40 years of acting experience demonstrating his versatility in every role he perform one of his notable performances was in Animal Kingdom 2010 and in his role in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story 2016 for both performances he received praise and captivated the audience.

Juliette Binoche a French actress plays the role of the iconic Coco Chanel with elegance, talent and charisma making her perfect for the role. She has demonstrated her versatility in a wide range of films including The English Patient where she won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1996.

Maisie Williams goes as Catherine Dior daughter of Christian Dior she is best known for her performance as Arya Stark in the claimed HBO Series Game of Thrones, she has a great ability to impress the audience with her acting skills and has also excelled in independent cinema in films like The Falling 2014 and The Owners 2020.

John Malkovich brings his distinctive presence to the character of Lucien Lelong setting the bar higher for the series with his talent he has established himself as a versatile figure in memorable performances in films such as Being John Malkovich 1999, Dangerous Liaisons 1988 and In the Line of Fire 1993 in addition to being a writer, producer, director with several decades in the industry and also a fashion designer a field that contribute for his knowledge to play his role in this series.

Emily Mortimer as Elsa Lombardi bringing warmth to the character. She is an actress that star her career in theater and then moved to TV and movies she has worked in different productions such as Nothing Hill 1999, The Newsroom 2012 and Mary Poppins Returns 2018.

Claes Bang completes the cast in the role of Hans Von Dincklage he received lots of compliments for his performance in The Square 2017 and the European Film Award for Best Actor being the first Danish actor in win this prize he has also appeared in projects like The Girl in the Spider’s Web 2018 and Dracula a Netflix and BBC TV Series with his experience he will giving a marvelous performance in this new role.

The New Look promises to be an entertainment option for those who enthusiasts that love fashion and the history in all of it. Viewers will find a combination of drama, intrigue, glamour, conflict and a power of self discovery for all the designers of that era. Also the image of the post war will be a contrast in the story were people is trying to rise from ashes to a new colorful time. The series may serve as a fictional representation of historical events its important to highlight that perseverance and innovation remain timeless always as a reminder of the permanent influence of many iconic figures in the fashion industry like Christian Dior and Coco Chanel that are the main characters in this story, there are a lot of expectations from viewers that the series will fit the story and make justice to all this fashion icons.

I have mention many times before that I'm no expert when it comes to the Halo story, before the season started there were some articles online who mention this time around season 2 they will listen more to fans and focus on the story, not sure what that means if they going to stick with the game story but ratings are not that bad considering all the drama with Master Chief keeping his helmet off. From a average viewer I got to say I still consider Halo a very entertaining series, season 2 is starting with some context to season 1 when Master Chief believe he sees Makee again during a Covenant attack but no body can prove, he sees himself against everyone specially now that every one knows he took his pill off, the one that stop him from developing feelings; entire Silver Team is off the pill and other Spartans are showing into the story, I do expect season 2 to be awesome with all the invasion theme going around. You might find episode 1 a bit slow but there still some awesome Spartan speed and strength show off but mostly drama.

Episode starts with Silver Team and Master Chief securing a planet that they have intel might be attack by the Covenant, its funny how you got an entire army of marines but just a few Spartans, probably why they getting other Spartans into the story on season 2, as usual on this planet there are some villagers who refuse to leave and there is agitation between marines and villagers not following orders until Master Chief comes down trying to get things in order.

Small marines squad has remain offline without reason, Master Chief has a hunch there is something going on and declare evac to all villagers, here is the first action scene where Master Chief shows what a Spartan is made up running and climbing a mountain like its nothing. Since Silver Team is off the pill they now have conversations even joke around, its funny because Vannak has turn more "intellectual" and Kai seem to keep trolling him every time she can.

Master Chief arrive the top of the hill only to find it full of fog, got the comms team who was lost and they start to be pick up one by one, only Corporal Perez makes it out because Master Chief protects her if not they would be slaughter like it was nothing, they both alone without reinforcement close and no comms, dozens of Covenant Warriors surrounding them but from one second to another they just bail and all they see are their laser blades going off one by one in the fog, its like someone with lot of authority gave the order to let them go or they felt he doesn't deserve to die like this, Covenant Warriors fight for honor, they are from a fighting raze.

Master Chief ones again trap into politics and ranks, he keeps trying to explain it doesn't make sense to invade a planet and then glass it out, its like they wanted to fight to train themself and test weapons but no body believe him specially when he is not the same after taking his pill off, bureaucracy gets in the way and Spartans has lost grip after Dr. Halsey found guilty for many "unauthorized" experiments, then ran away.

James Ackerson is Dr. Halsey replacement, he is front of ONI who is giving orders when it comes to intel, they tell who goes where and basically whats the truth, this guy either working with the Covenant or too blind because of the power he has been giving that he cant considerate Master Chief is right.

Corporal Talia Perez who was up at the hill with Master Chief when they almost got slaughter, she was interview and reports say she could not verify what Master Chief mention, probably will get more context about this on episode two since Master Chief wont let her lie or denied things after he save her ass.

This is the scene that proof all Silver Team is off the pill when Kai and Riz snap a bit on other Spartans after they are called "mommy's favorite" referring to Dr. Halsey not been there anymore, it also show other Spartans on the scene this been Val-015, Karim and there is a women I could not pick her name, they are Cobalt team who are send to check whats going on with a Comms relay that went down, they expecting no fight but Master Chief advice to keep it real, peal their eyes because he thinks its the same situation again, Covenant probably setting bait.

Sorem shows up on season two, as usual King of Pirates, he is setting up a small mission to pick up on a ship that some how got damage and there is some cargo inside, small drama letting his wife and son that everything will be alright until he gets arrested when he gets to the wrecked space ship, his crew either was infiltrated or a traitor within them, episode ends there without much context to how he gets betrayed.

Episode one of season two was very entertaining, its the classic first episode of a season giving context, connecting where season one left, introducing new characters to the series, a bit of action on the first scenes when Master Chief wipes out a few Coventant Warriors, it also leaves me thinking whats going to happen between Perez and Master Chief now that she has been basically showoff like a trophy for the marines been the only survivor and some how used to shadow the Spartans? again lots of politics involve as in season one just from a different character.

What would you be capable of doing in order to get money, to have your luxuries and comforts, how far would you go in order to survive.

Que serias capaz de hacer con tal de conseguir dinero, tener tus lujos y comodidades, hasta qué punto llegarías, con tal de sobrevivir.

Many say that money does not bring happiness, this is where I tell them, so if you get sick, and you need to have an operation, but you have no money, how do you do, you let yourself die, you prefer to die happy than to have the money to continue living?

Sadly, we are in a world where everything moves if you have money, even to breathe you need it, to eat, to treat yourself, to travel, for everything, it is like that, and if you don't have it, you don't live well, you are not comfortable, you spend anguish thinking about how you are going to get the money you need; I say this from my experience, this is my day to day, and I am not lying, with the subject of the operation, I need to have one, and well, the blessed money, not to say the bad, because having money is not bad, on the contrary, it helps, if I had it, I would not be suffering from my pain, my discomfort, well, that is another story, which is not the case.

It is quite an intriguing film, with characters out of their minds, like a whirlwind, a bit dense, but you can't deny that it had great performances, as you can see the great Cris Evans, I don't care what role he plays, for me he is perfect... Their obsession becomes convergent with the new world they create, which in this case is the “insect world” that no one sees.

The narrative has a dark, efficient and engaging development. Even though the pace is somewhat slow at times, the ends justify the means when the script unleashes its full dramatic potential focused on a psychological plot of frightening proportions. The dynamic between Ashley Judd and Michael Shannon is excellent. Both manage to build great characters throughout the movie, and have very interesting dramatic conflicts. The presence of Harry Connick Jr. ends up being disposable, because his character ends up not being explored as well.

Being a movie with few characters and few settings, the script's effort to create situations where there is no time to create boring situations is notable. Essentially, this is a movie about the characters and not about the plots themselves. The story follows an obedient damsel who agrees to marry a prince only to realize it was all a trap, betrayed by her husband’s family she is offered as a sacrifice to settle an ancestral debt and finds herself in a dangerous cave facing a fire spitting dragon. Unarmed only with her will to survive she must confront the beast and figure out a way to stay alive. The main role actress is played by Millie Bobby Brown as Princess Elodi, who in the cave decides to tear appart her dress and prepare to face the creature with a sword. She discovers that other women had been locked up there previously and it seems that none of them had left but no matter what she is decided to face the dragon win and return with the victory to her kingdom.
