My approach to the work of filmmaker Rebecca Zlotowski was with two films, Grand Central and Une Fille Facile, the latter I remember I reviewed three years ago and I had mixed feelings, but I had the opportunity to give it a second viewing in which I could better appreciate the work of this director and her style, for which I feel a pleasant attraction as a lover of stories.

I am attracted to films that explore human relationships. Motivations, causes, decisions, relationships, emotions, consequences. The art of narrating the everyday provokes pleasant sensations in me, because it shows situations that happen every day to thousands of people, making it closer to our reality.

I understand that many viewers may find this type of cinema boring. They want to see a big Hollywood star destroying a bad guy who wants to take over the world, their superhero saving the world, after destroying whole cities, explosions, cars in space, blue creatures saving their world from a villain, etc. I enjoy some movies like that too, but my favorites will be the smaller, earthier stories.

Mi acercamiento a la obra de la cineasta Rebecca Zlotowski fue con dos películas, Grand Central y Une Fille Facile, esta última recuerdo que la reseñé hace tres años y tuve sensaciones encontradas, pero tuve la oportunidad de darle un segundo visionado en el que pude apreciar mejor el trabajo de esta directora y su estilo, por el que siento una grata atracción como amante de las historias.

Me atraen las películas que exploran las relaciones humanas. Motivaciones, causas, decisiones, relaciones, emociones, consecuencias. El arte de narrar lo cotidiano provoca en mí sensaciones agradables, porque muestra situaciones que ocurren a diario a miles de personas, haciéndolo más cercano a nuestra realidad.

Comprendo que muchos espectadores puedan encontrar aburrido este tipo de cine. Quieren ver a una gran estrella de Hollywood destruyendo a un malo que quiere dominar el mundo, a su superhéroe salvando el mundo, después de destruir ciudades enteras, explosiones, coches en el espacio, criaturas azules salvando su mundo de un villano, etc. Yo también disfruto con algunas películas así, pero mis favoritas serán las historias más pequeñas y terrenales.

Loving relationships between adults when one of them is in the process of divorce and has a young daughter. This is how the plot of this film could be summarized, but this starting point serves to explore a set of experiences and emotions with which many viewers will feel identified, either from their own experience or because they have family or friends in similar processes.

The story unfolds from the female point of view. Rachel's character is the common thread, we are silent witnesses of her longings, dreams, frustrations and liberation. She is a woman in her forties, with little chance of getting pregnant. Does she really want to? Or does she only think so because family social pressure demands it? Even in this day and age there are comments about women who have not been able to have children for multiple reasons or because they just didn't want to. What's the problem?

They will never really be yours and you have to respect boundaries. Of course, you can get attached and care for them as if they were your own, but you should never forget that they have a mother or father and will obviously prefer them to a stranger. Of course, every situation can be different. In this case, I am referring to what is presented in the film, where Rachel has a loving relationship and plans for the future with Ali, a man contemporary to her, who is separating from his wife Alice, with whom he has a young daughter who is almost five years old. To all this must be added the cultural difference of this story developed in France with viewers from different countries.

Relaciones amorosas entre adultos cuando uno de ellos está en proceso de divorcio y tiene una hija pequeña. Así podría resumirse el argumento de esta película, pero este punto de partida sirve para explorar un conjunto de vivencias y emociones con las que muchos espectadores se sentirán identificados, bien por experiencia propia o porque tienen familiares o amigos en procesos similares.

La historia se desarrolla desde el punto de vista femenino. El personaje de Rachel es el hilo conductor, somos testigos mudos de sus anhelos, sueños, frustraciones y liberación. Es una mujer de unos cuarenta años, con pocas posibilidades de quedarse embarazada. ¿Realmente quiere? ¿O sólo lo cree porque la presión social familiar se lo exige? Incluso en esta época se hacen comentarios sobre mujeres que no han podido tener hijos por múltiples razones o porque simplemente no querían. ¿Cuál es el problema?

Nunca serán nuestros hijos. Tienes que tener muy clara una cosa cuando entablas una relación amorosa a largo plazo con alguien que tiene hijos. Nunca serán realmente tuyos y hay que respetar los límites. Por supuesto, puedes encariñarte y cuidarlos como si fueran tuyos, pero nunca debes olvidar que tienen una madre o un padre y que, obviamente, los preferirán a un extraño. Por supuesto, cada situación puede ser diferente. En este caso, me refiero a lo que se presenta en la película, donde Rachel mantiene una relación amorosa y planes de futuro con Ali, un hombre contemporáneo a ella, que se está separando de su mujer Alice, con la que tiene una hija pequeña de casi cinco años. A todo esto hay que añadir la diferencia cultural de esta historia desarrollada en Francia con espectadores de diferentes países.

I don't think, I'm certain this is the most brutal episode I have seen on this series so far, season two of The Wheel of Time pick up the pace episode by episode, as always I'm just a regular viewer, not an expert and have no opinion about the books, I'm not the reading guy but still here I'm writing a blog.

On episode two you will fell the pain and agony of some of the characters, I think at some point even Rand shows how impotent he feels with all this power but still has no clue how to use it or control it, on the other hand there is Egwene how now has a better understanding how to weave and use The One Power but unfortunately she falls into the hands of the Seanchan, given as a Damane to Renna who now controls the leash and now way to escape from her d'ama, a device so powerful that can't be broken and looks like it feeds from the power of the damane protecting the sul'dam, the one holding the leash in this case Renna, I mention all this about Egwene because she is the one that turns the jets on this episode.

Episode six is like the season exploded in pieces, like it was holding so much information and now even though there are scenes that only have a couple of minutes it goes one after another in an adrenaline rush that you keep asking for more drama, for more fight, more blood, more use of the one power, it is this moment when more than one character shows their power but I think the main reason is been so expose to an enemy like the Seanchan. As I mention there is a rush of feelings going on through the episode because other characters like Liandrin, Ryma, Maigan, Siuan, they all suffer one way of another, some are even torture, broken from the inside once they are under the leash, episode six is really a jewel of season two.

On episode five Moiraine understood that Rand doesn't need her protection, Selene/Lanfear is in love with him, that's their never ending story, both are entities that reincarnate in the case of Rand although Lanfear never dies she can only be contain so she does remember every time this exact same thing happens, every time the Dragon is Reborn and at some moment in his life she meets him again, the most easy way for Rand to contact Lanfear is in the world of dreams but she feels Lanfear is going to hurt him or worst kill him, Rand is outgun at Lanfear world of dreams but he is safe, Lanfear wants him with her, for her, so he can trust her, she wont hurt him in exchange Rand ask her to help him in Ishamael to that she puts one condition, NO MOIRAINE.

Lanfear explicitly tells Rand that if she sees Moiraine next to him she will kill her so he had to go away, from her house, Rand feels now that more than ever he needs to wild his power and be able to control it, some times Moiraine is a bitch too, he will visit the only man who can teach him, Logain; but then she told him SHE put him away from the Tower so he never be able to teach him but that's not true, Logain knows now that all this happening, him and Rand at the same place its Moiraine's work.

Thanks to Moiraine now Lanfear can reach Rand anytime he sleeps, he keeps having nightmares of how he keels everyone he loves, at least that the curse of men who wild The One Power, Ishamael is also a dream walker and torment Rand but Lanfear protects him now, she even grand him a wish, she ask Rand who he would like to see and he ask for Egwene, Lanfear shows him the cell she is in, she looks beaten, no shows, desperate and Egwene can hear him but cant see him, this broke him and now is determine to safe her. Lanfear gets jealous when he ask her where Egwene is but still tells him Ishamael got her and THATS when Rand makes a pact with the devil, he tells Lanfear he will do anything to rescue her basically asking Lanfear help me and I'm yours.

Talking about making pacts with the devil there are a few rules, first rule is you can't take it back if you try you will suffer the concurrences and most of the time before you get what you ask for you will go through a series of extreme suffering that will leave a permanent mark in your soul.

This is exactly what happens to Liandrin when Lanfear pays her a visit, I think Lanfear doesn't know all the details of Ishamael plans and knows Liandrin is working for him, although the oath was not to Ishamael but to the Dark, she kills Liandin's son Aludran in front of her, a way to bully the powerful Liandrin, showing her she is not on the same league as Lanfear, then she tells Liandrin "there are many paths to walk through the night" , I think what she is trying to tell Liandrin is that she doesn't work for Ishamael but for the Dark, in this case Liandrin represents the Dark Power while Ishamael is just a messenger, I'm sure Lanfear is doing all this to help Rand, Lanfear is on the same side as Ishamael but doesn't work with or for him.

Lets get to the meat and potatoes of episode six, Renna and Egwene. Renna is a Seanchaw in Falme, I always say I'm ok with inconsistencies and in this case looking up who was Renna I find out a particular fact online about the book, Renna held Egwene leash after she was collar and on the series she let Egwene kept her name but on the book she didn't she change Egwene name to Tuli and some other details that are different in the story, point been Renna was Egwene's d'man who really wanted to be on Egwene good side so they can be one making them the strongest couple in the entire army but Egwene refuse and kept trying to release her.

Renna kept trying to be on Egwene good side and one day show her how powerful they can be together, that was the first time they channel together, Renna must have some kind of power too, probably she cant channel as Egwene but there is something between them or its just the collar and the leash that creates the bridge between them, Egwene felt it but she also felt something else and I think it was Renna help, I still believe that she can some how channel but may be they were not though how to. On the series not many details are given on how exactly the a'dam work only the obvious.

The A'dam is design to protect the one holding the leash, you know how you can also sin of though, well the a'dam very well brings that to life, the Damane cant get her hands on anything she thinks can use to damage her sul'dam, Renna test for Egwene was very simple, serve me a glass of water, Egwene constantly failed, she has to be pure of though before she can even serve Renna a glass of water, on the next cell was Maigan Sedai who was send by the Amyrlin Seat to scout the Seanchan but eventually got caught and collar, she mention how Egwene lasted more than her and she was a Blue Ajah, to become a Damane they have to be pure of though against her sul'dam, this break Egwene soul the moment she was able to serve Renna a glass of water.

When Nynaeve and Elayne escape from High Lady Suroth after been betrayed by Liandrin, they went after Egwene ending in Falme where Ryma Sedai got them first before the Seanchaw army who was looking for them through the city and kept patrolling the city looking for any infiltrates, Nynaeve tells Ryma about Liandrin how she is friends with the dark and have broken her oath, she also tells about Egwene been collar and want to rescue but Ryma makes them aware of the collar that so far no one have broke out of it, the three Ryma, Nynaeve and Elayne channel together without pushing too much power into the collar so others Damane cant detect them, the only one who felt something more was Nynaeve she actually understand the collar, its like the collar is ill or curse and the only way to be fix or heal is by putting it to a women, in this case a women that channel and it CAN NOT be broken.

The local patrol discover their hide out, they felt the power, both Ryma and her warden Basan sacrifice themself trying to stop the Seanchan before they discover Nynaeve and Elayne, this fight was also very brutal both when Ryma explode in tears after Basan was killed, how she almost turn into a ball the Sul'dan that killed him but they were out number, after so long she finally would join her sister Maigan Sedai after been collar.

Rand is about to go to Falme and rescue Egwene, he knows Ishamael will be waiting for him that's why he got his hands on Egwene, probably he was only willing to get Nynaeve and drag Rand to flame after capturing her through Liandrin but he end up with Egwene that would still work for him, Rand visits Logain so he could teach him how to channel but its too little time and too soon, channeling is something that takes time and in the case of Rand he needs to be very careful if you will blow into dust after taking too much power, on this scene Logain only tells him the start but Rand goes further taking too much power and ends up puking, this was very lame in my opinion because right after this he decides to still rescue Egwene knowing he is no match for Ishamael and has no control over his powers.

Mat is now in Cairhien after Min brought him, she was instructed by Liandrin and Ishamael in exchange she ask him to get rid of her visions, all her life her visions were curse that make her life miserable after been used as a fortune teller since she was a kid, not only that but seen other people die before they even get to know each other, she saw Mat killing Rand and still betray him. Mat and Rand found each other in the streets on Cairhein then had a drink but Rand had to tell him the truth because he was in a hurry, so both agree to got to Falme and rescue Egwene, another stupid idea, the two will safe Egwene from a place flooded by Seanchan besides the fact that is Ishamael is waiting for them.

Mat agrees with Rand to meet at the gate in one hour, before Mat leaves with Rand he visits Min to let her know but she is drunk, she was visited by Ishamael, he ask her to make sure Mat leaves with Rand and realize they both know about her vision, Ishamael break their deal and ask her to do this one last thing, she gets drunk and when Mats get to tell her he is leaving with Rand tells him the truth, Mats is broken, after loosing everything and his friends he is and feels betrayed by Min who he truly consider a friend, Mat doesn't have a good record when feeling down, the last time he felt this way end up been consume by the dark power inside a knife and that's what I thought it was going to happen because Min vision is that Mat kills Rand with the knife but no body knows when, where and why, Mat gets pissed off and leaves the room but never left Cairhein with Rand who after waiting more than an hour decides to leave without Mat.

The Amyrlin Seat, Siaun Sanche, leader of the Aes Sedai arrive to Cairhein after Lan confess to her about Moiraine plans that she have found The Dragon Reborn, he betray Moiraine trust by doing this but he was trying to protect her from herself, Moiraine was decided to die if necessary to protect Rand but without the help of The White Tower, she didn't want them to cage him like an animal and use him as a weapon, when The Amyrlin Seat knows she put together fourteen Aes Sedai in Cairhein a very unusual move but her plan is to capture Rand for this she brings all her sister's power in case Rand turns out to be more skill than she thought.

I have seen longer posts on Hive but this is a new record for me, not all of this is part of my imagination as I'm just giving my opinion on the different scenes. Episode six of The Wheel of Time feels as I mention, very brutal specially the scenes of Liandrin loosing her son, how Lanfear catch her Liandrin attack when she got into the room like it was nothing, that moment she knows there is no chance she can even touch Lanfear after all she is one of the most dangerous and powerful forsaken and then had to watch how Lanfear kills her son, the reason why she betray her sisters and broke her oath, because if we think about it yes Liandrin doesnt like anyone at the white tower and if it was for her she would be in charge and only Red Aes Sedai existed but wouldn't betray them if it wasn't for her son that was dying so seen Lanfear kill him broke Liandrin badly, Lanfear also remind her of why she doesn't like men and its because she was force to get married very little basically abuse by men at a very young age that's why she hate so much men specially those that can channel like Logain. All the scenes where Egwene was force against her will to obey, act and thought, was very difficult to digest, all that power contain, how she feels incapable of doing anything to get free of the collar, every time she tries to take it off, attack Renna or even get close to her or touch something she might think to use against Renna the collar push her making her twist and puke out of pain, ironically Renna kept trying to be "her friend" even showing her how powerful they can be together but at the same time treating Egwene as her powerful pet on a leash and the moment when she finally serve the cup and then screams out of her lungs. Episode six reveal many details of both sides plans:

• Lan tells The Amyrlin Seat, Moiraine plans and about Rand (The Dragon Reborn)
• Lanfear gets on Rand side, helping him against Ishamael
• Lanfear gets Liandrin to work for her and not Ishamael
• Ryma learns about Liandrin treason, even probably why her sisters got caught at Falme
  • It was Liandrin who kept talking about the invation and probably why Ryma end up in Falme
• Mat finally knows Min set him up to meet with Rand

It was secret after secret reveal almost every scene, not much fighting and action happen across the episode except for Ryma and her warden fighting the Seanchan army so I guess the next two episodes will have more fighting and action, even some more treason between sides, there were some scenes that I didn't mention because I felt they were not as important, for example there as an argument between Moiraine and her sister about her been Moiraine and not giving a shit about anyone when she is busy, also how Lan was basically force to tell the truth about why he wanted to go to Cairhein that was to visit Moiraine but when Alanna and her two warden threat to kill him if he didn't tell the truth Lan gave up so they caught up with The Amyrlin Seat, it was not on her plans to visit Cairhein and setup such a great force of all her sisters until she knew The Dragon Reborn was probably there, Lan snitching on Moiraine was very shitty of him because one way or another he betray her trust, you got to sink with the ship when it comes to trust.

En este 2023 se ha visto qué películas del género de acción han estado bien representadas por el estreno de producciones que son parte de exitosas franquicias que tienen como particularidad que son protagonizadas por estrellas del cine; me refiero a películas como "John Wick", "Mission: Impossible" y "The Equalizer", siendo esta última la que menos expectativas me había creado, pero después de por fin ver su tercer film, primeramente diré que me ha sorprendido.

"The Equalizer 3", tercer y posiblemente último film de esta franquicia; nos relata una nueva manera de hacer justicia por parte de "Robert McCall" quien en esta oportunidad no se encuentra en Norteamérica, sino en Europa, en especial en la región sur de Italia en dónde parece que ha encontrado un lugar propicio para vivir en plena tranquilidad, pero la naturaleza de quién es "Roberto", lo hace estar cerca del peligro o de personas peligrosas, inescrupulosas, criminales que solo viven para crear terror en personas inocentes y es ese momento en que McCall, nuevamente de una manera despiadada y brutal, deberá impartir justicia.

"The Equalizer 3", the third and possibly last film in this franchise; tells us a new way of doing justice by "Robert McCall" who this time is not in North America, but in Europe, especially in the southern region of Italy where it seems that he has found a place to live in peace, but the nature of who is "Robert", makes him be close to danger or dangerous people, unscrupulous, criminals who only live to create terror in innocent people and that is the moment when McCall, again in a ruthless and brutal way, must impart justice.

Esta franquicia en sus tres films ha contado con la dirección de Antoine Fuqua, el cual ha realizado un buen trabajo en cada film; en esta tercera entrega veremos las típicas tomas en esta franquicia la cual nos da una completa perspectiva de un lugar, en dónde veremos una tranquilidad antes que la velocidad de la escena cambia al convertirse en buena secuencia de acción por las muy buenas coreografías, pero pudo notar que hay algo nuevo en esta película y es que Fuqua anexó suspenso en varias de las escenas, eso al crear escenas con tensión y jugar con el miedo de las víctimas del justiciero "McCall"; esto es algo que disfrute porque este director aprovecho de la arquitectura del lugar en donde se filmó está tercera parte de la franquicia.

El guion es escrito nuevamente por Richard Wenk es de lo mejor de la película, es una excelente historia sobre detenerse y poner en perspectiva que hacer en lo que te resta de vida, es un retiro aunque siempre hay una oportunidad más para demostrar lo bueno que eres en lo que haces; esa es la base del film que usa claramente elementos western para resaltar lo que es el último episodio de este justiciero; repetiré lo de que este es un western o está muy influenciado en ese estilo de filmes porque respeta mucho esa manera de relatar la historia, me refiero al tener a un extraño que llega a un nuevo lugar, un maravilloso y positivo lugar que le brinda apoyo, estabilidad y confianza de comenzar una nueva etapa, pero nada es perfecto y eso es debido a forajidos que aparecen para crear caos y solo se impone la figura de este extraño que es capaz de sembrar terror en quienes creen que tiene poder; esto es "Equalizer 3" y es magnífico.

This franchise in its three films has been directed by Antoine Fuqua, who has done a good job in each film; in this third installment we will see the typical shots in this franchise which gives us a complete perspective of a place, where we will see a tranquility before the speed of the scene changes to become good action sequence by the very good choreography, but could notice that there is something new in this film and is that Fuqua added suspense in several of the scenes, that to create scenes with tension and play with the fear of the victims of the vigilante "McCall"; This is something I enjoyed because this director took advantage of the architecture of the place where this third part of the franchise was filmed.

The script is written again by Richard Wenk is the best of the film, it is an excellent story about stopping and putting in perspective what to do in what you have left of your life, it is a retirement but there is always another opportunity to prove how good you are at what you do; that is the basis of the film that clearly uses western elements to highlight what is the last episode of this vigilante; I will repeat that this is a western or is very influenced by that style of film because it respects a lot that way of telling the story, I mean having a stranger who comes to a new place, a wonderful and positive place that gives support, stability and confidence to start a new stage, but nothing is perfect and that is due to outlaws who appear to create chaos and only the figure of this stranger who is able to sow terror in those who believe they have power is imposed; this is "Equalizer 3" and it is magnificent.

Tanto en las películas anteriores, como en esta, la personificación de "Robert McCall" por parte de Denzel Washington nos demuestra esa necesidad de ayudar y de hacer justicia por sus propias manos; este personaje tiene la habilidad de ser juez y verdugo, siendo esas características lo que posiblemente nos muestre el problema mental de este personaje y esto lo digo porque personalmente percibo que está versión de "McCall", está lidiando con cierto cansancio de impartir justicia de una manera violenta, puedo decir que hay momentos en dónde desvaría y en mi opinión es un signo de locura; a mí me gustó eso porque siempre pienso que personajes justicieros, no están bien mentalmente y en eso, Denzel Washington hace un excelente trabajo.

In the previous films, as well as in this one, the personification of "Robert McCall" by Denzel Washington shows us the need to help and to take justice into his own hands; This character has the ability to be judge and executioner, being those characteristics what possibly shows us the mental problem of this character and I say this because I personally perceive that this version of "McCall", is dealing with a certain tiredness of imparting justice in a violent way, I can say that there are moments where he raves and in my opinion is a sign of madness; I liked that because I always think that vigilante characters, are not well mentally and in that, Washington does an excellent job.

Cómo dije anteriormente, mis expectativas no eran altas y posiblemente eso ayudó a que me gustara está tercera película de la franquicia de "The Equalizer"; es un film muy diferente a las otras dos películas y eso es debido a su manera de desarrollar la historia, la cual tiene la particularidad en que pareciera que el relato no tiene un origen claro, es una historia en que su relato le falta el fragmento del comienzo, pero eso no desentona en lo que nos quiere demostrar en esta etapa de la vida de su protagonista que posiblemente, por primera vez no se siente solo, que por fin ha encajado en un lugar y que está dispuesto a tener la confianza y enseñar lo que es capaz de hacer para proteger a su nueva y gran familia; este es un film corto, con una buena narrativa, pocas, pero buenas escenas de acción, muy acordé a la actualidad del personaje y también hay que decir que es un buen y adecuado final; si no la han visto, no solo recomiendo está película sino las otras que completan está trilogía de acción.

As I said before, my expectations were not high and possibly that helped me to like this third film in "The Equalizer" franchise; it is a very different film from the other two films and that is due to its way of developing the story, which has the particularity that it seems that the story does not have a clear origin, it is a story that lacks the fragment of the beginning, but that does not detract from what it wants to show us at this stage of the life of its protagonist who possibly, for the first time does not feel alone, who has finally fit into a place and is willing to have the confidence and show what he is capable of doing to protect his new and great family; this is a short film, with a good narrative, few but good action scenes, very much in line with the actuality of the character and it must also be said that it is a good and appropriate ending; if you have not seen it, I recommend not only this film but the others that complete this action trilogy.

I had Fair Play pending. I didn't really want to see it, but a couple of tweets recommending it made me change my mind. The film left a good impression on me, although in the last third there is a scene that is hard to believe. What happens at that moment has to be taken with a grain of salt, something I forgive after making me enjoy the story.

This is the debut feature of Chloe Domont, writer and director with several works in TV series. I like debut films, because the filmmakers show their style to the public. The director can be satisfied. She has made a remarkable film, with a tension in crescendo and a couple of outstanding performances.

Many people may notice in the message the female empowerment, how a woman manages to stand out in a mostly male environment, endure a macho environment, but everything is justified, the reactions of the characters are human and I have seen similar cases in real life.

Tenía pendiente Fair Play. No tenía muchas ganas de verla, pero un par de tweets recomendándola me hicieron cambiar de opinión. La película me dejó una buena impresión aunque en el último tercio hay una escena difícil de creer. Lo que ocurre en ese momento hay que cogerlo con pinzas, algo que perdono después de hacerme disfrutar de la historia.

Esta es la ópera prima de Chloe Domont, guionista y directora con varios trabajos en series de televisión. Me gustan las óperas primas, porque los realizadores muestran su estilo al público. La directora puede estar satisfecha. Ha hecho una película notable, con una tensión in crescendo y un par de interpretaciones sobresalientes.

También me gustó la actuación de los actores, casi que no suelo destacar este hecho ya que lo doy por sentado al gustarme alguna producción que veo también es porque me gustó la actuación de los involucrados. La séptima película de esta franquicia era de los films que quería ver en este año; personalmente creo que la calidad de historia y de acción de esta serie de filmes es excelente y entretenida, estás son algunos de los factores o características de su éxito y para repetir eso, Cruise debería contar con quiénes le han ayudado a crear muy buenas películas de acción, uno de esos importantes contribuyentes es Christopher McQuarrie quien ha cumplido los roles de director y guionista, no solo de este nuevo film, sino de los dos anteriores; en esta oportunidad hace un excelente trabajo, cada secuencia de acción es mejor que la anterior y eso es debido a lo dinámico y divertido de las escenas, en especial la del tercer y final acto del film lo cual es lo mejor de toda la película; entre esas escenas y la excelente fotografía, posiblemente esta es de las mejores películas que he visto de este director.

El guion co-escrito tanto por McQuarrie junto a Erik Jendresen es lo que más me ha gustado del film; la historia sigue demostrando a un "Ethan" que vive para salvar al mundo en cada misión, pero también demuestra el libre albedrío de tomar decisiones que no son personales, ni están unidas a una rígida orden, sino para un buen mejor; creo que esa es la base para este film en dónde tal como sucede en esta franquicia como en otros de espías, se enfrenta a un posible y terrorífico caos, pero ahora se suma un control después de la creación del caos, un control de cuál el mundo ya es víctima a causa de los algoritmos creados por cierta Inteligencia Artificial; justamente es eso lo que me ha fascinado de la historia porque no la hace sofisticado a pesar de que lo es y creo que es debido a lo fácil de los diálogos, la fluidez de las palabras o posiblemente lo actual del tema en sí.

Con respecto a los demás personajes haré referencia a los dos nuevos, comienzo con "Gabriel" Interpretado por Esai Morales, un fantasma del pasado, un poderoso y buen adversario, elegante y letal; en mi opinión de los mejores villanos de la franquicia aunque en el final hay un desacierto que lo convierte en algo caricaturesco, pero en todo el film su trabajo es excelente, otro personaje es "París" Interpretado por Pom Klementieff, es perfecta en el rol de una asesina despiadada, letal, hermosa y divertida; me gustaría ver a Pom interpretar más roles en films de acción; terminó con mi opinión sobre el adecuado personaje de "Grace" interpretado por Hayley Atwell, ella es un claro ejemplo de como no es necesario repetir un relato del origen de un personaje cuando se puede ver desde la perspectiva de otro que tiene muchas similitudes con el protagonista, por los momentos ese es la importancia de este personaje que se ve envuelto en un mundo muy peligroso y sus decisiones será muy importantes para su futuro. Este film es excelente, es de lo mejor del año y aunque no me terminaba de convencer tanto la manera de relato y el uso del humor en su primer acto, creo que cuando todas las bases de la historia están bien ubicadas, es cuando se hace mucho mejor y en dónde debo repetir que todo el tercer acto es de lo mejor que he visto en el año, todo fluye, es divertido y hasta existe un breve homenaje a De Palma, director del primer film en 1996 con el uso de la cámara en los diálogos de los personajes, es algo muy bien hecho; por todo eso, puedo decir que está es una de mis películas favoritas dentro de esta franquicia y me hace tener muchas más expectativas para la continuación de esta historia.

Unfortunately, at the time of the release of "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning" it had to face the two box office sensations of 2023, such as "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer", which affected the performance of this film in the final box office, but I am convinced that the decision of not releasing the eighth film of this franchise for 2025, is something right and makes me see that they learned from mistakes and plan better the future of this series of impossible missions. This film is excellent, it is one of the best of the year and although I was not convinced by the way the story was told and the use of humor in the first act, I think that when all the bases of the story are well placed, is when it becomes much better and where I must repeat that the whole third act is the best I've seen this year, everything flows, is fun and there is even a brief tribute to De Palma, director of the first film in 1996 with the use of the camera in the dialogues of the characters, it's something very well done; for all that, I can say that this is one of my favorite films in this franchise and makes me have much more expectations for the continuation of this story.

Who could have imagined that even after 27 years, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr still had one last “trick up their sleeve” to present to their audience? The release of one last song. What seemed to be something very unlikely due to a more than obvious contextualization (the group has not existed for many years) fortunately became true through demos that were left by Lennon and the advancement of technology that brought the opportunity to clean his voice, creating a plural project with the other members of the band with great impact.

In this brief documentary, the primary focus is to provide the audience (especially fans) with one last visual and audio “moment of pleasure”. This is done masterfully, and in a very objective way, it manages to capture the interest almost instantly on the part of those on the other side of the screen. Anyone who really values the work of this band knows how important it is to carry out a project like this and after watching it, they know that the work was carried out meticulously because there is a wealth of detail in the idealization process and the construction of the song is great.

Even without the ambition of being a dramatic project, it is impossible for this documentary to escape this genre because its nature is relatively sad. The birth of the music that gave rise to this audiovisual project was painful and at the same time pleasurable, because it revived memories of the entire group of musicians at different moments in their respective lives, working as a team or separately. This interpretation remains between the lines, but anyone who follows the band knows that, in general, their success is marked by episodes full of “timeless oscillations”.

The other focus of the project, in my point of view, was a possible “demystification” of the rumors that Lennon's voice had been digitally recreated with the help of artificial intelligence so that the music could become a more complete material. Any and all doubts about this are answered (directly or indirectly, depending on each viewer's point of view) and the documentary provides enough arguments to justify the production method that is faithful to the band's essence. Everything is very well thought out, punctuated and executed with skill to move people.

Counting on exclusive comments (and which very assertively energize the entire project) from Paul, Ringo, George, Sean Ono Lennon and Peter Jackson, the public understands the process of creating the music, with different points of view on the which consolidated the success of the band itself. Long before the tape was recorded, it was very interesting to follow their group sessions, reliving the nostalgia of seeing them in a plural way. Once again, being able to see them all together is something very nostalgic and will certainly bring countless good memories to everyone.

Oliver Murray wrote and directed the project diligently, and he knew exactly what he needed to deliver to the public. The work was direct, precise, quite coherent and he brought together a compilation of very inspiring scenes, which were edited with precision to “tell” a behind-the-scenes story. The technical production also deserves to be highlighted, because it has a very important merit: working on the sound aspect around the project as its true essence (leaving the “cinematic” side a little more aside). Although brief, the quartet's return was something quite surreal.

The contextualization of the idea is quite simple, because it is basically a filmed making off. However, what makes it something much greater is the fact that its “raw material” is something so iconic for the world of music and pop culture in general. The touches of nostalgia are everywhere, from the scenes to the chords, there is no way to ignore the relevance of this material, which despite being short, is very important for an entire generation that knew this quartet. Furthermore, it is the type of timeless material that will certainly inspire many more people out there.

The Ringer

Now and Then: The Last Beatles Song is a relevant, fun documentary, made with great care and which values its smallest details (because that is the identity imprinted on it). Its atmosphere is very light (and at the same time heavy due to its traumatic and nostalgic essence due to its countless memories), managing to very easily create a “cozy place” for those who really like the band. There is no way not to get emotional here, and certainly, hearing the finished song is something that makes this audiovisual experience an even more immersive adventure.

El lanzamiento de una última canción. Lo que parecía algo muy improbable por una contextualización más que obvia (el grupo hace muchos años que no existe) afortunadamente se hizo realidad a través de los demos que dejó Lennon y el avance de la tecnología que trajo la oportunidad de limpiar su voz, creando un proyecto plural con los demás integrantes de la banda de gran impacto.

En este breve documental, el objetivo principal es brindarle a la audiencia (especialmente a los fanáticos) un último “momento de placer” visual y sonoro. Esto está hecho de manera magistral, y de una manera muy objetiva, logra captar el interés casi instantáneamente por parte de quienes están al otro lado de la pantalla. Cualquiera que realmente valore el trabajo de esta banda sabe lo importante que es realizar un proyecto como este y después de verlo sabe que el trabajo fue realizado minuciosamente porque hay mucho detalle en el proceso de idealización y en la la construcción de la canción es genial.

Incluso sin la ambición de ser un proyecto dramático, es imposible que este documental escape a este género porque su naturaleza es relativamente triste. El nacimiento de la música que dio origen a este proyecto audiovisual fue doloroso y a la vez placentero, porque revivió recuerdos de todo el grupo de músicos en diferentes momentos de sus respectivas vidas, trabajando en equipo o por separado. Esta interpretación queda entre líneas, pero cualquiera que siga a la banda sabe que, en general, su éxito está marcado por episodios llenos de “oscilaciones atemporales”.

El otro foco del proyecto, desde mi punto de vista, era una posible “desmitificación” de los rumores de que la voz de Lennon había sido recreada digitalmente con la ayuda de inteligencia artificial para que la música pudiera convertirse en un material más completo. Todas las dudas al respecto quedan resueltas (directa o indirectamente, según el punto de vista de cada espectador) y el documental aporta argumentos suficientes para justificar un método de producción fiel a la esencia de la banda. Todo está muy bien pensado, puntuado y ejecutado con habilidad para conmover a la gente.

Contando con comentarios exclusivos (y que dinamizan de manera muy asertiva todo el proyecto) de Paul, Ringo, George, Sean Ono Lennon y Peter Jackson, el público comprende el proceso de creación de la música, con diferentes puntos de vista sobre el que consolidó el éxito de la banda misma. Mucho antes de que se grabara la cinta, resultaba muy interesante seguir sus sesiones grupales, reviviendo la nostalgia de verlos en plural. Una vez más, poder verlos a todos juntos es algo muy nostálgico y seguro que traerá infinidad de buenos recuerdos a todos.

Los toques de nostalgia están por todas partes, desde las escenas hasta los acordes, no hay manera de ignorar la relevancia de este material, que a pesar de ser breve, es muy importante para toda una generación que conoció este cuarteto. Además, es el tipo de material atemporal que sin duda inspirará a mucha más gente.

Now and Then: The Last Beatles Song es un documental relevante, divertido, realizado con mucho mimo y que valora hasta el más mínimo detalle (porque esa es la identidad que lleva impresa). Su atmósfera es muy ligera (y a la vez pesada por su esencia traumática y nostálgica por sus innumerables recuerdos), logrando crear muy fácilmente un “lugar acogedor” para quienes realmente gustan de la banda. No hay manera de no emocionarse aquí, y ciertamente, escuchar la canción terminada es algo que hace de esta experiencia audiovisual una aventura aún más inmersiva.

There is no doubt that trying to reinvent yourself within the music scene is something very complicated. Many musicians spend their lives searching for this in every possible way, and while some cannot, others seem to be able to do it in an almost fluid way. Taylor Swift is part of the second group, and even though I'm not a fan of her work, I need to recognize all the impact she has on the musical world due to all the changes in sound she's undergone. Always delivering something new, she surprises very well here in this project.

The Hollywood Reporter

Over the course of almost three hours, the audience can follow a work worthy of admiration (in this case, I'm referring to those people who aren't really fans of who she is and what she does). Even though I'm not a fan, I confess that I was very impressed with the technical quality of the material. I got this ticket (because I wouldn't pay to watch it myself, haha!) and I confess that I had a lot of fun considering a proposal that I would previously classify as something very boring. The concert movie is very good, almost everywhere.

There is a diversity of angles where the cameras can favor this entire project too much. From the point of view of people who didn't have the opportunity to attend some of the tour's shows live, going to the theaters to see a great (and well-executed in almost all its context) compilation of Swift's greatest hits is considered a “privilege” for whoever is on the other side of the screen. Visually speaking (for a better understanding), it's almost like being in the front row of the event, being able to pay attention to small details that are more visible on the screen.

Even if a movie can’t reproduce the pleasure of watching a live concert, cinematically speaking and at the same time, musically as well, it is possible to define this project as a bold idea (although it doesn't bring anything that new) and that delivers a great present to the public (especially fans). The energy emanates very easily with a sequence of well-thought-out songs, which were purposely edited to capture the audience's attention in a “hypnotizing” way. The definition of visual quality is really the highlight, which is in its “details”.

A symbol on the instrument, a detail on the clothing, the public's excitement through a contemplative expression are just some of the details that the movie version manages to capture. In the midst of all this, the musical part is very strong, showing that Swift is navigating very well between country, folk, pop and that she still has no idea what she can do. There is no doubt that she is a multifaceted artist, but at the same time, she still has a lot to learn in terms of cinema. The project is good, but it has technical errors that are quite disappointing.

People

Excessive cuts (some of them are even too abrupt) minimize the impact of some performances. The edition tries to “compensate” for this flaw with more dynamism, but ends up making the same mistake repeatedly some of the time. This somewhat hinders the experience in the most complete musical context (because this is a concert, and therefore needs to deliver musical coherence) and in this specific aspect, a lot could have been improved. In any case, the mistakes don't take away from the shine of the complete project (which, by the way, is very colorful, vibrant and very energetic).

Sam Wrench doesn't do anything spectacular directing this project and everything about it lacks its own “identity”. Although he knew what he was doing, there is not much way to innovate within the proposal of a concert filmed and edited to be shown as a “movie”. However, as I mentioned previously, he managed to capture some very interesting angles that provide a very immersive view of the concert in its entirety (although logically, for obvious reasons, incomplete). Much of the success of what he does is due to Swift herself and her charisma.

The Hollywood Reporter

If you are a fan, I recommend that you watch Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour in theaters if possible, because that must really be something very special for you, being able to see all of this through a movie screen (and seeing how much Swift is quite authentic), with a state-of-the-art sound system available. On the other hand, if you're not a fan, just go to the cinema if you win that ticket... After all, there's no shortage of movies to watch. Overall, it is a project designed, developed and made entirely for the fans (which does not prevent access to other audiences).

CRÍTICA DE PELÍCULA - “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” (2023)

Sinopsis: Una “película de concierto” con el aspecto cinematográfico más refinado de The Eras Tour, una de las giras mundiales más aclamadas de este año y que fue responsable de hacer de Taylor Swift una cantante aún más famosa (y rica).

No cabe duda de que intentar reinventarse dentro del panorama musical es algo muy complicado. Muchos músicos se pasan la vida buscándolo de todas las formas posibles, y aunque algunos no pueden, otros parecen poder hacerlo de forma casi fluida. Taylor Swift es parte del segundo grupo, y aunque no soy fan de su trabajo, debo reconocer todo el impacto que tiene en el mundo musical debido a todos los cambios en el sonido que ha experimentado. Siempre aportando algo nuevo, sorprende muy bien aquí en este proyecto.

A lo largo de casi tres horas, el público podrá seguir una obra digna de admirar (en este caso me refiero a aquellas personas que no son realmente fans de quién es ella y de lo que hace). Aunque no soy un fan, confieso que quedé muy impresionado con la calidad técnica del material. Conseguí esta entrada (porque no pagaría por verla yo mismo, ¡jaja!) y confieso que me divertí mucho considerando una propuesta que antes catalogaría como algo muy aburrido. La película del concierto es muy buena, en casi todas partes.

Hay diversidad de ángulos donde las cámaras pueden favorecer demasiado todo este proyecto. Desde el punto de vista de las personas que no tuvieron la oportunidad de asistir en vivo a algunos de los shows de la gira, acudir a los cines para ver una gran (y bien ejecutada en casi todo su contexto) recopilación de los grandes éxitos de Swift se considera una “privilegio” para quien esté al otro lado de la pantalla. Visualmente hablando (para una mejor comprensión), es casi como estar en primera fila del evento, pudiendo prestar atención a pequeños detalles que son más visibles en la pantalla.

Aunque una película no puede reproducir el placer de ver un concierto en directo, cinematográficamente hablando y al mismo tiempo musicalmente también, se puede definir este proyecto como una idea audaz (aunque no aporta nada nuevo) y que ofrece un gran regalo al público (especialmente a los fans). La energía emana muy fácilmente con una secuencia de canciones bien pensadas, que fueron editadas deliberadamente para captar la atención del público de una manera “hipnotizante”. Realmente lo más destacado es la definición de calidad visual, que está en sus “detalles”.

Un símbolo en el instrumento, un detalle en la vestimenta, la emoción del público a través de una expresión contemplativa son sólo algunos de los detalles que la versión cinematográfica logra captar. En medio de todo esto, la parte musical es muy fuerte, demostrando que Swift navega muy bien entre el country, el folk, el pop y que aún no tiene idea de lo que puede hacer. No hay duda de que es una artista multifacética, pero al mismo tiempo todavía tiene mucho que aprender en cuanto a cine se refiere. El proyecto es bueno, pero tiene errores técnicos que decepcionan bastante.

Los recortes excesivos (algunos incluso demasiado bruscos) minimizan el impacto de algunas actuaciones. La edición intenta “compensar” este defecto con más dinamismo, pero acaba cometiendo el mismo error repetidas veces. Esto dificulta un poco la experiencia en el contexto musical más completo (porque se trata de un concierto y, por lo tanto, debe ofrecer coherencia musical) y en este aspecto específico se podría haber mejorado mucho. En cualquier caso, los errores no quitan brillo al proyecto completo (que, por cierto, es muy colorido, vibrante y muy enérgico).

Sam Wrench no hace nada espectacular al dirigir este proyecto y todo en él carece de “identidad” propia. Si bien sabía lo que hacía, no hay mucha manera de innovar dentro de la propuesta de un concierto filmado y editado para ser mostrado como una “película”. Sin embargo, como comenté anteriormente, logró capturar algunos ángulos muy interesantes que brindan una visión muy inmersiva del concierto en su totalidad (aunque lógicamente, por razones obvias, incompleta). Gran parte del éxito de lo que hace se debe a la propia Swift y su carisma.

Si eres fan, te recomiendo que veas Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour en cines si es posible, porque realmente debe ser algo muy especial para ti, poder ver todo esto a través de una pantalla de cine (y ver cuánto Swift es bastante auténtico), con un sistema de sonido de última generación disponible. En cambio, si no eres fanático, ve al cine si ganas esa entrada... Al fin y al cabo, no faltan películas para ver. En definitiva, es un proyecto pensado, desarrollado y realizado íntegramente para los fans (lo que no impide el acceso a otros públicos).

CRÍTICA DE FILME - “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” (2023)

Sinopse: Um “filme concerto” no mais refinado visual cinematográfico da The Eras Tour, uma das turnês mundiais mais aclamadas deste ano e que foi responsável por tornar Taylor Swift em uma cantora ainda mais famosa (e rica).

Não há dúvidas que tentar se reinventar dentro do cenário musical é algo muito complicado. Muitos musicistas passam à vida buscando por isso de todas as maneiras possíveis, e quanto alguns não conseguem, outros parecem conseguir fazer isso de uma maneira quase que fluida. Taylor Swift faz parte do segundo grupo, e mesmo eu não sendo um fã do trabalho dela, eu preciso reconhecer todo esse impacto que ela causa dentro do mundo musical por todas as mudanças de sonoridades a qual ela já se submeteu. Entregando sempre algo novo, ela surpreende muito bem aqui neste projeto.

Ao longo de quase três horas de duração, o público pode acompanhar aqui um trabalho digno de admiração (neste caso, eu me refiro aquelas pessoas que realmente não fãs do quem ela é e do que ela faz). Mesmo eu não sendo fã, eu confesso que eu fiquei muito impressionado com a qualidade técnica do material. Eu ganhei esse ingresso (porque eu mesmo não pagaria para tê-lo assistido, haha!) e confesso que me diverti muito considerando uma proposta que eu anteriormente classificaria como algo muito enfadonho. O filme concerto é muito bom, por todos quase todos os lados.

Há uma diversidade de ângulos onde as câmeras conseguem favorecer demais todo esse projeto. Pelo ponto de vista das pessoas que não tiveram a oportunidade de assistir a alguns dos shows da turnê ao vivo, ir até os cinemas para ver uma grande (e bem executada em quase todo o seu contexto) compilação dos grandes sucessos de Swift é considerado um “privilégio” para quem está do outro lado da tela. Visualmente falando (para uma melhor compreensão), é quase como estar na primeira fileira do evento, podendo prestar atenção em pequenos detalhes que na tela são mais visíveis.

Mesmo que um filme não consiga reproduzir o prazer que é assistir um concerto ao vivo, cinematograficamente falando e ao mesmo tempo, musicalmente também, é possível definir este projeto como uma ideia ousada (embora não traga nada de tão novo) e que entrega um ótimo presente ao público (em especial, os fãs). A energia emana muito fácil com uma sequência de músicas bem pensadas, e que foram propositalmente editadas para fisgar à atenção do público de uma maneira “hipnotizante”. A definição de qualidade visual é mesmo o grande destaque, que está em seus “detalhes”.

Não há dúvidas de que ela é uma artista multifacetada, mas ao mesmo tempo, ainda tem muito o que aprender em termos de cinema. O projeto é bom, mas tem erros técnicos bem bastante decepcionantes.

Cortes excessivos (alguns deles são até abruptos demais) minimizam o impacto de algumas performances. A edição tenta “compensar” essa falha com mais dinamismo, mas acaba cometendo o mesmo erro repetidamente algumas das vezes. Isso atrapalha um pouco a experiência no contexto musical mais completo (até porque isso é um concerto, e de tal forma precisa entregar coerência musical) e nesse aspecto específico, muita coisa poderia ter sido melhorada. De qualquer forma, os erros não tiram o brilho do projeto completo (que aliás, é bem colorido, vibrante e bem energético).

Sam Wrench não faz nada de espetacular dirigindo esse projeto e tudo nele é carente de uma “identidade” mais própria. Embora ele soubesse o que estava fazendo, não há muito como inovar dentro da proposta de um concerto filmado e editado para se exibido como um “filme”. No entanto, como eu já mencionei anteriormente, ele conseguiu captar alguns ângulos bem interessantes e que trazem uma visão bem imersiva do concerto em sua plenitude (ainda que logicamente, por razões óbvias, incompleta). Muito do sucesso do que ele faz se deve a própria Swift e seu carisma.

Se você é um fã, eu recomendo que você assista Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour nos cinemas se possível, porque isso deve realmente ser algo muito especial para você, poder ver tudo isso através de uma tela de cinema (e constatar o quanto Swift é bastante autêntica), com um sistema de som com à ultimação geração disponível. Por outro lado, se você não for um fã, apenas vá ao cinema se ganhar esse ingresso... Afinal, o que não faltam são filmes para serem assistidos. No geral, é um projeto pensado, desenvolvido e feito totalmente para os fãs (o que não impede o acesso a outros públicos).

A couple of months ago I saw a video of Zazza the Italian, youtuber who frequents the most dangerous areas of the countries. In his visit to America he was able to see how fatal is the use of Fentanyl and he showed us a fragment of that sad reality that nobody is going to show off in his nice tourist pictures on social networks.

What is the point of all this? The movie Pain Hustlers tackles the issue of fentanyl, adapting an article and a novel by writer Evan Hughes. It's all inspired by real events. Los opiáceos representan un gran problema, especialmente en Estados Unidos. No sólo por el poder adictivo de este tipo de medicamentos y sus efectos mortales para la salud. También porque representa un negocio millonario para quienes producen estos fármacos.

Seguramente habrás oído hablar del Fentanilo. Esta droga sintética se ha hecho muy famosa por las dantescas imágenes difundidas en los medios de comunicación y redes sociales. La llaman la droga Zombie, porque la gente queda como un muerto viviente. Los efectos pueden ser mortales, muchas personas han muerto.

Hace un par de meses vi un video de Zazza el italiano, youtuber que frecuenta las zonas más peligrosas de los países. En su visita a América pudo comprobar lo fatal que es el uso del Fentanilo y nos mostró un fragmento de esa triste realidad que nadie va a presumir en sus bonitas fotos turísticas en las redes sociales.

¿Qué sentido tiene todo esto? La película Pain Hustlers aborda el tema del fentanilo, adaptando un artículo y una novela del escritor Evan Hughes. Todo está inspirado en hechos reales. Characters have also been invented that did not exist in the real case, such as the protagonist Liza Drake, whose screenwriter Wells Tower seems to have been inspired by Erin Brocovich to shape her and falls halfway.

The whole film falls halfway flat. Chris Evans and Emily Blunt sn the hook, but it's not enough. Not even Andy Garcia manages to make the billionaire business owner believable. At times it seems to try to hook with a black humor that didn't even bring a smile to my face. Nor does it delve as deeply as it should into the apparatus of corruption that is the healthcare system and pharmaceutical companies.

I am not a big fan of director David Yates. His most important works have been his work on the Harry Potter saga and the subsequent films in that universe. In them he has done a good job according to the type of story, but here you can see how uncreative and risky he is when it comes to approaching a story that should be more serious. A direction that at times seems like an old made-for-TV or direct-to-DVD movie, as in the old days. If it weren't for the famous Hollywood actors in it, very few people would see the film.

Emily Blunt is fabulous, as always. She was the only reason I could make it through to the end of this movie. The middle of the film may be entertaining, but then I realized it wasn't looking to go any further, baring the whole truth. I was watching the clock for it to end soon. By the way, today I saw the trailer of another movie with Emily Blunt : The Fall Guy, with the handsome Ryan Gosling, I hope that one will be really entertaining.

Tampoco profundiza todo lo que debiera en el aparato de corrupción que es el sistema sanitario y las empresas farmacéuticas.

No soy un gran fan del director David Yates. Sus obras más importantes han sido su trabajo en la saga de Harry Potter y las posteriores películas de ese universo. En ellas ha hecho un buen trabajo acorde al tipo de historia, pero aquí se nota lo poco creativo y arriesgado que es a la hora de abordar una historia que debería ser más seria. Una dirección que por momentos parece una vieja película hecha para televisión o directa a DVD, como antaño. Si no fuera por los famosos actores de Hollywood que aparecen en ella, muy poca gente vería la película.

Emily Blunt está fabulosa, como siempre. Ella fue la única razón por la que pude llegar hasta el final de esta película. La mitad del film puede ser entretenido, pero después me di cuenta de que no buscaba ir más allá, desnudando toda la verdad. Estaba mirando el reloj para que terminara pronto. Por cierto, hoy he visto el trailer de otra película con Emily Blunt : The Fall Guy, con el guapo de Ryan Gosling, espero que esa sea realmente entretenida.
