   There are characters that stand out to the eye, while others simply go unnoticed even if they are the main ones. In this case I want to mention Integra Hellsing and Alucard, who are in the first group of those I just mentioned.

   I find it spectacular how Hellsing's mangaka Kota Hirano created them, each one very different from the other in nature, but equal in character. They're practically two sides of the same coin, and in that sense no other pair with so many similarities comes to mind.

   

   Let's talk about Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, the head and heiress of the Hellsing, who at her young age found herself in a life or death situation, her determination led her to remember the teachings of her father, who told her how to proceed under circumstances of great risk. This led her to enter into a contract with Alucard, the most powerful of all vampires.

   Since she was a child, Integra is shown to be determined to get what she wants, to use her authority as much as possible, and to fulfill her objectives no matter what, even when her ideals are compromised, she fulfills her duty to the fullest. This personality is really striking, plus she is a determined and warrior woman even though she is human, which makes her limited in strength and dependent on her vampires, but not for that reason she stops advancing, on the contrary, she knows very well what she is doing.

   Me parece espectacular como el mangaka Kota Hirano de Hellsing los creo, cada uno muy diferente del otro en cuanto a naturaleza, pero igual en carácter. Son prácticamente dos caras de la misma moneda, y en ese sentido no me llega a la mente ninguna otra pareja con tantas similitudes.

   Hablemos de Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, la cabeza y heredera de los Hellsing, quien a su corta edad se encontró con una situación de vida o muerte, su determinación la llevo a recordar las enseñanzas de su padre, quien le indico como proceder bajo circunstancias de gran riesgo. Eso la llevo a realizar un contrato con Alucard, el más poderoso de todos los vampiros.

   Desde pequeña se nos muestra a una Integra determinada a conseguir lo que quiere, a usar su autoridad lo más posible, y a cumplir sus objetivos sin importar nada, aun cuando sus ideales se ven comprometidos cumple con su deber a cabalidad. Esa personalidad es realmente llamativa, además que es una mujer decidida y guerrera aun cuando es humana, lo cual le hace estar limitada en fuerza y depender de sus vampiros, pero no por eso deja de avanzar, todo lo contrario, sabe muy bien lo que hace.

   Integra is the ideal type of ruler, although she isn't, but her devotion to the English nation and her respect for authority make us want to have such a ruler, someone who doesn't hesitate to do what is right no matter the consequences, that firmness and integrity really charmed me.

   As for power, what can we say, too powerful, when he releases the restrictions he is almost invincible, he has under his domain countless souls, which allow him to die again and again in combat and not really suffer significant damage; not to mention that he can use the powers of those vampires whom he defeated previously.

   Alucard is undoubtedly a very well created character, he is very different from the rest of the Alucard that one can know, this one has zero goodness, and his two weapons prove it, even when he “saved” Seras Victoria he practically wounded her to death, and when Walter betrayed them he did not hesitate to defeat him.

   Sin embargo esto no llega, y a causa de eso tenemos un personaje al que no le importa nada en lo absoluto, para el todos los humanos son iguales, solo Integra Hellsing se ganó su respeto, tanto así que la llama condesa y cumple todas las ordenes de ella a cabalidad, y no hace nada sin su autorización, un punto interesante realmente.

   En cuanto a poder, que podemos decir, demasiado poderoso, cuando libera las restricciones es casi invencible, tiene bajo su dominio innumerables almas, lo cual le permiten morir una y otra vez en combate y no sufrir realmente un daño significativo; sin contar que puede usar los poderes de aquellos vampiros a quienes venció anteriormente.

   Alucard sin duda es un personaje muy bien creado, es muy diferente al resto de los Alucard que uno puede conocer, este tiene cero bondad, y sus dos armas lo demuestran, incluso cuando “salvo” a Seras Victoria prácticamente la hirió de muerte, y cuando Walter los traiciono no titubeo en derrotarlo.

   

   I confess that I have had an admiration for these characters, more together than apart, they have a unique chemistry and are excellent in design and character, a masterpiece of the master Kota Hirano, and I dare to say that two of the most iconic characters in the world of manga and anime.

   Si hay algo que hace a Hellsing especial, es su protagonista. Alucard no es un vampiro convencional; es una fuerza de la naturaleza. Poderoso, sádico y con un sentido del humor tan retorcido como su sed de sangre, es un personaje que rebosa carisma en cada escena.

   Su relación con Integra es otro punto clave. No es una simple subordinación; es un lazo de respeto, obediencia y un pasado intrigante que añade profundidad a su personaje.

   Si te gustan las peleas sangrientas, Hellsing no decepciona. Cada batalla es una carnicería gloriosa llena de violencia estilizada, con Alucard desatando su poder abrumador contra humanos y criaturas sobrenaturales por igual.

   Además, el anime no teme explorar temas oscuros como el fanatismo religioso, el abuso de poder y la locura de la guerra, lo que lo hace más maduro e impactante que otros títulos de acción.

   In addition, the anime isn't afraid to explore dark themes such as religious fanaticism, abuse of power, and the madness of war, making it more mature and impactful than other action titles.

   Hellsing doesn't only shine because of its protagonist, but also because of its antagonists. The Major, leader of Millennium, is one of the most disturbing villains in the anime. His love of war and chaos make him an enemy who does not seek victory, but rather the pleasure of destruction.

   Also of note is Alexander Anderson, the fanatical priest of the Iscariot Church, who sees in Alucard an enemy who can only be eliminated by “divine justice.” His confrontations with Alucard are among the most epic in the series.

   Lo que no me gusto / What I dont like

   Si bien Hellsing tuvo una primera adaptación en 2001, esta se aleja bastante del manga y deja muchos cabos sueltos. Afortunadamente, Hellsing Ultimate (2006-2012) corrigió esto con una animación más fluida, una historia más fiel al material original y un tono aún más oscuro y violento.

   Aunque Alucard y sus enemigos son fascinantes, algunos personajes secundarios, como Seras Victoria, tardan demasiado en tener su momento de evolución. Su transformación final es increíble, pero hubiese sido mejor ver más desarrollo desde el principio.

   While Hellsing was first adapted in 2001, it strays quite a bit from the manga and leaves many loose ends. Fortunately, Hellsing Ultimate (2006-2012) corrected this with smoother animation, a story more faithful to the source material, and an even darker and more violent tone.

   Hoy, despues de poco más de un mes sin publicar sobre anime, he decidido volver con mi Anime Challenge.

   This time it's time to talk about Hellsing, an anime about vampires from 2001 that many people have praised and criticized in equal measure. In fact, many of my acquaintances who like anime have recommended it to me fervently and some others have told me that it's not worth watching.

   The truth is that due to those comments I hadn't decided to watch it before, but I wanted to give it a chance this time because of the Anime Challenge, so I decided to watch it and I was able to finish it today.

   The story starts off well, painting an interesting plot in which we meet Police Officer Seras Victoria, we are introduced to the conflict of zombies and vampires and we meet the fearsome and emblematic Alucard, however, as the story progresses we can notice that the plot deviates a bit or, rather, it loses a bit of sense, since things happen that have no explanation and in the long run it remains like that, as if they happened just because and that the character of Seras Victorias in the end turns out to be quite useless, which in my opinion is a waste of a character with a lot of potential.

   La historia empieza bien, pintando una trama interesante en la que conocemos a la Oficial de Policía Seras Victoria, nos plantea el conflicto de los zombies y los vampiros y conocemos al temible y emblemático Alucard, sin embargo, a medida que avanza la historia podemos notar que la trama se desvía un poco o, mejor dicho, pierde un poco el sentido, ya que ocurren cosas que no tienen explicación y a la larga queda así, como que ocurrieron solo porque sí y que el personaje de Seras Victorias al final resulta ser bastante inútil, lo que a mi parecer es un desperdicio de un personaje con bastante potencial.

   

   I'm not going to talk about its animation, which although I don't really like it, I can't criticise it because it's an anime from almost 24 years ago and you can't demand much from anime of that era in this area.

   No voy a hablar de su animación, que aunque no me gusta realmente, no puedo criticarla porque es un anime de hace casi 24 años y no se le puede exigir mucho a los anime de esa época en este ámbito.

   I think its strongest points would be Alucard himself, his relationship with Integra Hellsing and ultimately its soundtrack, which does a spectacular job of accompanying the moments of tension and action.

   Creo que sus puntos fuertes vendrían siendo el mismo Alucard, su relacion con Íntegra Hellsing y en definitiva su banda sonora, que hace un trabajo espectacular al acompañar los momentos de tensión y de acción.

   

   I don't have much more to say about this anime, because I found it quite interesting at first but it fell short of what it could have been. Except for one or two epic scenes, it was pretty bland overall and I personally wouldn't recommend it.

   No tengo mucho más que decir sobre este anime, porque la verdad me pareció bastante interesante al principio pero se quedó corto en cuanto a lo que pudo ser. Salvo una que otra escena épica, fue bastante soso en general y yo en lo personal no lo recomendaría.

   I understand there is a series of OVAs that better cover the adaptation of the original manga to anime format, perhaps more worthwhile than this series.

   Tengo entendido que hay una serie de OVAs que cubren mejor la adaptación del manga original al formato anime, quizás valga más la pena que esta serie.

   To conclude, I give it a score of 5/10. I don't give it less points because I really liked its soundtrack and the character of Alucard is quite interesting.

   [ENG] There's just something about their fangs that intrigues me. I don't know why I particularly admire mythological creatures like vampires,it's scary and exciting at the same time. I've seen a lot of vampire movies,read a lot of vampire books but I haven't really seen a lot of vampire anime. Asides,Owari no seraph and maybe Castlevania, that's it. So,I decided to find one and watch it.

   Source Hellsing is an incredible vampire anime that aired around the year, 2001, around October 10th .Hellsing is a Japanese manga and anime series created by Kouta Hirano. The story follows the Hellsing Organization, a secret British paramilitary group dedicated to fighting against vampires, ghouls, and other supernatural threats.

   The series begins with the introduction of Alucard, a powerful vampire and most valuable asset in the Hellsing's organization. Alucard is an over 500+ years vampire with mind-blowing strength, speed, and regenerative abilities. He is accompanied by his partner, Seras Victoria, a former police officer turned vampire.

   The story takes a wild turn with the arrival of Alexander Anderson, a paladin of the Iscariot Organization, a Vatican-based group dedicated to eradicating vampires. Anderson is a formidable opponent, armed with a variety of different holy relics and a deep-seated hatred for vampires.

   As the series goes on, the Hellsing Organization faces off against the Millennium Organization; a group of Nazi vampires led by the enigmatic Major. The Major's true intentions are revealed to be the resurrection of the " ultimate vampire," a being of immense power and destruction.

   Source Throughout the series, Alucard's past is slowly revealed, showcasing his transformation from a human to a vampire and his centuries-long struggle against his own kind.

   ~Spoiler Alert: One of the most crazy plot twists occurred when it was revealed that the Major's true plan was to create a war between humans and vampires, with the ultimate goal of creating a new world order. The Major's plan was set ablaze though, but this was after a catastrophic battle had already begun between humans and vampires in London. It's really bizzare in a way though. Because this is what happens in almost 80% of the vampire movies or books I've read. Vampires were/are always against the humans,trying to dominate one another.

   Source This is one anime I 100% recommend. It is good. It is glorious. It is intriguing and entertaining. It is definitely worth watching for those that are into action-picked genre, gore and horror. Hellsing definitely has the floor in respect to some scary scenes.

Hello anime community, I hope everyone are doing great, last week, I made a review about an old anime title Samurai Champloo and I felt it would be nice to talk about another old anime, something that can bring back good memories. This week, I would like to make a review comparing Hellsing 2001 and Hellsing Ultimate. For people who have watched it, you would know that this two anime are basically the same anime, same storyline, same characters but something about them are different. Let’s get to it.

   The First Hellsing was released in the year 2001- Hellsing (2001)

   While Hellsing Ultimate was released in 2006 Both series offer unique interpretations of the beloved character, but which one reigns supreme? I would say Hellsing Ultimate

   The Storyline

   Hellsing (2001) provides a more condensed and altered version of the story, with some notable changes to the plot and character interactions. While it still captures the essence of the manga, it feels rushed and lacking in depth. Hellsing Ultimate, on the other hand, remains faithful to the original manga, with a more extensive and detailed narrative that allows for better character development and a more immersive experience. I’m sure the animator saw the reaction from the fans and understood that this isn’t what they wanted. Hellsing made the anime look more like a child’s play but hellsing has more detail and it’s much more understandable. I watched the hellsing 2001 first, I found it hard to enjoy but after Hellsing ultimate came out, even after knowing what will happen, I enjoyed every bit of Hellsing ultimate.

   Character Development

   In Hellsing (2001), Alucard's character feels somewhat watered down, lacking the depth and complexity seen in Ultimate. His wit, sarcasm, and menacing presence are still evident but are not as pronounced as in Ultimate. I’m Hellsing, it showed how powerful Alucard, his master and apprentice are. Hellsing ultimate showcases his intriguing personality, exploring his past and motivations more effectively. His interactions with Seras Victoria and Integra Hellsing are also more nuanced in Ultimate. In Hellsing 2001, Seras Victoria felt weak and always rely on Alucard help but in Hellsing ultimate, Sera’s shows how dangerous she can be especially when the vampires killed the soldiers she was fighting along side with. Integra showed no fear in the face of danger in ultimate showing how strong will she is.

   Also, in Hellsing ultimate we got to see more characters than we saw in the first Hellsing making the anime look different and more enjoyable.

   Animation and Art Style

   Hellsing Ultimate boasts improved animation and art quality, with vibrant colors, fluid action sequences, and stunning visuals. The 2001 series has a more dated look, with some rough animation and a less refined art style. However, it still maintains a dark and gothic atmosphere, fitting for the series' tone. Let’s say the more advance technology get, the more the better animation we get. Hellsing 2001

   Hellsing Ultimate

   Conclusion

   Hellsing Ultimate is the superior adaptation, offering a more authentic and engaging experience. While the 2001 series has its charm, Ultimate's faithfulness to the source material, enhanced production values, and better character development make it the better choice for fans of Alucard and the Hellsing series. If you're new to the series, start with Ultimate for the best representation of Alucard's captivating story. Anyways, you can act like me who watched the 2001 version first before watching the ultimate version. If you want to enjoy the two version of Hellsing, watch Hellsing 2001 first before moving to Hellsing Ultimate.

   Hi, dear Hive users! How's it going?✨

   I finally watched an anime that I wanted to see for a long time but for many reasons I hadn't seen it yet. Hellsing Ultimate is a series of OVAs (story add-ons) that contrary to the anime series, this animation is much more faithful to the manga. It only consists of ten chapters however these are much longer than usual, each one lasting about forty to fifty minutes, so they are like a series of movies.

   Today I will give you my opinion about this anime so warning: it might contain some spoilers ☠️.

   The Hellsing organization. A generational giant also known as "The Order of the Royal Protestant Knights" in charge of neither more nor less than the extermination of vampires and demons. Its management has been carried out by the descendants of the great Hellsing family, currently being Sir Integra Fairbook Wingates Hellsing the head of the organization who also assumes this role when she was only 12 short years old, but with the death of her father she had no other option but to assume her corresponding role. The leader of the Protestants. The last descendant of Hellsing.

   Integra must now protect England and the great crown from all threats and for this she has Walter C. Dornez as her right hand, and that being with whom she meets abruptly, without imagining that a creature like him existed as well as is also under her mandate: Alucard, the first vampire, the origin of everything who was captured by Hellsing 100 years ago and who is now at Integra's complete disposal.

   So Hellsing must face the supernatural world and its constant threats, but despite having the great Alucard, not everything will be easy...

   The characters

   Seras Victoria

   The comic relief of the plot. A girl at first innocent, sweet but with a certain strong personality, after all she is a police officer. Due to an unfortunate operation she runs into Alucard who turns her into a vampire. As everything happens so quickly in addition to being a neophyte with zero knowledge, she shows incredible adaptability and resilience since she experienced many traumatic events from a very young age. Being a vampire wasn't the worst thing that had happened to her.

   Later we see how she develops more character and impetus, empowering herself and taking the reins of her life while continuing to be the loyal and kind girl. I really liked this simple character but very well done.

   Alucard

   The protagonist of everything, the king of demons, the Nosferatu, the first of all and who would subdue them all... If he wanted to. He is an interesting character who moves out of personal interest even though he pretends that he submits to orders. There is no being more powerful than him and that, in reality, no one questions.

   Narcissistic, calculating, manipulative, arrogant and indifferent, but prey to his very existence and how empty he is now... Or he has always been.

   Nothing to say other than that he is a complete wonderful character.

   Walter and Integra

   Despite being protagonists, they seem to me to be the most boring in all of history. Walter is a cliché, whimsical and deceitful character but he really doesn't add much to the plot. I think without him the story continues smoothly. As for Integra being merely an embellishment, she doesn't really make a decision of her own, rather she is induced by Alucard's meticulously curated words. She just subconsciously humors him. She seems to me a flat character, almost filler.

   Alexander Anderson

   Alucard's counterpart. He seems to me an interesting character since despite defending religious ideals he borders on the limit between what is good and evil for him as assuming a sacrifice to overcome said evil. But to what extent is what he did right? How much is he different from Alucard?...

   I like that he is not scrupulous or prudent because he generates that contrast between what he is supposed to stand for and what he actually does. It is a perfect complement to Alucard.

   My opinion

   If you like vampires, ghouls, etc., you will like this anime. And if you also like things gore and explicit, you're totally going to love it. It's certainly not entertainment for everyone and it has some scenes as well as themes that are quite difficult to digest , so nothing for sensitive people.

   On the other hand, I love how strange the plot is because as you keep going you discover that the origin of everything is not exactly what you think and not only that but it is something completely unexpected. The writer really had imagination. I won't tell you why I'm saying it because that would be the biggest spoiler of all, but believe me the plot is so bizarre and so well done that it's still great entertainment at all times. You don't really even notice that the chapters are long.

   Also about animation style, it's a jewel to me, since despite clearly being an anime and having an anime/manga style, the lines are strong and thick, which is more reminiscent of a comic. Thus they created a kind of hybrid that is perfectly fused.

   So if you are looking for something different to watch, with bizarre themes but excellently worked and relatively short, this is the anime for you☠️❤️.

   Por fin ví un anime que quería ver desde hace un montón de tiempo pero por cuestiones de la vida aún no había visto. Hellsing Ultimate es una serie de OVA (complementos de la historia) que contrario a la serie de anime, esta animación es mucho más fiel al manga. Consta sólo de diez capítulos sin embargo estos son mucho más largos de lo usual, cada uno de unos cuarenta a cincuenta minutos así que son como una serie de películas.

   La trama

   La organización Hellsing. Un gigante generacional también conocido como "La Orden de los Caballeros Protestantes Reales" encargada ni más ni menos que del exterminio de vampiros y demonios. Su dirección ha sido llevada por los descendientes de la gran familia Hellsing, actualmente siendo Sir Integra Fairbook Wingates Hellsing la jefa de la organización quien además asume este rol teniendo apenas 12 cortos años, pero con la muerte de su padre ella no tuvo otra opción más que asumir su correspondiente rol. La líder de los protestantes. La última descendiente de Hellsing.

   Integra debe ahora proteger Inglaterra y la gran corona de toda amenaza y para ello cuenta con Walter C. Dornez su mano derecha, y aquel ser con quien se encuentra de forma abrupta, sin imaginar que una criatura como él existía así como también está bajo su mandato: Alucard, el primer vampiro, el origen de todo que fue capturado por Hellsing hacía 100 años atrás y quien ahora está a completa disposición de Integra.

   La organización persigue su único fin, sin embargo existen otras organizaciones que desean derrocar a Hellsing, unos como la Sección XIII Iscariote, del Vaticano o la extraña Millennium. La organización comienza a ser atacada y las cosas empiezan a salirse de control. En el curso de eventos nos presentan a Seras Victoria, una oficial policial que se encuentra (quizá) en el momento y lugar indicado porque es convertida por Alucard en su propia descendiente, por tanto su aliada.

   Así Hellsing debe afrontar el mundo sobrenatural y sus amenazas constantes, pero apesar de contar con el gran Alucard no todo será sencillo...

   Los personajes

   Seras Victoria

   El alivio cómico de la trama. Una chica al principio inocente, dulce aunque con cierto carácter, después de todo es una policía. Debido a un operativo desafortunado se topa con Alucard quien la convierte en vampiro. Al ocurrir todo tan rápido además de ser una neófita con nulo conocimiento, demuestra una adaptabilidad y resiliencia increíble puesto que desde muy joven vivió muchos eventos traumáticos. Ser vampiro no era lo peor que le había ocurrido.

   Más adelante vemos cómo desarrolla más carácter e ímpetu, empoderándose y tomando las riendas de su vida, sin dejar de ser la chica leal y amable. Realmente me agradó mucho este personaje sencillo pero muy bien logrado.

   Alucard

   El protagonista de todo, el rey de los demonios, el Nosferatu, el primero de todos y quien los sometería a todos... Si quisiera. Es un personaje interesante que se mueve por interés personal aunque pretenda que se somete a órdenes. No hay ser más poderoso que él y eso, en realidad, nadie lo cuestiona.

   Narcisista, calculador, manipulador, prepotente e indiferente, pero presa de su propia existencia y lo vacía que ahora es... O que siempre ha sido.

   Nada que decir aparte de que es una completa maravilla de personaje.

   Walter e Integra

   A pesar de ser protagonistas me parecen los más aburridos de toda la historia. Walter es un personaje cliché, caprichoso y engañoso pero qué realmente no aporta mucho a la trama. Creo que sin él, la historia continúa sin problemas. En cuanto a Integra es simplemente un adorno, realmente no toma una decisión verdaderamente propia, sino que es inducida por las palabras meticulosamente cuidadas de Alucard. Ella sólo le sigue la corriente inconscientemente. Me parece un personaje plano, casi de relleno.

   Alexander Anderson

   La contraparte de Alucard. Me parece un personaje interesante puesto que a pesar de defender ideales religiosos roza el límite entre lo que para él es el bien y el mal como asumiendo un sacrificio para vencer dicho mal. Pero ¿hasta qué punto lo que hizo está bien? ¿Qué tanto se diferencia él de Alucard?...

   Me agrada que no sea escrupuloso ni prudente porque genera ese contraste entre lo que se supone que defiende y lo que verdaderamente hace. Es un complemento perfecto para Alucard.

   Mi opinión

   Si te gustan los temas de vampiros, ghouls, etc, este anime te va a gustar. Y si además te gusta lo gore y explícito, te va a encantar totalmente. Ciertamente no es entretenimiento para cualquiera y tiene algunas escenas además de temáticas bastante difíciles de digerir, así que nada apto para personas sensibles.

   Por otra parte me encanta lo extraña que es la trama porque a medida que vas avanzando descubres que el origen de todo no es exactamente el que se piensa y no sólo eso, sino que es algo completamente inesperado. El escritor realmente tuvo imaginación. No les diré porqué lo digo porque ese sería el spoiler más grande de todos, pero créanme que la trama es tan bizarra y está tan bien hecha que no deja de ser un entretenimiento genial en todo momento. Realmente ni siquiera notas que los capítulos son largos.

   Además a nivel de estilo de animación me parece una joya, ya que a pesar de claramente ser un anime y tener estilo de anime/manga, las líneas son fuertes y gruesas lo que recuerda más a un cómic. Así crearon una especie de híbrido que está perfectamente fusionado.

   ¡Bienvenidos mis panas amantes de las historias animadas, y en este caso particular, de los vampiros! ¿Como están? espero de corazón que se encuentren bien! y con ganas de hablar de una de las obras vampiricas más relevantes de este medio, hablo de ni menos que de Hellsing y por su puesto, de Hellsing Ultimate ambas versiones del manga de Kota Hirano y que trata en general, sobres las vivencias y situaciones que se se presentan a una organización dedicada a tratar con amenazas de carácter paranormal, llamada Hellsing, no obstante, la historia va a caer en principio sobre los hombros de Alucard, un vampiro sumamente poderoso que ira sumando más enemigos que aliados cada vez que sale de cacería... ¿Que es lo que hizo del Hellsing algo verdaderamente destacable? ¿Es una obra sobrevalorada? ¿Cual version es la mejor para ver hoy en día? intentare como siempre, dar respuestas a estas interrogantes mis panas, pero mientras tanto, pónganse cómodos, y preparen algunas estacas por si las dudas, ¡Porque vamos a comenzar!

   Hellsing dio sus primeros en el mundo del anime a partir del 2001, cuando se estreno su primera serie y a decir verdad, tomando en cuenta el año y la temática tan original de la misma, no es difícil imaginarse el porque triunfo con éxito en su debut, pese a que hablamos del 2001 y la animación no era ni de lejos tan bueno como lo puede ser ahora, es una realidad que su estética y diseño de personajes, es lo que mas resaltaba a primera vista, tan solo en el primer capitulo, la figura enigmática de Alucard, nos deja ver que es un completo profesional en un labor de cazar criaturas de la noche, siendo efectivo, letal e por lo que se ve, inmortal, pues a pesar de recibir muchísimo daño, es capaz de regenerarse a si mismo en situaciones de combate, aunque decir "combate" en los primeros capitulo, seria más bien una ofensa, pues para Alucard, sus homologos vampiricos, no son más que patéticos intentos de acechadores de la noche, y lo demuestra cada vez que puede sin perder su característica elegancia.

   La primera versión pese a tener sus momentos brillantes para el momento, tenia una desventaja muy grande, y es el hecho de que había sido lanzado con una obra que no había terminado todavía, siendo esta la consecuencia, de que parte de la obra, se sintiera medianamente consistente al material original (Con evidentes cambios pero coherente al menos con su propia historia) en la mitad de la serie, pero en su otra mitad, empezaran a inventar su propia historia... que hace que se vea bastante mediocre en comparación con su versión posterior, es a esto a lo que me refiero que muchos fans no quedaron satisfechos cuando se comparaba la obra ya finalizada con la adaptación del 2001 , pero aun con esas, me sigue pareciendo entretenida a día de hoy, pues siento que tiene un inicio mucho más calmado, con una exploración más humana del personaje de Seras con temor latente a perder su humanidad, no obstante, Hellsing Ultimate, desmotro el verdadero potencial que tiene la obra de Kota Hirano

   Se convirtió en un hecho que Hellsing, era una obra de la más alta calidad en el 2006 cuando salieron sus OVAS, y dios santo mi hermano, aquí se noto que si se sudaron las manos animando varias escenas a un nivel que rozaban lo magistral, en esta versión, aparte de ser más explicitas, sangrientas y compleja, gozaba de una estética mejorada, con muchos más detalles en los personajes que se apreciaban en casi todo momento de las OVAs y claro, con una extensión mas que generosa, fue mucho más lo que se exploro a los personajes de este secreto y paranormal mundo, que para sorpresa de nadie, recae de la mejor manera es en Seras Victoria, antes conocida como la mujer policía a secas.

   Seras es por lejos, el personaje al que mas se le nota que le beneficio los minutos extra en los OVA, en esta versión a su personaje le conocemos muchas facetas, una más tétrica y oscura acorde con la temática de Hellsing, llegando a incluso trastornar un poco su personalidad inicial, algo que me encanto muchísimo, desarrollo de personaje del bueno mis panas, pero no es la única, en una nota general, casi todos los que salen en la versión del 2001, se vuelven encarnaciones mucho más complejas, con distintas motivaciones y traumas que los han llevado a estar inmersos en ese mundo lleno de criaturas y entidades que operan fuera del foco publico, otro elemento que también suma es el componente religioso, pues Hellsing no es la única organización dedicada a la purga de criaturas de ultratumba rivalizando principalmente con la Iglesia Católica, algo que llevara a un conflicto mucho más grande con la historia más avanzada.

   Hellsing a mi parecer, es una tremenda Joya de anime que se vuelve bastante enrevesada cada vez que te vas metiendo más y mas en su mundo, tiene giros en la trama que uno nunca se va a esperar y mucha, pero mucha sangre y violencia, como toda obra vampirica que se respete tiene que ser, creo que ambas gozan de puntos positivos en general, pues tampoco me parece que la versión del 2001 sea algo horrendo, pero si tienes que quedar con alguna de las dos, sin dudas, los OVAs son las joyas de la corona de este universo, sin menospreciar el trabajo previo, Hellsing es una experiencia muy entretenida, algunas veces bizarro y raro, pero genial, se la recomendaria a cualqueira que busque algo relacionado con el Vampirismo si ya se vio castlevania, no tengo dudas de que las OVAs cumplirán las expectativas de quien lo vea, aprobado por Franzz.

   Hellsing, in my opinion, is a tremendous jewel of anime that becomes quite convoluted every time you get more and more into its world, it has twists in the plot that you would never expect and lots and lots of blood and violence, as any self-respecting vampiric work has to be, I think both have positive points in general, because I don't think that the 2001 version is something horrendous either, but if you have to choose between the two, without a doubt, the OVAs are the crown jewels of this universe, without underestimating the previous work, Hellsing is a very entertaining experience, sometimes bizarre and weird, but great, I would recommend it to anyone looking for something related to Vampirism if you have already seen castlevania, I have no doubt that the OVAs will meet the expectations of those who see it, approved by Franzz.

    Ai have found this awesome Hellsing Original Soundtrack album in my collection of CD's and I thought why not share it with the world? I wonder if anyone still remembers this series. It was dark and blooding basically the predecisor of tokyo ghoul before zombies became mainstream, it was vampires first who became mainstream in the anime world!

    En mi vida he tenido la oportunidad de ver muchos animes de buena calidad pero han sido pocos con la altura de Hellsing Ultimate. Y lo digo por muchos factores, por el nivel tan profundo de su historia que nos lleva a una trama un poco particular y llena de morbo, porque estamos ante un anime que definitivamente no es para niños dado lo sangriento que es y porque al final cumple su función la cual es entretener y lo hace de manera excepcional.

    In my life I have had the opportunity to watch many good quality anime but few have been as good as Hellsing Ultimate.     Pero en esta serie además de los vampiros hay otros retos con que la organización Hellsing tiene que lidiar, de hecho son dos. El primero de ellos es un grupo de fanáticos religiosos pertenecientes al Vaticano y el segundo es otro grupo pero de separatistas nazi, cada uno de ellos con sus objetivos bien marcados darán la lucha contra Integra, Alucard y toda la organización Hellsing.

Haber podido mezclar elementos como la iglesia de la mano del Vaticano, un movimiento nazi que no es secreto que hizo muchos pactos con la misma iglesia y además todo el tema de los vampiros con la historia de Drácula es algo que de verdad le un plus muy bueno y grande a esta joya del anime.

    Si tuviera que resumir en muy pocas palabras lo que al final es esta historia creo que sería un "Terror teológico". Porque es eso, a lo largo de la trama veremos muchos conflictos que tienen que ver con las creencias, con la fe, con sobre quien es el verdadero Dios, si en nombre de él se puede hacer lo que sea y el papel de los humanos en medio de estas luchas. Verán muchos elementos históricos importantes que para los que conocemos tan solo un poco de la historia universal del mundo es demás interesante.

    Y no me malinterpreten, todo es una joya que disfruté al máximo. Estas historias de este tipo hoy en día se siguen viendo pero no con tanta frecuencia como quisiéramos a pesar de que este anime tiene más de 10 años de haber sido publicado; porque si, esto no es nuevo. Pero siguiendo con el repaso otro de los puntos realmente fuertes y como ya es costumbre en el anime es la calidad de animación, a pesar de que estamos hablando de hace más de una década.

    And don't get me wrong, the whole thing is a gem that I enjoyed to the fullest. These stories of this type are still seen today but not as often as we would like despite the fact that this anime is more than 10 years old; because yes, this is not new. But continuing with the review another of the really strong points and as usual in the anime is the quality of animation, even though we are talking about more than a decade ago.

    La combinación del slow motion, las escenas en 3D y lo realista que es porque poco se habla de esto pero para que sea realmente impactante y visual tiene que haber coherencia en las animaciones y acá esas son cosas que no fallan. A mi parecer la cantidad de puntos que suma un anime cuanto este está bien animado son bastantes ya que más allá de la historia y su trasfondo los fanáticos realmente juzgamos un poco más por la vista.

    The combination of slow motion, 3D scenes and how realistic it is because little is said about this but to be really impressive and visual there has to be coherence in the animations and here those are things that do not fail. In my opinion, the amount of points that an anime adds when it is well animated is quite a lot because beyond the story and its background, fans really judge it a little more by sight.

    En fin, un anime con una historia muy atractiva en donde veremos personajes muy interesantes y complejos, el Mayor Nazi y Alexander Anderson por ejemplo, que nos envolverá en una especie de burbuja religiosa/histórica/violenta en donde solo los más aptos saldrán bien parados. Una historia que también me di cuenta que plantea y cuestiona el papel del ser humano en estas batallas y guerras, algo que de verdad nos pone mucho a pensar y eso se agradece, que no todo se reduzca a sangre y mutilaciones.

    In short, an anime with a very attractive story where we will see very interesting and complex characters, Major Nazi and Alexander Anderson for example, which will wrap us in a kind of religious/historical/violent bubble where only the fittest will come out well. 12. ›Hellsing - Horror-Esque Anime At It's Best (Review)@isyeda1781d

    I've always been a fan of horror movies, and so when I see horror and anime mixed than it's hard to keep me away. Now when I heard of the anime series Hellsing, I was intrigued, but after watching anime based around vampires (Vampire Hunter D for example) I wasn't much too impressed with the idea. It's not that Vampire Hunter D was a terrible movie, I just didn't think it was anything incredible when all was said and done. I've also never been a fan of vampire films (I did however love Nosferatu) and so it's only natural that I pass this one up. Well, I finally gave in. In my typical fashion, I ordered the box set without even having seen a single episode. Does this vampiric series achieve a high level of entertainment, or does it suck... blood?

    

    Hellsing: The Complete Collection

    Though anime isn't for everyone as a whole, there are certain levels of appreciation fanbases can experience for something more closely related to what they are acquainted with. For example, I'm sure that a big fan of comedies wouldn't have much trouble enjoying the Golden Boy series. In this sense, I'm sure that most horror fans would find themselves enjoying Hellsing, because Hellsing is similar to many horror movies. It deals with vampires, deaths, and quite a bit of gruesome violence. Though it's animated, I'm sure that your typical "gorehound" would find plenty to enjoy watching the animated blood spill. Hellsing is deeper than it may appear though, but you won't find this out until the later episodes in the series.

    Besides fans of horror films, I think that fans of vampire based movies could also find a lot to enjoy about this release. Most vampire flicks seem to bring something new to the table, and even though Hellsing is a vampire series it is no different. One of the more interesting aspects to the series that I've noted is the fact that people can transform into blood sucking vampires through the use of a chip that is implanted into them. This makes for some interesting new vampiric elements, and this series seemed to really modernize the romantic notion of vampires. I really liked the idea of a Japanese artist picking up the idea of the Hellsing family from foreign cinema, and there are a lot of elements that seem to be taken from other horror films/stories from outside of Japan.

    

    Keep in mind that Hellsing is a pretty short series, clocking in at the length of only 13 episodes. While this works against the series when it comes to anime fanatics, casual viewers seem to prefer something that won't span across 300+ episodes. I personally find the number of episodes to be lacking, considering the fact that there's plenty of room for more character development. Each of the 13 episodes seems to be pretty much self contained, with few cliffhanger episodes. This works pretty well for this series, as each episode seems to deal with a different assignment for the main character to go along with. One good aspect is that the episodes flow nicely, one after the other.

    Story

    

    In Great Britain, the population of vampires has been on the rise lately. This is due partly because of a special chip on the market that can be used to change normal people into vampires. It is the duty of the Hellsing organization to kill these vampires, and the leader of this group, Sir Integra Hellsing (who is actually a woman, despite what I initially thought) will stop at nothing to kill these undead creatures. Hellsing's number one weapon is surprisingly enough, an incredibly strong and collected vampire named Alucard (guess what Alucard is backwards). The first episode introduces a police officer named Victoria as she has a run in with Alucard after she is taken hostage by Hellsing's target vampire. After making an agreement on the matter, Alucard shoots both Victoria and the vampire, but revives the "police girl" as a vampire after drinking her blood. Alucard is now the vampiric Victoria's master, and has the girl join the Hellsing corporation as the company's second hired vampire.

    A lot of the story after this deals with Victoria adjusting to the vampire's life. She struggles with the first few missions given to her, while trying to adjust to being a blood sucking creature of the undead. One of her more human problems was the fact that at first she had a really difficult time drinking the medical blood given to her, because she still viewed it as disgusting showing her human weaknesses. As one of the undead, she now has much more strength, better shooting accuracy, and she can't die as easily as the other humans. Her eyes also change from bright blue to bright red after the undead transformation begins, which I found to be a nice feature and pretty easy on the eyes overall. Alucard and Victoria are definitely forces to be reconned with in the Hellsing organization as they fight off the artificially created vampires with destructive weapons.

    

    Right away in the series I found myself cheering for Alucard. His character is one of the most interesting, and "coolest" vampire characters that I've ever seen, regardless of being animated or not. Visually the character has a really interesting appearance, with a large red overcoat and yellow tinted glasses. Despite having the appearance of evil, Alucard is an extremely likeable character which may have to do with the fact that he's a protagonist in the story. I also liked Victoria's character, because she adds a "human touch" to the vampire scene. She has fears, dreams, and she seems to really miss her family, whereas most of the other vampires seem to be purely evil and destructive. I also liked that the vampires had a modern element to their characters, in that some thought of vampirism as a sort of "high" that they can achieve.

    Despite being about vampires, Hellsing isn't too gruesome of a series. One of the things you'll notice is that it isn't incredibly graphic, with a decapitation and the losing of body parts being the worst as far as gore goes. There is plenty of blood though, and I found the blood sucking scenes to be done particularly well. The most graphic part of this anime series is it's language. You'll hear some pretty graphic stuff shouted out in certain scenes, specifically one with a vampire shouting what he's going to do to Integra once he reaches her. Hellsing is nothing particularly disgusting and since it's animated, you probably won't find yourself getting grossed out by any of this series' antics. There is a lot of shooting in this series, and dissolving vampires but nothing too bad.

    Now I rarely do this, but I'm going to recommend the English dub over the Japanese one. This is because the English dub is way above average as far as anime is concerned, with the transfer to English usually losing much in the transfer. This anime series takes place in Great Britain, and the Japanese dub feels a little out of place next to the English track, which features bitchin British accents. The English voice actors were also chosen wisely, and each of the voices seems to fit the characters well enough. Personally I prefer many of the voices of the English voice actors over the Japanese ones, especially Alucard and Victoria. Really you can't go wrong with either one of the languages, but the English dub seems a little more natural given where this anime series supposedly takes place, though the Japanese version is more anime authentic.

    

    The visuals in this series are stunning. One of the best parts of this series is the use of colors. Victoria's eyes are illuminated in an intense red color to display her vampirism, while the evening sky is illuminated in an array of blues that gives off a beautiful, yet eerie feeling. I also liked the color of Victoria's hair on the backdrops, as the brightly colored hair really stands out at times, and gives off an eerie visual experience when contrasted between her bright red eyes. Some of the most eerily beautiful effects are used when Alucard uses his real powers, involving darkness and many eyes spread amongst it. The character models were also really nicely done in this series, and everything seems to be nice and rounded. This is definitely one of the top visual experiences that I've seen when it comes to anime.

    Final Recommendation

    Hellsing: The Complete Collection is definitely worth a visit for fans of vampire flicks, horror movies, and dark anime.

    Hellsing was originally born from the manga of Kōta Hirano, which was published in the Shōnen Gahōsha in 1997 and ended in 2009, its first adaptation to the anime was dated by the studio Gonzo is counting with 13 episodes which only half of the adaptation follow the original story of the manga, After this point the studio decided to bring its own story because the manga was still in publication (a problem that has had many of the mangas and animes of which I spoke), for his luck was presented in the format of Ovas a version attached to the original story, this was made by different studies (including Madhouse and Satelight) in addition to the mangaka decided to present in 2001 a prequel called Hellsing: The Dawn.

    The story of this anime (or better said, eggs) introduces us to the Royal Protestant Knights, an organization created by Abraham Van Hellsing (and which is managed by his descendants throughout history) after having defeated Count Dracula. We are introduced to Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, the heiress of this organization, who not only inherited an organization in charge of protecting the queen and the entire country from supernatural threats, but also inherited the strongest vampire in history, Alucard, we are also introduced to police officer Seras Victoria who due to certain conditions will be directly connected to this organization (the spoiler of why she does it will remain for your curiosity haha), we will see these two characters confronting not only other vampires but an existing organization since the second world war called Millennium.

    Something incredible about this material is its relationship with the work of Bram Stoker, and that is that according to the author himself this work takes place in the same universe as the novel of this author along with the film of Francis Ford Coppola as we are also brought up with this film, We also have references to many other works of popular culture (the names of Alucard's and Victoria's weapons refer to different films) and I am also referred to Schrödinger's Cat Paradox and to literary works and even to alchemical writings.

    A warning that should be made that these eggs are loaded with gore at an extreme level, so if you are a little susceptible to see a lot of blood this is not the recommendation for you, if you have a little more tolerance and are a fan of vampires or want to see an anime of excellent animation and with a brutal story, I recommend that you give them a chance, without further ado (as it would be giving them a great spoiler) I hope you feel great and see you another time.

    La historia de este anime (o mejor dicho ovas) nos presenta a los Caballeros Protestantes Reales, una organización creada por Abraham Van Hellsing (y la cual es manejada por sus descendientes a través de la historia) luego de haber vencido al conde Drácula, se nos presenta a Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, la heredera de esta organización y es que no solo heredó a una organización encargada de proteger a la reina y a todo el país de amenazas sobrenaturales sino que también heredó el vampiro más fuerte de la historia, Alucard, se nos presenta también a la oficial de policía Seras Victoria que debido a ciertas condiciones se verá directamente conectada con esta organización (el spoiler de porque lo hace quedara para su curiosidad jaja), veremos a estos dos personajes enfrentarse no solo a otros vampiros sino a una organización existente desde la segunda guerra mundial llamada Millennium.

    Algo increíble de este material es su relación que tiene con la obra de Bram Stoker, y es que según el propio autor esta obra se desarrolla en el mismo universo que la novela de este autor junto con el de la película de Francis Ford Coppola ya que se nos hace alucion también a esta película, además que tenemos referencias a muchas otras obras de la cultura popular (el nombre de las armas de Alucard y de Victoria hacen referencia a diferentes películas) además de que también se me hace referencia a la paradoja del Gato de Schrödinger y a obras literarias y hasta a escritos alquímicos.

    Una advertencia que debe hacerse que estás ovas están cargadas de gore a nivel extremo, así que si son un poco susceptibles para ver muuucha sangre esta no es la recomendación para ustedes, si tienen un poco más de tolerancia y son fanáticos de los vampiros o quieren ver un anime de excelente animación y con una brutal historia, les recomiendo que les den una oportunidad, sin más que agregarles (ya que sería darles un gran spoiler) espero que se encuentren genial y nos vemos en otra oportunidad.

    Good evening everyone!

    I'm back with another little drawing here. Just wanted to do something quick so I figured I'd draw up a portrait of Integra from the anime Hellsing. My favourite out of allll the anime. :D

    

    What do you think? I'd like to do an awesome badass drawing of Alucard one of these days when I get a little better at drawing, cause I don't wanna screw it up.

    Here are the lines. Using the G-pen function on Clip Studio Paint.

    And then I laid down some flat colour, all sections separated on different layers so it's easier to shade them.

    And then from there I basically just used the dense and transparent watercolour brushes to lay down the shadow and highlights and blend it out. I also used the shadow airbrush with the mode multiply for the shadows, and the highlight airbrush with the mode dodge glow for the added highlights. :)

    I'm terrible at step by steps. But I'm going to enter another little drawing contest next and I'll make the process a little more thorough and well executed and clear. I promise.

    Hi Steemians! Here I am again with another article on manga read over the years! If I continue like this, I will soon be able to found my own section called "Fra's manga" or something like that ... Ok, stop it! Today I will talk about a manga titled Hellsing (original title: Herushingu) released in Japan in 1998 which is part of the category of seinen manga (comics that deal with very deep issues, generally referred to an adult audience as containing strong scenes) written and drawn from Kohta Hirano. Strange, but true if you want to deepen your knowledge on this mangaka, on the internet you will find informations! In Italy it is published by J-pop and consists of 10 tankobons.

    What does this manga talk about? It is set in London where the Hellsing family has been secretly working for its majesty for generations. Its task is to annihilate non-human creatures such as vampires, ghouls, etc. The last descendant of this family is Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing (which for convenience we will simply call Integra) which, of course, is the head of the homonymous agency. The most powerful weapon of the agency is the vampire Alucard who is employed by Integra. How do you say, a vampire who helps a human to exterminate other vampires? Yeah, that's right!

    In addition to Hellsing and Alucard, the Vatican also has its own para-military section which has the same function as the London agency, ie the elimination of non-dead creatures, this secret section of the Vatican is called "Iscariot Section XIII". As you have already guessed the religious element is very important in this manga, Section XIII is the Catholic equivalent of the Hellsing agency that is of Protestant origin, but the Vatican section is much more fanatical than the other one.

    Di cosa parla questo manga? E' ambientato a Londra dove da generazioni la famiglia Hellsing lavora segretamente al servizio di sua maestà. Il suo compito è quello di annientare creature non umane come vampiri, ghoul ecc... L'ultima discendente di questa famiglia è Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing (che per comodità chiameremo semplicemente Integra) che, ovviamente, è a capo dell'agenzia omonima. L'arma più potente dell'agenzia è il vampiro Alucard che è alle dipendenze della stessa Integra. Come direte voi, un vampiro che aiuta un'umana a sterminare altri vampiri? Già, è proprio così!

    Oltre a Hellsing e Alucard anche il Vaticano possiede una sua sezione di tipo para militare che ha lo stesso compito dell'agenzia londinese, cioè l'eliminazione delle creature non morte, questa sezione segreta del Vaticano si chiama “Iscariota Sezione XIII”. Come avrete già intuito l'elemento religioso è molto importante in questo manga, la sezione XIII è il corrispettivo cattolico dell'agenzia Hellsing che è di matrice protestante, la sezione del Vaticano però è molto più fanatica di quella londinese.

    ... ed infine dorso.

    Le fazioni si trovano a Londra costrette a dover fronteggiare un'orda di vampiri e ghoul mai viste prima, la città si troverà ad essere scenario di una guerra che arriverà a coinvolgere anche i nazisti... Ma basta non vi racconto di più, vi consiglio però vivamente di leggerlo! Nel caso non vi piacesse leggere, esiste anche la versione anime di 13 episodi e oltre a questa esiste anche la versione OAV chiamata Hellsing Ultimate di 10 episodi, uno per ogni tankobon e molto più fedele al manga. Entrambe le serie sono molto splatter, ma mai come il manga che contiene delle scene davvero molto forti. Per oggi è tutto, spero che il mio articolo vi sia piaciuto! Alla prossima!
