¡Hola amigos! Me sigo poniendo al día con algunas películas que tenía en mi lista de pendientes, en esta oportunidad le tocó el turno a La sustancia. Y acá les traigo mi reseña al respecto.

La historia sigue a una actriz muy exitosa que justo el día que cumple 50 años es despedida de su programa de televisión por ya estar pasada de edad, de belleza y de moda. Ella queda devastada y es ahí cuando se conectan con ella de un laboratorio secreto para ofrecerle la sustancia, una inyección que le garantiza transformarla en una versión mejorada de sí misma, donde las células del cuerpo se separan y crean a otra mucho más joven y hermosa. Así vivirá una doble vida, hasta que la otra empieza a tomar el control de su vida llevándola a un deterioro sin retorno y ahí tendrá que tomar una decisión drástica, que también la afectará a ella, para detenerla.

The story follows a very successful actress who just on her 50th birthday is fired from her TV show for being past her prime, past her beauty and past her prime. She is devastated and that is when they connect with her from a secret laboratory to offer her the substance, an injection that guarantees to transform her into an improved version of herself, where the body cells separate and create a much younger and more beautiful one. So she will live a double life, until the other begins to take control of her life leading her to a deterioration without return and then she will have to make a drastic decision, which will also affect her, to stop it.

Había evitado ver esta película en su momento por todos los comentarios que hubo al respecto contando casi toda la trama o las partes claves. También tenía cierta aversión porque leí que hubo gente que se desmayó en el cine o vomitó y me sugestiono. Lo bueno de verla es que pude constatar que algunos son muy flojos para las escenas sangrientas o yo tengo un estómago entrenado, quizás ambas. La cuestión es que si te impresionas fácilmente no veas esta película porque la podes pasar mal.

I had avoided seeing this movie at the time because of all the comments about it telling almost all the plot or key parts. I also had a certain aversion because I read that there were people who fainted in the theater or vomited and it got me suggestible. The good thing about seeing it is that I was able to ascertain that some people are too lazy for gory scenes or I have a trained stomach, maybe both. The point is that if you are easily impressed don't see this movie because you might have a bad time.

Volviendo a la trama, está claro que la película tiene una fuerte crítica social a todo lo que son los estándares de belleza y lo que son capaces de hacer las mujeres para verse jóvenes de nuevo, y no solo mujeres, también puede afectar a los hombres, en menor medida pero los hay. Cómo son capaces de poner en riesgo sus vidas por una promesa que no te da garantías de nada porque claramente puede salir mal.

Returning to the plot, it is clear that the film has a strong social criticism to all that are the standards of beauty and what women are capable of doing to look young again, and not only women, it can also affect men, to a lesser extent but there are. A mí me llamó mucho la atención la poca información con la que contaba la actriz de esta sustancia y lo arriesgada que fue para inyectarse así sin más, y encima todo lo otro. Tampoco había muchas instrucciones de cómo proceder, me pareció medio fantasioso que supiera todo lo que tenía que hacer con las herramientas dadas, ya que no había mucha más información de lo que tenía que hacer con ellas. Fue algo instintivo.

I was very struck by how little information the actress had about this substance and how risky she was to inject herself just like that, and on top of everything else. There were also not many instructions on how to proceed, I thought it was a bit fanciful that she knew everything she had to do with the given tools, since there was not much more information on what she had to do with them. It was an instinctive thing.

Visualmente me pareció increíble, hay muy buenas producciones de este estilo. Quizá es un poco más grotesca y gore que otras, pero me parece que cada cuadro seguía su función. También me agrado el apartado sonoro, sin dudas, en el cine se debe de haber apreciado más, ya que resaltan los sonidos de los ambientes para generar mayor impacto e incomodidad.

Visually I found it incredible, very good productions of this style. Perhaps it is a little more grotesque and gore than others, but it seems to me that each frame followed its function. I also liked the sound section, without a doubt, in the cinema it should have been appreciated more, since they highlight the sounds of the environments to generate greater impact and discomfort.

Me pareció una historia muy interesante y logró atraparme desde el inicio. Es un poco larga, más de dos horas de película, pero se me pasaron rápido. No la sentí pesada ni nada, al contrario, quería saber cómo iba a resultar todo al final. Este fue muy grotesco también, quedé muy sorprendida, la verdad que las escenas finales si estuvieron sacadas desde mis pesadillas, eran bastante impresionantes. Pero bueno, considero que tuvo un buen cierre.

I found it a very interesting story and it managed to grab me from the beginning. It's a bit long, more than two hours of movie, but it went by fast. I didn't feel it was heavy or anything, on the contrary, I wanted to know how everything was going to turn out in the end. This one was also very grotesque, I was very surprised, the truth is that the final scenes were really taken from my nightmares, they were quite impressive. But well, I think it had a good ending.

Aunque la película no explica muchas cosas, deja todo a la libre interpretación y creo que su principal objetivo fue el que nombre al principio: hacer una crítica social a los estándares de belleza. Fue una muy buena película para reflexionar acerca de este tema. 

Although the film doesn't explain many things, it leaves everything to free interpretation and I think its main objective was the one I named at the beginning: to make a social criticism of beauty standards. It was a very good film to reflect on this topic.

All Valley Karate Tournament. 1984. After the surprises that happened in the Sekai Taikai championship, Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai need to put a stone in the past and find a way to move forward (together or on opposite sides).

The final episodes of the sixth (and final) season arrive on the streaming channel on the 13th, and certainly a legion of fans (and here I obviously include myself) are eagerly waiting to see everything that is hidden in the five episodes of the conclusion. of this exciting saga. Personally speaking, I'm a big fan of the first three movies and I was very surprised to see how much the TV series managed to be faithful to the source material without being totally tied to it (i.e., it had the courage to insert a lot of new elements and create its own identity to a whole new generation of fans around the world). I hate to see these successful project cycles come to an end... On the other hand, even good things must face this fate.

Personalmente, soy un gran admirador de las tres primeras películas y me sorprendió mucho ver hasta qué punto la serie de televisión logró ser fiel al material original sin estar totalmente ligada a él (es decir, tuvo el coraje de insertar un muchos elementos nuevos y crear su propia identidad para toda una nueva generación de fans en todo el mundo). Odio ver que estos ciclos de proyectos exitosos llegan a su fin... Por otro lado, incluso las cosas buenas deben enfrentar este destino.

Nas emoções finais, nós iremos os destinos dos personagens dentro e fora do tatame, desde um futuro incerto até um futuro mais sólido. O trailer final traz uma prévia extremamente instigante e emotiva.

Particularmente falando, eu sou um grande fã dos três primeiros filmes e fiquei muito surpreso ao ver o quanto a série de TV conseguiu ser fiel ao material original sem ficar totalmente preso a ele (ou seja, teve a coragem de inserir muitos elementos novos e criar à sua própria identidade para toda uma nova geração de fãs mundo à fora). Eu odeio ver esses ciclos de projetos bem sucedidos chegando ao fim... Por outro lado, até as coisas boas precisam enfrentar esse destino.

In my top of the best films of last year without discussion is Anora. It was one of my early favorites before awards season started. Sean Baker is a master when it comes to portraying marginalized characters. His filmography is not as extensive as others, but all of his films are wonderful. His name is not well known by the masses, but within the independent circuit he has already carved out a great career.

Starlet, Tangerine, The Florida Project and Red Rocket are his previous works that everyone should seek out and see. Stories with very human and underdog characters. This is also the nature of Anora. Characters that are easy to empathize with, complex and human enough to feel identified with in some way, even if you have no relation to what they do in those stories.

I think Anora is giving Baker more international exposure and I hope that more audiences can enjoy his productions. His characters are neither good nor bad, the filmmaker also writes the scripts of his films and endows the characters with humanity. In Anora that produces many beautiful scenes. Moreover, in this film he also mixes different film genres, which makes it very entertaining to watch.

What there is no doubt about is how much fun Anora is. The film lasts more than two hours but it doesn't get tiring, too many things happen and both in structure and cinematic rhythm it is perfect. Even in the moments when everything seems to turn into a thriller and there is violence, they are still hilarious moments. I had a great time with this movie.

En mi top de las mejores películas del año pasado sin discusión está Anora. Fue una de mis primeras favoritas antes de que empezara la temporada de premios. Sean Baker es un maestro a la hora de retratar personajes marginados. Su filmografía no es tan extensa como la de otros, pero todas sus películas son maravillosas. Su nombre no es muy conocido por las masas, pero dentro del circuito independiente ya se ha labrado una gran carrera.

Starlet, Tangerine, The Florida Project y Red Rocket son sus trabajos anteriores que todo el mundo debería buscar y ver. Historias con personajes muy humanos y desvalidos. Esta es también la naturaleza de Anora. Personajes con los que es fácil empatizar, complejos y lo suficientemente humanos como para sentirte identificado de alguna manera, aunque no tengas ninguna relación con lo que hacen en esas historias.

Creo que Anora está dando a Baker una mayor proyección internacional y espero que más público pueda disfrutar de sus producciones. Sus personajes no son ni buenos ni malos, el cineasta también escribe los guiones de sus películas y dota a los personajes de humanidad. En Anora eso produce muchas escenas hermosas. Además, en esta película también mezcla diferentes géneros cinematográficos, lo que hace que sea muy entretenida de ver.

De lo que no cabe duda es de lo divertida que es Anora. La película dura más de dos horas pero no cansa, pasan demasiadas cosas y tanto en estructura como en ritmo cinematográfico es perfecta. Incluso en los momentos en los que todo parece convertirse en un thriller y hay violencia, no dejan de ser momentos divertidísimos. Me lo pasé muy bien con esta película.

Love is complicated, love is hard, love is a business. For some, the film demolishes the idea of many that life is like a fantastic Cinderella story. There is no happily ever after. He is an immature young man in the extreme, who only wants to fuck, drink and play video games. He is a boy in a man's body. Getting entangled and marrying a prostitute will be the trigger of the conflict.

I saw no love between them. She just sees an opportunity to have everything she wants. Money, clothes, jewelry. What many women look for, a handsome and millionaire man who gives her everything she wants (nowadays many get a millionaire, but old and fat) For him it is just a good time, a game since he is a perfect idiot. In none of the sex scenes between them I could feel love. He even fucks badly, he is an asshole with money. Anora just pretends pleasure, it's perceived in all those scenes. So genuine love between these characters does not exist, true love will arise spontaneously but with someone else.

No hay felices para siempre. La película también ha sido calificada por otros como la cara b de Pretty Woman. Para mí es la Pretty Woman de la generación Z y con un desenlace más acorde con la realidad.

Puede que Anora, la protagonista, sienta algo de afecto por Vanya. Pero al final sólo se trata de dinero. Es una prostituta joven, guapa y encantadora. Pero desde el primer momento en que la vemos en pantalla, su motivación es el dinero. Es prostituta, una que sabe manipular muy bien a los hombres para conseguir lo que quiere. No es una santa, no es una villana, sólo es una mujer que busca alcanzar el sueño americano y tener mucho dinero. ¿No es eso lo que quiere el 99% de la gente?

Vanya es una niña mimada. Nació millonario, sus padres son gente importante en Rusia y él pasa una temporada en Estados Unidos. Disfrutando del dinero de sus padres. Es un joven inmaduro en extremo, que sólo quiere follar, beber y jugar a videojuegos. Es un niño en el cuerpo de un hombre. Enredarse y casarse con una prostituta será el detonante del conflicto.

No vi amor entre ellos. Ella sólo ve una oportunidad de tener todo lo que quiere. Dinero, ropa, joyas. Lo que muchas mujeres buscan, un hombre guapo y millonario que le de todo lo que ella quiere. ( hoy dia muchas consiguen un millonario, pero viejo y gordo) Para él es sólo un buen momento, un juego ya que es un perfecto idiota. En ninguna de las escenas de sexo entre ellos pude sentir amor. Incluso folla mal, es un pendejo con plata. Anora solo finge placer, se percibe en todas esas escenas. Asi que el amor genuino entre estos personajes no existe, el verdadero amor surgirá de forma espontanea pero con otro.

Mickey Madison looks lovely. A star is born with this film. He builds his character in a fantastic way, giving him toughness and candor at the same time. It is impossible not to be fascinated by her character and her performance. Between her and Demi Moore should be the Oscar winner. When you see her, you will realize the interpretative difference between her and the one who is pushing for a nomination in the best actress category (I'm sure you know who I mean). By the way, I saw a news where they criticized the actress because she asked not to need an intimacy director in the sex scenes. Something I applaud. That figure of intimacy directors seems idiotic to me.

The rest of the cast is fabulous. Mark Eydelshteyn plays Vanya and does it so well it makes you slap that asshole. Yuriy Borisov, who is also nominated for an Oscar, will mesmerize everyone with his character of Igor. Karren Karagulian and Vache Tovmasyan are the other two who star in hilarious scenes.

Mickey Madison está encantadora. Ha nacido una estrella con esta película. Construye su personaje de forma fantástica, dándole dureza y candidez al mismo tiempo. Es imposible no sentirse fascinado por su personaje y su interpretación. Entre ella y Demi Moore debería estar la ganadora del Oscar. Cuando la veas , te percataras de la diferencia interpretativa entre ella y quien esta uruspando una nominación en esa categoria de mejor actriz (seguro que sabes a quien me refiero). Por cierto, vi una noticia donde criticaban a la actriz porque pidió no necesitar un director de intimidad en las escenas de sexo. Algo que aplaudo. Esa figura de los directores de intimidad me parece una idiotez.

El resto del reparto es fabuloso. Mark Eydelshteyn interpreta a Vanya y lo hace tan bien que te hace abofetear a ese imbécil. Yuriy Borisov, que también está nominado al Oscar, fascinará a todos con su personaje de Igor. Karren Karagulian y Vache Tovmasyan son los otros dos que protagonizan escenas divertidísimas.

This French movie (which has Netflix as its main distributor in the United States, making it the company's biggest bet) was partially written by Jacques Audiard, and also directed by him. In the plot, a lawyer whose work is unrecognized within a law firm focused on freeing criminals ends up having her services hired by a leader of a criminal organization who has a relatively bold and peculiar request. In addition to the movie having French nationality, telling a Mexican story, it stars an American cast and even though it is a movie spoken almost 100% in Spanish, it has been considered an international film.

Llevaba algún tiempo planeando escribir sobre este tema, pero cada vez que empezaba a escribir, terminaba sucediendo algo polémico. Entonces, preferí esperar a que todo este “polvo se asiente” para poder estructurar mejor mi texto y expresar mis pensamientos sobre todo lo que ha estado sucediendo. Aún sin haber visto Emília Pérez, confieso que ya le tenía disgusto por el gran concepto de confusión cinematográfica que supone (una vez más vemos a Hollywood apropiándose de historias de otros países para hacer una versión americanizada).

Esta película francesa (que tiene a Netflix como principal distribuidora en Estados Unidos, lo que la convierte en la mayor apuesta de la compañía) fue escrita en parte por Jacques Audiard, y también dirigida por él. En la trama, una abogada cuyo trabajo no es reconocido dentro de un despacho centrado en liberar a delincuentes termina siendo contratada por un líder de una organización criminal que tiene una petición relativamente audaz y peculiar. Además de que la película tiene nacionalidad francesa, cuenta una historia mexicana, tiene un elenco estadounidense y aunque es una película hablada casi 100% en español, ha sido considerada una película internacional.

El elenco principal está conformado por nombres como Zoe Saldana, Selena Gomez y Karla Sofía Gascón, siendo esta última el nombre más popular dentro de la película no solo por el tema que lleva como tema principal, sino por ser la primera actriz transexual. estar nominada al Oscar en la categoría de Mejor Actriz. Creo que hasta que se celebre la próxima edición de los Oscar aún pueden pasar muchas cosas y hasta entonces Netflix debe tener un plan para contener los posibles daños que aún podrían surgir de toda esta confusión. De hecho, Gascón incluso desactivó una de sus cuentas de redes sociales para ocultar verdades y escapar de los ataques públicos (destacando las posibles polémicas que aún podría liderar). Então, eu preferi esperar toda essa “poeira baixar” para eu poder estruturar melhor o meu texto e expor os meus pensamentos sobre tudo o que vem acontecendo. Mesmo sem ainda ter assistido Emília Pérez, eu confesso que já tinha antipatia por ele pela grande concepção de confusão cinematográfica que ele é (uma vez mais vemos hollywood se apropriando das histórias dos outros países para fazer uma versão americanizada).

Esse filme francês (que tem a Netflix como principal distribuidora nos Estados Unidos, tornando-se a maior aposta da empresa) parcialmente escrito por Jacques Audiard, e também dirigido por ele. Na trama, uma advogada que tem seu o trabalho não reconhecido dentro de um escritório de advocacia focado em libertar criminosos acaba tendo os seus serviços contratados por um líder de uma organização criminosa que tem um pedido relativamente ousado e peculiar. Além do filme ser ter nacionalidade francesa, contar uma história mexicana, ele é protagonizado por elenco americano e mesmo sendo um filme falando quase que 100% em espanhol, ele vem sendo considerado como filme internacional.

O elenco principal é composto por nomes como Zoe Saldana, Selena Gomez e Karla Sofía Gascón, sendo esta última o nome mais popular dentro do filme não apenas pela temática que ele carrega como tema principal, mas pelo fato dela ser a primeira atriz transsexual a ser indicada ao Oscar na categoria de Melhor Atriz. No entanto, acumulando vitórias e indicações em diferentes premiações até então (incluindo inacreditáveis 13 indicações no Oscar), o caminho final do projeto pode ter um gosto extremamente amargo, e uma grande parte dessa culpa se deve a dupla Gascón e Audriad.

Ambos já fizeram péssimas declarações públicas através de diferentes canais midiáticos. Por exemplo, Audriad já disse que para fazer um filme mexicano não era preciso conhecer a história do México... Enquanto Gascón, além de ter uma coleção de publicações racistas e xenofóbicas publicadas por ela mesma em anos anteriores, acusou a equipe do filme brasileiro Ainda Estou Aqui de espalhar mentiras com o objetivo de prejudicar intencionalmente o desempenho dessa produção francesa. Tudo isso vem repercutindo negativamente, em diferentes camadas. Por outro lado, o interesse do espectador em relação ao filme está aumentando justamente por controvérsias (ainda que negativas) associadas a ele.

Eu acredito que até a próxima edição do Oscar acontecer, muita coisa ainda pode acontecer e até lá, a Netflix deve ter um plano para conter os possíveis danos que ainda podem emergir de toda essa confusão. Inclusive, Gascón chegou a desativar uma de suas contas em mídias sociais para esconder verdades e fugir dos ataques públicos (evidenciando as possíveis controvérsias que ela ainda pode protagonizar). Até lá, o que nos resta é esperar para ver o que vai acontecer na grande noite do cinema mundial no próximo dia 02 de março... Que já está ganhando um marketing 100% gratuito.

I just watched episode 7. There will be ten in total, so it's still airing. I was reluctant to watch this prequel series to the original Dexter. I knew nothing about it until I saw the trailer days before its premiere. At first I thought it was a joke or a fake pilot.

Dexter was an excellent series, whose fourth season was phenomenal, but from then on they stretched it too much and I watched the last few seasons out of inertia. Its ending left me with a bittersweet taste and years later they invented a new season to supposedly give a worthy ending and for me it was worse. That last season with Dexter's son as a teenager, did not leave many people happy, so I thought it would be the definitive end, plus Dexter ended up literally finished by his own blood.

With this Dexter Original Sin, they show us that he is still breathing and they take him to a hospital, this is the excuse for his whole life to happen in front of his eyes and show us when Dexter was a young medical student and how he becomes part of the Miami police forensic team. How he behaved as a young man, the code Harry taught him, his first victims and how he becomes the ruthless killer we all know from the original series.

Was it necessary? That's the question I asked myself when I started watching it. Definitely not. The original series had already shown us, through many flashbacks, how Harry taught him the code that the dark passenger had to abide by to quench his thirst for murder and not get caught. Besides, the important thing is to kill evildoers. No innocents. Only criminals who deserve to be put on the table for Dexter to feel the ecstasy of ending their lives.

Acabo de ver el episodio 7. En total serán diez, por lo que aún está en emisión. Me resistía a ver esta serie precuela del Dexter original. No sabía nada de ella hasta que vi el trailer días antes de su estreno. Al principio pensé que se trataba de una broma o de un falso piloto.

Esa última temporada con el hijo de Dexter de adolescente, no dejó contento a mucha gente, por lo que pensé que sería el final definitivo, además Dexter terminó literalmente acabado por su propia sangre.

Con este Dexter Original Sin, nos muestran que aún respira y lo llevan a un hospital, esta es la excusa para que toda su vida pase frente a sus ojos y nos muestren cuando Dexter era un joven estudiante de medicina y como llega a formar parte del equipo forense de la policía de Miami. Cómo se comportaba de joven, el código que le enseñó Harry, sus primeras víctimas y cómo se convierte en el despiadado asesino que todos conocemos de la serie original.

¿Era necesario? Esa es la pregunta que me hice cuando empecé a verla. Definitivamente no. It was set fifteen years before the Dexter we already knew, and to see that in those fifteen years Masuka, LaGuerta and Batista even dress the same, is not very credible. Sarah Michelle Gellar participates in the series as the head of the forensic team and Christian Slater plays Harry. Patrick Dempsey is in charge of giving life to Spencer the police chief. I recently finished the first season of a series that few people talk about despite the fact that it has an outstanding technical level and has a cast of real luxury. I still have it pending, but from England comes this remake in which Eric Rochant, creator of the original French series, also participated in the scripts.

The series without making much noise, has left Paramount satisfied, because before reaching the end, they announced that the series had been renewed for a second season. When I started watching it I had my doubts about whether they would leave it in a single season, since I did not see it mentioned so much in social networks. Fortunately I did get to see the characters of this series that I liked enough, although I feel it could have been better.

Hace poco terminé la primera temporada de una serie de la que poca gente habla a pesar de que tiene un nivel técnico sobresaliente y cuenta con un reparto de auténtico lujo. Es un thriller de espionaje de gran nivel y vi cada episodio semanalmente. Se titula La Agencia y está disponible en Paramount o Showtime, dependiendo del servicio de streaming de cada país.

La serie es un remake del superéxito francés Le Bureau des légendes, que tuvo cinco temporadas en su país de origen. El actor Mathieu Kassovitz interpretó el papel principal. Nunca llegué a verla y estaba en mi lista de producciones a ver, fue imposible conseguirla en versión subtitulada. Todavía la tengo pendiente , pero desde Inglaterra llega este remake en el que Eric Rochant, creador de la serie original francesa, también participó en los guiones.

La serie sin hacer mucho ruido, ha dejado satisfecha a Paramount, ya que antes de llegar al final, anunciaron que la serie había sido renovada por una segunda temporada. Para que estas historias sean inolvidables deben manejar un factor muy importante. Las emociones. Creo que aquí radica el fallo. Es una serie impecable a nivel técnico y con un reparto deseado por muchos, pero al final he notado algo de frialdad. Es difícil sentir empatía por alguno de los personajes. Había como una barrera que, en mi caso, podía mejorar la experiencia de visionado.

The beautiful Laura Lightfoot-Leon, who we recently saw in Americna Primeval, plays new agent Ruiz Morata, who must infiltrate a film program in Iran. The cast is larger and all are excellent in their characters.

¡Hola amigos! Hoy me paso por acá para traerles la reseña de una película que estaba ansiosa por ver, se trata de la remake de este clásico de terror vampírico: Nosferatu. Seguro que más de uno conoce la historia de este mítico vampiro, pero de todos modos, acá les va la trama.

La historia sigue a Thomas y Ellen, un joven matrimonio que intenta progresar en la vida. Thomas es un agente de bienes raíces y su jefe le pide que vaya a visitar a un conde bastante excéntrico para firmar el contrato de una vivienda que compró en la ciudad donde se encuentran ellos. Así empieza este viaje, donde Ellen le advierte que no vaya porque podría morir, ya que ella tiene visiones de este monstruo y la catástrofe que desatara en su camino para llegar hasta ella y sellar el pacto que establecieron hace años.

The story follows Thomas and Ellen, a young married couple trying to get ahead in life. Thomas is a real estate agent and his boss asks him to go visit a rather eccentric count to sign the contract for a house he bought in the town where they are located. Thus begins this journey, where Ellen warns him not to go because he could die, as she has visions of this monster and the catastrophe he will unleash on his way to get to her and seal the pact they established years ago.

Estaba con muchas ganas de ver esta película y quedé muy satisfecha con lo que encontré. Les tengo que confesar que no vi ninguna de las versiones anteriores así que no puedo comparar, pero me pareció muy buena. Una trama muy acertada para los tiempos que corren y una historia cautivadora y atrapante a pesar de sus años. Tengo el libro pendiente desde hace tiempo y ver esta película me dieron más ganas de leerlo, así que espero hacerlo pronto para descubrir la trama original.

I was really looking forward to see this movie and I was very satisfied with what I found. I have to confess that I didn't see any of the previous versions so I can't compare, but I thought it was very good. A very accurate plot for the times and a captivating and gripping story despite its years. I have had the book pending for a long time and seeing this movie made me want to read it even more, so I hope to do it soon to discover the original plot.

La historia tiene ese terror gótico que le suele gustar a muchos y cada escenario, fotografía y planos me cautivaron por completo. Siento que cada escena tuvo su magia y me transportaron a aquellos años donde se especulaba con las enfermedades, los delirios, las posesiones y los mitos. No dejó nada librado al azar, todo estuvo adaptado a aquellos antiguos tiempos y las viejas creencias, sin dejar de lado a los escépticos e incrédulos. Me metí de lleno en la historia y su época.

The story has that gothic horror that many like and every scene, photograph and shot completely captivated me. I feel that every scene had its magic and transported me to those years where speculation about diseases, delusions, possessions and myths. Nothing was left to chance, everything was adapted to those ancient times and old beliefs, without leaving aside the skeptics and unbelievers. I got right into the story and its era.

Las actuaciones me gustaron un montón, la de Lily-Rose Depp me fascinó, hizo una muy buena interpretación de su papel de doncella poseída por este monstruo de cuentos de terror como lo es Drácula. Y obviamente la interpretación de este vampiro también me encantó. El hecho de que no se viera tanto y causará terror a través de su voz, su respiración y su sombra, fue increíble. Algunas escenas me repelieron un poco y me dejaron impactada, pero me parecieron acertadas para la historia que estaban contando.

I liked the performances a lot, Lily-Rose Depp's fascinated me, she did a very good interpretation of her role as a maiden possessed by this monster of horror stories like Dracula. And obviously I also loved the interpretation of this vampire. The fact that she didn't look so much and caused terror through her voice, her breathing and her shadow, was incredible. Some scenes repelled me a bit and left me shocked, but I thought they were spot on for the story they were telling.

Es una película que me gustó muchísimo desde el principio hasta el final, a pesar de que duró un poco más de 2 horas, no la sentí pesada para nada. Me pareció una pieza maravillosa. La verdad que quedé encantada y no me pasa muy seguido esto, con decirles que me dieron ganas de verla de nuevo. Así que bueno, si no la vieron se las recomiendo porque vale la pena.

It's a movie that I liked very much from the beginning to the end, even though it lasted a little more than 2 hours, I didn't feel it was heavy at all. I thought it was a wonderful piece. The truth is that I was delighted and this doesn't happen to me very often, to tell you that I felt like watching it again. So, if you haven't seen it, I recommend it because it's worth it.
