The Gifted is an American superhero television series created for Fox by Matt Nix, based on Marvel Comics' X-Men properties, set in an alternate timeline to the X-Men film series where the X-Men have disappeared. The show was produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television, with Nix serving as showrunner.

I knew from the moment that Disney acquired Fox that this show will be cancelled. It was inevitable. The mutants are leaving the Underground and going to the MCU. Well this episode was great. I guess I am more into emotional plots rather than action, because this episode was pretty great in my opinion. The Strucker family arc really got to me. Well, I thought that the episode should have great, but it just ok. Sure, the stakes are higher, but not for most of the characters I care about. Not because the action was amazing, but because the script is actually good – meaning the plot is great in this episode and also promises more great episodes. This show has really grown on me. Despite clearly being low budget, the vey x-men themes that it brings up are really interesting. The interesting conflicts are shown best in this episode. This episode was full of action and flashbacks. It was so fun that it passed in a heartbeat. We learned more about the background stories of Eclipse and Polaris, and even Thunderbird.
